A single Reiki session changed everything. Rose describes seeing two baby bottles in a vision years before motherhood, then shares how that moment unfolded into twins, attunement, and a decades-long relationship with energy work. From there we step into the deeper layers: healing the mother wound after loss, navigating health challenges in her family, and discovering how Reiki can be a steady ally through uncertainty, creativity, and change.

We talk about the shift from “woo” to grounded practice, and how simple language, lived stories, and consistency make Reiki tangible for anyone. Rose opens up about Empress Rising, her book that invites women to reclaim midlife as expansion, not diminishment. We explore what sovereignty looks like in daily life: choosing practitioners by resonance, building energetic hygiene, and using boundaries to protect your nervous system. Expect practical tools you can try today—the traffic-light intuition method for clear decisions, a quick shield visualization for tough conversations, and gentle ways to replenish your Wei Qi with Reiki, qigong, and rest.

If you’re ready to write, podcast, or rebrand, we dig into focus, momentum, and why pivots are a sign of alignment, not failure. Rose also shares how she paired intention, Reiki, and movement to support sobriety, and how community keeps the path alive. Come for the stories; stay for the simple practices that help you feel centered, sovereign, and deeply present in your Empress years.

If this conversation sparks something, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a quick review to help others find the show. Your voice helps this community grow.

She is also a great cheerleader, supporter of all.
And, you know, this is what Iget asked a lot like, why do you

(01:46):
do a podcast?
You know, uh, if you're notmaking tons of money on it.
And it's for connections andnetworking.
So pretty early on in my uhpodcast journey, I connected
with our next guest and Iconsider her a lifelong friend.
So let me tell you about mybuddy Rose.
Now, she is an award-winningpodcaster of chat off the mat,

(02:10):
author, Reiki master, mentor, and energy alchemist.
She is the author of EmpressRising, own your energy, trust
your wisdom, and rewrite therules of aging.

than diminishing and guidingthem to stop into what is she

(02:31):
calling her Empress years withconfidence and moving forward
into just transformationalgrowth.
So let's give a ready set Reikiwelcome to Rose.

SPEAKER_00 (02:42):
Hey, oh my gosh, this is awesome.
I feel like I'm in your livingroom.
I'm in your Reiki living room.
I love it.

SPEAKER_01 (02:48):
Right, right.
I love it, I love it, I love it.
It's so wonderful.
And then you just meet people inthis journey that you just click
with.
So we're buddies, we do slideswaps, we support each other, we
cheer each other on, got thebook, got it here.
So everyone, a little bit aboutyou, but I know there is so much
more.
So tell us a little bit aboutyourself.

SPEAKER_00 (03:08):
Well, um, well, you you said a lot, and um, I
appreciate all the things.
And I mean someone else says allthe things that I do.
I'm like, oh wow, I really do alot because I start to question
like, am I doing enough?
You know, so that tells youright off the bat, like, I just
love to do this work.
Uh so yes, I'm I live in NewJersey.
Um, I've been doing the podcastfor several years, recently

(03:29):
published my book.
I have twin, identical twinboys.
They're in college and a greathusband.
And I just love being on thisplatform, helping people out,
meeting people like like Tracy.
And I don't know, this is justthe best journey.
I'm in my happiest years ever, and um, I love what I do.

SPEAKER_01 (03:48):
Beautiful.
So ready, set Reiki.
We're here for a Reiki journey.
So tell us about Reiki.
When did Reiki come into yourlife?
Did you find Reiki or did itfind you?

SPEAKER_00 (03:58):
Well, I think a little bit of both.
So I found Reiki, oh, let's sayabout 30 years ago.
It seems like forever, right?
It's like half my life.
When I was going through areally hard time, and my yoga
teacher at the time mentionedReiki, and I was like, Reiki,
what is this Reiki stuff?
My ears went up.
I'm like, oh, this is soundsreally cool.
So we talked about it, and um, Iwas going through a really hard

(04:20):
time, really bad relationshipbreakup, having a was on a
healing journey, and I said, youknow, I'm gonna try this Reiki
stuff out.
I had no idea what to expect.
Came to my dad's house where Iwas living, because I I was
living there for a while.
Came with his little Reiki bed,and I lay down on it, you know,
the table, and he's like, Okay, yeah, I'm just just relax.

(04:41):
You're not gonna feel anything.
Maybe some heat, maybe someelectricity, just go for it.
I'm like, I'm chill.
I will, whatever I need to feel, whatever is right, I'm good.
So that was my first experience.
But the cool part and the coolstory is that during that time,
my mother had been past alreadyabout 10 years.
And as I was laying there inthis very semi-conscious state,

(05:05):
I saw a vision of her come to mefrom heaven, and I say heaven
because that's where I think shecame down from, showed me,
opened her hands, and showed metwo baby bottles.
And from that point on, I knew Iwas gonna have twins.
I knew it.
And I wasn't even dating myhusband.
I met him like 10 years later.
So I was like, wow, I said, that's pretty wild.

(05:25):
And it was just my first amazingexperience with Reiki.
And then, you know, I I didn'thave sessions after that, but I
knew always about Reiki.
And then I had my kids, and theywound up having a this genetic
thing that they were born withthat made them lumpy, kind of
like the Elephant Man, if you'veseen the Elephant Man movie.

(05:47):
Um, they were diagnosed withthat.
My one son had a tumor on hisoptic nerve, which fortunately
has not ever turned into cancer, thank God.
So I said, What am I gonna do?
I said, Well, I knew a friend ofmine had Reiki was a Reiki
master because we had talkedabout it.
I called her up.
I said, Listen, I really needyour help.
I need you to help make me aReiki practitioner.
I need to do this.

(06:08):
It's the only thing I could do,it was like out of my hands.
Like, how can I help my kids?
So it was like a kitchendrive-by Reiki attunement.
She sat me down, she pulled hernotes out from like way back in
the day, all scribbled on it.
She taught me about you know,Master of Suey and what this is,
and she gave me a quick Reikiattunement, and that just did it

(06:29):
for me.
And I was doing Reiki on my kidsfrom that point on, and then I
had formal training after that, but yeah, so I did it for my
kids.
Reiki found me, and I foundReiki.
How's that?
All in one thing.

SPEAKER_01 (06:43):
Isn't that amazing?
It always takes that onecatalyst for change, right?
To spark it and saying, wow, andwho would have ever imagined in
that moment that you're doingwhat you're doing today?

SPEAKER_00 (06:54):
I know, I know what a journey, right?
And I did it for me and my kids, really, for my children, for my
family, for me, because when Iwas diagnosed with breast cancer
several years after that, Ialready had the tool, right?
So I was able to use it onmyself.
So, and I'm getting these likemassive tingles as I'm talking
to you about this because it waslike, okay, you know, Reiki's

(07:16):
like saying me, yeah, I wasthere for you, um your family.
And um, yeah, it's amazing howReiki just has been such a huge
force and friend in my life.
Yeah, amazing.

SPEAKER_01 (07:29):
If you let it flow, it will change the whole
direction of your life.

SPEAKER_00 (07:33):
Oh, yeah.
Oh my god, yeah.
It and always, always, it'salways there guiding you.
I feel that strongly guides you.
It's like your best friend.

SPEAKER_01 (07:44):
Well, you've been at this for several years.
Well, let's say severallifetimes, right?
Yes, absolutely.
So, what are some things thatyou have found that people have
said to you or you've heard thatare misconceptions about Reiki
or really energy energy work?

SPEAKER_00 (08:00):
Well, um, misconceptions.
A lot of people really don't,they're they're they're curious
but skeptical, I think.
Uh if I could take it from thatangle, because I started
practicing this and and andlearning about this when it was
really woo-woo.
Like I was even afraid to tellanybody about it.

SPEAKER_01 (08:19):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (08:20):
Um, right?
You're like, okay, well, I can'treally tell anybody because
they're gonna think I'm crazy, but I know that this is like
something I have to do and haveto have in my life.
So you find the people who whoyou can be comfortable around
that um that also are Reikipractitioners, but slowly and
surely, uh when you start tolive the Reiki path and the
Reiki life, um, it's easier totalk about it.

(08:44):
It's more I know what Reiki isnow, it flows out of my mouth.
I didn't I don't have tomemorize an elevator pitch or
anything like that.
Um, and you know, people are nowmore accepting and they're
curious, and I'm not afraid totell them about it.
I don't I don't hide fromtalking about it or who I am as
a Reiki practitioner and mentor.

(09:05):
Um, so I love educating people.
It's my path is my thing now.
Like, okay, you don't know aboutReiki, let me tell you about
Reiki, you know, and I thinkyou're the same way because this
is why you're here.
Yeah, so that we can share thethe the beautiful practice that
it is.

SPEAKER_01 (09:21):
Right.
And just to shine a light on it,you probably in your experience,
as you start looking back, youknow, uh people would say
something like, Are you a witch?
Because, like, say, like youbrought somebody a cup of coffee
and they're like, How did youknow?
Like, I wanted coffee, or youhave these kind of
synchronicities andcoincidences, but it was like,

(09:43):
hmm, how did you know all that?
And even like opening up aboutthis, you didn't want somebody
to think, oh, you're a witch andyou're doing all these things.
So it was often to keep itquiet, right?
But now that it's mainstream, you know, it's out there, and
like my kids are like, Oh, yeah, somebody on TikTok does that.
We know we know all about that.

SPEAKER_00 (10:03):
Right, my mom does that.
You know, it's funny you saythat, but our kids have grown up
to with this and and they'reused to it, right?
Which is great.
But growing up in anenvironment, and as a child, I
always knew that I was a littlewitchy, I was very intuitive as
a as a very young child, but Icouldn't express it.
I I didn't have any, you know, anybody to talk to about it to

(10:26):
see if there was anybody in myfamily who was also like that.
And um, but but I embrace itnow, right?
As we get older and as we getmore comfortable with the tools
that we have, we embrace it andfind other people who who are
like us.
It's great, right?

SPEAKER_01 (10:41):
Uh, I was talking to somebody and she's like, Well,
you know, if you were youngerand you had the little cootie
catcher, you know, yes, and youhave an eight-ball.
Yes.

SPEAKER_00 (10:57):
I was thinking about that eight-ball the other day.
It's so funny.

SPEAKER_01 (10:59):
Yeah, Jake, that magic eight-ball.
It's like, oh well, your bookhas come out, it has a lot of
wonderful tools in there to helpinspire, to help us rewrite our
rules of aging.
And, you know, you've collectedall that from all the experience
and the wisdom that you havegained.
You're out here helping othersand supporting.

(11:21):
When you stand back today andlook back at your life, what has
been the biggest challenge orstruggle you faced in your
healing journey?

SPEAKER_00 (11:30):
The biggest challenge and struggle in my
healing journey is to repair therelationship with my mom.
Um, unfortunately, she passedaway when I was 26 years old.
She was 49.
And I was not able to do that inperson because, well, she was
ill for a long time.

(11:50):
She also wasn't the type ofperson that communicated or
shared love or embraced any ofthat, anything that I was doing
as well.
Um, so that was the biggestchallenge for me.
And I've been able to use Reikiand other tools like mediumship,
just connecting with her spirit.

(12:12):
I mean, she came to me in a in aReiki session and showed me two
baby bottles.
I mean, you know, she's like,here, here, I'm here.
I'm showing you this.
So that was the biggest, biggest, biggest message that I
received from her and connectionfrom her.
And I I started to really repairmy relationship with her while
she was in spirit, while she'sin spirit.

(12:33):
Um, and it's been and it's beengood now.
Um, you know, so that that'sthat's been the big thing for
me.
And and writing in the book, Iwrite about her briefly.
I don't really go into a lot ofdetail because people don't want
to really want to know about mystory, but I had to put it in
there because I'm sure there area lot of people out there, a lot
of women.
Maybe they've had relationshipsgrowing up with their own

(12:56):
parents, maybe siblings, maybefriends that were challenging.
And they had to learn how to uhnavigate through those and
hopefully learn how to repair.
And if they're not here andthey're in spirit, they can
still do that, you know.
Uh so yeah, so that was uh thatwas a challenge for me.
But it's good.

SPEAKER_01 (13:15):
But look, you took that challenge, and look what
you're doing now.
You are loving, caring, supportive, and you're sharing
other women, yeah, andempowering them.
So well done for that.
Well done.
So when it is time for you toget an energetic tune up, what
are some qualities that you lookfor in a Reiki practitioner?

SPEAKER_00 (13:37):
Well, I always tell I always tell people that a
Reiki practitioner needs toresonate with you.
You need to feel that thatyou're comfortable in them,
right?
Because they they have theirenergy.
I mean, they're they'rechanneling the Reiki energy, but
they're creating the sacredspace for you, and you have to
feel comfortable in that sacredspace.
So anybody that's looking for aReiki practitioner, you know,

(13:59):
you'll know in your in yourheart, in your body if they feel
right for you.
That you that they they know theprinciples, they they live the
the life of Reiki, they let theyallow Reiki to heal or to guide
them, excuse me.
So those are just some reallybasic things.
And and you know, you you youyou get it, you understand like

(14:21):
me meeting you, like I knowyou're you're the real deal,
right?
Just because you're we're a lotalike, and you feel it.
So when someone resonates thatenergy, and you feel it in your
energy, that it's right.
That's that's when you know.

SPEAKER_01 (14:35):
Yeah, I mean, like within minutes, it's like I knew
like this is my girl.
Yeah, exactly.
I mean, I'll have some guestscome on, and it happened a
couple days ago.
It's like boom, she's like, Ohmy gosh, like it was this
communication back and forthforever, and then it was just
clicking.
And she also had a challengingwhich she shared about on the
show, a challenging relationshipwith her mother, which yeah, I

(14:58):
got I understood.
I see you, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (15:01):
I know, yeah.
Wow.

SPEAKER_01 (15:02):
So, author, podcaster, amazing and wonderful
things.
You've written articles formagazines.

SPEAKER_00 (15:10):
You yeah, Makey magazine, just like you.

SPEAKER_01 (15:14):
And um what advice would you give somebody who's
listening to this?
I'm like, yeah, I am soempowered.
Like, what pearls of wisdomcould you give them if they're
like, I want a podcast, I'mgonna write a book, right?
I'm gonna do all these thingsthat you are doing.
You are a trailblazer and I'mgonna follow right behind.

SPEAKER_00 (15:32):
Well, do what I did.
You you first of all, you thinkabout um, I meditate on it a
lot.
I ask Reiki a lot to guide me.
And you know, I I learned a lotof that from William Rand,
sitting and having lunch withhim at Omega, and he just says,
you know what, Rose, when youhave questions about things or

(15:53):
where you want to go and yourfocus, he goes, just put your
hands in Gasho and ask Reiki toguide you.
And I do that, right?
So I love to do a lot of thingsjust like you.
You have your hands andeverything, but there's days
when it's just too much.
So I asked to have a focus.
So, someone that's out therethat wants to reinvent
themselves and try new things, find one thing that you're

(16:15):
really passionate about or youwant to try and try that and and
see how it goes and know thatit's a journey, it's not gonna
happen overnight.
It takes time, it takes energy, right?
Um, but there's resources likeus, like you know, Tracy and
myself out there.
There's a lot of resources outthere that can guide you in uh
anything, whether it's podcastor writing a book.

(16:37):
But um, I recommend that youtake time to go within first and
decide what what you want tofocus on.
That's the hard part to justjump on something, figure out
what what lights you up, becausethat's what you know they say
figure out your why, but I liketo say what lights you up and
follow that light.

SPEAKER_01 (16:57):
Yeah, and know to have the courage too if you
start something and if itdoesn't feel right, you can
pivot.
You can absolutely both you andI had like rebranding.
We were in it for a coupleyears, and we're like, you know
what?
Something's changed, andabsolutely, you know, and you
wonder like, what are peoplegonna say?
But wait a minute, like, youknow what?
It's okay, go forward in thedirection that you're meant to

(17:19):
go in.

SPEAKER_00 (17:20):
Yeah, and you know, really important what you just
said, you worry about what otherpeople say, but who are they?
You know, it's your life, it'syour brand, it's your project.
So you do what feels right foryou.
Somebody's gonna say something,you know.
So I stopped worrying aboutthat.
You know, wasn't long ago that Istopped because I used to worry

(17:40):
about what everyone else had tosay, and now I'm like, you know
what?
I'm gonna do my thing.
If they're gonna say somethingthat's cool, you know, I don't
like to judge, and I want to dowhat feels right for me.
So yeah, rebranding.
Um I'll be rebranding again, youknow.
New cover art for my podcast iscoming out because I'm like, oh,
I got tired of the old one.
So yeah, so we're constantlychanging, and and like um,

(18:03):
there's a the I forgot if it wasLao Tzu or um said that change
isn't permanent, so there's youconstant change, like life
changes, things change, and youhave to kind of go with it.

SPEAKER_01 (18:14):
You can't, and it's okay.
Like I had gotten a space and Iwas at it for a few months, and
then the energy just shifted andchanged around it, and parking
became an issue.
And I'm like, this isn'tworking.
And then you I wondered, arethink people are gonna think I'm
failing or ran it out of money, which was not true at all.
But it's like, you know what?
I had to do what felt right andit didn't feel right.

(18:36):
I felt like I wasn't growing inthat space, and then you move on
to the next one, and the peoplefollowed, they came, and new
people came.
So trust in the process, yeah, and remind yourself.

SPEAKER_00 (18:47):
That was great.
I love that example, and and Iremember you going through that,
and um, I think it's greatbecause you know, sometimes and
you and I think you're alsospiritually guided when that
happens because you're gettingthose feelings like, wait a
minute, this is something's notright here, right?

SPEAKER_02 (19:02):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (19:02):
So spirit is saying, Okay, you need to pivot.
So do this, and and and thatother thing that they guide you
towards, maybe it's a life'slesson, or maybe it's whatever
it is, but that's what you'resupposed to do.
And right, right.

SPEAKER_01 (19:15):
And when I was reading your book, you had a
nice uh offering in there thatyou learned from your teacher
about, you know, imagine thetraffic light.

SPEAKER_00 (19:23):
Yes, oh my god, can I talk about that real quick?
Of course.
Oh, this is the best, this isthis is the coolest little
exercise.
I think I learned that from LisaWilliams, uh, who's who's pretty
renowned as a psychic medium.
So she said, if you ever have aquestion that you want an answer
to, imagine a traffic light.
So you close your eyes, it do itwhile you're not driving, and

(19:45):
ask yourself a question.
And then whatever light pops up,whether it's green, green means
go, yellow means maybe not now,red is like no.
So use that really, really quicktool.
I just love that tool.

SPEAKER_01 (19:57):
Yeah, yeah.
So you have a lot of greatmaterial in here, or words of
wisdom, you know, to help guideyou through it.
So, well, on to our nextquestion.
So, what books do you recommend?

SPEAKER_00 (20:09):
Well, besides mine, I do, I do what recommend mine,
and I and thank you.
And um to start, because youknow, I wrote that, I channeled
that book, I started channelingthat book, and I knew that it
was an important message that Ihad to share, and I wanted to
rebrand the way women arelabeled.
I don't say labeled, maybethat's not the right word, but

(20:31):
that's the word I'm using.
So calling ourselves an empress, because we need to recognize how
important we are, and how thataging is not a bad thing, and
that we are wise and that we canreclaim our sovereignty.
And I and I tell people, use itas a guide.
You know, it's a book that youcould put in your purse or have
on your nightstand.

(20:52):
And people are telling me,they're just opening the book
and getting to a chapter, andlike that is the best part.
I needed to hear that for thatday.
And and and that was theintention.
And I used Reiki when I wrotethe book, and the intention
behind the book, it they ithelped me create it, and that
was one of them.
Use it as a guide.
So I I do recommend my book.
Um, I I do recommend anotherbook which I I love.

(21:15):
Um I forgot the name of it, butit's by Lisa Campion, who's been
both our guests, who I adore.
She has Psychic Reiki books, shehas some really good books on
Reiki and Psychic Reiki.
So um I love I love reading herstuff.
She's practical, it's easy toread.
I don't read anythingcomplicated.
Um, but I do have a stack.

(21:36):
Oh, and my latest book that I'mreading now is The Witching
Stones by Nicholas Pearson, whoI adore, and I know he's been on
your podcast too.
I just love he's got like amillion books, and he also
writes about Reiki.
So if you're into Reiki, checkout Nicholas Pearson.
His books on crystals areamazing.
Yeah, and his Reiki books are sogood too.

SPEAKER_01 (21:54):
He's he's good, he's constantly writing.

SPEAKER_00 (21:58):
Oh my gosh, he's amazing.
Yeah, you know, when you seepeople, I know you we see a lot
of people in our fields, andthen you you know those people
are meant to do what they'remeant to do, like William Rand
and Colleen and Robin, likethey're put on this earth to do
the work.
Nicholas is like that too, youknow.
Yeah, as we are as well, butthey're like the big, you know,
some of the fucking big gunshere.

SPEAKER_01 (22:20):
Yeah, like Justin B.
Stein, right?
You have weather, yeah.
So you have those in theindustry that it's like, wow,
you found your purpose, right?
Yes, yeah.
You can also use your book as anoracle.
You know, I flip through it andyou know, I have that royal
invitation, right?

SPEAKER_00 (22:36):
Yes.
Yeah, after each chapter, Iwrite the royal invitations,
just exercises, and they're alldifferent.
Each chapter has like adifferent kind of vibe, like a
new moon circle, or I have somecrystals in there, some
questions, and um, I have alotus crown meditation
connecting with the divineenergy, uh, which I I love that
too.
Um, I I I did that a lot.

(22:58):
That was one of the things Iused to do on my healing journey
is use that meditation or thatvisual visualization to connect
with spirit and connect with myguides and get to know who they
were or who they are.
I should say.
Sorry, guys, I know you'reyou're all here.
The team.
Um, so yeah, yeah.
So that was uh that was a goodone.

(23:19):
Thanks for mentioning that.

SPEAKER_01 (23:20):
And writing prompts as well.
So if writing is not your thingor journaling, it maybe this is
a way to help you with it withthe prompt.

SPEAKER_00 (23:28):
Yeah, thank you.

SPEAKER_01 (23:28):
Yeah, it's multi- multifaceted, multifaceted, and
also you brought up about theReiki.
I've had it as well, where theReiki with the writing, so
people don't think of that.
That like, wow, you can giveReiki to a piece that you're
writing.
One time I had held the Reikinews magazine, and all of a
sudden a flood of ideas came in,and I actually said out loud,

(23:52):
really, we're doing this nowwhen Reiki speaks, when Reiki
speaks, we listen.

SPEAKER_00 (24:03):
I know what is I love these stories because you
know, we we both teach new newpractitioners, right?
Yeah, yeah, and what I one ofthe things I do when I teach
people is I I can I keepconnected with them because
they're like, oh, I don't knowif I can still remember how to
use Reiki.

(24:24):
And you constantly have toremind them, like, Reiki is
there, yeah, everywhere, right?
Everywhere you turn.
So I I love hearing thesestories because like we've lived
it for many, many years, but wealso teach others to hey, trust
it's there, you didn't forgethow to use it, it's not gone,
you have it, you know.
And um, Reiki is so powerful, you know.

(24:45):
I have to say, what one reallystory that I I think may help
inspire other people, but twoand a half years ago, I I
stopped drinking alcohol.
It was because it wasn't drivingwith me anymore.
You know, the work that you dois like, you know, it's it's uh
you start to get rid of thingsthat you that are not good for
you, but but it was not easybecause it was just part of my

(25:06):
social thing.
And um, I asked Reiki every day.
Did Reiki and myself like, please help me do it, please
help guide me?
And I asked my guides and Iasked Reiki.
I did also energy work withChigang specific movement, and I
stopped and never had a desireto go drinking again.
Now I'm not saying it works foreveryone, but the intention is

(25:27):
having that intention using thetool and not giving up.
Yeah, and it worked consistent, consistent, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (25:38):
So I know all the wonderful things that you do, so
share with our listeners whatother services do you offer?
Do you classes, do you doevents?
Do you do trainings?

SPEAKER_00 (25:49):
So I do trainings right now.
I don't have a uh a training upyet.
Well, I I have um healingsessions on my website, but I
put so much effort in the bookthis year.
Right now, I'm just givingmyself a little holiday space.
My kids are coming home uh forthe holidays as well, uh, doing
some marketing.
But I am putting together acoaching program for Empress

(26:11):
Rising.
It's just um it's like atwo-month eight-session uh uh
coaching.
I don't want to use coaching,I'm using the word mentoring,
which I like better.
Um, so that'll be up on mywebsite soon.
I'm working on doing that.
And I would like to have morecircles, more workshops that are
free and available for peoplejust to create community.

(26:33):
In my book, I talk aboutcommunity because I really never
felt I had community until Istarted stepping into this work
and meeting people likeyourself, Tracy, and and having
other people around that thatare on this journey with us.
So, community is importantbecause as women, we need to
support other women.
I never really had that, so Iwant other women to help other

(26:56):
women come together on thisEmpress journey.
So I'm looking to doing somethings like that.
And then next month I'm doing aholiday reset with uh another
friend I met on podcast, podcasting Heather Eck.
We're just doing a littleholiday reset with some energy
work, color work, and Reiki, allrolled up into one.
So it's all it'll all be on mywebsite.

SPEAKER_01 (27:18):
Beautiful, I love it.
So, where can we get in touchwith you?
Uh, if you want to connect, areyou online, in person?
Where can we find you?

SPEAKER_00 (27:26):
Well, I'm almost everywhere, right?
Just like you.
Um so my website,rosewhippish.com.
You'll find everything about theme there, including my socials.
I have my podcast, chat off themat, which is still going
strong, and I love doing it.
Um, social media, you know,Instagram, Facebook.
Uh, I'm in all the places.

(27:47):
I'm on LinkedIn, anywhere.
And you can anyone listen, Iencourage anyone to just reach
out, DM me, say hi, have aquestion, just reach out.
That's that's what I'm here for.

SPEAKER_01 (27:57):
Yeah.
And remember, award-winningpodcast.

SPEAKER_00 (28:01):
Yes, thank you.
Thanks for mentioning that.

SPEAKER_01 (28:03):
Do you have and you have a newsletter?

SPEAKER_00 (28:05):
Uh, I do have a newsletter and I don't inundate
your um inbox.
Thank you for reminding me.
If you sign up for mynewsletter, there is a little
Empress energy assessment thatyou can take and it's
interactive and it'll give youlike a little score at the end,
uh, like where you are on yourEmpress journey.
And yeah, my my newsletters areare not they're infrequent, so

(28:27):
I'm not hounding you in yourmailbox because I don't like
that being done to me either.
Um, so thank you for remindingme that.
Um, you know, we we as someonewho does a lot of this herself,
and I don't have a VA.
Yeah, I don't have a VA, I havemyself, and so I try my best,
and it's all I can do.

(28:48):
But if anyone ever needs me, Iam available.
Beautiful, yeah.
Thank you.

SPEAKER_01 (28:54):
Well, that ends the first part of our journey.
I'm gonna continue to guide youto the next part, which are
questions from listeners andReiki students.
So, number one, what inspiredyou to write Empress Rising?

SPEAKER_00 (29:07):
So I woke up one morning laying in bed, and I
said, you know, I've started tothink about my aging, and I
started to get the image of thecrone and the hag, which are
images of a bent old womanstirring a cauldron, which I
think is a beautiful imagebecause it does signify, like,

(29:27):
you know, the later years.
But I'm like, you know what?
That kind of doesn't go with myimage.
Not that I have an image, it'sjust like I think we should be
called empresses.
And then all of a sudden, assoon as I said that word, like
this portal started opening up,and I was getting downloads of
information.
I got up and I just startedhandwriting all this stuff like
an empress does this and anempress this, and that's what

(29:50):
inspired me.
I think is just that I wanted tocreate a movement of women
feeling differently aboutthemselves and knowing that your
life.
Isn't over after you retire orafter your kids leave the nest
or any big life change that yourlife is getting gets better.

SPEAKER_01 (30:09):
Yeah, love that.
And if someone's listening, ifyou feel like, oh, I could never
ever write a book, don't saythat.
Be open to it.
Because just like it came toyou, you also wrote articles,
right?
And that's how I started out.
I started writing articles and Iwrote for a newspaper.

(30:30):
And uh even like doing littlequotes, I've been doing little
quotes lately, and that can allbuild on something.

SPEAKER_00 (30:37):
Yep.

SPEAKER_01 (30:37):
And then to a point, I remember I was flying, I was
on the plane to Salita, and itjust came this whole article.
And I got off the plane and Imet somebody and she's like,
Well, what did you do on theplane?
I said, I wrote an article.
She's like, What on the plane?
And you never know where it'sgonna happen.

SPEAKER_00 (30:55):
You never know.
I was doing the same thing withmy book.
I was on the plane too, and Ijust started downloading stuff.
And I actually I got I gotanother download for um another
book.
It's more fiction that I startedthat I think I'm gonna work on
next year.
But but yeah, you just neverknow.
Anyone can write a book orarticles or an Oracle card deck,
even yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (31:14):
I mean, even it's a little easier now, years ago.
I mean, I'm talking like uh2012, like uh it was a little
harder to get things publishedand things and sending letters
out, and even before that, likethis is talking like 1993, 94.
I was trying to get a bookpublished, and you had to have a
literary movement and all thisother stuff, and all these hoops

(31:36):
that you had to go through.
Um, and and I always tell peoplelisten, Jim Morrison tried to
get his book published and hecouldn't get it published, and
he had to self-publish it.
Wow, he was a pioneer, he was apioneer, so he even get it's a
good book because it was apoetry book and he
self-published it.

SPEAKER_00 (31:56):
Didn't know that.

SPEAKER_01 (31:57):
Okay, you know, look at that.

SPEAKER_00 (31:59):
So let me tell you something.
When you so you'veself-published before, when you
self-publish, you you keep therights of your book.

SPEAKER_01 (32:05):
And like I have one that went through uh an agency
or publishing company, and theytook uh I my you know, the
royalties are so sad becausethey take out restocking fees
and this fee and that fee, andit's like you'll sell 20 books,
and I'm like, I made 40 cents.
That was right.

SPEAKER_00 (32:26):
Yes, I know, but that yeah, it's just a lot
easier for people to get theirmessaging out.
I think it's great, but youknow, it's work.
But if it's something I wantedto write a book forever, I was
also a writer, I wanted to be ajournalist growing up, so this
is like all my whole thing nowpodcasting.
It's like I'm supposed to be inthis in this environment, and I
was writing another book and itjust wasn't going.

(32:48):
Yeah, and this happened.
I'm like, wow, this ishappening.

SPEAKER_01 (32:51):
Yeah, excellent.
I love it.
Number two, you teach womenabout establishing energetic
boundaries.
So, why are these boundaries socritical, especially as we are
in our empress years?

SPEAKER_00 (33:02):
Yeah, so you know, women do everything, we are
taking care of others, we'retaking care of seniors, we're
driving people that our energyis constantly being depleted.
And you know, we have to thinkabout energy as being like I
always refer to it as if we havean energy reservoir or bank of

(33:23):
energy, and it's important totake care of that energy.
As much as you let out thatenergy, you have to work on
bringing that energy back in.
And you do it with practiceslike chigang or reiki, moving
stagnant energy in the bodybecause lifestyle gets stuck,
things get stuck, emotions.
Um, so it's really important totake care of our energy and also

(33:45):
not be around people who are nottreating us well, we feel not
comfortable around, and beingreally aware of that because
that's important.
Those energy vampires are real, and not in a bad way where
they're gonna, you know, comeand hurt you, but energetically,
yeah, they can they can hurtyou.

(34:06):
And it's important to to also umhave um energetic hygiene.
I know you've talked, we did apanel once people talk about
hygiene, right?
So sweeping your energy orclearing out your aura
regularly, daily, even, so thatyour energy is is good, it's
your energy.

(34:27):
There's something in Chinesemedicine called the Wei Chi, and
think about it as an energetic, like um, suit of armor around
you.
And so if you don't want anybodyto penetrate that armor, and
that can mean just not justpeople, but also like diseases,
you have to take care of it, youhave to build, and we can do
that with intention or withpractices like qigong or yoga as

(34:48):
well and Reiki, obviously.

SPEAKER_01 (34:50):
Right, right.
And you mentioned in your booktoo about how you can kind of
reset your circle, you mighthave to just change some things
to look at the people who aresupporting you or bringing you
down.
So the third question is how cansomeone start creating these
boundaries and and what can wedo to strengthen them?

SPEAKER_00 (35:09):
You mean with people?

SPEAKER_01 (35:11):
Yeah, with our yeah, with the circles of people that
we have.

SPEAKER_00 (35:14):
Well, it's so if you find yourself interacting with
somebody on a regular basis andyou find that you're not feeling
well after you do, whether it'sjust a talk or a walk or
whatever it is, then you got tostart pulling back.
And you know, like we saidearlier, we we worry about what
other people have to say.
You can't worry about what theseother people think because if

(35:35):
you're let's say taking a walkand 90% of the time with that
person, that person's talkingabout their problems and their
thing.
I mean, what's going on with?
I mean, you're getting drained,right?
I mean, you're gonna spend anhour walk draining your energy
and you're gonna feel worse.
So, I mean, you don't andsometimes it's hard, and it's
family that could be doing it.

(35:56):
You just have to just giveyourself the time to replenish
and restore your energy if youcan't get away from some of
these people, or if you can kindof distance yourself from some
people, then try to do that.
I mean, I I I that happened tome, and this person actually on
her own said I don't want to beyour friend anymore and ghosted

(36:21):
me.
And that was after I was tryingto do my own thing, and you
know, I was kind of putting alittle distance, and then I felt
so free.
I was like, Oh my god, I feel sogood.
I felt like I could breathe.
So um, yeah, and then you'llfeel better.
So be aware of when you feel alittle energy zapped and uh make

(36:41):
make small changes, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (36:43):
And even if it's family too, sometimes just
because they're blood doesn'tmean they're the best fit for
your life.
Oh my god, yeah.
Society tends to put, especiallyif it's a mother or father,
society puts it on you like, butit's your mom, right?
Or it's your sibling, you haveto get over it.
It's like, but if they'redraining you and just negative

(37:06):
and just this darkness, then youhave to make that decision.
It's okay.
So don't feel bad about it.

SPEAKER_00 (37:12):
And you can also find ways to create that
energetic shield if you can'tleave them, or if if you walk
into a situation and you knowthey're there, create this
energetic shield around you, like a bubble, so that they
their interaction with you willchange.
I don't know if you've ever donethat, but I always encourage

(37:33):
people, they're like, Rose, I'mgonna go see my family this
weekend, and I can't get out ofit.
I'm like, okay, this is what youdo.
Picture yourself in a verystrong bubble, and you know, and
they and they tell told me theydid that, and they're like, Oh
my gosh, they're like, that madesuch a big difference.
I'm like, Yeah, and it didn'tcost you anything.
You just it you just it's there, you do it, and it's it's great,

(37:56):
it's a great tool.

SPEAKER_01 (37:57):
Yeah, shields up, shields up, baby.
Well, that was our thirdquestion.
As we've been talking, is thereanything that you have forgotten
or something you want to sharewith the listeners?
The floor is yours.

SPEAKER_00 (38:07):
Oh well, listen, if you are new to this Reiki
journey or you've been on thispath for years, I I think that
you you're making changes to thevibration of the world, just
even by being here and listeningto Tracy and all the wonderful
things that she does.
I mean, it's all about livingthe best life that you have
because life is short.

(38:28):
So let's live it the best wecan.
Let's raise the vibration of theuniverse, let's send peace out
to the universe and uh try tomake this all uh a better place
to live, you know, one one dayat a time, one person at a time.

SPEAKER_01 (38:40):
Beautiful.
I love that.
Well, let us know again how wecan get in touch with you.

SPEAKER_00 (38:45):

And if you forget all that, justget a hold of Tracy.
She knows where to find me.
In your top fan club, yeah, andsame here.
She's I I love her, she's thebest.

SPEAKER_01 (39:06):
But one day we're gonna get in person, so yes,
yes, one day we were gonna do.

SPEAKER_00 (39:10):
I am I'm so funny.
I earlier I like set theintention.
I'm like, okay, we have aretreat.
I want to do a retreat withTracy.
So the timing will be right andwe will do it out in the
universe.

royalties, it's about gettingthe message out there for me.
