What if your daily energy practice was as ordinary—and essential—as brushing your teeth? We open with a clear look at Reiki as steady nervous system care and a quiet path to self-healing, then welcome author, intuitive guide, and coach Dina Barron to map how tarot, numerology, palmistry, astrology, and a delightfully simple charm system turn inner knowing into practical steps. Dina’s story travels from a grandmother’s astrology lessons to a New York tea party where a children’s event sparked a new divination language. Along the way, we challenge myths about “healers,” reframe subtle sessions as powerful, and show how consistency builds resilience before life gets loud.

The conversation digs into burnout, boundaries, and the cost of a chronic yes. Tracy shares a cascade of wake-up calls that forced rest, and Dina offers a sharp metaphor: when we ignore signs, the universe finds louder ones. From there, we get tactical—what to look for in a practitioner (steadiness, humility, clarity, real boundaries), how to start your own path (curiosity over expectation), and why copying a teacher always falls short of your own rhythm. Books and tools surface as companions, not crutches: Reiki foundations for practice, Tara Mohr’s Playing Big to expand your voice, and Mary K. Greer’s tarot guides to deepen symbolic fluency.

You’ll also hear a live charm reading that reveals why ordinary symbols—bicycles, spoons, ladders, moons—can carry extraordinary personal meaning. Dina’s Alignment Experience, a year-long program crafted around numerical cycles, offers an intimate container to clarify purpose, values, and timing so decisions feel clean and courageous. For those craving a quicker reset, she shares a 12-week path to break people-pleasing and build authentic choices that stick. The thread running through it all is simple and strong: alignment is a practice, intuition is learnable, and everyday rituals can change the way you move through work, family, and faith.

If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs a gentle nudge, and leave a review to help others find our community. Your next step toward alignment might be one breath, one symbol, or one small yes away.

So we're able to see what he wasdoing from age 23 until he
connected with the Reiki energy.
Also in that uh magazine, thereis Reiki for Burnout, written by
me.
My other article, Reiki Rays, and that is uh an interesting uh
one as well because it is with aReiki with Christianity.
This has been something in mylife that's been a little bit of

(01:48):
a challenge growing up in a in aChristian Bible-based home.
So that article's in there.
Just look up under Reiki Raysand for September 27th.
Also, my article with Reiki forbuying a home.
That is in the ReikiAssociations magazine, Universal
uh magazine, issue number seven.
These things are all foundonline, but you can actually get

(02:10):
a physical copy of Reiki News.

Hi, Tracy.
Welcome, welcome.
So let's begin our journeytogether.
You have a lot that you do, andI'd like our listeners to hear
all about you.
So tell us a little bit aboutyourself.

SPEAKER_01 (03:11):
Sure.
Okay.
So my name is Dina Barron, and Ilive in New York City, a city
that I adore for all of its gritand magic.
And as far as I can remember, Ihave felt drawn to signs and
symbols and the unseen.
And I think that I have beenvery lucky because my

(03:31):
grandmother introduced me toastrology at a very young age.
And my grandmother was a teacherin a long line of teachers.
And I feel as though, so I kindof come from, you know, my
grandmother was interested inmysticism and astrology and all
this stuff and teachers.
And that kind of gave me theconstant hum that like kind of
underlies all of my work.
And living in New York City, itgave me so many opportunities.

(03:53):
Like there were always classeson tarot, on astrology.
Like there were always classesfor me to take.
And I see myself as a foreverstudent.
My appetite for learning isinsatiable.
And I feel as what that has ledto is today I blend many of my

roles (04:09):
intuitive reader, coach, mentor, teacher, and creative.
I published my book, The WayWithin: Igniting Your Intuition
with Sacred Tools back in April.
I also have created two seasonalcharm journals since then.
Everything is sold on Amazon.
And I lead private clients, group programs, and I teach, I

(04:31):
host events, and I really enjoymentoring others.
So my work is really abouthelping people reclaim their
voice, reconnect with theirsoul, and step into a more
authentic version of who theytruly are.

SPEAKER_00 (04:45):
Beautiful.
I love New York.
I remember when I was 12 yearsold, and uh my home was a big
beetle, beetle uh household withthe music.
And at 12 years old, all Iwanted to do was go to New York
to see the Dakota, right?
Yeah, it's right near me.

(05:05):
So I was so excited.
But what was so ridiculous um atthe time, for some reason I was
wearing a door shirt.
I was going these pictures ofme, you know.
So we got to go see, but thetrip was because uh my uncle,
um, I guess whatever they weredoing uh for Ellis Island repair
at the time, he paid money tohave one of my

(05:26):
great-grandparents' names on it.
So that was the whole reason ofthe trip.
But I kept asking my uncle, whothankfully was a huge Beetle fan
as well.
So he drove me up right to theentrance, you know, and we're
taking pictures.
So, but the energy there is justamazing, isn't it?
So it is I just you can feel it.
And I'm here in El Paso, Texas, about 25 minutes from the

(05:48):
border.
And it's so interesting tocompare the energy of New York
being on Ellis Island to beinghere.
It's so vastly different.
And when people ask me, how doesit feel here?
I said it doesn't feel like NewYork.
Like New York is like the hopesand dreams and excitement where
here a lot of people enter underdistress, right?

(06:09):
And trying to come in.
And so you feel that kind ofworry, that heaviness where you
feel this electric energy likein New York, like anything is
possible.
Uh, energy.
So we're talking about themystical arts.
So when did all this energy workcome into your life?
Do you say that it found you oryou found it?

SPEAKER_01 (06:31):
Well, I would definitely say that it found me.
I mean, my grandmotherintroduced me at such a young
age that I really didn't know,like I felt like I guess
everybody's learning this.
Like, you know, if you thinkabout like growing up, like you
don't you think that everyone'shaving the same experience as
you.
And then when you get a littleolder, you're like, oh, nobody's
having the same experience asme.
Um, and I feel as though thatbegan it.

(06:54):
And I always was interested.
Like I grew up in New Jersey andI remember like I used to go to
the boardwalk with my family, and you know, we used to see
like palm readers or likemystics or psychics on the on
the on the beach or on theboardwalk.
And I used to beg my mom, pleaselet me get a reading.
And she's like, keep walking, like we are not stopping for
these people, you know, kind ofthing.
And it was just always somethingthat I was interested in.

(07:16):
And I I feel like when I movedto New York City after I
graduated from college, um,because I had a job that had me
working like basically aroundthe clock, I I realized I need
to get a class or something thattakes me out of this routine of
just constantly working.
And I found a class on tarot.
And that started my, you know, kind of like real, you know,

(07:41):
studying of it in in a real way.
And I, and then I feel as thoughevery experience that I've had
after that has had like kind ofa gateway moment.
Like, for example, I did notstart out by studying Reiki.
And and but what happened is,you know, all of these
modalities have crossovers.
Like, I mean, I I work withwithin so many modalities.

(08:01):
Like I know people that dopretty much anything and
everything.
Like I know like a lot ofdifferent people.
Everyone's like, do you knowsomeone that can do voodoo?
I'm like, I do, you know, kindof thing.
Like I can I can find yousomeone basically that can do
anything.
But what was happening for mepersonally is I remember I was
going through a bit of adifficult time and I was unable
to really find any logic orreason or any advice that really

(08:26):
felt valuable to me.
And a friend of mine saw that Iwas struggling and he was a
Reiki, he was a Reiki Reikipractitioner, and he said to me,
it would be my pleasure to tooffer this to you.
And I remember just theexperience of that.
Like I felt so much love and Ifelt so held.

(08:50):
It was just like I it was hardto even even put into words the
the value and the actual beingin the experience.
I just I felt like there waslike a before and there was an
after to that.
And and and then what happensis, you know, life gets busy.
And I remember like that wasvery helpful for me at that

(09:12):
time.
And then kind of like skipforward about maybe like nine
years.
And um uh right before COVID, II was giving somebody a gift,
like a gag gift.
I bought something on Etsy, anda a woman, the woman that I
bought something from on Etsyreached out to me and she said,

(09:34):
I know this may sound odd, butthrough your purchase and like
the note that you like wrote tome, um your spirit guide came to
me and said that your third eyeis blocked.
And that you know, he is askingyou to, you know, to take care

(09:55):
of that basically.
And that is what kind of uh ledme to seek out Reiki again.
And I've and so it's like so Ihad that experience which was
positive, but then I kind oflike got away from it, and then
I had this amazing experienceonce again.
It was around 2020, and um thatled me to getting um not only, I
mean, I had a bunch of amazingexperiences with Reiki and I was

(10:19):
able to connect with my spiritguide, I was able to connect
with an archangel, I was able toconnect with my grandmother in
the afterlife.
And I also decided that I wantedto um study Reiki, I wanted to
become a practitioner myself.
And um, so I actually pursued, II went and I I I seek I seeked

(10:40):
out a um a program and I onlydid get to level one.
So I'm not quite I haven'tstopped, but I have taken a
little pause because life.
But um, but it but I definitelyhave had really wildly
impactful, powerful, meaningfulexperiences with Reiki.
And it's it's kind of hard toput into words, which is like, I

(11:04):
know not helpful to anybodythat's a saying, but it's it was
really huge, really huge for me.

SPEAKER_00 (11:09):
Yeah, yeah.
And it's one of those thingsthat it's hard, as you said, to
put into words.
You just need to experience.
And not everyone, when youapproach Reiki, has to be that
master teacher or has to eventeach.
I think everyone should at leastget level one because level one
is about you, your self-healing.
So it gives you those tools sothat you're able to do your

(11:33):
higher purpose, which is foryou, all these, you know,
wonderful things, you know, master tarot reader, palm
reader, astrologer, creator.
It gives you those tools as younavigate to keep you grounded,
to help you with that stress, tohelp you open that third eye.
So it's not necessarily noteveryone's call to teach it, but
it's a really great tool to useto help us get through life.

(11:56):
I mean, we get things thrown atus all the time, and our breath
gets unsteady, our nervoussystem, you know, blood
pressure, all of these things.
And that's the invitation inlevel one just for today.
I will not worry.

SPEAKER_01 (12:10):
Yeah, and it's also as a as a as a practitioner, as
someone who works with otherpeople and gives a lot of the
time, it is really important tohave a self-care practice.

SPEAKER_00 (12:22):
Oh, yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01 (12:24):
Because if you don't, then you will burn out.
If you don't, then you cannotgive at the level that you are
meant to.

SPEAKER_00 (12:30):
Right, right.
And it's a great tool, especially those that channel,
um, you know, tarot readers uhthat have these abilities to be
able to pause and really giveback to yourself as well.
Because we do get empathic.
We have a heart of service.
We're always giving, giving,giving.
So it's a nice little resourcethat, okay, I can do this

(12:52):
myself.
I'm gonna breathe, I'm gonna, you know, say my principles, I'm
just gonna ask the energy toflow and take care of it.
So yeah, it's a great tool tohave in your energetic toolbox.
So as you studied Reiki, whatare you finding some of the
misconceptions that people thinkabout Reiki?

SPEAKER_01 (13:11):
Sure, yeah.
Well, I feel like one of the bigmisconceptions is that you only
call on Reiki when something isbroken or in crisis.
I mean, Reiki is always present,it flows, it supports, it heals,
even if we're not being fullyaware of it.
And and another thing is likethat the healer kind of quote

(13:33):
unquote does it all.
I mean, the reality is that weare all channels, we all
surrender, we all hold energy,we all let the energy move
through us.
So the more precise and the moregrounded and the more humble we
are, the stronger the energy is.
So, and and and not everysession has to be like, you

(13:54):
know, a storm comes through andlightning strikes and big things
happen.
I mean, sometimes it can just belike a quiet, calm inner
alignment and inner peace.

SPEAKER_00 (14:03):
And those subtle changes are really powerful as
well.
Right.
My first Reiki, uh, a Zui Rahihho teacher, she always said,
it's like brushing your teeth.
Do this every single day.
Yeah.
And just you have to make it ahabit and you know, bringing it
in, just asking it to flow.
And so when the big things hit,and I remember uh about three

(14:24):
years ago, I was in a I teachyoga, but I also go into other
classes for you know my own kindof um practice.
And uh I actually hurt andteared, I got a tear, and I went
in uh to the doctor and um I waslike, Oh, you know, all this
stuff.
And he says, but if you didn'tjust think if you didn't do the
Reiki, like how worse off thiscould have been, you know.

(14:46):
So every time there's asituation kind of medically, and
I'm like, people will say, Howdid this happen to you?
You do Reiki all the time, andthe doctor would be like, Well,
just think if you didn't bringthat a part of your practice, it
could be really, really worse.
So yeah, just using it every dayinstead of like, you know, oh my
goodness, here it is, and pickand choose from it.
It's something I do every day.

(15:08):
And there were times, because asyou said, life gets busy that I
would get busy and then I'dstart something would happen.
I'm like, oh, I really got to goback to my basics and have that
consistent practice becauseyou'll feel it, it'll catch up
with you.
Yeah, and I have to stop and andand redirect.
So we all get those reminders.
Exactly, exactly.
So you probably have many peoplethat come to you with astrology,

(15:31):
your work, your uh charms, tarotreading, and they're always
usually coming with some type ofadvice, guidance, or some type
of challenge that they're goingthrough.
So being someone that helpsguide people through their
challenges, what has been thebiggest challenge you have
faced, whether it's personal orprofessional?

SPEAKER_01 (15:51):
Oh, well, I mean, I feel as though, I mean, I think
that people think like that justbecause you're a Reiki
practitioner or just becauseyou're uh a reader, or just, I
mean, they think that like proplife is problem free and it's
not.
Like everyone has stuff thatthey deal with.
And um, and and I I feel asthough as a mom, I I feel like

(16:14):
one of the biggest things is umis trying to find balance um for
me, like trying to um figure outlike how to because I mean there
are things that only I can do inmy family and in my life and
with my kids.
I I don't want to delegate itand I I I I don't delegate it.
And the thing is that sometimespieces of my work and pieces of

(16:38):
me need to kind of get put on aback burner.
So I feel as though I'm alwaysum working with that shifting
and changing and balancing actof life.
And um, I'm asking, like I feellike I I have developed a
stronger sense of patience and Ihave developed a sense of trust.

(16:59):
Like I have to trust that I'm ona path.
And, you know, just to be alittle bit more specific, um, my
youngest went through a reallymajor challenge.
And um, you know, it's like hehe's my third, but once again,
it's like just because he's mythird child doesn't mean that
I've I've done this before.

(17:20):
And and at first it was I feltlike he was constantly pulling
me away from my work andconstantly like I I felt very
discombobulated because I didn'tfeel grounded because I wasn't
able to do my work.
And then I had a perspectiveshift, and the perspective shift
was that this is my work, he ismy teacher, and I was able to

(17:43):
show up and be present in a waythat I hadn't been before, and
there was so much growthavailable there for me.
And so I feel as though, youknow, when you and this is like
a lesson for everyone, when yougo through a challenge, instead
of being like, I'm so irritatedthat this is happening, I'm so

(18:04):
angry that this is taking meaway from like the rainbows and
unicorns that are supposed to bemy life, you know, kind of
thing, instead of, you know, kind of being irritated or angry
or frustrated at it, say, whatis the lesson here?
What do I need to learn?
And how can I exit thissituation stronger, more

(18:24):
knowledgeable, more capable, more empowered than I was
before.
So I feel as though I have faceda lot of struggles and I feel as
though um I did have thosemoments of questioning, and then
I decided that I was going toget comfortable with being
uncomfortable.

SPEAKER_00 (18:47):
I think that's what we're meant to be here for,
right?
Everything's supposed to teachus something instead of you know
resisting, just pausing andsaying, What is this teaching
me?
And I always like have thisconversation, you know, kind of
with myself, universe, God.
Okay, what is this teaching me?
I'm gonna learn this because Idon't want this again.

SPEAKER_01 (19:11):
It's always that's how this is all done, right?
And sometimes I I talk, peopleare like, why does this keep
happening in my life?
And I said, you know, I'm like,I'm gonna give you a metaphor.
Like I walk around and I seepeople with their face and their
head down in their phones.
Like they walk around thestreets of Manhattan, wherever
the streets of El Paso, whereverthey are, they're driving,

(19:32):
they're not fully payingattention.
And I feel as though life isvery often trying to get your
attention and say, hey, lookhere, do this differently, be
aware, you know, that this ishappening, you know, fix this
kind of thing.
And if we don't get the messagebecause we're stuck in our
phones, what happens is theuniverse has to find other ways

(19:52):
to get our attention.
And it's funny because I alwayssay, you know, like, you see
those people walking around withone of those orthopedic boots
on, like a lot of times peoplelike fall off the sidewalk and
twist their ankle.
I'm like, they weren't payingattention.
I said, but now they have tobecause now they're wearing a
boot, you know, kind of thing.
But I feel so very often we getthe messages, but we get them

(20:13):
sometimes not exactly in the waythat we think they're coming.

SPEAKER_00 (20:17):
Absolutely, absolutely.
I and I have uh, you know, likejust last month, you know, I'm
going, going, going, teachingall these classes, and I knew, I
knew since like May that Ineeded rest.
Like my body was craving it tothe point that I had written
this article about Reiki forburnout, right?
And so I knew this, I'm like, Igotta rest, but there was just

(20:37):
nowhere in this schedule.
I had commitments all the way upto like November.
I'm like, what am I gonna do?
I had, you know, was coming froma place of yes.
So I said yes to all thesethings.
My schedule was completely full.
And so I knew this.
I'm like, I gotta, I would go topeople and they would work on
me, like, oh, your body'sfeeling rest.
You need rest.
I'm like, where can I put thisin?

(20:59):
And then in September, I went toteach at a place and I walked
in, and the uh aide that's theresaid, Oh my goodness, we have a
COVID outbreak.
I can't believe they didn't callyou and cancel.
And that was the first time Iever got COVID.
So I got COVID.
Then I ended up getting a sinusinfection, I had an allergic
reaction to the medication, thenI got bronchitis, and then I had

(21:21):
something that through all ofthis did something to a healthy
tooth that I had to get fixed.
But this is how many things hadto happen because I had that
energy of go, go, go, becausethat's my parents did it.
They they pushed, theypersevered.
You know, my grandparents werethat of that same energy, but it

(21:41):
was finally like I get it, and Istarted just clearing my
schedule.
Like, I got it.
I'm I'm gonna take care ofmyself, but I knew it and I just
couldn't find where I could letthings go because I had events
and this and that and clients.
And when you build something, you know, you don't want to go
and build it with your right andsmash it with your left hand,

(22:02):
you know.
You're like, oh, but it's neededbecause I really wasn't
listening.
And it's like, girl, I'm gonnaget you, we're gonna knock you
down.
You have to listen to your body, right?
You have to listen to your body.
But look at how many things hadto happen for me to like, I get
it, I'll take things off theschedule.

SPEAKER_01 (22:21):
That's funny.

SPEAKER_00 (22:23):
You know, so it's just but I also looked at it as
I was going, I know, I know, I'mtrying, I'm trying.
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (22:30):
But what happens is it's like the universe gives you
enough clues, and then they'relike, okay, we need to take
action.
And then, you know, they giveyou time, and then you're like,
okay, you've run out of rope.
We're stepping in.

SPEAKER_00 (22:41):
Yeah, it's like I gave you the article.
I've I've had like five, sixpeople tell you you need to
rest, you know, and it's like, let's keep going.
You need a sign or sign.
I need a sign.
That's what I tell my friend.
She always asks for, can yousend me some more cards?
I need a sign or sign, right?
So, well, when it's time for youto get an energetic tune-up or
you going to see someone else, what are some qualities you look

(23:04):
for in a Reiki practitioner orsomeone in the mystic arts?

SPEAKER_01 (23:08):
Yes.
Well, it is very important forme.
Like, I feel like I am groundingfor a lot of people.
Like, I am that person foreveryone.
And I need someone to be thatfor me.
So I need someone steady.
I need someone who has humility, someone who can bring clarity.
I'm not looking for a savior.
I'm just looking for someone toknow their work and to just be

(23:33):
of service.
And I feel as though I get likethis resonance in my bones.
Like I get a feeling like I justknow when someone is the right
person for me to work with.
Um, and and I feel as thoughsomething that I've really built
up over the years, which Iappreciate in other people, is a
sense of compassion and also asense of boundaries, like

(23:55):
somebody who really honors, youknow, my edges, their edges, and
you know, just the autonomy ofum what's happening in the
session.

SPEAKER_00 (24:07):
Over 20 years of experience in the mystic arts,
what advice would you givesomeone who's just entering this
profession?

SPEAKER_01 (24:15):
Begin with curiosity, not expectation.
So you need to keep askingyourself, like, how does this
serve me?
Does this feel true to me?
And building the foundation soit's it's connecting with your
body, with your mind, with youremotions, because energy it

(24:36):
magnifies what's already there.
So if you are trying to pushyourself into like, and also
like everybody has their own, like just like we all have our
own personalities and we haveour own proclivities and you
know, favorite things in theworld, everyone has their own
way of working.
So it's not like you know, ifyou go to a teacher and you're

(24:57):
like, oh, I think this teacher'sthe bomb, that's great.
But like that teacher has theirown rhythm of working.
Like, and you shouldn't be them.
You should be the most authenticversion of you.
So be gentle with yourself.
Find a circle of people that youtrust and and understand that
it's a growth process.

(25:17):
I've been doing this for likeessentially my whole life, and I
am still a student and I'm stilllearning, and I still love
showing up with a notebook and apen and sitting in the front row
and hearing what other peoplehave to say.
So never stop learning.

SPEAKER_00 (25:33):
Yeah.
That's what I love too.
It's just your and that's why Iconsider this a journey, and I
don't call myself a host becauseI'm learning too.
I'm coming on this journey, andthere are things that when
people come on, I'm genuinelysurprised by, and I just so
amazed with things, especiallylike card readings and when
things come through, and you'relike, oh my goodness.
And it's not getting the uhbeing validated for ego, it's

(25:57):
just being so surprised by it.
It's like, oh my goodness.
Uh, one of the best complimentsI've ever gotten.
Um, I went to, you know, movingto El Paso, you have an
opportunity to meet a lot ofvariety of people here.
And I connected with someone, and she was great, and we became
fast friends, and she came tointroduce me uh to her children.

(26:19):
And um, I went to shake thelittle girl's hand, and she went
to her mom and she went, and andmy friend goes, Can I tell her?
And she goes like this, and shesaid she loves meeting somebody
with the same energy as her.
Oh, wow.
The same energy, you know, asher.
And I thought, oh, how like wow, like this she recognized that.

SPEAKER_01 (26:42):
I love that because a lot of children would like
maybe think that but not say it.
She didn't feel confidentenough.

SPEAKER_00 (26:52):
And yeah, and that's what she said.
So yeah, so it's my little mylittle buddy there that and um
also with the charm readings, you know, I taught her how to do
charm readings as well.
So she was helping at the marketdoing charm readings, and she
was uh a natural at it, butyeah, that's just working on
that energy and having thatplayfulness and fun with it.

(27:13):
Let's just have fun, you know.
It's like just surprisingmyself.
Like that came true.
Wow, like wow, like who wouldhave guessed these
synchronicities?
I even had like an interestingway how I found out that was
something wrong with my toothbecause it showed no signs.
And it was through myhairdresser who just happened to
have a client that had the sameseries of health events as I did

(27:36):
from the COVID to you know thesinus infection.
And so you have, and I'm like,I'm blown away.
Like, what were the odds of megoing to that hairdresser and
I'm having a dentist appointmentfor a checkup the next week?
And she tells me this, you know, check that out because I had a
client that had COVID and had asinus infection, and she had a

(27:57):
healthy tooth and it had anabscess on it.
It's like, wow, but you'relistening and you were probably
I could have easily ignoredthat.
And I went into that dentist andI said, You have you have to
check this.
Like, I need you to x-ray.
This happened.
I I believe there could be acoincidence, and like, okay, and
they're bringing and dusting theequipment off, you know, because
they don't do it that often.
And there you go.

(28:17):
And so, and listening, that'sthe other thing, yeah, for sure.
With that, yeah, it's so whatbooks do you recommend?

SPEAKER_01 (28:25):
Okay, well, I'm a huge reader and I'm always
reading like multiple books at atime because I have a Gemini
moon and I am just a verycurious and restless person.
I'm always like, learn, learn,learn.
I'm really hungry to learn.
So I have books like so um I I Istarted with like so for Reiki,
I like The Five Foundations ofReiki by Monique Wagner.

(28:47):
It's just practical advice,step-by-step instructions that
are easy to follow.
Like, I liked how it really justconfirmed the interconnectedness
of everything.
I just really like that book.
But a book that was reallypowerful for me, which was more
of like a coaching type book, was a book by the author named
Tara Moore, M-O-H-R.
And the book is called PlayingBig.

(29:10):
And this book helped me face myinner critic.
It really helped me create spacefor my voice and let me live
more from possibility than froma place of fear.
It's saying, stop playing small, play big.
And it was, it's like I feellike I've read this book
multiple times and it's it'sextremely powerful.

(29:31):
I mean, I love the book TheArtist Way by Julia Cameron.
I think a million people haveread that book.
Um, but what I really like, thetarot books that I like, I'm a
huge fan.
I mean, there's a millionauthors out there.
I have a book out there too thatI would recommend.
But the books that I love, um,I'm gonna recommend Mary Greer.
I mean, there's so many booksthat I love.
If you are new to reading tarot, there's a book called 21 Ways to

(29:54):
Read a Tarot Card.
And it gives you all theseunique ways just to see the
cards, to interpret the cardsand helping readers find
personal meaning in them becauseI really feel like things start
connecting, things startclicking, things start coming
together when they have personalmeaning to you.

(30:15):
Which leads me another book thatshe wrote, which is like, who
are you in the tarot?
And it it was like a discoveryof like, what are your birth
cards?
What are your personal yearcards?
And a really deep dive into likeself-discovery.
And um like so I I feel likethere are a million ways um for
you, I mean there's a millionbooks out there, but having a

(30:37):
personal connection, whetherit's Reiki, whether it's tarot,
whether it's meditation, whetherit's yoga, whatever it is, you
will have more value.
You will gain so much more ifthere is a personal connection.
So ask what's my why?
Like why am I here?
Why am I doing this?
Why am I choosing to spend mytime doing this thing?
How is it changing me?

(30:58):
How is it building me up?
How is it making me a morepositive, you know, change
oriented person, whatever.
And that's more of it.
Like I feel like you know we allconnect to different books at
different times of our lifebecause of what we're going
through.
And um I love I love gettingbook referrals, but most
importantly, like what do youneed right now?

(31:18):
And um what would make that youknow and sometimes it's just a
matter of like just sit stillfor a minute.
Just take a time out and stopdoing and start connecting with
your you know your inner selfbecause the answers are not out
here.

SPEAKER_00 (31:34):
The answers are here.
Yeah yeah it reminded me of uhwhen you were telling the story
about the boardwalk and the thereaders that were on the
boardwalk um as a child you knowmy mother was very Bible based
uh color herself a Christian andshe would always go into the
bookstores and this is a childin the you know the latter 70s
and 80s I would have to comewith her and then I would kind

(31:57):
of sneak off and there I wouldbe in the astrology and the the
spiritual section as a kid justreading things and she would get
she'd find me like oh what areyou doing there?
No no no you know and then pullme away even though my mother
had abilities that she shut offand my grandmother did my
grandmother you know um was moreopen to it but she would always

(32:18):
pull me away but the thing of itis if you can't think of it sit
back and reflect what were youdoing as a child what what lit
you up so as a kid going intothat whole bookstore and I went
right over there.
I would go right there too thatis my section find me I'll spend
the day there's like a 10 yearold kid and you're reading and
it's just then you have thatculturally created self that no

(32:41):
no no we don't do that that'snot okay you know put that back
on the shelf we're going over tothe Christian section let's get
you a Bible you know so and thento shame a lot of people and
then what happens is people findout like they they are they are
taught from a young age thatthis is not okay.

SPEAKER_01 (32:58):
This is not like work that people do in the
world.
Maybe it's kind of considered tobe you know forbidden or thing
like we don't do this like whyare you over here?
Like stop it you know and butexactly and then you shut it off
because you're like oh it's badand and I mean I've had clients
that I've worked with andthey're like it it freaked me
them out a little bit that Iworked with tarot because

(33:19):
they're like we were always toldit was it was it was a bad
thing.
And I was like well that's astory and you know we can that's
an old story let's get a newstory.
Like is that the story that thatstill aligns with your thinking
or is there a new story thatyou'd like and and then the same
client by the time we were doneworking together she owned a
whole bunch of decks and she waslike telling me about them.

SPEAKER_00 (33:40):
I was like look at you yeah yeah so it's always
good to reflect if you can'tthink of it what lit you up as a
child what what brought you joyand then through there's a start
and then you'll get thatconfidence to you know and it's
amazing that the books pop up uhwhen you re when you really need
them.

SPEAKER_01 (33:57):
Yeah but that's like a huge part of my work like I
feel as though people don't knowwho they are in the world
because people that theyconsider to be important their
their parents their grandparentsteachers you know maybe
religious figures that are bigin their life told them don't do
that.
That's not good.
So then they they they stophaving passions they stop having

(34:18):
things that are interest to themand they forget like they aren't
rooted to anything.

SPEAKER_00 (34:24):
So I'm like okay who's making your decisions for
you right and it's harder tolike especially like my my
mother you know I'll go and dothis and she's like well yoga's
bad and this is bad.
So then I went and I got trainedin uh Christian yoga and then
she's like well that's not goodenough and then I modified my
practice and then I startedbeginning to kind of tweak

(34:44):
myself according to her and youknow even the card readings okay
well I'll do angel readings andI'll go with Cal Gray because
it's more you know an alignmentwith that.
And then finally it's like whatam I doing?
You know I was trying to add allof these things to make it and I
remember when I got my um yogaChristian certification and she

(35:05):
was like I don't understand howsaying some Bible verses while
you're doing this is making adifference.
And she wrote that on myFacebook page.

SPEAKER_01 (35:12):
Well I feel very very fortunate that my family
has been so supportive and neverjudgmental and always open like
I feel so very lucky because Iknow that a lot of people have
not had it so easy.

SPEAKER_00 (35:29):
Yes yes yes so that's just a and someone maybe
going through that right nowjust know try to find that
authentic because if you'recalled to it then it it's meant
for you to do so what uhmodalities other modalities do
you offer do you offer classestrainings?

SPEAKER_01 (35:45):
Yeah so you know as I mentioned my grandmother was a
teacher my mother was a teachermy grandmother's mother was like
I come from a long line ofteachers and um so I felt like I
really wanted to learn it.
Like I feel so comfortable beingin a student position but lately
I am teaching more.
I also have a mentorshipprogram.
I also have a a 12 week how tostop being a people pleaser

(36:09):
program because that's a hugeyou know that that this is kind
of like what this all roots inbut um my work is tarot it is
numerology it is palmistry it ischarm readings I work with
crystals and I work with mycoaching modalities and it's
funny because I became a coachin in 2018 and before I coached
I used to just like read forpeople I used to just like just

(36:31):
talk at them.
And now my readings have changedso much my readings are more of
a conversation it's more of likewell what do you want to happen
here or how's that working foryou you know kind of thing like
I feel as though people come toreadings and they want me to
give them answers.
My job is to I I consider myselfthe bringer of the light.

(36:51):
I shine the light on what'shappening I'm like I'm gonna set
the stage I said you're gonnaneed to act in this scene you're
gonna need to figure out how youwant this scene to play out so
to speak I can't tell you toleave the relationship.
I can't tell you to take the jobI can't tell you to hop on a
plane and move to anothercountry it has to be your
decision because in the end ifit doesn't work out it has to be

(37:14):
a decision that you made not onethat like some tarot reader that
met you you know 15 minutesbefore your reading made for
you.
But I I what I really love is umI created my charm journals and
excuse I created my charm kitsand then what I decided was
charm kits are great and and Ido have charm lessons and I

(37:35):
teach people how to do it andI've taught some charm classes
but then I created my charmjournals um and I sometimes
offer workshops and you treatsbut I I just release this fall
charm journal there's 14 charmsevery week I pick a charm that
we dig into I offer up somesymbolism and meaning behind it.
I offer up prompts and how towork with it you can get that on

(37:56):
um and Amazon but I also have aYouTube channel where all the
stuff that I do is on there butI I am involved in workshops and
retreats I have an ongoing classum that I do every year.
It's a one year program it'scalled the alignment experience
and what we do is we likebasically we go through your
astrology your mymology your youknow your tarot cards everything

(38:20):
and we get you into alignment.
By the time I'm done with youyou will know exactly who you
are and what you are meant to doin this world.
So I do a lot of differentthings but I'm also I do a lot
of parties and events I I'm allover the place.
I feel like my Gemini moon onceagain I like to do a lot of
different things.
So I write I I do readings Iwork with people but I've also

(38:42):
begun to be like okay there hasto be a pause there has to be a
little space for me becausethat's where I kind of get to
water and sunshine myself so Ican keep giving at the rate that
I do.
Beautiful so where can we findyou online or in person?
Sure well I have my website ismy name so it's dinabarron.com

(39:06):
all my stuff is there but I alsohave Instagram where I put a lot
of stuff and you can go to mylink tree and see a whole bunch
of stuff too I've got you knowvideos on YouTube.
Everything is under my name soI'm on Facebook as Dina Barron
I'm on YouTube as Dina BarronI'm on Instagram as Dina Barron
and um and you can always emailme at Dina at Dina Barron.

(39:26):
Perfect.

SPEAKER_00 (39:27):
Well that ends the first part of our journey I'm
gonna guide you into the secondpart which are questions from
Ricky students and fromlisteners.

SPEAKER_01 (39:33):
So here we go number one I am interested in your
charm reading can you tell meabout your unique charm reading
system yes so my charm readingsystem evolved from a desire to
take this spiritual thing butmake it more simple what

(39:54):
happened was there's a umthere's a tea salon here in New
York City called Alice's Teacup.
It's like an Alice in Wonderlandthemed tea salon and I I do
readings for them there.
I do parties I do events and Igot hired to do like a five year
old kids party and I was like ohmy God I'm like I can't bring my
tarot deck to a five year old'sbirthday party like I can't let
them pull like the death card orthe devil.

(40:15):
I'm like I got to do somethingdifferent.
So I mean they they were like wedon't care to show up and do
readings kind of thing.
So I ran down to like thefashion district and I started
buying like all these differentlike buttons and shapes and
different objects and I went tothe party and I started just
reading the charms that thesekids pulled and anyway that

(40:38):
evolved into me creating anactual charm kit.
Like so here's my charm kit andthis charm kit this my charm kit
here has a whole bunch of charmsin it.
As you can see these are allitems that you've seen before
like for example this is a spoonum and this is a a bicycle uh

(41:00):
and this is a a ladder you knowkind of thing like there's
nothing in here this is there'sa uh a skipper's wheel uh like
there's and all of them havethis little uh hook here that if
I wanted to put it on mynecklace that's why I call them
charms because they can all fiton your necklace.
So basically how the charms workis that um I I like to I I put

(41:23):
it like usually in a bigger dishbut I'm just showing it to you
here but I I don't like to lookyou don't pick the charm the
charm picks you and we'reworking with the symbolism of
the archetype the themes kind oflike what comes up so we we
don't look and I'll developcharming for you right now.
So we don't look and oh thisisn't so I pulled a charm can

(41:48):
you see what that is okay sobasically what we do is um and
you can you can pair the charmwith a card for more information
but I just ask a couple ofsimple questions and so everyone
is going to come up with adifferent answer so I'm Tracy
I'm gonna do a charm meeting foryou so here's the first question

(42:09):
for you what is this item lookslike a crescent moon a crescent
moon excellent I agree um so myquestion to you is imagine like
I never have seen a moon beforeI don't know what it is I don't
know what it does like what isthe purpose what is the function
like what is a moon in the worldlike what is the symbol and

(42:30):
you've been chosen out of allthe people in the world to
explain to me what is a crescentmoon like what does a crescent
moon mean like after I'm donetalking to you I will have some
understanding you don't have togive me like a full deep down
like tome of a vision but likegive me a few sentences how
would you describe this well umit probably is a waxing moon uh

(42:51):
maybe positive thinking positiveaction um gosh you know it's
bringing a little light into thedarkness uh new beginnings maybe
life cycles uh hope that youknow progress excellent
excellent so I know the answerto this but this is my question

(43:12):
have you ever seen a moon likein in the world like and what
like so like what is yourexperience with a crescent moon
I just am always just so takenback at the beauty of the moon
in the sky you know whether itis um fully exposed and bringing
light even if the kind of cloudscome in front of it in some way

(43:35):
you're able to see it but it'salways just really you know I've
always looked up and like oh themoon and I remember as a kid I'd
my mother would drive in the carand I'd be in the back and I
would see the moon I'm like it'sfollowing me the moon's
following me I love that so it'spositive and happy and life
bringing so how are you Tracypersonally like the moon like

(44:01):
the crescent moon what youdescribed well one of the things
we know is consistent the sunrises right the moon's in the
sky so I would think just kindof someone that you can rely on
right um I try to be bright indarkness try to see that hope
within there um trying to bepositive and just like being a

(44:24):
human being there are timeswhere I get a little down but
try to pull myself back up.

SPEAKER_00 (44:28):
So um that's kind of how I looked at it.
Perfect that's perfect answer.
Kind of like a compass in a waywell we're gonna go that way you
know but also too the greatthing about the moon it changes.
So it's not I like to as youmentioned do a lot of things so
I don't like to stick withsomething too long.
So I like that it's constantlychanging waxing and waning

(44:51):
things like that.

SPEAKER_01 (44:52):
Wonderful you give excellent answers okay and I
have one last question for you.
So imagine this moon can talkand it came to our reading it
came to this session todayspecifically with the intention
of giving you a message a veryspecific very personal very

(45:14):
clarifying message for you andthis message it's not long I
mean it could fit like on afortune cookie type message what
is it that the moon thiscrescent moon and all the things
that you've shared about it wantyou to want you to know today I
would think cycle transformationjust the the constant change I'm

(45:34):
right now is like I shared withyou after getting better
changing how my business lookschanging how I'm approaching
things at the ability where Idon't have to say yes to
everything that I can bring alittle bit discernment uh bring
in a little mystery things likethis is kind of the unknown me
letting go of some of thesethings what's going to happen
right you're used to theseconsistent contracts and things

(45:57):
and just an invitation to morebalance duality uh coming in uh
to my life so that's kind ofwhere I see the the the crescent
moon coming in perfect so I youknow I know that so your your
reader said they were interestedin the charm reading and this is
how it works.
So my charm kits have you knowabout 80 80 or so charms in it

(46:20):
and all of the charms are onesyou know and the cool thing is
it's and and everybody's likeI've I've had people um say well
where are all the directionslike where are all the charm
meetings and the thing iseverybody has a different
experience like the like I'vehad clients that you know pull
the bicycle and said oh I felloff the bike once when I was
younger I don't like a bike orI've had someone be like oh my

(46:42):
bike's my favorite thing in theworld like so it's like
everybody knows what a bike isbut your personal experience is
what I'm interested in.
And so what I do is we pull acharm and we use the the themes
and the meanings and I want todig into what it means to you so
we can get a personal messagefor you.
So this was what makes thesystem unique.

(47:04):
It's like I designed these to umand I sometimes offer prompts
and questions like I have in myjournal but I want to invite you
to like to live with the messageto be the message and it's not
about like what I'm telling youit's it's like this is a message
for ongoing growth for you.
Like so for example that'smessage you're like don't book
yourself so much you know makesure that there's space you know

(47:26):
shine that light be aware and soI feel as though like when
people say to me like how do Iread the cards I don't want to
do it wrong or how do I do thisI don't want to do it wrong what
if there was no wrong like whatif the only thing was you just
needed to learn and connect withit and have it be the best
experience for you.
And that's what I feel as thoughwe are looking for here.

(47:46):
In my charms I encourage you tohave a personal experience so
you can have your own growth atyour own pace and have um new
perspectives enter you know yourpicture so that's my charms in a
nutshell and I find when I'veused charms uh at events it
seems to you know you have stillthat little stigma with tarot

(48:09):
they're like oh I don't want todo this but then they're curious
with the charms well this isinteresting I've never seen this
before well let's have fun let'slet's here's a little spoon
scoop it out let's find yourstory and like well you know
what can be so wrong with itwith the ladder what can be so
wrong with a bicycle you knowlike we can talk about this it's
not like because if like if iflike somebody pulls like the

(48:31):
Hyrophant or the temperance cardlike what the heck is that I'm
like okay now I have to explainthat to them but I don't have to
explain what these littlesymbols mean.

SPEAKER_00 (48:40):
It just brings us down to a more basic and even
with that death card I'll getpeople that say I'm worried
you're gonna say something badto me I'm like I I'm not gonna
do that.
So they see that death card andlike oh no or the tower oh my
goodness so you don't have anyof that I know for a while I was
struggling when I was very earlyon with card readings with the

(49:01):
writer deck because it had thepentacles see how that
culturally created itself wellthat was connected to that right
so I got myself another deckthat didn't have that so I could
do the story but you don'trealize until you face these
things like oh my God that's notthat's money.

SPEAKER_01 (49:20):
Right.
And I always have my I speak twolanguages I speak English and I
speak tarot.
Yeah I said so if there'sanything here that makes you
uncomfortable I said I've beenwith my deck for like 30 years.
I said there is I can tell youanything you need to know death
is not death the tower is notthe end I'm like there are you
know there's upsides anddownsides just like anything in

(49:42):
life.
So let's like not get ahead ofourselves and let's just let's
talk about it you know kind ofthing.

SPEAKER_00 (49:49):
Number two, you offer a unique program alignment
program that is a one year longprogram.
How can your program helpsomeone align with their purpose
and find their way home tothemselves?

SPEAKER_01 (50:01):
Well my uh my alignment experience program I
offered it for the first time in2025 because 2025 is a number
nine universal year and I feltas though um so the nine years
about ending a cycle and I feltas though we are ending a cycle
this year and for those that areinterested in kind of being

(50:23):
feeling complete feeling wholeand feeling ready to move on to
like a new cycle I felt asthough it was the perfect time
to do that.
And as I've worked and I and Ionly let like a handful of women
into this program because Ireally give them so much time
attention and love.
And I don't want to water thatdown or have it be less than I

(50:45):
really want it to be.
But what I do is I go into everyarea like every modality that I
work with.
So if you are confused aboutyour life purpose if you are
questioning who you are whyyou're here you know what's your
strengths and your weaknesseslike we will hammer every single
piece of this out we will gothrough your tarot we will go

(51:06):
through values we will gothrough finding your inner
leader we will look at your lifepath we will look at you know
your attitude your personalityyour personal year number we
will go through every singlething.
So when you are done you willhave clarity you will have
confidence you will haveenergetic alignment and a deeper
sense of how to move forward inlife from the center of who you

(51:29):
are and um it's not just aprogram it's a container to help
you return home to yourself.
It's it helps you trust yourinner compass and move with
intuition and carry youralignment into every single day.
And um so I worked 2025 out tobe in alignment with the number

(51:49):
nine year 2026 is going to be anumber one year.
So the 2026 version of thealignment experience is going to
be a little bit differentbecause we're working with one
energy.
And if you don't know what thatis then you should definitely
reach out and find out aboutthis because once again I'm only
offering this to a handful ofwomen that really want to take

(52:11):
this to the next level and andlive a life of courage and
confidence and empowerment.

SPEAKER_00 (52:18):
Wonderful and where can they find more information
on that?
Do you have a website?

SPEAKER_01 (52:23):
Yes on my website I mean if you put in like the the
alignment experience and my nameit will pop up I think it's like
dinabarron.com slash thealignment experience but there
might be a few dashes in there.
So um you can Google it and ifnot just email me or you know DM
me and I'll I'll get that toyou.

SPEAKER_00 (52:41):
Perfect.
Number three you offer a varietyof modalities out of all of your
modalities you do which one isyour true passion?

SPEAKER_01 (52:51):
You know what this to me feels like asking who your
favorite child is it's a littlebit of a trick question.
And um and and you know althoughmy grandmother introduced me to
astrology and that was like themagic that opened everything up
I have to say that I do lovetarot.

(53:11):
I mean I love tarot with all myheart I will never stop wanting
to learn and work with the tarotbut the charms the charms hook
me the charms are opened upsomething in me and I feel as
though you know tarot speaks instories and in symbols and it
allows me to hold space forsomeone's inner landscape what's

(53:33):
hidden what wants to emerge andwhat's ready but the charms
bring that energy into thephysical realm and making it
invisible making what'sinvisible more real, more alive.
So together they let me guidesomeone from insight to
embodiment and you know you canreally see that message and and
then carry it with you.

(53:53):
So I feel as though to be honestall of my modalities support and
complement each othernumerology, palmistry, coaching
they all add layers andrichness.
But tarot and charms that'swhere I lose myself a little bit
that's where I feel really inflow where I see the bridge you

(54:14):
know between the inner world andthe physical world most clearly
so um thank you for trying tomake me pick one but I had to
pick pick at least two and Istill feel a little guilty about
my other modalities because Ilove them very much as well.

SPEAKER_00 (54:31):
Very good.
Well that was our last questionas we've been talking is there
something that you uh maybeforgot to share or something you
would like to share with ourlisteners the floor is yours.

SPEAKER_01 (54:43):
Oh well thank you I mean I I talked a bit about um
my alignment experience I alsohave a a 12-week program called
the Happiness Reset which is adesigned you know for energy
energetically aware women um whoare done with people pleasing
and they're ready to live boldlyand authentically and these are
like a this is a 12-week programonce again we do dig into a

(55:04):
little bit of the numerology andthe tarot and everything and
coaching and it's a little bitmore kind of like in and out so
to speak but other than that Ifeel as though um what really is
important is to give people theopportunity to know that like
any change that they want tomake in the world is available

(55:26):
to them.
All they need to do is to beconsistent and to have the
desire you know to do it.
I feel as though and you youshouldn't want to do it like I
know how you got involved inangel readings and you were
reading you know you're doing avery specific type of yoga for
your mother.
It's like it has to be for youjust like anything like if
somebody doesn't want to quitsmoking if they're doing it for

(55:46):
someone else somebody doesn'twant to lose weight if they're
doing it for someone else ifthey are really willing to do
the thing it has to come fromwithin so follow your passion
and trust yourself that I meanthere is no like oh I'm late
it's all about you're right ontime.
You're right exactly where youshould be and trust the timing
and have fun with it.
