What does success look like when it's ordained by God rather than defined by the world? Donald Lea's journey provides a breathtaking answer to this question, taking us from the depths of homelessness to the heights of purpose-driven achievement.

In this raw and revelatory conversation, Donald shares how he found himself sleeping in a homeless shelter with six other men after a series of poor choices led to separation from his family. It was in this rock-bottom moment that God spoke to him through a dream, offering complete restoration with one condition: total surrender. "This time you can't play with me," God told him. "I need all of you."

The transformation didn't happen overnight, but within three years, Donald experienced remarkable restoration. He developed what he calls the "hope, power, and truth blueprint for success," beginning with the crucial step of facing reality. "A lot of folks want to be real," Donald explains, "but they don't want to face their reality." This powerful principle became the foundation for rebuilding his life on God's terms.

Perhaps most compelling is Donald's testimony of leaving comfort behind when God calls. After securing what seemed like his dream job—complete with a six-figure salary and company car—God instructed him to move from South Carolina to Georgia. With remarkable faith, Donald and his wife left behind their 3,000-square-foot home, established careers, and familiar community to follow divine guidance to an unknown future. The result? A new position with even better compensation and opportunities aligned with his purpose.

Donald's story isn't just about personal success—it's about redefining what success means through spiritual alignment. Whether you're at a crossroads, hitting rock bottom, or simply seeking deeper purpose, this conversation will inspire you to surrender completely to God's plan rather than pursuing your own agenda. Listen now and discover how divine purpose can transform even your most devastating circumstances into stepping stones toward destiny.

I couldn't, I know I couldn't dothat.
I'm gonna I'm gonna just behonest because I well, I only

I'm like, wait a minute, hehadn't on a whole bunch.
I love it, I love it.
I'm I'm I'm super excited umthat you are here because you

(08:01):
have a lot to be able to letpeople know how they have been,
um, how you've been cued forChrist.
And so I am going to go ahead onand say a quick prayer, and then
we'll go, we'll dive right oninto it.
How you have been cued.
Now, I look like I told youearlier, I'm gonna let you come
in your own way.
So I don't know which one youwant to talk about, how you got

I'm gonna say a quick prayer,okay.
All right, dear Heavenly Father,God, I say thank you.
I say thank you for this momentbecause you knew this moment
before we did, and so we saythank you, God, for allowing us
to be here, God, to sharestories, God.
God, we just thank you nowbecause we know that you are the

(08:45):
author and the finisher of ourfaith.

(09:52):
It's in Jesus' name that I pray,Amen.

SPEAKER_01 (09:55):
Amen, amen, amen.

SPEAKER_02 (09:58):
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Let me not get started.
Thank you.
Don't start now, I won't benone, right?
Uh so, anyways, anyways, um, I'mI'm super excited, like I said,
for you to be here.
And for those that, you know, this may be your first time when
I talk about cue for Christ, wetalk about being quick and

(10:21):
united, educated, understanding, excited, and determined for what
Christ has for you.
And I know that Mr.
Dunn Dunn Lee has something, andyou know, to be able to let us
know.
So when you um were a child andwe'll stop there, like what did
you have in mind that you may bedoing or you know, that you

(10:44):
thought about doing fromchildhood?
What was your childhood like?

SPEAKER_01 (10:48):
Wow, that is so that's a great question.
So growing up, I always wantedto be a lawyer, but I did not
have the grades, and we didn't,and my family didn't have the
money to send me to school to umfor that type of education.
But nevertheless, um, I wouldsay I was always involved in

(11:09):
something as a child when itwhen it involved ministry.
And man, I'll say when I wasinvolved with it, I felt good
doing it, and I was always thatkid who was peculiar when I hung
out with people that may havebeen doing some other things,
you know what I'm saying?

(11:29):
And I might have been a part ofit too.

SPEAKER_03 (11:31):
Let's just keep it a real, let's keep it a hundred,
let's keep it a hundred.

SPEAKER_02 (11:48):
Amen.

SPEAKER_01 (11:49):
And never allowed me to sabotage me.

SPEAKER_02 (11:53):
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (11:53):
I I need somebody to hear that.
So a lot of you have been insituations, you've been in
circumstances that you couldhave jeopardized everything.

SPEAKER_02 (12:06):
Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01 (12:08):
I mean, I know I have passed the statute of
limitation on a few things, butI'm gonna just keep it 100 if I
can say I was on the verge ofsabotaging Donald Right 20, 30
years ago, and I had no clue.
Amen.

(12:29):
But God kept me and He coveredme through the mess, he kept me,
He covered me through myignorance, he kept me, He
covered me, He protected me.
Come on, somebody, even throughthings seen, yeah, unseen.

SPEAKER_02 (12:52):
Right, right, right, oh my god, oh my goodness.
That's so that's so good.
That's so the thing about it,he'll keep you when you don't
want to be kept, you know what Imean?

SPEAKER_01 (13:07):
So you you your cue stands for quickening.
You start off by saying, Well, how was I awakened, or how was
my calling awakened?
It was always there, but Ialways wanted something else.
Did you catch what I so eventhough the calling was there, I
hope we get through the wholething because I'm just the see

(13:29):
the calling was always there, but I didn't see it because I
didn't know who I was.
Until I hit rock bottom.

SPEAKER_02 (13:47):
Wow, oh my god, wow, that you know, man, and that's
the thing, a lot of people don'tunderstand that sometimes that's
what it takes to find out whoyou are once you hit rock
bottom.

SPEAKER_01 (14:09):
So, yes, rock bottom was the best place for me.
It was the best place.
So 2004, 2005, somewhere aroundthat time, I'm gonna just I'm
gonna take you back to a placebefore the credit score was 800,

(14:34):
before I had a few dollars inthe bank, before we owned
several properties.
I was in a homeless shelter, sleeping in a room with six
other men.
Wow because I made bad decisionsalong the way.
Wow.
I had two children, was goingthrough a separation, divorce,

(14:58):
you you invited me, you want thewhole story.
Just found out that I had aanother young lady pregnant.
Wow.
That wasn't my wife.
Wow.
I was rock bottom in a homelessshelter.
Wow.

(15:20):
I had a dream one night, and andand I remember God saying, You
messed up.
He showed me.
He said, but I'll give youeverything back if you trust me.
He said, but this time you can'tplay with me.

(15:43):
This time, you got to come to methe the I need all of you this
time, right?
He said, I don't need the partof you that want to be in the
street, I don't need the part ofyou that just wanna wanna play
on Friday and Saturday and thencome on Sunday.

(16:04):
He said, I need all he said, because what I want to do
through your life is soimpactful.
Yes, and I didn't know it then.
Because I'm in a homelessshelter.
I'm like, Lord, what are youwhat are you doing?
Everybody turned their back onme.
My family, like, just come home.

(16:26):
My pride wouldn't let me comehome.
Right.
But within three years, herestored everything that I lost
in that season.
Three years.
Within three.
So fast forward to what Ioperate in now is the hope,

(16:51):
power, and truth blueprint forsuccess.
Right.
So, and I'm gonna tell, like, there are eight steps to this
blueprint, but I'm not gonnagive you all eight tonight.
I'm gonna give you three.
The first step, here's thething.
No, I'm gonna skip the firststep.
I'm gonna skip the first step.
Because see, the first step is alittle fluff.

(17:12):
Let's just keep it real.
I'm gonna I'm gonna go to themeat and potatoes of the of the
blueprint.
The first step is the meat andpotatoes is you gotta face your
reality.
Oh my god.
See, see, that's that's down inlike step number six.
See, see, a lot of folks want tobe real, but they don't want to

(17:37):
face their reality.
Okay, right.
Okay, okay.
They talking about they want acar, they want the clothes, they
want the crib, but they got a500 credit score.
I ain't trying to do nothing tofix it.
I'm just talking, I've beenthere, I've done that.
I filed bankruptcy twice.
I know what it's like to haveseveral cars re I know what it's
like to go to the dealership andand and wanna wanna want a

(18:00):
Yukon, but really gonna roll offthe lot with a a cobalt.

SPEAKER_02 (18:05):
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (18:06):
You gotta face reality, and somebody watching
tonight, right?
We we we got like less than ahundred days left in 2025.
I'm gonna give you something forfree.
You gotta face the realitywherever you at.
Right.
I'm talking to the person inCalifornia, I'm talking to the

(18:26):
person in Texas, I'm talking tothe person in Georgia, Virginia,
South Carolina, wherever you at.
I'm encouraging you to facereality and do it now.

SPEAKER_02 (18:40):
Do it now.
Now is the time.

SPEAKER_01 (18:44):
But but see, before you face reality, Kiana, I
skipped the step, but you got toget a hold of yourself.
See when I was shucking andducking and and and conniving
and being a manipulator andlying and doing all these
things.
See, it ain't no fun when youlied, you didn't cheated, you've

(19:10):
been conniving, all thesethings, and it catches up with
you.
Right, right.
What is your reality?
You know, I have a dear brotherthat's watching tonight, and I
seen him comment, dear brother, dear brother.
I've known this brother aboutfour years.
He's in the Napa Valley,California area.
Okay, he says, Donald, his nameis Derek White.

(19:31):
Shout out to the Faith family.
He says, Donald, you got to geta hold of yourself.
Yes, wow, wow, until you allowsomebody to check you like that,
Kiana.
Yes, some folks just want toplay, they want to come to

(19:53):
church, they want you to laytheir your hand on them for a
few minutes, they want you toshine them for a few minutes,
they want you to coddle them.
But until you face reality andget a hold of yourself, ain't
nothing gonna change.

SPEAKER_02 (20:07):
Right, right.
That that is so true.

SPEAKER_01 (20:10):
And then before we move on, I want to say this
part.
I had to acknowledge, and thenwe're gonna get to the
transition that I deservebetter.

SPEAKER_02 (20:22):
Did you hear what I said?
Come on, a lot of people don'teven know that they deserve
better.

SPEAKER_01 (20:31):
I deserve better, right?
And I remember a time whensomebody told me, Oh, you will
never find nobody else.
Nobody else is gonna ever loveyou like me.
You're never going to haveanything because we allow people
to get in our head and tell usthings that we don't understand,

(20:55):
but you got to acknowledge thatyou deserve.
I look at the young men, I lookat the young ladies, beautiful
young ladies, handsome youngmen, just giving themselves
away.
I'm not just talking physically,I'm talking emotionally, I'm
talking spiritually, justdraining and giving themselves
away because they haven'tacknowledged that I deserve.

(21:16):
I got one daughter, three sons, and I used to tell my daughter
all the time, you are the prize.
Yes, yes, I acknowledge youdeserve better.
I'm not trying to take over yourpodcast.

SPEAKER_02 (21:32):
What did I tell you earlier?
You coming in your own waybecause I know you got something
to say to people.
I'm okay, I'm listening.

SPEAKER_01 (21:40):
So we talked about the cue, we talked about the
cue, how I was awake and nowlet's get to the you.
Who did I unite with along theway?
Who did I unite with?
I united with people withpurpose.

SPEAKER_02 (21:56):
Yes, okay.

SPEAKER_01 (21:57):
See, this might get me in trouble because I know we
got some spectators that'swatching tonight.
I got tired of dealing withfolks that only wanted Donald's
gift but didn't want Donald.

SPEAKER_02 (22:12):
Well, you're gonna make me shout.

SPEAKER_01 (22:15):
Sick and tired of dealing with folks that wanted
to give, that wanted me to be apart of their association, be a
part of what they had to offer, but did not value or want me.
So I connected with somelike-minded people.
I joined Made Men in 2023, whichis a program our church have for

(22:41):
males.
I was in the second cohort.
Oh my god, it changed my life.
We talk about a thousandbrothers, a thousand plus
brothers, a thousand brothers, with it is from all over the
United States, right?
All over all over the globe.
I even went back into theprogram for a third year.

(23:02):
I'm like, a second year, whichwas cohort three.
I'm like, man, I need thisagain.
I went through it a third timebecause it's so much content to
where I needed to level upbecause every time you go
through something like that, yougotta be able to look at
yourself in the mirror and belike, what am I doing?
Right, right.

(23:24):
Okay, we talked about theUnited, which is the you.
Now you want to talk about thee.
See, this is where people getcaught up at is the education.
Yes, everybody think you gottahave all this.
I'm not against education.
I came through the back door,Keanu.

(23:47):
I finished high school barely,okay?
But around three years ago, Godwas like, Okay, son, college
didn't work for you.
You didn't do the college thing, you barely finish high school,
you need some skills, some softskills under your belt.

(24:08):
Right, that's when I invested inmyself.
I met people like PastorSamantha Carter, who's on this
call.
I met people again like PastorDerek White through an
organization, John Maxwell.
We are one of 50,000 certifiedcoaches, speakers, and trainers.

(24:30):
We went through that program, weinvested several thousand of
dollars, not no 10, 20 now.
It won't know, go through ourprogram for six weeks and get a
certificate.
We all invested several thousandof dollars to boss up.
So I'm gonna ask somebody that'swatching, how bad do you want

(24:51):
it?
Asking me what's the secretsauce, and you ain't willing to
invest in yourself.
I love it.
Oh my goodness.
Now I don't mind helpinganybody, and I'll do anything
for you.
But my question is now, would doyou have what skin do you have
in the game?
If you ain't got no skin in thegame, don't call my number.

(25:13):
And my number, I've had the sameone for 19 years.
You know, I ain't one of theseguys that make it and switch it
up, so it's the same number, butdon't call my number if you
ain't willing to put no skin inthe game because it's gonna cost
you something.

SPEAKER_02 (25:26):
Ooh, Chad, that that is so good.

SPEAKER_01 (25:31):
Now, your framework now, we're talking about you,
the understanding.
What was it like when you gainfull understanding of your
calling?
Let's keep it real.
Do we ever get fullunderstanding of our calling?
It's a continuous ebbing flow,right?
Just when we think we arrive,God said, Up, it's time to level

(25:52):
up again.
So let's talk about thetransition.
So, yes, yes, remarried, met mybeautiful wife in 2006, moved to
a beautiful city called RockHill, South Carolina from
Virginia.
Spent the first 22 years of mylife, don't try to do the math,
the next 18 years in SouthCarolina.

(26:15):
Yeah, I know, I know.
45, 45.
So in 2022, I'm at a conference, just got the job of my dreams.
Company car, nice salary.
That's right, Tavares.

(26:36):
It costs something, it called itdefinitely cost.
And God said, Don't getcomfortable.
We were at the InternationalLeadership Conference hosted by
TD Jakes 2022.
Ironically, Darius Daniels, mypastor, now opened up that
night.
I just interviewed with a job.
They sent me back an email withan offer during the conference.

(26:59):
Wow.
Holy Spirit said, Don't getcomfortable.
You're not even gonna be herelong enough.
I'm like, God, what you mean?
God, what you mean?
I finally made it.
Six-figure job, company car.
He said, Don't get comfortable.

(27:21):
I started that job a week, maybetwo weeks later.
Nothing went right from day one.

SPEAKER_02 (27:29):
Wow.

SPEAKER_01 (27:31):
Because God had other plans.

SPEAKER_02 (27:33):
Right, right.

SPEAKER_01 (27:36):
So eight months into the role, he said, Are you gonna
trust me?
All right, I don't advise nobodyto do this.
He said, I want you to leavethat job.
So what you mean leave the job?
He said, I want you to leave thejob.
I left the job, y'all.

(27:58):
I'm unemployed for almostanother seven months.
I'm telling my wife, baby, we wesupposed to move, baby.
We're supposed to move.
She likes God told you to move.
He ain't tell me to move.
So now is the vision.
Let's just keep it real.
Right, right.
She comes back October 2023.
She says, I went to thisconference this weekend.

(28:23):
This is a year later from theoriginal conference that God
spoke to me.
She said I was disobedient.
Wow.
She said, I don't think it'sTexas, but we are going to move.
She said, Go back to God andhear from him and let him tell
you where we're going.

(28:43):
Fast forward to that April.
I come down to a maletransformation lab sponsored by
Change Church Made Men, and PD,all he talked about was being
able to make a decision.
He was talking to the men, about300 men.
My brother Calvin Davis, who'son this line tonight, he was in

(29:04):
the room with me, sitting besideme.
Right.
What's wrong with you?
You just not yourself.
On my way back home, I falledout crying.
Oh my goodness.
And he said, If you trust me,Donald, and move here, I'm gonna
change your life.
That was April.
I went back home, told my wife,I said, We move and she was in

(29:26):
the thick of tax season.
Season, she does taxes, so it'sthe middle of April.
So we we had four months aftertax season.
That was April the 20th.
We were officially living hereAugust the 30th.
Now, mind you, mind you, we lefta 3,000 square foot home.

(29:49):
We left careers, we left so manythings to come to an unknown
place on faith.
We left stability, we left.
The comfort of our home.
We left the comfort offamiliality.
We left the comfort of people.
But we left because there waspurpose calling us.

(30:13):
And it was no longer in SouthCarolina.
It was here in Georgia.

SPEAKER_02 (30:17):
Right.
Right.
Oh my goodness.
I'm sitting here listening tothis.
And it's like that's thosestories when I talk to people,
you know, that has come tochange.
And I'm one of them ones whereGod said, Do you trust me?
And I quit my job.
And I said, and I had just got aradio station.

(30:38):
And I was getting ready to, Iwas like, okay, God, you want me
to move?
Well, you want me to move toserve and change when I'm like,
I'm okay here.
And that is that that's why I'msitting here, like, oh my God.
God just he the way he doesthings, especially with the
understanding, like like we'retalking about.
We not we may not understand it,you know what I'm saying?

(31:01):
But we see how it worked for us,right?
You know, that stepping out onfaith, that you know, the faith
that most people talk about, butthey are scared to do, right?
Let's be real, let's be honest.
People talk about faith, butthey do not exercise that faith
at all when it comes tosomething.
They want to be realistic,right?

SPEAKER_01 (31:23):
That part.
So when he told Abram to leave,he said, Go, I'll show you.
Right.
He said, Go.
And people use that scripturewhen they want to make you
happy, but he said, Go, I'llshow you.
And he said, Once you get there, those who bless you, I'm gonna
bless.
Now, check this out.
And I'm not trying to havenobody in my pocket in my

(31:45):
business, but I left without ajob.
I'm not advising anybody to dothat, right?
Right.
But I was sure I told my wifewhen we got here, I I'm getting
half, I said, baby, I'll have ajob in 30 days because I knew
I'll go get a job at a I'll geta job, right?

unknown (32:03):
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (32:04):
But here's what he did.
Because I trusted him, I got ajob making more money than the
job that I walked off of that Ithought I was losing something.
And it's not about money.
Listen, don't call me for noloan because I ain't got it.
But my point is, listen, here'swhat I'm saying, I'm keeping it
100.
I'm keeping it 100 because Ifully submitted and surrendered,

(32:26):
right?
Right, I fully surrendered andsome and submitted to the
process.
We we had see see everybodywants your promise, but nobody
wants your process.
See, your promise is here,right?
But your process is like this.

(32:49):
See, your process is oh my god,the bills do, the marriage is
crazy, kids acting fool.
See, in the midst of that, there's also tension, right?
That people don't understand.
People see the beautifulpictures, they like, oh, you and
your wife so perfect, but youdon't know the hell that we have

(33:09):
to go through to make thingswork, right?
We raised four children, ablended family.
They're 24, 24, 23, and 19.
Wow since the age of five, four, and a newborn.
Wow, nobody don't knowChristmases, birthdays, drama

(33:32):
with different people.
You know what I'm saying?
I know exactly what you'retalking about.
Let's get to the E.
Excited.
How excited am I now doing whatI do?
Now let me let me give you thethe podcast, but let me give you
the real answer.
The podcast answer is I'mexcited all the time.

(33:54):
Right.
The the real answer is there aredays I'm like, Lord, what am I
doing?
Okay, people say, Donald, yourenergy is so contagious.
I had somebody Sunday, theysays, wait a minute, you off a
little bit.
So when because when when peopleare used to seeing you always in
a zone, I said, No, I'm good.

(34:15):
I said, just you know, I had along weekend, you know, we had
the couples' conference, somelong days, some long nights.
I said, but I'm good.
They said, I'm just checking onyou.
I'm naturally happy, but theenemy tries to rob me of that
because I have been in a placewhere I wanted to please people
for 45 years of my life.

SPEAKER_02 (34:38):
Oh my god, I'm telling you, that people
pleasing is so real, and youknow how PD talks about that.

SPEAKER_01 (34:48):
So I called one of my partners this morning.
I said, Man, I'm getting on thispodcast tonight, man.
I, you know, I ain't did thisthing in about a year, you know.
Man, it was a time where I wason a podcast every other week.
You know, he said, Donald, do mea favor.
He said, D Lee, do me a favor.
That's this is my guy.
He can call me at any time, hecan check me because you gotta

(35:09):
let people check you.
Right.
He said, get on there and beyourself and watch God get the
glory.
Right.
My prayer before I logged on wasGod, I don't want to perform and
I don't want to people please.

SPEAKER_02 (35:23):
Right, right.
That is so good.

SPEAKER_01 (35:27):
And then your D is determined.
So we talked about quickened, united, educated, understanding,
excited, now determined.
Right.
I'm determined now more.
What do you do to staydetermined and keep pushing
forward?
Number one, I trust God.

(35:48):
Number two, I surround myselfwith people that want to see me
grow.
Right.
And number three, I'm in aseason that I know what I want
now.
You can't trick me with thethings that you used to trick me
with 20 years ago.
Man, I'm not perfect by nomeans, but I know what I want

(36:13):
now, and I know it costs morenow than it did 20 years ago.
Right.
You take that for what it'sworth.
The cost is more now at 45 thanit was when I was 25.
Woo! And I'm not just talkingabout my wife taking 50 either.
I'm talking about it's gonnacost me more to battle back now

(36:35):
at 45 than it did at 20%.
So now I'm using wisdom more.

SPEAKER_02 (36:39):
Right, right.
That is so good.
That is so good.
I mean, you know, wisdom is mything is if you're doing the
same thing that you were doing20 years ago, something is
wrong, right?
And I and I'm not saying that, you know, I'm not trying to be
ugly about you know, to nobody, but I'm saying if you're doing

(37:00):
the same thing and getting thesame results, but hoping for a
different result, that is thethat is the definition of
insane.
So you want to make sure thatyou're trying to get to a
different level by changing upthe way that you've done always
done things, and that is wisdom101, you know, is the is to
change up things because of youknow, and I think I think that

(37:24):
most people could grab a hold tothat because of the simple fact
that you know now we see how youwere back then to now how you
are now.
So one of the things that Iwanted to ask you, and I'm so
thankful that you went throughthe questions by yourself.
I I love that.

(37:46):
I didn't have to interrupt youand ask you.
I love that.
I'm so thankful.
But no, one thing that I wantedto ask like if you you know had
something that you would tellyour 18-year-old self, um, that
you could tell them now, whatyou know, what would you tell
them?
What advice would you give your18-year-old self um now?

SPEAKER_01 (38:11):
Honestly, I would say everything that glitter
ain't gold.

unknown (38:16):
Wow.

SPEAKER_01 (38:17):
See, and this is for somebody that's even not 18
anymore.
We like shiny objects, right?
And it don't take much forsomebody to call you on the
phone or send you a message andwave that shiny object in your
face, right?

(38:38):
You have to be mature enough tounderstand did God send that
shiny object or did Satan sendthat shiny object?
Because here's what I understandSatan knows what you like just
as good as God knows what youlike.

(38:59):
So there's been some things thatI've been praying for in secret,
and folks have been sending memessages hey, do it this way, do
it that way, but I'm at astandstill because God hadn't
released me to go that routeyet.
Right, that's the shiny object,my dear friend Linda.

(39:31):
All good ain't God.
All good ain't God.
That's my dear friend.
She's actually a businesspartner of mine.
Okay, me, her, and a brothernamed Troy Wigfall.
We have a real estate companycalled Kinghaven Capital, and we
are moving at a slower rate thansome of these other real estate

(39:55):
developers because we want to doit right.
Right.
Oh, we can get into some deals.
Anybody can get into a deal, butwe want it to be done the right
way, and we want it to be donethird way, the king's way, not
coaches' way, not church's way.
We want it to be done because Idon't want to I want to be able
to sleep when I get off thistonight.

(40:15):
I want to be able to sleep goodat night.

SPEAKER_02 (40:17):
Amen.
Amen.
That is so true.
That is so true.
Lily, you know, we talk aboutthat.
The king's way is the the bestway, anyways, right?
And one thing that I havelearned, and one thing that I do

(40:40):
is I make God moves.
I'm not making, I'm not makingjust good moves, I'm making God
moves.
And and that is that is sodifferent in these days and
times because a lot of people, they you know, especially with
social media, right?
You can see everything and say,Oh, I want to look like them and

(41:00):
I want to be like them.
I want my podcast to move liketheir podcast or whatever.
And I had to tell one ladytoday, I don't, I don't go by
numbers, you know what I'msaying?
I don't I don't care about that.
When I started podcasting, Istarted because God gave me God
gave me all of this, and andit's a God move and not just a

(41:23):
good move when I decided to doeverything, right?
And we have to make sure that weare not um, you know, looking at
the glitter, not looking at, youknow, because half of this stuff
on social media ain't even real,y'all.

SPEAKER_01 (41:41):
So let me, I know we're gonna close shortly, but I
want to say this.
And I did a video and I postedit today, and I'm usually like a
day behind on differentplatforms, but you got your
spectator, you got yourimitator, and you got a
participator.
I'm not gonna get into thespectator and the imitator, but

(42:03):
I am gonna say this I'm in aseason of my life.
If you ain't participating, forget just here's the thing we
need participators in our life, but here's the thing, and I want
to I want to give somebody amajor key if you don't take
nothing else from these 42minutes.
In order to get a participatorin your life, you must be

(42:26):
willing to be a participatoryourself.
So I'm an ordained minister, butI can't go to church and trying
to preach on Sunday.
My job is to serve rightwherever I fit in at.
And let me say this I've servedin spaces and places.

(42:46):
I said this earlier, roll thetape back for those that dropped
in late.
I've served in spaces and placesthat didn't value me.
That season of my life is over.
I'm not begging for a seat atyour table, I'm not begging to
build your platform.
If we are not mutuallybenefiting each other, Saganara.

(43:14):
Period.

SPEAKER_02 (43:17):
I love that.
Look, I'm over here trying notto roll.

SPEAKER_01 (43:21):
We need to do a part two on relationships and the
transactions.
And I know this won't about whatwe're talking about, but I'm
feeling it in my shine becausethere are so many people in this
season that's realizing that itain't really what it was.
Right, right.

(43:44):
It ain't really what it was.
I thought it was this, but itreally was this.
So here's here's my thing.
Tell me what it is.
If you really just want me forthe gift, call me, cut me a
check, let me know I'm assignedto NDA, and then it's gonna be
what it's gonna be.
But if we really buildingsomething, let's build.

(44:04):
But if you just want the gift, you're getting an invoice.
My voice requires an invoice inthis season.
Okay, I'm done.
I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02 (44:16):
Oh, yeah, I look, you're about to have me running,
like for real.
Uh and I'm I'm sitting here likeLord have mercy, you know.
This is this is so so good righthere.
And like you said, it is timeout for just doing, you know, we
got to and and doing for peoplethat that really don't have the

(44:39):
best interests, don't have yourbest interest, don't you?
Because you know such and such.
They want you because you can dothis, or you know, you can bring
the crowd in.
That's what they want, you knowwhat I'm saying?
And it's like, no, yeah, you youget you'll you'll you'll be
getting an invoice, hallelujah.
And God's still gonna be in theroom.

(45:00):
Yes, he is, but you know, wehave to realize that you know we
you know, we can't just allowpeople to use us when when God
is trying to use us in a in agreater capacity, and um, and I
love that.
I love that.
Man, you have my soul.

SPEAKER_01 (45:20):
I am thank you.
So as a minister, I operate inone lane, but I also operate in
a lane of call.
Um, I'm a kingdom concierge, Icommunicate, I connect, and I
collaborate.
One thing for certain, twothings for sure.
My net worth, my network isrich, and I'm not saying that
like uh my network is rich ofpeople that I don't mind

(45:45):
connecting and pulling peopleon.
You know, Pastor Samantha Carteris on the night, the Lighthouse
Academy.
Y'all need to follow her, PastorDerrick White, the Faith Center.
I seen him make a comment.
You need to follow him, brotherCalvin Davis.
This brother can sing anothermaid man, but he's a brother.
That's another brother youconnect with.
Linda Ferguson, the list of somy net worth, my net worth is is

(46:13):
deep.
But but see, right, people don'tunderstand when you just go in
there for one thing, you're notgonna get everything.
So I'm an open book, follow meon all platforms, D Lee
Ministries.
That's D L E A Ministries onYouTube, Facebook, D.
Lee Ministries, TikTok, D.
Lee Ministries, or I G D L E AJr.

(46:38):
I would love to connect withyou.
Go to my website www.dleeministries.
That's d-lea ministries.com.
I'm excited for what's next.
I I want to I want to say onething before we close because
I'm just I don't just come to toreceive, I want to give before I
hang up before we go.
I know we go.

(46:59):
I want you to find two people.
I want to bless them with twotickets to your event on behalf
of D Lee Ministries.

SPEAKER_03 (47:07):
Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01 (47:08):
I want to bless two people to your events.
And if you want to bless twolisteners tonight that were
live, but I don't know how youwant to do it, but I want to
bless two people to the uh toyour event.
That's the um I want to give ageneral admission and I want to
hook them up with the uh mixeras well.
So send me the invoice for twotickets for the mixer and the um

(47:30):
full conference.
I'm gonna take care of it.

SPEAKER_02 (47:33):
You know what?
That is just a blessing.
I you know, the thing about it,I'm I'm I love that.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Because, you know, tonight Iwanted it to be more about you,
and now you're turning it aboutlike about me.
I'm super excited about that.
Um, because you know, we weoften need to be a blessing in

(47:56):
in other people's lives.
And if you want to be a, youknow, come to the Beyond the
Page.
I'll let you know a little bitmore about what it is.
And if you want to be it, youwant it, um, you know, reach out
to me and let me know if you'rein the John Creek area.
It's gonna be October the 10th.
But I want you to talk aboutyour your project that you put

(48:17):
um behind and let people knowabout it because that blessed my
soul.
Um, your motivational um albumthat you have online, and then
after that, we could you couldpray us out, and I'll come back
and let everybody know how theycan even be a part of the Beyond
the Pages.

SPEAKER_01 (48:37):
Perfect.
Thank you.
So, three years ago, I neverforget I was walking, and I used
to walk a lot.
I need to get back at it, but itwas one January, I was walking,
January 2022, and I had just memy wife had just got back in a
place to where our marriage wasgetting back on track.
Um, we had overcame a lot ofstuff.
Um, I just lost my mother late2021.

(49:00):
But January 2022, as I was doingmy morning walk, God spoke to me
and says, Um, I want you to doan inspirational album.
And I'm like, inspiration, andhe gave me every piece to the
puzzle on that five-mile walk.

SPEAKER_02 (49:13):
Wow.

SPEAKER_01 (49:14):
And I made the phone call when I got back from my
from my um walk.
God bless you, Glenn andShaniqua.
They're my people from Florida.
I um got back from my walk and Iuh made the phone calls, and I
was in the studio the middle ofFebruary, and we released it in
May.
Now, let me say this.

(49:35):
Wow, it didn't do what I wantedit to do.
Because sometimes we we have allthese expectations, right?
Right, and there were somethings on the back end that I
probably didn't do properly onthe business end, but I didn't
do it to get rich or make a lotof money, I did it to make
impact, right?

(49:55):
Um, but it's on all streamingplatforms, it's called A Moment
with D Lee.
That's D-L-E-A, and I have eighttracks on there.
It's less than 30 minutes, butit's one track that's near and
dear to my heart, and it'scalled The Journey.
And I'll close with this beforeI pray.
The journey is near and dear tome because I have truly been on

(50:15):
a journey, guys.
Yes, you know, ups, downs, highs, lows.
But God dealt with me a coupleof months ago.
He said, Stop reliving whatyou've been through.
He said, Because I brought youall through all of that, and
nobody wouldn't know unless youtell them.

(50:36):
Now we are overcome by the bloodof our testimony, we must share.
But he told me to stop focusingon the past and to focus on
where he's taken me, which ismulti-million dollar status.
It's not about the money, but hesays, You are gonna be a
multimillionaire, you're gonnahave generational wealth.

(50:57):
He he says your voice is goingto be a voice that's gonna
impact many, many people.
Wow, he said, you might not begetting the invitations just
yet, you might not get therequest just yet, but he made a
promise to me.
So I encourage you to downloadthat or go to YouTube, or even

(51:20):
if you say, Hey, hit me up inDM, I'll send you a uh uh a
track so you don't pay for it.
I'm not interested by the moneyif you want to hear it.
But the journey is significantbecause we all are on a journey,
yes, yes, to Glenn and Chaniqua, that's in Miami, to Derek that's
in California, to Samantriathat's in Chester.

(51:42):
I know y'all ain't never heardof Chester before, to La Shonda
that's in Chester, to mybrothers and sisters all over
the United States.
We're all on a journey to Lindaand Charlotte, we're all on a
journey, but the journey doesnot stop until we stop.

(52:03):
So thank you for allowing me tocome out of hiding because I've
been fighting doubt, fear, limited beliefs myself.
Wow, because I know what's inme, but I know what's happened,
right?
But he's allowed me to separatethe two.
So thank you.

(52:24):
That's why I want to be ablessing to you.
So thank you for asking me to bea part of your podcast.
Thank you for everyone whojoined tonight.
I know I text people today ormessage you.
Thank you for counting notrobbery to just join and
collaborate.
And we are all on a journey.

SPEAKER_03 (52:44):
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (52:45):
So I'm gonna close out in a prayer.
Father God, I thank you for thisday.
We thank you for this podcast.
God, if it's anything in usthat's not like you, we ask that
you remove it right now.
Father God, we ask that you dealwith us, God, in those areas,
those unhealed wounds that weall have, God.

(53:06):
God, deal with us with thosesituations, God, that we still
are carrying that we can't seemto let go, God.
God, we repent, God.
God, we ask God for an Ephesians3:20 blessing over our life, not
just for us to floss, not justfor us to brag, but so we can
point it back to you.

(53:26):
That people could say, You didthat for them, and we can say,
It was Jesus.
Yes, God, God, I'm believing youfor a big life, God.
God, I'm believing you that bythe end of this year, God,
somebody's marriage is going tobe restored.
I'm believing you, God, that bythe end of this year, somebody's
kid is gonna come home, God.
I'm believing you, God, that bythe end of this year, that

(53:48):
person that got the pink noticewill be back working.
I'm believing you, God, thatthat homeless person will find
shelter.
God, I'm believing you forsomething big.
I'm believing you, God, that thedoctor's report will not show
cancer.
I'm believing you, God, that youare going to break generational
curses.
I am believing you, God, tochange the minds of us, God, of

(54:12):
those who are living in thedark, who are living in past,
who are struggling with limitedto beliefs.
I am believing you, God, tobless our lives like never
before, God, not for our glory, but we are pointed back to you.
And when people say, How did wedo it?

(54:33):
We will quickly say, No, it wasnot I, yes, but it was Jesus
Christ.
So I thank you, I glorify youfor this time.
God, I actually bless thispodcast, that you bless this
conference that's up and coming,October the 10th, God, that you
bless the speakers, God, God,that you bless the attendees,
God, God.
I I speak that the budget is metright now in the name of Jesus.

(54:58):
Yes, God, God, because it coststo put on these events, and
people only see what they see, they don't see the blood, they
don't see the sweat, they don'tsee the tears.
God, so I ask you, God, tosupply every need according to
your riches.
And if it's anything, God, thatI haven't mentioned, God, that
someone needs tonight.
You know it, because you knowevery hair on our body.

(55:18):
In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

SPEAKER_02 (55:21):
Amen.
Woo boy.
Oh, thank you, Jesus.
Hallelujah.
Thank you, Jesus, thank you,Jesus, thank you, Jesus, thank
you, Jesus.
Um I'm so I'm so honored to haveyou on here.
I am so full right now.
Like, I don't think youunderstand how full I am because

(55:45):
um when God sends, He sendswell, right?
I at one thing when I startedthe podcast, I didn't have to go
look for people.
People came to me and they andthey wanted to be on here, and
I'm so excited about you beingon here that I'm just I'm just
in awe, and I just thank you somuch for being on here.

(56:07):
And a lot of the stuff that hetalked about, and I, you know, I
often offer Christ to y'all.
I want you all to, you know, just think about it.
If you it will be hard if youhave not given your life to
Christ.
And one thing that I talk aboutis that you can act, you can
acknowledge that you are asinner, you can confess with

(56:29):
your mouth and believe in yourheart that Jesus Christ died on
the cross, you can turn fromyour ways, and then you can seek
after a Bible-based church, achurch that is teaching the word
and not changing the word ofGod.
And so that right there is oneof the things that we want to
make sure um on this podcast isthat you know that we are cue

(56:52):
for Christ.
But if you don't have Christ inyour life, it'll be uh it'll be
a little difficult, a lotdifficult to reach these goals.
So, anyways, I thank you again.
I'm so excited that you go inand spent some time with me.

(57:14):
Um, you know, like I like he wastalking about at the conference,
you can go, it's beyond thepages.
It is gonna be October the 10th.
Um, we are gonna have someincredible, incredible speakers,
make breakout rooms, a lot ofpodcasts, um uh artists, gospel
artists that's gonna be there.

(57:35):
And you you just don't want tomiss.
If you are in the in the um JohnCreek area, um, you can go and
you can you can scan thisbarcode.
Um it'll take you right onto theBeyond the Pages website where

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
