Should you apply for a New Credit Card while you're trying to buy a house?Absolutely not! Applying for new credit after you're pre-approved could have a negative impact on your credit score. The best thing you can do is continue to do your job, continue to get paid, and continue to make your scheduled payments on-time. Don't quit your job. I actually had a customer that did this about 10 years ago and "no", he didn't get the house. Don't check your credit. Don't co-sign for somebody else on their debts. Don't buy a new car, or else you may end up living in that car... and Don't change your banks while you're in the pre-approval process. Just don't do anything financially unless your lender recommends or requests it. If your credit score is keeping you from buying a house, a good lender can help you make some good choices to help improve your credit score and get you ready. Call or text me if you'd like a referral to a good lender. My number is 360-708-2929.

Amit Baruch and I have been friends in and out the real estate industry for over 20 years. He is a first rate lender and a great person! His mortgage lending office recently set up an in-house podcast studio with all of the bells and whistles and Amit invited me up to Kirkland to do a podcast! This was a combined "Yay!" and "Oh Shit!" experience for me as I've never done anything like this before. Fortunately for me, I had my friend Amit there to walk me through it. Just like he does with home loans, he helped make a very complicated thing into a simple thing. I hope you enjoy the podcast. Please let us know what you think of it in the comment section below. ,br>
