Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
With such a great week for sports in Toronto, I decided to do an episode where I brainstorm how to incorporate sports into your game! I think there are a lot of great ideas on how this can be accomplished. Admittedly, I come from a time when D&D players and the typical jock types did not necessarily mix well. However, that was then, and today things have changed significantly. Lots of those "jock" types now count themselves as TTRPG fans as well, and sports has always been a big uniter in a community. This is something that I think can really enhance your game, especially if you have a table full of sports fans as well! Tune in to see if there is anything you can use at your table.
