Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
Better late than never! Although the 25th anniversary of the PS2 came and went at the end of October this year, I wanted to make sure that I dedicated an episode talking about this monumental platform and how it transformed the industry. This console is the reason that video games have become the dominant form of entertainment in the mainstream. It started the trend of your video game console being an all in one multimedia player, since the PS2 doubled as a DVD player. Some legendary franchises got their start on the PlayStation 2 platform and the industry saw the rise of many prominent developers today like Naughty Dog and Insomniac. This was a focal point in the history of the video game industry, and its impact is still felt today. Tune in to hear about my abnormal experiences with the PS2 at launch, and later why it became one of my favourite generations.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
