Myriam Richard est étudiante au doctorat à l’École de travail social de la Faculté des arts et des sciences de l’Université de Montréal. Son travail vise une meilleure compréhension des expériences vécues par les familles réfugiées et immigrantes et la défense de leurs droits à travers la recherche, la formation et l'intervention sociale. Il vise aussi à soutenir les intervenants sociaux et communautaires qui accompagnent ces familles au quotidien. Sa thèse de doctorat en cours porte sur les expériences de séparation et de réunification de familles réfugiées transnationales. Elle est ancrée dans les études critiques sur la famille, les approches transnationales et les méthodologies narratives.
