Our guest is more than a blank filler. He's worked with Elton and also with Bernie Taupin on his first spoken word album, with Plastic Penny, and Hookfoot. He confesses that when he recorded one Hookfoot track – a cover of Rolling Stones’ folk song Gimme Shelter – he missed the first note from Caleb Quaye, and he reveals what Elton was like before he was famous. Terry Carty added "more audience" to Elton's first-ever live album 17-11-70.
Recorded 15 February 2024.
