Now, today, as we begin ourjourney, a wonderful individual
is going to be on this journeywith me Luis Cruz, now amazing
owner of Life Balance HealingReiki master and teacher,
psychic evidential medium, meditation teacher and a
(01:56):
registered licensed dietitian.
Now, she has always beenspiritual.
Even as a child, she wasconnected to healing energy,
angels, saints and one of myfavorite Marys, mother Mary.
She began studying Reiki in2015 and finished her master's
level in the Azui Reiki in 2017and her master level on Corona
Holy Fire in January of 2022.
(02:19):
Now she has mentored underexperienced Reiki masters and
wonderful teachers here, and shebegan training as an evidential
medium in 2021.
So let's find out about allthese wonderful experiences that
she has here and we'll startour journey together here as we
bring Louise on.
So here she is.
(02:40):
Welcome, louise, to Ready SetReiki.
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Tracy, I'm so excited
to be here with you today.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Wonderful and you
have a wonderful biography, and
it goes on and on and on.
But let's hear it from yourvery own words, as your
experience.
So tell us a little bit aboutyourself.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Sure, well, I have
something in common with you.
I'm originally fromMassachusetts but I lived in
Texas for a while, but I wasmore central, I guess I was near
Dallas, so I was in that areaExcuse me and I'm in Ohio now
and this is where I'm settledand hope to stay.
As far as Reiki, you know, looking back, I really think
(03:20):
it's been with me my whole life.
As a young kid.
I can remember my grandmothersending me to sit with like the
sick relatives or the dyingrelatives and as a kid kind of
freaked me out.
It was like why do I have to godo this?
But you know, now, looking back, I'm like I think I had that
(03:40):
healing energy with me and Ijust didn't understand what it
was.
I started having experienceswith Mother Mary also when I was
young, so she's always been avery powerful part of my life,
which is very cool.
So I was very interested inmetaphysics when I was like a
(04:01):
teenager in my young 20, butthen I decided to go back to
school for nutrition.
So I went to the other side ofmy brain and kind of let all
that go and really I mean I'vehad a beautiful career with
nutrition.
It's, you know it's a healingart.
I get to help people with theirhealth and feel better.
So I've, I've loved it.
(04:22):
Get to help people with theirhealth and feel better, so I've,
I've loved it.
I still do it.
That's not going anywhere, um.
But in Texas I was in a job thatI loved, but it was so
stressful.
It was literally 24 seven and Ithought I'm really like I'm not
going to be okay if I keepdoing this.
And so I looked back into likethe metaphysical stuff that I
(04:43):
used to like, and I found Reikiand I was like, well, I kind of
know what it is, but let mecheck it out.
And there was a course that wasaffordable.
So I went, I did the level oneand I just fell in love with it.
There was, there was no goingback and it honestly yeah, it
really honestly changed my lifeand that's like no exaggeration.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Wow, wow.
So you became a registereddietitian in 2000.
You have this business LifeBalance Healing that you had
opened in Ohio since 2021.
And then here comes the Reiki.
So would you say that you foundReiki or Reiki found you.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
I would say we found
each other, or Reiki found you.
I would say we found each other.
I would say it literallypresented itself when I needed
it the most Because, yeah, atthat point I didn't have my
business yet at that point andit really just like I needed
something to help me relax andit, my stress level went down, I
(05:45):
was able to handle things.
Things that would like kind ofreally freak me out or kind of
ruffle my feathers Wouldn'tbother me as much.
I was sleeping better, I couldspeak to people better, I was
able to get out of a really badrelationship that I was kind of
stuck in.
So it really did shift me in adifferent direction.
(06:06):
And then I ended up in Ohio andthis is where I started the
business.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Wonderful, and that's
one of the amazing things about
Reiki is that it helps, empoweryou, right, that stress
modality that helps.
And then you're working withthat Corona, holy fire energy,
right, helping to shed thatculturally creative self, right,
beautiful, beautiful.
So, as you've been studying, asyou've been working with the
(06:33):
energy, cultivating thatrelationship, as you've gone
from a zoo to Corona, what areyou finding as a misconception
about your work, about workingwith Reiki?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
a misconception about
your work, about working with
Reiki.
I think a lot of people thinkthat it is not compatible with
religion.
So I do, you know, spend timetalking to people about that.
You know I work with MotherMary.
She's a religious figure too,so I don't.
They're not mutually exclusive, they all go blend beautifully
together.
You know the Reiki is thisdivine energy, so it's, it goes
(07:10):
with everything.
So I would say that's one thing.
I think the other is thatpeople feel like they need to be
, like I need to be spiritual,to go get that done, like I
can't do that kind of thing.
So I think that's anothermisconception about it, right?
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I had grown up in the
church and my mother is very
Bible based, so this wassomething that did not resonate
as the yoga.
I teach yoga as well, so shealways had very much an opinion
of this.
And people are often surprised, like I'll get a message in my
inbox and saying you know, I'mgoing to pray for you and I'm
(07:49):
like great, please do.
And they don't.
They can't wrap their headaround that you could have a
relationship with God, that youknow I bring in Mary Magdalene,
mother Mary as well, and thatyou can have something that is
christ-based, that allows youthat ability to choose if that's
what you want to do.
(08:10):
But there seems to be this someindividuals that keep that as a
separation, thinking thatthere's some kind of dogma or
religion attached to reiki, andthat's not what it is at all.
You know to get that kind ofunderstanding that, yes, there
we have that tradition, yes, wehave certain hand placements,
yes, it's fueled by intention, but it allows you that ability
(08:31):
to kind of customize it to yourjourney and your belief in your
practice with that.
So you have that, you're nottethered to it.
I have students that you knowthey pray to God or they pray to
a goddess, or they don'tbelieve it.
They just call it universe, they call it source, and that is
a wonderful freedom to havewhen you're working with
(08:52):
something like this, that youhave that choice to kind of make
it your own.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah, I agree, and I
think you know, like you
mentioned, like Jesus and MotherMary, like I don't think they
have to be exclusively owned bya church.
You know, I was raised Catholic, I don't practice anymore, but
yeah, so they don't have to.
Like you know, catholics don'thave to, or Christians don't
have to, own Jesus, likeeverybody can interact with
(09:17):
Jesus, you know, and and Christmeans the enlightened one.
So any of us can be workingtowards that enlightenment as
we're going through life, whichyou know everybody should be,
whether you do Reiki or not.
So, yeah, I agree with what yousaid, right, right.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
So your business is
life balance healing.
So you are a Reiki practitioner.
You also are a medium right, anevidential medium, so you're
finding people that are comingto you, you know, needing
questions, needing that evidence.
Maybe they've been goingthrough challenging times in
their journey, but what has beensomething that has been a
(09:55):
challenge for you in yourhealing journey?
Speaker 1 (09:59):
That's a good
question, so let me back up with
that just a little bit.
So with the Reiki, I think theReiki really opens you up, no
matter who you are.
If you're a Reiki practitioner,it just opens you up because
you're feeling that energy, andin that energy and in that
people will often find thattheir psychic abilities start to
(10:22):
wake up, and so that isdefinitely what happened with me
.
I always felt like I hadpsychic and mediumship abilities
, but not anything that I wasever going to do anything with,
but they really started toexpand.
So that's when I began trainingand now I use it as a modality.
So when I do Reiki, you knowyou do get some some psychic
(10:44):
hits and you get some emotion, you know from people, and so I
will ask them.
You know you do get somepsychic hits and you get some
emotion, you know from people, and so I will ask them.
You know, like, do you want totalk about this?
I don't combine the mediumshipwith it unless someone has
specifically asked, because youdon't want to hijack somebody
with hey, your grandmother wasjust here.
Like you don't want the two.
So I keep them separate.
(11:04):
So they can schedule amediumship or a psychic reading.
They can schedule Reiki.
If they want to schedule backto back, we can do that.
So for me, I think the mostdifficult healing part has been
it's been a journey.
You know, like you said, it's ajourney.
There's not a, there's nogoalpost to it.
It's not, it doesn't end, andyou know I'm very open about my
(11:27):
where I come from.
I came from a very abusivefamily, and you know Catholics
as Catholics, they didn't showthat.
You know.
They show this like good frontof.
We go to church every Sunday.
Dad's a deacon in the church.
She's a stay-at-home mom.
Dad's a deacon in the church,she's a stay-at-home mom, but
behind closed doors.
It was very violent and justreally not a great way to grow
(11:50):
up.
So that leaves you with a lotof baggage.
There's no way around it, right?
You're taking scars and stuffaway from that, so the Reiki
helped me heal through a lot ofthat, most of that.
What's really beautiful, though, is that Reiki does it in a
(12:14):
very gentle way, so it didn'tlike push me off a cliff where I
was having like flashbacks andmemories and couldn't handle it.
It was just very gently beingable to understand like that's
why I react that way, that's whyI feel that way about certain
things?
How can I turn this into love?
How can I be grateful for thisinstead and in that I do get a
lot of clients that come to mewho have backgrounds of trauma.
(12:38):
So I think, in being able toheal myself, it then helps me to
be able to help other people godown that healing path.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Right, right, I kind
of say that Reiki helped me
become lighter inside so that Icould be of the light.
Do you know, you attract thepeople that need that healing as
well.
And I read, you know, I alsoshared with growing up in the
church we were Episcopal, sothat's like one step away from
(13:09):
Catholic right that rigidness ofevery Sunday at church.
You had to go to Sunday school, then you had to go to the
service.
I was an acolyte and it wasreally kind of drilled into that
, and so Reiki is just a reallywonderful way to kind of help
shed that culturally createdself, to help gently, you know,
kind of, and we're notforgetting it but we're able to
(13:32):
kind of make a little bit ofpeace of it for ourselves.
And you may not necessarilystay in Reiki, but it's
something that helps you move ina direction to where maybe it
does open that psychic abilityup or clear things right.
It's that like, oh, I'm able tosee a little brighter now,
right, A little clearer.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, yeah, it really
does.
I like the way you put it, howit lightens you up so you can be
the light.
Yeah, that's a great way to putit.
I love that that.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I might steal that
from you so, um, and you can
tell you're, you're a medium,because I it popped into my head
and then you said it when I oneof the things, because I always
had that ability when I starteddoing reiki, my teacher would
tell me stop giving the psychicstuff because it's your ego.
(14:23):
And I'm like like, but thingsare coming up.
So I often kind of like, okay, try to keep it in.
And then someone asks like, didyou see anything?
And then they keep, you know, asking, asking, fine, and you
know I'm able to see likedifferent, you know time periods
, things like that as well.
But that's what I was going toask you like, do you blend it?
You know, and so you must haveread that in my mind, that
(14:46):
question.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
That is funny, and I
use the psychic part because,
like you know, psychic andmediumship work are not part of
Reiki, so it's something that webring in which can be very
beautiful.
But, you know, like I said, noteverybody wants that.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Right, Not everybody
needs it either.
And it's not true to you know, like I said, not everybody wants
that, Right, but I think thateither.
And it's not true to you know,a zooey, he was intuitive, you
know, but Dr Hikashi, he wasdiagnostic and Madam Takata
didn't do that either.
So you don't have to have thatmany people, and that can go
back to another misconception.
They think that you have tohave some type of gift with that
and you just don't.
It's the intention you want tohelp.
(15:24):
You feel the calling.
If you feel a calling to dothis, then by all means what?
Who am I to be?
A gatekeeper, right, you know,go for it.
And and you know we need a lotmore people out there to
sprinkle Reiki out there forsure.
This next question can goeither for the mediumship or the
Reiki, because there's so muchout there.
(15:47):
I know when I was younger and Iwas kind of dipping the toe
into, you know, readers andpsychics and mediums, that
there's such a variety out there.
How do you look for when youneed, like that, energetic tune
up or when you need to have areading done?
(16:08):
What are some qualities thatyou look for in a Reiki
practitioner or a medium?
Speaker 1 (16:15):
I think anybody in
this realm who's practicing, I
really look at where their egois, because you need to.
You know you can't be ego free.
We're human, our ego is part ofus, but you don't want to be
ego led.
So if I come across somebodythat is like I'm a Reiki master
(16:35):
and I have healed people of A, b, c and D, I stay clear away
Because, like I tell my students, we're not healers, we're
channelers for healing energy sothat the client can bring
themselves into that state ofhealing.
So I'm very wary of, like, anybody who's really, you know,
throwing ego out, even formediums.
(16:59):
I really am careful with thattoo.
I call myself, like you said atthe beginning, an evidential
medium because I will giveevidence.
So I'm not the person who'sgoing to say like oh, your
grandmother is here and sheloves you and she wants you to
know.
You know, blah, blah, blah.
I might say I have a woman here.
She feels like a grandmother, she's showing me a ring, blah,
(17:21):
blah, blah.
And then you'll be like oh, mygoodness, that's my grandmother,
you know, like, so there'll beevidence, there'll be
personality described.
So I look for that in peoplewho do readings like that
they're, they're pullinginformation to help you and
they're not trying, to like puton a show of how amazing they
are yeah, there's some of themout there, for sure yeah, and
(17:44):
it's you know it's a shame, butagain we're human.
So you know ego is part of whowe are.
So and looking at you know, forsomebody who's been doing it
for a while um, so they havesome kind of experience with
that and people who continuetheir training, I think that's
really, really important.
Typically, I don't call myselfa Reiki master.
(18:06):
I say I'm a practitioner andteacher, because if you ever
think that you've mastered this, then you're done Trying to find
a name you know and I came upwith energy coordinator.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
I was trying to find
a name you know and I came up
with energy coordinator.
That's what I meant.
Coordinator, because I thoughtyou know, because we're not a
master, you know, there's nothere.
So I thought what could I callmyself?
So I've been using energycoordinator as my.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
That's fun.
So see something like that, that's something good to look
for too in a practitioner Likewhat do they call themselves?
How do they word things?
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
And it's just a
constant learning too.
I mean, I enjoy doing thepodcast because everyone's a
teacher to me, coming on andconnecting, and you learn
something new every time Iconnect with someone and then I
can turn around and share it aswell.
So it's just been a beautiful,beautiful journey.
(19:06):
So have a business.
All the experience that you'vehad you've even got yourself.
You got a bachelor's degreeCongratulations on that and your
master's right.
You finished your master's.
I'm working on the master's, soI have.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah, I have a
bachelor's degree in food and
nutrition, which I've had for 25years, and yeah, so I just did
the bachelor's degree inmetaphysics and so now I'm
working on the master's and planto go all the way to the PhD
with that.
So that's really, that'sexciting, something different,
wonderful.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
So, with all this
knowledge, all this experience,
what advice would you givesomeone who is just starting out
in this profession?
They're listening to this andthey're like, yeah, this is,
this is what I want to do.
What pearls of wisdom do youhave?
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I think the biggest
thing is to be open-minded,
because sometimes some of thisstuff can really sound crazy,
you know, but at the same timeyou want to be a skeptic because
you don't want to believe.
It's hard to explain, right, but you don't want to believe
everything.
You want to be able to vet theinformation.
(20:12):
So, really being that skepticso you can go in and find the
truth for yourself, right, because what works for me may
not work for somebody else.
So, just being very open-mindedas you go into this and then
know that it's you know, I'mgoing to say it again what you
said it's a journey.
There's no end post, so it's acontinuous learning.
(20:33):
So, like I tell my studentsafter we've done the classes
that this is not the end, I havenot covered everything, I
haven't even come close.
I've opened the book for youand now you get to go and
continue this journey and keeplearning from other people and,
you know, find different thingsthat you can add to it, that you
(20:56):
like, or how different peopleexperience the energy and how
they work with the energy.
So really just being open tothat and knowing that it's
something that's going to keepgoing.
You're not going to take aclass and be like here.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
I am, and also to you
also, with being a journey.
You have the option of pausingand being still and stopping and
redirecting option of pausingand being still and stopping and
redirecting.
And you know, all of the monthI had this just expansion of
just things happening, and thenI had another month where it was
everything of letting go, andnow I have to pause again and
(21:30):
say, okay, what direction now doI want to go into and just take
a moment to step back.
I mean, you know, when you havethese seasons, especially of
abundance, you know, and itusually I don't know if it
happens for you, but when theabundance comes, it's like here,
here's everything at once, likewhoa, wait, face it now.
And then the body doesn't knowwhat the nervous system is.
(21:53):
Yeah, it's okay to stop andrethink things and reinvent
yourself and go in anotherdirection and um and, but just
keep on going.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
You know, if you stop
for a little bit, keep on going
, yeah, yeah, and like whatyou're saying, that with keep on
going.
The, the self-healing neverstops either it doesn't either.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
You've got to be
prepared for that.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
I like to say that
when you think you're like, hey,
I'm good, I dealt with all thisstuff, I've got this, the
universe is, oh, say that whenyou think you're like, hey, I'm
good, I dealt with all thisstuff, I've got this, the
universe is like oh, I'm gladyou think that Push.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
You're back again.
And the other thing too, whenyou had said about you know
you're keeping that open mindand things.
You know, there's suchsurprises with this, like when
things come through, this islike crazy.
Like I had something that camethrough and it wasn't a gargoyle
and the gargoyles eyes movedand I felt called to reach out
(22:49):
to this person and it was likethis is like you're going to
think I'm crazy, but there'sthis gargoyle and I described it
and then just get to get thevalidation.
She like oh yeah, I know whatyou're talking about.
It's a statue and it was justthis childlike amazement.
They're like you can't make thisstuff up, like to pop something
(23:09):
into your mind.
And then you, and moving to ElPaso, you know I didn't have the
Spanish background.
I had a few years in school, inhigh school, and then forgot it
all.
And then I'm here and so thingswill come in Spanish to me and
I don't know what some of themmean, and so I'll hear it and
then I'll say it and they'relike and it's just like it, just
how does it do?
Speaker 1 (23:30):
this it really is.
It's like we can touch thismagic that like I wish everybody
could see this and experiencethis and those moments really do
like solidify that, hey, something's happening here,
right?
so we're talking about likereligious stuff.
I was doing Frankie on a womanone day and I see Jesus standing
(23:52):
over her left shoulder and I'mthinking to myself holy cow,
I've completely lost.
Now I think I'm seeing Jesusright.
So I was just like you staythere and do your thing, and I'm
going to stay here and do mything and we're not going to
talk about this.
And when the session was done, the client said Louise, I have
to tell you the weirdest thing, but I swear that Jesus was
(24:14):
standing right at my leftshoulder and I was like, oh,
that's bizarre, Right.
Yeah it's just this stream of.
I mean, I know like it's notreally magic, but it feels like
a stream of magic that we juststep into and it's so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
And it's always with
this child, like wonder, like
wow, like wow.
And then I remember Kim Russo, who was the happy medium.
She always said if two or moreconfirm it, take it as the truth
.
And then when you have thatvalidation from somebody, it's
like, oh my goodness,Unbelievable, Unbelievable, yeah
.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
That's.
That's a good point, thatthere's never a session that at
the end I'm like you know, thatwas pretty good.
At the end of every session I'mlike, oh my goodness, did that?
Like that was amazing.
When they say stuff like youknow I'll be, we'll go back to
the shoulder you know, say I'mfeeling a lot of energy on that
shoulder, so that's where Ifocus a lot of the session.
(25:12):
They have their eyes closed, they don't know what's going on.
And then they'll say somethinglike know, oh, I felt all this
heat in my shoulder.
Or it'll go the other way.
I'll say I was really drawn tothis shoulder, you know, it
feels like there was an injury.
And they'll be like, oh mygoodness, I had surgery on that
like two weeks ago.
How did you know?
So yeah, just the way thesethings tie together is, I mean,
(25:34):
it's like miraculous sometimesright.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Then you have people
that'll say, oh, I wish I had
that too, but it gets a littlescary sometimes, doesn't it?
Like you just like, oh my, andit takes your breath away
sometimes and it's like well, becareful what you wish for,
because sometimes you get someinformation that you may not
want to know.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's very cool.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yeah, and that's also
why that Reiki comes in handy
as well.
Breathe just for today, right,I will not worry.
So what books do you recommend?
Speaker 1 (26:09):
So I love this
question because you know I'm
very big into like thatcontinuing education as a
dietitian.
It's something I've had to do,so it's really ingrained in me.
So I'm going to show you someof my favorite books, and they
might be backwards when you seethem, but at least you'll see
the covers, so they'll know.
So this one is called why WooWoo Works why Woo Woo Works.
(26:31):
And this is a fantastic bookbecause not only does it cover
like all the stuff, but he's gotlike all these like references
in the back, so he's actuallytalking about like scientific
studies.
So this is great, because then, when you have the people that
are like that's crazy, that'snot even real, you can be like,
well, actually it is.
There's a study by so-and-sothat says so.
(26:53):
I love that book.
Um, you always need a goodmanual on hand, so this is one
that I have, just a reiki manual.
Um, this one I used a lot whenI first started teaching.
It's really easy to follow, sothat's a good one.
Um, I'll show you a couple onmy ipad, because I use that a
lot too.
So, anything written by FranzSteiner I think that's how you
(27:17):
say his name he is fantastic.
He's very well researched.
So this one, the Way of Reiki,is great.
And then the other one is theReiki Sourcebook.
See that?
Yeah, kind of One more I'mgoing to show you because
typically, when people are intothis stuff, they like crystals,
right, yeah, so this is a newbook that was literally just
(27:40):
came out, wow, and it is um,welcome to the world of medic
physical crystals, and it's byvictoria berry, and this book is
like intense, like it goesthrough just every crystal you
can think of and all thisinformation, and I got it on
Amazon, it's not expensive atall, so I definitely recommend
(28:01):
adding this to your library.
So those are some of myfavorites.
I have probably 300 books in myKindle and I'm real famous for
like oh, I need to read that one, I need to read that one, and
then I'm like reading like threebooks at the same time.
So I need to learn to like readone, read the next one.
But yeah, I think that's reallyimportant is getting in there
(28:25):
and just reading stuff.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
All right, beautiful.
So what modalities do you offer?
What are you offering at LifeBalance Healing?
Speaker 1 (28:33):
So obviously I do the
Reiki.
I'm a Reiki practitioner.
I also teach, so I do have somein-person classes coming up, so
I teach a level one, two andthree.
I will be starting doing someof that online.
I am going to be teaching a newclass which I'm really excited
about Buddhism, so reallylooking at the Japanese kind of
(28:55):
heritage of it, so that'll beexciting, so that'll be good.
I've started doing meditationclasses so that's been really
fun doing that and of course Ido mediumship and psychic
readings.
So a lot of these classes aregoing to be coming online.
So I would say in the next, youknow, couple of months that
people can really watch for that.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
All right, and that
leads great into our next
question when can, where can wefind you, to get in touch with
you?
Speaker 1 (29:23):
So I I have made it
real easy it.
My website is louisecruzcom.
You can email me, excuse me, atinfo at lou LouiseCruzcom, and
I would say, if you'reinterested in, like, what's
going on, shoot me an email andthen I'll put you on my email
list.
So you'll get things as they'recoming up or you can keep
(29:46):
checking the website, but Ithink the email list is a fun
way to do it.
So the website and my email.
Also, you can find me onFacebook under Louise Cruz or
under Life Balance Healing.
I'm on Instagram, but I don'tdo as much on Instagram.
I probably need to, but I'mmore on Facebook.
Right now it's hard to doeverything right, it's hard to
(30:07):
do everything.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
I can't keep up with
the TikTok.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah me either.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
I was teaching for a
while there, many classes, and
it was just hard to get on thereand go live.
You also have a blog, right?
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Yes, I do have my
blog where I write about my
experiences with Mother Mary.
I also have a Facebook page forthat too, and it's called
Mother Mary's Messages, and thatis.
It took a lot for me to putthat out there, because you know
, these experiences I've beenhaving with her since I was a
young kid and she continues tocome to me in meditation with
(30:43):
just beautiful messages, and Igot to a point where I was like
I can't keep these to myself.
These messages are obviouslyfor everyone, and if people
think I'm crazy, they probablyalready think I'm crazy.
So we'll put it out there andsee what happens, and I've
gotten great, great response toit.
So, yeah, that's very exciting, and you can find my blog is on
(31:05):
my Web page also.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Perfect.
So that ends the first part ofour journey and I'm going to
continue to guide you into thesecond part, which are questions
from listeners and Reikistudents.
So number one and this isperfect because it's back to
Mother Mary again.
So, in working with Mother Mary, what appears to be her
consistent message that youoften hear from her?
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Her consistent
message is love, like it's just
over and over and over and overagain, is love.
And you know, know.
She sees what's happening inthe world.
She sees all the anger and thehatred and the strife and the
separation and she talks a lotabout, you know, not just
(31:47):
understanding love, butembodying love, and not just for
the people who you agree with, you know, but for everybody.
And really understanding thatthat's the only way we're going
to change things is that if wecan really figure out that we
are all connected and spreadlove through that connection,
then we can change things.
But you can't, you know, bang itover somebody's head, because
(32:11):
then you're not in a space oflove, right?
So've got to, um, not lose yourcool when somebody does
something that you don't like orwhen you hear something on the
news that, like, makes you crazy.
You've got to learn to be ableto, like, transmute that energy
and still send love to thesituation.
So it sounds easy, but it's,it's not, it's tricky, but
(32:34):
that's yeah, yeah, and I wouldsay that's the biggest thing
that she talks about is love, and it's really beautiful.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Beautiful.
So, number two, which system ofReiki do you find yourself
using?
More Usui Reiki or Corona HolyFire Reiki?
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I would say that I
use Usui Reiki more.
I like the simplicity of it,Maybe that's the way to put it.
My Reiki sessions are veryquiet, they're very simple but
they're very powerful, Like thethings you know, I see and the
changes I see in people.
The emotional healing andspiritual healing and physical
(33:14):
healing too.
I mean it's, it's amazing.
So that's the one I use themost because I also think it's
the easiest one for me to keepmyself out of, If that makes
sense, Right, Keep that ego outand just let that energy just
come through.
The Usui and I'm sorry, Karunaand Holy Fire Reiki was very
(33:36):
healing for me.
I was able to move through alot of like religious trauma
when I did those trainings, so Ireally feel like for me that's
what that was for more for me toheal rather than me to use, if
that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Well, it does, it
does.
Yeah, zoe, is the simplicity ofyou know, he had people sit on
a rock right and just let theenergy flow.
You didn't need all thosethings.
And and not to say that soundbowls and tuning forks and
chimes aren't wonderful, but itis that simplicity of just
putting the ego aside andletting the energy flow, yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Yeah, and I think
that's what makes it so
beautiful, right.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
And you know, of
course we have.
I kind of look at it as aCorona holy fire is the, the
flavor in the coffee, right thatadds, just depending on the
energy.
I tend to be more of a fireenergy, so for me, I agree, it
helped with that trauma, thingslike that, that deepness and
(34:43):
then, um, you know, doing likeanimal reiki and then kid reiki.
Kid reiki, uh, help with, likethat, inner child issues as well
.
So it each had a piece to mypuzzle to put together and so
it's a nice little variety inyour energetic toolbox for that
particular client that may needit.
But I often get that people askthat question because when I
(35:06):
first began my journey I justthought that was it, it was one
type.
And then it's like you realize, whoa, there's lots of different
flavors out here and so manytypes and styles and systems,
and it's not saying that one isnecessarily better than the
other.
But it's nice that you're ableto kind of gauge.
This energy feels a littledifferent from that and I tell
(35:27):
people, start with a zooey, start there and then go out, get
a little sample.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
that may not be for
you, it might be amazing, right,
I mean that's part of thatcontinuing education right Going
out there and seeing what'swhat's what.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
There's a lot out
there.
There is a new, new stuff everyday, and it's the same thing
with yoga too.
Like I had a laugh a little bitcause I was someone you know
it's so fascinating.
Someone was having like emo bitbecause I was someone you know
it's so fascinating.
Someone was having like emo yogaand I was like, excuse me, I
might want to try that Someonehere in El Paso and I'm trying
(36:06):
to take the class, but everytime she has it and it's like
Tesla light yoga and I'm likewhat is that?
Like, I just so.
There's a lot of wonderfulthings out there, which is great
because it's getting peoplemoving, it's getting people
excited, yeah, and it's gettingpeople towards healing.
So, number threecongratulations on that degree.
How has obtaining yourbachelor's degree in
(36:28):
metaphysical science helped yourpractice and your business?
Speaker 1 (36:33):
That's a great
question really.
I think what's been reallyinteresting about getting that
degree is that it's a broaderlike viewpoint of metaphysical
information, so it's not focusedon Reiki, you know.
So that's been very interestingis really looking at things
(36:54):
differently, like how youprocess things, how you respond
to things.
A lot about very similar whatMary, Mother Mary, talks about,
about bringing in that love and,you know, feeling it from a
deeper level.
So I would say, spiritually,it's really opened me up a lot
more, which is awesome becauseit gives me that opportunity to
(37:17):
talk to my clients in adifferent way and I'm more like,
I'm more comfortable and moreconfident way.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Beautiful, beautiful,
and it goes back to the Reiki
helping you build thatconfidence, right.
Yeah, the courage, I love it.
I love it.
Well, that was our lastquestion and, as we were talking
, is there anything that youmight have forgotten to mention
or a message that you would liketo tell the listeners?
The floor is yours.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
You mentioned them a
little bit.
So there's five Reiki preceptsand as a Reiki practitioner like
we, it's kind of part of itthat we really try to to live by
those and pay attention tothose.
I have them on my business cardso that my clients can see them
(38:14):
and try to teach them how tolive by them.
So the first one is I will notanger.
Second one is I will not worry.
Now doesn't mean that you'renot ever going to be angry or
that you're never going to worry.
And the beautiful thing aboutthe precepts is that actually
says just for today, I will notanger.
Just for today, I will notworry.
There's plenty of things toworry about.
And there's plenty of things toworry about and there's plenty
(38:35):
of things to be angry about.
And not saying that you can'tdo that, because sometimes it's
justified and it's right, butjust really, you know, paying
attention like am I flying offthe handle because somebody just
cut me off at a red light?
That's kind of crazy.
I don't need to do that andthere's a lot to worry about.
But I tell people, worry is aprayer for chaos.
(38:56):
So yeah, something bad couldhappen, but something great
could happen too.
The next one is and I save onefor last.
So the next one I'm going tosay is I will be kind to every
living thing, which includesyourself.
So that's really something toponder, because we can be really
horrible to ourselves.
(39:17):
You know, we're kinder to otherpeople than we are to ourselves
.
I will do my work honestly, which for me is a lot of like
what we talked about keepingthat ego out of there, keeping
this work pure.
And then the last one, which ismy favorite, and then the last
one which is my favorite is, um,being in gratitude.
(39:38):
Just for today I will be ingratitude and I save it for last
, because if you can do that bein that gratitude then
everything else is going to flipright.
The example I give my clients isthe grocery store.
So you go to the grocery storeand the person rings up the
cashier, rings up your stuff, and then they kind of lean back
and wait for you to bag your owngroceries.
(39:58):
So it would be easy to like flyoff the handle.
But if you take a breath andsay, you know what?
I have a car that got me to thegrocery store, I'm able to walk
through the store, I have moneyto purchase what I need.
Like there's so much to begrateful for in that moment.
And, you don't know, maybe she'sworked a 12 hour day and she's
(40:19):
exhausted, and how grateful am Ithat I can give her a moment of
reprieve.
So, living in that gratitude, you know, even if it's something
as simple as it rained todayand my shoes didn't get wet, as
it rained today and my shoesdidn't get wet Boy, am I
grateful for that right.
(40:39):
Something that can change yourlife and I think that's a big
part of how Reiki changed thingsfor me so being really able to
change that thought process.
So, yeah, I think that's a biglesson for people is really just
learn to live in gratitude, spread that love and know that,
wherever you come from, healingis possible.
I think that I am definitelyproof of that Beautiful.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Well, thank you for
sharing.
That I also find, too, is alovely reminder, is if we get to
the end of our day and we dothose precepts and maybe you
missed all of them, and we dothose precepts and maybe you
missed all of them.
There's a wonderful Japanesetechnique called Kaizen, where
it's slow progress, you know, but you're making movement.
And how can you be one morepercent better tomorrow, with
(41:26):
that idea that you know what?
Yeah, I blew it today.
I worried most of the day, Ilost my temper, but you know
what, guess what, tomorrow's anew day, just for today.
And how can I be one morepercent better?
Speaker 1 (41:39):
I love that.
Yeah, and you have to be honestwith yourself.
The way the world has been, there are some days that I'm
like, no, I'm going to worry,I'm probably going to get angry.
All I can give you today isthat I'm going to do my work
honestly.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
So we're just going
to do that today, and then
you're great of gratitude thatyou have a whole new day to
start over again and to give itan extra five.
There we go, beautiful Well.
Thank you for taking time outof your very busy schedule to
