Monsieur Joseph Bitamba est réalisateur, producteur et scénariste qui vit Toronto. Il a débuté sa carrière comme responsable des émissions pour enfants et jeunes à la Télévision Nationale Burundaise. Jadis journaliste et réalisateur pour TFO (radio éducative ontarienne de langue française), il est à présent réalisateur et producteur indépendant. Il mène des projets avec de nombreux chaines de télévision et radio rwandaises. Ses films documentaires ont été diffusés sur Radio-Canada, TFO et TV5 (France). Parmi les plus récents, Les Oubliées des Grands Lacs (2020), Ishyaka : La volonté de vivre(2016), La victoire de l’amour sur la haine (2014), et Les tambours sacrés (2013) qui met en relief les similitudes sacrales et artistiques entre le peuple Burundais et les Premières Nations au Canada.
