Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
Halloween is now here, so I am finally going to do the spotlight on Call of Cthulhu I have long wanted to do! While Call of Cthulhu can be played at any time of year, it is particularly suitable at Halloween. There are plenty types of horror TTRPGs out there, but none quite so effective at the genre as this game. Based on the legendary works of HP Lovecraft, this is probably one of the most well known and respected TTRPGs that isn't related to D&D. If you are looking to play a game that will provide a good spooky time for your group, then this really is the best option. Tune in to take a bit of a dive into the system and hear some of the scenarios I recommend at the end.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
