Based on true events and the life-changing work of artist Anna Ladd, Copper Angel begins as Anna is thrust from the comfort of her Boston home and into the middle of WWI. Initially overwhelmed by the horrors of war, she soon discovers how her abilities as a sculptor can bring hope and healing to injured soldiers scarred by the conflict. Copper Angel delves into both the physical and mental traumas of battle, the struggle to find and fight for one’s place and, ultimately, the hope and strength that can be found even in the direst of circumstances.
