(00:00):
This is a really great time tofocus on audience growth.
(00:03):
So setting up ahead of time, collabs that you're part of and
that you can pre-schedule thepromotional posts and emails for
is a really good idea.
I did that during my maternityleave last summer.
I was part of Gemma BottomCarter's AI unlocked summit.
I was part of a bunch ofdifferent summits, a bunch of
different bundles, and they werevery easy.
If I looked at my promocalendar, I made sure, like none
of them were really overlapping.
(00:24):
I prescheduled emails, Iprescheduled content to go out
about them.
And I was able to grow myaudience and grow my list with
very like low lift investment onmy part Welcome to the Raising
Your Business Podcast.
I'm your host, Al Behan, founderof CEO Mom Academy, mom of Six
and Lifelong Reading addict.
This podcast is here to empowermoms to run their businesses and
(00:46):
lives like the powerhouse CEO.
They are.
I want you to believe that youcan have the business success
you desire.
And be present with your familyand to give you my best tips and
strategies for how to make thathappen.
I'll be sharing the honestreality of balancing business
and motherhood biz models thatwork for you.
Marketing simplicity, and themindset of A CEO, mom.
Now let's dive in.
(01:15):
Hello.
Hello.
Welcome back to the podcast, andlet's talk about summer.
So this episode is gonna be likea two-parter.
We're gonna do part one.
How to prep your business forsummer when you're still trying
to book yourself out, right?
You're still working on.
Getting fully booked or hitting, your first five, 5K, 10 k
months.
And then we're gonna do a secondpart.
(01:35):
If you're already at the, likefive, 10 K months, you already
booked out.
Maybe you already have someother streams of income or you
wanna build on some otherstreams of income and and what
to do then.
So it's gonna be like you haveto do two different, you gonna
have two kind of differentstrategies in a way when you
are, when you're doing this.
So I really wanted to make sureto give enough air time to each
(01:56):
one.
So we have summer upcoming.
It is currently may.
I have, oh my, I have mybirthday month coming up next
week.
We're gonna have to be doingsome really exciting things.
And then we have just prettymuch two to three months of
summer vacation and I call itvacation.
It's vacation for the children, not necessarily vacation for the
parents and.
(02:17):
The truth is you want to be apresent mom during the summer,
right?
Like I have my kids may or maynot be in camp.
Some of them will be in camp, some of them won't because my
oldest son really wants to workand make a lot of money'cause
he's in that frame of mine, which I'm, I fully endorse.
My middle kids are not superinto camp because they like
being outdoors, but they don'tlike being outdoors all day.
(02:38):
And that's what most of thecamps here are.
And then my daughter probablywill go to camp because she is
four.
And then we have the baby homewith me.
So I'm probably gonna be havinga few kids around at various
points throughout the summer.
I don't, I'm not gonna becompletely alone.
In fact, I'm never completelyalone'cause I have the baby and
and so I wanna be able to do funthings with them.
(02:58):
I wanna be able to be present.
We have a pool, a big intex poolwe set up every summer.
For the kids we wanna do maybesome camping.
We wanna do just some activitieswith them.
We have some home improvementsthat we're looking at doing.
We're looking at getting ourgarden just looking beautiful.
And we're doing some DIY thingsat home, so it's gonna be, it's
gonna be a busy summer.
(03:18):
And of course we have, my, myhusband is going to be traveling
to London for a long weekendwith my second son because we
have a bar mitzvah over there.
And then.
We might be doing a family tripwith my in-laws and maybe with
my own family as well.
So there's a lot going on.
Okay?
And if you are still buildingtowards CO isn't five 10 K
(03:40):
months, okay?
If you're still working onbooking out your one-to-ones,
whether you're a serviceprovider or a coach and you're
trying to stay visible withoutburning out, I truly feel that
you cannot afford to justdisappear until September.
Okay?
That I'll pick it back up later.
Mindset is gonna be expensive.
It's gonna be expensive.
But the good news is you do notneed a 40 hour a week plan.
You don't need that during theyear.
You don't need that during thesummer either.
(04:01):
Okay?
You just need a smart, simplified plan that works for
your real summer life.
So today I'm gonna be walkingyou through how to summer proof
your business, your income, andyour sanity, and that is what we
are focused on for this two partseries.
Okay, so a quick heads up beforewe move on summer, like a Boss
(04:24):
is open now.
It is my 90 minute workshop thatgives you a plug and play
content and promotion plan thatactually works for your summer
life, as well as tips and trickson how to schedule your summer
with children at home.
It is$25 this week instead of$47instant access, zero fluff.
And it is part of my bigMother's Day collection.
(04:46):
There is somewhere like a bossis open for$25 and there are
also two different options towork directly with me.
At.
Really bananas, affordablerates.
There's an office hours optionand then there is an intensive
option.
And if you're ready for longerterm support, if you're like,
yes, I'm actually looking tohave a repeatable plan, a
repeatable process to bookmyself out to get clients in the
(05:07):
door, and you don't have thatyet, then the Momentum
Collective is open.
If you join the collectiveduring May, you'll get a bonus
month free.
So you can feel like it's fineif I don't have, I can't
dedicate a hundred percent of mytime towards this during the
summer because you basically geta free month.
You can just.
Like just chill, relax, consumethe content and really go all in
(05:28):
on getting your support and yourcoaching a month later.
Okay, more on this later.
So let me tell you somethingthat I do every summer, and I
also do this when prepping formaternity leave or a big life
transitions, I plan ahead withnumbers, right?
So know vague.
Oh, I just hope this launch goeswell, right?
I know how much money I need.
I know I need to know where it'scoming from.
(05:49):
I give myself buffer and Iextend timelines, and I build a
plan around reality, not somefantasy productivity.
Imaginary.
Oh yes.
I'm gonna do 10 hours of work intwo.
Okay.
I wanna help you do the same, because winging it through the
summer is a guaranteed way tolose momentum and waste your
energy.
So I wanna help you build asummer proof plan that will work
(06:09):
with your messy mom schedule andcan still bring in money, or at
least bring in money that youneed to get through the summer
and stay visible and stay top ofmind to your ideal clients.
The first part is knowing yournumbers.
Okay?
So start here.
Always start here.
You wanna ask yourself, how muchdo I actually need to make each
month this summer?
So let's say you're like, I needto make minimum 5K.
I need to make minimum 10 K,right?
(06:29):
Then you look at how much isalready recurring or booked.
How much do you already havebooked out for the summer?
Alright?
And then what is the shortfall, right?
What's the difference betweenthat number and the other
number?
This will give you clarity andthen you can decide do I
pre-sell?
Do I stack extra income thismonth?
Do I space out projects over thesummer so I can do extended
payment plans and add to myrecurring income?
It's like maternity leaveplanning, but like in a seasonal
(06:49):
sort of way.
So the second part ispre-selling or prepping now.
So once you know what you need, here's how you're gonna wanna
make it work.
So you can reach out to currentor past clients right now, and
you can offer to renew atcurrent rates or at a discounted
rate if you wanna do an alumnirate.
You can set up extended paymentplans that carry you through
July and August, right?
(07:10):
So like instead of saying okay, normally I have a three month
plan, turn it into a five monthpay plan so that you can start
the recurring income.
Now you can book projects.
Now that will start later, butthe payment plan starts now.
So for example I, when I haveIntensivess I can only have so
much time for 90 minuteintensives, and I have time for
like maybe one VIP day a month.
And 90 minute intensives likemaybe three or four at most,
(07:33):
depending on the month, betweentwo and four, depending on the
month.
So I cannot just book those outindefinitely.
So I could say if you wanna bookyours for July or August, you
can start your payment plan nowand have it all paid off by the
time we start.
Because I like to have, when youhave an intensive, when you book
an intensive with me, I like tohave the payment all paid off
(07:54):
before our intensive starts, butif you want to extend the
payment plan and divide it intothree payments or four.
You can get started right now.
So that is what I mean by bookprojects that now that will
start later.
We'll bring in income now andyou can also stretch your client
timelines if needed.
So you can book fewer calls, addmore asynchronous support, maybe
add on a couple months withinstead of, if you normally have
(08:17):
three calls a month, you can addon a couple months with one call
a month and you like take offfrom those other monthly calls
and that way.
You are still serving or you'redoing it on your terms and
summer does not need to be adead zone where you don't make
any money, you don't bring inany new clients or you don't
serve your existing clients.
Okay?
Now the third part is building arepeatable client getting
(08:37):
system.
And this is crucial because ifyour current strategy is post or
remember and I just hopesomebody dms me that is not
going to cut it.
Okay?
You need a visibility systemthat is simple, sustainable, and
repeatable, and you need a salessystem that is going to do the
work for you.
Okay, an example of this wouldbe you have a weekly nurture
email.
You have three reels or postsevery week, or maybe you run as
(09:00):
to a freebie, you have a call toaction, every piece of content.
Maybe you do a regular follow upto the warm leads.
Maybe you have a lead magnet oror a front end, training or
video sales letter that has aclear path from new follower or
new.
Lead to Booked client.
Okay.
And I actually teach this insideof CEO Mom Academy, which you
get inside of the MomentumCollective.
(09:22):
And summer is actually theperfect time to finally set this
up and stop starting from zeroevery month.
And if you really are interestedin building a, an automated,
basically an automated leadgeneration funnel that is very
low lift and really just.
Primes and nurtures your idealclient to work with you and
potentially book you withouteven having to get on a sales
call in our CEO Mom Mastermind.
(09:44):
We are doing that with TaraCounterman.
We have access to her entire podfunnel framework.
She comes in there every monthand coaches my mastermind
clients on building out theirown pod funnels.
And currently all of mymastermind clients are in the
process of building out theirpodcast funnels that are going
to be bringing in not onlybringing in leads, but also
nurturing them and basicallydoing the sales process for them
(10:05):
so that they can get clients inthe door without having to get
on multiple calls, answer loadsof questions.
And things like that.
And I have some clients who arelike, I wanna get this set up
before the summer so that thiscan be running.
And, getting in front of newpeople during the summer.
Some clients are like I wannarecord this during the summer.
This is a great time for me tobe low key doing, recording one
podcast a day and then focusingon promoting it throughout the
(10:26):
summer because it is a 10 partpodcast.
So it does take time to record.
And my baby is currentlyknocking on my office door.
He's supposed to my, my, myhusband's.
Technically watching him, but heis not he Now he knows that I'm
in here, so he is knocking onthe door.
It's so cute.
So this is the perfect time toset that up.
So if that's something thatinterests you, we are doing this
(10:46):
inside of the CEO MomMastermind.
And you also get my one-to-one,feedback on every single piece
of your offer on your messagingso that you can really create
the most optimized offer and themost optimized pod funnel
between me and Tara to bring inyour ideal people.
So if either of those thingsfeel good to you, reach out to
me with either collective, say,DM e Collective, or D Me
(11:07):
Mastermind, which everyone feelslike it speaks to you, and we
can chat about which one makesmost sense for you.
Okay you might hear some noisein the background because I had
to move outta my office becausenow I'm with the baby.
My husband is, had to go out.
So this is the CEO Mom life, whatever.
Okay, so now let's talk aboutredefining consistency.
(11:29):
So consistency.
Does not mean posting daily.
And I always say this to myclients, right?
Consistent does not meanconstant.
Okay?
It means being presentconsistently, whatever that
means for you.
Okay?
So I want you to pick a rhythmthroughout the summer that you
feel you can stick to.
And this could also meanbatching out content beforehand.
(11:52):
Okay?
Taking like a couple of days tobatch out, like a bunch of
B-roll and batching out someposts.
And posting once or twice aweek, if you normally post every
single day, posting once ortwice a week, having, it would
be three reels or short formvideos per week.
Maybe one live video at adesignated time that everyone
knows is your time.
One nurture email and one salesemail per week.
(12:13):
A daily 15 minute visibilitysprint, right?
Posting, engaging, following up,that is, and everyone's gonna
have their own version of whatconsistent means for them.
And it really depends also thekind of content you're putting
out.
So for me it would be like, okay, I'm gonna put out my
podcast, I'll be repurposing mypodcast more than than creating
new posts, right?
Because yeah, I have ideas orposts all the time, but I may
(12:34):
not have the bandwidth toactually write out all those
ideas.
So I'm gonna be like, okay, great.
So I have my podcast recordedahead of time.
I'm gonna just repurpose more ofthat content from the podcast,
which I should be doing alreadyanyway.
I just get so many ideas.
I'm like, no, I wanna talk aboutthis.
I wanna talk about that too.
And and just thinking ofdifferent ways to bring people
in into my world.
Another option for beingconsistent is paid ads.
(12:55):
Okay?
Now I'm not saying that youshould be running paid ads.
Especially if you are, especially if you are still
working on booking out, youdon't, maybe don't have your
messaging nailed, but if you dohave a lead magnet set up or
maybe a mini webinar orsomething that brings people in
(13:15):
the door, the right kind of freeoffer that will bring people in
the door that you can run$5 aday to.
$10 a day, two to bring, to growyour email list.
I highly recommend being, doingthat, even if it's just, seeing
which reels really pop off andrunning a dollar or two of
engagement towards those reelsand making sure to add a call to
(13:36):
action to drop a keyword orsomething, and using a many chat
bot like that.
It is almost like hacking yourconsistency because you are
gonna be showing up in front ofyour audience regularly without
necessarily having to create newcontent regularly.
Alright, and my next.
Point is sell what is simple, right?
So in summer, your audience isprobably gonna want easy wins
(13:59):
and low lift support.
So you're gonna wanna meet themwhere they are.
So offering things like foxer ortelegram coaching or power hours
or audits and strategy sessions,or templates or mini offers, or
flexible timelines, or justgetting stuff, getting projects
knocked off their plate duringthe summer while they are taking
time off.
Is so sexy.
It is so tempting.
(14:20):
Okay.
We love having stuff get donewhile we're just lying on the
beach, or in my case, lying bythe pool or lying on my couch in
the air conditioning because Ido not like the beach.
I don't like sand, right?
Thinking about, how can I createopt, op opt-ins options for my
ideal clients that are maybe amore low lift version of what I
normally do, or front end waysto bring them in the door and
(14:43):
sell'em into your higher ticketoffers.
And talk about those things now.
Okay?
Don't wait until school's out.
Start seeding and selling now sopeople can plan with you.
And I actually have a postcoming out like literally today
on my feed.
So look, check out my feed.
It says, are you worried aboutthe summer slowdown?
And it gives you so many ideas.
There's literally a masterclassin and of itself, right?
(15:06):
It's a masterclass in and ofitself for, what you can do,
what you can sell during thesummer, how to prep for the
summer.
So definitely go check it outand save it because you're gonna
wanna take, just take notesseriously.
So that is the thing about whatto sell.
And the last thing is.
Because it just set up thebundle.
I pre-created the summit train, the summit training, so it was
(15:27):
ready to go.
I didn't have to show up live oranything, and I was able to just
have emails going out promoting.
And I had new leads coming inthroughout the entire summer.
So this is a really good time toset up some sort of audience
growth strategy.
So again, if you do not have alead magnet that converts or a
lead magnet that's been provento bring people in the door, I
talk about that inside of CEOMom Academy.
(15:47):
So you might wanna check thatout.
My friend Monica has a reallyincredible program called
Automated Audience, whichteaches you how to create a lead
magnet that converts and how torun ads to it.
Exactly.
I personally used her method wasrunning five,$10 a day of ads to
these lead magnet who's getting$1 leads, 50 cent leads a dollar
50.
(16:09):
Really cheap leads for businessto business.
And I did have those peopleconvert on the back end to
sales.
If this is something that speaksto you, if you're like, yes, I'm
interested in learning ads, thenreach out to me and I'll send
you the link directly to herautomated audience.
I highly recommend it.
And if you're like, I don't evenknow what I could turn into lead
magnets, I don't even know whatI could turn into low ticket
(16:30):
products, because I definitelyrecommend having a funnel that
you're leading to not justhaving a plain lead magnet, but
having a trip wire offer, anorder bump, even an upsell.
I am having something come laterthis summer.
It's going to be an incredibleopportunity and I'm giving you a
little heads up here.
It's gonna be, I'm gonna betalking about it during my
birthday month next month inJune.
(16:51):
A very special opportunity tobuild out, like literally
leverage your current contentoffers, templates, things that
you're already doing, and turnthem into money, into funnels,
into pa relatively passiveincome.
Make sure to keep an eye out forthat because I'm going to give
you an opportunity to do that.
Even if you're only making threeKA month, five KA month, you'll
(17:12):
still be able to do this.
Okay?
So just let's sum it up whilewe're already here.
Number one is knowing yournumbers.
You can stop guessing and startplanning.
You might wanna pre-sell orstretch out delivery now so you
can have payment plans goingout.
Some are, does not have to beslow for you, okay?
You you're gonna win.
Want to build a repeatableclient getting system.
Okay, so no reinventing thewheel and trying all this
(17:33):
different stuff.
So whether you have a pod funneland you wanted to join us in the
Mastermind building out your podfunnel, or you have a really
good, maybe a mini webinar or.
A front end audit or somethinglike that is proven to bring in
clients.
Don't reinvent the wheel.
Focus on selling that or gettingpeople into that container.
I want you to redefineconsistency, right?
It's about finding your rhythm, not about perfection, not about
(17:55):
showing up every single day.
Sell simple, timely offers thatfeel like a no brainer right now
for your ideal clients.
And make sure to check out myposts about how to position your
offers to sell during the summerand use this time.
To grow your audience, whetherit's through collabs, whether
it's through ads, whether it'sthrough just posting your lead
magnet every single week, makesure to take this time to grow
(18:15):
your audience is a really greattime.
I currently have a summit that'sgonna be coming out in the in
July because it's a great timefor people to tune in to
summits, listen in.
It's gonna be an audio summits,so very easy to tune into.
And and I know that I wantpeople to be able to.
Number one, come into my worldand get fully served while not
really having to do much, reallyjust sitting around listening to
(18:37):
podcasts, getting value, andthen potentially moving into my
other offers.
So this is a really greatopportunity for you to be
featured in other places aswell.
So I hope this helps youunderstand that you do not need
to have a full calendar and fillall your time.
You can batch, you can have oneday a week or one day a month
where you batch out content forthe month or the week.
You can use very simple b-rollto create reels.
(18:59):
You can have ads running, soyou, all you need to do is just
check in on your ads a coupletimes a week and see how they're
doing.
There's so many options for you.
It's really just a matter ofit's really just a matter of.
Focusing on what your goals arefor the summer, right?
Again, knowing your numbers andfocusing on, what makes sense
for people, for my people duringthe summer, what are they gonna
(19:19):
be interested in buying, doing, having access to?
And how can I leverage that?
How can I serve them in thatway?
If you wanna know how to buildout your summer for maps revenue
and presents, and just generallyenjoying your summer with your
kids, whether they're home withyou or not.
Here are three ways I can helpyou.
(19:39):
I have my mom's my Mother's Day,CEO Mom's Collection that is on
offer just this week until thisupcoming Monday, which is I
think the 19th.
So you can grab summer like aboss.
It's just$25.
And instant access includes afull content and promo calendar
that's designed for your summerenergy.
Jump into my CEO Mom officehours.
There are only 10 spotsavailable for this.
(20:00):
It's a week of telegram coachingto get clear on your next steps
and take serious action for thesummer.
Or there are three spots to getan intensive with me where you
can literally map out yoursummer plan, map out a funnel.
Literally, I've built up funnelswith my clients that convert at
50%.
Sales funnels, not opt-infunnels, sales funnels that
convert at 50% the whole waythrough.
(20:20):
Okay?
This seriously works, and if anyof this stuff sounds interesting
to you and you're reallyinterested in.
Getting my coaching and my eyeson your stuff, you can join the
Momentum Collective.
This is my mini mastermind whereyou get access to my entire
product suite, including CEO MomAcademy, where you learn how to
build a repeatable clientgetting system.
And if you join us in May,you'll get an extra bonus month
(20:43):
so you can ease in without guiltor pressure and not feel like
you're wasting time becauseyou've got some extra time.
Okay, so the links are gonna bein the show notes, and if this
episode hit home.
Screenshot it.

summer plan.
So thank you so much forlistening.

totally mom proof.

smarter plan.
