Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Jonathan and Kelly Show. Jonathan Rush, you
got grab a cub these I just gotta get shot.
Kelly Nash, what do you hope happens? I hope that
I see the obituary that we're all waiting for tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
That's what I hope for.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Yeah, President Trump is done.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Yes, absolutely, Jonathan and Kelly Show.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Just two of the voices. I heard Joe Scarborough bragging
about earlier this morning that these protests were so peaceful
and they're just standing up for their constitutional rights.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
That's someone is giddy about death.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
She's reddy, very excited about it. And I would love
to be in there this morning when they served her
breakfast in bed, which I'm sure is about twenty pounds
when you carry it into it on a tray.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Oh she was a large woman.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Oh yeah, uh so you you bring her breakfast in
bed and then hand her the newspaper. You go, Oh,
I've already checked it. I'm sorry there's no obituary in
here for Donald J. Trump.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
There's barely any coverage of your No Kings protest.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Barely. I mean South Carolina. This is where the original
No King protests thrived in the seventeen, seventy five, seventy four,
seventy five, seventy six.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
If we had a actual threat of a king, I'm
sure there would be some violent uprisings here in South Carolina,
in the state where.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
We're celebrating the ESC two fifty and the battlefields that
played out in the Revolutionary War, in our battle against
the king.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
But since most Americans are still saying they recognize there
is no king, there's no threat. By the way, surprisingly
silent all weekend, Prince Harry and Megan Markle no comments
on the No King's protest. You figured big libs like
that they'd be a part of that, but thought maybe
he felt awkward about the King's reference. But the idea

(01:49):
that the South Carolina only had about ten thousand people
between the three major cities protests, and yet they say
nationally seven million, I don't where were those seven million people.
I get the feeling this is gonna be like a
Joe Biden jobs report that starts at seven million and
is revised back to about four hundred thousand. Yeah, we're
gonna have about four hundred thousand before it's all said

(02:10):
and done.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And then the other very civil voices we're calling that
Americans go out, much like Don Lamont, go out and
get yourself a gun and go kill an Ice agent.
Very very well level headed, I would say, with their
vocal protest the note of the king they claim as
Donald Trump.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
One of my friends has a radio show and I
on Friday, I think it was, they were talking about
Don Lemon and his podcast or whatever it is, the
video thing that he does, because that's where he was
saying this whole idea of I want black and brown
people in America first off, to read your Second Amendment
right and understand why you have your second Amendment, which

(02:54):
is to fight a tyrannical government. It's not about hunting,
it's not about sports shooting. It's about killing government officials
who try to overthrow your town, your city, whatever. I
want you to understand that, go get yourself a gun
and start taking care of business. And we're like, what
I got, baby steps, we made baby steps. Don Lemon

(03:17):
and the Democrats are starting to understand why we have
a Second Amendment and they're celebrating it.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Now.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
They're going to try to misuse it, but at least
they understand the Second Amendment now and why we are
allowed to have guns.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And you should use that gun, according to that protester
on ICE agents.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Again, if the ICE agents were in fact attacking US citizens,
I might agree with you. But we have not as
of yet lost any US citizens. Not one has been deported.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Did you see where we had a South Carolinian arrested?
She showed up and I've forgotten where it was. I
think it's a mount pleasant. She shows up with a
gun and starts wheelding that thing around. Yeah, I don't
I don't even understand. Arrested her for.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Having a gun. Yes, was she uh not authorized?

Speaker 1 (04:08):
She was presenting the weapon, and that's the problem.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Yeah, I mean, if you look, don't don't present unless
you plan on using. You know, if you if you're
pointing a gun at somebody, you better have the intention
of using that gun. And if you're just gonna flash
it around like a threat, and when you get de armed,
you're gonna go to d jail.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I don't know if I started all the local television.
I searched the state newspaper. They only gave me a
video from somewhere in San Francisco. I've searched the posting courier.
I'm looking for some valid conversation for the persons to
make their case, and I realized they came. They showed
up as some pretty snappy signs. Some of the signs
maybe laugh out loud.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Well, they worked very hard on this No King's protest.
I mean they had three different training calls. They were
working on the chance. They had a pregame warm up
where my wife was showing me some of the videos
where they had these people like locked in gymnasiums and stuff,
practicing their chance, yelling at someone like you're a little
flat there, Tommy pep rally. Yeah, you got to get

(05:07):
ourselves in tune so that with the Pep band.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
So then they marched out onto the streets and then
it just kind of didn't go as well as a hope.
Now the mainstream media is reporting seven million, which is now,
if that number was to hold, that would be the
largest single day protest in American history. And you know what,
it still wouldn't mean a hill of beans because it's
still less than two percent of the voters.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Now, tell you what, we got to go to the
double secret probation. Every hotline real quick, take this phone call,
then we'll get back to some of that. Hold on
Kelly Nash Wealck come on the phone from Washington unless
he's at his hometown, because I'm really I'm hearing that
the US House of Representatives is afraid to go back
to d C. They're being called out. Congressman Ralph Norman,

(05:52):
Good morning, sir, Good morning. Where are you today?

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Good morning, Jonathan Kelly. I'm in rock Hill, South Carolina today.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Refusing to open the government. I see why won't you
open the government?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
You know, I look back, you look back in history.
The we're on day twenty, probably going on all this week.
So the longest prior to this was in twenty eighteen nineteen,
which I think it went on for thirty five days.
But if you look back at the reason they held
a paychecks from veterans and basically stop the government, is

(06:28):
was over President Trump wanting to build a fund to
build a wall to keep this country safe. This party,
the Democrat Party, is willing to shut this government down
today because they want an extra one point five trillion
dollars to register illegals to get Medicaid Medicare, to fund

(06:48):
these rogue radio stations to I mean, it's ludicrous. What
they're doing. They've lost their way, and the American people
going hold accountable.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Well, just know that while you're in Rocket Kill, Jill
Takuda and Ad Case just two of the Democrats in
the House who we're back in DC begging you to
come back and take your responsibility. Seriously, here's my reply
to that.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Huh, Democrats, come back to Washington sign the Continued Resolution
that you signed thirteen times under Joe Biden. The only
reason you're not signing it now is a hatred of
Donald Trump and that was took front and center stage
on these stupid No King rallies that took place all
you know, over the country and you're talking about inflaming,

(07:36):
you know, those who would harm this country just doing it.
But the American people see it, and we've done our job.
We're not coming back and there's nothing to negotiate now.
We're not giving you a tree in five of money
we don't have that has to be borrored. We're not
going to play your games with you know, trying to
have a bloating voting block of illegals and give them

(07:58):
money to through our government system. We're just not doing it.
And so they can say what they want the facts
for the facts, and we'll stand.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
On You know, one of the more ironic things about
the No King's protest, and we're with Congressman Ralph Norman
this morning, is that the one that took place in
d C wouldn't have been able to happen under Democrats'
laws because they shut down the government and that would
have closed the parks and services in the mall in
d C. Yet Donald Trump has found a way to

(08:28):
pay for the not only for you know, the wik
program paid the military members, but keep a lot of
the parks and services open. So the only reason they
could have their No King's protest is because Donald Trump
basically paid for the No Kings protest to be open.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Well that, you know, look what he's doing for you know,
like you mentioned, to pay for our military. We've got
right at thirty four thousand active duty military here in
South Carolina. We've to have roughly twenty five thousand fetal employees.
And what this president has done is phenomenal in coming

(09:05):
up with ways to fund our military of all means.
And you know, the Democrats again, they're just blinded by
a pure hatred of a man who is rescued this country.
He's got us back on track with the safest now
we've ever been under the Bastros Biden administration. They don't
realize that it's anti American what the Democrat Party has

(09:28):
come has come to today.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Well, as you mentioned you are in rock Hill today,
I don't know if you have any scheduled events as
you are, in fact running for the governor of the
state of South Carolina. We have a lot of issues
here that are greatly concerning the people, because it's not
just DC, it's the state of South Carolina. One of
the things that I was reminded of every time I
got in my car over the weekend was that if
I were the governor of the state, I would be

(09:52):
embarrassed to drive our roads. We've been promised by the
General Assembly we'd have potholes fixed, and now we've got
bridges here in Columbia and shut down because we what
have we been doing with all this money? I mean,
it's amazing with the gas tax and the other ways
that we facilitated through fees. With the DOT you would
have thought would have the smoothest roads in the nation
by now, well.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
You know, the corruption, the waste for all the abuse
of paying for anything but our roads and our bridges,
which are a core function of government. We travel them
every day. I had a blowout on I twenty six
a week and a half ago, and as you know,
twenty six is under construction, and had I not been
able to get off, we would have been killed. I mean,

(10:33):
trucks were going eighty miles an hour passed us. And
all that to say is under a Norman administration, we're
going to fix our roads and bridges. We're gonna change
the way judges are elected. The logan Frederico who died
from a man who had been arrested forty times with
twenty five fountainies. It's not fair the way we elect judges.

(10:55):
And we're gonna put some turn limits on to get
the people who are making these awful decisions that now serve.
I don't care whether you're Republican the Democrat out of
office and it's time. It's the power that he's putting.
First things first has to come to South Carolina. I'm
looking forward to it.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Talking with Ralph Norman, who is running for governor. And
you know, one of the challenges I would imagine as
the next governor is how much limitations there are on
that actual role. It's not as in some other states,
really gives you a lot of power. You have to
work so much with the General Assembly, do you I mean,

(11:34):
is that what you imagine that you'll be able to
work with these people better than our current administration.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
We'll work with them as long as they as they
put first things first and fix the things I just
mentioned our basic function of government rose bridges, you know
just what I mentioned, lex and judges, as long as
they will change that. I mean, we've had ten years
and it's been under the Republican leadership of growth in government.

(12:01):
Ten years ago in South Carolina you had roughly forty
five thousand employees. What do you have now for government?
Right at one hundred and eighteen, We've grown government. We're
going to have a Doze Commission that's going to identify
where every dollar is spent, and we're going to My
executive budget will be one of the leanest in the
history of this state. People are tired of not putting

(12:25):
first things first, and I will do that, and I've
got a history of it serving in Congress. We've turned
the tide in Congress toward conservatism, the freedom Caucus ass
and we can do it in South Carolina. And that's,
to be honest, that's why I'm excited, that's why I'm running.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Well, I know that maybe you're just better at diplomacy
than some of our previous governors. But we've seen I
think it was Mark Sanford that came in with pigs
because he wanted to point out how much port was
being spent in our budget. And as you mentioned, we've
got a super majority. I mean, you would think the
Republicans will be able to get on the same page.
How do you work with other Republicans supposedly when we

(13:02):
know most of them act like Democrats in order to
make sure that they do follow your lead on this
without having to push back like they did with Stanford
and Carol Campbell to some degree in so many different ways.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Well, I'm lucky because I don't owe the establishment anything,
the lobbyists, I don't owe anything to so to change
the system, you can't be a part of it. I'll
do it in two ways. I'm on exercise vico when
I have to, and I'm going to speak directly to
the people South Carolina to advocate for what is common

(13:34):
sense to me. You mentioned it is it fair to
travel on roads that have the highest fatality rate on
our secondary roads? No? Is it fair to have bridges
falling down? No? Is it fair that we've got an
electricity problem. We've got we've got an electrical problem in
this state, and you know you've got we've got a

(13:55):
second palls on having everybody come to South Carolina and
not not make the government do things. That is responsibility anyway,
and I will just do that and is common sense
to me. But as I found out in DC, common
sense business still common.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Talking with Ralph Norman and you kind of famously came
out and supported Nicki Haley's run for president, and she's
still one of the most popular governors that we've had
in recent history. Is there a discussion maybe that Nicki
Haley would be a part of Ralph norman administration or
acting as an advisor in any role?

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, Nikki's supporting me here, and I was loyal to
her because she's supported me and when I first ran
for Congress against the trial lawyer. Yeah, Nikki can play
whatever role she would like to play. She's a businesswoman.
She's got to impressive track record, particularly recruiting quality businesses
to the state. So if that's something she would want

(14:56):
to do, absolutely, And you know, I look, it's all
hands on deck when it comes to fix my problems here,
and Nikes a valuable part of it. And I think
Donald Thump with what he's doing at the federal level,
is a part of South Carolina's prosperity because the rise
and tide lists all boats and we've got so much
to be grateful for and thankful for living in this

(15:18):
great state, and we have to keep it that way.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
You know, you mentioned corruption a few minutes ago, along
with waste, fraud and abuse, and one of the things
that I think South Carolinians are just getting so tired,
they're getting disengaged totally with the process because they're frustrated.
It just seems like outside of the General Assembly, on
our county levels, not just the sheriff's departments, we've had
three of those arrested recently on corruption charges, but our

(15:42):
county councils seemingly work without having to be accountable to
anyone other than possibly not being re elected. We need
to have some serious investigation as some of the things
going on with our county council members around here there's
a lot of corruption happening.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
That's the reasons that I really am excited about coming
back to South Carolina. You know, I will not be
silent when it comes to recruiting good, solid business people
to serve on the city council or county council, Planning Commission,
school board. I mean, you're only as good as your
weakest link. And I got involved in a sheriff's race

(16:21):
in Rocky in York County elected a great guy who
marine was a decorated police officer. And I get involved
in local races, and I'm gonna recruit good people and
I will use my voice and not be stared do it.
And I could care less you know what the fallback

(16:43):
on or the criticism is. I'm going to push for
good people to get involved, because again, it all goes
back to who you put in office. And that's why
we've got to get the bad ones out. And I
don't care whether the Democrat or Republican. You get them
out if they're not doing the job. And I will
advocate for that. And it I mean, and why not

(17:04):
as governor, You're the CEO of the state. We will
not elect another government til twenty thirty four because in
combers typically go back in. We can't risk South Carolina
standing on the sidelines while we get overrun.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Congressman Ralph Norman with us. And you know, it sounds
like you haven't been very happy with the way the
current administration has been run here in South Carolina. Is
are there any decisions that McMaster has made that you
would have done differently?

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Well? Government Master loves South Carolina. I mean he knows
history of the state. He loves the state. Now would
I have would I have addressed the recent five hundred
and twenty five million bought the debt that the bonding
authorities came up with. Would I have pushed an electric
car company, an electric car company which most people are

(17:55):
not buying electric cars, and giving them a billion five
I disagree with him on pushing to to let scouts
sell directly to the consumers. That's not fair to the
existing dealerships in this state. But I mean he loves
the state. I give him that, and he's been a

(18:16):
good spokesman. But now with what's happening in other parts
of the country in New York, California, are and guess
where these people are coming. They're coming to South Carolina
for a lot of them are coming to the South.
But South Carolina's got everything that California used to have,
and under liberal leadership, California is now cesspool. I'm not

(18:39):
letting South Carolina get like that. California is the poster
child for liberal leadership, and we've got to have strong conservatives.
And I've just got a record that I'm proud of
and we'll back it up here in the state.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Well, I'm getting excited about hearing about of the bab
when you go start bringing issues like distribution of electricity,
creation of electricity, the way that we hand out some
of the these dollars to corporations like Electric car As
as you mentioned, and some of the other issues in
particular with the road. So I think a lot of
South Carolinians will be tuned down because this debate is
going to be interesting as we pick a Republican primary

(19:12):
candidate to run for governor. And I know that you're
busy today in rock Hill, and I can't wait to
hear about when the government reopens because we finally figure
out a way to get this done and get our
people back to work and our government back to working
for us. Thank you again for your time and we
appreciate We hope to see you soon in Columbia. Come
to the studio and see us.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
I would definitely do that. Thank you all for what
you're doing.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Thank you Congressman oh As always. Thanks again to our
US Congressman Ralph Norman in this particular case, another persons
who call the program, We'll appreciate you sharing and we'll
TikTok the countdown his own thin I say, now past
thanksgiving us, how long this is going to lock down?

Speaker 3 (19:46):
I really thought it would cave shortly after the No
King's protest, because that's what I felt like they were
holding out for. There's really but again, you know what, look,
maybe we should blame Donald Trump in this instance, because
what the goal of the Democrats, according to Chuck Schumer
and you know Hakeem Jeffries and others, was to hurt
like the American service members. They wanted to hurt the elderly.

(20:10):
They wanted to hurt anybody who they could hurt so
that you could feel the pain. And once you felt
the pain, perhaps we could blame Donald Trump for it.
But then Donald Trump mitigated it by paying for the
moms to feed the children. He paid for that, then
he paid for the military members. He then opened up
the parks. As we pointed out, you couldn't have had
the No King's protests in DC without Donald Trump's favor,

(20:33):
so he mitigated it, which is going to extend it
because it's going to take longer now for the American
public to feel the real pain, which is again always
the goal of the Democrat Party. Give you pain and
then tell you that we can get you out of
the pain.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
And you're right. I mean a lot of people were
saying that they really are holding out for this big
day when they had seven million and maybe we'll see
that number hold Kelly, as they claim it.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Well, the mainstream media will do everything they can to
back that up. But again they didn't get any favors,
at least in South Carolina, where most reports have three
thousand in Charleston, somewhere between four thousand between Spartanburg and Greenville,
and less than two thousand in Columbia. So less than
ten thousand for the great state of South Carolina poured
out into the streets to say nothing.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
So South Carolina, yeah again, but we're celebrating SC two
fifty on a beautiful day. Yes, a beautiful and as
it turned out, for those game Coop fans or Clemson
fans who were thinking, should I go to the protest
or should I watch the game? If you chose the.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Price, I should have gone to the No Kings protest.
I would have had a better time with the No
Kings protest. And I did the dang football game.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Oh wow. I didn't want to talk about.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
That, and I'm sure the Clemson fans feel the same way.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
I wish it shocked. I couldn't believe it.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
I mourned for our state because we suck at No
King's protests, but more importantly, we suck at football.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
I even talked to someone on Saturday taking a walk
and she had said she was going to watch the
Clemson game, but she decided she was going to go
do something else instead because there's not gonna be much
of a game. She was anticipating the walk off.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
I mean, what like before the game, I was. I
did the pregame on thing on Friday with Teddy on
Sports Talk fourteen hundred, and he was like, well, does
it change your calculus that they're talking a little bit
about maybe Kate Klubnick not gonna play, and I'm like,
it doesn't matter. SMU is averaging like twelve points a game.
Your defense is going to your def You might not
even put your offensive unit out there. You should be

(22:27):
able to beat them. You should be able to get
a couple of pick sixes and win the ball game.
But that did not happen.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
And why do I confuse it? I believe it's Presbyterian College. Okay,
they started off undefeating. Is that PC? It could be.
I don't know if they won over the weekend or not,
but this will be the best start they've had since
nineteen fifty eight. So I guess we're all Blue Hose
fans now.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Coastal's having a bad year.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
I heard. Yeah, I don't really pay much attention to it.
And the Citadels, like, I think they're kind of like
fifty to fifty.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
That's just so Gonde typical Citadel, isn't it. I mean
they're not. But again, if you're not in the what
I guess we call them the Power for now. If
you're not in one of those conferences, I don't really
pay any attention to you.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
So anyway, all right, So not a great weekend for
game Colls. Not a great weekend for tigers. Donald A.
Trump seemed to have that tweet he put up was hysterical.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Which one he put up a lot, the one where
he's the king. Yeah, you know, a good job everyone.
I'm wondering if Donald Trump's getting nervous because now they're
talking about it on MSNBC right now that the the
what is going on with that hunting stand, and they're
saying that Trump's security had a lapse. So Secret Services

(23:45):
on notice as we speak that they're going to have
to again. If you haven't heard that story, apparently Saturday night,
Sunday morning, something like that is when Secret Service, I guess,
was doing another check of the woods near Palm Beach
where his plane lands and they found a deer stand

(24:05):
that was apparently constructed specifically to kill Donald Trump. And
they think it was built on Thursday. And so thankfully
he didn't land anytime between Thursday, Friday or Saturday, because
he would have been in great danger at that point.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yes, it is PC and they won again over the weekend.
So there's seven and there's seven victories in they're they're
an undefeated streak here. Well that's good. I'm a PC fan.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
Suddenly we're all PCs.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
You know, we're all wearing blue host poor run blue hose.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Poor Clemson and Gamecock fans. I gotta go buy some
PC merch.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
And I know some PC graduates and they they're just beaming.
They're wearing the PC ties.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
How's Newberry doing this year?

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Are they doing all right? You know they just won
their hundredth and their one hundredth football game under coach
night Todd.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
His wife used to work here, and so we're we're
all Newberry fans. I still the Indians, which makes people cringe,
but that's who they are to me, not the Red
Wolves or whatever they call themselves.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
They're the Indians. And why is it somebody had a
great question the other day. I forgot who posed this.
Why is it that we are very prideful of our
Tomahawk missiles but we can't call them the Redskins?

Speaker 3 (25:21):
I mean, why are they still the Atlanta Braves?

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I mean?

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Why is Florida State, you know, still the Seminoles. I
mean it's because that's one of the more frustrating PC things.
We're the only people who were offended were the liberal
white women who were out there with the No Kings days.
They're the ones who are offended by the Redskins.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Yes, Newbery won against Morris Hill thirty eight to twenty four.
