Hospital Foundation. The families are doing it tough with their
kids are in hospital that much needed treatment.

Big Josh Papai here gro.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Papa, Hey, Nick, thanks for having us.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
On, Thanks for being on mate, and like just quickly
mate before we get a little bit deep there. Look,
you know we are both parents, especially yourself, we've got
young kids. When the kids wake up with the flu,
it's heartbreaking. I can't imagine what it would be like
if your kid has to child has to go to
hospital for for a deeper treatment.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah. No, you're definitely right. You know, you never want
to wish it on your first enemies, and you know,
especially when it comes to our kids, it's you know,
it's just sickening. But in saying that, you know there's
support out there, there's loved ones that are there to help.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
And yeah, and like you doing tonight, he's a.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Raising money for great charities and you know they're there
to help.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yeah, And it's been going great guns too, of course,
that doing their part. And you've seen you've been in
Canberra for a long long time now, you've been here
for more than ten years now, and you see how
the community in Canberra really really warms when it comes
to these charities that must be really impressive. Of course,
coming from Queensland and whatnot and seeing how act is,
we know how it reacts community wise.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah, of course, you know, it's one of the reasons
why I love being in Canberra.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
You know, I consider myself a Camberian now and you know.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I just love how the community and the people just
get behind great charities. You know, I'm involved in Ambassador
for for Wind the Day which help with bread cancer
itself and they help families and compatients just try and
get through.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Those tough times. And yeah, no doubt the Campians.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Will support any charity that helps young children, you know,
adults and families all together.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Absolutely, And you mentioned about being a compassionate Camberan. Now
this money being raised allows the families to stay in
Canberra to get those treatments local without having to move
into state to those bigger cities.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yeah, that's so I've known families that they've had to
travel to Sydney or they've had to come to Camber
and seeing Camber and you know the cost of living
has gone up and it's sad to see that.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
You know, some people actually struggle. But you know with
great charities like tonight, you know, raising money to help
families that are.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Struggling and patients that are struggling. It's just good to see.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
The community and Canberra altogether come through and and just
lending their helping hand.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Papa.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Great news the other day with Trey Mourney signing on
for three more seasons.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Yeah, such good news for the Camberians and also the
Raiders fans with the signing on Tray Mooney.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Such a a young were of course coming through the
grades at the moment and just good to see us hard.
We're being paid off with another three years to the
name and you know that that's on.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
He's just going to pay dividends to how hard he works.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
And just to play his huge injection.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Of course, he's a Sydney boy and he had a
multiple offers from other Sydney clubs, but to stay in Canberra,
that's a huge injection for you guys. But also to
attract you know, it plays in the future as well,
coming to camera.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
You know he's obviously from Liverpool somewhere up there.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
And yeah, yeah, for Trey Mooney.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
To sign on three more years with the you know, the.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Camber Raider is just obviously showing how we recruit at
the Raiders and who we're trying to capture as well.
And you know that he's going to be joined with
another young group you know that's coming through the Raiders
with you know, likes of Utter and Ethan.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Strains and uh, you.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Know, these kids are going to be the Canberratus of
the next ten years and it's just awesome to see.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yeah, every time I mentioned about the future crop to you, Papa,
you always say Tray first.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
You must be top of mind for yourself. What is Trey?
What's his best attribute to the Riders? You reckon?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah, I think the attitude of a young man. You know,
you know, good people make a good club and Tray
Mooney is definitely.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Uh, you know that person you can build a club around.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Now, Papa, you had the captains run this morning, big
game against the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
How did everyone pull up?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yeah, everyone pulled up sweet Nick, everyone's you know, really
just ready to go and hopefully, you.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Know, get get the two points against the Cowboys. They've
got a few Origin players backing up and you know
it's just good to.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Go out to improve a point and hopefully get the
the win in front of our home crowd.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Now, pups. Unfortunately we haven't got the w in the
last two home games.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Are We lost against the Rusters and of course got
touched up a little bit against the Sharkies. Has that
been mentioned at all at all as Ricky brought that
up at all during the week.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, if you know Ricky Stewart, he's you know, Canberra
through and through, and you know, definitely got to mention
about just making our home ground our fortress.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
And you know we haven't had you know, obviously.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
The role of the Green lately at home, but you
know that can all change in one performance and hopefully
that's tomorrow night.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Papa, is a big game tomorrow. How are you How
are we looking?
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah? Massive game tomorrow And Nick I heard there was
rumors though going around that you're getting a tattooed tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Rumors about a tattoo. You must be listening to the
radio station then.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
I've been switched on and yeah, there's weird going around that.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
You're getting a tattooed tomorrow. I just want to confirm that.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yes, well, perfect segue.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Now, Danny Levy, your fellow hooker for your club, it
was here on Monday and we presented it to him.
So what happened is the camber Rap teams put together
their own tattoos, which you can purchase at Celebrity and
can get it inked on you if you like. They're
five x five's fifty dollars they are, which is a bark,
and then five dollars of that fifty goes to charity.
Of course, forgive me five and pups. Everyone has been
(06:25):
telling me you should get it, you should get it,
you should get it. Why don't you have it? I
went to three cafes yesterday and they said to me,
when are getting that tatoo?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
And I was slowly, slowly warming.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
To it, slowly warming to it, and I've thought to myself,
someone should get it, and it may as well be me.
So three pm tomorrow at Celebrity, Bill Connen, I'm on
the chair my inner bicep. Pups, I mean, you're a
tatoo man, you know what it's all about. I'm getting
up the milk to immortalize the beautiful club that you
play for.

which became so famous, why not, mate, why not?
Speaker 4 (07:14):
I exactly right?
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Hopefully hopefully we're getting into the tab right next to
it at the end of the year.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Well, if we get a tattoo, mate, I'll be shouting
everyone so you win, it's that premiership and we'll get
that premiership tattoo for twenty twenty or four thirty years later.
