Message by: Scott Treadway & Karri Pettit God created us all with the gift of feeling. Some of us lead with our emotions, while others can be stunted emotionally either by nature (genetics) or nurture (upbringing), This week, we discover how Jesus models healthy emotional connections with God and the people we love.

Message by: Scott Treadway In the Great Commandment, Jesus invites us to love God "with all our minds", yet so much of church life resists thinking deeply about faith. What we believe and why we believe it is rarely questioned or challenged, perhaps for fear of getting it wrong or being judged. This message frees us to enjoy the journey of our God-given mind as our faith stretches and grows by thinking, reasoning, learning, and ev...
Message by: Steve Salomon In this opening message of Feeler. Thinker. Doer., we explore how each of us is uniquely wired—and how that shapes the way we connect with God and others. Through the image of the vine and branches and the diversity of Jesus’ disciples, we’re invited to stop comparing, start accepting who we are, and grow in appreciation for the differences around us. Because when we understand how we’re wired, we not o...

Message by: Scott Treadway Typical kings, queens, and monarchs live above the people in places of comfort and privilege, even as their subjects suffer. However, Jesus was and is with us, living with us, and even suffering with us. In fact, in the end, Jesus endured every possible form of suffering imaginable. So, on this Palm Sunday, we'll see the suffering of Jesus, then see through the suffering of Jesus to the resurrection wher...
Message by: Scott Treadway Jesus is a different kind of king, bringing justice on earth for everyone, especially the lost, forgotten, underprivileged, lonely, marginalized, and the judged. Through Jesus, we know that all are chosen, all are loved, and all are near to the heart of God.

Monarchs throughout history, and monarchs today are better known for cruelty than they are for mercy. God Himself has historically been portrayed as being cruel, broodingly overseeing obedience or disobedience, delivering reward and punishments. Jesus, however, shows that God is merciful and kind toward us all, especially toward those who once thought of God as cruel.

The wisdom of Jesus is unlike the wisdom of the world that values power, glory, and wealth. The wisdom of the Kingdom of Heaven is not of this world. It is an invisible, thoughtful, creative, relationship-driven wisdom of humility, self-sacrifice, forgiveness and, above all, love.

Message by: Scott Treadway Jesus is the King of Kings, but he is unlike any king before him. Instead of wielding authority through glory, power, wealth, threats, and violence, Jesus came as a peasant, serving peasants, and equipping peasants to change the world through love.

Message by: Scott Treadway Asking "How Can I Improve?" is one of the most powerful questions we can ask on our journey toward self improvement. This question requires trust in the one you are asking and a heart of humility and courage to ask it, but the growth that can come from this is truly extraordinary.

Forgiveness is different than restoration. Forgiveness is an internal state of mind, but restoration heals a broken relationship. Living a lifestyle of forgiveness and restoration brings freedom as we follow the teaching and example of Jesus.

Joseph was an ordinary young man in the ancient Near East when circumstances rocked his world and shook his faith to the core. His fiancé would be with a child that was not his. A voice from heaven told him it would be ok, but his journey of faith would be difficult. God is patient with our honest struggles in life and faith today as He was with Joseph 2,000 years ago.

Message by: Scott Treadway The Christmas story in the book of Luke reveals a deep and profound relationship that Elizabeth and Mary enjoyed as relatives and friends. They honored each other in both the struggles and the celebrations of life. Honoring one another can be how we too can find joy in a weary world.
