Imagine finding a path from brokenness to breakthrough, and paving the way with faith and determination. That's the journey I embarked on, leading to the release of my book, "Why Not Me? A Blueprint from Brokenness to Breakthrough." In this episode of Q for Christ, I share the transformative QUICKEN framework that has been my guiding light—Quicken, United, Educated, Understanding, Excited, and Determined. Join me for an exploration of how embracing these values can empower your spiritual journey.

What does it mean to be truly FAITHFUL? We unpack this question by examining the FAITHFUL acronym—Faithful, Available, Interdependent, Teachable, and Hungry for God. Through the stories of biblical figures like Samuel and insights from scriptures such as Hebrews 11:1 and Isaiah 6:8, we explore how faithfulness and availability open us to God's call. Delve into the beauty of interdependence, the humility of teachability, and the passionate pursuit of righteousness, supported by real-life anecdotes and biblical wisdom.

Our spiritual journey is also about trust and transformation. By listening to God's voice, as Samuel did, we learn the importance of obedience and spiritual habits. Using the A-C-T-S acronym—Acknowledge, Confess, Turn, Seek—we explore how transformation comes from giving our lives to Christ and the profound change it brings. Wrapping up with a heartfelt prayer and encouragement to stay connected, I invite you to join our Q for Christ community and find support, inspiration, and love on this journey of faith. Visit our website for more resources to aid your spiritual growth, and let's continue this journey together.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Hi everyone, this is Kiana, your creator and the host
of Q for Christ, and I am soexcited to be up here.
Oh, my goodness, it has beensuch a journey, a journey, a
journey, a journey when I say ajourney, this week has been just

(00:50):
a little, um, a littledifficult, but it's been great
because God is good, because Godis over, right.
So, anyways, I um want to geton here.
As you can see, I am here alone, but it's okay, because we got
Elder Harper there traveling, and Hillary, she's traveling,
and she might be able to join usin a minute, and so while I'm

(01:13):
sitting here talking, you know,I can tell y'all a little bit
about the book.
I want you all, I want to saythank you to everyone that has
purchased the book.
Okay, I am so excited to evenbe able to say that I am an

(01:34):
author now.
Okay, that is something thatI've always dreamt about being.
I always thought that being anauthor you had to be like a
professor or something like that.
You had to be like, you know, some extinguished person or
whatnot.
But not to say that I'm not,but I'm just saying you know, it

(01:55):
has always been a dream of mineand to have done it.
It's a beautiful experience.
So I want to say thank you toeveryone that has purchased the
book.
Um, I don't see everybody, andso you know I have some people
that have sent me pictures thatthey have gotten their book and

(02:16):
everything, so I'm so excitedabout that.
If you want to go in andpurchase the book, you can
always go to amazoncom and youcan go and you can get your book
.
Why not me?
It's a blueprint frombrokenness to breakthrough, okay
, and when I say that, I saythat you know, with everything

(02:37):
in my heart, that this bookright here is something that I
live.
It's nothing that I in thatbook is nothing that I put in
there just to just to be writing.
I put in there because I knowthat it can help you get to your
breakthrough and I know that itis going to be such a.
It's such a beautiful, um, abeautiful thing.

(02:58):
What God has given me, thisframework, what God has given me
.
Okay, and when I tell you thatit is, it is my lifestyle now,
it is definitely my lifestyle, and I talk to people about being
cued and you know you like Itell people sometimes I have to
go back to the calling that Godhas called me to, that

(03:20):
quickening.
You know um, the acronym quicken, united, educated,
understanding, excited anddetermined.
So sometimes I have to go backto that calling.
I have to see what God hascalled me.
I have to be like you reallycalled me to this God.
I have to make sure that hecalled me to this.
And then sometimes I have tojust get around people, unite

(03:48):
myself with others, people thatyou know are doing the things
that God is taking me to, eventhe next level that I'm on.
I have to get around those typeof people and then I get more
education.
Education is something that Ialways, always talk about and
you know we have to make surewe're educating ourselves.
We have to find out ways to getmore education.
And then, after I do all ofthat sometimes I may have to

(04:11):
understand it again I say God,you, really, you know I have to
understand what God is doing andwhere he's taking me.
But after I go back to thebeginning, I get it and then I
get more excited and determined.
So you will see me all year.
You'll be like, oh, she done, got excited, she done got
determined to do what God saidyes.

(04:31):
Yes, that means I done wentthrough this acronym Okay,
because certain days I'd be like, oh God, like you really called
me to this.
Oh God, okay.
But you know, it is amazing, like I always say, that this is
something that I get to do.
You know, I don't have to do it, I get to do it, and it's a

(04:54):
privilege to be a vessel forChrist.
It's a privilege to do thethings that he has called me to
do, to be able to do it, youknow, and have the grace to do
it.
You know, because some days Iget up and I'll be like Lord, I
don't want to, I don't feel likeit, but some days I have to, I
have to push through it.
You know, my mom always told meit's a blessing in the present,

(05:16):
and so one thing that I havelearned is to continue to keep
pushing.
All right, so so, anyways, Ijust wanted to say that, um, I
am, as you know, this is thebooks of the Bible, okay.
So I said all of that to saythis, this Bible, and this is

(05:39):
something that is so near anddear to my heart, and so anytime
, any time that I have to beable to do this is something
that I I.
I literally say I am going todo it.
You know, I have to go.
Even when I'm tired, even whenI'm sick, even when I'm not
feeling well, I have to get uphere and do this because this is

(06:00):
where I get my strength and Iand I and I say that because I
am deciphering the Bible andbeing able to read the Bible,
being able to learn it on adifferent scale, is different
for me.
And so I'm excited to be uphere with the books of the Bible
.
I'm excited to be on here and, like I said last week, if you

(06:22):
want to join me, you can makesure you reach out to me, OK,
and then we'll get you on here.
So, anyways, anyways, I am goingto say a quick prayer before I
go any further and then we willjust dive right on into it,

(06:43):
because we have been talkingabout faith and I'm going to
reiterate the acronym and thenI'll go into the lesson of today
.
So, anyways, dear HeavenlyFather, I come to you, god, I
say thank you for everythingthat you are doing in our life,
god.
I thank you for all the waysthat you have made, all the
doors that you have opened, everything that you're doing in

(07:04):
our life.
God, I thank you for all theways that you have made, all the
doors that you have opened, everything that you're doing.
God, we count it all, joy.
God, we just thank you now forallowing us to be able to
discuss the word of God.
God, we thank you now for thehouses that are watching God,
that are represented on thisline.
God, go with them now.
Touch them in their needs.

(07:24):
God, you know their needs.
God, you know if they're sick.
You know if they need afinancial blessing.
God, you know if they needpeace.
God, we just ask you now totouch them, god, from the crown
of their head to the sole oftheir feet, god.
God, we ask you now.
Even the ones that want to behere, god, we thank you now for
them, the ones that are watchinglater, the ones that are

(07:45):
watching even next year, god, weask you to give them the
strength from on high, god, because we know that you can do
it, and so we thank you, god,for allowing me to be here, god,
even throughout the sicknessthat the enemy has tried to
inflict on my body.
God, we just thank you nowbecause we know that you sit
high and look low and you can doexceedingly, abundantly, above

(08:09):
all that we can ask or think.
So we thank you now for whatyou're doing.
We love you, god, for who youare.
We thank you now for hiding mebehind the cross, allowing
someone to receive this word, god, that you have given me, god
, I thank you now just forallowing it to go to the right
person, that you're trying toget it to God.

(08:31):
And so we thank you now, god,for what you're doing.
We thank you, we love you, wehonor you, we cherish you.
It's in Jesus' name that I pray.
Amen, got to shake it off.
Huh, oh, hallelujah.
We thank you.
We thank you for for being here.
Um, I'm talking to the holyspirit.

(08:52):
We thank you, thank him forbeing here, because he is here.
So, anyways, anyways, as youknow, a couple weeks ago, we
started on faith, and God hasgiven us this acronym a couple
years ago, where we are justjust learning faith.
I mean, faith is something thatwe all need.

(09:15):
Okay, because it's it's betterto have it before you need it,
right, but we often need faith, and so that's why we have to
strengthen our faith, and theonly way that we can strengthen
our faith is by continuing to dothe things that god has called
us to do and continuing to lookpast the situation.

(09:35):
Okay, we have to always lookpast what the enemy is trying to
give, give, put on us, okay, um, and so the acronym that God
has given me is something thatwe are diving into and we're
taking a book of the Bible wherewe are going to talk about that
acronym for that month, okay, and so I wanted to give you that

(09:59):
.
I want it, you know, if this isyour first time watching, I
want you to understand that thisis what we're doing on the
books of the Bible.
For this month, ok, and well, this season, right, and so.
So the acronym that God hasgiven me is faithful, right, it
start with faithful, that's theF, like the Bible says in

(10:22):
Hebrews 11 and one, like theBible says in Hebrews 11 and 1,
now, faith is the confidence inwhat we hope for and assurance
about what we do not see.
And so we know faithfulnessmeans trusting God consistently,
even when circumstances arechallenging.
You know, we have to be able toknow that we can be reliable

(10:43):
and steadfast in ourrelationship with him, so we
cannot allow the enemy to comeand, yeah, he show us things,
but we can't allow the things todistract us from being faithful
to what God has called us to do.
Okay, and so we have to remainfaithful in our daily walk.

(11:04):
We have to remain faithful,okay.
So we talked about that all lastmonth.
We talked about a couple ofpeople that was faithful, and so
the next acronym is available.
Okay, we have to make sure thatwe are available.
The Bible says in Isaiah 6 and8, then I heard the voice of the

(11:25):
Lord saying whom shall I sendand who will go for us?
And I said here I am, send me.
Okay, we know that beingavailable means being ready,
basically, and willing to serveGod whenever he calls.
Okay, we have to make sure thatwe are open and available to
what God has called us to.
Okay, we have to make sure thatwe are open and available to

(11:46):
what God has called us to.
Okay, and so then the next oneis interdependent.
Okay, and the Bible says in 1Corinthians, 12 and 12,.
Just as a body, though, one hasmany parts, but all its many
parts form one body, so it iswith Christ.
Okay, we know that your faith, getting around the right

(12:10):
community, your faith can grow.
Okay, interdependence it meansrecognizing our needs for others
in the body of Christ andcontributing to the collective
growth of the church.
Okay, so meaning that we allneed each other.
We all need it, just like yourhand needs your feet you know

(12:32):
what I'm saying Like your wholebody, of course, your hand needs
your feet, and I know that.
I know y'all.
If y'all mind like mine, you'reprobably thinking, oh, what if
somebody ain't got no hand orwhatever?
I don't know why I was thinkingabout that, but it makes other
body parts have to do more, right?
So if you ain't got, if you'remissing a foot or whatever, and

(12:54):
it makes your other part have todo more.
So that's why we are needingeach other.
So nobody will work harder thanthe other, right?
Nobody will work harder thanthe other, right?
So, anyway, the next acronym isteachable.
And so the Bible says inProverbs 9 and 9, instruct the
wise, and they will be wiser.
Still, teach the righteous, andthey will add to their learning

(13:17):
.
You know, we have to have ateachable spirit because it is
very important for spiritualgrowth.
Okay, we have to have ateachable spirit, you have to.
It requires humility andwillingness to learn from God,
his word and others right.
So we have to be able to learnfrom each other.

(13:38):
If you ain't teachable, thenI've heard that if you ain't
learning, you dead right, because we learn something new
every day.
How many know we learnsomething new every day, child.
And so the last letter H ishunger.
And the Bible says in Matthew 5and 6, blessed are those who

(14:01):
hunger and thirst forrighteousness, for they will be
filled.
We know a deeper hunger for Goddrives us to seek him
passionately.
Okay, it fuels our desire togrow closer to him and to live
according to his will.
So we know that the more hungerwe have, the more we'll seek.

(14:21):
Right, you know and I don'tknow why I'm thinking about this
but, like, when people get real, real hungry, they're going to
want what they want, right?
You know some people I don'twant that.
You know what I'm saying.
But you have to have thathunger, you know.
I remember they used to say ifyou're hungry, you'll eat
anything, not necessarily.
Okay, if you're hungry, youwant the right thing, you want

(14:44):
something that'll, that'll,that'll get you.
But you got some people.
You, hungry, you'll eatanything.
Not, I said the cat, I ain'tgonna eat anything, not me.
So but anyways, today, what weare going to talk about is the A
.
Well, this month we are goingto be talking, we're going to

(15:07):
spend time talking aboutavailable and how we can be more
available when God calls us todoing the things.
You know, when God calls us tobeing to do things that he need
for us, we need to be in to dothings that he need for us.

(15:27):
We need to be more available.
And so the first person that Iwanted to start with, the first
person in the Bible that Iwanted to start with, I wanted
to.
Last time I went from a man toa woman.
To a young boy this one, I'mgoing from a young boy and I'm
going to go up.
Woman to a young boy this one,I'm going from a young boy and

(15:49):
I'm going to go up.
And so I want to talk aboutSamuel.
The lesson is here I am Lord, the call of Samuel.
So I am going to read 1 Samuel,3 and 1 through 10 out of the
ESV version, and then I'll divea little bit further in the
message.

(16:09):
So the Bible says, so I guessI'll give y'all a little quick
story.
Okay, we know that Hannah, shewanted a son, she wanted a baby.
So we know that Hannah was.
You know, if you know, well, you might not know the story and

(16:31):
I suggest that you go back andyou go read the story really
really well, ok, but we knowthat Hannah, which is Samuel's
mom, she had wanted a son reallybad, and when she was in there
praying they thought she wasdrunk and, you know, god opened

(16:51):
up her womb and gave her a sonand she dedicated him to God.
And so, as a young boy now she,I was looking this up boy, now
she, I was looking this up soshe took him.
After she nursed him, she tookhim back to Eli, which is the
prophet that she had promised, that she was going to dedicate

(17:13):
the son back to God.
And she took him back at theearly age of three, okay, and so
he, at this point he hadalready had some type of
training from Eli, ok, so I justtried to speed y'all up.
It's a little speed up, but it'snot, it's not as deep as it

(17:35):
could be.
But you, like I say every week,I encourage you, please go and
read these chapters thoroughly.
Please go and read thesechapters thoroughly, okay, and
you can find whatevertranslation that you can
understand, okay, um, I knoweverybody's been raised on the k
?
Kjv, but if you don'tunderstand it, you gotta be able

(17:58):
to cross reference, you gottabe able to look at different
translation.
Okay, that's free for somebody.
So, anyways, I am going to readnow.
So where we're picking up at iswhere Samuel was.
I think they said that when Iread it it said he was about 12

(18:21):
at this point.
So I'm going to read 1 Samuel 3, chapter 3, 1 through 10.
It says Now the boy Samuel wasministering to the Lord in the
presence of Eli, and the word ofthe Lord was rare in those days
.
There were no frequent visions,so a lot of people wasn't

(18:42):
getting visions at this time.
Okay, but Samuel, at the youngage of 12, was getting visuals,
I mean visions from God.
And so at verse two it said atthat time Eli, whose eyesight
had begun to grow dim so that hecould not see, was lying down

(19:05):
in his own place.
The lamp of God had not yetgone out and Samuel was lying
down in the temple of the Lordwhere the ark of God was.
Verse four says then the Lordcalled Samuel and he said here I
am.
And ran to Eli and said here Iam for you called me.

(19:26):
But he said I did not call you,lie down again.
So he went and lay down.
Now can you imagine him goingto him and being like you called
me?
Then you know, I can justimagine, because he's like, wait
a minute, I know I ain't goingcrazy, you called me.
So anyways.

(19:46):
Verse six says and the Lordcalled again Samuel.
And Samuel rose and went to Eliand said here, I am for you,
called me.
But he said I did not call myson, lay down again.
Verse seven says now Samuel didnot yet know the Lord and the

(20:06):
word of the Lord had not yetbeen revealed in him.
And verse eight says and theLord called Samuel again the
third time.
He rose and went to Eli andsaid here I am, for you called
me.
Then Eli perceived that theLord called Samuel again the
third time.
He rose and went to Eli andsaid here I am for you called me
.
The.
Eli perceived that the Lord wascalling the boy.
Therefore Eli said to Samuel golay, go lie down, and if he

(20:29):
calls you, you shall say speak, lord, for your servant hears.
So Samuel went and lay down inhis place.
Verse 10 says and the Lord cameand stood, call it, as at other
times, samuel, samuel.
And Samuel says speak, for yourservant hears.
Then the Lord said to Samuelbehold, I am about to do a thing

(20:53):
in Israel at which the two earsof everyone who hears it will
tingle, and I think I went toverse 11.
So, anyways, I mean, can youimagine if God actually called
you?
You don't know, you'd be likefuck me, you'd be like you know,

(21:15):
and so for him to go and belike, ok, what do you call me?
But here I am.
And so you know, we know Godcalls those who are willing.
You know, we have to know that, regardless of his age, his
experience or status, samuelavailability teaches us how to

(21:37):
respond to God's voice andembrace his plans, because
sometimes, like I say, we a lotof people and I've said this
before, and this shows righthere that you have to know the
voice of the Lord A lot ofpeople don't know the voice of
the Lord, and so if God iscalling you and you don't know

(21:59):
that that's his voice, it'll behard for you to listen, it'll be
hard for you to do anything, because you don't know that
that's the voice of the Lord.
And so that's one of the thingsthat I try to tell people.
In order for you to understandthat God is calling you, that
God has said I need you to dothis, I need you to do that, you

(22:20):
have to spend time with him toknow his voice.
See, at this age, samuel, hewas young, he was too young, he
didn't know the voice of theLord.
And it says it right there in.
Let's see what scripture it was.
It says it in um seven, verseseven.

(22:42):
Now, samuel did not know theLord and the word of the Lord
had not yet been revealed to him, so he didn't know his voice at
this time.
Now, granted, and he was, heknew how to minister, but he
didn't know his voice, andthat's important.
I don't know who this is for,but it's a lot of people out

(23:03):
here that are ministering butthey don't know the voice of the
Lord.
Okay, that's free right therefor y'all, but it's a lot of
people out here that are justdoing things in the name of the
Lord and don't even know hisvoice and don't obey his voice,
right?
And so we have to know that itis important to be available and

(23:31):
how we can position ourselvesto hear and obey God's voice,
and so we have to make sure thatwe are spending time right.
We are spending time, we arepraying, we are reading our word
, we are, you know, gettingaround, you know the like-minded
people.
We want to be able to know thatwe are meditating on the word of

(23:54):
God, where we can be able tohear if God has called you, okay
.
So the first point that I wantto talk about is being available
.
It requires listening, right.
You've got to be able to listen.
You have to be able to listento what God has called and said.
You have to be able torecognize his voice Right to

(24:17):
what God has called and said.
You have to be able torecognize his voice right.
We know Samuel.
He heard God's voice but didn'trecognize it.
Okay, at first he thought Eliwas calling him.
Despite the confusion, samuelremained attentive and
responsive.
So, even though sometimes we maynot know if God's for us, we
still have to remain attentiveand responsive, okay, and find

(24:42):
out whether this is God.
And the only and one of theways that you can find out if
it's God is by praying.
Okay, because sometimes we getwords and we get this and
somebody prophesies that you'regoing to win a hundred million
or something.
I don't know why I said thatMaybe God's going to give me an
amen.
Anyways, you get prophesiedthat you're going to win X

(25:05):
amount of dollars or you'regoing to do this, you're going
to do that, and we have to knowthat.
We have to be able to recognizeif this is my word, okay.
If this is my word, okay, youhave to go and you have to
position yourself to listen towhether God is telling you this.
Okay, we know that it is like itis so much in this world that

(25:27):
is going on, it's so manydistractions, you know, but we
got to be able to create spacefor God, so we want to be able
to hear his voice through ourprayers, through the scriptures,
through the stillness, themeditating.
Okay, I, um, let me, I get one,one of the ways that I hear and
, like I think I did a showbefore on um, my sheep knows my

(25:52):
voice and I was talking abouthow you know, sometimes we can
hear somebody saying mama, calling mama, and if we far, if
we too far, then we might thinkit's our child, right, but then
we, when we, the closer you getand you realize that that's not

(26:13):
your child, it's like, oh,that's not my child, okay,
because you know the voice ofyour child.
But the closer and the moretime you spend with God, that is
the only way that you're goingto be able to know what God's
voice.
That's the only way you'regoing to be able to hear.
You know what I'm saying.
That is the only way thatyou'll be able to say and be

(26:35):
sure about it right.
Because if you don't got yourcalling or your quickening, like
I talk about, you will say I'msure that God called me.
I am sure that God called me.
You know what I'm saying.
When God called me to thisplace, nobody can change my mind

(26:59):
about where I am.
I don't care what the situationis, because I'm sure that God
has called me right.
And so that's why we have to beable to reflect on our spiritual
listening habits.
We have to spend time praying.
We have to spend time eventhough he didn't know the voice
of the Lord.

(27:19):
He was ministering.
So he knew how to minister, heknew how to pray, he knew how to
read his word, he knew how todo this.
Those are the spiritual likePetey passed a day saying you
ain't got to be in the spiritualgym.
Those are the ones that youhave to be doing.
You have to be strong enough toknow when God is calling you.

(27:43):
Okay, and I know, sometimes Ilike I know that life be life
and don't get me wrong, I ain'tsit up here saying that it's
easy, said and done, cause I'mnot.
I'm trust me.
So when I get a word from God,I have to be like, okay, god, is

(28:05):
this you?
And then I get my confirmationby praying.
I get my confirmation bylistening to a sermon, somebody
speaking the same thing that Godhas told me, and it's like, oh,
okay, that's what I'm supposedto be doing.
It's a rhema word that you canget right from someone, a rhema
word that you can get right fromfrom someone.
Okay, so we have to make surethat we are intentional about
listening to God's voice in ourdaily lives.
Okay, that is.

(28:25):
That is the first point, and thesecond one is being available
requires obedience.
We don't like that word.
I remember going to a wedding.
The lady was like take thatobedience.
No, we don't want to.
A lot of people don't like tohear obedience, because we know
a lot of people have said, oh,you know, obedience is better

(28:48):
than sacrifice.
I know y'all have heard thatover and over and over again,
obedience is better thansacrifice.
But we have to know that wehave to be obedient.
You know, after beinginstructed by Eli, samuel obeyed
and responded to God with speak, for your servant is listening.

(29:10):
Obedience was key to Samuelstepping into his prophetic role
.
Okay, so we have to know thatwe got to be obedient.
Right, we can sit up here andtalk about this and talk about
that and say we're going to dothis and do that.
And I heard and it's so crazybecause I was talking to
somebody just today we weresaying that half obedient is

(29:36):
still disobedience.
Right, you got some peoplethat'll do something and say,
well, I did something.
I don't know why I go to thatpoint, I did do something, but
that is still disobedience.
Okay, half obedience is stilldisobedient.
So what if Samuel had to sayokay, god speak, you know, and

(30:03):
not the rest?
I don't know, I'm just saying,but we have to know that it's
not enough to just hear God'svoice, we must also act on it.
Obedience, even when we feelunsure or unqualified, is very
essential, very important.
We have to make sure that weare being obedient because

(30:25):
sometimes a lot of people willonly be obedient when they got a
full understanding.
Let me tell y'all faith.
You have to be able to move, even when you don't have a full
understanding.
Okay, you have to be able tosay, oh, I'm going to do it
because God said do it.

(30:46):
It ain't no ifs, ands and butsabout it, because we can sit up
here and we can talk about beingfaithful and talking about
being available and talkingabout, you know, being
interdependent and all thatstuff.
But you still have to sometimesmove without understanding,
without getting a fullunderstanding.

(31:08):
Okay, god often sends us thetrailer.
He often, like Pastor Davis hadsaid before, that God give us
this movie trailer and we don'tknow the middle part.
We just know the end.
Right, we know that it's goingto end up good.
So we have to be able to lookbeyond.
Okay, what is going?

(31:30):
So you have to move in thatobedience, whether you
understand or not, whether youare unsure or not.
Right, you know we have toreflect on areas where we've
heard God's direction but maybehesitate to obey.
Like what are you hesitating toobey God for right?
That's one thing that we needto be working on because we

(31:55):
don't want to be half obedient, right, and of course I go to my
children all the time becausethey my children.
Anyways, I can use them, right,so I can tell them to do
something.
And I'll just say, tonight wewas talking about the dishes and

(32:19):
loading the dishwasher.
And I'll just say, tonight wewas talking about the dishes and
, you know, loading thedishwasher, you have to make
sure that you rinse the dishesand you have to do this and I'll
do that.
And I have been thinking thatthe make sure you are washing
the dishes or rinsing them offbefore you put them in the

(32:40):
dishwasher, because they're notgoing to get clean enough.
So I'm thinking that thedishwasher is messed up.
I found out tonight that one ofmy children was just not
washing the dishes, she just putthem in there and stacking them
in there.
And I'm like, no, ok, so we haveto be obedient in order to get

(33:00):
things right, because if you'renot obedient, then guess what?
It's not going to be, it's notgoing to come out the way God
wanted it to be.
Just like the children ofIsrael, they, they, they 11 day
journey.
They walked around for 40 years.
They had to put all those extrayears on something that they
could have been done with RightBecause they was not obedient to

(33:23):
God's word.
Ok, so we have to know that wehave to be obedient even in
those times where we don'tunderstand.
Those times when we don'tunderstand, okay, we have to
know that we cannot be held backright From being immediate
obedient to God's call.

(33:43):
You know, we know that it'sobstacles, we know that it's
trials, we know that it's goingto be tribulation, but we have
to know that if God called us toit, he's going to take us
through it.
Right, and I know that's not acliche, because I know a lot of
people are like girl, that's socliche, but it's true, it is so
true, all right.

(34:07):
So, anyways, we have to makesure that we are being obedient,
okay.
And so the last point is beingavailable means trusting God's
plan.
Oh, that right there in itselfis a lot, because that word
trusting right we have to beable to know.

(34:30):
So Samuel availability openedthe door for God to speak
clearly and entrust him with asignificant prophetic role.
Even though he was young andinexperienced, he trusted God,
he trusted God's plan, and wehave to know that trusting God's
plans often requires usstepping out in faith, even when

(34:54):
we don't fully understandwhat's ahead.
God's strength compensates forour weakness, okay, so we know
that we can trust the Lord andlean not to our own
understanding, because we knowthat God is with us right, and I
know that a lot of people havehad trust issues or whatever.

(35:19):
You know they want to be incontrol of everything.
You know what I'm saying.
You want to see how it's goingto go from the root of the
situation.
You want to be able to have thesay-so of everything.
But when you're being availableto God, you have to trust his
plan.
You have to trust the process.

(35:39):
You have to trust that God willequip you for the task that he
has called you.
You know what I'm saying.
He ain't going to send you outthere and you ain't going to
have what you need.
You know God is going to alwaysdo that and that's you know.
And, like I say, it's almostlike I don't know why it's
coming to my head, but it's likewith us, with our children,

(36:01):
when they getting ready to go toschool.
You ain't going to send them toschool without what they need
Most of that stuff, most ofthose lists, the school lists.
They be like oh, you need this.
You need some hand sanitizer, you need this, you, you need
that, and, as parents that don'thave multiple children, you'll
be like you don't need all ofthat.

(36:22):
You know what I'm saying?
I'm gonna send you with whatyou need, and that's how God is,
because sometimes we think thatit take a whole lot, we think
that it takes so much.
You know some I know I talkedto a few people.
They be like well, I'm justtrying to get myself together.
If you get yourself together, then how God going to be able to
help you, right, you know.

(36:44):
So we have to make sure that weare not worrying about the
equipment that God is going togive us, that we can just go and
trust his plan, because we knowthat he is going to give us
what we need.
You know not all the time whatwe want.
Some people think they need, they need the biggest house.
I need to be seen, I need to be, I need to be in the front, I

(37:07):
need to do this, I need to dothat, and that's not what God is
calling you for.
He needs your voice, becauseit's somebody that is waiting on
your voice in order for them tomove, in order for them to do
what they need, to know that wegot to trust God's plan,
regardless of how it looks, regardless of.

(37:29):
You know what the task may be,we thinking that we need this
and you don't.
You know we have to give.
Have that confidence, even whenwe feel unqualified or
overwhelmed, are overwhelmed andwhen I say overwhelmed I am

(37:52):
talking about when you feeltired in your spirit and tired
in your soul.
We know that the Bible say donot faint, okay, even in
well-doing.
You know we have to make surethat we are doing everything to
be available for God.
You know, you know what I'msaying and we have to just take

(38:13):
some time to just focus on whatGod has called us to and saying
here I am Okay.
One of the scriptures that Iwant you to remember is 1 Samuel
, 3 and 10.
Speak, for your servant islistening.
And if you can say, speak foryour servant is listening, and

(38:35):
know that you can do what Godhas called you to do and know
that it's going to be availablewhen God needs us, available
because we know that we can getup when God tells us to do
something, I know I'm one of theones and I know if she was on

(38:57):
here, elder Harvick would tellyou, if God called me and told
me to do something, I'm like, okay, god, all right, and I get
right to it, especially if Iprayed about it and got that
confirmation and the thing aboutit.
If God tell me, because I knowhis voice, I spend a lot of time
with him, it don't take me longbecause I know that that's what

(39:19):
God is, god is saying to do.
I have to know that I canfollow his word and I'm telling
you this because it it can bedone.
Okay, I was, I was, I felt likeI was the biggest
procrastinator in the world, like I feel like I could get a
war for that job.
You know what I'm saying.
But for me now to be here anddoing what God has called me to

(39:45):
do, whether whether it's perfector not, you know, I'm telling
and I don't know why I'm goingthis way.
But I'm looking and I've beenlooking at my book and I see
errors and I'm like, oh my God,and it was bothering me.
And it's like, no, god didn'tnever said that he wanted it
perfect.
Ok, he wanted it done and thatis the main thing.

(40:09):
We can't worry about perfection, we have to worry about doing
it when God asks us to do it.
Righteousness over right.
I think I can't remember whosaid that.
I heard, I think I heard mybrother in law say that
Righteousness over right.
Okay, and so that is what we'redoing.
We want to make sure that weare available when God calls us

(40:33):
and not when we feel likegetting up and doing it.
Right, okay, so, anyways, thatis, that is it for tonight.
I know y'all probably, likegirl, I'm tired of hearing your
voice.
No, I'm excited.
Thank you for whoever is onhere I can't see it, but thank

(40:55):
you for whoever is tuning intonight.
Everything that I have said willnot take effect okay, I say
this every week will not takeeffect.
Okay, I say this every week.
It will not take effect if youdo not give your life to Christ.
Okay, if you do not go to theone that can help you be
available in those times, thatcan help you be able to hear

(41:19):
God's word, that can help you tobe able to know God's voice and
recognize his revelation andwhat he wants you to do.
Okay, so all you have to do isask A-C-T-S.
You can acknowledge that youare a sinner, you can confess
with your mouth and believe withyour heart that Jesus Christ

(41:39):
died on the cross.
You can turn from your ways.
They might not be evil, butthey ain't pleasing, okay.
You can turn from those waysand repent, okay.
And then you can seek after aBible-based church.
You can seek after his face, okay, and make sure that you get

(42:00):
around like-minded people, okay.
Get around people that you knowyou are trying to go with.
Okay, where you're trying to go, they are there.
You want to get around thosepeople and get you in a good
community, okay.
So, anyways, I thank you allagain for tuning in.

(42:22):
I tell you that God is so good.
I tell you that God is so good.
He is so good, he is so good, and I'm going to say a quick
prayer and then I will let yougo.
All right, dear Heavenly Father, I come to you, god, I say
thank you for this word.
God, I thank you, and I knowthat it didn't fall on a stony

(42:45):
ground.

where I can give it to yourpeople, god, and so I thank you
now for allowing me to be ableto speak your word.

done.
God, allow them to be able tosay yes when you call them God.

so they can recognize that youare calling them.
