Now she received her master ofScience in Conflict Analysis and
Resolution and previouslymanaged a non-profit.
Now she journeys.
That is her debut memoir in2020.
(02:32):

They spend their time exploringand riding across America
through America's public lands.
When not on wheels, her homebase is Houston and San Diego.
So let's give a nice ready setReiki.
Welcome to Sarah May, hello.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Hi Tracy, Hello
listeners, so good to be here.
Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Wonderful, so, so
excited to start this journey
with you.
What wonderful modalities youknow, bringing together Reiki
and yoga.
A lot of people don't realizethat you can blend the two and
have an amazing yoga session, bringing in that Reiki energy.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Absolutely yes, yeah,
yoga and the intuitive work
that I do.
It really all ties togetherbecause everything is energy,
right, beautiful, beautiful.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
So I gave our
listeners just a little taste of
who you are.
So tell us a little bit aboutyourself.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, so thank you
for the introduction.
I also call myself a healingguide, because there's this idea
that you know we're alsofiguring it out, we're also
walking a path, and howbeautiful that the tools and the
resources that helped us canbecome ways we can support
others on this journey, becauselife is a journey, it's not the
(03:51):
destination.
And so, yeah, I'm a writer, I'ma teacher and I'm a healing
guide.
I received my yogacertification way, way back in
2014, but I didn't startteaching until 2019.
And from 2019 onwards, I'vebeen on a pretty radical
spiritual journey, working witha shaman, and that's how I got
(04:15):
introduced to Reiki, and sothat's become a part of my life
and a part of my practice aswell as intuitive work.
So I took a year long intuitivedevelopment course.
So now I work one on one withclients doing Reiki intuitive
readings.
And, yeah, my book comes outSeptember 9, 2025.
(04:36):
I'm so excited for that.
It's a memoir about healing, sowe can get into that later,
absolutely.
But yeah, and I'm a nomad, Ilive on the road.
Right now I'm coming to youfrom my camper van, so very
exposed to the elements.
But I love it the freedom, theminimalism, the adventure.
It's just suited me to havethis alternative lifestyle for
(04:59):
the last five years now.
So it's an adventure and I'mloving it.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Beautiful.
I have a friend that does thattoo on the road and it's her
first experience at Burning man.
So I don't know if you knoweverything that's going on.
Yeah, I hope she's okay.
Burning man, right, I'm like,oh my goodness, and she was so
proud of herself with her littlecargo van and everything and
she's like it is a white outhere.
Wow, I hope she's okay.
(05:27):
Oh yeah, yeah she's, she's fine.
Well, you know, in true spiritof the Burning man, she's down
now off social media, so she'sall she's all in.
So back to our journey here withthe energy.
So you connected with the Reikienergy.
So tell us, did you find Reikior did it find you?
Speaker 3 (05:47):
energy.
So tell us, did you find Reikior did it find you?
I love this question.
Reiki absolutely found me andit was something that I wasn't
really looking for right anddidn't know I was looking for it
.
I started working with a shamanand part of her practice was
incorporating Reiki into hersessions, and so it would be
maybe 15 to 20 minutes abouttalking and coaching and back
(06:08):
and forth, and then she wouldgive me a Reiki treatment, and
the first time I laid on hertable I had no idea what to
expect.
I'd never done anything likethat in my life.
I was a little weirded out, alittle uncomfortable, and then
the most amazing things happenedin my body, in my space.
I was getting these mentalpictures that were just like
(06:29):
gorgeous, and I felt hot andthen cold and different burning
at parts of my body and I waslike what is this?
I was so intrigued and justknew that I had to find out more
about Reiki and I left heroffice just feeling so like
gooey, like so soft, so relaxed,so open.
(06:51):
I couldn't even drive Tracy.
I had to sit in my car for like15 minutes and just come back
and, you know, have a firmlanding here on earth, because
it was so subtle and gentle butprofound and I just knew like,
okay, there's something reallypowerful about this modality.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Right.
What style of Reiki did youstudy?
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yeah, the Yasui
Sensei and Mistress Takayama.
I'm not sure exactly whatlineage that would be called.
That's a great question.
Yeah, yeah, I don't knowexactly.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Very good, very good.
So, as you are out, you'veexperienced the Reiki, this
experience where it felt gooeyand warm and lovely.
As you're out, working, havingthis experience, what are some
common misconceptions you findabout Reiki?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, I think this is
a great question because I had
misconceptions about ReikiEspecially.
I grew up very conservativeChristian and so this whole
spiritual world and energy world, like it just wasn't something
that was talked about.
And if it was, it was kind ofmore occult, like um, not really
open to it, and so I had a lotof unpacking to do and limiting
(08:14):
stories or limiting beliefs andjudgments that came up when I
kind of discovered this worldand stepped into a more
spiritual path, um, and so Ithink, just being open and
asking why not, and let's justtry and see, you know, who knows
what could resonate with us orwho knows what could be the
(08:34):
right medicine for us, and so Ithink some of the misconceptions
are that it's it's kind of woo,woo but actually like this is
being used in hospice, this hasbeen used in hospitals.
My mom got a severe burn andwas submitted to the ER and
someone came in and gave herReiki and that's when she's like
oh, wow, like I didn't knowthat you, you know you do this,
(08:57):
like I didn't realize this is alegitimate thing.
And so kind of getting pastsome of the myths or the
stereotypes, to be open enoughto ask why not.
Let's see what it has to offerRight.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
And I love how it's
progressing.
Social media is reallyinstrumental in mainstreaming
this and like my kids, like I'llask them, oh, yeah, so, and so
does this on TikTok and I knowthis and that.
So it's wonderful that manypeople wouldn't even connect a
burn right Because they'rethinking like, oh, emotional
right, and to think, wow, it'sbeing sent in an emergency room
(09:32):
for a burn and that's how thebeauty of this it's really.
You're only limited by yourimagination, but you can use it
for.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
So, as you're out
helping others through yoga,
through Reiki, through yourintuitive work, what have been
some of the biggest challengesyou have faced in your own
journey?
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Yeah, this is a great
question.
When I first started out, Imentioned I was raised pretty
conservative Christian and Ijust faced, internally and
externally, quite a bit ofjudgment.
And I just faced internally andexternally quite a bit of
judgment around this work, around this path, and so it
really had to become somethingthat I was so passionate about
(10:14):
it that it didn't matter whatother people said or thought.
It really had to come from myown sense of like this feels
right and true for me, andhonoring that, despite what
anybody else said or thought orthe opinions, and when we get to
that place of acceptance aboutknowing and following what feels
true for us, that's reallypowerful and I would say it was
(10:38):
kind of an initiation intotrusting myself and following
the right path for me.
And everybody's path looksdifferent, right, and that's
beautiful.
We all are here to havedifferent journeys and
experience different things.
But when we finally get thatfeeling of walking our path and
being on our path I mean, tracy,I'm sure you know there's
nothing like it Like you justhave this peace and this this
(11:02):
knowing, even with there'schallenges which of course there
will be it still feels right,it still feels worth it, because
you just know that this is whatyou came here for.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Right and I'm you
know, in my experience with yoga
and with Reiki I've encounteredindividuals just the hearing
the name yoga, hearing the nameReiki, causes and stirs emotion.
Like you don't get thisreaction when you get, say, the
word massage or going to ahairdresser.
And I grew up in a veryChristian home and it was
(11:35):
frowned upon for Reiki and foryoga especially, and my mother
is just, she never approved ofit and I even tweaked my yoga
practice so that I wouldn't docertain asanas that would have
been part of, say, a ritual, andit still wasn't good enough.
I even went so far as to dolike Christian yoga and my
(11:58):
mother's reaction was well, Idon't see how you saying some
Bible verses, doing a sunsalutation, makes this Christian
.
So I completely understand justthe word and it just invokes in
people these reactions you knowfrom OK, well, that's Hindu or
(12:18):
it's this or it's not a part ofmy religion and it's so much
different than that.
I mean we want to honor thelineage but at the same time
it's bringing meaning to what itmeans for you.
So kudos for that.
That was a struggle in mybeginning as well, because I had
the family that said no, that'snot what we do.
(12:39):
You sit and you pray and you'renot doing these things.
But I knew that there wassomething more and a connection
and a deeper connection.
And who was anybody else to saythat when I'm in these asanas,
that I'm having that spiritualtime right?
That connection?
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, absolutely.
I love that.
You shared that and it's sointeresting because, like Reiki,
for example, this hands-onenergy healing, like they do
that in church, they heal withtheir hands, right, like who's
to say it's different.
And like yoga, for me, I feltsafer in a yoga studio than I
ever did in a church, and sothat for me was like what is
(13:18):
this about?
You know why?
Why do I feel that way?
Speaker 2 (13:22):
And so finding those
places where you Very good, so
you had mentioned that you hadconnected with a shaman.
So, from a shaman to a Reikimaster or Reiki practitioner,
what are some qualities that youlook for when it's time for you
(13:44):
, you know, to get, say, a tuneup or to connect with someone?
Speaker 3 (14:11):
no-transcript
intuitively like, okay, there's
something this feels like agreen light, right, or there's
some red flags here.
So really using my intention todecipher as well, um, and I do
that like if they have videos ofthemselves, you know, just
watching the video and seeinghow I feel, seeing if there's
(14:32):
anything in me that says, ohyeah, I love that, I love what
she said or they said.
And so, paying attention to myintuition, looking for integrity
, those are kind of thecornerstones for me.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeah, and it makes me
think of prior to social media,
internet and things.
I remember, and this is wayback, when you just had the
phone book right, and I had tofind a doctor and there was
listings of all these doctorsand there was a particular
doctor and it just her name.
Just sounded great to me, likethis is my doctor, like I just
(15:07):
knew, without even seeing herface, that connection.
And then finally, when I mether, it was like, yeah, this is
my doctor and you know she wasable to be my doctor through,
you know, four pregnancies andyou know just was a great,
amazing doctor.
So that feeling is, iseverything that connection with
it?
So make sure, as you go out andyou know you're finding the
(15:30):
teachers and you're finding thatpractitioners, that it also
feels right as well.
I mean, they can have lots andlots of credentials and frames
on their wall, but if you don'thave that connection, you know
it's just so and so important.
So what advice would you givesomeone who is just entering
(15:51):
this profession, whether it'sReiki or even yoga?
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Yeah.
So I think one of the thingsthat was most helpful for me was
when I did my Reiki trainingprogram after getting the level
one attunement.
It wasn't about going out andgiving other people sessions,
it's really about developing therelationship with myself with
the Reiki.
And so, you know, we had aReiki log and developed a
personal daily practice ofgiving ourselves Reiki.
(16:15):
And so, you know, we had aReiki log in and developed a
personal daily practice ofgiving ourselves Reiki, and that
was really helpful because ithelped me just develop a deep
personal relationship with it.
What did it feel like?
How did I experience it on myown?
And I really believe thatthat's so important because that
becomes the foundation of ofyour practice to share it with
others.
It wasn't until the level twothat I actually began
(16:37):
experimenting, you know, withchanneling and sessions for
other people, but developingthat really solid relationship,
first on my own.
And so taking your time withany new skill or tool that
you're learning or coming intoand, you know, developing your
own yoga practice, developingyour own Reiki, practicing what
(16:57):
feels good, you know learningthe different, you know hand
signals and and working, practicing the symbols.
So just taking your time withit and really developing that
one-on-one, because it is adifferent type of energy, right,
and so connecting with it inthat way and building that
foundation.
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
I know when I began
it was kind of this fire energy.
Everything was coming andhappening so fast and five years
into that it was like it justkept coming, coming and coming
and it got to.
And you may have experiencedthis where your own personal
yoga practice starts to sufferbecause you're teaching way more
(17:39):
than you know.
You're practicing in yourselfand as you go along, if you find
yourself with this abundance, you know, maybe, perhaps you
know intuitive, you're a mastermanifester and you're finding,
wow, the clients are coming, thestudents are coming, the
classes, the opportunities it'sokay to pause and just reset.
(18:02):
And I have found before we beganour journey today we talked
about like my great upheaval, and part of that is pausing a
little bit, pausing andredirecting things and taking
and going back to the basics, like bringing in the precepts
and taking time to let'sreconnect with the energy again
(18:22):
and slow it down, because I wasconnecting so much to others
that it was time to kind ofbring it back again and circle
around.
So those bold decisions to sayyou know what I'm, I really need
to care for myself is soimportant and instrumental.
It's not always about puttingthat Reiki cape on and saving
the world.
Right, you got to get yourselftogether as well, so what books
(18:48):
do you recommend?
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, great question.
So there's quite a few aboutReiki and energy healing.
If people are curious, thatoffer like just a great
introduction.
You know, healing hands, Reiki, introduction to Reiki, Reiki
for beginners.
But I also really love pairingthat with learning about energy
(19:11):
and especially energy and how itaffects the body and the system
overall.
So Carolyn Miss has some greatworks.
She's a medical medium and herbooks are really really helpful,
especially for me, just interms of energetically, how
different things impact ourbodies and where they sit in our
bodies, and so that's beenespecially helpful because I
(19:31):
just feel more like aware, youknow, of what the energy could
be doing, and so that's beenreally helpful.
Those two books, and I wouldsay that those are the main
things.
I wanted to share somethingelse, but it slipped my mind, so
we'll move on.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Perfect, so do you
offer classes, trainings, events
.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yes, I do so.
I offer one on one sessionswith people either doing Reiki
or an intuitive reading or acombination of both.
I also do monthly women'scircles, so this is where a
group of women can come together, come into community, get an
intuitive reading and have thespace just to connect and have a
(20:18):
safe space to be seen and bewitnessed and talk about things
that might be going on in theirlives.
And then I'm creating a divorceritual.
So this is going live on mywebsite soon.
I'm so excited about this on mywebsite soon.
I'm so excited about this.
It's something that I writeabout in my book how, when I got
divorced, I needed so much morethan a piece of paper saying
(20:41):
that I was separated.
That didn't feel like closureto me, especially energetically
or in my body or in my heart.
And so many years after mydivorce, I created this ritual
where I went to the same beachthat I was married at, I burned
the vows that my ex-husband andI had exchanged.
I read new vows out loud tomyself, I burned the ashes, I
(21:05):
released to the ocean, and itwas really powerful in terms of
finding that closure that Ineeded and calling my power back
.
In a sense, it was almost likethere was a version of me that
was still on that beach waitingand waiting for a promise that
was never going to come true, and so I really believe in the
power of ritual to help us findpeace, clarity, closure, to move
(21:29):
on from something.
So I'm really excited aboutthis divorce ritual that I'll be
releasing soon to hopefullyhelp support others in their own
journey of healing after adivorce.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Beautiful.
So where can we find you onlineand in person?
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Yeah, so you can find
me at she journeysus.
I'm also on Instagram underthat same handle at she double
underscore journeys, and you canfind everything on my website
about my upcoming book, about myofferings.
If you join my mailing listyou'll get notified about those
(22:04):
monthly women's circles.
I also post about that onsocial media and because I'm a
full time nomad, it's prettyhard to pin me down in person,
but I will have some events inSan Diego in September that I'm
really full-time nomad, it'spretty hard to pin me down in
person, but I will have someevents in San Diego in September
that I'm really excited aboutat the Soul of Yoga, and so,
depending on where I am, I wouldlove to do local events.
(22:24):
But you know, this lifestyle isnot great for being rooted
somewhere.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
All right.
Well, that ends our first partof our journey together and I'm
going to guide you into thesecond part, which are questions
from social media and Reikistudents.
So number one you touched on ina little bit, but we're
circling back around.
Tell us a little bit about yourwomen's circles.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Yeah, so I primarily
put this out on social media, my
newsletter.
It's a free space, so anyonecan join and what you can expect
is coming together on zoom.
So this is a virtual gatheringand everyone has the opportunity
to bring a question, somethingthat they're curious about,
something that's going on intheir life.
(23:06):
And it's really sweet to be incommunity, because what happens
when I channel an intuitivereading is that usually
something comes through that'sfor other people in the group as
well, right, and so I channelmaybe 10 minutes per person of
whatever is coming through, whatever information is coming
through, and then there's anopportunity to discuss, to share
(23:29):
, to ask follow-up questions andjust connect.
I think creating these spaces isreally important, because it's
not so often that women can cometogether and like soften in
into those spaces and have thatintuitive channeling and connect
.
Even if it's just a stranger,with intuitive readings you're
really kind of tapping into theheart and soul of something.
(23:52):
There's no surface levelconversation, there's no shallow
conversation.
It's really like oh, I seeyou're really struggling with
self-worth and who can't relateto that?
Right?
So it really helps to havethese universal things that
we're all working on, we're allmoving through, witnessing them
and one another and then beingable to say, oh yeah, me too.
(24:12):
It was really really helpful.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Beautiful.
Well, thank you for holdingspace like that and giving
individuals an opportunity tocome together in a community.
So, as we began the journeytalking about you, know how
important community is to neverfeel that you are alone.
Yeah absolutely Number two yourbook.
What inspired you to write?
Speaker 3 (24:35):
She Journeys.
Yes, thank you.
I'm so excited to talk aboutthis.
It's been a huge labor of love.
I spent four years writing thisbook and it's a memoir about my
first marriage, the way itimploded, and my divorce and a
long healing journey that Iembarked on, and so I always
(24:55):
knew that I would write a book.
I know that sounds funny, butI've kept a daily journal since
I was a teenager.
Writing has just always been myway of processing and grounding
down and making meaning, and sowhen my divorce happened, I
knew one day I would write aboutit, if only just for my own
healing, if only just for my ownprocess, if only just for my
own process.
However, it took many, manyyears to get to a time and space
(25:18):
in my life where I actuallycould begin the writing.
So van life has been amazing, because this has been the time
and space that I needed to beable to write my book.
So the book chronicles mymarriage, a lot of marital
trauma and abuse that occurred, the divorce and a 10-year long
(25:39):
healing journey.
There was traveling across thecountry alone, backpacking,
camping, trying to bury the painfor a little while, pretending
that it didn't exist until itbubbled up in a way that showed
me we can never just bury thepast right.
It always comes up to be dealtwith.
And so I started the healingwork.
(26:00):
I went to traditional thingslike talk therapy and EMDR and
then we got into the alternativebecause I figured why not?
Anything that helps me heal andfind peace can be medicine.
So that's when I started workingwith a shaman and I found Reiki
and I started sitting in plantmedicine ceremonies.
(26:20):
Yoga was a huge part of that.
So it's really beautiful thatall of the things that helped me
heal along the way I've nowincorporated in my offerings to
share with others, because Iknow that they worked for me.
I know how powerful they can be.
So my book she Journeyschronicles all of this and it
ends with moving into a van andwhere I currently am in life,
(26:42):
which is happily remarried andgosh, living a dream that I
didn't know I would ever get tolive- Wow, Isn't that wonderful.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
I mean, I'm sure you
never imagined 10 or 15 years
ago you'd be here today anddoing the work that you're doing
and traveling.
I mean how different that looks.
But you kept on the journey, you kept moving forward, you
kept trying different modalitiesto find that one that worked
for you.
And you took it a step furtherby being of service for others
(27:14):
as well.
So that's where the deephealing happens, there.
So kudos for that andeverything that you're doing to
help individuals out there.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Number three, you touched onthis a little bit, but can you
share a little bit about thedivorce ritual and how it has
helped you and how it might helpothers?
Speaker 3 (27:40):
how it might help
others, yeah, yeah.
So I think this idea of havinga ritual, especially after
something so significant, right.
When we get married, there'ssome type of ceremony, whether
that's your traditional bigceremony, you know, hundreds of
friends and family and anofficiant and all the vows and
the exchanging of rings theseare all rituals, right, and
we're making a commitment thatwe believe will be forever, for
(28:01):
the rest of our life.
So, energetically, there'sreally big things happening when
we do that, when we make thatkind of commitment, and then
when we get divorced, there'snothing.
So that doesn't really, for me,feel like okay, energetically,
I had all of that and now I'mjust done.
So I really didn't feel anytype of closure and I'm the kind
(28:24):
of person where I needsomething solid, I need
something to cement.
That was that chapter, and nowI can move forward fully.
Otherwise, energetically, I'mstill carrying things.
I'm still somewhere in my bodycarrying that promise, that
commitment, or just the memoriesof grief or pain or, you know,
the sadness of what I thoughtwas going to be the rest of my
(28:45):
life, and then this person whoturned out to break our wedding
vows in every way possible, soburied in our bodies, is memory
right, and so it took a longtime for me to realize that I
needed more.
I didn't do my divorce ritualuntil seven years later, and
that was only because I had putoff healing for so long.
(29:07):
But every time I drove past thebeach where I was buried, I
felt sick to my stomach, it waslike a kick in my gut and I
would have this visceralreaction.
We would call that a trigger.
And so I realized, oh, there'sa place to revisit, there's
still a place to call back mypower from and to integrate more
.
And so designing this ritualand I was very intentional about
(29:31):
how I approached it and I justasked my parents to join me,
which felt very fitting and veryclose with my parents join me,
which felt very fitting and veryclose with my parents.
They were there on my weddingday and so, and they were so
supportive and helpful to me inthe healing process, so it felt
so sweet to go back to the samebeach with them, have them serve
as witnesses for this new vowright that I was offering up to
(29:54):
myself and to my journey andjust speaking out loud that I
let go that part of my life withforgiveness and I start this
new chapter, that part of myjourney is now finished and
complete, really like namingthese things out loud and
intending them and meaning them, wow, it felt so powerful.
I felt this shift shift and itwas just so beautiful.
(30:18):
I didn't expect to feel like sodifferent afterwards but I did,
and so that kind of cued me inlike, oh, there's something
really powerful here aboutbringing in a ritual to help
close a chapter of our lives andto create space for the rest of
our lives.
Right, anytime we burn orrelease something or let
something go, space is created.
(30:39):
So what are we calling in, whatare we welcoming in?
And this ritual really feltlike doing that in a big way.
So I'm so excited to hopefullysupport others as they design a
divorce ritual that feels rightfor them.
But rituals like this can beused for anything for grief, for
a full moon for them.
But you know, rituals like thiscan be used for anything for
for grief, for a full moon, youknow, for transitions in life,
(31:01):
just to help us get intentionaland maybe release something or
welcome something.
And so I'm a big believer inthe power of ritual.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Right.
I mean, as you look back, youknow the whole process.
I mean as women, you know, evenfrom a young age it was like
okay, well, you'll go to school, you'll get married and you have
this kind of almost culturalway of having your life set up
and all of the experiences thatlead up to the actual ceremony
of the wedding, from the showers, right the events and the
(31:33):
bachelorette party and thenhaving that ceremony.
And then when things don't workout, I remember when I had
gotten a divorce, you go intothe lawyer's office, you sign
the paper and that was it andyou're just like what do I do
with this now?
And how different it would havebeen for me years ago if there
(31:54):
was some kind of closure in thatway, you know, and for you
taking to that exact moment onthe beach and having your
parents there to have thatclosure, it wasn't even a
thought of what should I burn, what should I do here and there.
And over the years, you know, Iwould see pictures from our
wedding and get upset andtriggered and things like that.
(32:15):
But how differently that couldhave gone if I had that option,
you know.
And you hear people abouthaving their little divorce
party or, like you know, messthe dress or burn the dress or
something, something in a way tokind of release and let that go
.
So thank you for putting thatout there as an option for
individuals when they go to thatattorney, sign the papers and
(32:43):
it's like, well, what do I dowith this?
How do I handle this?
How do I?
move forward.
Right, you know you may nothave those resources.
You know, at the time it waslike my husband, my ex-husband
he was the first person in hisfamily to get divorced.
You know, what do you do withthat?
You know so, yeah, so thank youfor putting that out there.
Well, that was our thirdquestion, our last question as
(33:03):
we've been talking.
Is there anything else you'veforgotten about or something
you'd like to share with thelisteners?
The floor is yours.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Yeah, thank you,
tracy.
Something came up that I wantedto mention too.
When we're talking about Reikior intuitive readings and
working with this, this world isthat and, tracy, I'm sure you
talk about this a lot but isthat we are?
It's not us necessarily doingit right, we're channeling
something, we open ourselves upto channel this beautiful
(33:32):
healing, reiki energy and same.
When I do intuitive readings,it's not Sarah doing this, it's
that I'm opening myself up andallowing this to come through in
service of, on behalf of, andso, I think, also looking for a
healer that, like ego, you know, can get in the way, like ego,
(33:53):
you know, can get in the way,and it's so not about who, who I
am, you know, sarah as a healer.
It's really about, like, inservice of, and handing over
this space, and before everysingle session, you know, I'm
setting the space and preparinga space and and saying prayers
and, um, getting ready, and thenI hand over the session because
(34:16):
it's not mine, right?
Like I really believe that theuniverse has brought this person
to me and me to them and we'veagreed to work together, and so
I'm not in control of that, likethat's the universe, and so,
just at some point handing itover and saying, okay, here we
go, and also that's taught me somuch about how to show up in
life, right, like we do our workand we go about our days and we
(34:39):
do the best we can, we show upand then at some point there's
so much that we just have tohand over, you know, and so
there's so many beautifullessons in Reiki about that we
can take for living life andliving life well.
So I just think this idea ofit's not us.
You know we're in service onbehalf of and I take that as a
(35:03):
serious responsibility and alsolike what an honor you know that
someone is coming to us, thatwe're, you know, entering this
space with them.
So being a healer is a bigresponsibility, and and being a
healer comes from workingourselves right, from going
through this ourselves.
So, chazie, I know you've donethat and and done all that work
(35:27):
so, and you've written a book,so that's an incredible resource
to share with people.
Uh, I'm so excited for my bookas a resource for people and a
divorce ritual and just takingadvantage of all the amazing
offerings out there.
So, tracy, thank you so muchfor creating this space.
It's so fun to talk about Reikiand things I love yoga, writing
(35:47):
all of it.
I love this world and reallyappreciate you creating this
space for Reiki practitionersand for the listeners to come
here and learn more about thisworld.
So thank you.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
