(00:00):
Your general thoughts on the season as a whole.
OK, I think this season as a whole was more tolerable than
the past two seasons, yes, But the the ending itself was
brutal. And I know that a lot of that is
because they obviously didn't know that the show was ending
until when? I don't know, but it was.

(00:20):
There were so many rogue plot lines that I assumed that they
wouldn't have started if they weren't going to be able to
finish, like wrap them up withinthe last two episodes.
But I thought the episode, the season in general wasn't wasn't
as insufferable. There were parts that were
inseparable. Everything that involved Aiden
made me want to slam my iPad shut and then throw it in the

(00:44):
Potomac River because it was so violently disturbing.
But as a whole, not bad. And for for their standards, I
want to make that very clear. Like I was, I'm like, this is
top tier television. That was not the vibe, but for
this show, not bad. No, I completely agree that out
of seasons 1-2 and three, this was the best season.

(01:06):
I actually think in a lot of ways they were finding their
footing. Part of that is just that they
had no Che Diaz and Naya Wallaceand like love and light to those
characters, but it was just too many.
So like they slimmed down the cast.
I thought that was really smart. And then this is going to be a

(01:29):
hot take but like I actually liked a bit of the Aiden story.
Once it dragged on for like 6 episodes I was like fucking cut
it off. It was so repetitive too.
It was so repetitive but but actually her getting back
together with Aiden and then himstill having trust issues I
actually think is very relatable.
I liked when it ended. I will say that like I admired

(01:53):
that. I think that had to happen for
her. Like having a moment of like,
this is over and I'm like choosing to be alone versus be
with you. Someone who's like a comfort in
my life. Someone she had been with for 22
years. Shut up.
You were married like 6 days ago.
What do you need 22 years? That is literally insane cuz I

(02:14):
was like big is. Rolling in his grave like huh?
What do you mean by that? That pisses me the fuck off
because Big was supposed to be her.
Like one true love. That was the whole point of the
fucking theories, to be well andthat friendship is important,
but other than that? And female friendship, but.

(02:34):
Other than that, it was that bigwas her person.
Sure. And like and I get that even
they wanted to kill him off in the third movie.
If people didn't know that that they were going to do that, then
they didn't end up filming it. So then they killed him off in
the 1st 2 episodes of and Just Like That.
But I was like he wasn't cancelled in the TV show.

(02:56):
He was cancelled IRL and you arelike acting like he was
cancelled in the show. Well, I also think, I don't
know, I think the killing Big off and the Aiden, the Aiden
resurgence was like their sloppyway of trying to make everyone
happy, of trying to be like, if you were team Big or you were

(03:19):
team Aiden, it doesn't matter because she ends up with both of
them. And I just think that in and of
itself is so unrealistic. So it's like, as much as I was
happy because there was like theearly, early Aiden and Carrie in
and just like that was like cuteand wholesome, but the second he
was going back to Virginia, it'slike this, OK, this isn't going

(03:41):
to work. And you have to know that.
Like it was so unplausible at that point.
But I, I, I think, I think therewas just in a weird way, I feel
like they let the fans dictate that too much because I felt
like they were trying to piece that, but then like, it just
like didn't work the way that they wanted it to.
Yeah, I don't know. I felt sloppy.

(04:02):
It felt sloppy because yeah, I Ido think like, you're right,
Aiden was a huge comfort for her.
She obviously really loved him. Also, they probably dated for
like a total of like fucking twoyears.
So like, that also is so weird. Like he had, he had three kids
over 20 years in those 22 years,like, so I don't know what she's

(04:25):
saying. And is it one of his kids?
One of his kids just turned 21. Yeah.
So how is that even possible? So the math is literally not
adding up there. No the.
Mathy, which apparently there's like so many.
I fell down a rabbit hole this morning after I watched the show
because I still unfortunately had hours until we sat down to
report this podcast. So it was filling the void by
scrolling on TikTok about the show and I saw these people just

(04:48):
pointing out so many plot holes. So many apparently like
apparently in season 1 of and just like that.
I hate saying that. It just like doesn't roll off
the tongue and it never will. But Lisa said that her dad just
died. Yes.
And then yes, like. Come on, people.
