Random History - The Comedy (or Tragedy) of Our Species

The British commanded US invasion of North Russia gets off to an awkward start.  The Americans are showing just how green they are as soldiers and General Poole demonstrates just how arrogant a British General can be.

With the Central Soviet banning the use of ciphers in diplomatic cables we sort through the cables and reading the tea leaves a bit about what was said and what was being said between the lines.  Don't worry, we finally get there, the Polar Bears arrive.

The western front, we talk about troop levels, lack of manpower reserves at home, and the Americans arriving.  Also discuss Germany and its logistics, ability to move troops and the events as they unfold in Russia as we post our final preparation episode into what is happening for background before the American Expeditionary Force in North Russia (AEF) also know as the Polar Bears arrive in our next episode.

The US was not interested in involving itself in a European Affair.  At least that was the consensus overall in the United States.  This feeling was especially strong in the West.  Woodrow Wilson seems to have been a dove with a hawk cabinet.  What changed the nation's mind to send its boys "over there"?  How did a Mexican bandit get the US Army ready for war in Europe?
