We touch on classification system in Italy (table wine… IGT… DOC… DOCG…) and then DIVE RIGHT INTO FRIULI!! Home of Pinot Gris and RAMATO style wines!

 

We like this region because the wines are more crisp & lean and that is our vibe when it comes to white wines. Winemaking tends to be more hands-off to achieve this, which we also like.

Note: that does NOT mean all wines from Friuli are natural…. They are just not going to be oaky and heavy and intense

 

We also recommend that you check out non Pinot Grigio from Friuli!!!! We didn't but… you should…

 

In LIFE TALKS today we are all about the effects of wealth on the imperative to work and how that all gets tangle up in our choices and our psyche and our sense of self-worth.

After many consecutive Sunday mornings at the wine bar discussing our wine obsessions and our personal lives, we thought to ourselves… do you think other people might care about this stuff? The answer to that question is still ambiguous. But we recorded a podcast anyway.
