If you thought "One After 909" took a long time to gestate, it's nowhere NEAR the journey for "Now and Then." As we all know, it was one of the songs given to the Threetles by Yoko to complete, but it's sonic shortcomings couldn't be solved by the technology of the 90s. But then, seemingly out of nowhere during our ongoing tumultous time period, The Beatles did what The Beatles always do. They show up with something to make us all smile a little more and put a little more love into the world. Whatever it's initial intent was or wasn't, "Now and Then" represents a powerful conclusion of the recorded output of the entity known as The Beatles. And it's just beautiful.
This episode was recorded LIVE at the Fest for Beatles Fans at Jersey City in March of this year in collaboration with our pals, Blotto Beatles. A splendid time was had by all, and for our first ever live podcast, we think it went pretty darn well.
