(01:00):
Charbonnais Winery and right by the river, down right by the river and downtown
Warren, and it's spectacular. Iwalked out as I was like the Tiviti
Gardens, Vegas, and I meanthe Tiviti Gardens was a joint back in
her eighties in Vegas. That's howlong ago? And uh, it's it's
it's spectacular and the lovely woman Shareris allowing us to do our show from

(01:23):
here and to give me a littlebit of uh you know, the background,
and it's you know, it's ifyou walk. She took a shot.
There's again there's what talk about toabout. Entrepreneur took this shot.
You gotta marry. Anybody takes ashot nowadays in business. And beaut took
it downtown Warren. And but theygot the Robin Steel right across the river

(01:44):
under the side. Ladies and gentlemen, if you're in the Warren area,
or if you're know Youngstown Warn area. If you're here downtown Warren, walk
across the bridge to Charbonnai's winery. It's just on the other side of the
bridge of the river. Just walkover. In fact, if you could
see, if you're outside, yousee the Amphitheater. So during the summer
you'll see the Amphitheater, don't hear. You can hear the show from here,

(02:06):
that's right. So not that I'mtaking with an amphitheater, but come
here and get dinner and one outside. You don't need to pay for a
ticket, you'll hear the whole show. Don't even don't need to see it,
don't need to see it, you'llhear it. Well, I was
talking to her a little bit.She was in the kitchen and bath industry.
She was the decorator and always kindof wanted to do her own wine
thing. Actually said she planted somegrapes at her house, was going to

(02:27):
do her the house. And thenthis opportunity came up. And now and
people, if you if you're goingto a show at the Robbins Theater and
there's another show this weekend, youpark here, you have dinner, you
have some drinks, take the shuttlebus down, yes, and then you
come back. But that see thatthey got their own form of uber like,
but they got their own form ofshot you right bus a little shut

(02:47):
right over, shutter you right backright. So you ain't got to do
an or you stayed at park, eat before or eat after, right,
don't be shy. Come into thejoint. Check it out, full menus,
just great joint, and and makesure you come, but check out
even if you want to come fora happy hour or appetizers, you know,
like like you know, if yougo into an uh anteca, which

(03:08):
is a tie in bar. It'sa wine bar, time wine bar,
wine small plates or tapas place. And this is what this could this is
it could be trying a full dinneror you could have an anotheca or tapas
or you know, uh, appetizersregular they have the regular booze and drinks
and stuff. And I cut ateleven different wines. That's pretty good.

(03:29):
It's it's what. It's wide openand men, it's it's a great joint.
One is hidden, it's a it'sa young shart told me she's been
over for about six months now.Yeah, so wait till the summer with
that passes gonna be jam. ButI'm gonna tell you if you're here and
your warn dontown support local businesses. These are type of places you want to

(03:49):
be here for years to come. You have a place to go in downtown.
I see downtown Youngstown, but wegot some places that are coming in.
But but here's the difference between downtand I'm say it right out now,
downtown in downtown Warren downtown, there'sthe difference. There's no parking in
downtown Yankstown. The parking is notas good as it is down here,
I would say, you got afull parking lot right here. Yeah,

(04:10):
it's nice. Nice every we gottapay for parking, right better yet you
don't. You don't gotta pay forparking and then try to go in to
a joint. That's right, love, my I love White Town is my
town. I love downtown. Butyou gotta come up with some better parking.
Nothing for them. Well, they'vethey've tweaked at a couple of different
ways to do better, and andevery time you do it, it doesn't

(04:30):
matter. It just doesn't end upgoing better. They've done it right so
far down here and shar you're gonnabring those over. That's thank you.
Thank you for the chef. Thechef a friend, your first name r
Ron, just Ron the chef hereat chard right Ron run. So it's
a little kind of food that youserve. Crust the board, the board.
We're doing shorts, short reps.Oh I like that. Oh see

(04:57):
it's a high end some small play. It doesn't matter, right man,
you can't beat that. So Ron, thank you, brother. I appreciate
that. I'll get back in thekitchen to make us just a kid kid.
So if you're downtime any we've gottagive. We've gotta give shar And
to join a plug because they allowedus to do the show here today and
I hope that allows to come back, so Mike don't mess up the joint.

(05:19):
Okay, So obviously we're waiting ona call. We gotta we're waiting
on it O'Neil to be our callon Ustay. And um, he's actually
shooting what is shooting Modern Family. It's the last week of shooting and the
show's over and this is the lastshow ever, that last show ever and
he's shooting his last show today orthis week, I'm sorry, this week.

(05:42):
So he's on set, so he'llcall us when he gets, you
know, between takes and when he'soffset. So um, so we'll keep
talking. We'll keep talking, andwhen he calls, we'll talk. But
let me tell you something. Hehas some definitive ideas about as we as
I do about this weekend's fight inLas Vegas. So we're gonna talk about
I try to get a couple otherpeople from Fox, you know. Uh

(06:03):
business Box does not have the fight. Yeah. Production promotion, promotion,
PBC a top rain, it's aco production, except that ESPN is handling,
the production end of it. Whatmeaning have you ever seen this must
promotion for a fight in a longtime? I mean, well, look

(06:25):
between me and you, it fitsall the criteria. It's the heavyweights.
Everyone wants you the heavyweights. Yougot two undefeated guys, both have a
last fight was a draw, disputea draw, it's a rematch, and
you got black and white. That'sit's the name of the game. And
you know it's the nature of thebees sports and boxing. By far,

(06:50):
black and white fights sell bigger thananything. So I never really thought of
that. Absolutely facts fact, butI never thought of it. If you
have two great black champions, unfortunatelythey don't sells well and he is on
pay per view. Just that theydon't it doesn't mean they don't do well.
They won't do as well as ablack and Hispanic Hispanic versus white black
and white, that's what we wantto say, or black to Hispanics.

(07:13):
I wonder why, I mean,is it because people are rooting for their
own race? I wonder why itis it makes sense, but I just
wonder what it means. Absolutely, you could love, you could you could
love I love Deonte Water loved loveand I'm rooting for him, not picking
him. He's my guy, andhe's Deonte is from Alabama, Okay,

(07:34):
and then Alabama boy from what bubYeah? And Tyson Fury is from uh,
the UK, England, right,Britain, Britain, the UK because
I think he's I actually think he'ssult think scot But so you said UK
because I'm on a clarifier. Butyou know he comes from a Gypsy clan,
true shipsy clan, and his fatherwas known was you know, is

(08:00):
very famous over there because of bareknuckle fighting. So Tyson actually started bare
knuckle game and then he got intostill still barred knuckle fighting is a real
thing round my country. They're doingit in real Neanderthal Well, I don't
know, you know, it's barreknuckle fighting UFC. I mean, it's

(08:20):
just an extension of UFC, extensionof boxing. So even though they're gloves,
but they have smaller ant but youknow, the smaller gloves or actually
they don't even have gloves. It'sbare knuckle blocks. But they wrap your
round your hands because you know youcan protect the bones. So I wouldn't
do it, you can't do it, wouldn't do it. No, um.
Anyway, so the fight this weekendthe biggest fight for me I can

(08:43):
remember for an along with that, maybe since Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson,
yeah, or one of the hold. But still you didn't see all the
channels with previews because you got twodifferent news. First of all, it's
free network television with esp with Foxwith the Fox and then the course,
ESPN is the biggest sports channel,so of course she's all over there.

(09:07):
But it's a co production, copromotion. She's co promotion between PBC and
Fox and UM Fox and ESPN.But ESPN is actually handling the production side
of it. That's why. Andbut you're still gonna see Kadabdoe, Um
Sean Porter and Joe Goosen and LennoxLewis do another version of it. So

(09:28):
if you buy the Fox pay perview, you're gonna be seeing them.
Oh, if you're seen by theESPN version, you're gonna see Um,
Joe tes a Tour, Tim Bradleyand Andre Ward. We're gonna you know,
so um even though they're gonna it'sa co promotion, but you buy,
you're gonna still see two different sets, two different sets of announcers.

(09:50):
I wonder if they'll be on theopposite side of the ring or next to
each other seam side, probably,so it is interesting. Um, and
that's another thing I don't never reallysee, right. I mean, that's
very different, isn't it. AndI don't understand, And people have asked
me. I don't understand myself whyI did? Why an't I doing the
show? Yeah? Fox has alot of people, and you're not wanted
to be well. And plus it'sgonna cost you seventy five bucks to pay

(10:11):
for it. That's not fair.I should got a free I should have
an event Saturday night. I hadan event that I'm actually gonna be going
to and then I'm gonna home.I hope, so time goes on,
she'd be after midnight. Oh yeah, hopefully, so I won't miss it.
But look to wait the Eddy tocall in. Um. Look,

(10:37):
it was at the view of thefight coming up. Here's the thing.
I think it's gonna be a hellof a fight. First of all,
the first fight most people, butI didn't see it. I got again,
I was at another event. Idid not see the first fight,
and by all accounts, Tyson Furywon that fight, even though I got
dropped twice, only got knocked downtwice. That means four rounds. When

(10:58):
you would invite, when you getwhen you would get you get knocked down,
drop somebody. You win two roundsmean you know, because it's a
ten eight round so it's basically tworounds. Oh I see the margins two
points, so you get right, you could drop twice, it's four rounds.
And most people still thought Tyson Furywon the fight, which was win
eight to four, because they justsay everybod I touch said he didn't win

(11:18):
any other rounds except the two roundshe dropped Fury in. Yeah, I
didn't see the fight. I'd liketo go back. I should. I
think they'll be showing replayed the firstfight some either Fox and or ESPN's they
had instead of the undercard. Theyhad to just show the first few play.
But the undercard is gonna be prettygood, loaded two undercard is pretty
loaded. They're gonna be doing it'sgonna be helping undercard held to show all

(11:39):
the way. But this is thefirst time that I can't I've been excited
to see a heavyweight fight forever, and you got a guy in Tyson Fury,
who's six to nine, because DeanteWilder dwarfs his opponents. He's sixty
seven and he's punching down. He'she is. Steve Camp, the boxing
writer for The Forum, Steve Kimsays, the best that Deonta Water is

(12:03):
the is the heavyweight Tommy hearns. And that's the great analogy because Tommy Camp
punch when the best right hands ever, and Deonta is the hardest punching heavyweight
since might Tyston got his right handslike my tastes his left talk or you
know, left uppercut. I mean, it's just what the left right hand
he guy. He and Steve Kimcalls it the eraser, and he's right
because it could it changes everything oncehe hits you with the right hand.

(12:26):
What that first fight though, wedidn't know how great it was going to
be, did we. I meanthey were both on the feend. But
I don't think there's that I knowthere wasn't much hype as this fight.
I don't think there's much hype atall. No, no, no,
because people didn't know Tyson Fury right. Tyson Fury is with with Matchbox,
match match Room Box, not Matchbox, match Room boxing, which is Eddie

(12:50):
Hearn. He was promoted by EddieHrn, but he's signed to Bob Aram
now. And Bob Aram's one ofthe top promoters in the world for the
last one hundred you know, ohhe's got to be five and for the
last fifty years he's one of thetop promoters in the world. But the
event, and he hasn't have aheaded. He hasn't had a heavyweight for
a long time. He promoted allof all these fights when he came in

(13:13):
our seven year and so when youknow, when Ali first came out of
retirement at the jail and he gotback into the boxing, he wasn't want
to promoted that. Bob Aaron promotedall his early fights. So um,
when he had a big fight AliFrasier, he was promoted that alone with
Masters Boxing. So uh, it'sjust by far. Bob has been at

(13:37):
the top of the game for manymany years. He hasn't have a head,
hasn't had it had heavyweight in quitea while, especially someone like Tyson
Fury. Bob knows, Bob knowswhite guy who can actually fight. But
he's a big but he's got amouth to match his talent. Bob.

(13:58):
He talks, he talks, hetalks. He's Deontay could talk, and
this guy talks Deonte and that's thebeautiful thing. You haven't seen a white
heavweight talk like this is forever. So and you know, and he doesn't
back down from Tyson Feur. Hehasn't back down from uh Tyson, Deontay
Water or anybody else when it comesto talking about you know, you know,

(14:20):
the fight. They don't back down. And so when they had one
on one the press conferences, that'sthat's worth the press right there. The
best less press conference will be umThursday that they that's so I can't wait
to see that away in day two? Is that? What're gonna be?
Friday? Okay, Friday and thenthe fights on Saturday, fights on Saturday.

(14:41):
So um, anybody who, uh, but we didn't we didn't see
this in the first first round,I guess no, we're just the first.
We didn't see it coming, like, oh my gosh, this is
gonna be like no, and youknow a lot of people know Deontay Water,
but they didn't know of his capabilities. And they come back at these
two fights knockouts, vicious knockouts,um tests, of Furiers come back with

(15:03):
two fights against no name guys. He's one. I don't understand impressively he's
one. But they got him inthis fight, so everyone got to you
know, Bob Baron bolling him upthere, put him up there and get
him the right type of fighter opponentsto get his name out there. And
now he got him and him inwater. Now, Tyson Fury says that

(15:24):
he's going to go first of all, he says he'd knocked him out two
rounds, two rounds. When youjust say that, put yourself out there
like that, it's stupid to me, especially when you got knocked down twice.
Anyway, he dropped like a secpotatoes dropped like I didn't even really
knew he was hurt. He justkind of oh, he went down like
he was shot. Yeah, butthen kind of five, he was a
moving sound of six, he gotup by eight. I don't understand it,

(15:46):
but that's a testiment into his chin, his resolved, his will to
win. I admire that he was. He was out, and I don't
think I think Deonta didn't never expecthim to get up, so he dropped
to But if you don't drop him, people say, what is what you
have to do, Fury have todo to win that fight. Don't get
knocked down. If he stays onhis feet, he wins a fight.

(16:08):
But you get dropped down, toyand dropped like that draw. Yeah,
it's like he tripped, went downlike he was shot for it, like
down like he was shot. Boy. So I think Look, I think
Deante beats him his time because Deanteis still biggest punch in the game.
Deont and Tyson Fears says he's gonnaknock him on two rounds, which means

(16:30):
he has to come at him.He says he's gonna go at him.
Now. If you're gonna do that, you don't tell anybody's gonna do that,
You just do it. But tellhim I'm gon knock him on two
rounds. We need to predict thatweight. If I'm Deante, I'm saying
I'm all set for a gun whator two things? I'm saying I'm waiting
for the guy a shootout. Ijust love guys. You guys knew how
I was gonna fight. I'm gonnago totee great, then there'll be a

(16:51):
war. We'll be doing business rightfrom the jump. That's great, dude,
hed, I see buddy, andit s to be a war from
the jump. Great, that's Iwould like it. Ties the Fury.
It's not his game plan. That'snot how he likes it. So you
tell people canna do it? Didn'tyou do it? If you don't do
it, the psychological bloodhim take yousay you're gonna do it, do it
but or just wait, don't saynothing. He let the fight player that

(17:15):
way its supposed to. So anyhow, um, I hope he does that.
It'll be exciting for as long ashe goes. Um, it'll be
a shootout from the jump. Andand t Deanti Water is not a guy
you want to get a gun shootoutwith. You don't want to get it
because he's got the best cannon going. Boy. So um, I just
but I'm look, I can't waitto see it opening round and if it

(17:37):
should go past the two rounds, which I expect Water there. Water will
be there. I don't know aboutFury. Water will be there then,
Um, it'd be a great fight. But he says he come idmire what
he says. I admired that heway he got up. I admired that,
uh he puts us and wanted tofight. Rematch. Look accounts he

(17:59):
wanted to fight. I didn't seeit, but all the coins I've read
and heard and most people say that. So uh, I hope if he
wins out right, he gives thedecision like he should. But I don't
think it's gonna go a decision.I think somebody's gonna fall like like like
like a like a tree, andI don't know who that's going to be
because you got a six seven orsix nine guy, and that's a tall

(18:22):
tree. Oh man. So allright, let me ask you this.
This will be If you don't feellike answering this, don't ask or don't
answer, it's okay because it mightbe controversial, and I don't want to
put you in that spot. Ifyou're a promoter. We talked about Bob
Aaron Tyson Fury is a white boxermore valuable to you if they're the same
level than a than an African Americanor a Hispanic. Yeah, I'd say

(18:47):
that it is the fight because there'sthe fight fan a white person. Now
because not as many, because youhave to oh, just because there there
are many. Look, I look, people are those gonna give you?
Like when I was all you're madeby TV. Yeah, but I was
also winning fighters, so yeah thathelps. Look if yeah, if you're
a white guy who could fight, absolutely because you're rare. Yeah, there's

(19:11):
not as many exactly, you know. It's it's like a white guy in
the NBA who can play, right, there's no hardly any from our country.
That's right, that's right if awhite guy, that just right.
If you're Larry Bird or remember theThree Brothers, the UM the Father's Hall
of Fame. UM play for hFather was a play for UM Golden State

(19:34):
Shut in Her Hand by Rick Berry. Remember who, right, Joan and
Drew. Drew was the younger swanbut the middle one who wanted a slam
dunk contest. Oh I don't know. Yeah, yeah, he'd run the
slam dunk contest. Bring me wantslam nun because people he was a white

(19:55):
guy, could flat drive out, jump out silly at the building. He
was a white guy, wet opsand he wanted to say and he did
and did the Jordan slam down fromthe foal line, you know, And
uh so yeah he could, hecould, he could, he could fly.
But what I'm saying is that's that'sunusual. This is he guy Larry
Bird was was an anomaly. Hewas a guy who was you know,
and and he was and the brotherssaid, man bird many a bad man.

(20:19):
So let's I'm saying that guys likethat. Yeah, it's just not
as many so I would think. So, you know, it's not you
know, just nothing to do withwho's rooting for the person or how many
out there are rooting for him, just to the fact that it's an anomaly.
You know, he's just talking aboutthat. I just heard. I
think it's pretty true. I'm notbut I want to say guarantee if it's

(20:40):
true. But I'm gonna say whatI heard. It's been out on social
media that of course calep Plant wonhis fight Saturday night. He beat the
guy uh fighting boots from Germany. It sounds like a white guy, yeah,
from Germany. He beat him.Um, he won't stopped him in
ten callip Plant can fight. Hesaid, got a high boxing gut Q,

(21:03):
great movement, great amateur pedigree,He's got a ton of heart.
But they offered him right after thefight Canello from me again and I'm reading
that he turned it down. AndI heard that yesterday, but then I
read it today. He turned itdown and they said, what is your
thoughts on that? I go outfirst. I know it's true, but

(21:26):
by all indications it is. Ifit is true, he said he didn't
have enough time to prepare. AndI'm thinking, Caleb, I love your
brother. He just got done witha fight. You take a couple of
days off, you get backing himslowly. You got three months. You
take it off a couple of weeks, take your brand on vacation. You

(21:47):
don't get recointed with her, getget back to camp. You're not going
to be out of shape. It'syour job. Three months, yea,
three years. I mean I'm notI can't. Guys, they got his
own, they got their own planof attack, don't agenda. I got
it. But if they offer, you Canello, that's the biggest fight out
there for you take it and reason. No. I don't know where they

(22:12):
said I'm ready, And I'll justsay I think I think he's right.
After Caleb's got the ton of heart, Yeah, got anything. He thinks
he can beat anybody. I wouldthink so. As a fighter. I
was twenty. I was twenty whenit took the next lect Sir GUYO,
I was three time world champion, one of the greatest fighters of all time.

(22:33):
At that time, he was oneof the greatest of all time three
times and three different champion. Yougot to take it because that's the opportunity.
Now, there's so many different bills. I get it. But Caleb
Plan is a better He's a hellof a fighter man. And I didn't
say any term now for anything.I don't know his reasons, and that's
the reason. But but I can'tsee a bigger fight for him out there,

(22:55):
and you got three months to prepare. You just got off a fight.
I don't understand. I hope hetakes it. I hope he changes
the mind, and hope he takesit and goes out there. And because
I think he'd be a headache forCanell. He's a headache for anybody at
division. He's a he's a he'sa pure bread boxer man. This guy
got talent at the ass so whywouldn't you do And you got a ton
of confidence. He's got more comfthan ten guys going to Europe. So

(23:21):
I don't there's not a reason thatI don't think he doubts his ability or
doubts that he can win the fight. I don't know why he wouldn't take
it, because it's gonna be thebiggest fight out there for him for mom
here understanding the offer is too low. While yeah, but as if to
offer you more money for another fightthan you take it. But if you
say, well, it's nothing, may not be as much money for another

(23:42):
fight, but it won't be astough another. But if you beat Canell
at your weight class, Canell's movingup to fight you as you're a weight
class, then you become the You'reyou're the guy, you are the guy.
Why won't you take it? What'sthat? I don't all right?
Since you know you've done it.What's the shortest turnaround from one fight to

(24:03):
the next that that makes sense? That that is actual possible for not just
you, but for most FUN.I don't know. I can't talk for
other fighters that I won the NorthAmerican title my first TV fight May sixteenth,
nineteen eighty one, af n ABFokay. I wonder my first team

(24:26):
fight. I came back at FUNin July and defended it against Jose Luis
former. So you want to winMay May and then July, so in
less than two months, maybe lessthan two months. I won that.
I fight Aguayo in October, whichis Nember October, okay, three months?
Another three months? Yeah, Igot beat by Aguayo and I'm back
in fun at the n of December, the day after the Christmas December twenty

(24:49):
five. That's less than three months. These were who were fifteen round fights,
so which means you have to trainfor a fifth you know, yeah,
yeah, but six weeks was perfectfor me. Six weeks. I'm
not knocking it, but I'm nottrying. But you fought you want impressively,
you didn't get beat up. Youweren't. You weren't. It was
a tough I don't have to fightyou one, clearly, ten rounds.

(25:11):
Take a couple of these off, take a bride on vacation, like I
said, get re quinned with herfor a couple After a couple weeks to
get back in the ship, yougot three months two I don't know,
man, I just don't get him. Oh wait, now Mark Kreagle called,
I'm gonna call Mark Kreker. Maybewe get kreeg on the phone to
be our guest. How's that?Okay? How's that? Who's Mark?
Mark Kreegle he's done. He worksfor ESPN. That's fantastic. Yeah,

(25:33):
Hey, Mark, Hey, couldyou talk because I'm on the air right
now. Ye talk like, couldmy guy call you? All right?
Do you guys call I'll give youhis number. All right, Mark,
we're gonna call you right now.I'm talking about I'm talking about the fight
now, so I'll call you rightnow. Okay, Yeah, there you

(25:57):
go. Here you go. Yeah, I just yelling out on the podcast.
Mark. Yeah, Mark, what'shis job? Marks? Annots?
He wrote my book. That's fantastic, wrote my book. He's an author.
He's working for ESPN, and youknow, I just say his number
over there, Mark. But Mark, he's there for the fight. He's

(26:21):
gonna be doing work for he worksfor ESPN. All right, we'll see
if we get him. And Iasked if you can do him well,
even if it's for fifteen minutes,Watch Eddy be calling right after that.
Eddie your phone back, I'll callyou back. Yeah, Kriegel's on the
horn, so I'll talk to nsee what happens. So Mark Kriege's who
wrote my book, best selling author, now doing boxing work for ESPN.

(26:47):
Tremendous writer, reporter, all aroundgood guy, and uh, you know,
I don't know if he did.I'm gonna ask him when he's on
there. Mark, you ever doit? Because now they have Danty boxing
before he did my book Mark.Mark. Okay, now you're now we've

(27:07):
got you on the air. Allright, watch what you say? You
know? Hey, So I'm gladyou appreciate you calling me because we're talking
about that fight. Here. What'sgoing on? What's the word, what's
the look? I was just talkingabout here's my view, Mark and didn't
want to leave it over to you. I said, the first fight,
by all indications, tys of Furywon. I didn't see it. I

(27:29):
was at an event. By allindications, even though he got dropped twice,
he won it. But people alwayssaying, when it's Tyson Fury,
you have to do to win thatfight, don't get and I'm saying,
don't get dropped that last round.That's that's what I don't get dropped.
And he went down like a sackof rice. Man, he went down
like he was shot. But tohis credit, to his heart and desire
and will to win, he gotup. No, he talk him out

(27:51):
talking He's gonna go and make ita firefight. From the jump, he's
a knocking around two runs. Stupidain't gonna happen. He I hope he
times out like that. But DeanteWater is the best punch, says Mike
Tyson. So that's stuck going toplay well for Wilder, I mean for
Fury in my viewpoint, But youlet the other guy know what you're doing.
No great come out, make it. Let's make it a fire fight.

(28:11):
So what are your thoughts? What'sthe word of going on? Vegas?
Well, I mean, look, there's there's some merit to what Fury
is saying. You know, Fury, I think Fury is the I've excuse
me. I think Wilder is thebiggest puncher, arguably the greatest right hand
when he gets his space right thatI've ever seen right the single must saying

(28:33):
he's the best boxer on myself heavy, but I've never seen anything like that
right hand. But the safest placeto be for Fury is not on the
end of that not only outside orthe safest place is inside, one way
or another. To win this fight, he's got to find a moment to
attack. So he says, hey, listen, why am I going to

(28:53):
wait around and take my chances thatI'm going to get dropped. I'm going
to press the issue. The safestplace of me is inside, and at
some point I have to push himback. And I think that any way
you calculate this fight, that's correct. At some point he's gonna have to
make his move and he's gonna haveto push him back. The moment when
you're most vulnerable with Wilder, andWilder doesn't have great technique, but he

(29:17):
has great timing. And that's thatmoment where you that moment, that split
second you make your move, that'swhen he catches you. And you know
they can blind you with that.Yeff, you don't want to be on
the outside and that and that's allfurious. La Fur likes to stay on
the outside. So for him tosay that he's gonna be coming in like
you just said, that makes sense. But I don't say he's six nine,
He ain't like he gets snick it. It ain't Joe Frazier and ain't

(29:40):
Mike Tyson's slipping underneath. He's gonnawalk and stand straight up. You're walking
straight and start up. You're gonnaget caught. You can't, you can't
get you don't you know, Butbut way does that go right? He's
got understand what you're saying. I'mnot sure I disagree with it. But
Fury has good technique. Furious classicallytrained. He doesn't walk straight in.
He does he has a jab um. There's no way you're going to minimize

(30:03):
the risk. It's not a risklessfight any any way you look at it.
But he has to make that moveto come inside. Also, who
do you like better on the inside, Fury or Wilder? Because I don't.
I don't think that the Wilder hasgreat technique inside. You never see
him inside. He doesn't because hedoes. He has a vicious to ride
uppercut. So when he's on theinside. First of all, Fury doesn't

(30:26):
fight on the inside at all.He doesn't know. He hugs and grabs.
He's he's a clutch you know.You know he's a clutching grab fighter.
That's what he is. Mark youyou see in point I've said this,
Fury can move. Big guys gotgood footwork, can move. I
don't think he can fight a wholelot. And what I mean by that
is you never see he pushes hispunches. He doesn't throw him, he

(30:47):
pushes him. He doesn't snap him. He puts. He got, he
got. He's a big, lumberingguy. Sticks out of jab, he
pushes the right hand, he getsinside, he puts. He tries to
bully these guys around because he's thebig guy. You never seen him throw
a four or five punch domination. You don't see that. And if he
does, it's like half ass.You know, it's just it's like it's
shoe shine. It's not them behindit furious. But if you go no,

(31:08):
no, he's a big strong ifyou listen. But if you listen,
if you listen to Wilder, that'sone of the reasons why he went
back to Kronk. Listen, it'sit's too you know, to to sugar
Hail to Andy Lee, who didseven years at that gym. One of
the things that they teach at Kronkis simple fundamentals. Use your right hand,

(31:30):
extend it punched through the target, don't waste any punches. It's it's
not you know, it's not elaboratestuff. It's not fancy stuff. It's
it's real simple. And they wantedto sit down at his punches. They
want to punch through the target. It's like day one, what you learn
in the gym, right and whatwhat you know? What he says,
Cronk is about. What you knowwhat Sugar Hail and Andy Lee say Cronk

(31:52):
is about is really killer instinct. And and it's funny to me that the
fight that he compared this too keptcoming up with Hagler Hernes. Now that
didn't work out for the Crown guy. But I think he sees this,
I'm just gonna sell out and seewhat happened. I almost think like he's
thinking about his own dad, likethis is his own my set of bare
knuckle tradition. I don't know whyhe doesn't want to I mean, I

(32:15):
do know why he doesn't want tobox, But I think he says,
if I box, I still wantthat high risk of not getting a decision,
especially in a WBC fight. Thisis the WBC champion, And I
don't think frankly, I don't thinkthat Wild has got enough respect over the
years that there's a separate issue.But he's worried about getting a decision,

(32:36):
and he's worried about Listen, thesame thing could happen, and maybe I
don't get up at the count ofeight or nine again, you know,
or nine and a half. Whatever, right, well, you have a
fury or dema water. I'm talkingabout fury. But as in a side,
I don't think that Wilder's enough sex. I got you. I'd appreciate
no mark. You know, itdoes valid a valid statement. And like

(32:57):
I said, I like this afury. I think this fury he's a
fighter. But but but you know, I love the fact that we got
a white guy who goes out andtalks better than the brothers. I love
that because you know, you know, because you know anybody, oh man,
you ain't gonna you ain't gonna ifit's a it's a verbal battle.
He's winning that one. But he'sa big, strong guy and he got
balls. He got balls. There'sno doubt about that, you know,

(33:20):
coming from his background and and he'sbragg and all of that. But I
think when he gets in there andhe gets hit with that right hand again,
I think he's gonna I think Idon't think he's not gonna get missed
Fury. I mean, Wilder won'tmiss him with that right hand. I
think he's gonna hit him and he'sgonnahit tap him with it several times.
And I think very especially Fury becausehe knows you can drop him and he
already that's confidence builder, you know. And I know Fury knows he gets

(33:42):
hit. He went down twice andthey ain't like he didn't went down once.
He went down like he he wentdown here, he was shot.
So I think he's gotta worry aboutthat. I think that's a big,
big advantage for for Wilder. AndI think if I know I drop you,
I'm gonna hit you. I'm gonnatap you with on the chin with
my right hand, You're gonna go. Well, you you know what,
you know what Wilder has been said. I mean, I've been to both
camps at this point and talked prettyextensively with both guys, and you know,

(34:08):
we know what. We know whatFury says. But Wilder figures,
hey, listen, I broke myforearm in the last training camp. I
did not scroll a right hand ina camp. Okay, So when I
came into that, and obviously hewas underweight, I think like two hundred
and nine pounds. He's a littlesick. And I'm not making excuses.

(34:28):
I'm just saying the way that helooks at the fight, it took him
a while to get his timing backagainst a really good boxer, a guy
who was better than he thought. And by the time he did figure it
out again, this is wildest theory. By the time he did figure it
out, he dropped them two timesin the last four rounds. Right,
So he sees it as a continuationof that. My arm wasn't broken this

(34:50):
time, and he did. Hefractured his forearm, the right hand,
so he really had been able touse it much during camp. You know,
That's how he looks at him.On the other hand, Fury says,
Hey, listen, I just cameback from losing one hundred pounds and
I was I came back from likesuicidal depression. I'm a lot better now
than I was December of eighteen.Right, we'll kick Mark before you go,
because we're gonna Mark. Does myguy my case? I know you

(35:13):
gotta go, And so I justwant to ask you real quick, um,
on a scale of one to ten, one being the worst, ten
being the best, the one toten on the entertainment value of the last
fight, and then one to tenon how much you're looking forward to this
fight. If I say ten,Manus Hill, here's the thing. The
best the best heavyweight title fight Iwas ever rat it was, but holy

(35:37):
Field one, and it just openedmy eyes to what the real majesty of
the sport. And it had thecapacity to surprise. You were like,
holy you know one, Holy shit, holy Field. And when he got
up, and I think that whenwhen Tyson boxed as well as he did
in the beginning, that was aholy shit moment. And when he got

(35:58):
up in the twelfth, that washis gret a single moment as I've ever
seen in the division. You know, heavyweights are known for putting guys down.
This guy, in that one momentbecame known for getting up. So
look nine ten, it's it's abig one. It's it's it's a big
one. Yeah, it's bigger thananyone this century. There you go,
that's for sure. Mark. Iappreciate your time. Man. As to

(36:20):
God, I really to appreciate you. Okay, brother, you said,
taught to you soon. Thanks forhaving thank you, thank you, by
bye. I'll good. Was thatthat's good boom right from right from Vegas.
And we have Eddie waiting for thecall. We'll just give him the
number and then we'll be good.Yeah, I'm ladies and we're gonna get

(36:42):
ed O'Neill's a real newscast, likea breaking news newscast. You want to
do you know the number, it'sgood, Okay, I give it to
you, right, yeah, butI'll need to take it in again,
okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it'll be under
that. Yeah. And so remindpeople again we're calling it on. We're
gonna call it on. Know. He's on last week of The Modern Family,

(37:05):
the last week, last show. It's the last week of the show
for the forever eleven year, elevenseasons and eleven years, eight eleven seasons.
I'm married with children too. He'sgot the all time king of Television.
He broke he broke Lucille Ball's recordlast most episodes on the most episode
of TV and asking if he cares. Apparently not, he could introduce me

(37:34):
Eddy Eddie. Hey, I'm callingyou on the Saturday. Don't bother me.
Hey, I'm in my trailer. There we go right on. Hey,
it's funny, you know what,So you're doing the last week,
last week of the show, right, last week, I got I got

(37:58):
better day on Friday, and I'mon Thursday and Friday, you're done.
And I tell people. This isthe eleventh season for Married with Children?
Correct, No, Modern Family?Yeah, I mean Modern Family. But
you did eleven season Married with Childrentoo, right, so you did eleven
and eleven? Yeah, eleven andeleven. Yeah. So so last year
when you broke the record for moreepisode of TV than anybody history. We

(38:20):
had dinner that night and I askedyou, Eddie, aren't you how do
you feel? You? Who givesa ship? I should have should have
been a crossbord. But Eddie, all right, that's jump to you know
what. It was funny because Iasked Kriegel the other day and he gives
me in the krieg I'm not sureI can do it, blah okay.

(38:42):
So and then he calls me.He called me. We had we just
had him on. He's called mefrom the Vegas. So I appreciate him
calling me. We got him.We had one. He's yeah, it
was good. He had him onfor a couple of minutes. Right when
you take as texting. We weretalking to him. So, Eddie tell
me. So I talked to Mark, what do you think about this fight?
I said, Look, we andyou talk about it. You're not
a fan of Deontay. I'm nota big fan of either one of them,

(39:07):
either one of them. That's okay, I'm not Yeah, okay,
I don't like either one of them. Okay, why is that? I
mean, they're probably the best twoguys around today. Yeah, but you
know I showed you, I sentyou that picture. Beyonce wanted to get
knocked out in the Amateurs by thatlittle Russian. Yeah dead, you know,

(39:32):
because because Ray he's only got Iknow you like his punching power,
but he's only got one hand. That Val that's valis statement big right hand.
You use the left hand to kindof set it up with the jab,
but it's not really a little bit, a little bit he sticks it
out. You don't have you don'thave it. You don't have a jab
like Lewis or listen to them. No, no, but he's or Larry

(39:55):
Holmes, Larry Holmes going to getrid of trouble and no, no,
there's no just that's a great fight, I said. And hear what I
said about the unt and even wilder, I mean in fury at this,
you know, if we're gonna say, but being sixty seven and being able
to punch like you can with thatright hand, sitting down in his punches.
That's a big thing, Fury.Six nine. But you don't sit

(40:15):
down his punches. He boxes,He's got a great good movement, good
movement, and he he pushes hisright hand. Now, Mark, we
were talking Mark about that. Marksays, by what by Fury going to
talk to Crunk Jim and and workingwith sugar Hill. Now who should know
who was Manny Stewarts, Mandy Stewartsnephew. They're trying to teach him that

(40:37):
Tommy hurns right and sit down andpunches, turn that right hand over.
But he's done it for like sixeight weeks, whatever it is. I
don't think you can teach a guywho ain't never been a puncher, has
always been on his feet all theway. You can teach him to sit
down and throw a right hand andit's gonna have a devastating effect. I
don't think so. I think you'renot gonna make that guy a puncher.
No, that's what they're trying todo. And six and it's why he

(40:59):
said, daughter, That's why hesaid he's gonna go out and it's gonna
end the two runs. He's gonnago out making a firefight with I don't
see. I don't see why you'rethinking Wilder is gonna be any better than
he wasn't the first fight. Well, because he always does better rematches and
to his credit, Mark verified this, verified this day. Water had a

(41:20):
shattered right for him his first fight. He didn't use his job because he
had a fractured right for him intraining camp. That's true, March has
verified at first. Now he's feelingmuch better. He's got no fractures of
any kind. It's gonna be abig difference. It's gonna be a big
difference. That cractured right for himdidn't bother him late in the fight,
No, because he threw a righthand, but I'm saying it was a

(41:42):
fracture left him. Wow, hedid throw a jab. That's why I
didn't throw any jabs the first fight. He was always one handed, one
handed. I think it was alwaysyou know, you know, do you
hear that stuff so often? Youknow? My my left, as speak,
was bothering. I couldn't wait onif you got a fractured for him
and you're trying to punch it tothrow a jab, you can't do it.

(42:06):
Now, come on, now,you know that. But it's an
excuse, right, it's just anexcuse, excuse if you can't do it,
an excuse it Mark ver fight,it's shut up about it. You
know you bought in the ring, right, You got in the ring and
he both hands on you didn't youdidn't say, you know, he didn't
say I can't fight. I've gota fractured arm. So if you go

(42:28):
in the ring, shut up.All right. Yeah, so I guess
guy's going with bad hands, brokenhand or something that. You know.
She's shut up too, right,But they love to give those excuse are
you here excuses? That time?It doesn't Hey, but everybody got one
by all indications, though, Isaid, but I didn't see the fight
because I was at an event.By all indications, he lost the first

(42:50):
fight. By indications, Uh,I think the Irish guy won the first
fight. Yeah, I mean hewon it. But he won eight rounds
well, as I said. Buteveryone says, what does you have to
do not to lose the fight?I said, don't get dropped the last
round? How about that? Well, that's true, that's true. I
mean he looked bad, you know, he got but I said, oh

(43:12):
he went down like a second andhe went down like a second. Shit,
I don't you know. A drawdidn't bother me that far, you
know, but but he forgot Yeah. But to his credit, he got
up and he came out. Hegot up, stood up. I was
doing. You know, that's that'syou know, a determination to wheel,
to win, you know, toget up and wind. I told you,
I think Deance Wilder fights like agiraffe. He's got played out legs,

(43:37):
he's got no balance, He's offbalance most of the time. I
mean, you know, if hehit you, he hit you with the
right end. I went over hisrecord of who he's got out. I
didn't know one guy except that oldCuban. Everybody else I've never heard of
him. Thirty eight guys. Inever heard of him. Steverney could have

(43:59):
that could have been eating uh uhCheney High School senior class. You know,
will you watch the fight? Willyou watch it this weekend? It's
your first day of the watch thatI'd have to pay for it. You
guys like that fight? Someone ofyour friends guys like that. Right,

(44:21):
Hey, Hans is gonna buy thefight, won't he? So you could
watch, Oh Hans, call Hansand see if he if he's gonna buy
the fight. What what ray?I didn't hear that. I said,
ask Hans if he's gonna buy thefight, he'll buy the fight, Oh,

(44:42):
Hans, Oh he'll probably buy it. Yeah, he loves to watch
the fight. Yeah, I getno joy on the watching those guys.
I don't. Hey, so,so you're saying, so the next two
days, Bob Aaron in PBC,Fox won't be calling you to do any
promotion for the fight. I havemore fun at the Brothers Stillhouse. Right

(45:06):
when I was, I got thegolden guns. I got a better fight
still. Oh, so, soFox won't be asking you to do a
promo for the for fight this weekend. Is that what you're saying? Oh?
No, they don't want to.They don't hear what I am to
say. But yeah, now you'retalking about we're talking about water. You

(45:27):
think you guys? I know, look, Joe lewis the great, you
know, Joe Loup with that withthat jab in his right hand, and
Rocky Mars, you don't think theywould be wilder easy with all the I
don't think Waterer could get past twowith Luke. I you know, I
know you think you'd get Marky trouble. He's five ten buck eighty five.

(45:52):
That is most Deante is a bigguy at two forty six seven who can
punch like a son of a gun. Yes, he's a headache for anybody
at any time. He'd have beena headache for Ali Ali. Yet problem
with tall guys zero who beat MarkDano? I can't remember. Yeah,

(46:12):
I know Eddie. I'm not sayinghe would have beat him. I said
he would give him problems as adan that long, Rocky, Rocky would
that's a lot of body, that'sa lot of body. I can't saying
he would have beat Hi, buthe would have givem problems Rocky at our
time with as Charles last night checkpretty good body puncher, pretty good,

(46:32):
pretty good buddy puncher, but alot of rim. You got to get
close, Yeah, I gotta getgoes. Well, that's what all he
ever did, would get closed.Hey, look how to get close?
Right? He came under He cameunderneath and can't worked his way up.
Yes, but you got a bigguy deonte Steppa sliding back, sliding back.

(46:52):
Rocky's gonna read. Marciano was abetter box for the here. Mark
Berro had a sneaky left hook behindthat right hand. Of course he did.
Of course he did. I'm not. Here's the other thing, right,
he was twice his cup. Iwould never say one guy would be

(47:14):
another until you put two guys together. I just said he would have been
headache for Rocky. He had beenheadache for Joe Joe Joe. He had
been headache for Ali. Ali hadproblem with tall guys Zora Foley, big
Kat Williams. He beat them guys, but he had problem with tall guy
Ernie Terrell. He had thrums withhim. With one hand in his pocket.

(47:42):
Wilder could never even hit Ali.How what would he hit Alie with?
Uh? The racer man, theeracer. That's just Steve kills.
Steve Kim calls his right hand theeracer. He could knock out the diver's
bump. By the way, youknow why he was exhausted, Well,

(48:04):
what do you call fired? Right? By the way, when you seen
Barciano tired in the ring? No, I agree, I agree, Eddie.
And that's when he went fifteen. That's when you have fifteen you know,
right right right? I know, but I mean, and I'll say
something else. You said that Walcottwasn't a good puncher. Walko, No,

(48:25):
no, no, I just no, no, Eddie, I did
not. I said he was notknown as a knockout king. Joe could
fight what the greatest fighters, buthe wasn't known as a knockout puncher.
He had thirty thirty two knockouts. He had thirty two knockouts in fifty something
wins. And that doesn't wilder. He might he might have, he might

(48:50):
have. Didn't he knock out asyou know? Yes he did with the
love talk, Yes he did.Yeah, he dropped Joe Louis with that
left talk Rob Joe Lois. Hehad good work and he knocked out.
He knocked Marxi Huddle down in thesecond round. But I think it was
a I think it was a steakyright hand. It wasn't love to It
was a sneaky right hand. Itwas a stinky right hand. But you

(49:14):
know that troop Rocky a little.Yeah, it did. He did.
Yeah, I came back up,he got right up. But he helped
it. No, no doubt anyway, not Ray. Are you you're not
working this fight? Are you?Yeah? No, I'm a little I
am a little hot about that.I'm a little hot about that. Yeah,
I should be working. Yeah,I would like to I would like
to. I'd like to think i'dgive some good insight. I'd like to

(49:36):
give a good you're the best guy. You're the best guy. That fuck
that. I appreciate Dny and youand you know you should be working on
all the fight. Well. Iappreciate that we got Lennox and Joe Joe
Goosen in the ringside and then youknow they're gonna have sean order in the
in the booths with Kate. Youknow, I like those guys, right,

(49:58):
but they're they're just I don't know, they're they're more exciting, You're
more you're more fun to listen to. You. I appreciate that. I'd
like to think of more fun listento. I'll take that because I'm not
there. They're knowledgeable guys, There'sno doubt they're knowledgeable guys. But you
know, I don't know, Idon't know. I'm a little I'm a
little hurt, a little hot thatI'm not at the fight. But you

(50:19):
know what they and you know thecutbacks, cutbacks, They cut back on
a lot of things. I'm notgoing to la now for for the fights
to be no studio shows anymore. So, Edie, was that you got
you got, you got a trailerfull of people. I've got my two

(50:43):
shows. I just fuck right, right? But I said, right,
man and family, shut a foxright, I said, what are you
gonna They're not known for their generosity. Better better you said it than me.
Better you said it than me anybody. You got a trailer full of

(51:06):
people? What? I'm sorry?I said, you have? Do you
have a trailer full of people? You got makeup people doing all that stuff?
Oh yeah, yeah, my daughterhere today with her girlfriend on the
set. Oh beautiful, beautiful. How's the last week been? And has
it been the same as the otherweeks? You're a little bit different.

(51:29):
I'm sorry what I can't hear? You're breaking for what? How has the
last week of shooting been? Hasit been the same as the other weeks?
Are a little different. We we'redoing a two partner. We're doing
a two part of as the finale, So we got two weeks in a
row. This is the second. This is the second of the two partners,
and that's going to be the finale. And it's been great. I

(51:50):
mean, I it's crazy because youknow, it's a lot of people are
uh you know, it's it's alot of publicity. You want to talkumentary,
Edie, Are you gonna get alittle t tiary eyed at the end
of a little a little a fewlittle drops gonna fall? You know,

(52:12):
I can't say anything about the end, but it's I like. I like
the ending a lot. I thinkit's really good. No, Edie,
I said, but are you gonnabe Are you gonna get a little wheepy
eyed when the show's over? Whenthis is goodbye? Now? You know
you gotta think about your cast matesand everything. Well, Ray, I'm
an actor. I'll act like I'mat you gonna you're gonna act like you're

(52:34):
hurt? Oh man, No,no, all right, listen, honestly,
look, it's been the greatest job. Yeah, and I have some
tremendous friends here. But you knowit's time to go, you know,
Yeah, time to move on,and you're gonna do more. You can
do more film work, you cando more forward. Yeah, I'm looking
forward to moving on. It's beena great job though, of course.

(53:00):
Right, so now let me justgonna let you go here. What is
your prediction? What is your predictionfor this fight? Yeah? Good idea,
this fight. I don't give ashot, No, what's your prediction
for If the Wilder connects with theright hand, he's gonna knock him out.
He does, then he's gonna gettired and he's gonna get out box

(53:20):
and it's you know, I mean, look, put the toss up.
I mean, uh, Wilde, how many downs without getting even the outside
of But but I can't, Ican't. But Wilder, what's punch is
pretty well? Not Wilder. Uhwhat's the fury? Yeah, he puts
punch pretty well. But you knowwhat ross right? When he slips,

(53:44):
he's not offensive. No, he'sgotta be you know, actually defensive.
So when he slips in punches,he's not throwing punches. You done about
fury? Yeah, yeah, no, he's not knowing. No to say,
he's gonna come out and make ita dog fight, but it can
war. I don't see. Ithink he's gonna try to make Wilder look

(54:04):
bad, get frustrated, you know, and then turn it into like a
dog fight. You know. Listen, I'll tell you what he's what he's
good at, because I've seen himdo it before. He's a he's a
pretty good rough house fighter, youknow. In other words, he makes
it kind of dirty Oh yeah,he'll yeah, yeah, yeah, he'll
hold, he'll shove, he'll push. You know, he uses storms,

(54:27):
right, he button and when ifhe gets that fight going, that could
make uh, he's a lot physicallystronger than Wilder, right right, and
if he doesn't want it, what'sWilder way? Two twelve? No Wilder,
no d Wilder is two forty two. You're kidding when you said he

(54:47):
came into two nine. I knowhe he comes into two forty. That's
a natural way two forty. He'sjust a tall guy, he's said seven.
You know, he's a big,tall guy. I don't know what
he's weighted, he any, Idon't know. If he's getting a sixty
seven, then yeah, he's twoforty. You know, he comes out
between two forty two forty five. That's been his nuts a weight. Well

(55:08):
what was his weight in the amateurstwo ten? I don't I don't even
know it. He fought heavyweight, yeah, whatever it was, you know,
but he's he's gone out. Idon't know. I don't know what
these guys are on these days, you know. I mean he looks to
me like he's had a little help. I don't know. I gotta tell
you meet him, and he Idon't know. He worshes as you know,
sixty seven. You got a bigappetite. You have appetite, you

(55:31):
hit the weights and you do theboxing wred. I think you can pack
it on and make coming uncomfortably.I don't think he's on a bit choose.
I don't think so. I reallydon't. You see him. He's
pretty, you see him pretty. He's pretty lean, he's pretty lean.
He's still he's caught like a motherhubbybody's pretty lean. Well, I mean
I set him in the amateurs. He was just yeah, well, a

(55:51):
lot of guys are you know,a lot of guys were here. He
wasn't a kid, yeah, no, no, and look guys like Sean
Porterfier won sixty and sixty five andhim sure's down to forty seven. Now
you know what I mean. SoI'm just saying, you know, yeah,
I don't know anyhah. And lastthing, last thing, here's the
only thing I didn't know if youheard about it. Um, I just
the Caleb plant he won satur Idon't know if you sat to fight Cale

(56:14):
plant one. Caleb plant one andhe got They offered him canello for me,
and he turned on the fight byall on indication. I don't know
exact story, if it was notenough money or whatever. He turned on
the fight. He said he didn'thave enough time down Caleb Plant turned down,

(56:35):
Yeah for me, for Singco deMayo. He said, didn't have
enough time. And I'm saying, you just got off a fight you want
clearly ten round you stopped to gotin tenth round by indication, wasn't you
didn't get marked up or anything. You take a couple of weeks off,
take your wife away, get reacquaintedwith her, and then come back.
You still got two months. Wellhe probably thingured he couldn't bloke, but

(57:01):
no call could fight kid high boxing, that Q tough as they come a
lot of heart to confidence they come. Why would you take the fight?
I don't understand he was in withthat German, That German kid right right?
The German kid was not much ofa fighter. Okay, but I

(57:22):
know he had a record. Butwhere where No? But what I'm saying
is he come out of it.I'm pretty unscathed, no cats, no
bridge and no bruises. So whywouldn't you take the fight? Why would
you take I don't think the guyis looking for a real, real fight.
But but you we got you,you beat Canello. Not only the

(57:44):
payday now either, say for myunderstanding there, I don't think it's the
payday. Isn't not enough Again,I'm only getting a second hand. But
when I read and what I heard, But by all indications, take the
fight. I think I think he'dbe a headache for Canelo because of his
boxing. You lay, Yeah, still gonna be a lot, still be

(58:06):
the biggest big day kid. Wellif he says he's as good as he
says he is, and I justwant to Yeah, I wonder. I
wonder what Harry Grabb would have done, right, Harry grabbed, would have
fun Canello plant? Uh wonder ifyou're in the same night, that's what

(58:29):
That's what he would have done.He fought once a week, I know,
I knowed in nineteen steen he foughtforty eight times one I know if
one year, yeah, that's maybethere's entire career. Yeah, I know,
I know. Oh shit, it'sred word sugar. Rob Didn't he

(58:50):
have like one hundred and seventy fivefights and one hundred and twenty knocks?
Who's that Robinson? I'm not notquite Yeah, out of forty five fights.
Yeah, yeah, his knockout presentwas highest seventy, but it was
Sandy Sadler had one hundred and uhhad one hundred, one hundred and nine
knockouts in one hundred and forty sevenfifty fights. More have Archie Moore Archie

(59:15):
Moore had he had a love knockoutstoo, Yeah, but Sandy Sadler has
the second most of the highest knockotsof all time. I forget how many
brothers can had. Robinson had alove of knockout. Yeah yeah he did,
Yeah he did. But uh,I mean, I mean I laughed
when people say may Wethers the alltime great. Oh god, I mean
how great time? Great? Withforty eight fight stop. I know,

(59:37):
I know, stop Eddie. Theydon't know if these guys, But I'm
just I was just talking about Caneloand plant I thought that, you know,
that's it. But a great fightfor Caleb. I think Kila would
give him headaches. He may boxhim great pay day and he's just got
off a fight that he went prettyeasily. And why when you get taken
a couple of weeks off and gotright back to it. I don't know,

(59:59):
just my thought. I think plants. I think plants. I'm gonna
be surprised if he keeps winning.Uh. I think he's I think he's
ready to be beat. They're talkingabout him and him have been. He's
got a straight style. I don'tlike his style. Just talking about him,
and don't be a little sneaky,lu that get he have to cuts

(01:00:20):
off the dad and you know, but he's stiff, right, He's like
a board. He's uh, he'sgot no fluidity about it. Guys,
I can't get nailed. They godown, they don't get up right right,
understand, I understand, you knowwhat I mean. He looks stiff
in me. Yeah, I gotyou, I got you, I got
you. But you know, listen, I've been bolling before. But I

(01:00:43):
just don't see him going if hefights somebody who can funch, I think
he's he's gonna have a problem.Well we'll see, we'll see. Yeah
them, And but what's your prediction? When is wilder than not? This?
Uh? I think Alder knocks himount. I think I don't know.
I'm not gonna even prediction what round, But I think before I don't think

(01:01:04):
he gets to the tenth round.Let's put it that way. I don't
think it's a I mean it's abig thing, say first round, second,
but you don't go. I don'tthink it's to the tenth round.
And I said that at his lastfight. I said that, I said,
and this guy has been in bettershape than he was the first time,
like a hundred pounds, yeah, yeh pound, he wants one hundred

(01:01:29):
pounds. Why he was he wasfour, he was like four hundred pounds
or something. Yeah, But becausehe had a stated that you got,
he fell into a depression and empty. So yeah, and then he ate
the whole you know, cafeteria, right right. I gotta go back to

(01:01:53):
work. I gotta go back towork. Always the pleasure, Edny,
we gotta bet. We got abet. You're taking fury of taking of
water for dinner at the joint.Dinner at the joint. You got it.
I'll pick theory. I'll pick theoryin the decision, okay, And
I picked water knocking him dead? All right? Thank you, brother,

(01:02:13):
same here, thank you, Eddie. Take care? Well? How about
that? About that? Two goodguests today? I couldn't get one last
week. I finally got one atthe end and we got Jim Kemmings.
It was wonderful last week, Jim, I love you to my kids.
Couldn't get one and then you know, I said, and then Jim,
Jim stood so um, and Inever got two today? How about that?

(01:02:37):
It was good? So man, that was good. Mike. Um.
I'm glad you're here for decorations.But man, I don't need to
say anything. Those guys are ona roll, the best, the bestest.
Yea, I know I know howcolor to join him a right,
right? Yeah, no, letthem talk. That's that thing, right,
you're the best interviewer. You are. I'm not the good in it,
but he's when they're on a roll, you let him go. Well,

(01:03:00):
I don't know. I thought thatwas interesting though. What what Mark
said that when when Fury says Iwant to stop him in two rounds,
that he's saying that Fury thinks thelonger this fight goes on, the more
of a chance I have to gethit and knocked down. So I need
to make something happen because the percentagesof me getting knocked down are greater the

(01:03:22):
longer the fight goes And I thinkthat's a solid Then you then when you
hear that strategy, you're like,oh yeah, it totally makes sense.
You know what that means You fearthe other guy's punch with obviously, think
he's gonna means you think he's gonnavetch you catch him first. It's not
like it was a one time luckything. Twice, that's right. So
I just thought that was interesting whathe says. That's a valid point.
Very you know, Mark's very insightful, very insightful. What makes him such

(01:03:45):
a great writer, And he's verygood at what he does. You know,
Mark does these bits, these thesewell have you know, uh,
profile when he comes profile pieces likeyou know for ESPN about the fighters and
stuff. It goes through their hometown, and anythink I think he's the best
at it. I think that's that'shis that's his stand in English, right,
Oh Mark, Yeah, he's bornright a customers skirt in Manhattan or

(01:04:11):
something. No, Mark said,New York, New York guys, New
York as you can get. Hewas actually born two bucks from the Garden
and Caddy corner from the garden onthe eighth Avenue and thirty first, I
believe Mark right now and in thegardens between the thirty third, thirty second
and thirty fourth on seventh Avenue,so anyway makes sense? Yeah, yeah,
so anyhah um and seven between seventhand eighth I should say between seventhing

(01:04:34):
on eighth even and Mark was bornthirty first Sunday, so he literally grew
up there, could walk to thegames all everything. Um, lady,
JO can't thank I was very happy. Thank you from my friend Mark Krigel.
Wonderful writer, uh announcer and andjust the best to me, the
best writer going for biographies. Thankyou for my biography, and thank you

(01:04:54):
for coming on today's show. Uhfriend. And O'Neill, you know,
shooting the last week of his showand still have fun time to give us.
You know. Sometimes he loves boxing. He loved talking box and he
knows boxing. He knows. That'swhat we get arguments with that bout everybody.
He's definit of the old fighters,Joe, which I am too.
Don't be wrong, but I'm justbeing realistic. Deonta Walter six seven,

(01:05:18):
He's gonna be heading for anybody becauseof his height, more us, his
ability can punch like that. He'sa heading. Not say anyone beat them,
guys. No, that's like comparingLou Garrig to Mike Trout or something.
It's hard to do because they're bothfantastic and people just didn't look Jim
Brown was the biggest guy in thegame and the fastest guy in the game.

(01:05:40):
That doesn't happen anymore, right, you know what I mean? The
linebackers are running, running, runningfast. People look different and there are
different it's just a different training methodsand things. All that stuff's different now
it's hard to compare, that's right. So again, you want to promote

you speak to one of the guysif you really look about it, Michael
Friend says, and was in theForbes Top the Top hundred, Top fifty
all time mob Bosses richest small bossmeaning brought more money to a single family.
Michael brought more money to a singlefamily since then was since al Capone.
