put her Crohn's disease intoremission and ease symptoms of
fibromyalgia, depression,anxiety, diabetes.
Early on, she discovered herpsychic and intuitive abilities,

your unique energy.
Jess, welcome to Ready SetReiki.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Thank you, tracy, I'm
excited to be here.
All right, Well, wonderful.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Wonderful, so let's
begin our journey together.
So tell the listeners a littlebit about yourself.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Well, I'm a grandma.
I have two really fun, reallyhard grandkids.
They are 16 months apart, oneis seven and the other is five,
and I get to spend a lot of timewith them because my daughter,
their mom is autistic and theirdad is undiagnosed, probably
(03:14):
autistic and they struggle a lot.
So they live really close and Iget to spend a lot of time with
them.
So I love having my ownbusiness, that I get to work
around being grandma and playingwith my grandkids.
I have been married to my bestfriend for 24 years.
(03:35):
We have three kids my oldest, who has two kids.
My middle child is on the LGBTQspectrum and is in a marriage
of a throuple, so we have some.
There's two trans and oneintersex in that relationship.
(03:56):
So we're very LGBTQIAaffirmative and open to working
with that affirmative and opento working with that um and I
have.
I have left the lds religionand that was the faith
transition that tracy mentionedum and as I I left that um, I
(04:20):
felt like I lost myself.
Um, I had lived very devout, itwas my whole life, it was my
personality and when I left Ididn't know who I was anymore
and about a month after Irealized that I didn't believe
anymore.
I found Reiki.
(04:42):
Oh, beautiful more.
Um, I found Reiki oh beautiful, and that gave me grounding and a
safe space to rediscover me.
And and um in 2008, I wasdiagnosed with Crohn's disease.
I I was very, very sick.
(05:03):
Um spent months in the in inbed, had time in the hospital,
um, and my doctor told me I wasa special case.
And um in 2018, I found myfirst coach and she helped me to
learn how to manage it better.
(05:26):
And she taught me to startlistening to my intuition, and
that really began part of myfaith crisis.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Was listening to my
intuition and learning about
medical things that my highdemand religion were saying were
bad, and I was like, wait aminute, wait a minute.
(06:00):
Green tea is really good foryou, but the LDS church says
don't drink treat, don't drinktea.
Why, why?
And things like that just kindof all fell into place to lead
me down the rabbit hole ofresearch and anyway.
Um so when, when I starteddoing Reiki and healing my body,
(06:24):
I had my colonoscopy scheduledand I went in and my doctor did
the work and I'd already quittaking the medication, the
medication was crazy.
It had horrible side effects.
So I quit taking the medicationand he says to me if I didn't
know you, because we've beenworking together for 10 plus
(06:47):
years, by this point I wouldn'tknow you had Crohn's disease.
There is no evidence of Crohn'sdisease in your colon.
So I've been off Crohn'smedication for more than five
years.
More than five years.
Um, I was still suffering withsome of the symptoms, but it's,
(07:09):
it's super manageable, it's,it's in remission.
Um, one of the side effects ofthe medication I was on was that
it gave me fibromyalgia typesymptoms.
I haven't been able to getthose completely to go into
remission, but the reiki doeshelp manage the symptoms so I
been able to get thosecompletely to go into remission.
But the Reiki does help managethe symptoms so I'm able to
function so much better than Iwas when it was all so high.
(07:35):
And one of the things that Ilearned as I'm going through
this journey of learning how toheal and how to heal me, how to
heal others was I learned abouthow the emotions that we stuff
in our bodies cause havoc.
So a little bit of my historyis I married a man who was
(07:57):
bipolar and we had a daughterwho wasn't diagnosed that she
was autistic until she was inher late teens.
We had another kid and then wegot divorced and so I did the
single mom thing for a littlebit with a very, very hard child
(08:18):
.
She didn't sleep, she wasalways angry, she was violent,
she was always into stuff, veryhyperactive, and she was hard at
school.
She was hard at home.
As she got older she started tohold it together while she was
(08:39):
at school, but then she'd comehome and I was her safe place
and she would explode all overme.
And as a member of this church Iwas taught that negative
emotions are from the devil, andso we stuffed them.
Those are not okay.
I can't feel those feelings, and those feelings I'm very sure
(09:06):
are the reason why I developedso many illnesses is because I
had all of this crap building upin my body right and I didn't
know how to process my emotions.
I didn't know how to deal withmy emotions.
I also have this family linegoing back centuries that have
(09:28):
done the same crap.
My family goes back to theMormon pioneers, so they
traveled from Europe to SaltLake City and so it's been
ingrained in my ancestors toalso do this.
So I've inherited their crapbecause they didn't heal it, and
(09:51):
I feel like I am the person whois supposed to heal the family
line.
So I've done a lot of work onmyself, I've done work on my
sister, I've done work on mysister, I've done work on my
kids, on my grandkids, and I'velearned how to manage my
emotions so much better.
I mean, they still come up andthey still have a hard time.
(10:13):
Every now and then, likeyesterday, my grandson was super
triggering me.
And I'm like, but I now havetools.
I was able to, you know, take a, a deep breath, massage my
vagus nerve, you know, settlethings down.
So, um, those are things that Iteach in my reiki sessions.
I know some reiki practitionersdo just reiki.
(10:36):
They just do the reiki on allthe reiki positions, which, if
you're not familiar with that,it's like, um, all of the
chakras plus different places onyour body.
And it just basically makes sureyou get Reiki all over your
body.
It helps the practitioner stayin because you really don't need
to do all of that because Reikigoes where it needs to go.
(10:58):
But it helps the practitionerstay focused and those kind of
things.
So I trust the Reiki is goingto go where it needs to things.
So I trust the Reiki is goingto go where it needs to go.
So I start the Reiki at thebeginning of the session and
then we talk about and I use myintuition and my psychic
abilities to figure out what itis that each client needs.
(11:18):
And we follow spirit and whatthe client wants in each of my
sessions.
So if the client doesn't knowwhat they want to talk about,
they don't know what's botheringthem, they just know they're
bothered then we'll tap into myintuition and um I'll.
One of the things that wewanted to share in this was how
(11:41):
intuition can be developed, howwe can use Reiki to develop our
intuition.
So one of the things I teach myclients is that you have to
learn to trust yourself, andthat can be really hard if
you've never trusted yourself,if you've been told you're not
trustworthy, if you've been toldthat your thoughts are not safe
(12:05):
.
So we work through those issuesand then we work on little baby
steps on how to start trustingyour intuition.
So an assignment that I cangive to a client will be like
okay, I want you to just trustyourself and ask yourself which
shirt should I wear?
And it's a simple question andthe consequences of which shirt
(12:35):
you wear are not huge.
I mean, there's consequences, like if you're wanting to be in
an up mood, you wear like abright color.
If you want to be mellow andsubdued, you wear a darker color
.
I mean, colors affect you.
But I teach to start trustingyour intuitions on something
small like that and to askyourself little questions like
(12:56):
that every day Should I brush myteeth now, or should I take my
vitamins and then brush my teeth?
And when you get those littleteeny hints of intuition, you
start to trust yourself.
And then you also learn how youhear your intuition, if you
feel it, if you hear it.
(13:16):
We all have the five basicpsychic senses and intuition is
one of those and it's up hereright in your head and it's a
knowing.
But you can also feel it withyour fingers, with your touch,
you can hear it with your earsand sometimes you hear it with
(13:39):
your ears, inside your head oroutside your head, and when
you're starting to learn how todo that, it can also be a little
scary because you're like, dude, am I hearing things?
Am I developing somepsychological problem?
No, no, you're hearing.
You're hearing your intuition, you can see it with your eyes,
(14:02):
you can taste it, touch it,smell it, all of them you know,
just like your regular fivesenses.
So for me, one of the reallyreally interesting things for me
was when I had started doingReiki.
So I started in Novemberlearning and by February I was
offering sessions for free tojust kind of get the feel for it
(14:23):
, and I was doing a session fora client and I was smelling
bread, like baking bread.
And I was in my kitchen, in mydining room next to my kitchen,
and no one was home and I'm likewhy am I smelling baking bread?
And so I asked her, I said andwe're doing ancestral work at
(14:45):
the time and I said did yourgrandma make really good bread?
And she's like no, but she madereally good tortillas.
And I was like huh, and I justkind of let it roll around in my
head and just thought about itfor a while.
And then I had another sessionwith another client doing
ancestral work and I had anothersmell come to me and that smell
(15:10):
tied to the ancestor and um,after that I started asking, is
this ancestor here?
And the smells quit coming.
But I get tingling sensations inmy legs and, um, sometimes I
(15:31):
will hear them give me messages.
Um, I will feel them.
Give me messages.
I feel a lot more than I hear.
Um, and sometimes I will seeimages, and it's funny because
most of the images I see arecartoons, not necessarily
cartoons that were real, butlike I'll see an old man in
(15:55):
overalls and it's verycartoonish in my brain, but I'll
talk to him and say, okay, I amseeing your great great
grandfather and he's doing this.
Like I'll see him do happydances.
And so you can.
You can develop your intuition, your psychic abilities as you
heal using Reiki, because Reikiis such a good, such a good way
(16:20):
to help heal yourself, healyourself spiritually,
emotionally, physically andmentally, and it goes so well
with everything else you'redoing.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
You can use it, you
shared earlier about when you
started.
So when did the Reiki come intoyour life?
Did you find that Reiki foundyou or you found Reiki?
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Okay.
So in October of 2019, I went ona retreat and it was called
Awaken the Healer Within, and itwas being done by my coach that
I mentioned before, and at thetime she was calling herself a
chronic wellness coach, but shehad shifted to using um energy
(17:09):
healing to help heal bodies andum to do more to tap into her
psychic abilities.
But I hadn't really caught thatthat's what she was doing at
her retreat.
I had paid to go there likemonths before, and as I get
there, it's like all theseenergy healers, she's brought in
(17:30):
to talk to us and to do workwith us, and we did like sound
healing and she had one gal cometalk to us about ancestral
healing and she was a reikimaster.
So that was my first realintroduction to it, but I hadn't
experienced it.
So then it Thanksgiving weekend.
(17:50):
I'm in the middle of my faithcrisis.
My faith crisis really happenedright after that retreat.
Um, I went to that retreat andI I came home thinking, wow,
that was more spiritual thananything I've ever experienced
in the temple, at church,anything.
(18:10):
And so I did some research anddiscovered there's shamanism in
the history of Mormonism andthen saw some other things that
tied into that history that mademe go wait a minute, and then I
learned there's a whole bunchof gaslighting in Mormonism,
anyway.
So I'm in the middle of myfaith crisis and like depression
(18:35):
and confusion, and I'm BlackFriday.
I'm just scrolling throughadvertisements and there's an
advertisement for a Reiki courseand I was like that's it, it's
what I need.
And so I signed up for Reiki, that Reiki course, and I am
(18:56):
hyper-focused on it.
I had my Reiki master byJanuary, by January.
So I've been doing Reiki foralmost five years now and, um, I
, I just love it.
I love how it's helped me, Ilove how it helps my clients, I
(19:21):
love how it's helped my children.
So I'm going to share thisabout um, about my daughter, as
I have worked on me, I've sharedthings with her and I've worked
on her occasionally.
But I'll tell you, it's kind ofhard to work on your family,
for me anyway, and part of thatpart of that is because when I
was their mom I mean, my kidsare all adults now but when I
(19:44):
was their mom, when they werelittle, I didn't know better and
so I was not a good mom and asI work on healing them, their
childhood trauma comes up andthen I feel like crap, and so
then I have to work on me and Idon't like it.
I mean, I like working on me,but it's really hard for oh,
(20:09):
sorry, that was my alarm forwhen we were going to do this
later.
Let me make sure I've turned itoff all the way.
Yeah, we're good, okay, oh,where was I?
(20:32):
Oh?
Okay.
So what's been really cool isI've seen my daughter grow.
I have seen her start torealize oh, what I do here, this
is a problem.
And she's she.
I used to call her my alphabetsoup kid.
She was diagnosed with bipolardisorder.
(20:53):
She was diagnosed with bipolardisorder, adhd, oppositional
defiant disorder, pretty muchanything that is under the
mental health spectrum, exceptfor borderline personality
disorder, and I lost the name ofthe other one, anyway.
(21:16):
So like everything.
And then she also got Crohn'sdisease when she was in junior
high.
So she's just had it hard.
But I'm seeing her make so muchimprovement, so I'm seeing how
healing me helps heal thosearound me.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
And it's one of the
benefits that I don't know that
everybody talks about.
But when you heal you, thosearound you heal.
And another thing that I'vealso learned is that as you heal
one part of you, other parts ofyou start to heal.
So it's, it's got thiscascading effect.
(21:56):
That's really cool.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, when you heal,
you're in service, and when
you're in service, you heal, yes, yes.
So what type of?
What system of Reiki did youstudy?
Usui, usui?
So, as you've been out you saidfive years, correct that you've
been working with the energywhat do you find is a common
misconception about Reiki?
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Okay, well being that
, I still live in the middle of
Mormonville.
Here it's witchcraft.
It's kind of interestingbecause there's a divide amongst
the Mormons.
Some of them are very into itand some of them are very
against it.
So, um, when my sister-in-lawfound out I was doing Reiki, she
(22:42):
thought it was the Reiki thatled me out of the church.
Uh yeah, and that was a bigmisconception.
And another one of my formersister-in-laws was like she's
worshiping the devil and it'snot.
Reiki is not religious.
Reiki is not devil worship.
Reiki is energy.
(23:03):
It's just energy.
It's science, it's the energyparticles that are floating
around.
I mean, everything is energy.
They've discovered when theyuse a small enough micro or a
microscope that's strong enoughto see, small enough that the
things that we claimed werematter are actually energy at
(23:28):
their smaller parts, and energycan interact with energy, and
energy doesn't have bounds andenergy doesn't go away, and so
Reiki is just a way of askingthe energy to perform healing.
(23:51):
I've heard it explained thatit's like an antenna is the
Reiki practitioner, and all theairwaves that your radio would
receive go through the antenna, which is the Reiki practitioner,
and then the Reiki practitionersends it to the radio, which is
(24:11):
you, and it's not that I ambossing the Reiki around.
It's not that I.
It's just I've had theseattunements done that make me
more sensitive to the energy sothat I can ask it to please help
this person or this group ofpeople or myself.
(24:36):
And one of the things Iabsolutely love about using
Reiki, versus some of the otherenergy healing techniques, is
that Reiki uses this energythat's out here rather than this
energy that's in here, andReiki, when it goes through me
to get to you, it heals me atthe same time, and so I love
(25:00):
that.
It's a service for you, but Ibenefit from it.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Very good.
So, as you've been out helpingothers and helping them through
their struggles and you touchedon this a little bit in your
beginning what was the biggestchallenge or struggle you have
faced in your own healingjourney?
Speaker 3 (25:23):
My biggest challenge
was that nobody said healing
hurts, that it can be reallyhard, and that you really need
somebody to help you.
You need someone to be whetherthat's your spouse, if they're
capable, or a coach or atherapist or an energy healer.
(25:44):
You need somebody to help youthrough those really hard times
because energy, energy healinghurts.
We have to feel those emotions.
You have to feel them to getthem to go away.
And one of the beautiful thingsabout Reiki is that when you
feel those emotions, with Reiki, they're not as hard as cause.
(26:08):
I've done Reiki and I've donetherapy and there's a really big
difference.
Therapy, you just dig in andyou find the trauma and you talk
about it.
But if you add Reiki to it, itsoftens the trauma and you don't
actually have to do as muchdigging, you can just go.
Okay, where do you feel it?
(26:28):
Let's release it.
Give it to universe, give it toMother Earth, give it to God if
you believe in god.
Whatever, whatever works foryou and it's it.
It simplifies the healingprocess beautiful.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
So when it's time for
you to get an energetic tune-up
, what are some qualities thatyou look for in a reiki
practitioner?
Speaker 3 (26:50):
okay, I look for one
that's not religious um.
I look for someone whose energyI resonate with.
Um.
I look for someone who umcharges enough that I know she's
(27:15):
not just giving it away, butisn't charging so much that it
feels like she's in it to makemoney, because that's one of the
issues I had when I waslearning about Reiki.
Madam Takata brought Reiki tothe United States and she made
(27:36):
it elite.
She made it very expensive, andI do not believe it should be
expensive.
I do not believe it is for theelite, I believe it is for the
masses, and I also willintuitively check in and make
sure that my pricing is correctfor each client so that they can
(27:59):
get the best out of what theyget.
So I look for someone who'sintuitive.
I look for someone who ishonest and someone who is not
judgmental.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Good.
So what advice would you givesomeone who's just entering?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
spiritual work.
Oh my goodness, embrace it.
Um.
Find a guide.
Um.
Read.
Oh my goodness, read, read, read um and read broad and, as
you find the things that areinteresting, then go deep.
(28:38):
I would recommend that you tryout an energy healer.
At least give them one sessionand make sure that you fit yeah.
Because, you're not going youfit, yeah, um, because you're
not going to fit with everybody.
(28:58):
I know I don't fit witheverybody.
As a healer, I don't want towork with everybody.
Not everybody's energy alignswith my energy.
Um, find someone who's who'svibration matches where you want
to go.
Um vibration matches where youwant to go.
(29:21):
Um.
So spirit just told me that youneed to drop judgment when
you're heading out into yourspiritual journey.
Drop judgment, yeah, um.
I was taught in mormonism thatwe don't judge people.
Judge not that you be notjudged.
That's the scripture, right, um?
(29:42):
But then they turned around andthey taught us to judge.
And so, as I've been goingthrough my journey, letting go
of judgment has been huge andit's been really hard because
it's been ingrained in me sinceI was a child.
Um, but as you embracespirituality, let go of judgment
(30:06):
and pick the bits and piecesthat fit for you.
Um, I've heard that religion isspirituality through someone
else's eyes.
Yes, and you want to havespirituality be yours.
You want to pick what fits foryou.
You don't have to match thebeliefs of your parents, of your
teachers, of your boss, of yourcoworkers and your neighbors.
(30:28):
You need to find your ownbeliefs and use that intuition
and check in and say, okay, isthis what's right for me?
Right, because everyone'sspiritual journey should look
different.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Different.
Yeah yeah, I was raisedEpiscopalian and in my household
it would be colored in the ideaof Christian, in the idea of.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
Christian, but going
to church.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
That's when some of
the judgment was happening.
When they would, people in thechurch, and even my own family,
would make criticisms about howsomeone dressed where they were
sitting in the church, right, you know, and we had to look a
certain way.
You know, I had to wear a dress.
I had to wear pantyhose, like Iwas.
I had to get dressed up.
(31:20):
My mother would put my hair incurlers at night because we had
to look a certain way.
Coming through the door of thechurch, yep, and if someone, my
goodness, was sitting in the pewthat my grandparents could
traditionally sat at, who isthat person?
Did they not know?
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Yeah, did they not
know?
That's our seat?
Speaker 2 (31:39):
It was almost like
and you know they, my family,
are good people, but it was, italmost was like, okay, well, we
went to church on Sunday, sothat's a pass to you know, be a
certain way during the week andthen we'll reset on Sunday.
So there's a little bit of, Ithink, throughout different
religions.
Yeah, I was a teenager I wentto a Methodist church and then,
(32:02):
as I raised my children, we wereat a Baptist church.
So a little bit of it, you findit.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
I mean human beings.
That judgment kind of comes inall of the churches.
I mean, how many churches saywe're the one true church?
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Oh yeah, and then
make you feel bad for not
tithing.
You need to.
You know how dare you go on avacation.
We need money for the church.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Yeah, yeah.
That was actually.
One of the really big breakersfor me was about the time I left
the church.
There was a whistleblower whoshowed where our tithing money
was going and it was beinginvested and the church had
billions of dollars and I'm like, are you kidding me?
I was a Cub Scout leader and Iwas forking out money out of my
pocket to pay for Cub Scoutactivities Because there wasn't
(32:53):
enough in the church budget.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Yeah, yeah, it's
amazing.
I mean, you go into somechurches and it's like going to
a rock concert.
You know these beautifulbathrooms and beautiful rooms
and technical things or audio, Imean sound systems, you name it
.
Yeah, so what books do yourecommend?
Speaker 3 (33:12):
So, what books do you
recommend?
Oh, okay, so one of the bestbooks I ever read was called my
Year with Eleanor, and moment Ican't remember the author.
But my Year with Eleanor is anovel and a memoir Kind of a
(33:34):
history novel, okay, memoir.
Kind of a history novel, okay.
So, um, the the author goesthrough and every other chapter
she talks about things she'sdoing in her life.
And but it begins with shereads a quote from Eleanor
Roosevelt that says every day,do something that scares you.
And so she takes it on herselfto do a year where every day she
(33:54):
does something that scares her.
And then every other chapter isabout Eleanor Roosevelt's life.
And it's just so well writtenand it was like the first thing
that ever pushed me outside ofmy little box.
I read it while I was still inthe church.
It took several more yearsbefore I left, but it helped me
(34:19):
to quit living small, to startliving big, to start embracing
more.
And then I would recommendanything by Jen Sincero.
She's the author of You're aBadass, and then there's
whatever after the titles.
Her books are amazing.
(34:40):
If you want to get into Reiki,I would just say go to the
library and pick up a book onReiki and then find a Reiki
master to work under.
Um, yeah, those are my biggest, but I am a reader.
(35:09):
I'm a voracious reader, like Ihave read over 50 books this
year already.
Um, so I I highly recommendreading and, like I said earlier
, so, I highly recommend readingand, like I said earlier, read
broad and then read deep, verygood.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
So what services do
you offer?
Do you classes, events,trainings?
Speaker 3 (35:24):
I do one-on-ones and
I also do classes and live
classes and recorded classes.
I am in the process of gettingthose recorded classes up on my
website.
I'm going to be building alibrary of classes, but I
(35:45):
absolutely love my one-on-ones.
I love how every session isdifferent and I never know
what's going to happen.
I'm in the process of beingdiagnosed with ADHD ADHD and
it's all starting to make sense.
Why?
Why?
Every other job I've ever triedhas bored the crap out of me
and I love this.
I absolutely love this becausethere's variety, there's change,
(36:07):
I get to work with new people, but I love my one-on-ones.
I love being able to help people, um, and I love the ancestral
healing.
I love when we tap in and thoseancestors show up and we get to
hear from them and get adviceand get love.
It's, it's awesome.
So my one-on-ones, um, and Ialso have a.
(36:30):
I have a Facebook group, um, Iwas hacked and I lost my
facebook group, so I'mrebuilding and it's really small
right now, but I in it, I teachabout how to use crystals,
about your chakras, about reiki, about pretty much anything
energy healing and anything inthe witchy realm.
(36:53):
And when I, when I, witchy,it's about manifestation.
It's about using the mooncycles.
It's not about, you know, cursing people.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Okay, Well, where can
we find you?
Do you have a website?
Do you have a Facebook page?
Speaker 3 (37:10):
How can we get in
contact with you?
My website is jesslloydcomSuper simple, and on my website
you can sign up for my weeklynewsletter.
My website is jesslloydcomSuper simple, and on my website
you can sign up for my weeklynewsletter.
And I wish I had a simple linkfor my Facebook group right now,
but I don't.
It will be on my website, butyou know, facebook says you have
(37:33):
to have so much something orother I don't remember what it
is before you can put a name onyour and make your link easy.
So my link is crazy, um, but ifyou want to go, look for me on
Facebook, I am just JessicaLloyd on Facebook, um, but
there's lots of them, so we'llhave to try and match the face.
So you'll have to try and matchthe face Match the mask Very
(37:55):
good, so I know it's a littleharder to find.
I'm also on Instagram.
That is jesslloydpicscom.
I started that way back when Iwas doing photography and I just
have never changed it.
I figure pics fits.
I mean we're sharing pics onInstagram, right?
I figure pics fits.
I mean we're sharing pics onInstagram, right?
(38:16):
And I'm also on TikTok, jessicaLloyd.
And I am on Pinterest and thatone is Jess Lowe.
J-e-s-l-l-o.
So it's the first three lettersof my name, my first and last
name, perfect.
So those are places you canfind me Wonderful.
Well, that ends are places youcan find me Wonderful.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Well, that ends the
first part of our journey.
I'm going to continue as yourguide to the second part, which
are questions sent in by Reikistudents and listeners.
So here we go.
Number one you had mentionedthis a little bit earlier as
well.
What techniques do yourecommend to help improve an
intuition?
Speaker 3 (38:52):
Yeah, I talked about
that a little bit.
You need to learn how to trustand love yourself, and so this
this was kind of cool.
I just recently read thisSelf-love is accepting yourself
authentically, your authenticself, and that to me, when I
(39:13):
started to accept who myauthentic self was, that was
when things started opening upand blossoming.
So that's definitely a tip.
And then just start babystepping, do little things to
help tap into your intuition.
You can also use, like, somephysical things to help you tap
into your intuition.
(39:33):
You can do muscle testing.
You can use a pendulumkinesiology that's kind of into
the muscle testing.
You can use tarot cards.
You can tap in with oraclecards.
So, as you're learning to trustyourself, you can use these
(39:54):
other things to help you.
They're, they're I want to kindof call them a crutch, but I
don't want you to take thatnegatively, because sometimes
you need a crutch to helpsupport you on your journey.
Yeah, and then when you nolonger need it, you can put it
down and then if you go througha period where you're like
(40:15):
self-doubt creeps in, you pickup the crutch again.
It's not a big deal.
I mean, I started withpendulums and I have like a
whole collection of pendulumsover here that you can't see,
like a whole collection ofpendulums over here that you
can't see, so there's there'slike intuition training wheels.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Yes, Intuition
training wheels.
So number two is there a?
Speaker 3 (40:40):
particular archangel
that you work with during your
sessions.
There's not any one particulararchangel.
In Mormonism there are angels, but there are not archangels,
and so at first that was astumbling block for me to
working with the angels.
Yeah, um, but what I've foundis that I like to just be open
(41:03):
and when I start a session, Iwill ask my spirit team to come
and help, and I will ask theclient for permission to use
their spirit team to come andhelp, and when I talk about a
spirit team, I'm talking aboutyour spirit guide, your guardian
angel, any angels that arethere to help, angels that are
(41:26):
there to help any deities, anyancestors, any ascended masters,
anybody who's on the other side, who's not in this current
realm with us, who wants to comehelp for your best and highest
good, to come to your sessions.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Very good.
So number three this is fromone of our listeners.
I'm currently dealing withCrohn's disease.
As someone who was able to puttheir Crohn's disease in
remission, what advice do youhave to share for those who are
currently facing challenges?
As we navigate through thisdisease?
Speaker 3 (42:04):
Okay so work with a
healer, work with a healer and
work with yourgastroenterologist and use your
intuition as you're working withyour gastroenterologist, and do
research for other things thatcan help you Like and there's
now medical research that'sstarting to come out that shows
(42:25):
that marijuana can help withCrohn's disease If you're
comfortable with it.
If your intuition says go thatroute, go that route.
But if your intuition is likeRemicade is going to cause me
problems Remicade is one of thebig heavy drugs that they give
infusions for Don't talk to yourdoctor and say you know what?
I'm not comfortable with this.
One of the medications mydoctor wanted to put me on had a
(42:49):
possible brain side effect andI was like hell no I'm not going
that route.
Yeah, um, another thing that youcan do is that you can do
affirmations, um, one of theones that I use still on a
regular basis is my body knowshow to heal itself, my body
(43:11):
works perfectly, my immunesystem is healthy.
And then I can do avisualization where I see these
little workers that are my cellsinside my body that are just
working and they're just helpingeverything run the right way
and they know exactly whatthey're supposed to do to make
everything just flow in my body.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
When you were saying
that I was giving getting a
little visual.
Do you remember that show,Fraggle Rock?
Yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Yes.
Yes, imagine the littleFraggles in your body doing
their little work the littleconstruction they look like in
my great little cartoon versionsof the fraggle rock, yeah, um.
And then diet.
So when you're really having amassive Crohn's flare, you do
(44:02):
need to avoid the high fiberfoods, but when you are feeling
better, I highly recommend thatyou get on a diet that does
include those high fiber foodsand you find ways that you can
digest them because they are sogood for your body.
And take supplements.
Use your intuition and figureout which supplements are going
to help you and which ones arejust going to be a waste of your
(44:24):
money, because there are somethat just you can't absorb them
because you're you're.
There's so much inflammation inyour digestive system that it's
not worth taking them.
But experiment with your food, experiment with your diet and
use that intuition, use it.
Is this going to help me orhurt me?
(44:45):
And get off processed foods.
Processed foods are so bad forus.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Yeah, all right, very
good advice.
Thank you for that.
That is our last question and,as we've been talking, is there
something that you may haveforgotten or something that you
want to share with the listeners?
You can take the time here.
The floor is yours.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
So nothing has come
to mind, but I'm going to tap
into spirit and see if there'sanything spirit wants me to
share with the audience.
So the first thing the spirittells me is that they love that
you're here, that you're justhere listening to this program,
(45:37):
that you're learning and thatyou are on your healing journey.
You're on your spiritualjourney.
Spirit is just so excited foryou that you're here and spirit
wants you to know, that youdon't have to do your healing
(46:05):
alone.
Oh, oh, okay, this one's alittle heavy.
It's heavy for me, I don't knowif it's going to be heavy for
everybody, but heal youremotional trauma so that you can
spend the money that you needto spend, so that you are doing
that compensation.
That's not the word I'm lookingfor.
Oh, do you know which word I'mlooking for?
(46:30):
Do you know which one I'mlooking for?
So that you're doing the law ofreciprocity, so that you are
giving to your healer an equalshare amount with your you know
financially share amount withher with your you know,
financially.
(46:50):
Um, I know that there are.
There are some healers out therewho are like I just give my
services away because it's aspiritual thing, and you, even
those ones, you need to begiving something to them in
return.
It doesn't have to be money.
It can be a thank you card, itcan be a big hug.
But when you're, when you'reworking with a healer, most of
us, this is our income, this isour livelihood and we need that
(47:12):
money and you need to be able togive us that so that we can
continue to work.
But also, as you are giving, that's part of your healing.
It's part of your healing to beable to say I trust you with my
money yes that you're going tobe able, that I can also trust
(47:33):
you with my healing.
Yes, yeah, and this one's hardfor me because I grew up being
taught that money is scarce andthat when we're donating our
money it's to the church, andthat we are, we do things
ourselves, we're self-sufficient, yeah, so one of my big
(47:57):
struggles is well, I can justheal myself.
But I have learned I I can't doit by myself.
Oh, yeah.
I have to hire healers and it'shard for me to shell out the
money to a healer.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
So I think that was
for me as well as for some of
you out there.
Yeah, there's some people thatthey have no problem buying, you
know, an expensive phone, or goget their nails done or go get
a massage, but when it comes tothings like Reiki and I do yoga,
and especially like the yogathey're always asking for free
classes and it just got to thepoint I've had to just say no, I
only I had to put somethinginto place that I will only do
(48:39):
this if it's for veterans, youknow, or domestic violence, or
cancer organization, because itwas a constant and it's like.
You know, I'm taking my time,my energy and giving an hour of
teaching.
This is all this work that Ipaid for trainings.
I have multiple certificationsand you know you want me to come
(49:00):
for free and then they don't.
You know, they either don'tcome back or you know so it's
like are you doing anyadvertisements?
And even like with Re, you know.
So it's like are you doing anyadvertisements?
And even like with Reiki too.
If someone's in a situation,it's kind of like, well, you
need to pay this for them, right?
I mean, there needs to be sometype of exchange.
If you're learning this, youneed to go out and you need to
(49:20):
bless someone else too who'sthrough things.
And I look at it either, youknow, if someone who's just
divorced and they're a singlemom and they need a skill, you
know, like to train them, toteach them how to do Reiki so
they can go out and create abusiness and also help heal
themselves as well, you know, and be of service.
So yeah, it's, it's.
(49:41):
It's so interesting with thisbecause we're kind of
conditioned to say but this is agift, share with the world.
And then we have organizationsthat ask for $10,000.
And then some like come online,it's for free, right?
Right so open with this.
Speaker 3 (49:58):
With that, you know,
you can find a Reiki
practitioner who's in yourbudget, because they range from
here to here in price right,Right, and I don't know if
you're familiar with theInternational Center of Reiki,
reikiorg.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
What it's done is
William Rand.
He is Holy Fire Corona and he'sbeen doing Reiki since goodness
in the 80s and he has it whereeveryone's the same price, no
matter what, no matter what yourlevel is, no matter what your
experience is, and he's humbledhimself because he easily could
(50:36):
get charged a lot, charge a lot,but he's having everyone on the
same level because he wants youto choose based on who
resonates with you versus I'mgoing to take him or her because
they're $50 cheaper, and sothat's what I like about Holy
Fire, corona, the ICRT, animalReiki they have everything.
(50:56):
It's the same.
You're level one, level two, you're master.
This is what it is.
Pick from all these teachersand you can be like a
professional member, you can bean affiliate, you can be a
licensed master teacher throughthere and we try to get the same
price for it out there.
Yeah, but they're out there, Imean they're out there.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
There are people who
will do it for really cheap.
Oh yeah, we're going to do itfor really expensive and you
know, in some things you getwhat you pay for.
Oh, for sure, yeah, and ifyou're paying almost nothing for
a Reiki practitioner, you mayget a crappy Reiki session or
you may get a really good one.
Yeah, it's not going to be thesame as, like you know, when
(51:41):
you're buying a car, you getwhat you pay for.
When you're buying a car, yeah, you get what you pay for.
When you're buying a car, yeah,so don't.
If money is a problem for you,go ahead and try Reiki on a
lower budget, but otherwise, don't judge your Reiki
practitioner by their price.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Yes, yeah, yeah,
judging through their experience
, it just gets to that pointwhere you know this is the time,
this is the education time I'veput in.
You know I internship for a lot, you know, and so there's
reasons for that.
And then you're looking at themarket as well, what is
comparable in your area and youhave, you know, you're putting
(52:19):
your time in and it, you know, you're going back and getting
more education and training andthings like that.
So, yeah, people forget that.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
The economy is
suffering right now.
Oh yes, and I totallyunderstand that food has gone up
so much and everybody isstruggling somewhat financially,
except for, like, the top.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Well, you also have
to put out there to.
You know, and many people willsay I want to do your training,
but money's tight right now.
And well, you know what?
Put it out there.
Somehow the money shows up,trust, the universe is going to
take care of that manifestationskill.
And also I offer like a paymentplan you can pay as you learn.
So let's get a deposit down andlet's make a payment.
(53:06):
Don't let money be a block foryou not to continue that so
that's an option as well forpeople.
So there's, there's ways aroundit.
You can always ask the teacherif they have a payment plan or
you know something like that.
But yeah, don't ask for adiscount.
Yeah, they always like is thishow you know?
And I listened to somebody waskind of interesting because they
always like is this how youknow?
And I listened to somebody waskind of interesting because they
(53:27):
always ask can you go any lower?
And I heard someone on a showthe other day and he said you
know, when they say that to me,I just respond well, I can
charge more, and then they'reokay with your price, do you
know?
Like, so, all right, well, thank you.
So, jess, for joining me onthis journey.
(53:47):
I really appreciate you takingtime out of your very busy
schedule.
So thank you so much.
