(02:33):
Okay, because tonight we are uphere with another success on
purpose.
Okay, and this is where we aretalking about walking boldly in
your purpose, gaining clarityand taking the initial steps
towards your success.
Ok, and when I talk aboutsuccess, I'm not talking about
success by money, cars, fame, anything like that.
(02:55):
We are talking about thesuccess by the backing of God.
Ok, we know that you have tomake sure like it says in
Habakkuk 2 and 2, you have towrite the vision, make it plain,
ok, so that is what we aredoing here.
That is who we are talking to.
We are talking to individualsthat have unintentionally
applied this acronym to theirlife, and I am so excited
(03:18):
because tonight I have the honorand the privilege to be able to
have one of my squad members onhere.
So I'm super excited to haveNeasia on here.
How are you?
Let me get you in first.
Let me get you in, okay.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Oh, so hey, hey, hey,
Jay.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
How you doing, Jay.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I'm so excited to
have you up here.
I'm doing wonderful.
It's such an honor to be here.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
You are so welcome.
I tell you she is.
Look, I told her I said I'mgonna let you introduce yourself
because she do a lot of a lotof things.
I mean she is a filmmaker, sheis an author, she is an interior
designer, she is some ofeverything.
So if you would do me a favor, just kind of introduce yourself
(04:08):
to the audience so they can knowwho you is, because I know I
murder your first name everytime I say it.
That's okay, I know I do, I'msorry.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Well, hi everybody.
I am Nisha Allen.
I am an author, I am afilmmaker, I am a creative.
I have a book out called 21 DayJumpstart Business Blueprint
Roadmap.
As well as I'm an interiordesigner.
I love designing and decorating.
(04:38):
I'm just an overall creative.
Me and my husband also have asong called Walking in the Mega,
so I like to do music, I liketo dance.
I just love to be in creativespaces and it's just an honor to
be here.
This is my very first podcastas a guest, so thank you so much
.
And it's just I know it's justorchestrated by God because of
(05:02):
the platform that you have andyour success on purpose.
That's what I'm living in rightnow.
So I know it was God whoorchestrated this and allowed me
to be on your platform.
I thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Well, you know, let
me tell you you are so welcome.
Well, you know, let me tell youyou are so welcome.
And you know, when she got inmy squad y'all and I don't think
y'all understand when I saysquad we have it's like a
women's ministry at our churchand she came running.
When I say came running, andyou know I had something to do,
(05:41):
and she said I got you.
And when I say she got me, Ifelt the love so much and I just
I wanted to to say thank youfor stepping in and and doing
that for me.
You know that that is soamazing.
I know, you know, um, if PastorShamika was here, she'd
probably say the same thing.
So I, I'm, I'm super excitedthat God has connected us Right
(06:05):
and and it's not for just onetime, ok, this is a, this is a
connection that I know that isgoing to be a connection for
years and years and years tocome.
So I'm super excited that thatyou are here and just to know
that you got a song to know thatyou got a song girl hold
up.
Oh my god, that is so cool, youknow.
(06:29):
And one thing that she do and Iknow we'll get we'll get to
talking about this a little bitlater one thing that she do is
she go and feed the homeless.
Now I'm gonna make sure that weget that, that website up where
you can be able to go anddonate, like literally.
I'm so excited if you couldtalk about that just a little
bit before we go into it, aboutthe, the homeless ministry that
you do on Sunday.
(06:49):
I think that is pretty good.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
so, um, I have just a
heart to serve and just to pour
into people.
That's just who I am.
Um, and so all of my life, evenas a young adult, I would
always go to homeless sheltersand I would pick up the homeless
and take them out to eat.
I would buy their childrenclothes, like I've always done
(07:12):
that.
And so when transitioning overhere to Georgia, me and my
husband we had went out to eatone day in downtown and they
were like your wait time isgoing to be like an hour and a
half.
So we were trying to findsomething to do.
So we literally went around theblock and ran into the Atlanta
Rescue Mission.
I said, oh, this is God.
(07:33):
We don't know our way around.
I said this is God.
He's going to miss you righthere, because at this time in my
life I'm only doing things thatare purposeful, that God placed
inside of me, that he wants meto do to carry out his plan
while I'm here in the earthrealm.
Okay, so.
So then I started to make aconnection with them and I
started to go there and givethem toiletries and sew into
(07:56):
them because of what they weredoing, because it aligned with
who I am.
So one day fast forward, maybeabout two, three months later.
So one day fast forward, maybeabout two, three months later,
me and my husband, we weredowntown Atlanta and we were
supposed to get off on the nextstop, but the Holy Spirit told
me to get off on this particularstop.
I did not know why my husbandwas like this is not our stop.
(08:18):
I was like I know, but I feellike we should get off here.
So we got off and we seen someindividuals just doing, just
dancing and singing Christianmusic.
So we was like, oh my God,they're doing a concert for the
homeless.
Oh, my goodness.
And then me and my husband.
We had a Christian rap songcalled Walking in the Mega.
(08:38):
We were like, can we do oursong too?
And so they allowed us toperform.
They did.
They did not know us, had nevermet us before, and then later
on I learned that it was anactual service for the homeless.
So we came in on praise andworship.
They have a full circle.
Once we found that out, I said,oh God, I know you talking to
(09:01):
me.
This is right where I need tobe.
So once we found that out,we've been locked in.
I have a nonprofit organizationcalled the Love Foundation, and
so it's about pouring love intodifferent situations and people,
because that's who Christ is.
Christ is love, and so whenpeople see us as Christians,
they should see the love ofChrist.
(09:22):
So, fast forward, we joined inwith the ministry.
We were there every Sunday.
It's a full service.
I'm talking about praise andworship, a full sermon, altar
call, and then afterwards weprovide food, toiletries,
sleeping bags, shoes, resources, whatever that they need, and
(09:47):
people show up.
We do about 500 people a week.
That's man.
That might've been a lie, but Ijust wanted people to get the.
I wanted people to see thewhole picture of how God moved
in that situation to get mealigned with my purpose, that he
had been deposited in me.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Wow, that, no, that
was perfect.
It was because you know, that's, that's like I was mentioning
to you earlier.
That's one of my passions andI'm like, I'm excited, look,
because now that I ain't havingto go to no office that much, I
should have some time.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Okay, good, we would
love to have you, the ministry
that we partnered with isactually a Korean pastor.
He's Korean and it's a few ofhis Korean family members,
friends, but we're the onlyAfrican Americans, the only
Americans down there that havejoined with him to help support
(10:45):
this ministry.
So when he's away, he have me,I have to give the word, I have
to preach, and it's just ablessing just to pour into
people and just to love on them, cause some of them, that's all
that they missing is just love.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Just love.
Oh, my God, look, I love that, love that.
So I'm so, I'm so excited andand um about that, and I, I just
look, I'm telling you we don'thave to, we don't have to really
, really get in on that.
So, um, what I'm gonna do nowis I'm gonna say a quick prayer
before we go a little further, and then, um, we want to know
(11:21):
how you been cute for christ.
We want to know how you've beencute for Christ.
We want to know how Jay I'mgoing to call you Jay, because I
don't know why I want to add meas your- name.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
You can do me as your
name Nisha, nisha, right?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
So, anyways, I'm
going to say a quick prayer and
then we'll go further.
Okay, all right.
So, dear Heavenly Father, god,I come to you.
First.
I want to say thank you.
Thank you, god, for carvingthis time out where we can be
able to just be able to love oneach other and to be able to
talk about how you have cued usup, god, how you have gotten us
to where we are.
(11:56):
God, we thank you now, god, fortouching Ne'Jah's life and
touching Jay's life.
God, we thank you now for herfamily and her children and her
husband.
God, we just thank you now foreven going with her hands, god.
Whatever her hands touch, weask you to touch it, to go, god.
God, we know that you are inthe midst of us, god, and we
thank you now for your presence, god, we thank you for anybody
(12:18):
that is going to be watching, god, god.
So why?
We want them to be blessed andto hear something, god, that
will help them be able to gettogether and get their life
cubed.
God, and we thank you now forthe love that you have displayed
.
God, we just thank you now foreven hiding us behind the cross,
allowing your word to go forth, god, and so we thank you for
everything that you're doing inour life, god.
(12:39):
We count it all, joy.
Anything that you have given us, we count it all, joy, god.
And so anything that you havegiven us, we count it all, joy,
god.
And so we thank you, we loveyou, god, we honor you.
(12:59):
It's in jesus name that I pray.
Amen, amen, amen.
So I'm so excited, um, aboutabout having you on here and I,
you know, like I said, it's oneof the things as that we, um,
you know here, when I talk aboutkilling for christ is one of
those things that we, you knowhear.
When I talk about keeping forChrist is one of those things
that I know that you have beencalled right, I can see it all
over you.
So, when you was a kid and Iknow you shared just a little
bit about when you was a youngadult but when you were a kid,
(13:20):
did you even think that youwould be even in this kind of
calling what God has called youto do, or were there anything
else that you wanted to do as akid?
Speaker 3 (13:32):
So that's the thing.
During this phase of my life, Ihad to go back and unpack and
find myself.
And so when I went back andlooked at myself as a kid, god
was already queuing me up to behere.
As a kid, there was thisorganization called Youth for
(13:57):
Christ.
I grew up in a small towncalled Muskegon in Michigan.
It was this youth for Christ, and then a branch off of that
was called Campus Life and therewas this angel.
His name was Ed Drake.
He would come.
We lived in the hood.
There wasn't no other races, itwas all us.
(14:19):
It was all urban, allAfrican-American hood
neighborhood.
He would come to our schoolduring lunchtime and walk around
and recruit us to come to hisprogram for young adults,
teenagers, junior high, and itwas centered around Christ, and
(14:39):
so he would.
He would pick us up in a van,in a white van.
Sometimes the children in theneighborhood used to be like who
are you?
Are you the po-po?
What you doing in ourneighborhood?
Who you spying on?
But when I look back on my life, god was.
He was preparing me andtraining me because, ed Drake,
(15:01):
he poured so much into me,no-transcript.
(15:33):
And so that was one thing.
The other thing that he did washe also was a producer and he
produced his own television showand he did music.
He had his own band.
He has music out.
And so he allowed me to be aspeaker on his team talk show
(15:56):
and it was called Straight Talk.
He had a whole productionstudio in the lower level of his
home and so he stayed in mylife from, I believe, like the
eighth grade, all the way upuntil I graduated.
He gave me my very first job,my very first paid summer job I
still have my check stub todaymy very first paying job as a
(16:20):
leader, and he just poured somuch in me.
I still talk to him to this day.
He's retired, he lives on theWest Coast and he was just like
my angel, like God knew who toput in my life, to give me that
foundation and to pour into me,because he knew that there was
(16:42):
going to be fruit at some timein my future.
So I thank God for Ed Drake.
He didn't have any children.
He used to come no matter what.
He never gave up on the kids inthe hood.
I talked to him about thismaybe about a year ago and he
said God just gave me thepassion and the desire to be
(17:04):
there for these children in thehood.
He was like I'm a white man, what do I know about the hood
and the kids in the hood, but hewas like God gave that to me
and he never had any children.
We were like his children.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
That's amazing.
I love that.
I love that so much because youknow, like I heard Bishop TDJ
say that God will always leavecrumbs up to your purpose, like
you'll call him, and you had awhole you know.
You didn't even have to, like,go back and realize that,
(17:40):
because you know.
It's one of those things whereGod say you know what, I'm going
to take you here and I'm goingto show you, and I know some
stuff we do in one season.
We don't know why.
You know what I'm saying andwe'd be like, why am I doing
this?
But now you see, you know, andthe thing about it, god will
always take you at that pointand he will unite you with
(18:04):
people that will help you getthere and, like you did with you
know, like you say, mr Angel, right, and so who were some key
people that you know in yourlife that helped you along this
journey?
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Besides Ed, I
wouldn't say anyone else.
None of my friends really had apassion for homeless people or
people who were less fortunate.
It was just usually me and itwas just something that was just
in me.
I was 18, 19 years old and itwas just a fire in me and a
(18:43):
desire to do that and a desireto do that, and so really it was
just God.
It was just something that wasplaced in me, just as somebody
who knew how to just naturallyknow how to play the piano, but
no one taught them it was justin them Right, right, right, and
, and, and that's, and that's a.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
You know that's a
good thing, because you know,
sometimes we do have to goforward first by ourselves
before you know, sometimes we dohave to go forward first by
ourselves before you knowanybody else.
Because you know one thing thatwe, you know, have to do, and I
and I talk about this with umI've said this before that
sometimes we have to go, likeHarriet Tubman had to go first,
and then come back and pickpeople up, because you know we
(19:25):
want to take everybody with usand everybody ain't supposed to
go with us.
At that certain time, you know, and, and now it's like, okay, I
know who to go back and get, Iknow who I can go back and say,
okay, you can come and help me.
Now you know what I'm saying, because that is that is very
important when you on a certainjourney that God has you on and
(19:46):
you know we be wanting to takethe wrong people, you know.
So, um, were there anyeducation that equipped you for
this journey that you know, evenwith the filmmaking, um, were
there any education that youjust kind of like, stopped and
say you know what I need to stopand learn how to do this.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
So I could do it
better.
It basically was kind of like ait was like a God led thing I
did.
I didn't have a plan, god justkind of orchestrated my steps
and I just followed.
I did take a writer's class.
I went to a writer's retreatgiven by Greenlit.
(20:27):
Greenlit ATL.
Shout out to Ernestine Morrisonand Cass Egers.
They put on a writer's retreathere in Georgia and it was about
maybe about 15 women.
And that's where I met one ofmy key angels here, who was a
big supporter, who kind of likeintroduced me to Atlanta and the
(20:48):
film industry.
Her name is Melina CunninghamAnderson.
She is yes, I love her.
She was like my ed in this legof the race, right, wow.
Because I knew that I had adesire to do certain things,
because I knew I was a creative.
I knew what I wanted to do as akid.
(21:09):
But I'm here, I don't knowanybody, I don't know what to do
.
So I said, well, let me juststart out with how do you write
a script.
So I met her, and I met her atthe writer's retreat and I had
just got introduced to FinalDraft, which is the software
that you use to write scripts, and so she was familiar with it.
She was in Georgia becausepeople were from all over the
(21:30):
country at the writer's retreatand I asked her would she help
me?
And she said sure.
So we met for coffee and Ithought it was going to be about
15 minutes.
We sat there and talked for sixhours and we've been locked in
ever since.
That is my buddy, that's mypartner Like.
(21:50):
She is such a gem.
She's so down to earth, she'sso humble, she's so loving and
she is a emmy award-winning uhretired news broadcaster.
She's been in all kinds of films, she's lifetime like, she's
like mega, and I'm just littleold me, just trying to find my
way and she said come on, girl,I've been you, come roll with me
(22:14):
and she's just been a blessingsince I've been down here.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
So she's my egg on
this leg of my race that's that
you know the thing about it godwill put you around the right
people, right um, to get youwhere you, where you need to be,
because you know we, we have toknow that, um, sometimes
education look different fromjust going to school.
(22:39):
You know, I I've I've oftentold people and I think I said
this earlier today you know,being a podcaster, I, I didn't
go to a school for it, I had togo to university.
I had to go to YouTubeuniversity.
I had to go and make sure Ipaid attention to other people.
I had to go and do the leadwork myself because I knew where
(23:00):
God was calling me and I neededto get more of an understanding
of it, and so that was the mainthing about education.
So talk about the clarity ofyour calling when you got it and
at that moment when you werelike, okay, I understand my
purpose.
Now, god pastor, pastor DariusDaniels.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
The most that ever
did it Right.
He gave a message about walkingin your uncommon calling If
that didn't set me free, becausesometimes you have things it's
like.
Sometimes you have thingsinside of you and you know.
Sometimes you feel like you'resupposed to be in certain boxes
(23:55):
and certain lanes.
You don't want to seem soscattered, but I know all of the
things that God put inside ofme and it's uncommon.
It's uncommon for a person tohave a passion to feed the
homeless one day, be on setgiving direction and producing
the next day, the next daydecorating a home and then the
(24:17):
next day picking up her daughter, taking all of her friends to
the movies and then going to herbasketball games.
Then the next day she's goingto church with her family and
just celebrating with her squadmembers, and then the next day
she's writing a book and givingpeople more clarity, more
direction, more insight intotheir business and building a
(24:41):
foundation for them.
And then she's on skits.
I'm on skits.
I wanted to be an actress as akid.
I'm on skits.
I'm on skits.
I wanted to be an actress as akid.
I'm on skits.
I didn't even ask to be on askit, god just ushered me in and
now I'm on skits.
Now I'm then another day I'macting on set like I'm doing so
much and I know it's uncommon.
But pastor darius dan said walkin, your uncommon calling
(25:08):
Uncommon calling.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
And now, the more
that you say that it's like
because I know I do a lot and Ioften tell people it trickles
down from our pastor because hedoes a whole lot and, like you
say, when he said that uncommoncalling and I'm in uncommon
calling Academy, right, and soI'm excited just to even get
(25:36):
there and, like you said, itfrees you from trying to put
yourself into a certain box andsay, oh, I'm only going to do
this or I'm only going to dothat, and like he teaches us, we
are this and that right, so wecan do this and that, you know,
and we don't have to pick, youknow, because God want God, you
(25:59):
know sometimes, you know Godwant us to work on one thing
this season and maybe the nextseason he want us to work on the
other thing.
You know, this season and maybethe next season he want us to
work on the other thing, youknow, and and that, right there,
like you said, it does freeze, you know, and I and when you
said it, you know, I've, like Isaid I meant Uncommon Calling
Academy, but when you said it itjust was like you all right you
(26:22):
know what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (26:23):
and and just to look
at how much fruit he has by
being obedient and walking inhis uncommon calling.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Right, right, because
you know his, his calling is
uncommon, for real.
You know what I'm saying and, like you said, so much fruit and
you know, and it's just, it'sjust amazing.
It's amazing and one thing thatI can say it helps us stay
(26:52):
excited about what we're doingand it keeps us going.
So one of the things that, whenany challenges that come your
way, what helps you staymotivated, besides knowing that
we're in our, you know whathelped keep you motivated.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Um, just I believe,
um, I do a daily devotion called
Jesus calling, and it keeps myeye on Christ Right, um, and so
it allows me to stay focused.
Um, I, I put on my worship andI'm just open.
I was in a season where I wasjust so empty and so unhappy and
(27:34):
so depressed and nobody aroundme knew it and I was like nobody
cares, nobody see how heavythis is, nobody.
So I never want to be backthere again.
So I'm only, I'm only walkinginto my purpose and my calling.
Nothing else moves me.
(27:56):
Somebody could say, somebodycould come to me and be like oh
well, we want.
We want you to, let's say, makelaps for a half a million
dollars a year.
I would say that's not what godwant me to do.
Right?
I would decline it.
Right, because even though Iwould have a decent income, I
(28:17):
know I will be empty again and Inever want to be empty again.
I'm so much full of life.
The word says where, um?
What does it say about?
Where christ is, you're free.
Right where the spirit of thelord is yes, you're free, there
is joy, there is freedom.
(28:37):
I have so much joy and freedom.
Just it gives me so much lifeto walk in my purpose and
calling every day.
It's nothing like it.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and
and that you know, and that's
you know, that right there saysit all you know.
Because one thing we have toknow is that we, that right
there fuels us to keep going.
It fuels us, it gives us thatexcitement, you know, and the
and the thing about it, onething that I know is that being
(29:11):
excited it brings ondetermination to keep going.
And so I want you to just talkabout the mindset that you have
where you say I'm determined forthis, I'm not giving up,
because I know a lot of peopleis.
You know they can get excitedbut they lose their excitement,
but excitement brings ondetermination, and so I really
(29:35):
just want you to tell theaudience how important it is to
stay determined for your mission.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
I would say you want
to stay determined because, oh,
excuse me, there's nothingbetter than getting to the
finish line.
Right, if you quit, you cannever make it Right.
When you even think about thechildren of of israel coming out
(30:08):
of egypt right, they're comingout of egypt.
They were faced with with uhbattles.
They kept going, even when theycame to the red sea.
That's when your faith got akick in and you say god, I know
what your promises are.
Yes, you got to stand on yourJeremiah 29 and 11.
(30:29):
Right, and you got to keep itmoving and don't let nothing
stop you.
I know, you know Kanye is goingthrough a lot of stuff in the
media and stuff, but I just wantto use him as like an example.
Or even, I watched hisdocumentary and even when people
(30:49):
didn't believe in him, goddeposited something in him where
he kept going.
He got into a car accident.
They wanted to drop him fromthe label and he did not.
He let nothing stop him becausehe knew what he was supposed to
do.
So you got to know when you gotto stand on, as they would say,
stand on business.
(31:09):
Right, and you got to keepgoing and don't let nothing stop
you Right, you can't let ahospital bed stop him, a car
accident stop him.
And then the obedience to keepgoing.
Tabitha Brown she was one of mychampions when I was going
through my transition to getinto my purpose and when I
(31:32):
watched and heard her story andher obedience and her faith,
just to follow whatever God wastelling her when she didn't even
understand.
So if God is telling you to dosomething, even if you don't
understand it, be obedient tothat thing.
She don't know why she'sstanding in front of a camera
cooking.
She's like I ain't no cook, I'man actress.
He like keep cooking.
(31:54):
And she kept cooking.
Sick, depressed, defeated, andshe kept cooking.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
Girl, you give me
crock.
I'm getting crock only because, you know, sometimes God always
tell me get back to the podcast, get back to the podcast, and
that is one of the things thatyou know.
God often tell me get back tothe podcast.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Well, that's where
you need to be.
Is that the podcast?
Right?
The podcast Cause?
You don't know what God gonnaopen up by your obedience.
Being at the podcast, she wentfrom 10 viewers she was getting
like 10 to 15 viewers and then, next thing you know, suddenly in
the midnight hour, everythingchanged, right?
Speaker 2 (32:47):
everything everything
just like that man, I love that
, that you know, and those thosetype of people when you can
look at it and and you know andknow that, um, where they came
from.
Yeah, right, yes, you know, andthey know that they can make it
(33:07):
, yeah they made it yes you'regonna.
I did um a video today.
I was like you have to beconsistent, you know, and you
have to keep going and not allowwhat you see to hinder what you
believe.
Yes, know that God is going totake you somewhere.
You know that because he firstoff.
(33:28):
You know his track record right.
You have seen where he broughtyou from, yes, seen where he
brought you from, yes, and wehave to make sure that we are
not allowing that right there toyou know, to hinder us right,
and you know so I'm.
I'm so excited that you know howyou have been queued up.
(33:49):
Look, you were queued up beforeyou knew you was queued up.
Girl, I'm queued up, let's go.
You know, I'm so excited.
So now the one thing that Iwant you to just kind of leave
with the audience is just somekind of quick advice that you
would give someone when they arein their season, where they
(34:10):
don't understand the season thatthey're in, and just give them
a little advice in that they'rein and just give them a little
advice.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
I would say trust the
Holy Spirit, right, because
he's there to lead us and guideus.
Listen to the Holy Spirit Rightand allow that to lead you not
man, not your mama, not yourdaddy, not your friends.
(34:42):
The Holy Spirit, yes, because Iended up empty by listening to
other people, right, lettingother people dictate what I
should be doing in this season, where I should work, what I
should do, and I ended up empty.
But if I would have stopped andlistened to the Holy Spirit, I
(35:03):
would have already been on track.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
Right.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
But God makes no
mistakes, because I've quantum
leaked, as Pastor Darius wouldsay, and I am on track to
whatever God has me to do in hiskingdom.
I'm on track I God has me to doin his kingdom.
I'm on track, I haven't missed abeat.
I've had crash courses andeverything.
I came when we moved down here.
My husband was like so what'sthe plan?
I said, honey, I don't have aplan.
(35:27):
He's like, well, what are wegoing to do?
I said I don't know.
God just said go to Atlanta.
He just said go.
And now I can.
It's one thing.
When you read the word, okay, yeah, you read the word, but
when you got to live that thing, when you got to live that thing
, it's totally different.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
And look, I think you
know Pastor Darius was talking
about that last night.
You know what I'm saying?
It's a lot of people that canread the Bible, but when you
learn how to apply it or have toapply it to your life, it is
totally different.
It looks different, it feelsdifferent.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
It is different.
Yeah, I know, we have to knowthat, you know living the Bible
is where we are now Follow theHoly Spirit and think about and
always remember Lot's wife.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Woo, you about to
make me throw something at you,
girl Lot's wife.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Oh my God, jesus, you
can't look back, you got to
keep going, you got to keepgoing, wow, you got to keep
going.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Wow, that's so
amazing.
That is so amazing.
That is so amazing.
Oh, my goodness, I'm so excitedthat you were here.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Thank, you for having
me.
This is a blessing.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
I am so thankful that
you are here now.
I want you to not only leavewhere people can locate you.
I want you to talk about yourbook because you know, all this
time I didn't know she waswriting a book.
You know, yeah, I got my book, but I ain't know you was writing
a book.
Like I was like Ooh, let'sArthur's.
(37:09):
I love Arthur's because youknow we spend so much time on
writing and you know we want tomake sure we get the word out
there.
So we are.
You know I want you to talkabout your book.
Let's talk about this book thatyou got up here y'all.
Look, this is tight, I likethat.
So just tell the people allabout the book and where they
(37:31):
can get it from, and then makesure you leave.
Let everybody know where theycan reach you at.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Okay and then you
bring us out okay.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
So this book is one
of those, um, obedient moments
that I had.
God gave me this book in 2019and I sat on it.
I didn't do anything right.
Um, and god kept sending peopleinto my life and they kept
(38:02):
mentioning a book and I'm like, okay, god, I know, this is you
speaking to me.
I'm going to be obedient.
So then I didn't know how towrite a book.
I knew what I wanted to say,but I didn't know how to format
it.
I didn't know how to doanything.
So I reached out to a couple ofpeople and they wanted like
(38:23):
thousands and thousands andthousands of dollars and I was
like, well, I don't want to dothe book that bad, I'm just
doing it out of obedience.
And so I just started kind offiguring it out on my own.
It was challenging.
I had to redo the format likethree, four times, because I
(38:43):
didn't even know where to start.
First I started on Canva, thenI went to Google Google pages or
what have you.
Did it there.
Then I found out the formatwasn't right.
When I had to upload it it hadto be in the right format for
the size of the book.
It was all kinds of stuff.
Then I had problems with theISBN.
I had to work through all ofthis on my own and keep pressing
(39:07):
forward out of obedience, because I could have just gave
up, right, right.
And so God gave me this book in2019 and it's called 21 Day
Jumpstart Business BlueprintSpiritual Roadmap, and what it
does is it walks you through a21 day journey of something that
you can do every day for 21days to jumpstart your business.
(39:31):
It walks you through not onlynatural things, but it allows
you to have a spiritualfoundation.
So when you're going throughthe 21-day period, you're also
building practices that willallow your business to flourish
once you get up and running.
(39:52):
In the book, some of the thingsthat we do every day is a
scripture and something to standon.
So you're reading yourscripture, you're praying every
day.
Some days it's just praying, worshiping and fasting.
Some days it's pouring intoother people's business and
praying for them, and once youget through your 21 days, you're
(40:13):
like okay, I got to keep ondoing this in my business.
I got to make sure I'm settingtime aside where I can be still
and listen to God and I'm notjust running around doing this,
doing that, doing that, justbeing just too busy to be still
Right, because sometimes we gotto be still so that God can
speak to us.
You know, when you havesomething new even like a new
(40:35):
baby, a new business or a newsomething you constantly trying
to get it up and running, doingthis, doing that, but in all of
that, god wants you to be still,so that you can get direction,
you can get revelation and youcan stay connected to him, right
?
So the book was birthed out ofobedience.
(40:56):
You can find it on Amazon, youcan connect with me on Facebook
and Instagram at Nisha Allen, and you can also look up my
information on our website, nishaallencom as well.
So I'm excited.
It was just an obedience thing.
I have really no expectation.
It's just like Tabitha when shewas cooking God just told me to
(41:18):
do it.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
That is so awesome.
I'm so excited that you did it.
Obedience is better thansacrifice right.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Obedience yes.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
And I'm so excited
because, being a self-published,
I know I trust me that rightthere, you know it is.
It is not for the the curious, for the serious, when you trying
to, when you try to be obedientto God, especially writing a
(41:53):
book yeah um, doing itself-published, because, trust
me, I know.
So I'm so excited that you washere.
If you want to go ahead on andpray us out and I'll come back
out in the show and then we'llgo further, okay, well thank you
so much again for having me.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
I'll try to bump into
you and get you a book so you
can let me know what you think.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
I'm trying to bump
into you and get you a book so
you can let me know what youthink Like them kids be doing.
Look, I promise you I'm goingto read it.
I read everybody books, Okay.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
Literally Thank you,
thank you, and I want your
honest opinion oh girl.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Look, let me tell you
, I know, because that's how I
am.
Look, be honest with me, right?
So?
But yeah, I can't wait, I'mexcited.
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
