(01:01):
I'm coming to you live today inthis episode from my new abode
here in El Paso, texas.
So we recently moved and so I'min a new space.
But today we are meetingtogether to have a beautiful
journey with a lovely guest, jionti Woods.
Now she is an internationallyknown intuitive healer,
inspirational teacher, who usesboth ancient progressive
(01:24):
techniques to assist and empowerothers in their healing journey
.
Now she is a Reiki master andteacher who loves to initiate
others and mentor them todevelop their own skills as
healers.
As a conscious human being, thename Jyanti was gifted to her
by an Indian spiritual master inthe early 90s and he told her
this translates into the goddessof flame.
(01:46):
It's Shianti's passion toinspire and guide others to
ignite the soul flame fromwithin themselves and create the
life they desire.
Her background is in consciousbreath work and rebirthing,
shamanism, quantum dynamics, reiki master, teacher, theta
healing, yoga and meditationteacher and other spiritual
purification practices.
(02:07):
Now, for over 30 years she hasled regular meditations and
chant groups on the golden coastor gold coast.
This has basically expanded toinclude shamanic gatherings,
individual healing sessions andspiritual counseling and
teaching others Reiki healing.
Now, in 1994, she saw offeringsas the first of many tours to
(02:29):
India and other spiritual landsand now, operating as Jyanti's
sacred tours, jyanti leadsregular tours to India and
retreats in Bali and other highenergy places.
So let's take a moment towelcome Jyay to Ready Set Reiki.
So welcome Welcome to Ready SetReiki.
And thank you, tracy, lovely tobe here, wonderful.
(02:52):
So let's begin our journeytogether.
I told our listeners a littlebit about you, but we would love
to hear in your very own ownwords Tell us about yourself.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Well, I grew up here
on the Gold Coast and lived.
The Gold Coast, by the way, ifno one knows, is one of the top
tourist attractions of Australiaand we have a coastline of
beautiful beaches and you knowsurfing beaches very big surfing
(03:23):
here and it's grown enormouslyin the time I've been here.
I went from here and lived inMelbourne, lived in Sydney and
Darwin and then I went overseasand lived in the Middle East for
eight years, then came back toAustralia years then came back
(03:51):
to Australia and that was thetime when I knew that was what
35, longer than that, 40 yearsago say, and I knew that.
You know, my soul was tellingme I had to come back home to
start working on everything thatI hadn't worked on myself.
Yeah, and so here I am.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Yes, so your
background, you know breathwork,
rebirthing, shamanism, quantumdynamics, but our journey is
talking about the Reiki.
So when did Reiki come intoyour life?
Did Reiki find you or did youfind Reiki?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
A little bit of both
really.
It was on one of my India tours, I think it was 1995.
And in the group that I hadthere were eight Reiki
practitioners, and of thoseeight practitioners there were
(04:45):
one Reiki master who was a verygood friend of mine, and I saw
her come through in absolutepeace and calm the entire time
we were there and it can getvery intense in ashrams when
you're going through a lot ofspiritual purification.
(05:06):
And so I asked her after thegroup finished, we were going
off to do our own spiritual tourand I asked her what were you
doing to keep yourself socentered and so calm and
peaceful?
And she said I'd go to the roomevery afternoon and give myself
a Reiki session.
(05:27):
And that was it, because I justsaid okay, because I don't have
.
I was doing spiritual healingbefore that, but I didn't have
my own calming, my own abilityto put my hands on.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
So when we came back
I did Reiki one and Reiki two
with her well, the landscape ofReiki certainly has changed
since you were first introducedto it into the 90s right oh yes
it is so much mainstream.
Now, like my children know aboutit from TikTok, they're able to
(06:04):
say, oh yeah, this person andthat.
And they're able to say, ohyeah, this person and that, and
they're able to name all thesepeople.
So for them there's no stigmato it.
It's like just another thing toscroll on by with.
So, as you've been on thisjourney for how many years, what
are some of the misconceptionsyou find that people think about
Reiki?
Speaker 4 (06:23):
you find that people
think about Reiki.
Well, to be honest with you, inmy world that I create, I don't
hear of any misconceptions, tobe perfectly honest, because
(06:46):
most people in Australia are soused to Reiki now you know that,
you know it's gone, but yearsago I guess people used to think
it was a bit of a cult.
So that was you know.
That in itself was verychallenging, thinking that you
know this was a cult, and sopeople would go, oh, can't do
this, you know, and.
But these days it's more andmore, you know people are really
(07:08):
open to it.
So I don't know about americafair enough, fair enough.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
So all of your
background, the breath work,
rebirthing, shamanism, quantumdynamics, your Reiki master
teacher, theta healing yoga, meditation and these other
wonderful beautiful spiritualpurification practices.
You're out being of service toso many people, but what has you
found in your own journey, thebiggest challenge for you?
Speaker 4 (07:40):
ah, the biggest
challenge for me was getting out
of my head and being able tocome to the heart, live it in
the heart, and that wasdefinitely my biggest challenge.
Once I could do that, then thenext biggest challenge was
working on the core belief thatwas holding me back.
Yeah, I walked into my firsttraining in 1990.
(08:06):
It was a rebirthingpractitioner training and I was
the only one there out of 90people.
We had American teachers and Iwas the only one out of 90
people who stood up and said I'mdoing it for myself.
Everyone else said, oh, I wantto heal, I to heal, you know.
I want to be a practitioner.
I was going what you're allbabies?
(08:28):
But I said, no, I I wanted todo the healing for myself, you
know.
But I guess that that in itselfwas one of the biggest lessons,
was that I thought I was goingto walk into that training,
finish it two weeks later and becompletely clear of all my
(08:51):
stuff, all the trauma, all thewounds, you know, all the
wounding, and it doesn't happenlike that.
And it took me some time toactually discover that it
doesn't happen like that.
You know it's incrementally, aswe move ourselves, as we, you
know, elevate our consciousnessand you know there's still
(09:14):
another layer there to come up,sure Yep.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
People don't realize,
like when you begin this
journey it is cumulative.
You may not see it right awayand I've been on this journey
for a few years now and you knowyou have to get out of your
mind, like you had mentioned, you know, to just trust the
process with it.
But you'll have a moment whereyou find yourself that it does
(09:40):
work.
And I was talking to my friendabout this yesterday.
We had moved into a new homeand I went to warm something up
in the stove in the new houseI'm at and all of a sudden I
smell something and the previousowner had left plastic in the
stove and there was a fire.
And you know, I handled it and,you know, took care of it.
(10:03):
And my friend's like, how didyou remain so calm?
And then I'm like, hmm, probably because you have a
consistent practice.
Now, if I would have been ableto do that 10 years ago, I
probably would have been like,ah right, but it was just like,
oh, a fire.
Here we go and my husband comesto work and he's like do you
(10:24):
need the fire extinguisher?
No, I got it there was no panic, there was no urgency, it was
just like it is handled.
And that comes from thatconsistent you know doing your
Reiki principles.
That consistent, you know doingyour Reiki principles.
(10:48):
When things come up, as theemotions come up, lay those
hands on you and and breathe.
And when I took my very firstReiki training, when I stepped
forward, it was to bring, youknow, healing to my family.
We had had loss.
And healing to my family, wehad had loss.
And uh, and I never, have everexpected the journey that I laid
(11:08):
ahead of me.
But I originally came justbecause I was trying to help my
dad, help my children throughgrief.
So you never know.
But I was surrounded byindividuals that, like, I'm
going to teach, I'm going to dothis, so it's just just oh yeah,
it's just interesting that thegroup of people that that come
together when you begin yourjourney.
(11:29):
So, as you're out in this field,as you are teaching and you're
mentoring others, what are somequalities that you look for in a
Reiki practitioner?
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Confidence would be
probably one of the first things
, and their own self-awarenessor their own self-worth around
themselves as a practitionerwould be you know some of the
highest aspects.
I would prefer to be seeing apractitioner who's Reiki master,
(12:05):
but at least level two.
At least level two, justbecause that denotes normally
that they have had a lot ofpractice themselves with their
own self-healing.
Because I do notice a lot ofpeople do a level one and go out
there and want to be apractitioner straight away
(12:27):
without any you know experience, sure, um yeah, and they forget
that you know to go and have, you know friends come and family
come and that to give, to givepractice sessions, to build
their own energy and to buildtheir experience of working with
(12:49):
someone Right.
So self-confidence, longer timeand, I think, a level of
integrity and you can normallyfeel that with someone whether
(13:09):
we can get fooled sometimes, butnormally self-integrity is
really important so what areyour thoughts?
Speaker 3 (13:17):
you had said longer
time.
There are some lineages outthere that you can get your
master's fairly quickly, andwhat I mean by that is like
within five days or within sixmonths or within a year.
Do you see that as an issue ordo you take it kind of as an
(13:40):
individual, case by case, likesomeone like me think that fire
energy.
My teachers always had thistype of guideline, like you need
to do this for six months or dothis for a year.
And when I came into thepicture, they had to reevaluate
things and they felt like, well, maybe your energy is ready for
(14:02):
this.
So how do you look at that, asyou have a student in front of
you and you know well, you needto have this for six months, but
you clearly see that thisstudent may be ready at least
(14:23):
six weeks between level one andlevel two and then a minimum of
six months to do master, butmaybe longer.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
And I have found that
most of my students who have
done the Reiki master with me,they've waited at least a year,
if not more so some up to twoyears or three years if it's
anything like me.
I did my reiki level one, leveltwo, in 1995 and then I didn't
do my reiki mastery until 2003,I think it was, and that's when
(15:01):
spirit was giving me the call.
You know a world, a few yearsbefore that, they started saying
it's time you have to become amaster, you know.
And I looked around for themaster who I wanted to do a
training with, and it took metwo and a half years to find the
right master.
And when I found her it waslike, oh my God.
(15:23):
I was sitting in a yoga teachertraining and I was just looking
around this group and they wereall much younger than me and I
was thinking, oh my goodness, look at them all.
They're all learning what I'vebeen doing for years and years
of chanting and meditation andall of this.
And here they are, they're justlearning it and they're
(15:46):
gobbling it up.
And Spirit said she's a Reikimaster and it was my yoga
teacher.
And I went oh.
And so I went straight to herwhen we had a break and I said
will you make me a Reiki master,Will you be my master?
And she said oh, yes, I think Imight have been one of her
(16:12):
first students, but I knew thatshe was the right energy for me.
And yeah, so I think it depends.
You know, it really does dependon the person.
I've had someone pull outbecause they knew they just
weren't ready for it.
I've had others who have donethe Reiki mastery and then just
(16:38):
used the energy of it to go onand do other things in their
life.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Beautiful energy of
it to go on and do other things
in their life beautiful, and Ilike how they mentioned that it
was the connection of the energy.
It wasn't anything about priceright, it was the energy
beautiful.
It's definitely the energy sowhat advice do you have for
someone who's just enteringspiritual work?
Speaker 4 (17:06):
ah um practice,
grounding your energy, grounding
yourself um and connect andsoul connection.
That would be number one majormajor thing for me is just focus
on meditations that will takeyou into connecting with your
(17:27):
soul and connecting into yourheart so you can start living
from your heart centre.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
What books do you
recommend?
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Oh, okay, I recommend
there's one by an Australian
author called the SecretLanguage of your Body and that's
by Ina Segal Brilliant book, for if you're working more with
Reiki on the physical, that'sbrilliant.
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolleand the Power Versus Force by Dr
(18:05):
David Hawkins, which is prettyheavy duty by Dr David Hawkins,
which is pretty heavy duty, andI also think the Life that you
Were Born to Live by Dan Millman, is another really fabulous one
.
To get to know yourself a lotmore.
That one, the language, thesecret language of your body,
(18:26):
helps enormously when you you orsomeone has family or or
clients have problems going onon the physical level and it'll
help you sort of pull, you know, give the client information
about where it's coming from, why it's there, you know what,
(18:46):
what emotional energy can theywork with.
And a new earth too is becauseso many people these days still
do not know about that.
It's emotions and wounding fromchildhood and all that.
So I think the new earth reallydoes help help in that regard
(19:09):
thank you for sharing that.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
So what other
services do you offer?
Do you offer any classes, events, trainings?
Speaker 4 (19:19):
I just did a Reiki.
It just held a Reiki one onSunday actually.
So, yes, I offer reiki one, reiki two and reiki mastery.
Um, I also do, um, what's knownas the munaki rites, the nine
um munaki rites, sacred munakirites, and and they're from the
(19:43):
andes, from the andean elders, and they're just absolutely
amazing rites to experience andyou can become a teacher of them
as well.
However, you know, just to dothe workshop and all the
different rites that comethrough change so much for
(20:08):
people.
It really is life-changing.
I still do occasionally theshamanic journey work.
I hold full moon meditationsthese days and do some Divine
Mother or Divine Feminineworkshops as well and womb
(20:31):
healing workshop.
And in my practice I do a lotof spiritual mentoring and
spiritual counselling and usingthe QD as well, breath work,
which is a very powerfultechnique to release old
energies, because people justreally don't realise how much
(20:51):
energy they stuff into the body, and so it's really powerful to
be able to get that and shift itout for people.
And then I work with them onthe table doing chakra balancing
and energy clearing and thenhands on, using reiki energy.
(21:11):
So my, my sessions are a bigcombination really and they they
seem to be the most in demand, particularly these days you
offer online and in person yes, yes, definitely online as well
so where can we find you ifsomeone's listening to this and
(21:34):
like, yeah, this is my person?
yay um wwwjayanti j-a-y-a-n-t-ij-a-y dot com, or they can find
me on facebook and instagram aswell, perfect, perfect.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
So you are on social
media as well.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Yes, not not a huge
um, but I'm on there beautiful,
beautiful.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
So that ends the
first part of our journey and
I'm going to continue as yourguide to the next part, which is
questions from social media andfrom Reiki students.
So here we go.
Number one how do you ignitethe soul flame from within and
create the life you desire?
Speaker 4 (22:21):
Meditation and also
clearing your energy.
It's a constant journey thesedays because there's so much
different energy around um,particularly the state that our
world is going through at thistime the maha sankranti, the
time of the great upheaval andeveryone, everyone around the
(22:43):
planet, is feeling that.
So a lot of cleansing, definitely a lot of cleansing,
if definitely a lot of cleansing.
If you are a Reiki channel, lots of Reiki, self-healing and
the meditation to really comeinto your heart that's so
important is the soul connectioncoming through, coming through
(23:04):
into the heart space.
And the more that you can dothat, the more you're connecting
into the higher energy, thenthe more your heart soul flame
is going to start igniting, because we are here to soul
embody Really, that's the bottomline of why we're here in a
body is to soul embody.
(23:28):
And, yeah, to do that we mustembody and you know meditation
is the pathway to that.
And then in your day, all thetime, come to your heart, come
to your heart.
You know We've been taught, wehave it all around us.
(23:50):
We've got to live hectic lives.
Even if you try and live aquiet life, it's a hectic life,
um, and more often than notwe're traveling all around here,
all around our head space andit's like no, no, no, no, no in
your no, no In your body, inyour body.
You can't ignite the soul flamewhen you're living outside of
your body or in your head space.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Right, right, I like
how you said it's the great
upheaval, because this has beenmy whole life for months now and
I was even mentioning to myfriend yesterday.
It's like man spirit must havesomething big for me, because
it's been one big thing A lot oflike goodbyes, a lot of closure
(24:32):
, a lot of letting go, likeletting go of big things.
So, yeah, so it's been thisupheaval and big change for sure
, my goodness, I tell you what Imean the Reiki prayer, taking
that time, resetting, journaling, doing.
Do what you need to do, right, yes, right, resetting,
journaling, doing, do what youneed to do, right, yes, right,
um, and I mean it's just so, soimportant with that self-care
number two.
Now, all the other amazingthings that you do.
(24:54):
You also have a meditation andchant group.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Tell us a little bit
about those um, when I first
went to india in, I came awayfrom there just absolutely
loving the chanting and it wasjust amazing.
And a friend was churning withme and we came back to the Gold
(25:17):
Coast after traveling around fora few months.
And we came back to the GoldCoast and it was like let's
start a chant crew.
So we just put the banner outand started and initially we
were just all chanting torecorded chants because none of
(25:37):
us really knew them that well,so we had to start learning.
At one point, about 94 or 95,we were having, you know, groups
up to 30 and 40 people everyweek.
It was just amazing.
I loved it, yeah.
But journeying along from therenow where I live, there's events
(26:02):
, there's so much going on allthe time.
So I decided to.
In 94, I started leadingmeditation groups and, yeah,
again, I hadn't done anythinglike that beforehand but I had
(26:26):
been meditating for four yearsand so a friend and I said, okay
, let's start up a meditationgroup.
So we did, and then to today, Irun a full moon meditation.
So once a month, full moonmeditation, because I find that
the energies are just soimportant then and we only do a
(26:49):
couple of chants now instead ofa whole chant session, and then
I lead a guided meditation, andin the guided meditation it's
always soul alignment, and thenwherever the guides lead us, you
(27:11):
know wherever the um guideslead us, um, and a lot of time
it is to go right out to thegrid around the earth to do
planetary healing, um, but youknow the healing for the self
first.
You know the soul alignment ofchakra work first, and then
either out or somewhere veryspecial.
You know, like last month, themonth before it was the Weesak,
(27:31):
the full moon of the Weesak, theBuddha's birthday celebration,
and so we sort of journeyed offinto Tibet and then came back
again.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
It was just wonderful
, yeah so our next question I
always feel like with you, butwait, there's more right.
Next question is you operateYanti sacred tours.
Can you tell me about your tourin India and retreats in Bali
and other high-energy places?
Speaker 4 (28:09):
All right.
So they've slowed down just alittle bit over the COVID time,
of course, and they will comeback again next year.
I've chosen to get much morefit and healthy before doing the
next one, because India's growna lot since my previous one.
(28:32):
I started after coming backfrom India in 1992.
I was thinking, oh, and I wentback again and then I came back
and then it was like how can Ikeep doing this, how can I keep
doing this?
And I got the soul messagegoing take groups.
And it was like really what?
(28:55):
And remember I had livedoverseas for a number of years,
so I was quite used to travelingand organizing travel and that.
So I went.
Well, that's a good idea.
I know quite a few people whowould love to go to Babaji's
ashram and experience that.
So that's how I started out.
(29:15):
These days, sometimes we don'tgo to Babaji's ashram.
It'll be, you know, to visitTaj Mahal.
You always have to go to TajMahal, it's such a beautiful
place, um, and to Jaipur, because it's like one of the
most creative centers in India.
And then we, um, we'll go up toRishikesh, which is one of the
(29:39):
main yoga places on planet, andthen up to Dharamsala, which is
Little Tibet in India and thatis just stepping at a time.
Going there is just amazingbecause India is so chaotic.
There's so much going on allthe time, so many people
everywhere, and you go up toTibet and you've stepped into
(30:03):
Dharamsala and you've steppedinto a whole new world.
Actually it's called McLeodGanj, but people know it more as
Dharamsala and it is.
It's like being in Tibet.
I remember from when I went toNepal it was like being in Nepal
Just all the Buddhas and thestupas and the Dalai Lama's
(30:28):
presence there yeah, it's reallywonderful.
So that's been the main journeyof the India tours in recent
years.
And as for Bali, well, I've donea Reiki mastery training, a
live-in Reiki mastery training,in Bali.
That was very awesome, that wasfantastic.
(30:52):
But mostly I do a combinationof things.
So, depending on what the themeof the retreat is, there will
be a lot of processing work, alot of ceremony ritual and I
don't know about what peopleunderstand about a lot of Reiki
(31:14):
retreats.
But there's a lot of people whogo there and they drink
cocktails at night and get upand do yoga in the morning and
that.
But that's not my purpose whenI'm doing a retreat, so it has
to be really good.
Food and yoga normally, andmeditation always.
(31:37):
Yoga and meditation every day.
We go and visit beautifultemples, water temples and other
temples, and get ceremony, getcleansed, et cetera, by Balinese
priest or priestess.
And depends on what area theretreat is, whether we get to go
(32:00):
near the ocean and there's abat cave there, which is this
ancient cave.
Yeah, they're just wonderful,because I love Bali.
The energy there is just sobeautiful and the people
themselves are just divine.
You know, they're so special, they really are.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Thank you for sharing
that Well that was the last
question, as we've been talking,is there anything that you may
have forgotten or somethingyou'd like to share with the
listeners?
The floor is yours, oh thankyou.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
So I think the most
important thing for people at
this time, for all of us at thistime, is to really get earthed
and grounded and to you, tothink clearly about what's going
(32:56):
on on the planet and steppingout of time with that, because
it can get so messy and all itbrings up so much stuff for
people that I think that wereally have to step away from a
lot of that and it will be as itwill be.
And the more that we can connectinto our hearts, bring in our
(33:19):
own life and anchor that lightinto the planet, then we're
doing more service for thegreater good, for the planet
herself, who is on her ascensionjourney, and for all of us who
are here to do the same, becausemost people now who are
interested in the healing artsand spirituality etc.
(33:41):
Are here because their soulsare here to help this planet
shift.
So that would be my biggestmessage out to people is to,
yeah, not buy into it.
And things are getting prettymessy with the talk of World War
III and that, and I just sayyou know, leave it alone, don't
(34:03):
go there.
Just yeah, you need to remainpeaceful and calm within
yourself and it's so important,um in many ways, for your
families, for your partners andfor all those around you, and
for yourself very good and ourlisteners can find you online,
(34:26):
right?
Speaker 3 (34:26):
Yes, yes.
Sorry, what was your site again?
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Jayanti J.
Wwwjayanticom dot j-a-y-a-n-c-i.
J-a-y dot com.
Perfect well.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Thank you so much,
yonti, for joining me on this
ready set reiki journey, takingtime out of your very busy
schedule thank you very much,tracy.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
Well, it's about what
?
