Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome to Realm
Jumpers.
I'm Andrew and this is myco-host, jordan.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hey everyone.
We're here to dive into theworlds of fantasy and anime,
bringing you epic stories andunforgettable adventures.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
We'll be talking
world building, unforgettable
villains and everything thatmakes these genres legendary.
So let's jump into the realm.
We're not here to argue Gokuversus Saitama.
This isn't about who wins in afight.
This is about the physicallystrongest, most insanely jacked,
(00:38):
overpowered titans in animehistory.
From demigods and shadowmonarchs and muscle-bound heroes
, we're celebrating raw power atits most absurd.
Oh, this is fun.
This will be a good one.
Oh yeah, bro, I think this is along time coming, and this is
usually like one of those topicsthat immediately makes
everybody go rage mode and arguefor one person or the other.
(01:00):
You know what I mean?
No, rage.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
This isn't about that
.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, right, yeah
this isn't about that.
This isn't.
You know, uh goku, strongerthan you know.
Whoever like, we're not doingthat, we're just going straight
up, straight up strongest, thestrongest anime characters and
you know this isn't a conclusivelist, we'll probably miss a few
, but these are some of the mostimpactful ones, we think oh
(01:23):
yeah, absolutely, and just fun.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
You know, and we are
gonna go, you know we're gonna
go one at a time.
But this is not like number oneis a strong, like that's not
what we're doing, that's not howwe're listing it, like that
everybody.
So don't come for us in thecomments that we're, you know,
ridiculous or we miss this guyor that girl or whatever.
Just just just just have somefun with this one, all right
yeah again, raw strength, notmagic, not mind games, just
(01:49):
hands you know that and that'sthe best one.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Right just hands,
just just knocking dudes out,
right absolutely I guess weshould say though, you can use
magic if it makes your handsstronger, but like that's not
the main factor, you know, okay, yeah, because you know some of
the broken powers like I cancontrol reality, like it's over,
like what do we, even you know?
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I mean yeah, exactly,
yeah, that's not, we're not
talking.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah, yeah yeah,
we're not talking about magneto
here like that's one of the bestpowers in any universe period,
but it doesn't actually make himstrong and no death.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
no, oh, I wrote your
I win.
We're not doing that, okay.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
This is like throwing
hands.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Who can you know?
Who could, who could just knocksomeone out?
So I mean we got to kind ofstart with Rock Lee, right?
I mean, boy was made with handsLike he got no feet.
He's just hands, hands and feet, hands and feet, you know.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Dude, and I'm telling
you, man, and I think this is
probably in the top 10 episodelist for everybody that enjoys a
good, you know, fight scene inan anime, that scene when he
takes off the weights, bro, anddrops them, dude, just complete
like call back to Dragon.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Ball right, that's
like the chills man you know, he
just takes it off and it slams.
And I think he's fighting Gaara, if I remember, and he's like
wait, or Sasuke, one of them, and they're like wait, what he's
got weights on.
I mean just the character alone.
Man, all these guys got firepowers and lightning and jutsu.
And this boy's like yeah, Ijust beat people up, he just
(03:18):
kicks and punches.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
And he's such a good
dude.
I just opened up my 12th.
I just opened up my 12th, Ijust opened up my ninth or my
12th gate, the 48th gate Fucking, murder people.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, rock Lee was
just a good dude and he wasn't
even like a jerk about it.
You know, he was like a goodnatured dude so you couldn't
even get mad at him.
But epic scene, man, you ain'tlying.
When he freaking drops that andhe just goes in, I mean pride,
so bad that homeboy was going togo into the hospital and murder
(03:48):
him in his sleep just to, youknow, soothe his own ego.
That's pretty.
You know, come on, man, that'spretty, pretty legit.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
yeah, absolutely I,
yeah, I.
I think one of the things, though, that I like about rock,
leave them um, and and some ofthis comes from my guy, you know
, just because that was who hismentor was but the the way that
he turns, he can turn anyscenario into a training
scenario.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh, I love it.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Everything's
motivation to get stronger dude.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
That's not power,
fantasy, trip stuff, right.
That's like a legitimate driveto want to be the best, to want
to be the strongest, to want tobe this.
I can appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I love that, a lot of
that.
And my guy, you gotta think, like his rivals, kakashi, this
dude should just look at you andcopy your jitsu.
Like you know, he had to comeup with these stupid games to
like I beat you in this.
So therefore we're you know andyou want to talk about.
I mean he's not on the on ourlittle list here, but my guy
obviously should be, becausehe's the trick teacher.
But when he uh does all gatesand fights Madara and just
(04:43):
Madara himself goes.
I respect you Like dude, thoseboys, rock Lee and my guy, not a
level for sure.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
And I think so part
of, for me, one of the reasons I
didn't want to put my guy upfor the list, like I didn't want
to stack a list with theuniverse and another universe
and then we're done, and thenwe've only talked about eight
people and two enemies like yeah, we gotta jump around yeah like
right I?
I was like, for my portion ofthe list I was really just
(05:11):
trying to come up with the mostimpactful person in that
universe and for me that's rocklee in the naruto universe yeah,
especially with this, like youknow, hands thing.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah, absolutely all
right.
Well, next one I he don't needno introduction, right, come on.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
None, no introduction
at all, and this is what hands
down your favorite character inthe world, I mean he's up there,
man.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
It's just, it's guts.
All right, Come on everybody.
We all know we're going tothrow guts in there.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
The man's wielding a
sword the size of a tree.
Come on, dude Like.
What are you talking about, bro?
His name is guts.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Dude like, if you
ain't strong, you know like, if
you ain't bad, you ain't got nobusiness with the name guts dude
and think, like pre berserkerarmor, like boy was just a
knight, like a mercenary rockinga sword three times bigger than
him, cutting horses in half, like what are we talking about,
man?
This dude is just, he's just.
He's that guy.
I mean obviously before therage too, I mean just straight
up, and then if he gets ragefulgame over, I mean 100 man slayer
(06:08):
guy.
What are we talking about?
Speaker 1 (06:11):
well, this is
probably going to be blasphemous
for all the uh hardcore berserkfans, but in the uh in the 2016
anime, when they, when theyrebooted- or not rebooted, but
that's like continuation.
Yeah, no, it wasn't on netflix,I think it was on.
I think it was on yeah, you, you're talking about the uh the
(06:31):
terrible 3d animation one.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yes, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yes yeah, the the
super grainy, all cgi anime.
Yeah, I know blast, completeblasphemy.
But that first episode, I thinklike that's one of those things
that highlights his strength, right, that first episode, or,
or it does it very well becausehe walks in there.
He walks into a bar that'ssupposed to be a hangout for you
(06:54):
know, the baddest dudes aroundat least in that area, you know
what I mean and he walks inthere and just shuts everybody
up with one punch dude.
And then, you know, later on inthat episode you see him in the
middle of the field fighting, Idon't know, countless skeletons
, like it's just his thing, youknow he shows up raging baddest
mofo around is there anybody inthat universe stronger than guts
(07:17):
I mean god hand, maybe, maybegriffith.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
But my favorite like
strength feat for him is when
he's fighting um, I can'tremember the guy's name, big old
dude and bunch of armor in hishorse, armored everything, and
his sword breaks.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
You're like oh, and
zod throws him oh dude, what are
we talking about, man?
Ripping your arm out of afreaking dude's mouth, that's
true, right, pulling on it andjust until it rips.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I mean that scene who
can't blame him?
But he grabs the sword from xodand just cuts the guy and the
horse in half at the same timelike dude guts, is just another
level of of astronomy.
But yeah, he's out there.
Yeah, it's insane, he's.
Uh, he's a goat for sure.
All right, I know you put thisnext one in.
Do this next.
This one's pretty cool well.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
So I think this next
one's kind of like the
counterpoint to Guts.
It's a very similar charactertype, right, like this character
doesn't really have anyspeaking as far as action wise,
it's.
To me it feels like a verysimilar, like visceral character
and that would be Hercules orBerserker from Fate, stay Night,
and I don't think that dudesaid an entire word other than
(08:23):
grunts the entire series.
But I mean it's freakingHercules dude.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
It's a literal
demigod.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Screaming On top
Right, exactly On top of just
you know the overwhelmingphysical strength.
I mean, the dude can't die.
The only reason, the onlyreason was it Gilgamesh won or
no?
Isn't that Gosh?
I can't remember.
Is it Gilgamesh won or isn'tthat Gosh, I can't remember.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Is it Gilgamesh?
I don't remember.
I haven't seen that in so long.
I know he loses.
It might have been Gilgamesh, actually I think.
I think it was Gilgamesh.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
And.
But the only reason he won isbecause he kept overwhelming him
with the you know his noblephantasm?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, and that's not
strength by magic.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, just over,
hands down over, yeah, yeah, in
any world that hercules shows up.
You know he's like dude.
It's freaking mythology.
It's one of the strongestcharacters in mythology,
whatever you put him in dude.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, no, he's gonna
be goat and he just, I liked in
the fates day that he was kindof like just, he was like
insanity incarnate, which israge, like just total, you know
non-stop, just go.
Oh yeah, boy was insane, he wasinsane.
The girl, right, the littlegirl's, the one that was his uh,
master or whatever, yeah, justthe level I.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
So I, I think if
there happened to be any dads
listening, I, I think that partresonates with you know, anybody
that's a dad, because you're,like you can be the you know
craziest mofo out there and likehe was literally insane and the
only thing that made sense tohim to protect a little girl.
Oh yeah, like that's just.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
That's gonna resonate
with any dude that's a dad, you
know, and probably most dudesperiod, but definitely any dude
that's a dad yeah, absolutely,man, I am 100% with yeah, I
always.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Uh, I knew he wasn't
going to be the the winner of
that tournament, but you kind ofwanted him to, just because he
was such an iconic, like just oh, yeah, you know, yeah, for sure
, I I mean it's yeah, no, I Idefinitely, like there wasn't
anybody else that you reallywanted to win more than that guy
, because, uh, who else wasthere archer yeah, he was an ass
yeah, lancer, he was an ass hewas a great character, but he
(10:26):
was also an ass, um.
So yeah, berserker was a great, the best character I mean what
saber come on, come on yeah Imean she's great, but like
there's there's too much uh,there's there's too much
morality and like, uh, ethicswrapped up with saber.
So she's got too much going onher head.
You know what I mean.
Like she probably could berated up there for one of the
(10:46):
stronger characters well, yeah, but especially with her.
She's got too much going on herhead.
She gets in her own way yeah, absolutely no, he was, he was
stand out absolutely dude, yougot to bring this next one
because you know more about thischaracter than I do oh yeah,
dude.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
So I mean we gotta go
.
Uh, king of hands, erin fromattacking.
I mean the boy just wants tobeat Titans to death.
That's all he wants to do isrip their heads off, kill them,
stomp them.
His Attack Titans just straightscreaming at the world fighting
, and then, of course, by theend of it, my God, the rumbling.
I mean the dude's justsummoning Colossal Titans as if
(11:22):
they're flies.
He just flicks it all over theplace like come on, man dude,
just straight up trying todestroy the world I.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
I don't have as much,
like I said, I don't have as
much experience with thatcharacter in that show.
Like it's not that I've watchedzero of it, it's just I'm not
done with it.
And even though I am in it,it's not my favorite show like I
, so I just don't get into it asmuch as I do some of the other
shows.
But just the clips I've seen ofAaron, you know like it's, I
(11:49):
don't know that's beast mode ona, on a different level.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Oh yeah, dude, he's
just straight like screaming and
just I'm going to kill thisTitan in front of me.
Can I kill all of them?
And you front of me could havekilled all of them and you know,
tag of times, a great story andeverything, but it really and I
love the ending and I lovewhere it went and stuff, but
(12:13):
those beginning few seasons wereso just interesting, because
this dude is going to make themall pay for what they did, type
thing.
And who wouldn't get behindthat after what they did to his
mom?
Come on, anybody would wantthat.
You know you're living in acage.
You want to be free.
You can't, because these thingswill eat you.
You know, like, come on, thenyou get the power to smash them
to pieces.
Like, of course, yeah, great, great series the titans are
terrifying, dude terrifying andthe worst part about them and
(12:38):
it's like as terrifying as theyjust straight eat you alive as
you're screaming and you're likegetting chomped on.
They don't even eat you forsustenance at all.
They literally throw them backup.
It's terrible.
They're just eating you becausethey want to.
It's so messed up, it's noteven for food, it's for fun.
I don't know, dude, it's justhorrible, it's not even for
(12:58):
anything.
It's just like I'm going to eatyou and then when they find the
bodies thrown up later, you'rejust like what they're just
doing.
It like just in their nature, terrifying yeah just because
just because it's fun, I don'tknow.
Yeah, I should give you thisnext one, since you're you're
kind of in it now I mean so,yeah, the next one up.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
We got all might and
I know we said this wasn't going
to be magic based and again youknow it's not.
Technically, magic has to giveyou like strength, right so all
might fits into that category, where it is back here yeah, all
my back there behind me dude, all might I.
So I'm, I'm knee deep in seasonthree right now.
Um, it's been out long enoughthat I can say this I'm at, I'm
(13:38):
right at the, the part wherekachan gets snatched up, um, by
the, uh, the villains league, the league of villains, whatever
they're calling themselves.
So like he's just been abducted, but all might in the.
You know the little bit of timethat he is in the episodes.
Um, he's just got a presenceright, like it's.
He's like hercules slash, Idon't know man, it's wild.
(14:02):
Like you can roll up quite afew characters into All Might,
and I think All Might might beable to stomp them.
And that's the cool thing.
I know we're not doing ahead-to-head, but I no, I mean,
you're not wrong.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
You haven't even got
to like the really really good
stuff with him, so there's evenmore, but you're not lying.
His presence is so felt in likealmost every character good or
bad, to be honest in that show.
It's just so interesting andthen he's on screen and it's
just like he steals the show.
Every time the dude's on screenhe's such a good character,
(14:33):
like it's just I.
I think it's the voice actortoo is a big part of that.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
What we talked about
he's like a better version of
superman, because at least he'sfunny he's funny and he's just
like.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Like you said, he's
not the best teacher, he's like.
I don't know why you can't doit he's a terrible teacher, you
know okay, he needs help.
Yeah, I don't know, dude wetalked about this before.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
That's like michael
jordan right, he's the michael
jordan like.
No, no wonder that dudecouldn't coach, because he's
like I don't know, bro, you justshow up and make shots like
that's what the freak do it likeyeah he had to put in a lot of
practice, but the natural talentwas there yeah, all might.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Uh, he's a great,
he's gotta be on the list, man.
I mean, he's all hands detroitsmash.
Oh yeah, come on, let's go thatdude.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
I love the name of
that too.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Just detroit smash
like that's just a great name
for a for a combo well, what'sso cool is that he's japanese
but he trained in america, soall his hero super moves are all
american states, cities, likeall this stuff.
And you know, it's funnybecause then he comes back to
japan as the number one hero andhe's wearing blue and red and
(15:35):
what like.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
He looks like america
with blonde hair and everything
, but he's yeah, it's kind offunny so I guess I just haven't
made it that far yet, which isfine, like I, it's not.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
It's not a huge no,
it's a yeah, it's not a spoiler,
but it's part of the.
Uh, it's in one of the moods.
So the thing with my hero isthey do the little animated
movies.
There's like three or three ofthem or four of them, and
they're technically canon, likethey are part of the storyline.
They don't impact the showreally, but there are parts that
show um, I'm sorry, one for all, and he was training in america
(16:12):
.
So you see it like you see that.
So they tell you, yeah, butyeah, he trained there.
That's where he got.
He had a cape, he used to havea cape and stuff and then he
came back and he changed some ofhis stuff.
But yeah, he's, uh, he's allgood.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
I don't know man,
like probably the best fight
scene I've seen him in was whenjumps in when the legal villains
attacks the us, you know theusj and uh, he jumps in to fight
the, the big nomu character, and just like dude, like he's in
it for all of five minutes andit's just fantastic.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Wait until you see
some of the later stuff you're
gonna be like oh yeah, I can'tyeah, he's.
Uh, dude, he's great.
He's such a good character.
You gotta do the next one, because I did watch it, but I
think you you're more into thisone than me.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
I don't know, man, I
don't know if I'm into it more
than you, or just like so.
Escanor from the Seven DeadlySins.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
He was my favorite in
that show.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
So if you don't know
who Escanor is, he has got peak
power at high noon, right, it'skind of like your boy uh, from,
from.
Uh, it's kind of like your boyfrom mha, you know, the dark
raven guy can't remember hisname right now but in reverse,
like at peak noon, the man's atthe height of his power and for
me, like the reason why I lovethat character so much is
(17:26):
because he's I don't know.
It's just funny to watch him gofrom like the humble like a guy
.
He's like a butler yeah, atmidnight, just as the day
slightly gets longer, like youknow, as the morning starts to
wear on, he just gets a littlebit cockier and a little bit
cockier until we're at peak, youknow, high noon, and he can
(17:47):
fight anybody and he's like, andhe's bluffed and like I'm
asking that's who the?
Yeah, yeah, he's like.
That's who the f?
Speaker 2 (17:54):
I am I'm asking, or
I'm like I'm gonna, I'm the guy,
and then he's got these rocksthe mustache.
No, he's a cool character man.
I'm funny.
He's my favorite in sevendeadly.
And then bond is my secondbecause I like his character.
But in meliodas is cool.
But eskimo is just like he'sthe guy, dude.
He's like you're gonna standagainst me or you're gonna die
(18:15):
right, like you know, you'regonna lose.
That's what.
It's just the guy.
Pride embodiment man just readyto.
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
I think also for me
that thing about eskenor is.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
You know, those
pictures of those old boxers, oh
, you know, what I'm talkingabout like it'd be like that old
shirtless boxer and he'sstanding there like that and
he's got the big curly mustache.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Dude, that's, it's
just.
It looks like eskenor and itjust.
It makes me crack up everysingle time.
But I mean, hands down, thedude is one of the strongest in
you.
But yeah, I think he's inuniverse guy at peak noon yeah,
no, he is.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
and then I think he
he liked uh, merlin, right,
that's what, but he was alwaystimid and he wouldn't say
anything.
And then when he's Eskimo andhe's all big, you know, he's
super big, he's like what's upgirl, you know, like great
character man.
I love his character.
He's definitely fun.
I mean obviously we got to puta good old sight to him from One
(19:08):
Punch man.
I mean, yeah, yeah, he's awalking gag, but that's the
point right, one punch, you win.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
It is a fun show,
though I well okay.
So what do you know about thebackground, about this story?
Because I, I swear to god, likewhen this first came out and I
first read the blurb you knowabout one punch man, I was like
are they just imitating brucelee?
And like you know the one inchpunch thing?
And like elevating that to likethe next level of crazy.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
I mean, here's what's
so weird about this story is
that it's an action story, number one.
There is comedy, but it's moreaction and the art's amazing.
The manga art's amazing.
The first season's amazing.
The second season we'll see.
Hopefully the third season.
They pick it up and they dobetter, but the fighting is
really great, which is weirdbecause he does only really use
(19:58):
one punch most of the time.
Um, but the way that they getit's weird.
They don't really explain thatwell, the way you get powers.
This universe is kind of likedifferent for him.
He used to have hair.
He was kind of a losersalaryman type character.
A crab villain attacked the kidand he got in the way and saved
the kid and, you know, got hurta little bit.
And then somewhere along theway he started doing a hundred
(20:22):
push-ups, a hundred pull-ups,running I don't know it was 10
miles, whatever it was.
And then because someone he'sfinally, how did you get this
strong?
So he tells them they thinkhe's trolling them.
That's what's so funny, buthe's really not, tro.
Because he's finally like howdid you get this strong?
So he tells them they thinkhe's trolling them.
That's what's so funny.
But he's really not trollingthem.
He's like you got to do it fora whole year and then in the
winter you can't use heat, inthe summer you can't use AC,
like that's all he said.
And no one believes this dude.
(20:44):
But during this training of himin that year he would fight
villains and he loved the fightlike he loved, he felt alive
when he was fighting.
He loved it.
And now it's he's so strongthat he's like bored and he's
just like, okay, well, I'm stillgonna help.
(21:06):
But the funny thing about it isthat all his feats that he's
done, no one has seen it thatit's been him.
So this guy, king, who has,he's a loser.
He got no power.
Everyone thought he.
They saw him at one of thethings and thought, oh, it's him
, he's the guy who's beating him.
So everything he's ever done, king is the s ranked hero, the
strongest human on earth, oh no.
(21:27):
So this dude has all of theaccolades that that one punch
man should have side, so muchyou'd have.
So then he finally goes to getlike ranked like they, you know,
judge the power, and he breaksit and they're like, oh, it must
have malfunctioned.
So he's ranked like c orsomething.
It's the funniest thing in theworld, but meanwhile king is is
(21:47):
ranked one.
So, like, the funny thing withking is they call it the king
engine and it's his heart that'sgoing so fast because he's
scared to death that he's goingto die.
And King, I don't know if he'slike luck incarnate, but he
always works out and he alwaysgets away with it and he's fine
and that's like the whole thing.
So it's really a funny show, but the action is actually
really good, which is what's soweird about it, because it's
(22:09):
such a fun story.
And is what's so weird about it?
It's just such a fun story andand you never think he's gonna
lose like that's not the pointwhen you're watching.
You know saitama's if he'sthere, he's not gonna lose.
But is this villain gonna pushhim to actually use more than
one punch?
And there's been a few wherehe's had to use more than one
punch, and even his special moveis that called serious series
punches.
That's what he calls hisultimate attack serious, serious
(22:30):
punch number, whatever.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
So it's a fun show,
but yeah yeah, he is really cool
.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
The problem with him
is that you know these lists,
this vert, you know, like wesaid, goku's this that how can
you compete with a guy who hiswhole thing is one punch and he
wins like it's.
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (22:46):
you can't really so
how many of his fights took more
than one punch?
Speaker 2 (22:50):
only a couple, only
the in the first season that
Alien Duty fought.
But the thing is I think he wasalso trying to prolong the
fight like a little bit ofKenpachi, because he's like I'm
having fun actually, so he maybedidn't hit as hard.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
So he wasn't using a
serious, serious punch.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
No, it was like he
was having fun and then later on
there's some battles that hereally does have to go pretty
all out and it's more than justa few punches, you know one
punch.
But it's a fun show.
I mean like it's a legit seriesbut it is kind of funny.
But all the characters aroundhim are like super interesting
and fun.
Like the cyborg guy.
Genos wants him to train him.
(23:28):
He's like I don't train people.
He's like well, I'm gonna beyour student, you know, it's
like it's he like forces himselfto be a student and stuff.
But it's, it's cool.
But you gotta throw him on thelist, man.
I mean, he's one punch, oh yeahno absolutely, absolutely.
Well, you take the next one.
I know he's your boy over here,he's my boy too, but all right.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Well, I, this one's
gonna ruffle some feathers for
sure because sung jinwoo of sololeveling.
But you got to hear me out, Idon't care what you say about,
but he's not the strongestcharacter in universe.
Yeah, I hear you and I actuallyagree with you if you are one
of the people saying that.
Here's the thing.
The dude started out as aregular human and ends up as a
(24:08):
walking apocalypse infiniteleveling.
Whatever level he's at in theshow, he can grow exponentially.
It's infinite.
He can keep going.
So, no matter what, he cancontinue to get stronger.
So for me, I would include sungjin woo on this list because he
can have, he has the potentialto become the strongest,
(24:30):
regardless of where he is atcurrently.
So for this one, it's hispotential.
But even that, his fights wherehe showed off his insane
strength was absolutely you knowthey were great.
There were quite a few of them.
I mean even in season oneagainst that big snake monster.
In what episode?
Speaker 2 (24:45):
episode three or four
dude, that fight was awesome.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
He goes to that first
underground dungeon yeah like
that thing was insanely strong, and I mean he just brutalized
that thing.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
It's basically just
his fists because, if I remember
correctly, his daggers couldn'teven puncture that thing right
I mean, yeah, and when he wasfighting a beer for a little bit
before he got the weapon out, they were just brawling and he
was taking his and throwing his.
So he's got hands.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah, exactly and
this might be the most rage
baitiest one on this list like, just because you, you know
there's going to be people thatare going to be like, well, the
demon king whomped him.
Well, yeah, the demon kingwhomped him, but again, it's the
potential that he has, right,he can continue to grow
infinitely, and so that'sbasically God tier power.
(25:29):
That is legitimately God tierpower.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Oh, absolutely.
And you know, by the end of it,dude like, come on, you know
how strong he got?
Yeah, exactly, and that's noteven the strongest he could get.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
But all right.
Well, you have to close us outwith this last one, and I don't
think it's going to be asurprise to anybody.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
But you still got to
bring us home.
Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I mean obviously,
even though I'm a Vegeta boy
forever.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Goku's definitely
going to be on here.
I mean, come on, it's Goku.
Like we all know martialartists, yeah, we can end it
right there.
He's brawling with Beerus onLazy Sunday after the God of
Destruction.
He's just throwing hands forfun.
He almost hit Whis a coupletimes.
He's probably the strongest inthat universe, so Goku's got to
(26:21):
be there.
Come on, he's got to be onthere.
Sorry, I love Vegeta, but Gokualways surpasses him.
That's the story.
No-transcript, absolutely.
It's that plot, armor.
I just, you know, I wish he wasa little smarter, but then when
he fights he is smart.
So it's just, he doesn't wantto use his smarts on, yeah, real
life.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
He wants to use it in
fighting so that's kind of like
the same thing as naruto, right, when you know, because naruto
is a big ding dong um, but youknow, once he gets in a fight,
like he thinks tactically andit's comparatively.
If I were going to compare twocharacters and have them like, I
would say these two are themost alike, and this is really
going to sound crazy.
But I'm going to say natsu fromfairy tale and goku, just it's
(27:02):
that they're big old doofusesand then, dude, they just turn
it on when they get into a fight, right they just want to throw
hands.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
They go from yeah,
they go.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
They go from biggest
idiots to like.
This is the most insane personon the planet that knows the
most about fighting yeah, period, that's a good.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
That's a good, that's
a good comparison because it
does.
It does work pretty good.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
On that I agree with
you I know their temper is not
really the same, but still no,nazi is more fiery, of course,
but they're, that's a.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
they are both
oblivious to women and
everything else.
They just want to, not to liketo drink, but they like to eat
or drink whatever, and then theyjust throw their hands pretty
much.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Nah, that was a good
list, man.
Solid, awesome characters.
And again hit us up in thecomments on who you think should
be on the list.
And again, this isn't a top 10list.
This isn't a tier 10 list.
This isn't a tiered list.
We're not promoting any one ofthese as the strongest over
somebody else, althoughobjectively I could make an
argument for.
But that's not what we're doing.
We're just like some of themost top tier strong fighters in
(28:07):
an anime.
I think this was a good list.
I had a lot of fun doing this.
Should we jump into realmremorse?
Speaker 2 (28:12):
yeah, let's, uh,
let's get on it, because there
are some uh interesting ones inhere.
So, yeah, dude, I've beenwaiting for this all night.
Dude, this is gonna be great.
So it's already out on.
Uh, if you're playing diablo, you can go ahead and download.
So, crazy dude, they have aberserk collab.
I like literally berserk, likethey they was to melt together,
(28:35):
meld together.
So good, berserk and diablo.
It's, it's pretty awesome.
So it is out.
You can check it out.
Um, there's an animated trailer.
It's actually pretty cool.
You get the armor and stuff.
There's even, uh, like, somelike little story the full
berserker armor you get hisberserker armor, dude, you get
the berserker armor man, you get.
I think you also get, not thatwho wants griffith's armor?
But come on, but yeah, dude,it's uh, the berserker armor set
(28:58):
is for the barbarian skullknight, armor is for the
necromancer.
So the necromancer gets theskull knight, which is dope, the
uh like hawk of light, which is, uh, you know, griffith's is
for the rogue and I, dude, that's just like insane, like
that's so crazy.
So, yeah, it's out, you can getit.
Uh, it's gonna run all the wayto the end of may, so may 30th,
(29:19):
you have that much time to getit.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
super cool, uh that actually
that might, I don't know thatmight make me pick diablo 4 back
up and reinstall it I know Ihave it in there too.
I was like I'm looking at itlike man, but I don't know if
I'd play it again I don't thinkI'll do it, but god, I want to
yeah no, no, like it's a dude, that is the worst time sink in
for me like that is not aworthwhile time sink yeah, they
(29:43):
have mastered the art of uhshiny right, yeah, exactly all
right, you take the next one allright.
So the japanese government, they're coming up with new
initiatives to expand anime'sreach.
Well, what are we talking about?
Because anime has already got apretty big reach, right, it's
worldwide.
Um, what the japanesegovernment is talking about
(30:04):
doing is they've created thislike focus group.
See what, how they can pushcultural affairs.
But what they're trying to dois how do they push this into
you, like, how do you make mangadrawing and you know anime
production?
Um, a university like I don'tknow, not certificate, whatever
(30:24):
you call it, degree, right, likehow do you make a degree
program right?
Speaker 2 (30:28):
there's a lame degree
, but anime be would be cool.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
No, absolutely,
absolutely lame degrees and
honestly.
But here's the and this is the.
For me, the only reason Ireally picked this article is
because the name of the agencyright is the Agency for Cultural
Affairs, which I'm sorry if youhave watched any amount of like
slice of life anime in the pastcouple of years.
(30:53):
There was this anime severalyears ago that came out and it
was called midnight occult civilservants and as soon as I heard
that name agency for culturalaffairs I was like what are they
doing?
Are they helping thesupernatural beings at nighttime
, like where?
Speaker 2 (31:06):
are we at like this
is real life anime.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Right now it sounds
like yeah, a cover absolutely
yeah, it's a secret cover for agovernment agency, and that's
what I really think it is.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Yeah, that's actually
pretty cool.
It's cool that they're going todo that, though, like hey, push
it out there, oh yeah awesome.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
I mean they need to
because, right, we've discussed
it enough times Like the wholeindustry is overworked and tired
, you know, just breathe somenew blood into it.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
You know what?
It's funny, you brought that up.
So there's a big controversyright now with this last one, um
, because there's an AI and thedirector of it was kind of
getting roasted a little bit onquestions about it and he was
defending the AI of using AI.
Um, the series is called twins.
You know Hema, I don't knowwhat it's about about um, but
they use ai like crazy in itapparently.
(31:55):
And um, you know the, thedirector, he's getting kind of
pushed on it and he's defendingit, saying, well, I'm not saying
their ai should direct it oranything like that, but by using
ai and I don't know the logicof where he's going with it.
But he keeps saying that whywaste animators on pointless
scenes like walking and thingslike that?
The ai can do it better andquicker than we can and this
(32:18):
will free up more jobs foranimators.
But I feel like you know, okay, maybe using it for those in
between scenes is fine, whatever, but that's going to eventually
get to a point where they'reusing it for action and talking
scenes and background scenes andsunsets and on and on.
I don't know how it helps jobsand how.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
How quickly see
there's any.
With anything with ai, there'salways a little bit of altruism,
you know, mixed in for theinitial people that bring it up
they're like, oh yeah, this isgonna make those lives easier.
But here's the thing.
Um sure, it might make theguy's life easier that doesn't
want to animate somebody walking, but let's face it, how far
(33:01):
away are we from saying, hey,we'll introduce this thing so
you don't have to animate theseboring scenes?
To how far are we away fromthat, going live to the point
where they say, well, now I canpay you less because you're not
animating as many scenes orright there some variation of
you deserve less money becauseyou're not doing all
Speaker 2 (33:22):
the animation yeah,
it's knocking on the door and
apparent.
So here's the other part aboutit.
This series says 95 of it is aianimating.
So it's like you're not reallyusing the 95%.
It's not 10, 15, 95% of yourshow is animated like this.
Like, come on now.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
I don't know Like
this doesn't.
So I looked at it and I waslike this doesn't look like
anything I would actually watchanyways, but I might have to
check this out just to see is itany good, like the animation,
because here's what I'm thinking.
I'm thinking the animation isgoing to be like the first
couple episodes of t-bait, whereyou're getting a you know slide
(34:03):
show presentation right like um, I know I know animation can do
some really dope stuff, butlet's face it, bro, animation
can't do hands like that is oneof the most basic things in the
entire world and ai can't handlethat not yet, not yet, but
here's my thing not ever, handsare difficult.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
I think you're right
about like, oh, this is gonna
help.
And then it's like, well, wedon't need as many of you
anymore.
And then it's like, oh, we onlyneed a couple.
So, like you put people out ofwork, like, and it's just gonna
get better.
That's what it does all thetime.
So what are you supposed to do?
Like you're gonna get to apoint where it can do action
scenes, like it's going to getto that point and I don't know
(34:44):
if it's something that is justthe whole world is going to get
affected by ai.
This is what it is.
I don't know, but this pointkind of seems like it's that
runaway train you can't reallyderail.
I mean, maybe you can, I don'tknow, but it doesn't seem like
anyone wants to.
So I, you know I I don't wantpeople not to not to lose their
jobs over it.
I don't want people to beworking 90 hours, either every
(35:04):
couple days or whatever.
I don't want that either.
There's got to be a sweet spothere.
Guys like these people needlives.
You can't have them work sevendays a week to meet a deadline,
but then you can't have AI comein either and take their jobs
away.
So in this conversation.
It needs to be had out of morethan just anime.
I mean, in a lot of industriesand no one really wants to have
(35:26):
those conversations.
It's like in a weird way, Ifeel, like a lot of the AI stuff
, it's almost like we're notgoing to stop.
It doesn't matter how dangerousit could be, it doesn't matter
if people lose their jobs, we'renot going to stop.
That's what it seems like.
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
So here's the thing
like, especially in tech, like
in the tech world, right, everybody's like AI is going to
take your job.
That's not true.
What's actually going to happenis that somebody that knows how
to utilize AI is going to takeyour job, and if you don't get
hip and on board with knowinghow to use AI, somebody will
(35:59):
replace you that does know howto do that, but AI straight up
isn't going to.
I mean, you can.
Yes, chatbots will get better.
Yes, the AI animation will getbetter.
I'm assuming they willeventually learn how to do hands
, but that's all of the humantrained data.
It's off of human trained data.
So pay the humans, because you,all of your data, came from
(36:24):
humans.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Yeah, but you know
they're not going to want to.
You know that.
You know how that goes.
Well, that's why we're justgoing to keep arguing about it.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Right, like that's
well every time one of these
comes up, I'm going to post itand I'm going to bring it up and
I'm going to be like this is ashit idea, Don't do it.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Well, you have to
because you're right.
You know what you said is 100%right.
They will eventually get to.
It's not just walking scenesnow, it's this nah, nah, and
(37:00):
then it's just not.
Companies ain't never doingsomething for the good of
whatever.
Come on, all right, do the hottake.
Would you all right?
Hot, take time.
Let's see.
Would you rather have goku'spower but be stuck with his fun
personality, or be a weakcharacter with an elite tactical
mind like light or shikamaru?
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (37:11):
um, well, here's the
thing.
I know that I should pick thefun answer, because this is an
entire episode is about.
You know anime's strongestcharacters, but I'm gonna go
ahead and say shikamaru, like,go ahead and give me shikamaru's
intellect.
Um, and here's the reason.
So any character can getstronger.
Any person can get stronger.
(37:32):
You know, if you train in thegym every day and you train
diligently and you train theright way, even as a real human
being, it's stronger.
So characters get stronger allthe time.
They all go through trainingarcs, blah, blah, blah.
You're not necessarily bornwith the smarts, so I will take
shikamaru's tactical mind andthen I will go train the crap
out of myself to make myself asstrong as a goku.
(37:54):
You know a rock lee.
Well, maybe not that strong, but you get my point.
So I'm going with the tacticalmind all day long that's a yeah,
that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
I mean, if I'm gonna
have saiyan powers, though and I
gotta be a little dumb in thehead it may not be the worst
thing, right?
I mean, you're not that smart, you're not really worried about
dumb shit, right?
You just try to have fun andfight people and eat that's all.
Goku does bro.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
He's happy.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
My boy's happy every
day of his life.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Yeah, I mean, that's
true, Goku is happy every day of
his life and he probably canget tricked into stupid
situations by somebody that'sslightly out, things Like, let's
face it, vegeta is smarter thanGoku.
You know what I mean?
Tact, that vegeta is smarter, smarter than goku.
Uh, you know what I mean?
Tactically, vegeta is thebetter choice.
That's why he's your favorite.
Um, no, goku's dope.
But man, I don't know, Icouldn't be that dumb.
(38:40):
I couldn't even be naruto dumb,because that's, that's just
dumb, like it's like.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
No, bro I can't do.
I can't do it though.
So goku for sure, he just isthe ignorance is bliss.
That's his like.
You know what I mean?
That's how I feel about him,for for naruto, yes, in the
beginning, but when he getsolder he does get more tactical
and smarter, he does learn alittle bit, but goku is straight
up, he's just straight.
(39:07):
Like.
I was trying to eat.
Oh, I guess I'm a dad, uh I gota kid I got kids.
What are you talking about?
I'm trying to train.
He just, you know, he justwants to fight and he eats and
the dude's like happy.
He's never.
That boy don't know sadnessever.
Well, when krillin died, but itwas more anger, but still other
than that, and you can switchpeople back anyway, who cares?
Speaker 1 (39:29):
no, that was a good
one, man, because honestly, it
makes you want to think like Itypically do pick the stronger
characters, but when you have, when you're forced to think
about it as be strong or do youwant the brain like I don't want
to?
Be dungeon and dragon stuffover there right yeah, I don't
want to be dumb, just let me besmart, please look, I'll figure
it out.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
All right, I'll
figure it out somehow, just let
me have brain, yeah, I get it,yeah let me remember what my
please Like dude didn't evenknow his son Goat.
Well, I guess he was dead.
But you know, he's like you, look like me, Like yeah, he's
literally you, he's your twindude, he's your kid.
Oh okay, Piccolo, can youhandle it?
That's pretty much what he does.
Take him to school, I'm goingto go.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
