Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good morning and
welcome to Lead Like a Mother.
This is episode three.
We are still working on ourintroduction, so bear with me.
There's a lot evolving rightnow in the scope of my work and
I'm somebody who is kind ofmovement over perfection.
I'm okay to let things evolve, even when they're not perfect,
(00:21):
if I feel guided to take thestep.
I'm going to take the step andI'm going to trust that it's all
going to unfold and just bewith the creative process, and
that's just served me reallywell.
I'm thinking even of theFacebook group right now.
That's got a rebrand calledWealthy Womb for conscious
mothers and leaders, and Ihaven't updated the banner on
(00:44):
the page, but I was hit with theinspiration to rebrand it, so
you can now find the newFacebook group facebookcom slash
groups slash wealthy womb.
If you'd like to join us forweekly conversations, I really
want to spend more time in there.
I'm gearing up for that.
This year is proving to be ayear of restructuring to make
(01:10):
space for a whole new energy, and I'm thinking of, you know,
the Chinese year of the snake, and it feels very much.
I can feel that snake energycoming through is a lot of
shedding away and there's awhole new energy emerging, you
know, which invites me to askyou the question where, in your
experience, we're also headinginto the spring equinox which,
(01:33):
granted, we still have a good 30days but when the wheel of the
year begins to shift, there islike a natural instinct to want
to purge, to want to cleanse, towant to clear and to release,
to let go, to kind of tune upour energy.
And that's the gift of each andevery seasonal change.
(01:54):
Right, when we work with MotherEarth and her natural rhythms
and her natural cycles.
It's the gift of working withour own intrinsic cycle that's
built into us so beautifullythrough our monthly bleed and I
(02:17):
know that sometimes for womenit's not always regular, right,
we can slowly and graduallystart to listen and deepen into
and heal those layers and startto come into a new space of
trust with our own rhythm andwith our own naturalness.
And that's, you know, that's abig part of the work that I do
with women in the world.
(02:38):
And one thing that I'm comingout with very soon is the divine
floral rituals, yonibal Steam, you know, herbal yoni steaming
has been such a powerful toolfor clients but also in my own
journey.
It was about six, seven monthsago, maybe even eight months ago
(03:00):
now.
Yoni steaming is something thatI've enjoyed for many years,
especially when I started toreally deepen into womb work on
my path and I was doing it moreso to clear stagnation from the
womb space.
And where's today's podcastgoing?
Today's podcast, we're going tobe talking about renewal, how
(03:25):
to trust the seasons and cyclesof your life, how to harness
that power, how to set the stagefor change that actually
supports your soulful, feminineevolution.
One thing, though, that hasalso been on my heart.
Before I get into that andyou'll notice, I love to really
speak in circles.
Feminine wisdom travels more ofa circular path, and, for the
(03:51):
most part, 99% of the time, Iwill always circle back and hit
on anything that I've started totalk about.
So join me for today'sintuitive conversation, which is
really what this is.
But one thing that I wanted totouch into, one thing that I
wanted to tap into, is authenticsuccess.
I was sharing with a friendtoday my gratitude, and not from
(04:17):
a place of doing a gratitudepractice, you know where, and
I've certainly appreciatedgratitude practice.
It's something that has helpedme during challenging times in
my life and my business whenthings weren't growing and
flowing the way that I desiredthem to.
It was a very, very helpfulpractice and I still do it.
But gratitude, the gratitude, the heart, full gratitude of
(04:39):
looking around at my life andfeeling almost in awe of what
I've created.
And now I'm not a seven-figurebusiness owner.
I feel I do very well formyself in my own right.
I feel I have a very prosperouslife in a very holistic way.
My husband and I have beentogether for 27 years.
We're still very much, much inlove and we own this beautiful
(05:05):
14 acres of land where I garden, where we have meandering paths
and there's so much spaciousnessand freedom and herbs, wild
herbs that grow, plants thatgrow everywhere in the summer,
and it's very peaceful and I'dsay joyful life.
It's very peaceful and I'd sayjoyful life.
(05:27):
You know, we have our daughter, who's healthy, and we found a
beautiful balance with a, with akind of a country school and
and just having her in a schoolenvironment, but in a way that
works for us.
And I want to speak on authenticsuccess because today I was
really thinking about who I was15 years ago, which is really
where my journey started, when Iwas living in the city and I
(05:51):
was just 30.
So, gosh, I mean, maybe it'seven longer now.
I always revert back to I'vebeen doing this for 14 years,
but my daughter's 15.
Yeah, I guess I get into 15, 16years living in the city and
just not happy.
I'd been there for 13 years.
I had been a professionalmakeup artist for like 13 years
(06:13):
there and city life was reallywearing on me and I was starting
to dabble in the healing arts.
I was always very naturallyminded right, always looking for
natural healing solutions.
Always, even as a makeup artist, believe it or not, it was
always about natural productsand natural looking makeup and
(06:35):
pulling out a woman's naturalessence.
And so I had this call right.
And we knew that back home therewas mentions of an acreage that
was sitting empty, and so whenmy daughter was born, I felt
this pull to reinvent my lifeand to really become an embodied
(07:00):
version of the woman who feltdeeply nourished and alive and
free in her purpose.
And don't get me wrong, thereare times in the evolution of
the coaching industry where itreally became about money, about
the $200,000 a year.
I mean I have a very healthysix-figure plus business.
(07:22):
Sometimes it's much more thanthat and sometimes it's a little
less, depending on the year, but it's healthy and it feels
good and spacious and it flows.
I'm in a place now where I'mgoing to take on another income
stream and I can do that and itfeels good and that is
definitely another thing I wasfeeling really grateful for.
(07:44):
But this idea of authenticsuccess I was really dropping
into today, because it's easy toget caught up in all of the
things that we should be doingor who we should be in order to
have success.
But authentic success is adeeper level of nourishment and
(08:05):
it's really about creating alife that's in alignment with
our values, our deeper desiresas women, our deeper needs as
women.
Right, can you live from adeeply embodied, present and
nourished place?
Right, are you living from aplace where you feel fulfilled,
full from the inside?
Right, for most women, theycrave spaciousness.
(08:31):
That is something that I havecultivated in my life to a T.
Right, and I'm still able toserve and experience prosperity.
That rhymed, and I want thisfor every woman because I think
that that's our birthright.
That's how we're designed tocreate and to lead and to flow
(08:52):
and to flourish.
It's really built into us.
We need to be able to peel backthe layers of the illusion of
the matrix of society, of a morehyper-masculinized way of doing
things that has led to adisconnect from our bodies, from
our natural way of being right, and so we need to come into
spaces of presence andconnection and honor in order to
(09:15):
reclaim that.
In order to reclaim that andthe womb is a very intrinsic
part of that reclamation it's adeeper part.
It's a part that when we startto sink into the womb, we're
coming home to more of ourfeminine embodiment.
A lot of people talk aboutembodiment now, which really is
the bridging of our divinitywith our humanity.
(09:38):
When our divinity actuallypermeates us at a cellular level
, when we're moving past anduntangling layers of trauma in
the tissues and in the cells, right we inhabit more of our
divinity.
We inhabit more love, more flow.
Right, that sparkle, thatenergy, that vitality returns,
and we come from a history oftrauma on the planet.
(10:00):
A lot of us have generationaltrauma where we disconnect, we
numb out, there's no flow, ourdivinity can't occupy our bodies
, we're not embodied, and so Iknow a lot of people have a lot
of different ideas about that, and this is work I've done for
the last 14 years is helpingwomen move through life
transformation in order tobecome more fully embodied in
(10:22):
the truth of who they are andwho they're being called to be.
They inhabit their bodies froma place of purpose, fulfillment,
grace, ease.
So I want to think about both.
I want to think about yourdesires for authentic success
(10:44):
and bringing that back to thisgratitude that I had this
morning.
I was really taken by itbecause I'm also.
One of my passions is natureand coming into that beautiful
relationship with Mother Earth, right With us, walking our
(11:08):
sacred path and having MotherEarth as an ally and absolutely
partnering with the divine.
But the mother, the way sheholds us, the way she holds us.
And I was looking around and Iwas looking at my yoni steams
that are all packaged up and allthe herbs in there and all my
like bags of herbs sitting allover the floor and my tinctures
(11:28):
and my Egyptian anointing oils,my flower essences, my gem
essences, and I was just like, and then, as I sat here, it's
very cold.
Here in Northern Canada it'sminus 32, feels like minus 40
this morning it's very cold, like the buses are canceled.
I can't put my dogs outside formore than probably four minutes
(11:51):
before they're at risk offrostbite on their little paws.
It's cold, and I was sittinghere and I was listening to a
bird chirp.
I'm not exactly sure which birdit is.
We do have a few birds that arebuilt for this climate.
(12:11):
It's usually, I would guessit's probably a sparrow.
We definitely have the ravensright, and the magpies they
stick around at winter still isamazing and chickadees.
That wasn't a chickadee, though, but I just sat there in awe of
the miracle of it all, of ourability to dream, to create, to
(12:34):
have a desire right, and howoften, if we're not paying
attention, we miss the beauty ofwhat we've created.
And also, in that moment Ithought back.
I'm like that was all I wanted.
I really wanted that peace.
(12:55):
You know, I also come from achildhood that was full of
trauma, full of trauma, full oftrauma, and so being able to
find this level of peace in mylife is truly a gift.
(13:15):
You know, I come from a placewhere I had and bless his heart
my father has done a lot of work.
He's 22, 25 years, sober now,but as a young man he was
terribly not well, unwell andsuffered from mental illness,
and he drank a lot and he was anabusive alcoholic.
(13:37):
So I watched a lot of abuse inmy home with my mom and I
watched my mom move around a lot.
We left home when I was fiveand she moved around a lot.
I think we moved eight times bythe time I was in grade nine.
You know just differentrelationships and I'd move here
and there and and she did end upremarrying.
(14:01):
And then um, and then that uhman there, um, there was.
You know I had some sexualtrauma from him being in the
home that I had to repair fromand it was a lot, there's a lot.
By the time I left home I wasvery numb, very disconnected,
(14:23):
very, um, very traumatizedreally by all of it and the
survival mechanisms that I hadto use to really pull myself
through that.
Right around the time that Iwas leaving home my mom was also
diagnosed with schizophrenia.
She was suicidal.
(14:43):
So doing that journey with herat a very, very young age, after
, you know, a lot, a lot ofupheaval and I'm only sharing
this because of what is possible, you know and I know that for
me at around the age of 21, 22,I was so determined I'm like I
can heal myself.
I knew that I was a fraction ofthe person that I was meant to
(15:08):
be.
At that time I was very hurt andhad a lot to process and move
through from my experience ofchildhood, as do many women, as
do many people, and we can wecan heal through it.
And I just remember being 21and knowing that I was going to
(15:31):
do the journey where I wouldheal myself, that I would find
my purpose, that I wouldexperience health and wholeness
and happiness, and I mean thatwas a dream at that point, right
, and so it was.
Like you know, I mean even if Ithink of that, that was a dream
at that point always to to livemy purpose there.
I knew there was somethinggreater.
I wanted to give and be and do,but more than anything I wanted
(15:54):
just to feel healthy and happyand whole, and I know that
that's a dream for a lot ofwomen, and I think that we need
to pay more attention to theauthentic dreams, the dreams for
nourishment, right, the dreamsfor wholeness, for happiness,
for embodiment.
There's so much that comes fromthat place when we can actually
(16:16):
integrate and hold that really, truly, and I have learned that
you don't really want success ifit's not from that place
anyways.
So being able to come from thisplace, it is the foundation
that all of life can flourishfrom.
It's really where we start toopen up to our success, we start
(16:37):
to open up to greaterleadership, to greater
opportunities, we start to wantto hold and call in more money
for ourselves.
And it comes from a much deeper, integrated place of wholeness,
which I believe is it'sholistic, feminine prosperity.
And so a part of holisticfeminine prosperity is, you know
(17:00):
, always going deeper with theevolution of our purpose, always
going deeper with the level ofintegrated nourishment that
we're able to hold in oursystems.
And that's where, you know, clearing out the trauma becomes
an important part.
That's an important part of thework that I do.
I work specifically with my ownmethod, the Flower of Life
(17:21):
Akashic Healing Method, and it'smuch different than being an
Akashic record reader.
It's a much more of a deep kindof shamanic, guided way of
helping women tap into theirpower, while releasing trauma
patterns and then looking at howto integrate and hold deeper
levels of nourishment.
You know, a lot of that is verymuch connected to the mother
(17:44):
wound, to the womb space.
So here's my invitation as wejourney into the spring solstice
, as we attune to the rhythms ofthe mother for our own
evolution and our own healing.
And I want to say that way backwhen, when I had a lot of trauma
, I remember finding ChristianNorthrup's book Women's Bodies,
(18:05):
women's Wisdom.
That was rare back then, like, keep in mind, this is 28 years
ago.
Rare back then, like, keep inmind, this is 28 years ago,
maybe 29 years ago.
And I found that book and inthat book was working with the
moon cycles and our bleed andthere was just something in
there for me.
(18:25):
I just there was something inthere for me.
I just knew that if I couldattune to my own seasons and
cycles, I could find my way backhome to me.
And I remember it was a feelingand I just knew it.
And that's what I did.
And I started attuning to mycycles and every time, the week
before my period I would havePMS, there'd be a layer that
(18:48):
would bubble up of pain, of hurt, of anger, of anger,
frustration, of sadness, and Iwould be with it.
I would dance it out, I wouldjournal it out, I would draw it
out, I would be with it and thenI would take the new moon and I
would start to go deeper inconnection and listening and
really understanding who I wasbeing called to be there.
There's so much wisdom in therhythms, like there's so much
(19:12):
deep wisdom in the rhythms, right, and as women we need to
be able to come to those rhythms, to the mother, and to tune to
it and to trust it and to allowit to guide us into more of our
healing, our wholeness and ourevolution.
So as we approach spring, equinox, we're going to feel the
(19:38):
wheel of the year turn, and youdo, and oftentimes we feel a
little heavy, a little dense,because we've done a season.
Now We've done a season andwe've accumulated energetic
density in our field because ofthe experiences that we've had.
So the seasonal wheel of theyear becomes a portal that
allows us to process and release, digest and to let go of, kind
(20:03):
of, just like the premenstrualperiod right, what's coming up?
What's ready to be released?
Right, what were the lessonsfrom the last cycle?
How can I cleanse and clear mysystem?
How can I prepare for where theevolution is?
Right and that's the gift of thechanging seasons, especially
(20:24):
right at that portal, is that wecan open up and become ready
for clarity.
Right, we can open up andbecome ready for clarity, and
there is medicine in that place.
Who are we being called to betruly, deeply, beyond the, I
want to say, beyond therazzmatazz of all the noise
(20:45):
that's out there, our deepertruth, our deeper clarity, and
so one, clearing out theenergetic debris right, clearing
out the energetic debris, letting go of the layers that
don't serve us, untangling somelayers of deeper trauma so that
deeper healing can start tointegrate, so that we can start
to make space for deeper levelsof nourishment for who we're
(21:09):
being called to be right For ourholistic health, for our
holistic happiness, ourprosperity, our embodiment.
Right.
It's the invitation into moreof what you deeply want, more of
(21:29):
what you deeply want, want moreof what you deeply want, more
of what you deeply need.
The need speaks so specificallyto nourishment.
How do you want to receive life?
How do you want to feedyourself?
Where's your capacity for joy?
Like how good can you let lifebe for joy?
(21:51):
Like, how good can you let lifebe?
Like that's an edge and thatthere's an edge of?
There's an edge of trauma rightin that place?
How good can you let life beRight?
We are constantly, when we healthe mother wound, healing the
edges of how deeply we allowourselves to be nourished by
life.
Right when we think about ourmothers, when we think about
(22:12):
untangling ourselves from thehyper-masculinized society of
push, go, do hustle.
It just creates disconnect, itcreates malnourishment.
It creates malnourishment.
But look at the mother whenshe's healthy.
Look at nature she's full, she's alive, she's vibrant.
Nature she's full, she's alive,she's vibrant, she's in tune
(22:36):
with her cycles.
There's a trust, right Like Ilook at my apple blossom tree,
my apple, my crab apple tree, Ilove that tree, to me she's the
mother presence in my yard.
I make flower essences with her.
Every year, when I'm done myyoni herbal steam, I go and I
pour it out at her base and Ithank her and I get back to her
and I feed her.
But I watch her and the reasonI'm so grateful for her is
(22:58):
because she represents so manystages of life and fruition and
I can trust that.
We can trust that when we'renourished, when we're in the
flow, when we understand how tooperate from that place and
maintain and hold boundaries inthat place, we can trust
(23:19):
ourselves.
We can trust ourselves to ebband flow.
We can trust in the reciprocityof prosperity of life.
We can grow, we can flourish,we can evolve and it's all there
for us, right when we trustourselves, when we trust the
mother to lead.
(23:46):
I'm going to leave it at this.
I really hope you've enjoyedthis channel transmission.
I'm going to make an invitationI right now, this month well, I
have three spots left, I think, and I'll see.
Maybe I can open more.
I'm rebranding some parts of mywork.
(24:07):
I'm actually closing theAkashic Women's School, which
I've had for the last four orfive years, and I'm kind of
simply rebranding now under myname, under my brand, and I'm
reworking my Feminine Prosperity, akashic Activation and
Clearing Sessions and I amincluding some goodies now and
also so these spots are 50% off.
(24:29):
If you're in Canada, you canpay Canadian prices.
If you're in the US, you canpay US prices 50% off.
So they're regular 555 USD, butI'm switching up some of my
pricing.
Right now you can get it 50%off 275.
You can come in and work with me.
We can go deep into thisrecalibration, untangling these
(24:50):
layers of trauma still sittingin the body, in the womb, at the
cellular level, at thesubconscious level.
Clear and untangle it, move itall out, start to feel into who
you're being called to be andstart to look at how to
integrate deeper levels ofnourishment to build your
(25:12):
vibrational capacity forprosperity.
All right, so if that speaks toyou, email me Tara at
TaraPrestoncom.
Reach out to me on Facebook.
Oh, the goodies.
And so here's how I'mrebranding it.
I actually haven't offeredthese sessions for quite a while
for years actually but I'mexcited to bring them back and
(25:34):
so the goodies that you get.
So there's this opportunity toreally journey with this work
and work with me for 21 dayswithin the scope of this package
.
We do the first hour to kick itall off.
Then I send you yoni herbalsteams to set up your yoni
(25:55):
herbal steaming practice, because we want to clear and
heal the womb and begin to dropyou into a deeper level of
embodiment and nourishment.
It was key to the womb.
You get a 21-day Akashic WombAwakening Journal.
You get my Flow Flower Essenceit's actually a gem and flower
(26:16):
essence.
Vibrational medicine to gentlyclear and untangle and clear and
untangle, but it actuallyvibrationally kind of releases
very gently trauma fromdifferent areas of the body, but
a lot from the womb space, sothat energy can start to open up
(26:37):
and move and flow, which isShakti, which is creative life
force, energy, which is thesource and substance of
prosperity.
We get that moving and flowingso that you can do less and
start to create from that placeand receive more with more ease.
What else do you get?
You get a Yoni herbal steamingPDF.
(26:59):
And so these are the pieces, the physical pieces, that I send
you so that you can, for 21days, just rest into this
container of deep healing andrecalibration.
And I'm just playing aroundwith this, looking at how I want
to structure it and I'm lookingfor testimonials after this.
21 days, maybe 21 days, 30 dayskind of container, and right now
(27:22):
you can get that for $2.75.
$2.75.
So I think the next few spotsI'm going to keep it at 275.
And I'm actually feeling like Imight raise it to 350 after
those spots are gone.
If that speaks to you, email me.
I also have the opportunity towork with me for three month
intervals now through myNourished Mama three month
(27:45):
program.
You can ask me about that.
I'm opening up spots officiallyfor that.
And join me in the new Facebookgroup.
Come and share your nuggets, your insights.
I would love to hear how thistouched you, sending you so much
love.
I will talk to you all verysoon.
Bye for now.
