SPEAKER_01 (00:21):
This is Ready Set
Reiki, a podcast about Reiki,
the universal energy life force, from the curious beginner to the
seasoned master teacher, welcoming all systems, all
litages, and all levels.
Reiki is a journey and not adestination.
And on this Ready Set Reikijourney, I refer to myself as a
guide rather than a host.
So I'm Tracy C.
Wright, and this is Ready SetReiki.
SPEAKER_00 (00:41):
Hello, Reiki family.
Reiki blessings to you one andall.
Welcome.
This is Ready Set Reiki.
I am your guide, Tracy C.
Wright.
Today, an unusual journey.
Your guest here is me, Tracy C.
Wright.
And I wanted to take a moment totalk about an experience, an
opportunity that I uh wasprivileged to have, and that is
(01:02):
going to the ICRT Reiki retreat.
Now, this is something that I'vebeen waiting quite a long time
for, and the timing wasn'tworking.
And then finally, everythingjust aligned beautifully.
Now I will have a guest on inDecember who I met in the
shuttle on the way to thisretreat.
(01:24):
But let me tell you a little bitabout this.
So maybe you're a curiousbeginner, maybe you're a
seasoned master teacher.
And as you are going throughthis wonderful landscape of
Reiki, you might have comeacross something, or maybe you
haven't, called theInternational Center of Reiki
training, Reiki.org.
(01:44):
When I got connected with this, everything shifted and changed
for me.
I was able to just reallyresonate with the manuals.
They were evidence-based, thingswere cited, uh, everything in an
all one.
Now, my background, I began myjourney in Azui Rahihho.
And through the lineage, passingfrom teacher to teacher, you
(02:07):
created your own manual.
So it was wonderful to haveeverything all together,
honoring a Zui Sensei, Dr.
Hitashi, and Madame Takata, butat the same time bringing in a
little bit of twist of the holyfire.
Also, through the ICRT is AnimalReiki and Corona Reiki.
(02:27):
And the great thing about thiscommunity is that you can go
forward and go on to what theyhave as an ICRT program where
you uh basically are immersed inReiki and you have a mentor and
you go through the program.
And after three to four years, you come out as a licensed Reiki
(02:47):
master teacher.
Now, what is this all about?
What does this mean?
Well, what does it mean to you?
For me, it was having a code ofethics, right?
A standard.
It is setting the bar here.
And what I love about the ICRTis that all of their teachers,
(03:08):
everyone's on the same page.
They are priced exactly thesame.
So as a student, when you cometo this, you're able to choose a
teacher based on the feeling, the energy, if you resonate with
that teacher versus thatparticular teacher being$50
cheaper.
(03:29):
And I love that there's nocompetition.
It is an absolute community herewith all of the teachers, loving
and supportive of each other.
But every year they have the endof August, Labor Day weekend,
the Ricky Retreat.
And at the Ricky Retreat, youare immersed in the energy and
the experiences.
(03:50):
Now don't look at the price tagwhen you get the price of it.
This is including your uh room,it's including your meals three
times a day, and also you needto look at the experiences that
you are receiving during thattime.
Not only are you uh experiencingmusic, Donald T.
(04:13):
McManus playing, and ChristyValentine playing uh her
mandolin, you're also gettinginformation, relevant
information, updates on thelegislation, uh, you know, uh
little presentations on uhimposter syndrome.
And you're also receivingexperience as well.
(04:34):
Just on Friday alone, five Reikiexperiences during that day and
getting a boost or an upgradefrom William Rand himself.
You have the opportunity in themornings to get up and do yoga,
then go off to breakfast.
But it's a full day from 6:45 inthe morning if you choose, all
(04:56):
the way to nine o'clock.
And there's also fun things aswell, like a Reiki dance, doing
Reiki shares, but you also havethat ability if you want to
venture off and just explore thegrounds.
So going to Phoenix Airport ifyou fly, and going down to
Sedona.
And so this has been a veryfascinating and amazing and
(05:18):
wonderful opportunity.
I had just gotten over gettingsick.
And even though you know I hadall these different experiences,
I was still kind of experiencingsome sinus issues with it.
But it was well worth the time.
I got to connect with many ofthe teachers who I have been
(05:38):
blessed and honored to come onReady Set Reiki.
So it was lovely to actually seethem in person, give them a hug,
and get a picture with them.
So if you are interested, whether again you're that
curious beginner or seasonmaster teacher, look into it,
see if it's something thatresonates with you and explore.
(06:00):
You know, my brought my verybest friend, my college roommate
with me.
She was the reason that I uhtook the path of Reiki.
She was the one that whisperedit into my ears many years ago
when I wasn't ready.
And then when it circled aroundagain, I went for it and it has
completely changed my life.
(06:21):
I never would have imagined fiveyears ago, 10 years ago, that
Reiki would take me in thisdirection.
So check it out, InternationalCenter of Reiki, Reiki.org.
Even going on to look at thevast availability of resources.
If you do not have a Reikiwaiver, it's available to you
(06:43):
there, the Reiki grid andinformation on just different
updates with Reiki and also tothe Reiki News magazine, which
comes out quarterly.
In this fall uh magazine, inthis edition, you can find my uh
article, Reiki for Burnout.
(07:03):
And also in that same edition, you can read about the updates
with Azui Sensei, about hisresume.
Now, if you listen back toJustin B.
Stein, he talks about that, howhe brought this to light.
So it's a very exciting uhinformation that brought forward
because it really validates someof the information that Madam
(07:24):
talked about when she taught.
So we're able to back things upwith proof.
One of the things that shetalked about in her teachings
was that Azui Sensei was in theUnited States.
And Justin B.
Stein, right on the podcasthere, talked about yes, he was
in the United States.
So this is something if you wantto explore, be in a community of
(07:47):
others, of like-mindedindividuals, get yourself a
little bit of rest and kind ofexperiences the vortex.
And even though you may havenever been there like I was, or
maybe you've been there severaltimes, each time it's a unique
experience.
So I hope this gives you alittle bit of information that
you can look into it and decidefor yourself that this is
(08:10):
something right for you.
The International Center ofReiki also has a retreat in the
spring, and it's often in uh theeastern part, and then in the
fall, same time that sameweekend every year.
Also, things with there if youchoose to fly.
You can rent the car to go drivedown to Sedona, or you can take
(08:33):
the shuttle.
So there is a wonderful shuttlethat can take you down.
It's about, I believe, two hoursfrom the airport to uh Sedona
Mango.
So if you have any questions, look on Reiki.org and I hope
this gives you a little bit ofinformation.
But it was an amazing time, andI really enjoyed myself, and I
(08:55):
look forward to attending thenext one.
I was able to about three yearsago attend the virtual.
So know if you physically can'tmake it to Sedona, there is an
offering of an online retreat.
You're able to watch themajority of the itinerary.
The only exception is Donald T.
McManus's music.
(09:18):
Oh, and I also forgot too.
There is a um a showcase, alittle talent show that you can
do.
So they bring a little bit offun into it as well.
So check it out, reiki.org, oryou can reach out to me, ready
setraiki feather sister.
(09:38):
