(03:57):
this is the books of the bible.
We are up here, um, with thebooks of the bible I'm so
excited about today.
First, I want to say happy mlkey mlk day, happy martin king
day, and, and so tonight we aregoing to continue to talk about
(04:18):
what god has given us, aboutfaith, but we're gonna add a
little twist to it.
So I'm so excited, um, about it.
It's gonna be like a tributetwist to it, so I'm so excited
about it.
It's going to be like a tributeto Dr Martin King, on top of
talking about interdependenceand all that stuff.
So I'm so excited.
So, before I go any further, Iam going to go right on in with
(04:41):
prayer, because we want to moveswiftly, since we had technical
difficulties and so so I want tobe you know, be swift with
everything today.
So, anyways, I'm going to say aquick prayer, then we'll move
forward.
Okay, so, dear heavenly father,we come to you, god, we say
thank you.

We love you, we honor you, wecherish you.
It's in Jesus name that I pray,so hey y'all Look Amen.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I need to chill out.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I need to chill out.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Hey, good evening.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yes, I love that.
I love that.
Yes, so I'm so excited becausewe are using a new app today,
which is something that you knowhelp us be able to get the
message across, not just oneplatform, but a couple platforms
(06:40):
at the same time.
So we are talking with peoplefrom YouTube and a lot of people
from the Q for Christ pages andstuff like that, so I'm super
excited about that.
So, anyways, like I said, wewant to jump right on into it.
And so, since it is, we arecelebrating Martin Luther King
(07:01):
on today because, of course, weknow his birthday was January
15th, but we are celebrating himon today I wanted to kind of
bring what he did and into ourmessage on today, and I'm so
excited because, if you know him, you have been following us.
We have been talking aboutfaith and and of course, the F
(07:26):
is for faithful we want to befaithful, we want to be faithful
to God, to the calling, what hehas called us to, and then we
want to be available to God'swill, whatever he has called us.
We got to make sure that we say, yes, here I am Lord, yes, and
(07:46):
then we are to have been talkingabout the interdependence and
then, um, we got the teacherbook coming up next, and then
hunger.
So today we are talking abouthow Martin, how, how Dr Martin
Luther King, with you know hisand how he had to the
(08:08):
interdependence, and so how allof us had to work together, all
everybody during that time hadto collaborate and go into
partnership in order for him tobe able to do what he had dream
right, for his dream to comeabout.
And so, um, I'm so superexcited about this because it,
(08:30):
you know, we know that, that youknow the I have a dream speech
was one of the most iconicspeeches that in history, and
especially for us and those thatum there marching, I know my
mom, you know she used to makeus go to all the marches because
she was a part of the marchesback then, and not to say she,
(08:52):
oh, look y'all, I know y'allthinking, no, I don't think that
.
So, when you think about theinterdependence and how Dr
Martin Luther King had to relyon others, what comes to mind
(09:12):
when you think about that?
Either L Harper or Hillary.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Well, I mean, it was
a lot of people back then.
I know Martin Luther King, hecould not have done all of that
by himself, right, a lot ofpeople coming together, working
together to get it done, and Ithink you know everybody's name
(09:43):
wasn't mentioned, of course, because it was a lot of people
that was behind the scene.
And we're still, even today, finding out who was there and
who did this and who did that, and you know it took a lot of
work from everybody.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Hey, yes, yes, it did
, and um and so, uh, elder
harper, what do you think aboutit?
I?
Speaker 1 (10:14):
know, I wish you
could get her video on it anyway
, what you think about it no,yeah, I agree totally with
hillary.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
I think, um, that's,
that's a big deal, that you know
, it was a great big project, agreat big vision.
It was huge, and nobody can dosomething like that by
themselves.
And I've heard it often saidthat, um, if the thing that we
think that we can do, the visionthat we have, if it seems like
(10:38):
we can do it ourselves, that isnot from the Lord.
So he really depended on plentyof people to accomplish what he
wanted to do Exactly.
And so, yeah, I mean, we haveto know that you know our vision
.
Yes, god, give us the vision, but we have to have a circle, we
(11:02):
have to have some people thatcould help us accomplish these
goals.
And so one of the correlationthat in the Bible that I, you
know, god put to mind was whenNehemiah was going to rebuild
the wall of Jerusalem.
(11:24):
And so I wanted to kind oftoday, you know, kind of you
know show the similarity of whathappened between Nehemiah had
(11:45):
to, he wanted, he had a burningto go back and help build the
wall for his people.
And and so we I'm a readNehemiah 2 and 17 to 17 through
18.
I'm trying to get you up tospeed because is you know, and
(12:05):
I'm going to try to go fast, butyou know, nehemiah, he was
working for a big king and youknow he was the cup bearer,
where you know that was a veryextreme job, where he tasted the
wine before the king drunk itto make sure it wasn't any
(12:26):
poison, but his, you know, hisbrother came and his brother
told him how it, you know, theircountry was being burnt and and
how it was the sadness thatcame on his heart, and so he
wanted to go back and build awall, and so the verses that I
read to y'all he had to reallyhave the courage to be able to
(12:51):
ask could he go back?
You know what I'm saying.
But he had found favor in theLord and he asked God to.
You know, please, help him findfavor in the king's heart.
And so, right here, where, whereI'm gonna read to you is
nehemiah 2, 17 through 18, and Idon't want to, I can't go back
(13:12):
and read too much because I knowwe, for the sake of time, but I
plead with you all, I and I dothis every week Please go and,
you know, read the whole, thewhole chapter, and don't just
read that one chapter, go backand read so you can get some
(13:34):
context and be able to say youknow, no, I can give you a
little bit and get you up tospeed.
I can't, you know, I won't beable to sit here the whole time.
So so anyways, verse two, 17through 18, it said then I said
to them you see the badsituation that we are in, how
(13:55):
Jerusalem is desolate and liesin ruins and its gates have been
burned with fire.
Come and let us rebuild thewall of Jerusalem so that we
would no longer be a disgrace.
And his brother was coming andasking him this.
So in verse 18, it said then Itold them how the hand of my God
(14:19):
had been favorable to me, andalso about the words been
favorable to me, and also aboutthe words that the king had
spoken to me, and they said letus rise up and build.
So they thoroughly supportedthe good work.
So at this point he had alreadyfound favor with the king and
(14:42):
they told him they gave himeverything.
Now, found favor with the king, and they told they gave him
everything.
Now, when you think about that, darlene, you know how sometimes
we'd be so scared to even askpeople for stuff, when we got to
burn it in our heart forcertain things, how, you know,
when you look at this and youthink about what Dr Martin
Luther King had to go through, when he thought about it like OK
(15:05):
, god, you called me for this.
And you know, when he had to,like, go ask, how do you think
he felt in that moment when theyhad to say, oh, I got to go ask
somebody to help.
You know, I'm, I'm, I'mthinking, maybe that what you
(15:28):
mentioned regarding the passionthat burning in the heart,
there's something unction tofunction on the inside of us.
(15:48):
So there has to be somemobility and that picks up the
momentum.
And I believe that he was ableto ride the wave of the momentum
that was created.
And it's not to say that youknow he probably didn't have
hiccups or challenges, um, youknow, along the way, but you
(16:11):
know he probably was realized.
This was a selfless mission, youknow and so it just kind of had
to be done, and that to me, Imean, you're not thinking about
yourself so much, you know,right?
So, though he may have probablyhad some apprehensions, I don't
(16:33):
think it probably bothered himtoo too much, right?
Because you know, like you said, when you you know, especially
when you have found favor withGod, and it's sometimes you know
, like you said, when you youknow, especially when you have
found favor with God, and andit's sometimes you know we have
to, we have to know that it's aGod given mission, right?
(16:53):
So when you got a God givenmission, it don't matter Like
it's yeah, it's, it's difficultto open your mouth, but you, you
know that you got God back andit get a little bit easier,
right?
and so um, you know.
So the first point that I wantto talk about is the shared
vision that requires partnership.
(17:15):
Uh, we know that Dr MartinLuther King, the civil rights
movement, was not a one-manmission, right, right, you know,
dr King, he partnered withorganizations like Southern
Christian Leadership Conference, other leaders like Ralph
Abernathy and Bayard Rustin anda lot of people that, like you
(17:36):
said, hillary, a lot of peoplewasn't named.
It was a lot of activists.
That wasn't named.
It was a lot of people thatmarched in protest and prayed
for this change.
You know, and just like howNehemiah, you know he had to get
a lot of people.
You know the king had to writea letter to allow him to be able
(17:58):
to go past, and allow a letterfor him to get the material to
help build the wall and stufflike that.
And so when you think about thatword partnership and see a lot
of people don't want to humblethemselves enough to have to be
in partnership with people.
But when you think about doinggreat things and how it requires
(18:21):
that partnership, you know, like white for me, you know, I
know, like the scripture says inEcclesiastes, four and nine,
two are better than one.
So, you know, when I thinkabout this and so I'm looking at
you, hillary, cause you likeyou got something to say.
You like you got something tosay when you think about that
(18:41):
word partnership how heavy orstrong that word relies to you.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Well, it all is
determined on who you're
partnered with.
If you have an awesome partnerthat is doing things and all
hands on, I don't mind beingpartnered with you.
But if you have somebody that'sgoing to let you do all the
work and they take all thecredit, then that partnership is
not a great partnership.
So it all depends on who youpartnered with, right.
(19:24):
If you partnered with you know, right, if you partnered with
God.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Then, yeah, girl, I
was thinking, you know, a net
partnership made me think abouta marriage.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, everybody have to dotheir part, yeah, everybody have
to do their part.
Yeah, everybody have to dotheir part.
And, um, everybody have to havethat shared vision and, and
(19:49):
when it comes to that, you know,we have to make sure that we
are, um, you know, to achievethe vision.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Right, I feel like
you got to make it plain right
you got to be on the same page, because if you get somebody who
is seem like they're on the onthe enemy team, it's like Lord
Darlene what do you got to sayabout that little shit, lord
(20:23):
Jesus?
Speaker 2 (20:29):
What you got to say
about that Elder Harbor?
No, I don't have anything, Idon't.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
You just got to make
sure you got the right partner,
honey.
You got to make sure you gotthe right partner, honey.
You got to make sure you gotthe right partner man.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
And Harper, what you
got to say about that.
Like you know, I'm trying tocome back for that because,
hillary, I'm stumped, I don'thave it.
Lord, have mercy.
But you know, like you say, youhave to make sure that they're
(21:08):
not on the, they're leaning onthe Lord's side.
Leaning on the Lord's side?
Where do you stand?
Who's on the Lord's side?
That is so true because youknow.
But you know, elder Harper, havethere been any visions that God
(21:29):
has given you that you just hadto, like, lay down and humble
yourself in partnership with andsay you know what.
I'm going to do this withsomebody, with you?
I think it was the opposite forme, because it's been more of
he's wanting me to do thingsmyself.
I think I've been more quickerto look and reach for help and
(21:54):
want assistance and things likethat.
So I'm kind of on the other endof the spectrum with that.
But partnering overall ingeneral is still good and the
partnering that I do have toendure is the pushing.
Is the pushing when I don'twant to be pushed.
So that's still a form ofpartnering, because, you know,
(22:18):
there may be times where it doesget hard or challenging, or we
don't want to go or move, or youknow, it's not the flow that we
are looking for.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
But, you know that
help is there and Darlene, you
got something there because, like a lot of the movies that
I've seen with Martin LutherKing, you know he had to be
pushed.
He had to do a lot of stuff andyou know sometimes you have to
(22:48):
be pushed A lot of people arepushing to their greatness Right
.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Right, and you know
it does go both ways.
You know what I'm saying, you Imean.
But you know that in the end, even if you are going to be
pushed, they you know that it'sa God, god given mission and
it's like, okay, well, you know,I'm gonna push you.
(23:15):
I'm gonna push you because Ineed you.
You know what I'm saying.
Some people don't add value toit.
So if you, if they not going toadd value to it, then you ain't
got to push them, you got toworry about them.
Look, I don't need you anyway.
You know what I'm saying, so Ishouldn't have to push you.
But when you know that God hassent you to this person or
(23:36):
whatever, then that's when youhave to say, okay, I need you,
you need me, let's get thistogether.
And you know, I see a pictureand I wish I had, or I could
have, could have displayed it,but one of my, one of my inmates
had put it up and it was apicture of fish that they were,
(24:00):
they were all all together.
Fish that they were alltogether.
It was like fish that made onebig fish to kill the shark.
And it was like, oh my God, itwas so powerful because if we
all can come together like that,we can all get the mission
(24:26):
accomplished, which is to goagainst the enemy, right, you
know I'm saying, and so that wasso powerful in itself.
I was like, wow, that's such apowerful thing, so so, but
anyways, um, moving on to thenext one is the overcoming the
challenges through thecollaboration, and I think that
would right what we was talkingabout.
That's one of the challenges iswhen you got to push somebody
and like, for me, that's one ofthe challenges.
Is when you got to pushsomebody and like, for me,
that's one of the challenges, like God, you know this person,
I got to pull a teeth.
(24:48):
You know.
Like my God ain't no dentist, you know what I'm saying.
Like I got to pull a teeth, youknow so.
But we know that even with DrMartin Luther King, the civil
rights movement, he faced a lotof oppositions, including
threats, violence and systematicinjustice.
So we know that Dr King reliedon the strength of the
(25:10):
collective to persevere.
And so, and then Nehemiah, rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem
.
He was not without oppositioneither.
Jerusalem, he was not withoutopposition either.
He had enemies that he had todeal with, like Sambalet and
Tobiah.
They mocked and tried todiscourage the workers.
(25:31):
And so we know that even whenyou do have the partnership, you
have to know that you are goingto face those challenges, those
different types of challenges, right, we know that it's going
to come, we don't have to worryabout.
We know one thing that's goingto happen for sure is we're
(25:53):
going to get those oppositions.
So when you think about thatword and even some of the
challenges that happened, um,with dr martha luther king, um,
especially like the violencethat went along with it, um, how
do you think that he felt whenhe had to deal with that?
Speaker 3 (26:12):
you know I can
imagine him not feeling good at
all was like.
God, you know why.
Why me, right?
Why do I have to do it?
You know they did a lot backthen and I thank God that you
(26:37):
know for them.
Because if it was me, I wasyeah, I think they were built
different back then, like forreal.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Because if it was me,
I was, I don't know they were
built different back then, likefor real, like you know, and
even though I mean girl, justlooking at Nehemiah and how he
handled his, he prayed andorganized the people to defend
themselves while continuing thework.
(27:03):
You know I'm saying that'salmost like dr mark luther king.
Dr mark luther king alwayswanted to result with no
violence, right, you know?
And yes, you know, like yousaid, what I mean.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean tocurse you out, I'm sorry.
Oh, no, I was saying, oh, mamasaid he had to rely on God.
(27:29):
Yes, he really did, because Imean violence is violence.
You know, those hardships wereawful and, like Hillary said, I
really can't imagine, because Ithink they probably really lived
at a high level of stressbecause you know they were
(27:55):
concerned about their lives.
It was always very risky itshouldn't have been and I
believe, like she said, you didhave to rely on God for strength
to continue.
(28:16):
It probably was a lot and Ithink that that's why people who
are called, who are chosen, they're given the grace to be
able to go through things right, right and, like the bible, um
says in nehemiah 4, 14.
It says don't be afraid of them.
Remember the lord, who is greatand awesome, and fight for your
(28:40):
families, your sons and yourdaughters, your wives and your
home.
So when you know that rightthere in itself, like, like you
know, like my mom just said, youhave to rely on God, you know,
even in those things, those arethe things that we have to do is
know that God has our back, regardless of any situation that
(29:05):
comes, any obstacle that come.
You know our God, sure that wealways, always speak of how God
(29:29):
is with us.
You know what I'm saying.
And especially, you know whenwe know that it's a God-given
mission, right?
You can't mess with me when Iknow that it's God, I know that
God sent me.
You know what I'm saying.
Yeah, so anyways, the next oneis trusting God and relying on
(29:49):
other strength.
You know Dr Martin Luther KingJr.
He relied on prayer and hisunwavering faith in God.
That was his foundational andleadership and his foundational
to leadership.
So he also trusted in the giftsof others to make the movement
(30:10):
successful, like speech writersand the community leaders, and
play key roles, and so, and withNehemiah, he trusted God
throughout the building process.
He had to entrust with all thepeople that was going to help,
the talents and the strength ofothers and stuff like that.
(30:32):
So when you think about that andwe're talking about
interdependence, right, like theBible says in 1 Corinthians, 12
and 12, just as a body, thoughone has many parts but all has
many parts, form one body, so itis with Christ.
So when you think about that, the interdependence and how this
(30:54):
right here shows that we haveto rely on others, they had to
rely on other strength whatcomes to mind when you think
about that?
I mean, because I know, like Isaid, we've been talking about
interdependence, but when youthink about a god-given mission
like this, like dr martin, luther king, and like how, um,
(31:14):
nehemiah, what, what y'all thinkabout that?
I think, um, that it's a, aperson would have to move with
total and complete faith because, looking forward at what you're
supposed to be doing, whereyou're going, what the lord put
(31:35):
on your heart, um, you literallyare now, I'm not gonna say
waiting for things to fall inyour lap, but you definitely
have to be stepping forward andreaching out.
At the same time, you know it'slike you just automatically
know the lord is about toprovide all right.
(31:58):
Right, because how else?
You know literally, how else sois that faith is reaching?
And so if he was praying, thenhe had already obtained those
things through prayer and hisactions was really just
following through with what hebelieved he had already received
(32:21):
.
So, those connections that hehad to have with various people,
like you said, in the communitywho helped him with various
tasks and everything that had tobe like, like strategic people
in certain locations, all ofthose things are very, very like
.
I have to be God led, you know, something so large, like at the
(32:44):
magnitude that he was able toaccomplish, I mean that really,
this really could be, um, anexample of a move of God, like
of, you know the power of theLord um, coming through for what
you know, accomplishing what hewants to get done Right.
And I use people like him forexamples regarding faith and
(33:09):
things like that all the time, because I just believe that when
he chooses people to advancethe kingdom and advance society,
he is taking I'm not going tosay taking over, but he is
orchestrating things behind thescenes, you see.
(33:32):
So when we see manifestation onthe outside of all this great
action and all of these thingstaking place, we have to know
that it wasn't, you know, peopleby themselves just coming up
with ideas, doing stuff.
You know, for that level ofcohesion and and community and
things like that, it it just theLord has to be in it Right.
(33:56):
And and, like you said, especially the, the um faith
that he had to exhibit like canyou imagine the faith that you
had to exhibit, especially whenyou were, you know um and and
I'm saying you know dr martin, luther king, but even nehemiah,
and I can even go back to youknow how moses had to depend on
(34:20):
certain people you know what I'msaying, Like you know that
faith, especially to accomplishthings as this big of a
magnitude, right.
You know, just like with, andthe only reason why I was
thinking about Moses, I wasthinking about how, you know,
the children of Israel waspraying for a savior, and I know
(34:43):
that even during the civilrights, a lot of people was
praying for a savior.
You know I'm saying like waspraying for a way out, praying
for a different, a change ofthings, and and when God you
know we would they were prayingabout it and God put it on his
heart, you know, and for him to,you know, have had to have that
(35:06):
unwavering faith and say, ok,you know what, I'm going to do
something about this.
You know what I'm saying.
And I need it all.
Like Hillary said earlier, allhands on deck, like I need, I
need everybody that that isgoing to help.
It might not be, it might notlook good on the other side, but
we're going to make it Rightand so, um, you know, I think
(35:30):
that that that is that is veryhuge.
You know what I'm saying.
Like to especially to completea vision that big and that huge.
So, um, when you think aboutthe vision that God has given us
, we have a little small vision.
Wow, we be having vision likewriting a book.
(35:56):
You know what I'm saying oh, Ijust got to write a book.
You know what I'm saying, notjust book.
You know what I'm saying, or?
Not just but, I'm just saying, you know, god gives some people
a little vision.
They be scared to even.
You know, partnership withothers and people like Dr Martin
(36:18):
Luther King had to get you knowdo something so huge and so
great.
I could just imagine all thethings that he had to deal with.
You know.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
I don't even think he
imagined like, he even saw the
change that you know was comingRight right.
He just knew he had to dosomething.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Right.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
And their bats were
against the wall.
Like I said, I can't imaginebeing born in that time.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
I could just imagine
Literally I mean you know like I
said and Mama could attest toit, I know she marched once,
once or twice, I think it was.
I can imagine having to justmarch for my freedom.
(37:15):
You know what I'm saying.
When we got all this freedom todo whatever, you know what I'm
saying and we take it forgranted, we don't want to
partner with nobody.
We don't want to share nothingwith nobody.
We don't even want to sharewhat the Lord done, did for us.
A lot of people don't even wantto tell the goodness of Jesus.
They be scared.
You know what I'm saying, andit is not that they don't want
(37:39):
to.
Some people they are scaredbecause people think you
boasting and bragging or whatnot.
You know what I'm saying.
And sometimes we have torecognize that God places people
in our life for a reason.
You know we got to learn how tolean on other people.
We got to learn on, you know, like, be willing to take their
(38:02):
gifts or help them, you know.
And so we got to be as people.
We got to be united for the Godgiven vision, you know.
You know.
So I mean like, when you thinkabout that darling, like what I
said about how people don't wantto, even want to do the small
(38:23):
thing.
They only want to do the smallchallenges.
All right, yeah, because Idon't know the world we live in.
Like I said, they were builtdifferent and we just be on some
other stuff too.
It's like, why is it so hardfor us to just like be happy for
(38:45):
each other to um, to do, um,like to, to not be jealous or to
or to, you know, encourage?
And I think some groups got itgoing good, but some it's like
it's still a challenge and so,and on the other aspect of what
(39:06):
we're talking about, yeah, histask was so great and there are
small things, oh my gosh.
And there are small things, ohmy gosh.
Now I feel like we talk aboutme again, because I mean the
simplest stuff that has to getdone you know, the smallest
thing.
It's, like mine, monumental,like it's just so big and it's I
(39:29):
can't imagine all the stuffthat he had to actually not let
the ball drop on him.
You know what I mean.
Like what if he was like eh, I'mnot going to do it today, or
you know, right, I'm going towait for so-and-so to get back
with me, girl, and we be, so,like you said, we be ready to
(39:54):
just cancel it.
Well, it is a little slow, butwe be ready to just cancel it.
Well, it is a little snow, butwe be ready to cancel it.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
It's just a little
snow.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
We be like uh-uh, I
ain't spending the go out, you
want me to march?
Speaker 3 (40:08):
Uh-uh, my daughter
came to me and she was like can
I stay at home tomorrow?
It's going to be cold, right?
No?
Speaker 2 (40:19):
And they had to march
in cold weather.
We be ready to shut it down.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Shut everything down.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
I don't even want to
go to work tomorrow.
It's supposed to be 12 degreesand feel like six degrees and
I'm like, look at it.
It's supposed to be 12 degreesand feel like six degrees and
I'm like, look at it.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
It's going to be
eight degrees here.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
I'm like y'all ain't
going to close this door, ain't
nobody going to be thinkingabout this stuff?
You know what I'm saying, like, and we be sitting up here just
complaining, complaining,complaining, when you have
people like Nehemiah and you gotpeople like Dr Martin Luther
King that say you know what myheart burns for this?
(41:00):
You know what I'm saying, andso we have to keep in mind that.
You know Dr Martin Luther King.
He once said faith is takingthe first step even when you
don't see the whole staircase.
Oh my God, oh my goodness.
And so we know that right there, that whole statement and what
(41:23):
we've been talking about isfaith, right.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
It takes faith to do
all of what Dr Martin Luther
King Jr did.
It takes faith to do all ofwhat Dr Martin Luther King Jr
did.
It takes faith to do all ofwhat Nehemiah did.
It takes faith to do everythingthat we have talked about thus
far.
It takes faith, you know, andso you know, when you think
(41:55):
about that taking that firststep, when you don't see the
whole staircase, oh my goodness, that is a that's such a
powerful statement.
You know I'm saying when umbecause a lot of people.
You know they don't see.
They want to know the whole, how it's gonna end.
You know where it's gonna start, what, what's gonna happen, who
gonna be there.
You know how, when people call, when you're going over to
somebody's house, you're likewho all over there?
(42:15):
I don't know?
Yeah, I think that's thecraziest thing.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
Sometimes we like
that, even when it comes to
working a job, if you don't knowexactly how much you're gonna
get paid and when you're gonnaget paid, you'd be kind of
scared like uh, oh, my goodnessright, you know, I don't even
(42:49):
want to take this leap, and notknow, not know the known right,
oh man, so anyways, anyways, we,I wanted to make sure we
highlighted what dr marthaluther king jr did on tonight.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
um, I didn't want to
hold too long because I knew
that we, you know, since, sinceour technical stuff got a little
difficult, we, you know, Ididn't want to hold too long.
So, but I think, I really thinkthat this is something that we
need to keep in mind.
(43:28):
You know, dr Martin Luther KingJr was very important in our
lives when it comes to ourfreedom, right, and you know,
and the only reason, not theonly reason, but the correlation
with Nehemiah he was veryimportant to the wall in
(43:50):
Jerusalem, right, because itmade history.
And so we need to keep in mindthat, whatever God has called us
, we can link up with otherpeople so we can accomplish
God's visions God-driven visions, you know, god-driven missions.
(44:11):
God give us all this.
So we have to make sure that weare not holding back because we
don't want a partnership withsomeone, or not holding back
because we don't want to shareour vision with someone, and not
hold it back because we don'twant to rely on nobody else.
(44:33):
We often, all the time, thinkthat we can do it, I can do it
myself.
You know what I'm saying, andthen yourself messed up
everything.
Like Darlene said, drop theball.
So, ella Harper, if you haveanything else left to say and
you could go ahead on and prayus out, we're going to get up
(44:55):
out of here tonight.
Yes, I really, I really hopethat we, you know, just don't
hold back.
And and that's just what wewere talking about.
You know that we are, that werealize that, um, that this is a
whole kind of like system thatGod built to, where each, each
(45:19):
other's assistance is required, like it's set up that way.
It really really really is setup that way, not only for it to
get accomplished, yes, but alsofor our own souls, because he
doesn't want us to think that wedid anything by ourselves.
(45:40):
So to stay like Jesus, to stayin a humble place, to be like
him, working together, keeps usI'm not going to say equal, but
you know, in relationship, inpartnership, knowing that it,
you know you couldn't havegotten anywhere by yourself, and
(46:01):
I think that does something toour psyche.
I think that helps us fromgetting a big head, you know,
right, without even realizing it.
So he already built it in therefor us to be maintained, like
his character within us to bemaintained.
So it's, it's.
(46:22):
It's just needed all around.
It's need all around because wedidn't even get into you know
how, like, when we're pulling onother people, like you said,
their gifts, their talents, right, they have an opportunity.
Right, they have an opportunityto shine, they have an
opportunity to blossom.
They have an opportunity to pourout as well.
Their part is just as important, you know, and it sets them up.
(46:46):
It could even be a launchingpad for their next place.
That's what I love about thekingdom of God, because it
ricochets it, ping pongs, heaccelerates us.
That secretary who helped himwrite his speech, or whoever the
person was, they probably wenton to do bigger and greater
things, you know what I mean wecontinue on from there and go on
(47:12):
to help even other people, andeven in their process.
So there's a level ofmultiplication that takes place
even in this unity, with usworking together.
So that's our prayer Amen.
So, father God, we thank youtonight, lord God, for your word
, your truth and, most of all, your examples, lord God, tonight
(47:36):
, that helps us to stay in faith, to stay in the faith, to stay
believing and to stay trustingin the way that you have set
things in order.
I pray, god, that we be peoplewho believe in you, believe in
the things that you have put inour heart, believe that they can
be accomplished, believe in thethings that you have put in our
heart, believe that they can beaccomplished, but knowing they
(48:03):
can't be accomplished withoutbeing interdependent, without us
relying on each other and, mostof all, partnering with you.
So I pray that your people, lord God, your creation, your
children, father, that we firstconnect with you, that we
receive our salvation, god, thatwe call on you, that we receive
what we need from you, lord, and be empowered and we have
vision to be able to delegate,to go out, to connect with
others, knowing that you areJehovah, jireh and you will
(48:27):
provide.
So I praise you, god, for thisopportunity to chit chat about
your goodness, lord God, and Ipray that we continue to share
that goodness with others.
In Jesus name, we pray Amen, amen, Amen, oh, amen.
I'm so excited that we wereable to get on here and and
(48:50):
share that.
Um, like you said, elder Harper, and we know that this will not
take place if you do not giveyour life to Christ.
You have to go and start there.
This is where you have to startand you have to give your life
to Christ, and all you have todo is act.
(49:12):
A-c-t-s.
You can acknowledge that youare a sinner, you can confess
with your mouth and believe inyour heart that Jesus Christ, he
died and he rose on the cross, and you can turn from your ways,
your evil ways they may not beas evil to you, but they're not
pleasing to him and you can seekafter a Bible based church, a
(49:34):
church that is teaching the wordof God and not changing the
word of God.
And so we thank you.
Thank you again.
Thank you, elder Harper, forbeing on here.
Thank you, hillary for being onhere.
We know that.
Let me tell y'all.
We know that God is real.
He has brought us to this point.
(49:55):
We know that he is going totake us higher to higher.
Make sure you are going to thewebsite.
You are going to the website.
Don't forget to get your book.
Grab your book why Not Me?
And you could go towwwcuteforchristcom or you could
(50:15):
go to amazoncom.
So I'm so excited.
Thank you, hillary.
Thank you hillary, thank youelder harper and um, so, anyways
, anyways, y'all, just stay cutefor Christ.
All right, bye y'all.
