(00:00):
Let's dive in. So this has been like, there's
some rumors over the last coupleweeks, but I was still really
surprised when I heard that MissTaylor, Alison Swift bought back
her masters and all the stuff that came with that unreleased
music to her docs, etcetera for $360 million.

(00:20):
You know, there are definitely been rumors, of course, Like is
she going to do all of it? It does feel a little bit
unfinished, like starting all ofthe Taylor's versions and then
not doing the last passed too. And I know people have said
maybe it was because she just couldn't emotionally get into a
place to record reputation, which is very interesting
because I feel like the Internethas developed this narrative

(00:43):
that they're running with that. Like, she doesn't even care
about Joe because she's so happywith Travis.
But I have always firmly been inthe camp that like, first of
all, one of my predictions I think for 2025 is that her and
Travis are going to break up andwe will hear of her and Joe
getting lunch together in England or something.
Because I just feel that that isunfinished in some way.
I don't yet know how, but if thereason she couldn't record

(01:08):
Reputation is because she feels so strongly about him, I think
that's kind of T even though she's saying it's just because,
you know, it was of the moment and now it's different.
I hope that we do get vault tracks.
I'm excited to hear it the Taylor's version of debut
because like the different vocals on that are going to be
so incredible. But I have to admit, like when I
saw the photo of her with all ofthe albums and the caption on

(01:28):
Instagram said you belong with me and it's her and all of her
albums. I mean, how can you not feel a
little something fluttering in your chest?
Like it just feels that's right.Totally.
I I think the same thing, Yeah, the reps of like, it's like
she's like, it's a perfect albumand I can't get, I think that
maybe was 1989 the last rerecordwe got.

(01:48):
God, I really don't know the order I think it was though.
I think so. And like, I think the criticism
of that rerecord, which is crazybecause it's literally an album
that has been released before, was like that she didn't have
the same passion on like some ofthe songs that she does on the
original. And I guess I get that for Rep,

(02:11):
but I'm like, but we've seen herperform these on the Airs tour
and she had lots of spunk. So like so it.
Was the producing like style done on the original album is so
good and then on the re record it was just not the same.
So honestly for some of the songs I would listen to
Scooter's version back in the day because you just want the

(02:32):
original song and the feelings and everything to do with that.
And I don't know, part of me also wonders like, and maybe you
don't have the emotion. Surely you can fake it, right?
Like singing a song. It's not like you have to live
in a different emotion for sevendays straight as your life is
live streamed. You just have to hit a note like
and you get multiple different chances to redo it.

(02:53):
These aren't a live performance.So I I do wonder if maybe one
day we'll hear her be like, I actually fucking hated doing
Taylor's version or blah blah blah.
But I think the best thing to come out of it were the vault
tracks. Totally, yeah.
I feel like she's obviously itching to release new music and
I think like we got the 12 I's in the letter that she wrote and

(03:14):
stuff like that. So I'm assuming TS 12 is coming.
But like, I get it, it is an annoying project, but like the
vault tracks and stuff like thatlike that is good.
Like that adds to the lore and stuff like that.
So I'm like, I don't, it's not like a full waist, but like it
is a lot of work for probably like in her case, very little

(03:35):
pay off. Do you think it's a lot of work
though? I think she has lofty goals with
like producing or acting or writing or like I I feel like
she does want to try her hand atsomething else but I feel like
just the music stuff takes up somuch.
Like when would she have the time?

(03:56):
I feel like you could get it alldone in a day, right?
I mean, it depends how how somebody does it.
But I would imagine the bulk of the work is hiring other
producers to remake it because, for example, like if Max Martin
isn't redoing songs from 1989, you have to have everybody else
do it. But if all she's contributing
with no shade, like she already did the hard work of writing the
lyrics and things like that. But if all you have to do is

(04:18):
sing, surely you could, you know, bang out an album in the
time space of a week. If no, you're right.
I'm imagining her like doing allof the stuff but.
She's not doing the mixing, Yeah.
I mean. I would imagine she'd pay
someone else to do that. Yeah, totally, totally.
Like I was imagining her like inthe booth, like doing all the
stuff. But you're right, it is.
I'm assuming. Yeah, just the vocals.

(04:39):
So yeah, we'll see. I guess.
She's so particular about like everything, like every little
thing. And.
But I'm like, OK, debut is done, let's get that out and then we
can move on to something else. Yeah, especially in the summer
too. It's been a while since we've
really seen anything from her, so I would love to have the

(04:59):
debut done. Totally, Especially because
there's like I was listening to some of Debut this week and I
was like, her voice is like it'sa child's voice and I'm just
excited to like really hear the difference.
I really like the songs from Debut.
Too. Me too.
Me too, thank you so much for listening.
