Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kelly Nash look at the What a great week to
have our US congressman one of them. Joe Wilson, Good morning, sir, Hey,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Hey, good morning. And indeed, what a week this has been.
And I'm so proud of the leadership of Mike Johnson,
Speaker Mike Johnson. He is really understanding that the focus
of where we are with the Containing Resolution is the
US Senate, and so the House of Lords, with the
very poor leadership of Senator Schumer, things are just not
(00:32):
working there. But this week this gave me an opportunity
to get around the district. I've been to all five
counties for different events, and it's been very inspiring to
me to see the people that I represent.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Well, we're talking about the shutdown because the Democrats are
making this about the They use the phrase healthcare, I
prefer to say insurance, and they want one and a
half trillion dollars so that premiums don't go up next year.
What is the Republican answer to that. I know you
got the clean Resolution right now, which means we're going
to just fund the government at its current rate, but
what is your ideas about healthcare moving forward?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
It's really We've had it in the past to have
an alternative to Obamacare, and that is for people who
really need it, that you would have assistance of Medicare
and Medicaid. But with the Obamacare, we all knew that
it was not feasible, that it would not work. The
only way we'd work, Kelly, is that you put more
(01:28):
money in and then you hit it on a hit, a
trillion and a half dollars then, and of course they
have by providing coverage to illegal aliens, have added a
new focus to it that we didn't anticipate, and that
is that not only would it not work, but if
you add illegal aliens, indeed, of course it's not going
(01:49):
to work because they have not paid in and will
not pay and they've come here with the intent of
affecting our country. And the Democrats look at this as
new Democrat voters. When you hear immigrants or migrants or
illegal aliens, which is a proper term, no think of
it new Democrat voters.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Now, certainly this week, I know you're very much in
a saluatory mood, and the listeners of this program certainly
understand the ends and the house of the Gaza situation
with Israel. Now, everybody in America, believe it or not,
understands the victory for Donald Trump because it was so overwhelming.
Even MSNBCC and NABC and the like had to applaud
the man. Now, my question, though, specifically, is as we
(02:30):
head into phase two, tell me how this is going
to unfold successfully so that Donald Trump is able to
bring about the end to this Middle Leased crisis.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Well, indeed, it was really inspiring to me to see
the President able to work with Cutter, with Toky, with
Saudi Arabia, and hey, the incredible Iran actually has endorsed
what President Trump has achieved of the end of conflict
in Gaza. But the main thing is to release the hostages.
And so the next seventy two hours ninety six hours,
(03:02):
it could be very significant in terms of what we
can have with the release of the hostages. And then
just so heartbreaking the I actually last year visited the
near oz Kavutz where the babies were put in microwaves
for their families to see them burned alive before they
were murdered themselves.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
And then I.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Visited the music festival site where young people will beheaded.
And this can't be denied because the Hamas terrorists were
actually videoing this, they were having it's their video, and
they clearly were on drugs too, possibly captive God from Syria,
(03:42):
and so over and over again. What the President's achieved
will know truly in the next ninety six hours. And
then after that, I really am concerned. We're dealing with
Hamas and Articles seven of their covenant of August eighteen,
nineteen eighty eight states very clearly that every Jew is
(04:03):
to be chased behind a rock or tree until you
find the last jew behind a rock and kill him.
That is their covenant, and so it's going to be
really important for the demonization disarming of Hamas in Gaza.
And then I've always thought that Gaza could be indeed
(04:26):
a riviera, which time about the beach when you see
the people going back to their homes, which that's encouraging
to see that, but we're talking about a beach area,
this on the Mediterranean. This could and so instead of
building tunnels, I'm really hoping that Arab allies are going
to step in and actually monitor what redevelopment there is
(04:49):
and it could be developed again as a area of
hospitality and jobs for the people.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Talking with Congressman Joe Wilson, I'm not asking you to
criticize Donald Trump. I'm asking for your assessment. It seems
to me and others like he may have opened a
Pandora's box here when he announced earlier this week that
he was going to use money from the tariffs in
order to fund the Wick program for mothers and low
(05:19):
income families. There's now a push amongst certain groups to
say he didn't even need that money. He could have
just done it straight out by an executive order, which
is ultimately what he did. But should he then now
figure out a way to sign an executive order to
pay the military so that they're not worried as they
(05:40):
head overseas.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Indeed, I would support an executive order as you stated,
to pay the military. But what we're into again the
Schumer shut down, is so tragically clear. It's an intimidation
of Senatis Schumer by socialists in his party, and as
they are taking over the party set by step and
(06:03):
subverting the party into an extremist and Marxist orientation. And
when we say that, you can see it in New
York and so. But Donald Trump, I believe as understands
we're an impass that totally is political, could be avoided,
should have been avoided. And additionally, the spectacle that they're
(06:26):
trying to shut down the or did shut down the
government to provide illegal aliens healthcare, and then they are
even worse. And this is where talk radio is so important.
People now know the truth. The truth is that indeed,
one point four million illegal aliens are being covered by
different Obamacare programs. And that's the one point four million
(06:50):
we know about. And then we even know how much
it is two hundred billion dollars. Yes, and then let's
go back lightnings Gontry. Already I want to quote Hillary Clinton,
and that is that about fifteen to twenty years ago,
they have a film clip of where she points out
how terrible it is that by providing healthcare to illegal
(07:13):
aliens that you're encouraging people to come to our country,
and how they've changed their tune now. And so I
am just really again so proud of the leadership of
Speaker Mike Johnson and then Senator John Thune as the
Republican leader. And we've already seen several Democrats come over
(07:35):
and two of them in one independent are voting with
the Republicans. To reopen the government.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I had a stupid idea because I'm not in government,
and I know the wisest people in America are in government.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
So please note that I shook my head negative.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
But we mentioned several of the programs. A lot of
people clump them all together, including Social Security, which we
know is not an entitlement program, but let's just use
that term so we can understand. We're talking about a
lot of different pots of money. But the government uses
for persons who are in need or persons who are
retired and now living on Social Security. As you mentioned
a minute ago, we have taken in so many illegals,
(08:13):
and the Biden administration did a great job of redefining words,
so did the Barack Obama, so that suddenly someone in
a temporary status who probably will not ever clear the
bar as a temporary resident, will end up, hopefully under
their terms, be a citizen. But what are the chances
that we could isolate these buckets and then use them
with a test mechanism, Let's say, just for medicaid. So
(08:34):
if you're receiving Medicaid, now what I had this crazy idea.
You front loaded that by like three, four or five
months so if my normal Medicaid expenditure is or entitlement
is one thousand dollars, now we're going to give each
of those persons five thousand dollars upfront. Okay, Now, in
the next five months, we're going to have everyone who
(08:55):
claims Medicaid to be to have to somehow may become
an in person. I don't know. We got to have
you come in and requalify for the program. Because now
we actually have an administration who may have persons working
in each of these governmental agencies who could actually ensure
the money we're spending is going to the people it
was intended to go to. And then after we go
(09:18):
through Medicaid, then we go to another one, maybe it's
Social Security, maybe whatever it is, so that we actually
find a way to reprocess everybody who's currently on a program.
I realize that's a lot of people, but think about
the people on waste, abuse and a fraud in this program. No.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
In fact, as you were just talking, Jonathan, I was
thinking fraud, waste and abuse. It is so rampant, and
because there's been no double checking intentionally and so this
now we have an administration that is making every effort
to look into froud waste and abuse, not just sown programs.
But hey, have a registration of voters. Okay, they are
(09:55):
looking and successfully looking into multiple registration of different states.
And that's why, and I give you all credit because
you brought it up. And that is that as the
federal government is requesting the information and there's some reluctance
because this confidential information from voters, it actually was provided
(10:16):
by the federal government. And so when did that become
an intrusion and power. No, We've just gotten to clean
up government roles r l ls so that they are clear.
And the people who are deceased now they should be
taken off the list.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Okay. Yeah, but if you can't come into the office
because you're in a grave, there's a good chance you're
not going to requalify for the governmental programs you received.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
And hey and hey, hey, maybe something good. I know,
something good can come out of AI and that is
to just cross reference over and over again and then
identify the level of fraudation and abuse in our country,
the people who are abusing the system. And then hey,
it's the Republicans who are compared On the House floor,
as they were talking about what President Trump was who
(11:05):
was helping billionaires, and I it's my view that the
number of billionaires there's so few that that's not really
a group that you have to totally counter to. But
we want the programs to succeed. And when they keep
loading people into the programs, ultimately, as we see with Obamacare,
(11:26):
they didn't mean to actually unintentionally identify it doesn't work,
but now they know it doesn't work because they asked
for another trillion and a half dollars. And then they
get people hooked on these programs and then they call
it a healthcare crisis. Who created the crisis?
Speaker 1 (11:43):
They did?
Speaker 2 (11:44):
And so by creating a program that can't be sustained.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Well, much like the Christy Nome commercial, this running where
if you don't self deport, you won't have the opportunity
to come back using the regular avenues and become a
citizen for the US. But if we announced that we
were going to be starting with medicaid and then we're
going to go to this ability, or we're going to
go to whatever you would have people and give people
the opportunity to self report without penalty. But if you
don't self report and we go through and realize that
(12:09):
you're receiving money without well maybe the government actually has
a way to claw that money back because you defrauded
the American taxpayer.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Well, I'm glad to let you know that's what this
administration is going to do, and that is to identify
and then clothe the money back. And then hey, I'm
so glad you mentioned Christy Ohms.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
What a superstar.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Okay, I'm so grateful for her leadership and her success
and hey, and we want to Hey, we're not a
quote against people. What we want to do is maintain
the security of the American people. And the way to
do that is to give incentives for people to self
identify and self deport and then if they don't, then
(12:49):
they will be deported and unable to come back. And then,
of course, another superstar this week has been a Bondy
or Attorney General. What a superstar or she is and
how she addressed issues with the US Senate this week,
So over and over again we've seen a different person
and Pete hegseth his leadership and the leadership of the
(13:13):
president and calling the admirals and generals in as a
thirty one year veteran, myself and grateful dead of four
sons who served in the military overseas to see Pete
Hegseth really point out that, hey, the days of DEI
are over, and it's not negative. It's protecting people's lives
that you use the level of the highest male standard.
(13:37):
You're really not helping a young lady if you put
him on the battlefield, they can't maneuver. And so over
and over again, what liberals have done has put people
where they cannot succeed. And we saw that in the
housing crisis.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
How did that happen?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
They were actually making loans to people who couldn't make payments, okay,
and so over and over again. It's Republicans who are compassionate.
We want programs to work, and they actually develop programs
that don't take two rockets. Scientists say, even a lowly
real estate attorney like me can figure out it's not
going to work, and then it's going to be catastrophic,
(14:15):
and then you'll be where Centerta Shumor is.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Today.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
We're in a healthcare crisis. It's not a healthcare crisis,
it's a crisis in the Democratic Party where they are
being taken over by Marxists. And he is their target.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Well, I'm glad you used that phrase Marxist, because that's
my recommendation that Republicans begin referring to Democrats as Marxists,
because Marxist's number one goal is to destroy capitalism and
the number one way to destroy it, according to them,
is to bring hard times to the people. Yes, and
that's what they're obviously trying to do. They're trying to
(14:51):
bring hard times to the American people, and they're doing
it with this government shutdown. They're doing it with their
government programs. They also need chaos, and that's exactly what
they entire purpose of bringing all these illegals across the
border was to introduce chaos and bring hard times to
the American people. Then they can offer the solution, which
is the destruction of capitalism the beginning of socialism. And
(15:13):
we're seeing more and more Americans going towards socialism. That
the stuff you see with Mamdani is insane to me.
Twenty twenty five years ago, that never would have happened.
But today he's probably going to be the next mayor,
a socialist. Bernie Sanders rise in the presidential campaign socialist,
AOC socialist, and they're basically Marxists.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
And Kelly, it's really said to me when I think
of New York City, probably a third of the population
there is there because they fled from Marxist communist countries. Yes,
and so you have so many people who fled there
from Central and Eastern Europe, who fled from the Soviet Union,
fled from Cuba, from Venezuela and Nicaraqua. And so the
(15:55):
thought that socialism would be appealing as just inconceivable. It's
not just socialism. Indeed, the level of violence, the going
back to the assassination attempt of Steve's Scalise and then
sadly the butler Pennsylvania attempt to assassinate Donald Trump, and
then the assassination actually of Charlie Kirk. And then we
(16:18):
see with the candidates and Democratic candidates in Virginia who
are who are just making.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Light fantasizing about killing people.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Hey with two bullets, and then to kill the Speaker
of the House and then also to kill his children.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
That and the Democratic Party of Virginia should be uh
fully ashamed. And in fact, I look forward in three
weeks I will be there uh to campaign for Winsom
series and the Republican ticket Virginia and the but the
and that is so unlike what anything that I had
(16:59):
thought that Democrat Party would stand for. I can't imagine.
And and I'm also equally confident that it's a double standard.
If if a Republican did that, I am just confident
that Republican ground troops would say, hey, remove that candidate.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Absolutely, same as if we'd burnt the judge's house down.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Yes, and hey, we've had candidates, quote make mistakes, I e.
The Republican candidate for governor of North Carolina sadly and
things just didn't work out. And and also U the
US Senate candidate in Georgia that had issues. Uh, but
(17:42):
we didn't ignore it and and there was a proper response.
But back again, it's talk radio that brings all these
issues up. And I'm just so grateful for the your
success and successive talk radio bringing up issues that the
fake media, and in it say hey, I've been actually
praising the fake media. In the first term, Donald Trump
(18:06):
I had ninety six percent negative media, and so I
had thought the most recent that had slipped to ninety
three percent, almost doubling positive media. And then and then
this week the President. Really I wish he's ubsessed me
so much. He announced that it was ninety seven percent negative,
(18:27):
so it's actually gone up a point. And then actually
I met with Secretary of War Pete Hegsworth and I said, hey, missus, Secretary,
you've really done something unique. You've achieved a one hundred
negative media.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Congress with Joe Wilson. We know you're hard pressed for time.
Thank you for carving a little bit of that for
us to talk to us on the Jonathan and Kelly Show.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Well again, I'm just so grateful to be serving what
I'm so proud of South Carolina and the people of
South Carolina. And just with this unintended week of being
a on the district, I've been again to all five
counties that I represent, every community from Blythwood to Bornwell
to North Augusta and so and and every and shaping
(19:13):
in between so and but the people I represent, I'm
very inspired and just grateful to be serving. And hey,
I'm just so hopeful for our country. Really overseas, there's
real progress being made of peace through strength. NATO has
never been more united than it is today. Who would
ever imagine. And then with the economy on the stock
(19:35):
market at record high for those who fortunate enough to
have money. And then I'm really grateful that jobs are
being created, and any way that I can back it up,
I'm happy to do
