What if the secret to an unforgettable wedding isn't an extravagant 15-piece band or a confetti cannon, but simply letting your DJ do their thing? I'm DJ ESG, and in this episode, I’m sharing the wild ride from one of the most epic weddings I DJ'd in Philadelphia this past weekend. With 150-175 guests at the stunning Downtown Club, the bride and groom gave me full creative control, and the result was a non-stop party fueled by great music and delicious food from Chess Cafe. This episode is all about the magic of simplicity and the power of trusting your DJ to create the perfect vibe without over-the-top theatrics.

Join me as I recount the night’s highlights—from the dimmed lights setting the perfect mood to the seamless flow of tunes that kept the dance floor packed all night. I'll share why good music, good food, and the right atmosphere can make any wedding unforgettable. Plus, stick around for insights from another unique wedding I worked on that weekend, offering a completely different yet equally captivating experience. Tune in and discover why sometimes, less is more when it comes to creating unforgettable moments. Peace, love, and see you soon for more wedding tales!

Peace, Love & God Above! :-)

What's up guys?
Dj ESG on Wedding Advice, season Number 10, and today I'm
talking about one of the twoweddings I had this past weekend
.
Hey, use it or lose it.
You know what I mean.
I got some new backing tracksstarting today.
Fralinger String Band.
Man, they are, you know, ifnothing screams South Philly,
they scream South Philly.
Those motherfuckers.
If you've never heard of amummers band before, you're not

(00:22):
from Philadelphia.
Come over here.
Eat a cheesesteak, get afucking one, win it without.
You are missing out on someshit.
January 1st you can see all ofthem, dude, they're amazing.
Anyway, this past weekend I hada wedding.
The wedding was crazy.
I had 150-some 175 people.
I was at the downtown club inPhilly.
Brad and groom walked in thereand they go listen, you do what

(00:43):
you do.
Other than the groom asking meone time to play more modern
music because I guess he wasready to go.
Everything was fucking amazing.
And the bride and groom justsaid listen, man, you do what
you do.
And if you do what you do andyou do it right, my guests will
have a good time, and theypartied all night long.
I mean, you don't need a big 15piece band, you don't need a

(01:04):
big light show.
You don't need fucking peoplefalling out of the ceiling,
aerial acts, balloons, you know, confetti stuff blowing up all
over the place.
You just need a good dj, goodmusic, good food, because I was
at chess cafe and chess cafemakes some fucking bomb food and
if you're not from the area, like I said, google that shit.
Chess cafe has a ton of venues.
I know there's a lot of placesout there in the world that have

(01:25):
caterers, that do multiplevenues.
This is a very good one.
They've been around since 2002,I think somewhere in that
ballpark.
But listen, we just went and wewent the entire time.
I think I played one slow songnonstop and the Bar with
Downtown Club is in the separateroom, but it's not in a place
where you can't hear what'sgoing on.
So, 11th floor, great view ofthe city, just a fun time, you

(01:48):
know nothing crazy, no crazy.
Lights, no crazy.
This, no crazy that.
Just a little bit of a dim feel, because we did turn the lights
in the room down a little bit,so we dimmed the actual sconces
and the ceilings.
I had a couple blinky, blinkythings, nothing crazy, you know
no.
Lasers, that's just.
And man, we just played theright music and we partied the
entire time.
And I tell people, if you justlet me do what I do and you guys

(02:10):
just enjoy yourself and don'tsecond guess anything,
everything's gonna be fuckingamazing.
I'm telling you it was.
It was great, it was such agood time.
I was taking pictures trying tofor like my portfolio, I
couldn't even move from the djbooth.
So the moral of this one isjust, you know, if you got a
good dj and he knows what he'sdoing and you just allow him or
her to do what it is that thathe or she does, everything works

(02:31):
out, it all works out.
Trust me, it's great advice.
Take it or leave it.
I'm dj esg, peace, love and godabove, and I'll be back because
I got another wedding to talkabout this past weekend, much
smaller, much more condensed anda totally different night of
the week.
Talk to.
