(00:00):
What comes up for me is when I'mfeeling unsure, I start to
(00:03):
overcomplicate things.
I'm like, Ooh, let me justdesign a whole complicated
funnel, or let me just do thiswhole launch plan that I'm going
to sit and plan and neveractually implement.
So this is like my, has been mypersonal work to lean into the
doing less philosophy and reallyjust focusing on that 20% that's
going to drive 80% of theresults, so if you feel like
this is me, I'm so overwhelmed,I'm paralyzed, indecision,
(00:26):
there's so many things I coulddo that I just dunno what to do.
I'm gonna give you just a fewpractical steps to declutter and
realign yourself with what isactually going to work well for
you.
Welcome to the Raising YourBusiness Podcast.

Marketing simplicity, and themindset of A CEO, mom.
(01:09):
Now let's dive in.
Hey, welcome back to thepodcast, and I'm really excited
about today's episode.
I say this every single week,but I don't know why I'd be
creating episodes I'm notexcited about.
So I guess that's a good thing.
(01:31):
I wanna do unpack a kind of anuanced challenge that many
seasoned entrepreneurs face,which is saturation.
And I don't mean marketsaturation.
But brain saturation.
Okay, so if you've achievedmilestones, right?
You've grown your business,you've gotten clients, you've
navigated all these differentlike complexities of
(01:52):
entrepreneurship and differentstages of growth.
And despite all theseaccomplishments, right?
You've had wins, you've hadsuccess, but there's this
lingering sense of overwhelm.
I'm going to.
Submit that it's not from a lackof knowledge.
I don't know enough.
I don't know enough of what todo, but from an excess of
(02:13):
knowledge, and this episode isgonna be all about recognizing
that you are not stuck due toincompetence or a lack of
knowledge, or you're just notgood enough.
You are actually just saturatedfor consuming too much
information, which can lead to.
Decision fatigue andmisalignment because you're
tapping into other people'sauthority instead of trusting
your own.
(02:34):
So I wanna explore in thisepisode how to declutter your
mental space and realign withyour core values and create a
business and a business modelthat actually resonates with
your evolved self.
Not the newbie who's I've justgotta learn new stuff all the
time.
But the person who's learned, who knows things, who knows,
who's tried enough things toknow, like what works for her.
Or what doesn't work for her andis really just ready for very
(02:57):
customized targeted action stepsand coaching support.
Okay.
And before we dive deeper, justa quick note, your momentum era,
if you're listening to this,we've already started.
Okay.
It's a three week program that'sdesigned for mom entrepreneurs
who are ready to recalibratetheir business strategies.
Getting back to the basics ofwho they are tapping into that,
(03:19):
that early entrepreneur excitedenergy, but with the knowledge
and the wisdom of your evolvedupleveled entrepreneur self.
And we started this week, Ibelieve, if the episode is going
out the right time, and this isan audio led.
Coaching reset that is gonna beoffering you practical tools to
(03:39):
align your business with yourcurrent season of life.
Taking what used to work, letting go of what doesn't work
anymore, and really justfiguring out what to hold onto
and what to let go of and whatto declutter in your business.
So if you are seeking clarityand alignment in the second half
of the year, then this programis perfect for you.
Okay, let's talk aboutsaturation.
Alright, so saturation happenswhen the accumulation of
(04:03):
strategies and the advice andmethodologies and content
becomes counterproductive,right?
It's this kind of paradox ofchoice, which is like the too
many options that lead toparalysis.
If you feel like paraic, I dunnowhat to do, I wanna post
something, but I don't know whatto post.
I don't know what to talk about.
This is a symptom of.
Saturation.
So consider these types ofscenarios, right?
(04:26):
You might have multiple coursesand resources, but you struggle
to implement any of them.
'cause you're always like, Ooh,maybe I'll do this.
I'll do this content strategy,or I'll do this launch plan.
But then you find another one inyour content library that's
better and you're like, Ooh,maybe I'll just try this one
instead.
Maybe your content calendar isfull, but.
The engagement and sales feeloff.
They just don't feel like, you're not really get making
sales from your content.
You're not really making salesthe same way you used to, or
(04:47):
maybe you're just constantlytweaking your offers or your
funnels.
Seeking that elusive perfect, inquotes strategy.
And this is not gonna be areflection of your capabilities
because you are so capable andyou are so good at what you do.
But it's just an indication thatit is time to filter and focus
on what really is going to workfor you.
And I love I've loved this bookfor a very long time.
(05:11):
Kate Northrop's do Less book, which is very much about
emphasizing intentionality overbusyness.
And in her book she talks abouta lot of different things.
That's where I was introduced tothe idea of cyclical living and
cyclical planning, especially asa woman who who has a cycle,
although.
Honestly, to be honest I'm stillnursing and I'm postpartum, so I
do not have the regular kind ofcycle.
(05:32):
But she talks about, thedifferent types of, of tasks
that make the most sense fordifferent stages of your cycle
throughout the month.
And aligning your tasks withyour natural energy cycles, with
your menstrual cycles with yourdaily cycles even can enhance
your productivity.
And also just like your mentalwellbeing.
And I talk about this when Italk about your internal
(05:53):
external time task match, right?
When I talk about trying toalign the types of tasks you're
doing with.
The time of day with what you'recurrently doing physically and
also where, how much mentalenergy you have.
She also talks about energymanagement, right?
So prioritizing activities thatenergize you and delegating or
eliminating the ones that drainyou.
(06:13):
For example, this is for me, Ijust hired a virtual assistant.
She's she's fantastic.
I love her.
One of my favorite things thatshe does for me is takes my
carousels and designs them Forme, that took so much mental
energy for me and I found that Ijust wasn't posting because I
just didn't have the energy tocreate.
The carousel, even if I tried tokeep it as simple as possible, I
still wanted it to look nice, and even if it wasn't looking
(06:35):
like the perfect brandedperfection.
I just was pushing off, likeputting out content because I
just didn't enjoy design, butshe's good at design, so this
works out really well for me.
I get to stay into, in my zoneof genius, which is writing
content, and she gets to be inher zone of genius, which is
design and tech, right?
And also the aspect ofEssentialism and the Pato
(06:56):
principle, which she talksabout, the 80 20 rule, which I
really truly do believe focusingon that 20% that drives 80% of
the results.
Rather than trivial busy worksort of tasks.
And when you're integratingthese kinds of principles in
your business, you can createthat sustainable business model
that honors your per personalrhythms, your family rhythms,
(07:17):
your responsibilities.
And I've really tried to embracethis as much as possible because
my.
A red flag, so to speak.
I mentioned this in the previousepisode.
What what comes up for me iswhen I'm feeling un unsure, I
start to overcomplicate things.
I'm like, Ooh, let me justdesign a whole complicated
funnel, or let me just do thiswhole launch plan that I'm going
to sit and plan and neveractually implement.
(07:39):
So this is like my, has been mypersonal work to lean into the
doing less philosophy and reallyjust focusing on that 20% that's
going to drive 80% of theresults, so I just wanna give
you a few practical steps.
If you feel like this is me, I'mso overwhelmed, I'm paralyzed,
indecision, there's so manythings I could do that I just
dunno what to do.
(07:59):
I'm gonna give you just a fewpractical steps to declutter and
realign yourself with what isactually going to work well for
you.
But before I do that, I justwant to talk about the Fertile
Void.
And Kate talk talks about thisin her book as well.
And I just wanted to bring thisup because very often we fill
(08:22):
our time with just doing stuff, right?
It's like I don't know what todo, so I'll just do things
right.
So I'll scroll or I'll Google orread a book or rebuild a sales
page or play around in Canva.
When she talks about what shecalls the fertile void, this is
the sacred pause between doingand birthing something new.
And I know for me personally,it's very hard for me to just
sit and let things be and justthink without filling my time
(08:44):
with a training or a podcast ormusic or work.
But the truth is that.
Your best ideas are gonna comefrom rest, right?
That time that you weren'ttrying so hard, that moment in
the shower, and you have anamazing idea, that random dream
you had in the middle of thenight and you woke up and wrote
something down that youcompletely could not understand.
The next morning when you lookedat your notepad or your notes
app that walk with the baby inthe stroller and in your
(09:09):
momentum era.
I'm going to be showing you howto find that white space and
giving you permission to buildin that white space into your
life.
So your next move doesn't comefrom pressure, but it comes from
power.
Okay?
So that is when I'm telling youthese things, I want you to
remember that, when I'm givingyou these tips and these just a
(09:29):
few ideas to help you take apause and realign.
I want you to do it from thisperspective, right?
Taking a step back and pausingis actually giving you space to
grow.
Alright, so instead of grabbinganother course or just going
straight into what's next?
Relaunch.
Let's do something, lemme justdo something to create momentum.
(09:51):
I want you to be able to pauseand create momentum from a place
of intention.
Okay?
So here are a few practicalsteps to declutter and realign
yourself in your business.
If you're feeling saturated andlike you just know too much,
okay?
The first thing I want you to dois audit your commitments.
Alright?
(10:11):
Audit your business.
What are your currentcommitments in your business?
What offers do you have?
And.
Banana and I want you to make alist of everything that you're
doing, right?
Offers and funnels, and contentplans.
And I want you to look at everysingle one and ask, is this
(10:33):
aligned with where I'm going orwhere I've been, right?
Is this, does this align withthe person that I wanna be, the
person that I want to embody, orthe person that I used to be and
maybe am not anymore, right?
And you might, you might noticethat.
You are just doing things out ofdefault to an extent, and not
necessarily because they'reactually serving you right now.
(10:56):
Okay.
And the problem when you knowtoo much is that you tend to
jump from strategy to strategy.
And you're like, oh, I could trythis.
I could try that.
I could try ads.
I could try this funnel.
I could try that funnel insteadof actually thinking about what
funnel actually serves me, whatactually makes sense for my
business.
Do I wanna run ads?
What kind of ads should I evenrun?
Are you even thinking about thator are you just saying, oh, this
looks really cool, this person'smaking a hundred KA month, doing
(11:17):
that thing.
I should do that that's thefirst thing.
Audit your business, audit yourcurrent commitments and see
where you may not be doingthings that are aligned with the
person that you want to embodyright now.
The second thing I want you todo is unsubscribe.
Alright?
Not from everybody but unfollow, unsubscribe, create space.
If someone confuses you, mutethem.
(11:41):
If they trigger spirals, and Iguess I'm just not as good as
them.
And why will I never be as goodas them?
Or why are they so much furtherahead than me if you're, and I
know that this has happened tome too.
And I was, I actually spoke to afriend of mine who we started in
the online virtual assistantspace at the same time.
And then I continued on down theservice based path and she
continued down the core spacepath.
(12:02):
And it was funny because wespoke a few years later and I
was like, wow, I kinda wish I'dgone down the course.
Path earlier.
And she was like, yeah, rightnow I'm wishing I could just
have a local business marketingagency and like just put the
whole course thing down, right?
So pe you might be looking atother people being like, we
start at the same time.
Why do they seem further aheadthan me?
First of all, you don't knoweverything.
(12:24):
And second of all, if they aregiving you that feeling of I'm
not enough, or why can't I bethere, right?
And you find that it's notserving you, it's not actually,
amping you up and giving you areason to take more action and
go further and do more than ununfollow them.
Unfollow them for now, or mutethem, whatever.
If unfollowing them is gonnacause drama, then don't cause
drama, but mute them so youcan't see what they're posting.
(12:46):
Unsubscribe from their emaillist or have it go straight to
trash or whatever, or protectyour brain.
Alright, protect your brain.
It's your most important asset, honestly, because if your brain
is scrambled with all kinds ofimposter syndrome and thoughts
that are not serving you, andbeliefs that are not serving
you, you are not gonna able totake action.
Alright?
That is not a place to takeaction from.
(13:07):
The next thing I'm gonnarecommend is picking one focus
for one month.
Okay.
30 days.
One focus, one offer, onestrategy, one platform and give
it space to actually work andsee what happens.
Alright.
And again, I know this is hardto do sometimes and I, it's
funny'cause I have somethingcoming up.
I have a crazy really excitingbirthday month coming up in June
(13:28):
and and I'm gonna be doing a lotof stuff.
Alright.
And you'd be like, I thoughtshould stop and focus.
Yes.
May is my focusing month.
Okay.
I'm very head down in May.
I'm delivering a momentum eraand I'm creating a, an asset
behind the scenes.
That's pretty much all I'mdoing.
Alright.
I might be promoting you hereand there.
I'll be, I might have a coupleof spaces for intensives and
things like that, but like, whenit comes down to like actual
(13:50):
launch and promotion focus.
I am focusing very hard on onevery specific thing.
Okay.
And the important thing toremember is that this is not
forever, right?
I just wonder what would happenif, let's say you were like, I'm
gonna talk about this one offerfor six weeks, right?
This one high ticket offer, thisone service, and nothing else.
(14:11):
I'm gonna just think about allthe different ways I can talk
about this, offer all differentangles I can take, I promise you
like.
And I was launching my CO onMastermind like last month.
Like I still have stacks andstacks of content ideas to sell
this mastermind.
Like I'm not lacking any contentideas to sell this mastermind.
Okay?
But when it comes down to it,like you will find that when you
(14:34):
really dig into your offer andwhen you reconnect to your
offer, that's what I wouldrecommend you do if you're
focusing on selling one offer.
Okay.
I really encourage you to sitdown and we're gonna be doing
this in your momentum era to sitdown and reconnect to that
offer, to the story of thatoffer.
Why did you create it in thefirst place, right?
Why does it light you up?
(14:54):
Why are you selling it?
Why do you wanna sell it?
Because not just, it's probablynot just money, right?
Because if it was just money, there's probably so many things
you could sell that would makeyou money.
So why are you choosing to sellthis thing?
What does it do for you?
What does it do for your idealclient?
Where are they gonna be?
And that's what I want you tothink about, like when you
reconnect to that offer.
(15:16):
I really find that when I justtake the time to sit and think
about that is where so many ofmy content ideas come from.
The stories of my offer, thestories of my clients in that
offer, right?
There's so much, but we're justlike, oh my God.
Let me think of like fun hooks.
Yeah, hooks are cool, angles arecool, but and I teach this in
my, in my Momentum roadmapcourse, right?
(15:37):
I'm, when I talk about launchingand, your content brainstorm
around your offer, likereconnecting to your offer, the
logistics of your offer.
Why is it the way it is?
Why did you create it in thefirst place?
Who is it for?
Why is it so important for thatperson?
Like when you really reconnectto it and you're not just like
doing it, like by default I belike, oh, let me see my launch
stuff last time.
Oh, it did.
Nothing really converted.
I should probably just take somelaunch email templates and plug
(15:58):
them into the chat.
GPT, no, I tried that.
It did not work.
Because if you don't feelconnected to your offer, you are
not gonna have energy andexcitement around your offer.
And if you're gonna be sellingsomething for six weeks, you
better have energy andexcitement around that offer,
otherwise you will not be ableto sell it for six weeks.
So I really encourage you to sitand think about what you wanna
sell and sit down and reallyreconnect to that offer.
(16:22):
Like date it, get to know itagain.
Like why did I like you so much?
And.
Give it that space.
Give it that space to work.
And the last thing I would saywhich I think is gonna be so
important for you, and I knowthis is easier said than done as
a mother, I know Schedule whitespace into your week.
(16:44):
And I remember my friend AnnaRapp she used to call it gold
space.
Because sometimes like you havegold space, which is like when
you're not completely alone andyou are not completely like.
In your own head, but so youhave kids around or you're
taking a walk, or maybe you'redriving in the car or whatever,
right?
Laundry doesn't count unless youfind that laundry just makes you
meditative and just inspires allkind of ideas, which does happen
(17:04):
for me sometimes, but I'mtalking CEO clarity walks.
Okay?
Journaling with some ice coffeejust sitting at the table and
journaling, right?
Instead of diving straight intowork once a week or once a day
or early in the morning or whileyou're nursing your baby.
Sit and journal instead.
Or while you're having yourmorning coffee, sit and just
give yourself space to think.
(17:24):
Do not connect the chat.
GBT.
Do not connect.
Connect to your computer.
Do not start scrollingInstagram.
Do this before you startscrolling Instagram, because
give your brain time to justpercolate and clear up.
And.
I really honestly think, likethis is what I do whenever I
feel oversaturated withinformation, is I just really, I
start unfollowing people.
I put myself in a content fast.
(17:45):
I'm like, I'm not gonna consumeother people's content for a
week, two weeks.
I give myself, it's hard.
It's hard to do'cause I lovereading.
I love learning.
I'll be like, okay, for one weekI'm gonna just not consume
content.
I'm gonna create and not consumecontent.
But if you find that too hard, Irecommend you sit, you commit to
creating before you consume.
(18:05):
Okay.
And that white space is going togive you, this is gonna give you
the space, right?
The mental space to think aboutwhat you want to create.
Okay?
Just sitting and staring at aspace and doing absolutely
nothing productive for 30minutes.
That is where the real ideaslive.
Alright?
And again, a DHD here I'm notrelaxed unless I'm doing like 17
(18:27):
things at once.
Like literally it is, that iswhat comes naturally to me.
But I cannot tell you like whathas come from just sitting and
thinking and letting my mindjust wander.
Okay?
Like again, I know you're a mom,you're busy.
You have 758 tabs open in yourhead.
(18:49):
I know.
See if you can build in startbuilding in white space once a
week.
Book some time to do absolutelynothing productive.
Take a walk journal, sit andstare into space, sit in the
park and just listen to thebirds.
I don't know.
That is where the real creationand creativity and strategy can
come from.
So if your brain feels loud andyour business feels heavy, and
(19:11):
you feel like I just know toomuch, I have too many ideas,
there are too many strategies Icould do, you do not need
another new strategy.
You need a reset, and that iswhat your momentum era is about.
We are open right now.
We've already started.
If you're listening to this inreal time, it is audio based.
It is real life mom proof andit's built for the woman you are
now, right?
(19:32):
Not the survival mode versionyou probably were when you
started.
All right.
No fancy worksheets.
It's no fluff.
It's just clarity, action, andintentional momentum.
Okay?
