(00:12):
Well, hello, hello, hello, welcome to another round to raise Boom
boom room. I'm your host rayMancini here with my Ace Cornerman Cutman my
case. Um, Mike, wegot a very special guest today and right
up your waist from your area andwe're gonna get to him in a minute.
But a couple of things I wantto talk about, um is the

(00:34):
fights, uh this past week, the ones on the Zone that one,
yeah, the one you know AndyRuise and Anthony Joshua. I don't know
if anybody watched the fight. Ifyou gotta have the Zone app, Um,
I watched it. Andy Ruise isone of our fighters on the PBC.
UM. But nothing for nothing. It was a stinking fight. Yeah,

(00:57):
it was a stinking fight. Andum, I'm gonna our guest about
that because I was disappointed that bothsides, neither one, I mean,
this was a fight, were whatthey could say. One guy scared,
the others glad of it. Yeah, one guy did nothing, the other
guy did less. I mean itjust I was so disappointed in the fight
and how it turned out. Anduh, it's just it's just it was

(01:19):
a non event for me as afighter. You non event, but now,
but the Heavyway championship is back inJoshua's court and we got um Janti
Wader fighting Tyson Fury February twenty second, and then the winner of that supposed
to fight what if Joshua. SoI hope that's the case. But you

(01:41):
know, as boxing always goes asa lot a lot of things that get
involved in between, you know, boxings that the boxing is the theater of
the absurd, happens anyway. Buttalking about that, Um, you got
to fight, and we're gonna talkto our guests about that. Coming up
a big fight, uh the twentyfirst of this month in California and Carson,

(02:05):
the rematch between Tony the champion TonyHarrison and the former champ, uh
Jemel Charlo, who Tony beat thefirst time in a controversial decision by many,
but according to Tony, where's nocontroversy. But it will be the
rematch and if the fight, ifthe fight is half as good as the

(02:27):
press conferences, it'll be a fightof your candidate. You said, this
comes the best, and we'll askour to talk to our guests about those,
because the press comes the best I'veever been to or seen or heard
it was they were. They wereall good anyway. But okay, so
well, no further due. Let'sget to our guests. Now, let
me give you the We'll give himthe build up. Our next guest is

(02:49):
young. He's he's a local guyin a sense that he's from northeastern Ohio
from Akron, where you're from yourarea area, went to Stow High School.
He was an All Conference football playersjunior senior. I knew he was.
I knew he was a baller.I knew he was a great athlete.
Um he was also he was bornin Akron, born in Akron,

(03:10):
and he was in the amateurs youknow from northeast Ohaw. He competed as
a middleweight right but then as apro as a walter weight and probably has
him over theweight matches on the wayup junior walt junior uh walter wait I'm
junior um middleweight probably one fifty fiftyone fifty two on the way up.

(03:34):
But he won the Walterwaite title twice. He won but again uh he won
the world going gloves champion as anamateur and then termed pro and since what
two times walterweight champion he beat firstbeat Devin Alexander for the waldweight Championship and
then came back and beat I believehe's gonna correct me from Danny Garcia version

(03:59):
of the Waterway champion and now,uh, he just finished what many people
consider fighting the year a candidate, which absolutely was. And he is a
record of thirty wins, four losseswith seventeen knockouts. Former um Waterway Champion
in the world. Uh is ananalyst on Fox, PBC, on Fox.

(04:24):
I worked with him now a fewtimes and probably more than anybody else,
of course, and he's gonna he'sgonna have a great, bright future
in announcing when it's all said done. He's gonna be able to do any
whatever he wants when his career isdone, because he not only is he
a terrific athlete, he's a terrificperson. Great personality. Uh, great
smile, just a wonderful person.Uh. My friend and former and former

(04:48):
champion in the world, Sean ShowtimePorter, showtime time. You're there,
right, you say former one time? Next time I see you, I'm
gonna give you one. That's it. Yeah, I know what no,
no, what shan I got toyou do? I do gott apologize for
it because I but people say formerchampion, and I just say no,

(05:11):
well, yeah, I'm not fightingnow. Dave say, this's a say
champion for you know, he's hewas champions, the champions. The champion
will never go on to champion champion. Yeah that's true. Okay, that's
like president, when you get thepresident, where your leaves the president still
president, mister president. So whenyou leave John, I'm say a champ.
That's a beautiful feeling. That reallyis. When people still call me
champions, it is and it's weird, and it's like the president. You

(05:32):
still call mister president. That's right. So are you a are you thirty
three and one or thirty and four? Just we want to be accurate.
What's your I believe my record isthirty three and one. I do have
one draw? Got a draw? All right? You just want to make
sure thirty and thirty three, thirtythree upside my back, my back,
my back, thirty three lasts andone draw one three yeah, okay,

(05:54):
all right. I do it withseventeen because he's coming from Las Vegas,
Las Vegas. Yes, Sean showto put now, Sean, what have
you been on? You know? You just you're in the gym, trending
for not not a specific fight, but just keep yourself together, right,
Just are you just eating the buffetsbecause your gym? Nah? I just
got home, all right, sohere here's the school. I just got
home from my track workout. Igotta go back out in a couple of

(06:16):
hours and get one more workout inat the bottom gym. Um. When
you guys called me to do thesound check and all that kind of stuff,
I was actually in the shower andmy fiance was holding the phone.
That's why. That's why you hadto echo. That's why he was like,
Yeah, I feel like we're inaround Yeah, Ray, I'm not
positive that if I sent you myinvitation or not the ready. But we'll

(06:39):
be getting married in in a coupleof weeks, I know. And yeah
in Vegas. Yeah, yeah,I'll here in Vegas. Yeah. So
we're actually about to do our ourfood tasting. Now. Well I'm bubble
book. Well let me just sayI met your fiance and she's a lovely,
lovely woman. Uh. And that'syou know, you're your class and

(07:00):
you're a wonderful guy. So Iexpected two lovely people being married. That's
what you want to say, twobeautiful people being married, It makes for
a beautiful life. Do you areyou gonna have any elvis Is at the
wedding right now? Like that?Don't do that, man, don't do
that. No. No, we'rewe're we're we're you know, people from
northwest northeast Ohio. We are classy, top notch people. So I'm gonna

(07:24):
have a classy top wedding. Rollsout. Yeah, that's it, man,
Just nice wedding, lovely people. No, no gimmicks to Elvis a
personators and you know, come on, man, I mean, look,
I gotta say this, Sean.I've said, is anybody gets married at
Vegas at the Elvis chump Chapel withElvis as your best man is not long,

(07:47):
It's not. It's kind of doomfrom the beginning, kind of doom
from the beginning. Us right, you'll you'll appreciate this right we're having.
We're gonna be doing karaoke at thewedding. Karaoke king. Sean's a karaoke
king, Is that right? Whenyou're out there for fight? Before that
he in fighted everybody at karaoke.I didn't get to go because because that's

(08:09):
some friends out he loves you wantto karaoke? And ever he's a karaoke
king. What's your koke? Uh? The go to song right now has
been um has been a new addition, Uh, mister telephone man and the
rains? No? Oh oh?Can you you know it? Right?

(08:30):
You hear the rain? Can youhear the rain? That one? That
one that's something like that? Yeah, not like that ray, but something
like that. Not quite. ButI can't do everybody, man, I
you know, I know the songs, but man, I can hold a

(08:50):
tune to carry him out to savemy life. If you want to clear
out a room, let me getup the start singing. People don't run
for they start diving for the door. They dive for man. But it
yeah right, I heard you sayand and and I love the way you
put this. I might use thison on TV. You said one guy
did a little and the other guyguy did even less. Yeah that look,

(09:16):
I'm you know, I tell aboutI'm a lover of fighters, but
Andy, he's one of our fighters. He's a lovely guy. Really you
want to say, but I wasso, you know, Sean, here's
the thing, the fact any rateand he's not and he's not a swelt
guy as it is anyway, twoeighty two. When I heard that,
I said, that ain't good.But you know what, I didn't want
to give him any You know, look, if the brother brings that,

(09:39):
he brings it, he could stillbring it. He still got fast hands.
But my man did absolutely nothing. And you know what, here's the
thing, Sean, I'm a forblok. Learn. You gotta learn how
to cut off the ring. WhenAge Dundee used to say, when the
guys playing ring around the rosie, that's all he did. Andy was following
him playing ring around Rosie. MurphyGriffins, you know you used to stop

(10:03):
telling me how to walk a guydown. You walk over this right making
Colda's left. You walk him downin the z Z formation than to your
corner. And he did nothing. And I'm so disappointed. But here's the
thing after that, and it botheredme. It bothered me because Andy got
on and he got on social mediaand he give the meal Kalpa. I

(10:24):
don't want to apologize to my fans, and I know he felt bad.
I want to pologize my fans.I'm sorry to let you down. So
but this is what he said.Next time I'll take it more serious and
I'll train harder. How the hellcan you not take the Headway Championship of
the World serious? Are you shipping? Come on, don't it? No,

(10:46):
no, shut shot. That's whatbothers me. Now, you're a
Jim rat. You're always I tellyou, you never cheat the fans.
You always give me and that's allyou want. The fans expect when they
see people, you know what you'rebuying. I will hope when they saw
me fight, they know what they'rebuying. They know when they see you
fight, they know what they're buying. They know they're gonna get guys in
shape, respects to support and gonnagive him an action pack coming and bringing

(11:07):
it every time. You know that, Andy, you apoloze for not taking
it serious. That bothered me.He's fighting. You're the heavy champion.
The role you're fighting for, theheavy champion rule defended. You made another
good pit day. He made agood first one when he fought for the
title. Second payday made nice payYou got a chance to set for the
rest of your children's grandchildren's life. And you don't take it serious, and

(11:31):
then says right, oh my god, and yeah, listen, right and
this is where I sit. Isit in a position where I feel like,
not only am I doing what Ido for myself, for my family,
to feed my family, to caremy family, all that kind of
stuff, my legacy, all that. Yes, I'm also doing this for
the future of boxing. Yeah, but I do now what what me and

(11:56):
Errol Spent did just a couple ofmonths ago unbelievable. That was for box
Yeah, that was for for peopleto say boxing is great. Boxing has
guys that hit hard, that arefast, that are gonna give it all
a god, that are gonna makeadjustments. I mean, when you watch
a fight like Errol Spence versus ShowtomSean Porter, you if you're if you
are a fan of boxing, youenjoyed it. If you are not a

(12:18):
fan of boxing, you enjoyed it. If this was your first match that
you ever attended, you would therewas no way you weren't going to enjoy
it. And it was because myselfand Errol Spence do what all these guys
should do, which is prepared forwar and give it all we got and
enjoy doing it. And that waswhat we didn't get from it from Andrew
Louise, which was very disappointing.Well, you know, and that's the

(12:41):
thing, and you know all theseenglishmen and and I I didn't put it
down. I'm not I'm not bigon social media, but a lot of
times after fights I put the fatthere because you gotta call people out.
And and and Anty Josh was he'she's prosing. I mean, he's posing,
he's primping these friends. And soyou this shit either do nothing.
You did absolutely nothing. You stickout, but the other guy did last.

(13:03):
So there you go. Much won'tlet me ask you this? You
guys, and you and I justlywant to say this, ladies and gentlemen.
I do want to say Sean Porterand Arrow spends put on a fight
of the year. I do wantto talk about Sean real fast. But
the Fight of the year a candidate. It was in September twenty eighth pay
per view on Ships and Fox andyou know Errow was was a favorite of

(13:24):
that fight. But Sean, Imarried you at the way in I marriage
at the press conference. You knowyou're you're very class Yet does I tried?
I used to try to be becauselike people, guys used to try
to disparage me and make remarks andI go. I used to laugh,
say, man, when the bellrings, you're gonna see me all night
long. It don't matter what yousay, You're going to see me all
night long. And you're that typeof fighter, and Arrow was. But

(13:45):
that's my mind games. Of coursehe's trying to play because Arrol's a good
guy, he's a good brother. But you too, put on a show.
But you gave him everything anybody. You were in his chest. You
were, you were a junkyard dogin that fight. And the people,
as you said, the fans benefitedbecause both guys came prepared top shape and
and you and you know, Iwas so proud of what you accomplished.

(14:07):
And but you did and a lotof and a lot of people thought you
wanted to fight, a lot ofpeople thought you would to fight. Clearly
wanted to, you know. Andthat's the thing, that's the question.
It was controversial. It wasn't noclar cut win't for anybody, and certainly
not ire and so dyd I knowafterward they had been talking about a possible
rematch down the road. But then, of course, less than a month

(14:28):
later he got in that car accident. I don't know if you ever fight
again, and if he does,he's never gonna be the same. So
that's kind of you know, we'renot the window there. Yeah, I
agree. I think if he ifhe even if he does step in the
ring again, I don't think he'sgonna be the same. I think that,
you know, the time is goingto take for him to heal basically,
mentally, emotionally, psychologically from fromfrom what he's just been through.

(14:50):
I think it's a lot to comeback from. You know, we've we've
seen it in the past. We'veseen guys come back. Yeah. Thing
but but but but the you know, even carsidents, but this one that
is different, right, and andand and between and the cast of wealth
way so that they're now with youand uh, Danny Garcia, Mike Garcia
and of course our Keith Thurman. You guys are gonna be moving on.

(15:13):
You can make a problem. Alot of you ain't gonna be fighting at
the time by time comes back. So, you know, and the fight
they were talking about another fight they'retalking. I was, you know,
since he ain't doing it, I'dlike to see you do it because I
know you give him hell is TerenceCrawford. Terence Crawford is a bad boy.
But you guys, you and himwould be able to fight. And
I'll tell you what, you'd beup in his chest because he ain't stronger
than Arrow and he ain't a betterpuncher than Arrow. That would be the

(15:35):
fight they should try to make becausethey were talking about him and Arrow.
I do think that, Yeah,I do think that that fight. Um,
I do know that. You knowit's you know, it's been said
publicly that you know, uh,him and I do have a friendship,
and you know if that was aline that we we wanted to cross,
it will be between him and I. Uh, he's got a fight I

(15:56):
think this weekend or next next weekend, next week and he could fight.
He's a good guy and Terrence isa good guy, and so why not
make it because it could because himand Spence ain't happening because they were talking
about them too, that ain't happen. But no, I think you,
I think actually you and n itTerrence would be a better fight style stylistically,
it's a better fight because you're jugyard dog, but you'll be in

(16:18):
his chess where him and Errol wouldhave been a stylistic matchup. And yeah,
okay, Mike, I'm sorry,man, that's okay. I have
like seventy two questions, but I'llstart with listening and you can answer this
one too. Ray, But Sean, how much of a duty do you
have as a boxer to put ona show, Because the bottom line is,
you know, we're paid to win. You're not really paid to put
on a show. No, amI wrong? You paid to win.

(16:41):
But but this is what I'm realizing, especially leading up to the fight with
with Errol Spence, which I thinkmade the fight more special for me.
I recognize that I'm an entertainer justas much as I am. That's right,
an athlete or or or a boxerthat that's paid to win. I'm
paid to entertain as well. Andjust like those football players and those NBA
players get on court and field everyevery other day, some of them,

(17:04):
you know, they go out thereand they entertain us. Not only do
we look forward to the Browns winningor the Patriots whinning, we look forward
to being entertained. We look forwardto the big touchdown, the long the
long bomb, you know, thethe interceptions, turn back return for touchdowns,
things like that. And so Itook that into mind when I was
getting in the rain with Earl Spencesto say, you know what, I'm

(17:25):
just as much an entertainer as Iam a fighter. That's that's supposed to
win this this fight. And Idecided, you know what, when I
go out there, I'm gonna doeverything I can to win this fight,
but I'm gonna take some chances.I'm gonna do things that no one's ever
done to Earl Spence and I'm gonnamake this fight exciting. And you know
that's what where my mindset was goinginto the fight. And you did you
did you do chances? You haveto. I appreciate Sean saying that because

(17:49):
you we are entertainers. And Itell people, Mike, you said it's
about winning. I was telling people, you have an obligation. One is
to win for yourself. But it'show you win, it's how you win.
You look look perfect. Example.Riggindow Genimo Riggindou one of the most
proficient fighters. An amateur termbro fromCuba, he won a featherweight title on

(18:11):
HBO. You never saw him anHBO again, Why because he's stunk to
join out. Nobody wants to seehis style. He stinks stylistically, I
mean not not not he's a greatfighter style, he got talented. Stylistically,
it's terrible, it's no there's noaction. He tries to counter you,
he'll beat you, but he's noaction. He doesn't get that.
You have an obligation to the fans. That's a fight. Sean gets it.

(18:33):
You have an opplication to the fansto win first for yourself and your
family. Sue how you win toput on a show. If you're getting
paid to put on a performance, you got to put on a performance.
And as people don't get fighters don'tget that, and that bothers you.
But the fighters from the East Easternblock they get that. The Russians,
the Romanians of guys, they getit. They know they're in the capitalist
country now, not in a communistcountry. They get it. The Cubans

(18:56):
ain't got it yet. And ifyou're a high flying like if you have
a good style, you'll get morefights. Yeah, better people want to
see People want to see Shun supportershort time he puts on the show.
People want you. I think Ithink I tell me if I'm wrong,
Ray, But I think that's whatgets in the way of these English fighters
that try to come over here andthen and then never really bust out for
them. More times than not,I think that they get caught up in

(19:19):
trying to be entertainers him and makefights interesting and exciting, and they don't
know how to do that, andthey get and they get caught, they
get knocked out. They may winone or two, and then you know,
after that they're there. You know, their their careers going down.
I think it's because they get caughtup and trying to entertain and be exciting
and you know, be fan friendly. I think that being friendly and fan

(19:44):
friendly in the ring is something thatyou're born with. If you're not born
with it, it's something that youyou learn along the way. You think
it's something and you're you know, you're twenty six, you know I'm gonna
go out there. I'm right. It's something you were either born with or
or you learn along the way.You can't just wake up in the middle
of the night and think, oh, I'm gonna be an exciting, entertaining

(20:06):
fighter and it just comes to youlike that, Well, you're so,
you said it. I tell peopleit's like a guy who's a puncher.
You ain't You can't develop. Youcan't gain punching power. You can gain
strength, but you're either born puncheror you're not. Same thing with the
chin. Either you got the chinor you don't. You can't develop a
chin. You know. It's likeheart. Either have heart or you don't
have heart. So do things thattakes to be a great fighter. A

(20:29):
lot of heart, a good shin, and a good punch. You're born
with that. Fighters are born, they're not made. I've said that repeated.
I'm affirmly fighters are born. Youdon't you know, Sean, I'm
betimes. I tell you when peoplesay, well, I was thinking about
coming a fighter, I said,no, no, don't do something else,
because fighting comes. You don't gotto think about it. I tell
you boxing picks you. You don'tpick boxing. You're born with It's like

(20:52):
it's like it's like I tell youwhen you go pick at the animal at
the at the dog at the pound, the dog picks you. You don't
pick the dog. Dog You'll doYou'll come to you safety. If you're
born with that innatability, you're aborn athlete. Like you're a terrific athletes,
Sean. But you you were aguy who's gonna be at your your
you're an athletes, gonna perform.I was, I was an athlete,
but you know I want but youyou perform, you put on a show.

(21:15):
You know, I played football.I wanted to hit people. I
wasn't gonna sit back or don't playfootball. And even when I played basketball
hit people. Yeah, so howhow did you? How did you pick
boxing instead of football? Because youcould have played in college? Right,
yeah he could have Sean he saidyou could have played. Yeah, you
know I could have. Um.Yeah. For for me, it was

(21:36):
it was really just a decision thatwas based all around on how I would
be where I would be uh mostuh success uh successful? Yeah, thank
you? For me, it waswhere I would be most successful. So
for those that don't know, Iplayed actually played ball for two different high
schools, and and both those highschools that I attended were five five teams,

(22:00):
four or six teams. Took timewhen we can't, dude, I
think you know what boxing I can. So you know what I control?
Ten other guys playing as hard asI play. Yea. And my favorite
part of football is also the partI hated the most. I love the

(22:22):
camaraderie. I love the team butI hated that I didn't know whether those
eight or nine or ten guys weregiven it as much as I was given
it. And I was like, yeah, I can't. My dad and
I said, you know what Ican control boxing. I can control my
faith. I know what's gonna happen. I said, we know what's gonna
happen when I get in the ring. We don't know what's gonna happen when

(22:44):
I get on the football field. And my dad said. My dad said,
all right, if that's what youwant to do, then then don't
do it. And that was reallyhow I decided whether or not I would
play play boxing. But you know, to go back to what Ray said.
Ray said, you boxing ticks you, you don't kick boxing. So
yeah, I decided to box.But things like being um competitive, things

(23:07):
like having a spirit not to stopor you know, having a drive to
win, uh, you know, getting hit and understanding you know what's gonna
happen when you get hit, andyou know how to make somebody avoid punches
and things like that. Box thatreally didn't choose me in a lot of
ways, you know, And andI'm glad that this is what I what
I decided. Um I would allowU to to uh control my life and

(23:32):
my destiny. Let me um,let me ask you about your style a
little bit, because Ray talks abouthow you get inside and get up on
the guy's chest. Did you kindof develop it that way or was there
a trainer that pushed you in thatdirection because he thought you'd be better at
that? Or how did how didthat style come about? His father's Yeah,
you know what Ray uh and umit when I started pressuring guys and

(24:00):
I saw that they couldn't handle it, I started it made guy was very
uncomfortable and uh and I and Isaw that it was it was. It
was tough. And not only isit tough for those guys, it's also
tough for me to do. Butunderstanding what that kind of style, what
it would do the other guys, knowing that you know, at the end,
my hand would be raised, Istarted to do it more and more.

(24:21):
And the more and more I didit, I saw that, you
know, it gave more and morepeople trouble and it kind of became who
I am, and uh, Ido. I pride myself on punching without
stopping. I pride myself on,you know, walking through guys's toughest shots
and letting them know that I'm relentlessand I'm not gonna stop. You know,
That's where I pride myself on.And you get this kind of transformed.

(24:42):
Really it is as you should, because I tell the truth, a
lot of people did do you andbe able to take earls punches, and
you only took them, you walkedthrough them. Just what you said a
good way to putting them. AndI'm gonna tell you what, you took
his heart away a little bit.I don't care what they say. As
a fighter, I know when you'rewalking through guys punches, you're taking this
heart of a little by little. But you know he's I said that.

(25:03):
I said that in this fight, experience would show up, and I've actually
had that experience. When I washitting the guy with my toughest, hardest
shots and he was walking right atme, wasn't going anywhere, and I
remember thinking to myself, what's goingon? Am I gonna be able to
beat this guy? I remember havingthat that that thought in the ring,
and then I remember like towards theend of that fight, I said,

(25:25):
no, I'm gonna beat this guyended up getting a drug against Julio Diaz.
We rematched and I beat him andI and I remember having that moment
in the ring and I said, you know what, I'm never gonna have
that moment again. And so whenit came time for me to fight Errol
Spence, I said, you knowwhat I'm gonna I'm gonna present that that
moment to him. And he's neverhad that moment before. And when that

(25:47):
moment comes up, he's not gonnaknow how to deal with it. And
I do I agree with you,right? I think in some ways I
did take his heart and I reallychallenged him in ways he's never been challenged.
And that's true. Now he'll bea better fighter because of that if
he ever comes back to fight.God forbid, God willing, God willing.
But but you did I said thatthirty five. I said, he's
taking us out away a little bya little because he expected to get shut

(26:07):
out of here long before this. But he can't. And that's what he
could. And you not only tooka shot, you walked through. Did
you. That's that's hard on aguy, man? Are you, Sean,
Are you over that fight yet oris it still? Does it bother
you or you did you feel like, hey, I did the best I
could and that I'm good with it, or how do you feel about it
right now? No, Sean wantsto do round round thirteen. It's something.

(26:29):
It's definitely yeah, it's definitely lingering. Yeah. We talked about it
yesterday. So uh uh my coachWay was in the gym with me,
and um what I told Wait?I told Way that, uh, you
know, I regret it, um, you know, not not uh not
taking some some um, some ofthe right movements that that we have packeded
so on. I didn't use someof those movements, and I said,

(26:51):
you know what, that didn't showup enough in the ring. What's nothing?
Man? You know, Sean,It's funny when I when I said
my first losses against Aguayo, andpeople talk about what a great fight it
was, right, I said, yeah, I'm not proud of it.
You know, experienced one out. It's this experience one guy. When I
watched the fight. Now that bothersme, is I that's what experience does.
Little by little, as the roundsI was in his chest, you

(27:12):
know, for the first five rounds, little by little he started separating himself
from me, and I never noticedthat until at the end when I caught
it at the end of the twelfthrove with the right hand, and because
he said I made him miss onehundred right hands. But he kept separating
himself a little by little, andI used to be on his chest,
and a little by little, youcan see I'm separated, I'm stepping,
I'm a little further back, alittle further back, and then he founded

(27:33):
distance with that right hand, andthat's that's that's a that's an experienced thing
I found out. And you don'trealize that, you know, and you
get mad at yourself. But Itell people, you get it's hard when
you're in the ring. You don'trealize those things. It's your cornered people
that tell you you gotta close thedistance, right, you gotta close existence
Sean, you know third of theones you're telling you that. And even
though they're telling you that, youknow you have to do it, it's

(27:56):
it's hard to put it implement thosethings in the mid over fight. Yeah,
And I just remember one of thosethings that we had worked on in
the gym, right you you,I'm sure you know something about it is
doubling up with with both hands. So uh, you know, normally what
what's through a double jab in theright hand, but what about a jab
and a double right hand, youknow, and that that that second punch

(28:18):
is the punch that not many guysexpect, and that's usually I punched that
land and I was hitting the bagyesterday and I was telling way, you
know what I hate that I didn'tdouble up with my right hand more and
throw double right hands or or twohooks to two right hand, two right
hooks and then two left hooks, and and really you know, mix it
up more. And that was youknow this this there's always gonna be something

(28:42):
in a win or or lost.Definitely a loss that you're gonna think about
and meditate on and regret, youknow, wish you had another chance and
stuff like that. But you know, at the end of the day,
when when when the fight is asexciting as it was, and you know
you did just about all you coulddo, you really not much you live

(29:02):
with in terms of regretting. Butyou know the funny thing you said that
Sean, that double right hand, when you did use it, you caught
it with him. You caught himwith it every time. You caught him
with it. Every time because thatwas I hadn't seen you. I had
seen you through that before as often, but you threw it a lot during
that fight, and you caught himwith it every time. Hey, Ray,
listen, I'm I just got myfood tasting, and I gotta get

(29:25):
out of here. Okay, okay, we heard. Now we have people
in the background. You gotta comeback. You gotta come back. I
got more questions. We're gonna getyou back. I appreciate you back every
week. I appreciate you. Iwon't be like the mother. I won't
be like the mother in law, won't leave. But I'm gonna bother you
again sometime. But I can't thankyou enough for your time. Thank you,
my brother. I truly appreciate it. And I'll see you soon.

(29:45):
Brother Sam, thank you, thankyou, thank you. How about that?
There's a job? I about that? Do you think I want to?
How much I appreciate him doing that. He's got a million things I
wanted to go into. Anybody that'sever married knows that it is a hectic
time. And you ain't gonna meetEmma Tullas. You ain't gonna meet a
classier person. And I'm gonna tella story about meeting him in a second.

(30:07):
But you can tell classier person andthis guy right here and uh and
and a more wonderful person and happy. He always got a smallest face people.
You know when he does commentary, the guys that fused him when they
did, you know, before Idid commentary, I do with everyone of
the fighters. They want to givehim all a chance, but they actually,
I guess they audition these guys andthey ordered down to three, and

(30:29):
Sean was he was the top choice. Oh yeah, so he's a natural
for it, and I think that'swhere he's gonna be headed. When itself
said none but tell me story.Now I don't have a story. I
just my next question to him wasgoing to be do you think they got
that decision correct? Or does hethink he won that fight? Oh?
Absolutely, that was going to bemy question. Absolutely. I feel like
he's resigned to the fact that hedidn't do enough to win it. I'm

(30:51):
just hearing. Maybe I'm wrong.I think he thinks he won the fight,
because I don't think he disputes thathe won the fight. I just
think you could have made it moreclear, maybe turn the other judges.
Yeah, I think he thinks hewant to fight, but maybe fight had
them more of this they were.So I clearly won the fight, and
I understand that, you know, and uh, you know I actually it
was a pick him fight. Errol, you know, fought his ask,

(31:12):
but Sean was hitting him some shots. He Arrow never got hit like that,
and Sean was in his chest pushinghim back. Tolf. You know.
At the end of the fight,Sean was coming on Arrow throwing more
punched an Arrow. So it's oneof them fights. Feeling wow, I
mean, it was a pick offight. I don't like watching judging,
you know, I'm not that judgingas a watch. I just watched the
fight. You're not scoring, scoringright and all that stuff. But Sean

(31:33):
was pushing back and nobody does thearrow. He had a year. I
mean, he wanted to fight againstUgas. That was close. Well,
I'm thought, and you want theother direction. And then he lost to
fight. I said, he beatUgas. Now, Sean, I worked
with Sean. Let me tell youI had more worked with him. This
was last last year Sean fought.Uh you're in this Ugas march from Cuba

(32:00):
and it was in Vegas and umoh, I'm sorry. I wasn't a
d. It was in LA.It was like in Carson Center. I
did't cars down to Carson to HomeDepot Center, and it came to me,
you know, and I've learned,and look, I'm a commentator.
I've learned. One reason I thinkpeople like what I do, or why
I was hired, is because Italked as the everyday fan, like I'm

(32:22):
wanting guys that I throw stuff atthe TV. I still do. I
do. I throw pillows TV.I told things when I'm aggravated when I
don't hear what I want to hear, but I don't hear the commentator saying
what I think they should be saying. So I talked like that and they
said to fire. I thought theysaid, I thought Sean. I said,
I thought Sean lost to fight onlybecause I thought I was wondering.

(32:43):
But Ugos started to come out there, and Sean was boxing and boxing when
Shawn's and Goos, Guy Gougos couldn'thandle this pressure. I don't think Ugos
would have been able to hand thebreak, but Sean chose to box him.
He was now. Sean hit himclear enough shots. But I thought
Ugos was coming on and I justthought he had he got the decision,
asked me. I said, yeah, I thought on lost and I said,
now knock on him. I justknow, just just well we worked.

(33:07):
They said, well you know youworked with Sean next week, right,
Well that'll be interesting. Did heknow that you said that? He
oh, yeah, of course youwantched fightst fight, want to make sure
so we saw. It wasn't verywarm to me at first, and I've
got it. I understand sure, but he's a professional and he and as
the night went on we started doingour thing and then and then we never

(33:28):
brought up again, I think,And I said to him and I said,
oh I did thought. We didtalk about after I said, Sean,
you know, I said he wasI said, Sean, I understand,
I said, but I said,I'm glad you won because you're better
for boxing. Sean boxing is betterhaving Sean Porter as a champion. Shot
box is better having him him.I just that was that particular night.

(33:49):
I didn't thinking that, but he'sa professional and from that point it was
over and you know we we Ilove this kid, I genuinely genuinely having
affection for now. I tell people, you got he said to me,
Yeah, I know. Leo SantaCruz is your favorite fighter because I put
that my favorite fight as a Seanpresident company excluded, of course with that
president company excluded. But I lovethis kid man. I love him as

(34:15):
a person more than to have afighter. But as a fighter you can't
help but love him because he givesyou everything he's got. But as a
person, he's genuine. I wantedto talk going to it. We didn't
have the time. Him and hisfather, Kenny, was very special bond.
They are the they are the theyare the um. They're not the
norm in a sense, I said, um, I try to think of

(34:37):
a word about I said, they'rethe exception, not the norm, Beanie.
Fathers and sons usually don't work.My father told me, I've said
many times. Father. My fathertold me when I was a little bit,
A father should never be in theson's corner because emotions take over instead
of thought process. As a newcorner, you gotta be thinking. You
gotta be detached, so you couldbe the trainer and think properly, and

(35:02):
if the fighter is getting hurt, you stop it and you're fighter. As
a father, you can't, Idon't think you can't. I would see
my kids play games, and Imight might to jumping off my chest,
you know so, but you know, you know the Mayweathers that they know
they want to can't stand each other. They're hating each other. They're calling
each other out on facebo. Youknow it was bad. Shane Mosey,

(35:24):
We're the exception. We're gonna done. Shane Wenesday. He wanted to believe
in his father too. They hada bad phone, bad fall guy.
It got you know, um somany guys, Shane Mosey, um um
uh. A couple other people havedone it and it's gotten ugly. Sean
Porter and Kenny Porter the exception. There's a genuine love there, and genuine

(35:45):
because and Sean trusts his father trustexplicitly completely, which I and Kenny knows
his son better than anybody, whichis why my father say I know him
better anybody. Why should I setsomebody else trained him when I traded him.
But this is different, and theyhave a bond, and Sean performs
wether it's not a but even whenKenny coals to him in a way a
train should talk to a father afighter, Soan doesn't take a personally that's

(36:07):
my trainer talking. I mean that'snot my father talking to me. Yea,
he knows his father loves him andconditionally he knows his fun. They
are a special bond. They arethe exception, not the rule. I
admire what they've accomplished. I admiredwhat they've done because I would say again,
a father should not be in theson's corner. Shouldn't be. It
just doesn't work. Nine nine pointnine percent. The point one percent is

(36:28):
Kenny Porter and Sean that did That'sgood? Yeah, man, And I
wonder, I'm I think to myself, he's thirty two. Yeah, he's
getting married now. Yeah, andhow how much longer does he want to
do? You know what John's donewell with himself. He's done you good
money. He's made money, right. He's one of the top guys on
PBC and Al Hayman pays his fighteras well, pays his top dog as

(36:51):
well. But you're playing with fireevery time you walk in there. Yeah,
and he knows. And Sean's andgot a lot of big guys there
and he's fought them all. Idon't thieve anybody's has resume a Sean port
ass. He's fun every guy,the kids. Keith Thurman Danny Garcia.
He fought Paul him All, Naji, he fought everybody, Sean Spence,
Errol Spence, all those got hefought. He's probably the only one who's

(37:12):
fight everyone. Danny Garcia has afight everyone but Errol Spence, Keith Thurmots
fight but Errol Spence. Not thatthey don't want to fight Ypen. I
don't even wrong. It's tell whatI'm saying. They just have it.
He does have it. He gotto turn that. They just haven't got
the opportunity. But Sean ass andand then were not And he fought Broner,
Adrian Broner, and he fought kellBrook, you know, you know,
and and that's who he lost thetitle too. But he fought him

(37:35):
all. He didn't turn on over. Kell Brook was jacksually junior middleweight,
one to four, big stronger, and Sean fought him. He don't turn
nobody down. This kid. Hisconfidence level and his belief in himself is
off to hook. It's off toit's off to charts. That's what I
love about him. He al's fightanybody, you know. And he's only
five to seven, he mean himwere the same size, but he's a

(37:55):
bulldog's chest is as big it ishard to em him be so im how
much I admire and loved his kidas a person, not as a fighter,
as a person, but as afighter. I have a great and
love respect for him because he's agreat champion, because he gives it to
you every time. How much hesparred with Pakiou. Yes, he was.
That's how That's how I first methim. I was down at time,

(38:19):
going down to visit Freddie at thewild Card Gym in LA at the
Hollywood, which is now the mostfamous gym in the country. And I
had heard he was a you know, Sean Porter, and I know the
name from locally. I had heardedhim for years, had never been him
while I was in a gym,and then I was. I got Tapa
shot as Canny Porter Boom, CannyPort him from oh hey son, my
son Sean's you know. And Imet Sean and it was just so gracious

(38:42):
and warm to me, and um, yeah, that's how I made his
bones. He was a spark topsparn partner for pack him because he gave
Pacio everything and anything you want. How much can you learn from that?
Learn everything? Is that right? No? No, no, no,
no. You learn you learn watchingfighting when you're fighting the top guy like
Manny Paco and that's one Packyo waspacking out. It is prime. Yeah,

(39:02):
Sean was one of the spartan partnersevery time I had a guy was
with me every fight too, andduring my idea Joe Hernandez from because he
gave me every style I needed. And Sean was that type of guy for
a Manny. Yeah, and souh uh no, I mean he's great
experience. Experience gate from being inthe ring with the top guy pound for
pound guy in the world and you'reon the way up. You can't it's
at that experience is immeasurable. That'swhy he's afraid to fight anybody. You're

(39:25):
not gonna fight Erroo Spencer. Whywouldn't he? He fought people how many
hundreds hundred a round with many backyout right you know? So um Noah,
Sean's a special, special person. Not only is a special fighter,
but a special person and that's whatI admire by the most. He's getting
married, lovely, lovely fiance. They got a baby. The baby's beautiful.
They you know, he's got hisfamily with them. Whenever he travels

(39:47):
and Sean's known for his uh what'sthe word of thing is uh? You
knows he's a he's a he's aclose horse, much like I am.
I love that's fob and spectorial spectorialspectorials. That's the word spectorial splendor.
Yes, he's a fashion easte andhe comes up. My brother puts some

(40:10):
things together. But on him,it works. It works, man,
my brother, I love his fashionstatement. So we always makes the joke,
you know, and he's the he'sthe best dressed guy. We bring
on him up besides meybody. He'salways play. He looks I loved but
but as of all the fighters,he's the best. There's no die and
on Camray's number two behind me andyew joke on. I told him,

(40:35):
I said, you are you Today'sflavor you got you're young, you got
to look you can wear it.Me. I'm a classic elegance. Yeah,
I could sim a different classic,yes, because that's the stuff I
would have worn back in the day. I did wear the red shirt baking
on the shirts to beat Babo. Now I'm a little older. You gotta
be. You can dress your dressyour age. You know. It's true

(40:59):
goes for women, man, thatwhat was what's prince at acts? Not
your shoes? That's that's that,prit say the song? Right's I dressed
me? He's not my shoes.A lot of necklaces on at the same
time. I stepped three, steppedthree three, but shirt button on the
here all right open shirt three bingbing bing three and all three pride,

(41:22):
youngstime. Thing that was made forme. I had a dreaming on my
neck. No horn Italian horns.Yeah, I used it back there,
but then it didn't because I might, I might crucifix. I always wear
my cross. Gotta good yeah, good God with me all the time.
There was a pride of youngstime andthen or some some something else I don't
know. Yeah, but wasn't Itwasn't a horn, because yeah, I
did horn for a little bit. Then yeah, that's too much, too

(41:45):
much. He got three being beingbeing but Sean, where's the man?
And he pulls it off? Mybrother pulls it off. He pulls it.
I find it interesting that he hedoesn't have a fight scheduled at all.
He's got and let me finish it. He's got no fight. No,
he's got a testing today, tastingtoday. He's got a thousand things
going on. He's already been inthe track once. Remember they're three behind

(42:07):
us. He's already been in thetrack once, and he's gonna go back
and do another workout later today becausehe's a gym rat. Like I said,
he's always he's gone a ship.He respects the game, which we
talked about earlier. And I don't. I love Andy Ruiz as a fighter,
as a person I met, butman, Andy brother, I love
you man, but you you youwon me over when I saw you first
time I saw you. Hasn't gotthe trainer's fault. There's a lot when

(42:31):
you when the fighters making millions ofmoney and you're being on his payroll.
But that's what that's what they say. Well, how you could tell about
what that's your job as a trainer, the same saying, I don't care
if you're making you should make themost money. You're putting yourself online,
but as my job as a trainerto get your ass ready. That's right,
and you're asking ready, that's right. But you can't be eingno.
You know manudo with him, youknow every morning in the dot dot go

(42:53):
ball. You know he can't bedoing that stuff. What if I'm not
trying to get I'm making a joke, please, because I don't want you're
all my all, my premos man. That's that's that's not good man,
that's the you're to racist, nana Please. My kids are Cubans,
to forget it. My kids arepremos too. So yeah, um,
but but you know what I'm saying. You can't be like get me like

(43:14):
you'na like. He's two sixty asit was when he wanted taught. You
can't go up to two eighty two. You can get it, ain't like.
Come on, brother, and evenif you do it twenty two,
Andy, I love let your handsgo. Man. Look he thinks to
be taught, Randy. I'm tellingyou as a fun fighter, I love
him. Man. As a fighter, you got to learn to cut off
the ring. That's all that yougotta learn. You can't play ring around,

(43:37):
Rosie. You can't ring around aroundwhen you follow the guys. Joshua
had nothing for you. Yeah, nothing for you. I mean, strong
guy, but you would to beathim again. Let your hands learn to
cut off the ring. Pin himon the ropes. You walk him down
in the Z formation this way overhere, and pin him on a bang
that stay there man, and thenno, he's gonna tie you up.

(43:58):
Josh wouldn't do anything. He didn'tdo anything thing, But you didn't less
you did less? Come on,man, And I love Andy ruise,
man, I think, but Iwas so disappointed in that. Yes,
John, you're gonna say, brooh, yes you're gonna you know that,
you're gonna. Do you think youdrop dead? Fred? You want
to comment, I'm asking anybody,do you think he's jabbing? Jeff jabbing

(44:20):
Jeff gottah to say. No,we're gonna say. They let me know
when I ain't when I ain't doingthey let me know. Don't let you
know when you're done right right,do something? Man, you ain't doing
nothing. But now I'm trying totalk. I'm just letting you jump in
all right, Okay. Do youthink he went that way because he had
to? Like he was just tryingto extend the fight. He wasn't.
I wasn't prepared for it. No, No, and he I think at
some point knew we couldn't do itmore than what he was doing. So

(44:43):
he's going to let finish the fight. Yeah, brutal, That's what I'm
saying. Joshua wasn't gonna take himup. Joshua wasn't gonna it wasn't going
to, uh, you know, engage. There anything worse than two fat,
slow heavyweights and watching them and youdon't and bro to judge built like
body beautiful, but you don't wantto engage to tie you up. Hey,

(45:04):
let me tell you something. Fighters, anybody listened to the camera,
that's what I'm talking. You're onthis one, but I'm talking. I'm
talking to this this is our master, right, Okay, I'll do my
single one shot, one shot, just to know what, you know what,
And yeah, I'm gonna he's suingthe cannon. I just ready to

(45:28):
hear that he's suing the canons.N Cannon made some disparaging remarks in any
feelings heard any people. Look, man as a fighter, man respect you
win the world title, Jesus, respected as a champion. Respected. I
don't care where you come from.I don't care when you've come to the
body, o the hood, whatever. I respect for the championship once you

(45:50):
win it, man, with respect, with the sport, the chance,
that's your chance to get out toyour dreams, come to to set your
life for the future. For therest of your life. You don't got
to do nothing. Put your moneywhere. Let your money work for you.
You got to set up. Youcan set up for your kids,
kids, your grands kids. Man, come on, Andy, you're a
heavyweight. You could have made moremoney that first Mexican heavyweight. Come on,

(46:12):
man, you think he's hearing itfrom his fans and his family?
Oh my be gone on social mediaand he apologized to so obviously he felt
it. He's got to be.He felt that he let him down.
He's a fel You don't let afan. You don't let your fans down
when you go out to perform. You don't let your fans down go by
losing. No, you put yourheart online. You let your fans down
when you disrespect the sport. Youlet your fans down. When you don't

(46:32):
respect the championship like you should have, and you don't train like you should
have. That's respecting the sport andthe title. That's when you let your
fans on. So in that case, he was right. He should apologize
because not for losing, not forfor not perform, for not performing,
not performing the way he should haveas a champion. That's how how is

(46:54):
it that a boxer can train fora fight. We're training for a fight,
so we're in the him every day. Right, You don't take brakes
when you're training for a fight andyou gain twenty five pounds. How is
that even possible? Well, yousome guys do it if you, like
I said, eat like you're onelectric chair? Is that how? That's
how? There's no other way todo. When you're an athlete, you

(47:14):
don't all of a sudden game musclethat you gain you're eating. That's why
when you guys and then they haveto train down, come on. That's
why there's Look and he's a terrificfighter, good person. He's gonna come
be back. He'll be back strongor never. I know he'll be back.
Six says. I just don't wantto no, no, no,
But I don't know if he's gonnaget he's done. But if I'm Joshua,
I didn't fight him again. Ibeat you, got it back.
I'm moving on. And that's onething my trainer taught me. My manager

(47:37):
beat the guy unless there was acontroversial the first round. You move on.
You don't right, Well, didthey say whatever everyone wants to see
you? Right? Nobody don't payto see it again. So you move
on. And Joshua was talking abouthim the winner Wilder Fury will fight Joshua,
so that's the fight. But anyo, um, but right right?
How do you gain twenty five poundsby eaven like when you see like

(47:59):
a fat back basketball player, likeyou run up and down the court for
two hours every single day. Howin the world can you be here?
You don't by by You could gainweight easily losing as much harder, sure,
but to put on twenty something poundsand keep it on, it's hard.
It's difficult. Man. You gottaeat like you're you're you're a double
threat. That forking spoon. Triplethreat, that forking spoon. You're two,

(48:22):
you're two fisted attack. I meanit's and you're eating, drinking the
Servasa man, drinking things you shouldn'tbe drinking. That's how you keep it's
it's chloric intake. So if you'reputting an x amount of you know,
because you want to burn it on, but it's you know, how much
more chloric intake than your normal thatthat that burnie that you ain't burtniing on?

(48:43):
How much more? How much moredo you gotta eat? Right,
come on, man, you knowbut I don't want to jump out.
I love and Ruis as a fighter. Good guys, I know he feels
bad. I'm not trying to bebad. I know he feels bad.
And and knowing that how he wentfought, not only how he didn't fight,
I should say, and letting fence, that's that's pained enough that he's
got to know. He's got awhole country behind it. That's it.

(49:06):
And it's just respect the sport, respect and going and put it on the
line. No one's gonna re mind. You lose if you put it on
the line. If you come inand do it an invest you can.
That wasn't your best and you knowit and we all know it. And
that's all I just But that's,as you said, as a learning that's
a learning process. Yeah it is, but that's something that should have been
learned a long time ago. Letme ask you, let's go back for

(49:29):
a second. This child fight that'scoming coming. We talked about the press
conference, and we talked about beingan entertainer. Yeah, do you have
to when you go to these pressconferences? Should you be a little more
engaging, entertaining or press would youmake it fun, they say no.
They if the press conference over,if the press conference is better than the
fight, that's not good. Ifpeople remember press conference a lot more than

(49:50):
they But the reason why this presscomes there to promote the fight. But
but but these guys didn't have to. They genuinely can't stand each other,
genuinely hate each other. Jerry badsaying things you know, and and and
disparaging remarks. So having them acrossfrom each other when they did the face
off at the Fox studios, Idon't know how they did that without these
guys going reach it over the tablefor each other, It's gonna be a

(50:14):
war. Man. I got toknow both guys. Tony is a good
brother. I like them both.I mean, I've got to be friends
at every fighter because they work withme. Good good guys. Man.
I like them all. And Ithink I'm not picking a winner because I
think it's gonna be. I knowhow bad they want it. I know
how beat both of them want it. I know how bad both of them
can't send each other. And theyboth have uh. They feel they have

(50:34):
the secret to each other because Tony, he gives a headache, was a
headache for Charlot the first fight. He wanted a decision. Everyone thought that
Charlot worked them at the end,and that's I think Tony realized he's gonna
have to pick up the paces. How many more punches he throws, but
that you know, he's just let'spunch output and I'm sure you've worked on
it, uh And Jamal knows that. They Man, I'm not gonna leave
an a doubt for anybody. I'mgoing out and I'm going to take them

(50:55):
out next time. I mean Itried to take him out. I'm gonna
go out there and leave no doubt. So pop punch I'll put again.
So it's gonna be punched a bunchof about both guys. The differences I
think is both of you guys havea high boxing iu Q, very smart,
both fighters. Um, it's gonnacome down to styles and and both
guys stylist ticket wrong for each other. You know, the pressure is not

(51:17):
good for Tony and the stylistically Tonyis not right for Jamal. So it's
just it's it's a great fight,man, It's just gonna said it lives
up half half as much as whatthe press comments were. We're gonna have
a fight to your candidate and trustme. So that's uh there. Man,
Was there ever anybody that you justcouldn't like you hated? No,

(51:38):
yeah, they hated you. Imean nothing that Livingstone Bramble. Everyone you
know is that it was that, you know, Uh, it made some
very bad remarks to disparition, verybad. I can't I don't want to
go into that. No, No, it is about your family. Yeah
I did say something, but thatthat yeah, two cares. He made

(51:58):
other remarks, but it's just ata press conference. Press don't know how
the press commons at the press commensand and so we're at the press conference
and that's you know. And Itold him and we got to you know,
and the words were said, andwas he doing it to get you?
Yeah, of course, I don'tknow. We've gotten be a good
friends. And he said he apologizedat the ray apologize just I hadn't know

(52:19):
what he was doing. Before Iknew what he was But even then,
you don't say some of the thingshe said. But I think we were
doing the face off the picture andhe started as a managin shut out,
but you wish so I threw apunch. I threw a punch at him
and missed. Up at the pressafter the press conference, while we're taking
pictures, everyone grabs pulled us apartand I told him to keep your mind,

(52:44):
shut up on it, and hewent so Magalon. Story short.
I didn't hit him. My manageryelled, what doesn't matter what you You
hit him, and you hit himand you could cut him or him hurt
your hand. The fights off.You don't think that's what I'm saying.
He did what he wanted to.He accomplished his goal. And as as
a fighters, it always because Ialways got to keep your composure, always
in the ring uttering, I letmy I lost my composure and but then

(53:07):
got enough to come about. Fightwent on. But that's how stupid was
You could hurt your hand. Sureyou don't in the press commis, And
that's why I tell people, don'tput the fight they in the PBC.
However, these guys get up close, I told, but Charlo hare's it.
Get somebody in between. Don't notlet them be get that close.
So you don't get paid. Man, That's exactly right. That's why that's
the reason why they did. Bowsare smart enough to know I ain't paid.

(53:28):
I want to I want to crackthis guy. But but that's the
only time. But we be Igot afterwards. I understood it, you
know, a complish when he wantedgot me out of the thing. I
wanted to camp a week longer thannormally, wouldn't it. Uh, you
know that threw me off. It'sjust um, but that's it. You
know, Camacho was personal. Butafter the fight we got it over.

(53:49):
Then after that we became friends. So I think once fighters, once they
get in there, it's over.Usually Now with Charlo Harrison, hat wasn't
and I don't know if it'll beafter this fight. Hopefully could bear that
shit move on because you know, you don't have to worry about time to
run into each other after down theroad. I feel like you're too nice
whom Yeah you ever hear that?Yeah? Why I am now im?
At that time I was so,I was like, good guy. I'd

(54:12):
never talked bad about people. That'swhat I'm saying. Oh, you don't
know good because it looked it doesn'tdo anything. It doesn't mean anything because
in the ring, you're gonna seeme my style. You're gonna see me
all that long. No matter whatyou said bell ring, I'm gonna be
in the phrase anyway, so itdidn't matter. You don't have to prove
to me I'm a being Okay. You always like these guys after the fight,
you're like, you know, notnot such like him, Mike.

(54:35):
He's tall, tall, or youcould do. But you know what,
he's not a bad guy. Iknow why he said what he said.
It's to build up the fight,or he had build himself up whatever.
But you know, some guys justgo too far. And but in retrospect,
I know I didn't understand that andsaid, that's why you can't get
mad, he said. The presscovers said, the press coverages should be
gentleman. That's why I like him. Bout Sean, He's always a gentleman,

(54:57):
even though Errol try to get underskim Sean. That's why you gotta
say stuff like that, man, just you know it shows a gentleman.
And that's it, because you're justtalking about the fight. I used to
say, Look, I don't don'tnothing I can say. I'm gonna gonna
bell rings. You're gonna see meall that long. We all know what
I how I fight, we allknow what I'm gonna do. We'll see
how he us going to react.Yeah, and that's it, and people
know and then you don't have toyou're not overselling the fight because the fights

(55:20):
should be sold on his own. When you have two guys, when you
say, you know what two fight, When you said Porter Spence, you
know what the kind of fight isgonna be. Yeah, when you you
know, you know, you saidLeonard Dran, you know what it was
gonna be. So that's what I'msaying. So um, I was reading
about Porter and his his idol wasHaggler, Yeah, which most people at
that time would have picked Leonard, not Haggar. I was wondering why he

(55:45):
would pick of the people he likedthe most. Yeah, he would pick
Marvin hag because Marvin had that determinationthat comes forward and that that unquestionable.
Yeah, just business, I'm comingforward. You you know you can't.
You ain't never going to break mephysically, mentally, emotionally. But the
popular pick of the time was right, Yeah, of course commercials, Flashy's

(56:07):
fun even and Sean's even thirty two, and Floyd's forty one, ten years
at him. So most people sayFloyd because you know, and he knows
Floyd and his friends with Floyd andI'm sure he might spark with Floyd too.
So um but uh yeah, Shan'sjust good people and so and and
and his father, Kenny, justlovely people. You don't get him back,

(56:28):
that's it. Yeah, you'll getit. I'm glad we got to
go on and and and I'm gladthat we got up this time last week.
We you know a little bit abouthere we go put no, no,
no, you're off the air. He's sting on's this sting on.
No, we're gonna come back withour who were supposed to have last week

(56:50):
because somebody screwed up. I no, no, we're gonna furi Yeah,
we're gonna get him back. We'regetting Furial back. We're gonna get Federico
quest Luccio. And I'm not gonnabe here next week, so I'm not
gonna do we have one on Friday? We have one Friday. We have
one Friday. Yes, yes, thank you for reminding me. This is
why you guys are here. Oneof the reasons. Yeah. Uh.

(57:12):
Tony Hinchcliff, comedian, Uh funnyfunny cat uh from the area from the
Youngstep warn't trump liberty well nor wellwe see liberty. That's like kind of
you know you ain't moaning now, trumble cut right on the border. Yeah,
so I think it half half libertyis of a trumbull and half lives
and so local guys from Youngstown Liberty, the Liberty section of Youngstown. Uh,

(57:35):
Tony Hinchcliff, comedian extraordinaire. Iknow that because he told me so
and so Uh funny guy, funnywe have on Friday. We have a
special edition of The Raised Boom Momon Friday with Tony and Uh, we'll
be We're gonna be back here orsomewhere else. We can meet him somewhere
wherever we want. Is he comingin? Oh? Is it here?

Oh? Sunrise? Okay, wellI guess I'll be here again, all
right? How fund is that right? Oh? My god? And I
have teas and I love to dopeople these sudden sun rise in the best
lovely people. The food off thehook, Ken Kennyan Darrison is true doing
wonderful damn well, that's why thewonderful, wonderful, wonderful and food is
terriffic. Now, my guy stewin the back does a wonderful job.

(58:19):
Hooked me up last week and I'mon get him hit him up again next
time I'm here. Um but umyeah, so we're back here on Friday
special. They should raised raised boombooroom because I'm not gonna be our next
two's uping back. I'll be inLa. I'm gonna do a friend of
mine, Paul care photos actor. You know. Yeah, we hit him
on yeah and one who one who'snow being a lot of pub because when

(58:40):
when you know, when Debbie Moorethe night before she got married, the
first time she had a little bitof fair Paul was that guy. He
was the good Yeah, whim aboutthat? Well we will why what's all
over? You know? He said, I that's a good pool. Yeah
that's I mean he's a little bitPaul. You listen, you've been us
that shit out for for the lastcouple of weeks. Now, I mean

(59:02):
he's great as Paul. That's apretty good isn't a little higher than that?
You know? No, No,I think he's a great buys a
handsome guy. Man. He wasa good looking right now, but he's
murt Youngstown growing now. So she'sstraightened his ass out. None of that,
no more. And you know that'sa previous life very well, but
pause, a great guy. Sohe's got uh it's a short it's a
short field every day short film.Yeah, he resume, put put on

(59:27):
his resume. You know what theyput you at the end of the resume,
you pull jobs you did if theythen any special features and banging Demi
Moore Right, he's June eighty sixto present. He talked about banging de
Wi More. Yeah, bang DemiMoore night before a wedding. Hey can't
beat that. No, that's youreally can't beat that. Like literally,

(59:49):
you ain't beating that nobody I know. But um, good for him,
So we'll go. But I'm outthere. A friend of his is gonna
do a movie and I'm gonna doit. It's a movie short that are
you go got me and my son. We're gonna do a role playing two
detectives. I'm gonna be, I'mgonna be together. I'm gonna be I'm
gonna be. I'm gonna play clumbo. You got a cool car, drive

(01:00:12):
around in or anything. I'm gonnawear the trench coat. And he could
be like Stark, he could belike any I did start I did any
thing from magazine when Men's man gQ not GQ, Men's fashion magazine,
fashion whatever. Years ago, meand Robert Patrick played did they starts Uch

(01:00:34):
Team? You know Robert Patrick fromTerminator? And I know that and did
he deserve it? I was,we did it? You know the starts
hotch team Start? Is this upfor? However you want to do it?
Can you do this role anyway youwant? Oh, I'm gonna play
anyway. Hey Paul, I'm Ilived the direction from the director. And
then go do what you dress anywayyou want? No, I'm get away.

(01:00:54):
You got away flavor man with pockethankey. Oh you one that with
the best dress. But how aboutthis? My son? Right? So
there's two characters, the two detectives. So my son talking and he said
to me something pop, but youone you're gonna play? And I said,
well, no, no, Igive him the I want him to
have the most lines, give himhis first role. So I said,

(01:01:15):
no, you're gonna play the detectivewith their names. He said, okay.
He calls back this because he's anactor, and these actors do I
don't. I don't say I'm anactor because I act like I can act,
you know, but no, I'veacted. I'm an actor of life.
I'm actor of life. But Ihave trade and he's but he's a
trade actor. And so he said, Pop, he said, you know

(01:01:36):
what, I appreciate you want togive me the line, he said,
but if you read the role, you're a character. He said that once
an older cop. One they're younger, the one with the most lines of
the older cup's dictating, not toI'm sorry, no, he said,
Bob. We're not playing cops, not cops, not detectives. We're playing
two ruffians. But we get we'rebegging on the right because I actually just

(01:01:58):
got asked to play the cop Iactually played. I asked you, guys,
she got asked recently to play meand my son to play cops in
another movie. A friend of mineis directing. This is a whole different
project that's not so tune Ruffians.Yeah, we're sending is too toy,
thugs, whatever you want to say. Two guys to do a number on

(01:02:20):
this guy. Paul's carefulus his character. So we're playing and so he said,
Poppy read the older character. He'sgot the lines, but he's the
one who's dictating kind of, he'sthe one who would calling the shots.
You, as the older man, would be calling the shots. I wouldn't
be telling you what to do.I said, this is why I appreciate
you want to give me the lines, but that doesn't work for the He
says, it doesn't work for thescene. No, that's what an actor

(01:02:42):
knows, what works, what doesn'twork. I'm just drink ging more lines.
He said, No, it's dobeat Paul. But you're gonna beat
on hoping his ass and he doesn'tknow I hit him. I don't pull.
It's all about what about reality? We want to We're all about it.
No, let's make We're not lookingreal. It's gonna be real,
isna. I'm gonna making piss bloodfor a month. I'm getting up some

(01:03:02):

gems, that people don't talk about. But we got to talk about restaurants.
Restaurants and restaurants stores that they gotgreat great buyas you know anything,
