This week on Real Talk, we get real with Susan Ramirez, is the founder and CEO of National Angels, a nonprofit focused on showing foster children and families love and community, and providing them the support they need. She found her calling for this by piloting a Love Box Program (which they still do) and it grew into Angel Chapters all over the nation, intending to put a chapter in every metropolitan city.
In this week’s episode, we talk about all things foster care and love. Honestly, this was a powerful episode for me coming from foster care. Her mission is one that changes kids' lives, and I can only imagine what it would have done for me as a child (that’s not me feeling sorry for myself, it’s me acknowledging how HUGE this program is). Listening to her story is a motivational and inspirational experience (and fair warning it may bring a tear to your eye.)
