What happens when a fashion insider discovers that statement pieces are energetic tools and color is a form of medicine? We sit down with Colleen McCann, designer, stylist, author of Crystal RX, and the creator of Style Rituals, to explore how intention, wardrobe, and ritual can shift your field, sharpen your intuition, and support deep healing. From a raw, unfiltered spiritual awakening in New York City to building a practice that blends glamour and grounded technique, Colleen brings practical wisdom for anyone walking the path.

We talk about the myths that trip up new practitioners—especially the idea that a weekend certificate makes a healer, and why lineage, mentorship, and daily self-care matter more than any title. Colleen shares how she chooses teachers, how to keep your energy clean when you work with clients, and why therapists have therapists and healers need healers. Tracy adds real-world stories about energetic hygiene, tech glitches during live sessions, and the surprising ways collective energy can reverberate through a home if it isn’t cleared.

Space and land clearing take center stage as we unpack how properties hold memory and why some rooms feel “off” until they’re intentionally reset. Colleen’s work spans private sessions, brand events, corporate creativity tune-ups, and pre-build land grids with architects and designers. We also dive into crystal talismans, color strategy, and the small, repeatable rituals that make your day steadier and your presence stronger—on camera, at ceremony, or in the boardroom.

If you’re a curious beginner, a seasoned master teacher, or a creative seeking a reset, this conversation offers tangible tools, honest stories, and a reminder that your practice will evolve as you do. Subscribe, share with a friend who loves crystals or design, and leave a review to tell us which style ritual you’ll try this week.

Colleen is here to be your personal Energy Stylist. She created Style Rituals to be a fun and practical experience to get grounded, heal issues, practice self-care, build better boundaries, tap into your intuition & more. After straddling the fashion & wellness industries for the last 20 years, she developed her own brand of glamour magic by blending her experiences as a designer, stylist, brand consultant, healer, mentor, teacher, coach, author, and serial entrepreneur.

Her journey to becoming The Energy Stylist started in New York City.  She was working in fashion & realized that statement necklaces had superpowers, colors worn influenced a person’s energy & that her intuition could be used to heal herself & inspire others. Reiki.
What a wonderful, amazing guestI have here, Colleen McMahon.

(02:06):
Now, let me tell you about her.
Now, here's a little secret.
I was a tomboy, I was not intofashion, all these things.
However, I have two daughtersthat are fashion nieces.
I mean, amazing.
I tell everybody that they suckthe beauty out of me, but they
would love this.

(02:27):
I told my daughter aboutColleen, and she's like, whoa,
this is fascinating.
Now, Colleen created stylerituals to be a fun and
practical experience to getgrounded, heal issues, practice
self-care, build betterboundaries, tap into your
intuition and more.
Now, after straddling thefashion industry and wellness
industries for the last 20years, she developed her own

(02:49):
brand of glamour magic byblending her experiences as a
designer, stylist, brandstylist, healer, mentor,
teacher, coach, author, and aserial entrepreneur.
I love it.
Isn't it amazing?
I mean, so much wealth ofknowledge here.
Now, her journey to becoming theenergy stylist started in New

(03:10):
York City.
She was working in fashion andrealized that statement pieces
had superpowers.
Colors worn influence a person'senergy, and her intuition could
be used to heal herself andinspire others.
Now she ended up jumping highheel first down the mystical
rabbit hole, traveling all overthe world, studying healing

(03:31):
modalities, and eventuallyconnecting all of her skills and
passions to creating stylerituals.
So let's give a real ready-setReiki.
Welcome to Colleen.
Welcome.
This is so exciting.
My daughters are going to bethrilled by this.
They are intuitive.
I believe they're healers.
So they're going to be rightinto this.

(03:51):
Hi, Tracy.
Thank you for having me.
Beautiful.
So let's begin our journeytogether.
So I told our listeners a littlebit about you, but I know there
is a way more.
You you brought the word uprabbit hole, right?
So tell us a little bit aboutyourself.

SPEAKER_01 (04:08):
Yes, I have uh been exploring and adventuring in the
mystical rabbit hole for about20 years.
10 years first was all training.
And the last 10 years I've beenin business professionally at
style rituals.
And as you had mentioned, Istarted out in the fashion

(04:32):
industry, and it was um, youknow, my late, my late, I was in
my late 20s, probably like 27 orso, and um my sad and return
started kicking in for anybodythat doesn't know what that is,
when you hit your first sad andreturn in your late 20s, um, it
tends to flip your life upsidedown, which chaos creates great

(04:53):
change, right?
So, and chaos and change doesn'texactly have to be bad, but you
start to see people likeswitching jobs, moving across
the country, having babies, getting married, um, weird
things happening that arecausing great life shifts or
great um, you know, maybemental, physical, emotional,
spiritual awakenings.

(05:14):
And mine happened to be in thespiritual department, and I um
had all of my spidey senses kindof come online within about two
weeks, and that happening in oneof the loudest, most condensed
cities in the world was uhreally challenging.
And I can tell you, I startedhearing hearing voices in a

(05:38):
bodega in the middle of thenight, and then I started
watching ghosts walk through myapartment walls in Brooklyn into
my neighbor's apartment.
I was having premonition dreams, just knowing things that I
couldn't explain.
And the real cherry on top wasum being on the New York City
subway, and I had many differentpeople come up to me and say,

(06:01):
Hey, stranger, excuse me, I havea message for you.
Um you are a healer, and yourwhole life is about to change.
So that's where it started.

SPEAKER_00 (06:16):
Isn't that something?
I mean, I have been to New Yorka couple of times and the energy
there, so it does not surpriseme that you have let's call them
friends, yeah, show themselves.
Oh my goodness.
Well, what amazing uh andespecially when people are
coming up to you and tellingyou, you know, you have this
gift, you have this ability, andit's just it just surprises you.

(06:39):
It's like, really?
You know, me?

SPEAKER_01 (06:42):
Well, I didn't I didn't understand what they were
talking about because I grew upin the Midwest and in a strict
Irish Catholic family, they'rejust not part of the curriculum,
and it you know, I I I thinkpeople always show spiritual
awakenings, this like ahamoment, and like the lights

(07:03):
really big and angels aresinging, and I literally was
like, fuck my life, um, cryingin the corner, running away from
whatever this was that I didn'thave words for.
And you have to remember this isabout 20 years ago, so we don't
have we have no social mediaexcept Facebook is kind of
around.
Um, you can't hashtag healer,Reiki, shaman, crystals, any of

(07:29):
these words.
You can't go searching forthings, yeah.
It it doesn't exist yet.
So I was very much alone on myown island and completely like,
okay, um, am I crazy?

SPEAKER_00 (07:44):
Yeah, I was it made me think like, remember my
space?
That wouldn't have been a placeto show the crystals and the
healing.
We just had such limitedresources then, and and you
know, people think it's allmagical, and you're gonna walk
around in like a white dresswith a robe and be like, you
know, kumbaya, and it's reallyjust rocks your world.

(08:06):
I mean, you lose friendships andyour family questions you and
you're like, what's happening?
And oh my goodness, and gettingso overly emotional, right?
But it's returning you to yourtrue authentic nature.
So all this beautiful experiencethat you have, and we're looking
back to where you began on thisjourney with energy work.

(08:28):
So, do you think that the energywork found you or did you find
energy work?

SPEAKER_01 (08:36):
I think we I think we collided.

SPEAKER_02 (08:39):
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (08:40):
Okay.
We've we found we found eachother, I guess is the best way
to put it.
And I would say it was it'ssomething that's uh completely
changed the course of my life,my career, who I hang out with,
how I view the world, what mydaily practices are.
It really did shift everythingfor me and for the better, even

(09:05):
though it was definitely a bitof a rocky start.

SPEAKER_00 (09:11):
Beautiful.
Yeah, it's amazing once you getconnected and you start shifting
and changing that the peoplethat slowly move away, right?
And you know, then the peopleshow up.
I mean, I moved from Pittsburghto El Paso, and within a pretty
quick time, like the peopleshowed up.
And it doesn't matter that it'sbeen like only three years, they

(09:35):
feel like I've known themlifetimes.
It's like, wait a minute, likeyou know, and you get closer and
more supportive than family.
You probably found that too inyour industry, too, that you
have strangers who are moresupportive to you than cousins
and other relatives, so it'sjust amazing.
Absolutely.

(09:55):
So as you're in this journey, 20years, the modalities creating
your own modality.
What are some of themisconceptions that you're
finding about energy work?
Whether misconceptions that youhad or that people come up to
you and share with you.

SPEAKER_01 (10:13):
I think a common misconception is that you go
away for a weekend training in amodality, just pick one because
there's so many, and you becomewhatever that thing is.
It really, this is a a dailypractice, a live practice,

(10:34):
something that stays with you.
And I that always makes mereally nervous when I see people
that have um not in depthexplored whatever they're very
interested in, and um alreadyum, you know, kind of billing
themselves as this thing withoutproper experience or training,

(10:56):
whether that's through a formerformal school or a mentor of
some kind.
So I think that there's amisconception with how much it
takes, how much work andpractice it takes to uh kind of
cultivate and maintain whatyou're doing, because you also

(11:18):
um as a practitioner have tokeep your energy clean and live
in a certain way when you'rewhen you're working with
somebody.

SPEAKER_00 (11:29):
Yeah, I think people get so excited and then they're
so, I think in the UnitedStates, so money conscious that,
oh, look, I found this onlinetraining.
It is$9.99.
I can become a master in likethree days, right?
And then they just jump in andthen they jump out and they're
like, okay, I am ready to heal, heal, heal.

(11:52):
And then, you know, the energydoes take care of it, it will
shut it down.
I don't think people get that, you know, you need to get your
things in order, your houseclean before you can help others
because things pick up, youknow, unintentionally.
I've gone into situations beingcome feeling completely, totally
repaired, and something followsme home, or something happens to

(12:15):
my dog, or something happens inthe house.
I've been doing this like 30days of Reiki on Inside Timer,
and you know, clearing things, doing all the things I know to
do, and this starts breaking, and that starts breaking, and
this starts falling.
I'm like, hmm, right?
What is happening here?
Right.
Because the energy has to gosomewhere.
You have this collective of ahundred people that are watching

(12:38):
you, right?
And that energy is transmitted, whether it is in person or it's
online, and it's got to gosomewhere, right?
So shooting here and breakingthis.
I mean, big things werebreaking.
My laptop broke, my TV broke, Imean, my dishwasher broke.
And, you know, my reaction to itcould have been like, ah, but
he'll okay, this is what thisis.

(13:00):
We got to do a little bit morecleansing.
We're we're aware.
So, and it this is why you needsomeone.
Now, I don't want to put downany online learning because when
you become that master teacher, there are some great, fantastic
resources.
But when you start out, pleaseget a teacher if it's online and
they're physically like you andI are talking to guide you

(13:20):
through it to ask questionsbecause it can be quite
interesting.
And then, you know, you go fromworking on yourself to helping
others, and then you grow as abusiness, and then you come to a
point where you have to shiftand change and may pivot as
well.
So there's a whole lot to this, other than just you know,
placing hands and I'm going tolay it on you and make

(13:41):
everything okay.

SPEAKER_01 (13:43):
Yeah, absolutely.
And you know, I I was notinformed when I started this,
and um, with my journey, I endedup studying once a week with the
teacher privately for threeyears, and other mentors came
into my life and all kinds ofmodalities, and then like the
next big training was going to abig school for three years, so I

(14:04):
got to learn in a wildlydifferent environment instead of
one-on-one.
But like the whole rub of allthis is like what they don't
tell you and what's soimportant.
And I didn't know, as youmentioned, Tracy, like the
self-work, like you have tounderstand who you are,
understand your shadows, startto clear your shit, right?

(14:24):
We all have shit, that's whywe're the human body.
Like, healers are not perfectand don't have perfect days and
perfect lives and the wholething, right?
We are dealing with all the allthe normal human stuff.
Um, but it's so important to, Ithink, in my opinion, to like
get yourself as like clean aspossible, understand your

(14:45):
shadows, know why you're beingtriggered this way, know how to
be a uh the best cle channel foryour client that you can be, and
like step out of the way, right?
You're not there to um inputyour opinions, you're there as a
channel, right?

SPEAKER_00 (15:02):
Right.
And just you know, don't get sohyper-focused on the price,
right?
I mean, and do your homework onthe people too.
Like if someone has a lot ofcredentials and a lot of
experience, they're priced thatway for a reason, right?
And so uh versus like, okay, well, I'm gonna get this for
nine bucks.
And again, once you become thatmaster teacher, that might be a

(15:24):
fantastic resource.
There might be some great thingsin there, a little extra tools,
but to have that guidance ofthat physical teacher in the
lineage, that's how it'ssupposed to be, from teacher to
teacher to help you and be thatsupport too.
So you're honoring the system aswell.
And you know, when you thinkabout it, it's really the ego
where you're like, I'm gonna goout and heal and I'm gonna save

(15:46):
the world and put my super capeon, right?
You know, but you figureSuperman, look at the challenges
he had, right?
He had his kryptonite that tookhim down, right?
So everyone out there has akryptonite and the trigger, and
we have tools in our energetictoolbox for when it comes up,
okay.
And if that doesn't work, wehave the intelligence and we

(16:07):
healed our well made friendswith our ego that we can go to
those resources to get help aswell.
So, well, this one is you know, you're out there, you're helping
others here with their ritual, you're the spiritual stylist
here.
Uh, what has been the biggestchallenge or struggle you have
faced in your own healingjourney?

SPEAKER_01 (16:30):
Oh my gosh, the biggest or uh most challenging
thing I would have to say washonestly running away from this.
Oh yeah.
I I just and the more I ran, themore it came after me, the
louder it got, the the weirderthe things that were happening
around me.

(16:51):
Like I I couldn't ignore it.
And um once I actually startedto interact what was going on
around me, make make commitmentto go to a class, make
commitment to study with ateacher, read about something,
right?
Just believe it was happening.
I think that was that was my mybiggest challenge was uh being

(17:12):
the biggest skeptic.
And of course, for thereseasoned healers out there that
are listening, and really wiseadvice for people that are just
getting into this.
Um, whatever your big lifechallenges are or big mirrors
that you have, um, those are theclients that walk through the
door because that's things thatyou have faced and you've gone

(17:35):
through the challenge and youkind of understand all that.
Even right, I see people thathave very similar family
dynamics to me.
And that doesn't even need to belike ancestral trauma.
It could be like, I'm the oldestof three girls.
So I get people that come inthat are the oldest sister,
right?
And I'm like, oh, here we go.
I know all about this one.
Um, or people that worked infashion, or people that lived in

(17:58):
Brooklyn, or people that alsohad a really hard awakening.
So I think it's important tokind of work through ancestral
traumas, shadows, um, figure outwho you are, because whatever
all of that is is going to comeand knock on your door.

SPEAKER_00 (18:13):
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I I it makes me go back to whenI was uh you know doing teacher
trainings and the groups ofpeople, you'll see the
similarities.
They're either all teachers, allnurses, all getting a divorce,
all kinds of things that you'vekind of danced around with.
And it's like, isn't thisinteresting that the energy
works in a way that it kind ofbrings it together?

(18:36):
And it makes me think of um lastweek I got to see Wicked Good,
and uh, you know, Glinda wasalways people pleasing.
She was that political pawn inthe movie, and uh she was
supposed to be, you know, Glindathe Good, but the magic couldn't
work.
So when you think about it,that's the block because she

(18:56):
wasn't her true authentic self.
Where Alphaba was her trueauthentic self, and she made
reality bends, right?
To conform around her.
So, you know, Wicked's kind ofan interesting way of looking at
things too, with your what youneed to heal, right?
And what you got to work on andwho you can be your true
authentic self with.

(19:17):
And it even goes back evenfurther to like the original um
Wizard of Oz about, you know, following that yellow road with
your solar plexus and theemerald city being your heart,
all roads lead to your heart.
Absolutely beautiful.
So when it is time for you toget an energetic tune-up, what

(19:38):
are some qualities you look fora Reiki practitioner?
And if you do not get energetictune-ups, what are some
qualities that you look at asvery valuable for a teacher, for
you, like who attracted you wereattracted to the teacher that
you chose?
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (19:55):
Um, so I jumped down a lot of rabbit holes, as I
mentioned.
I'm I'm a Sagittarius rising, soI'm like incredibly curious,
incredibly adventurous.
Let me go learn abouteverything.
And I've always been a bigbeliever, and I would tell any
of my students or clients thisof like take what serves you and
and leave the rest behind.

(20:16):
Um, I would say when I waspicking schools, trainings,
teachers, mentors, anything thatfalls into that umbrella.
Um, obviously, first of all, there's a intuitive gut feeling
that you have to follow thatpiece of like, I've got to show
up here for some reason, even ifI totally don't understand where
this is taking me.
And I think there's also a pieceof of looking at um, as you

(20:40):
mentioned, Tracy, what is thisperson's lived experience that
they've they've had?
Have they been teaching a longtime?
Have you know, who are who arethey holding space for?
Does it even make sense for meto to be in this this training?
So I think I think what's reallyimportant is to like do your

(21:02):
research both internally andexternally, right?
You're like looking at all thelike facts and figures about
this person, this school to seeif it's a good fit.
And you're also internally like, does this does this resonate
with me?
Because just because, right, just because these two other
people you know went to thisschool and did did this with
this person, but your body'sjust like, oh, that's just not

(21:24):
for me.
Yeah, right.
That might not be the rightperson, the right lineage, the
right uh type of healingmodality that I'm supposed to
engage in for some reason.
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (21:34):
And I even do that like with hairdressers and
dentists and doctors.
And I remember years ago when Ihad to find a doctor, and this
is before all of this.
I looked up in the phone book, right?
Who remembers phone books?
I do, and I I saw Dr.
Mary Baker.
I'm like, wow, that's a reallynice name.

(21:55):
And that's how I picked mydoctor because it was just
something about the name and andbe careful who lays hands on
you, right?
And especially someone who'sgoing to be your mentor uh and
support you through these times, and you want someone that can be
available and say, hey, here'smy number, contact me anytime
with any questions.

(22:16):
I mean, I got trained five yearsago in this one particular
modality, and I can still reachout to that teacher with a
question because things come uptoo.
I don't have all the answers,and then I'll work with a client
and I'm like, okay, and thenI'll ask someone else, and like,
I've never had that happen.
Then I asked somebody else, I'venever had that happen.
I'm like, hmm, this isinteresting.

(22:37):
Like, I, you know, the peoplethat who are have walked a
little further on the journeythan me.
So things do come up that arejust very interesting.
I had uh a student that shemessaged me at three in the
morning and she said, Hey, Ithink your spirit guide's here.
I'm like, excuse me.
And she said, and I thought, well, that's interesting.

(23:00):
And that was the question Iasked my teacher.
Did you ever lose your spiritguide to one of your students?
And then at first I was a littleoffended.
I'm like, oh, they love me.
Like and the student describedwhat I had seen.
She didn't even know.
I'm like, I I know who that is.
That is, well, they're here.
I'm like, do you want me to askthem to come back?

(23:22):
No, they can stay.
So that was unusual, right?
So yeah, totally unusual.
Yeah, but you have to be healedenough to like that took me a
minute.
I'm like, okay, breathe.
They must have a purpose.
And maybe that guy came to meand supposed to go to her.
And that's a little bit ofinternal work there.
So absolutely.

SPEAKER_01 (23:43):
And Tracy, you really bring up such a great
point about like having havingan army of mentors right behind
you.
And I think about right, justbecause just because you work in
the healing industry doesn'tmean you're healed, doesn't mean
you have all the answers, doesn't mean all these things,
right?
Like you're you're you're stillworking through stuff like
everybody else.
And um I I I think about thething, like therapists have

(24:06):
therapists, right?
Yes.
Healers should have otherhealing mentors that they can go
to and and and talk aboutthings, some kind of like
trusted processor that to yourpoint, you're like, what happens
when you know my my spirit guygoes on walkabout?

SPEAKER_00 (24:23):
Like, yeah, what is this?
Yeah, yeah.
And I mean my and I haveactually have a new mentor
because I'm even I have all thisexperience and I have different
mobileities, I still keeplearning.
So I'm entering, I've enteredinto another kind of three,
four-year uh mentorship liketeaching program.
And my first one, I had anapprentice several years ago.

(24:45):
I apprenticed off of a masterteacher, and she had said things
um that ended up that I neededin the future.
And so that taught me I reallyneed to listen.
And one of the things that sheshared was, you know, as her
father was dying, um, shechanged the way she was giving
Reiki.
It was like, I'm saying, I wantto save you, I want to save you

(25:07):
to this is his journey.
I'm I need to do thattransition.
Little did I know, a couple ofyears later, I would be in the
same situation with my father.
And the one day I came into thehospital and I said, How are you
doing today, dad?
And he said, Just shoot me.
And it was in that moment, because he was getting 24-hour
Reiki at that point, you know, that I realized my teacher's

(25:30):
words, my mentor's words weremeant for me.
That story was meant to help me.
And then I realized I need toshift this for him to
transition.
He he's he's ready to go home.
And um that's why you need thatmentor, because those messages
are there to help you.
And I could have just given mydad a Reiki till the end and not

(25:53):
ready, but I had to make peaceand heal myself because I wasn't
really ready to let him go.
But absolutely, that'sunconditional love where you
know what he needed to go.
So that's part of the learningprocess as well, and and why you
need uh not why you need areally great strong teacher,
loving teacher, one that youresonate with when you feel

(26:14):
their energy.
So, as a serial entrepreneur, what advice would you give
someone who is just enteringthis spiritual work?

SPEAKER_01 (26:23):
Okay, that's a that's a great question.
Um, so somebody that's enteringspiritual work and probably
wants to like let's say start abusiness, start a small
practice, go out on their ownsomewhere in there, right?
I think something big that Ilearned was you never know how a
modality is actually going tokind of shake out for you, I

(26:47):
think.
Um like for me, I went to aschool that was extremely deep
in hands-on healing.
And I realized that I don't likehands-on healing.
I don't like to I I can teachit, I know it in and out, I'm
good at it.
I also don't like doing it dayin and day out, and I prefer

(27:10):
doing things that are moredivination-oriented and more a
chat between people, right?
More of a like therapy coachsetting.
It's just what I enjoy.
But I had to go to school tolearn to do that.
So I would say don't go in withlike a super hard plan about why
you're there.
There's been so many modalitiesI've studied that I'm like, hey,

(27:32):
this is really cool, and I'mnever professionally going to do
this, but I'll take somethingand put it into my personal
practice, or it's just somethingI needed to learn about for
whatever reason.
So I think having flexibility inhow whatever this modality or
modalities is is going to showup in your life, and to also let
it change my um work in theworld in the last 10 years

(27:58):
within the healing and wellnessindustry has had several big
shifts.
It my practice does not looklike it does the day I started
it.

SPEAKER_00 (28:07):
That's for sure.
It's that ability to pivot.
And I'm sure many of thepractitioners who've been doing
this 10, 20 years never imaginedonline, right?
That was a big adjustment forsome people.
And like, what are we gonna do?
But what a blessing it isbecause you know, we can
connect, we can connect all overthe world.
But yeah, when I went in for,you know, Reiki level one, it

(28:30):
was just to feel better, likethings weren't working.
I just was tired of grieving andgetting upset, and I wanted to
help my family, and I neverimagined, and I was more into
yoga, and so um we created likeI created like feather sister
yoga, and then it had to becomewellness, and then ready set
reiki came about.

(28:50):
And I have people say, Well, youneed like an umbrella, you need
it, you should have just hadready set Reiki, but I have
feather sister, now I've got twobusinesses, then I have beep
beep the yoga jeep, now it'sthree, you know.
I'm like, what's happening?
Like, and you kind of want thisone umbrella, so I'll often see
someone like I'll give you anexample like Reiki, Reiki
lifestyles.
Well, that's perfect, that's awhole thing, right?

(29:12):
Oh my goodness, and I've gotthree different things here,
right?
And then that do I merge it?
Do I keep it separate?
But each has a different thing.
But then when I look at mypersonality, I'm an Aries,
right?
Fire energy makes sense.
So you're gonna pivot and changeand question things, you're

(29:33):
gonna upgrade your uh website,so just go with the flow on
that, and it's necessary.
You know, we have this shifting, changing, the world's changing.
So we have to change as well.
So yeah.
So what books do you recommend?

SPEAKER_01 (29:47):
Uh well, I recommend my book, Crystal RX.
That's the first book Irecommend.
Um, so uh let's see, in 2018,Harper Collins asked me to write
a book on crystals, which I wassuper excited and honored to do.
And I really structured thatbook for beginners because I

(30:07):
wanted people that were justgetting into this and who didn't
have a manual, like I didn't,when I was first learning
crystals, that they could takeaway from this of like the
must-have crystals and where toput them and and how to do a
grid and how to make gem waterand how to clear your crystals
and how to clean them and whatcan't you put out under the full

(30:27):
moon and all and all thesedifferent things.
And since I have that backgroundin fashion, I really styled it
uh after a magazine.
So there were a lot ofinterviews in there with people
who worked all over um differentindustries with crystals so that
I could show people I'm like, hey, if this doesn't work for

(30:49):
you in this way, try this, right?
There's a there's there's athousand ways to do this.
So I would definitely recommendmy book.

SPEAKER_00 (31:01):
Beautiful, beautiful, love it.
I love it.
So you have a lot that you'reoffering, all your experience.
What services do you offer?
Do you do classes, events,trainings?
Tell us everything.

SPEAKER_01 (31:17):
Sure.
So as I mentioned, and you know,we're talking to people here if
they're just on the healingjourney and getting into this.
Uh, when I started 10 years ago,my um work looked strictly like
one-on-one in-person sessions inNew York and Los Angeles.
And then how did it pivot again?

(31:37):
I got into doing things online.
It was it was in the pre-COVIDera I started doing online, so I
felt very grateful.
I already had that structure inplace before the world changed.
Um, so then that happened.
Also, around that time, I gotinto doing very big events for
brands.
And again, I went where it feltnatural.

(32:00):
I've worked in fashion beautyand entertainment my whole
career.
So if there was like a makeuplaunch or a movie premiere or
some kind of party for somepress party, I would go and do
um mini crystal readings at allthese events, and people got to
take the crystal and they got totake it home in a little style
rituals gift bag, and it wasreally fun.

(32:23):
So, from there, at that time Iwas kind of behind the scenes
and learning more about spaceclearing work.
So I'm learning, learning, learning, different ways of
clearing homes and land.
And also at that time, I got alittle bit more into working
with corporations and doingthings that we would now call

(32:43):
like a wellness Wednesday ordoing small retreats with
companies.
Um, I can say no matter whetherit's individual or in some kind
of group setting, nobody evercalls me forward to work with
them unless they're goingthrough massive moments of
transformation and transition.

(33:04):
So whether that's somebodyprivately that, you know, birth,
death, divorce, uh big jobchange, right?
Like anything that could happenthere, or a company that's like,
hey, our creative team is stuck.
Can you help them?
Our C-suite's angry.
We are starting a new divisionto a company and need some
guidance on something.

(33:25):
So it's always in great momentsof transformation that I that's
been like probably the onlythread in my business, I would
say.
And um the space clearing hasreally taken off.
I was I was very lucky.
I I got a um big mention in theWall Street Journal Mansion
section about my my work withland clearing, and that's gotten

(33:49):
very, very interesting becauseagain, that's pushed me into a
realm that I'm working withpeople in their private homes or
uh contractors.
He he's got dirt, right?
And I'm going to grid the landbefore he builds something, or
working with interior designers, architects, um, who else?
Real estate agent, which hasgotten really interesting
because I will go in andenergetically clear a space

(34:13):
before or after the house hasbeen sold, depending on who the
client client is.
So yeah, um my work has reallyevolved and it and I will always
let it continue to evolve.

SPEAKER_00 (34:28):
Beautiful, beautiful.
And I can't tell people howimportant it is to do that
energetic clearing with thehouse.
I actually, a few months ago, umwhen I moved from Pittsburgh to
El Paso, my husband was alreadyhere, and my husband bought a
home where I physically did notwalk through, and I had dreams

(34:49):
about it.
I didn't, I was begging him toget out of it, and he's like,
You're gonna love it.
And I walk through the door, I'mlike, oh no, hell no.
And he wanted, yeah.
And we he said, This, I pickedthis room as your yoga and Reiki
room.

(35:09):
And I said, I can't even walk inhere.
No, and I went to each room andI'm like, I'm gonna go into this
one.
He goes, It's one of the smallerones.
I said, I don't care.
And I worked on that, but it wasthe land, and we live in an area
very close to the border, and ittook still three years to come
in, and I would have thepodcast, I would teach, I do

(35:32):
trainings, and someone wouldsay, You know, there's something
in your house.
Made friends with it.
And I even had theseconversations, you know, like,
um, uh, I'm gonna take care ofyou till the next family.
And my husband loved the house.
I mean, he was so attached tothis house, he would have left
me for it, right?

(35:52):
And I just couldn't understandthat connection.
And finally something shifted, and he's like, Okay, we can go.
And I mean, I got out of thereand I was interviewing a
gentleman on here, and he hadsaid after the uh our interview,
he said, There's something inyour land.
I said, I know.
He said, if you don't get yourhusband out of that house by
August, he's going to have aheart attack.

(36:15):
And I just went into thatwarrior Aries mode.
I'm like, I gotta get him outand got him out.
We moved out in June thatcleared things, you know, and
prayed.
And like, hopefully, that otherfamily, because my husband
couldn't feel it.
I had other people that walkedthrough that couldn't feel it.
But people that were in thespiritual world could feel it.

(36:35):
So I'm like, okay, and let itgo.
So it's so important.
So reach out when you're gettingthat new house, you're leaving,
you're building.
You know, I've heard people putcrystals.
Who was it?
Tyler that actor.
He they put Bibles in the landwhen before they built.

SPEAKER_01 (36:54):
That's interesting.

SPEAKER_00 (36:55):
So they put Bibles because it was an area down
south, I guess, um, withslavery.
So they they buried the Biblesin the land.
So it's really, really importantto clear that energy.
And when I moved in here, thesame person that told me to get
my husband out, he said, Oh,there's three spirits in the new
house, but don't worry, they'refriendly, they're gonna help

(37:15):
you.
So there we go.
So where can we find you?
Where if we want to book thissession, uh, how to get in touch
with you.

SPEAKER_01 (37:26):
Yes.
So if you are New York or LA, Ican see you in person.
Otherwise, I work worldwide onZoom, and you can book a session
at style rituals.com, and I'm onall the socials at style
underscore rituals.

SPEAKER_00 (37:42):
Perfect.
All right, well, this ends thefirst part of our journey, and
here I'm gonna guide you intothe second part where questions
from listeners and Reikistudents.
So here we go.
Number one, where do you see theenergy stylists creating or
manifesting in the next year?
So our year's coming up, theyear of the horse, 2026 here.

SPEAKER_01 (38:02):
Yes, so yes, the the fire horse, which we know is
like 2026, is the number oneyear, it's a year of new
beginnings, fire is you know, transformation, horses are like
fast moving.
And I will say I have a lot offun things coming up that I'm
not able to talk about yet.
Fair enough, fair enough.

SPEAKER_00 (38:23):
Number two, how important is self-care in
healing work?
You mentioned healing and highheels.

SPEAKER_01 (38:31):
Self-care is the most important thing in healing
work.
If you don't show up foryourself, you cannot show up for
somebody else.
Beautiful.

SPEAKER_00 (38:42):
Number three, can you share or talk about the most
powerful piece that you havecreated, whether it was a
jewelry or a physical item?

SPEAKER_01 (38:53):
Um I haven't, well, and I don't want to confuse
people, I haven't designedanything while I've been in the
spiritual space.
I used to be a designer and astylist, so that was a really
long time ago.
So I haven't designed anythingthat I could share at this

(39:14):
point.
Like I don't own a crystaljewelry company, if that makes
sense.
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (39:20):
Is there any particular piece that you
physically wear?
Oh, well.
That's that's what that one is.
Yeah, so I think that's whatthey meant when they submitted
it.
Is something that you have.
So creating is say, like I takethis and I, you know, imbue it
with the energy, you know, andmaybe yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (39:37):
Sorry, it was I used to design so my brain went so of
course, of course.

SPEAKER_00 (39:42):
I got you.
I'll design it.
Yeah, sure.

SPEAKER_01 (39:45):
Gosh, I wish I could pick up the laptop and take you
into my closet.
So um, I have a whole area ofjewelry.
I am a massive fan of crystaltalismans, and I wouldn't say
that I have one that is the mostpowerful, but I'm a very uh
practical person about energywork, and I wear something

(40:07):
because that's what I need towear today.
For example, I have on a clearquartz right now, and we know
that's amplifying.
I'm wearing white, which is veryamplifying because Tracy and I
are sitting here talking, and Ineed to be seen and need to be
heard and have my voiceamplified.
So I'm wearing something that'smedicinal for the moment that

(40:28):
you and I are in together.
So I say I always, I mean,crystals and color I'm wearing
with purpose.
If I'm at a full moon ceremony,at a fire, I'm I'm in all black
because in the traditions thatI've studied with, it's
traditional and for safety towear all black to that.
And hey, guess what?
It's also practical because ifsparks fly, there's dust

(40:50):
everywhere, you're kneeling onthe ground, you're on the you're
in the dirt, you're in the sand.
Like, don't wear white to a fireceremony for practical reasons.
It's the fashion stylist in metalking.
Um so so yeah, I guess I I lovemy talismans.
That would probably be myfavorite spiritual pieces of
buttons.

SPEAKER_00 (41:11):
And I don't know if like I've been doing the podcast
for a while.
I think I'm up to like 179 uhepisodes.
And if people pay attention, I'malways wearing black when I sit
down.
So I always have a black shirt, something long sleeve, have my
crystals.
I was sharing before we beganthat I can always tell a really

(41:35):
good um healer by my dogs.
So my dogs, I can tell you, areso close.
So calling's the real thing.
They're right here on thelaptop.
So there we are.
The gang's all here.
The gang is all here, snoozing, snoring.
There we go.
So our lot, um, so that was ourlast question.

(41:57):
As we were speaking, is thereanything else you have forgotten
or something that you want toshare to let everybody know
about you?
Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_01 (42:06):
I I mean, I think we I think we talked about
everything.
Um anybody that does resonatewith me, I'd be so excited to
talk to you, whether it's for aone-on-one session or some type
of little mentorship package, oryou're just getting into the
industry.
I work with a lot of people thathave just opened and are like,
what am I doing?

SPEAKER_00 (42:27):
Yeah, yeah, beautiful, beautiful.
Well, thank you, Colleen, forjoining me on this journey.
It has been so wonderful.
My daughters are going to be soexcited.
They're big fashion,fashionistas.
They love it.
So color, and uh, I was doingsomething yesterday where I had
to be on camera.
There was a film crew, and I waslike, Man, I wish my daughter
was here to do my makeup.

(42:48):
Well, thank you so much uh forjoining us.
Yeah, it's my pleasure, Tracy.
