(01:52):
others heal and involve in thebody, mind, and spirit.
So let's give a warm ready setReiki welcome to my wonderful
guest, George.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
All right, well, Georgia, well, tell us a little bit about
yourself.
I mean, amazing since 1997.
(02:12):
I you have just so much wisdomin there to share with us, and I
can't wait to hear it.
SPEAKER_01 (02:18):
Thank you.
Well, my story is that um in1993 I went through a divorce
and I was in a very, very, verybad place.
And somehow I ended up movingfrom New Jersey to California,
which I really didn't understanduntil later, that um California
was a place I could heal myself.
(02:39):
So I moved to California and Itook a little Reiki class at a
little metaphysical store, andthat was in 1993, and I loved
it, and it was the beginning ofmy path.
And I continued with Reiki, butI didn't get my master for a few
years.
And um I had a lot of healing todo.
(03:00):
Reiki was a big part of it.
I I can say that Reiki andastrology was a big part of it.
And um when I became a master, Istarted teaching classes in my
home.
And then I moved down to SanDiego, and um eventually I was
able to rent an office, and wehad a huge classroom, and um we
(03:24):
used to have Reiki circles, andwe'd have three, three, you
know, massage tables going, andI had people playing, you know,
crystal bowls.
I mean, it was awesome.
We had we had a wonderful time.
A lot of people got to do Reikiand learn it.
And unfortunately, uh COVID hitin 2020 and California got
(03:48):
locked down completely.
We were we were so I lost thespace and I lost everything.
So at that point, I decided, well, I'm gonna just go online
and and and I've since moved toFlorida and my practice is
online.
I do classes online.
Sure.
Um I don't I don't do healingsonline because I send out Reiki
(04:09):
for free.
And I have a group of onlinehealers who will put their, you
know, the requests on theirReiki table.
You know, they have an altar, sothey'll they'll they'll give so
I I maintain that it's perfect,it's 100% free.
Um I do classes online, youknow, when people ask.
And um I've been focusing on uhastrology and tarot.
(04:33):
Um, the reason, and and I wantto say the reason that I don't
do Reiki in person is I'm notallowed to, despite the fact
that I've been a master for 25years.
Uh, you need a massage licensein Florida for some strange
reason.
I don't know.
SPEAKER_00 (04:50):
You must encourage
who it is because I was gonna
mention we've had a coupleguests on who are from Florida.
SPEAKER_01 (04:55):
Yeah, yeah, it's
very, it's very discouraging for
me because it's it's such awonderful uh modality and it
doesn't do any harm, you know.
You can't harm anyone.
I mean, it's just a matter of Idon't know what they think.
Maybe they think you know, you're gonna molest people.
I don't I don't know what theircrazy thinking is, but and I and
(05:16):
I know there's other states withthe same thing now.
California, um they allow it,and they actually passed a state
law that you could doalternative healing as long as
you don't diagnose and treat, you know, like a doctor, pretend
you're a doctor.
Yeah, but Florida, no, and it'sa shame because Florida could
use Reiki.
SPEAKER_00 (05:37):
Sure, sure.
We have she was uh she became ananimal uh chaplain, and that's
how she got around it.
SPEAKER_03 (05:43):
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (05:44):
And you can to um
reiki.org, they show the updates
and uh uh there is a state thathas something coming up with
that.
SPEAKER_01 (05:54):
We send emails, we
send they've been they've been
attacking it for years.
Like even when I first startedout, they wanted to license it.
Yes, which I thought wasridiculous because why?
You know, I mean what why do youneed to license this?
And and who's gonna decide, youknow, who's gonna be licensed.
unknown (06:10):
Right.
SPEAKER_01 (06:11):
And I was in the I
was in the hospital uh about a
year and a half ago.
I had surgery, and I asked everynurse, gee, have you heard of
Reiki?
No, it's that one I was in foreight days, so one nurse had
actually heard of it and wasinterested in it, and and that
to me is sad because inCalifornia, every hospital
(06:32):
offers Reiki.
Um, they have like some of mystudents have been hospital
volunteers, even the VA inCalifornia offers alternative
healing.
So I think that's terrible, it'sa terrible loss.
And I probably could have healedquicker if they had sent in some
Reiki people, you know.
Sure.
So yeah, it's sad.
(06:53):
But anyway, so that's where I'mat.
So I'm online.
Um, I have a website, it'swww.ravenhawk tarot.com or my
name, www.georgavlayhouse.com.
SPEAKER_00 (07:08):
Beautiful.
So we're here to talk about theReiki.
So when the Reiki came into yourlife, did Reiki find you or did
you find Reiki?
SPEAKER_01 (07:18):
I think you found
me.
I mean, I I was going through uha divorce, I was in a very dark
place.
And I had, you know, in my past,I had done traditional therapy
and and I and I just for mepersonally, and not for anybody
else, but it just a waste oftime.
(07:39):
And I just happened to startgoing to metaphysical stores,
you know, because in Californiaback in the 90s, there was one
on every corner.
unknown (07:46):
Right.
SPEAKER_01 (07:47):
You know, there were
so many of them.
And I started going and I metsome wonderful, wonderful
people, and you know, we weformed groups and did things
together.
And and then somebody just said,Oh, you want to take a Reiki
class?
I said, sure, what's that?
You know, and so I did, and Itook Reiki one and two, and I I
(08:07):
loved it.
And you know, for me, it's a lotof what healed me.
It's a lot of it.
It was very instrumental in inhealing my issues, and not that
anybody's ever a hundred percenthealed, but you know, as much,
you know, it it got me over thehump, I guess that would be a
way to put it.
SPEAKER_00 (08:28):
And you know, you're
also you uh had said before,
before I cut you off, tarotchoking an astrologer.
Um, and so do you feel that theReiki might have helped you with
your astrology and tarotconsultation?
Um, yeah, of course.
SPEAKER_01 (08:46):
I mean, I think that
Reiki, um, when you're given
attunement, one of the thingsthat you do is you opening the
chakra system.
And that includes the third eye, which is your psychic chakra.
And I think I got definitely gotmore psychic doing Reiki.
And and especially when you getto level three, there's it's
like a a very spiritual thing.
SPEAKER_00 (09:09):
Sure.
SPEAKER_01 (09:09):
Like Reiki one is
pretty much physical, the
attunement and and the theconsequences of the attunement.
Reiki two is emotional, but Ithink Reiki III is spiritual and
it moves you up, it opens yourcrown chakra and it moves you
up, you know, spiritually.
And uh, I think that made a hugedifference.
And my purpose in life has beensince I started seeing clearly
(09:37):
um to help other people to havethat experience.
And I believe that it's it's amulti-layered thing, it's not
just you know, you go to atherapist for 20 years and
you're healed, or you know, itbut it's it's it's multi-leveled
and astrology was a big part ofit for me and Reiki, I think.
(09:59):
Um, yeah.
And then so I just made it mymission to help other people.
SPEAKER_00 (10:04):
Beautiful, and thank
you for doing that.
SPEAKER_01 (10:06):
Thank you.
SPEAKER_00 (10:08):
So, over 25 years of
experience, and you lived in
California and now in Florida.
As you've gone along on thisjourney, what is a common
misconception about Reiki thatyou hear from people?
SPEAKER_01 (10:23):
That it's um I don't
know if I can fully say this,
but the main thing that I'veheard is that the Bible tells
people not to do it.
Right.
That's that's a that's a hub.
But I believe that Jesus was thehealer.
That was his primary business,um, aside from a philosopher.
(10:46):
And he went around and healedpeople, and a lot of what he did
was healing people, you know, and so I don't see any reason
why we shouldn't have that powerto do it.
unknown (10:56):
Right.
SPEAKER_00 (10:57):
That's one I often
get as well, too.
SPEAKER_01 (10:59):
Oh, good.
Okay.
I didn't want I didn't want togo out on a limb on that one,
right?
SPEAKER_00 (11:03):
Right.
That's that's usually a big onewith that.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (11:07):
Yeah, that's what I
what I've encountered.
SPEAKER_00 (11:09):
Right.
So, as a Reiki master, astrologer, tarot consultant,
you're helping people bringwisdom and clarity into your
lives.
You help them find balance, youhelp them empower.
But what has been a challenge orstruggle that you have faced in
your own healing journey?
SPEAKER_01 (11:27):
Myself.
Just, you know, your yourself, your the things that you bring
from, you know, your childhood, your, you know, I was married
for 17 years, and those thosethings that, you know, the
negative things that you bringwith you are the are the
challenge.
And and I think what Reiki does, and I've and I've heard it
(11:48):
described, it's like a riverflowing.
And as it flows, it brings upall the the sediments and the
and the and the dirt.
But then when it stops flowing, you know, it that stuff is
moved.
And that's what Reiki does.
It it goes through your chakrasystem, clears it out, and a lot
of stuff comes up.
(12:09):
You know, you get a healingcrisis.
It could be emotional, um, itcould be physical, you know, and
or it could be spiritual or allthree, you know.
And um those are the things youhave to fight against, you know.
And the other thing I think isthat when I started in night, my
Reiki won in 1993, peoplethought we were wearing the uh
(12:32):
aluminum hat.
It's like it's like, you know, people thought you were crazy.
Yeah, my own my own familythought I was crazy.
And um now Reiki is everywhere.
You know, I even encountered awoman uh who called me for
actually one of tarot reading, and she was doing Reiki in Saudi
(12:54):
Arabia, where she would havebeen jailed.
Yeah, if they found out she wasdoing it underground, so it's
pretty much everywhere now.
That was not so when I started.
SPEAKER_00 (13:05):
Right.
Yeah, it certainly has thatcertainly has changed since
1993.
Yeah, yeah.
So at this point, 25 years, youstarted in 1993 in your journey,
all the things that you do.
When it is time for you to getan energetic tune-up, what are
some of the qualities that youlook for in a Reiki
(13:25):
practitioner?
Or since you've taught so manystudents, what are some
qualities that you think arereally excellent qualities of a
Reiki master teacher?
SPEAKER_01 (13:37):
Um, I've I've
attuned several and taught
several.
Um, a lot of people just want toget the title, they want us to
be a master, you know.
But there are those few whoreally, you know, take take it
away and they do something withit, you know, and those are the
ones that I think are um thatmake me happy, you know.
(14:02):
A lot of them just sort of go bythe wayside, but there are those
who stay dedicated.
Like I have some Californiastudents that I left my practice
to, and they're they're doingawesome stuff, you know.
So yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (14:16):
It's wonderful.
Is there anything that you areseeing nowadays that you would
pause and say, ooh, that'sthat's a red flag, something
that you can warn our listenersto if they are looking for that
Reiki practitioner or Reikiteacher?
SPEAKER_01 (14:33):
Oh, yes, definitely.
I think that it's very possibleand and and and acceptable to do
Reiki distance, you know, to doattunements distance.
But I think it should be aone-on-one thing.
Like I don't think you shouldjust, you know, find go to
YouTube, find a video, and okay, now I'm a Reiki master.
(14:56):
And I see that a lot.
SPEAKER_02 (14:57):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (14:58):
You know, where
people become a Reiki master in
one day, they can't you can'tpossibly do that.
It's just it's impossible.
You need the experience, sure, you know, and you can't watch a
video and become a Reiki master.
Yeah, but I think it should be aone-on-one thing, whether it's
online or in person, and Ialways think in person is
better, but some people live inplaces where they can't, you
(15:19):
know, they don't have theconnection.
SPEAKER_00 (15:21):
Oh, yeah.
And if especially if you have ateacher that resonates with you,
so like I mean check check theircredentials, you know, make sure
that there's a lineage.
SPEAKER_01 (15:30):
Yeah, you know, it
shouldn't be, oh, I went out in
the backyard and I and Imeditated and you know, now I'm
a Reiki master.
SPEAKER_00 (15:36):
Right.
I've heard it where someone'slike, I had a dream and an angel
attuned me in the dream.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (15:44):
No, I think you need
somebody who has a natural
lineage and you know, um hasbeen practicing for some time.
Because a lot of things canhappen.
Like after I've had students, Imean, they say Reiki can do no
harm, and ultimately that istrue.
Sure.
However, the path there can bedifficult, especially if you're
(16:05):
mentally in a bad place oryou're, you know, physically in
a bad place.
Sure.
Um, I've had people with theReiki cleanse afterwards, you
know, the healing crisis getpretty bad.
And you need somebody there.
Yeah.
And I can, you know, I'm I'm acounselor because I've I've been
to um I've I've been toministerial school and I studied
(16:28):
counseling in the 90s also.
So I mean, you think you need tobe a bit of a counselor, I
think, to do any of the thingsthat I do, right?
Right.
You know, you just it you justyou can't just attune somebody
and say, bye, see ya, have agood time.
Right.
And I'm there for my studentsforever.
Like I have people I attuned 25years ago that are still, you
(16:50):
know, contact me.
So beautiful, beautiful.
SPEAKER_00 (16:53):
Yeah, so having your
business in California, and
unfortunately, due to COVID,having to leave that behind, and
now you're in Florida, and nowyou've shifted from in person to
online.
What advice would you givesomeone who is just entering the
spiritual work?
Now, this can be for your workin astrology, your work for
(17:13):
Entero, your work in Reiki, butwhat advice would you give
someone who wants to moveforward in the spiritual realm
work?
SPEAKER_01 (17:22):
Well, for one thing,
is um take a lot of classes,
read a lot of books fromdifferent people.
I mean, you know, sometimes youyou stick with one person.
I've had students say, I don'twant to learn from anybody else,
and I tell them, learn fromdifferent people.
Everybody has a differentperspective.
I learn from my students, youknow.
Um, that's one thing that Iwould tell them.
(17:43):
And the other is it's it'shelpful to have a mentor.
I had many mentors, uh, well, many probably I can think of
like three major ones, and theymade the difference for me.
Yeah.
My first one was an astrologer,an older lady who did classic
astrology, and she had beendoing it for like 50 years.
(18:05):
And um, I used to go to herhouse, and we would, she had a
room that was just filled withastrology books, the whole room.
Some of them were in French,German, Latin.
She had read them all.
She spoke many languages.
And we used to go, me and afriend, and we would look at
charts all day long, like from10 in the morning till 10 at
night.
(18:26):
I learned so much from her.
You know, she's passed now, she's she's since passed.
But and then um when I went toministerial school, the the
director of the school was a PhDpsychologist, and she taught um
a lot of um, like, you know, howto see auras.
She was also very metaphysical.
Um, and she taught a lot ofpsychology and and counseling.
(18:50):
So um those those have beenpeople that totally, and I
always wanted to be her, youknow, like I always wanted to
help people and teach people, and you know, and um she's
passed too.
And those are people that havemade a huge difference in my
life.
SPEAKER_00 (19:08):
Beautiful.
SPEAKER_01 (19:09):
So I think a mentor
would be another uh advice I
would give.
SPEAKER_00 (19:14):
That's great advice
because you get so caught up
into I want to help others, right?
And then you get that master's,and it's like now what?
SPEAKER_01 (19:22):
And a lot of people
have come to me and said, Well,
I got my master's, but I don'tknow how to give an attunement.
Yeah, I don't know how to teach, you know.
And in my program, you learn howto teach, you teach classes, you
know.
SPEAKER_00 (19:35):
Yeah, so yeah.
My first was Azui Rahijo and thelineage that I was in, you had
level one, then you had leveltwo, and level three didn't make
you a teacher, it just made youa master.
Yeah, I teach it in two levels, and then you go on into um
almost like a level four.
So it was an apprenticeship, andyou apprenticed off of a master
(19:59):
teacher for a year, and then youwere taught how to do the
attunements the right waypractice and practice and
practice, and between those, solike level one, I didn't get my
certificate until 21 days later.
I had to do self-reiki for 21days, and I had to go back to my
teacher, but I had anapprentice, I had to do a Reiki
(20:20):
presentation, I had to uhdocument my hours, um, I had to
do all these things, read booksand meet with my my teacher um
in order to get that masterteacher certificate.
Whereas when I did holy fire, itwas it was different.
We did one and two, you know, one day, then the next day, then
(20:40):
you wait six months and then youtake your master's.
Yeah, yeah.
And uh with that.
But yeah.
So what books do you recommend?
SPEAKER_01 (20:49):
Mine.
Actually, I wrote it as a umsort of like a textbook to go
with my classes.
Uh it's Reiki Crystals andChakras, and there's like a
chapters on each um thing.
Um, but there's also like a manyuh good books.
Um there's, you know, likeWilliam Rand has written some
(21:12):
books and Frank Petter, uh,excellent books.
There's a man named Hiroshi Doi.
He's a Japanese Reiki.
Are you familiar with him?
Yeah.
He's a Japanese.
I mean, I have so many books onReiki, but you know, like I
always tell my students, I cansit here and talk until I'm blue
in the face, but until you getyour behind out there and start
(21:34):
doing some Reiki, you're notreally learning anything.
Right.
And that's why I always I fromprobably the 90s had monthly
Reiki circles.
And they were they werebasically until I had to rent a
place and I charge likesomething minimal, like 10
bucks.
But um, and the Reiki circlesand and they were mandatory for
(21:54):
my students.
You know, like you need to getin there and do the work and
feel the energy and feel whatlike you know, something feels
like um to your hands, you know.
Um, I can't teach you that, youhave to experience it.
SPEAKER_00 (22:11):
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (22:12):
I think the most
profound experience I ever had
was um two of my studentsbrought a young woman, she was
like 32, and she had just had ababy, and she was diagnosed with
uterine cancer.
And we put her on the table, andI put my hand on her sacral
chakra, and it was on fire.
(22:32):
I have never felt anything sohot doing Reiki.
And um I told my students, Isaid, I don't feel good about
this.
She's she needs to you know havethe surgery.
She didn't want to have surgerybecause she was so young.
And um and they said, Oh George, are you just being negative?
(22:53):
I said, Okay, you know, so Ibacked off, but she was gone
within two months.
Oh wow, and so I had thatexperience of feeling what that
was, you know, and and of courseit broke my heart, but yeah, you
know, it there's a lot of thingsthat can break your heart when
you do Reggie.
Yeah, because you're not you'renot Jesus walking around raising
(23:14):
people from the dead, you know.
And um, yeah, and those areexperiences that I can't, you
know, I can relay them to you,but until you've actually felt
that, you know, you're notreally experiencing it.
SPEAKER_00 (23:29):
Yeah, this is just
that type of modality you have
to do.
SPEAKER_01 (23:34):
Very physical
modality, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (23:36):
Right, because it's
like going, like, hey, go try
that piece of pizza.
What does it taste like?
SPEAKER_01 (23:40):
Well, you have to
taste like tomatoes and cheese,
but until you really eat it, youknow.
SPEAKER_00 (23:48):
It's a good analogy.
And then, you know, you mightthink, oh, this is terrible, but
yeah, you have to experience.
I felt like fear for me was Ihad to study as much as I could,
right?
And I just read and read andread.
And I did the same thing as ayoga teacher.
Like I just felt like I needthat one more book, I need that
one more video, I need that onemore training, but I really was
(24:09):
wasting valuable time to go outand physically be in it because
I felt once I taught it, then itit stayed in that memory.
Like I'm retained it more when Iwas in the experience, more than
hovering over a book andhighlighting it.
SPEAKER_01 (24:24):
So I feel that way
about teaching other modalities
too.
Um, like my tarot students, Ihad a class once.
We we used to meet, I don'tknow, two, three times.
And they're all sitting therewith their books, you know.
So I got so disgusted with them.
I just took a basket and I said, put your books in the basket,
(24:45):
you know, and and they all hadto relinquish their books.
And because you don't developyour own uh psychic abilities
that way, you know, you pay toomuch attention.
Like, what's that little thingin the corner of the card there?
Yeah, what does a card tell you?
SPEAKER_00 (25:03):
Wow, it's
cultivating a relationship with
your deck.
That's what I tell people thatyou really just got to get that
connection.
SPEAKER_01 (25:10):
Yeah, just once you
get the basics, it's like, you
know, and then it'll come toyou.
SPEAKER_00 (25:15):
And I think like
taking too much of the training
too caught me up into like, oh,it has to be this way.
And I had a friend that cameover who is an intuitive reader,
and her cards were all over theplace.
And here's me like, Well, whatspread is this?
And she's like, Spirit told me,and I'm like, What?
You know, so I think I had toomuch of that, yeah.
(25:36):
Yeah, that I'm like, okay, andthen I just like all right, I'm
gonna make it spirit-led here, and you know, based on each
person.
So I really step back.
So there is that point where youcan get too much because you get
a spread has to be a Celticspread or a nine card spread or
this way or something like that.
Exactly.
And sometimes like, nope, wewant it this way.
SPEAKER_01 (25:59):
There's there's I
wrote a blog.
There's um, you know how theysay when this when the student
is ready, the teacher willappear.
Sure.
Well, I said the opposite.
When the student is ready, theteacher will disappear.
SPEAKER_00 (26:12):
There we go.
SPEAKER_01 (26:13):
Because you tend to
get too codependent with your
cards or your teacher, you know,or your Reiki books or whatever.
And and and then it's time to goout on your own.
Yeah.
You know, and to experience.
And I think that that's my and Itell my students that you've got
to experience.
It's a little harder now becauseI don't have my huge Reiki
(26:35):
treatment room, you know, likestuff that I had in California.
But um, you know, you have thewhole internet.
SPEAKER_00 (26:42):
Whole internet now I
have the whole internet, I have
the whole world.
There we go.
The whole world.
So speaking of that, do youoffer any classes, trainings,
events?
SPEAKER_01 (26:54):
I do.
I offer um all kinds of classes.
I teach tarot, I teachastrology, uh, I teach some
shamanic practices, uh, nature, you know, I'm very nature-based
as a person.
So I've done a lot of work withthat.
Um, you know, so yeah, I offerclasses like I have one in
(27:16):
December called Letting Go.
And it's something I do everyDecember around the solstice.
And it's um based on letting goof the things that don't suit
you anymore and you don't wantto take into the new year's.
So I do a lot of things likethat.
Um, I do sole purpose classes.
I, you know, just I've done somany, I can't even think of them
(27:37):
all.
SPEAKER_00 (27:37):
Well, 25 years
worth, right?
SPEAKER_01 (27:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I love teaching.
I love teaching.
That's that's my thing.
You know, I just love teachingand I love seeing people have
that aha moment, you know.
SPEAKER_00 (27:50):
So, where can we
find you if someone's listening
and you're their person and theywant to reach out to you for
astrology, tarot, or Reiki?
SPEAKER_01 (27:58):
Well, I'm on
Facebook under my name, Georgia
Vlalejos.
Um, I'm also on um Instagram.
I'm trying to think of where Iam.
I'm all over, really.
And um, I have my own website.
It's um www.georgavlehos.com orravenhawk tarot.com.
(28:20):
Um, I don't really have theReiki on there now, um just
because you know, I I I kind ofwant to lay a little low in
Florida, you know.
So um, you know, it's notthere's not much about Reiki.
And if somebody's interested inReiki, by all means get in touch
with me.
SPEAKER_00 (28:39):
Yeah, yeah.
Um, so in Florida, what are theconsequences if you were practic
practicing?
SPEAKER_01 (28:47):
I it's it's it's um
a criminal thing, and there's a
huge fine, you know, and they'reum they don't allow like a lot
of people get when we firststarted out, we got around it by
becoming ministers, you know, inCalifornia, like back then.
And but that they don't acceptthat.
So a lot of people think, oh,we'll just become a minister.
(29:09):
No, they don't accept it.
So, you know, I mean it it'sit's sad, but um I just hope
that someday it changes, right?
SPEAKER_00 (29:21):
Yeah, hopefully.
Well, that ends the first partof our journey, and I'm gonna
guide you into the second part, which are questions from
listeners and Reiki students.
So, number one, you with theenergy in 1993, your master's in
1997.
In your opinion, how has theindustry of Reiki changed?
SPEAKER_01 (29:43):
Well, I think that
it's sort of like a double edged
sword.
In a lot of ways, it's becomeavailable all over the world.
You know, basically it juststarted out in Hawaii and then
they moved to California, wasthe next place to get it.
And Back then in the 90s, it waslike, you're wearing your
tinfoil hat again, you know.
(30:04):
And then, you know, it juststarted expanding and expanding
and expanding.
I'm sorry to say it reallyhasn't expanded into the
American South.
Um, but you know, New Jersey,New York, and then, you know,
Europe, all over Europe.
I I've had uh met people, youknow, through Facebook that are
everywhere.
Like, and people go to mywebsite from Korea, China, you
(30:28):
know, Thailand.
I mean, I've I've seen somereally places you would never
think.
And that's wonderful.
And I think the world needs thatdesperately now.
But it's also uh there's youknow, like I said, there's the
you know, YouTube Reiki MasterTunes attunements, and you know,
read this book and you're aReiki master kind of thing.
(30:51):
So I think there's a lot ofpeople that aren't uh really
qualified to be teaching thatare teaching.
Yeah, you know, so that that'sbut I I I would never not want
it to go across the wholeplanet, you know.
SPEAKER_00 (31:07):
Right, right.
I think a lot of things it'sethics that seems to be
challenged.
SPEAKER_01 (31:12):
Yeah, yeah.
And with everything though.
I mean, you you can go to adoctor that's not ethical, you
know.
I mean, it it's part of humannature, I guess.
Right, right.
SPEAKER_00 (31:23):
Well, number two,
this is from uh a student that
is a tarot reader, and wetouched on it a little bit
before.
Like, do you think connecting tothe energy would help me improve
my reading ability with cards?
And then the second part, sheasked, Why do you call yourself
a tarot consultant versus atarot reader?
SPEAKER_01 (31:44):
Okay.
So first part, uh, yes, I thinkthat you know, if you're going
to be a tarot reader orconsultant, and the reason that
I I don't the idea of readerjust brings to my mind a a
person sitting at a fair with agypsy gypsy outfit on.
I don't know.
I just prefer consultants, kindof like guide and host, you
(32:06):
know, like the same thing.
It's just more descriptive, Ithink, of what I consider
because you know, like you youreally are dealing with people's
lives, you know, people haveserious issues.
They're they're very, you know,they have problems.
They, you know, you're dealingyou and you need to be able to
do deal with that.
SPEAKER_02 (32:25):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (32:25):
And it's not just
sitting there saying, Oh, you're
gonna meet a dark stranger, youknow, like next week on Thursday
as you're walking to church, youknow.
Yeah, it it's it's way more thanthat.
Yeah, so um what was thequestion?
SPEAKER_00 (32:40):
Well, I was also
gonna start, yeah.
People don't understand thatit's really a mirror, the cards
are a mirror.
SPEAKER_01 (32:46):
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
And people, you know, you'rereally not telling them things
they don't know deep inside, youknow.
They probably do.
Yeah, and uh yes, I think thatwell, I I that's where I was
going.
Okay, I got my I got my thoughtback.
It came back.
Um the more you do Reiki, themore you open up your chakras
and clear out the gunk that'sstuck, you know, in in each
(33:10):
chakra, the better you become asa person and the more healed you
become.
So the more healed you are, thebetter able you are to help
other people, you know.
So I think in that respect, yes,Reiki will make you a better
reader, but it also opens up theuh third eye chakra and the
crown chakra.
SPEAKER_00 (33:28):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (33:28):
And um, those are
the ones that connect you, you
know.
That's where you get yourpsychic ability from.
SPEAKER_00 (33:33):
Right, right.
I always tell people becausethey think like you're either
born with it or it's magic.
And I'm like, listen, you workit like a muscle, get stronger
and stronger.
SPEAKER_01 (33:42):
It does.
And and I think a lot of it'sit's kind of like math.
Like some people are good atmath, and some, and I'm I'm one
of the terrible ones, you know, and and being a psychic, you
know, is some people are good atit, and I think I'm good at it,
but some people are great.
Yeah, you know, they can seeeverything.
I I'm not all seeing, you know,I'm more of an empath.
And um, you know, so you have tohave, and I think a lot of
(34:05):
people that become psychics havesome childhood experiences that
you know kind of foreshadow, yeah, that you know, like I've
I've had weird experiences.
SPEAKER_00 (34:18):
So yeah, like you
start having them when you're
little, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (34:21):
When you start when
I when I was little and when you
were little, it was a differentworld, you know, like nobody
talked about any of this.
SPEAKER_00 (34:31):
Well, you were
hushed, it was like don't say
things, yeah, like you're crazy, you know.
SPEAKER_01 (34:35):
So, you know, don't
and I think my mother was very
psychic, but we didn't know whatit was, you know, and and things
are better now, you know.
SPEAKER_00 (34:45):
Yeah, yeah, I think.
Yeah, my mom, you know, putreligion first, the Bible, and
it was like, no, we didn't, wedidn't do that.
My grandmother had the abilityas well, but my was a little bit
more open to it, where my motherwas really fixated on the word
of God, you know, the Bible.
SPEAKER_01 (35:00):
So it can be so
limiting, you know.
It's just right, it's sadbecause the Bible is full of
psychic stuff and you know, burning bushes talking and you
know, God coming.
I mean, there's all sorts of youknow, metaphysical stuff going
on in the Bible, you know, crystals and all kinds of
things, you know.
So it's sad that it'sinterpreted that way.
(35:22):
But I don't know if it'snecessarily the Bible or the
people interpreting it.
SPEAKER_00 (35:26):
Sure, sure.
Number three, as a crystal sounduh practitioner, how do you
incorporate Reiki into yoursessions?
SPEAKER_01 (35:34):
It's the other way
around.
I incorporate crystals andchakra healing and sound into my
Reiki sessions when I used to dothem.
I I use crystals now all thetime, like as I'm sitting here
talking to you, I'm playing withdisorders.
SPEAKER_00 (35:51):
I got mine here.
SPEAKER_01 (35:54):
Yeah, exactly.
And you know, um, to me, themain thing has always been
Reiki, and then you know, theother things are um tools, sure,
you know, and uh one thing likeif you go into a hospital in
California, you can't bring yourcrystals, you know, or do chakra
balancing, they want strictly, you know, Reiki, um, which is
(36:14):
fine, but I I just think ithelps to amplify the energy.
SPEAKER_00 (36:17):
Sure.
SPEAKER_01 (36:18):
And I do believe
very much in our the human
chakra system and having abalanced open chakra system.
I think that's very important.
SPEAKER_00 (36:26):
What are your
thoughts on the trend?
Has been someone comes into townand they do a weekend sound bowl
training, and then you have allof these individuals within a
weekend who are now soundpractitioners that are going out
and doing the sound apps.
SPEAKER_01 (36:43):
It's the same thing
as the Reiki that are.
Yeah, I mean, I'm I don't I'mnot a sound bowl practitioner.
When I got my sound certificate,it was um using tuning forks,
you know, kind of a thing.
And it was always healing based.
Um, I did when I did Reikicircles, I did bring in somebody
(37:06):
who would do sound balls, but itwasn't like you know, laying
down and just listening.
It was like, you know, if shewould see me working on
somebody's solar plexus, she'dplay her solar plexus ball.
So it was always healingoriented, you know.
Okay.
Um so that that's you know howhow I see it.
(37:26):
I I just don't think you canmaster anything in in a weekend.
Yeah.
Like I've had people like I hadI have a client who's very been
very ill for 12 years.
She had uh Lyme's disease andhas had a terrible, terrible
time.
And she decided to do Reiki andum she wanted to do it in
(37:47):
person, so she found somebodyand they gave her all three
attunements in one weekend, which was way too much for her
fragile body, and and it wasbad, you know.
And I've heard of that a lot,you know.
You just gotta do threeattunements in one week.
SPEAKER_00 (38:04):
Yeah, right.
I had a guest on the show, andum, she had a bad reaction to a
Reiki attunement that madethings worse.
And we kind of framed it in away like my mother, if she takes
penicillin, it's deadly for her,but others it it does help with
them, and so kind of beware.
(38:24):
That's that's yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (38:26):
Well, what it did
was it released something that
was already in her, you know, which ultimately is a good
thing, but I I had one personend up in the hospital, yeah.
Oh wow, they had they had aReiki attunement, uh, I think it
was level three, you know, themaster practitioner, and um she
had diverticulitis, I guess shehad a late latent case of it,
(38:49):
yeah, and it just made ithorrible she had to go to the
hospital, yeah.
And I had another man who wasvery depressed because he had
lost his wife and he had to goon MIPS for a while, yeah.
I mean, it really does um takethose things and expand them.
SPEAKER_00 (39:05):
Sure.
And then you look at like, youknow, the International Center
Reiki training, they offer holyfire, where holy fire isn't
physically touching the studentduring they call it a placement
versus the attunement, and sothat person's having their own
individual experience with thelight, and where the teacher is
not unintentionally kind ofbringing down or lowering the
(39:29):
energy, so there's success thereas versus physically touching
the student through theattunement.
SPEAKER_01 (39:37):
Yeah, well, I'm
like, you know, I'm mastering
like six different, I figuredout one, six different
modalities.
I don't remember what almost anyof them are.
SPEAKER_00 (39:49):
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (39:49):
I just do my Yusui
Reiki and Yeah, majority of
them.
SPEAKER_00 (39:53):
So, you know,
something like holy fire, kids
reiki, ICRT, animal reiki.
Uh they do no hands-onattunements and they do where
the light does it and theteacher actually.
SPEAKER_01 (40:06):
I'm sure that's
fine, you know, for them.
Um I taught animal reiki longbefore it became popular.
Yeah.
Because I've worked with animalsall my life.
So you know.
Oh, beautiful.
But I don't, I don't, I don'treally remember.
SPEAKER_00 (40:21):
Sure, sure.
Yeah, very good.
Well, that was our lastquestion.
As we go, is there anything thatyou have forgotten or something
you want to share with thelisteners?
The floor is yours.
Thank you.
SPEAKER_01 (40:34):
Um, I think that
like I was saying before, Reiki
1, your attunement is veryphysical.
You may get sick or you know, atoothache or whatever.
Reiki 2 is very emotional.
But once you hit level three, itopens your crown chakra.
And I think how I've seen itchange people is that they
(40:57):
finally understand what onenessmeans.
They're finally, oh, it justgave me chills.
They finally connect with allthat is, whatever, whatever that
is for you.
And and and you realize howconnected we all are and how
connected uh everything on theplanet is.
(41:18):
We're connected to the trees,we're connected to the animals,
we're connected to our garbage, you know.
And I think that that's that'sthe biggest thing that I took
away from Reiki 3.
You know, was it open my myheart?
I guess I would say.
SPEAKER_00 (41:37):
All right,
beautiful.
Well, thank you for taking timeout of the schedule to join me
on this ready.
I love it when I you knowconnect with people who've been
in this, you know, for 25, 30years.
It's amazing.
Thank you for all that you do.
SPEAKER_01 (41:53):
Thank you for what
you do.
I think it's wonderful.
SPEAKER_00 (41:55):
All right, my
beautiful listeners.
