Hallelujah and amen.
And so tonight, um be in severalscriptures, and so um whoever
got the keyboard back there, youall gonna be jumping around,
amen.
And um start in first Johnchapter four.
(02:08):
First John chapter four, uhverses fifteen and sixteen.
And the word of God reads thisway Whosoever shall confess that
Jesus is the Son of God, Goddwelleth in him.
And he in God.
(02:29):
Hallelujah.
And we have known and believedthe love that God hath to us.
God is love, and he thatdwelleth in love dwelleth in
God, and God in him.
Hallelujah.
(02:50):
God is love, and we're gonnaunfold this from the book of
Genesis to the book ofRevelation.
God is love, and so come back toGenesis with that in mind, and
we'll come back up to firstJohn, but come to Genesis
chapter 2.
(03:11):
Right in the right in thebeginning.
Thus the heavens and the earthwere finished, and all the hosts
of them, they were finished.
This God who is love, he did awhole bunch of stuff out of
(03:32):
love.
He just spoke and he spoke andhe spoke and he spoke, and on
one day, you know, thing thiscame into being.
One day the next thing came intobeing, one day the next thing
came into being, one day the hespoke and spoke and spoke an
overflow of his love.
(03:53):
And overflow.
This this wasn't a far-off,passionless, dry speech.
This this was a fullness of joy.
This was a joyful,authoritative, efficacious,
powerful work of a mighty, holyGod who is in his very essence
love.
(04:14):
On his word went forth, and itaccomplished what he said it
accomplished.
It accomplished on the firstday, it accomplished on the
second, on the third, on thefourth, on the fifth, on the
sixth.
It accomplished and accomplishedand accomplished.
And in every moment of thosedays, you bet you're you bet God
was rejoicing.
You bet God was joyful, you betGod was happy, you bet the
(04:37):
Father was there, Jesus wasthere.
It's all being done throughJesus, by Jesus, of Jesus, and
for Jesus, the Word, and theHoly Ghost is there, the angelic
host is watching and rejoicingand hallelujah and amen.
And it's a glorious, glorious,glorious time, and it's a time
that's filled with life.
(04:57):
I want you to hear that.
It's not dry and passionless,it's not far off and distant,
it's not the work of a cheerlessand cruel tyrant.
It's not a mystery or a puzzleto be debated or solved.
No, this was the the simple, plain work and desire and will
(05:21):
made manifest of God Himself, who is in his essence love.
It was good.
Oh, he said it was good.
Oh, he said it was finished.
Mark that word.
The heavens and the earth werefinished.
(05:42):
Not halfway done, not 75%, not90%, finished.
It was completed, made perfect, brought to an end, perfected,
accomplished, and polished tothe degree of excellence that
God intended.
It was brought to a finish.
(06:07):
And this is after he formed manof the dust of the earth, and
and and he breathed hisnostrils, and the man became a
living soul.
Again, the work of a passionateloving God.
And the work that God smiled at,and the work that God shouted
at, and work that made Goddance, and the work that made
(06:28):
God happy.
He loved this creation, he lovesit still.
See, creation was perfect, manwas perfect, woman was perfect,
she was formed from the man, everything was perfect.
Revelation 4 tells us, You havecreated all things, and for thy
pleasure they were, they are andwere created.
(06:50):
For God's pleasure, he did this.
For God's pleasure, he made man.
For God's pleasure, he madewoman.
And he made this creationperfect for the man, perfect for
the woman.
And he made the man and thewoman perfect for the creation.
It was perfect.
(07:11):
Now you've heard it before.
God would come and God wouldwalk and God would talk, and uh
we've heard rich things aboutthe garden that God made on this
earth.
Man would have dominion over theearth, he'd be fruitful in it,
he would multiply, he wouldsubdue it, he would live life.
And and this life that man wouldlive.
(07:36):
He's made perfect in the imageof God, and you bet that this
life was joyful.
This life was a joyful life, itwas a full life, it was a
complete life, it was apassionate life, it was a life
filled with relationship andfruitfulness, it was a life
filled with wonder, it was alife filled with excitement, it
(07:59):
was a life filled withamazement, it was a life lived
to the fullest in relationshipwith the very God who is love,
who made the man and made thewoman.
We didn't make ourselves, wedidn't make this world around
(08:22):
us.
We were formed, creation wascreated by a joyous act of a
loving God.
You see, my friend, the life youlive and the creation you walk
is not yours.
The life you've got right now,God gave it to you.
The body you've got right now isnot yours.
(08:45):
God gave it to you.
The air you breathe is notyours, God gave it to you.
The food you eat, the money yougot.
God gave it all to you.
Every last bit.
(09:05):
God gave it to you.
Again, a passionate, joyful, loving God gave you the life you
got, gave you the life you'reliving, gave you the body you're
in, gave you the mind that youuse.
See, you use it, but God gave itto you.
(09:28):
You didn't go out and get ityourself.
The emotion and the passion youhave, you know, the the world
all around you.
You drive on the roads, well, you're driving over God's
creation.
You walk, you're walking onGod's earth.
You run, you're running on God'searth.
(09:50):
You get you go to sleep on God'searth and you wake up on God's
earth, it's not yours.
I mean, you might you if you ownland, you you got a property
line and you say, Well, that'smy land.
Well, sort of, you know, in asense, but not really.
God made that land before therewere property lines.
God made your nation beforethere were nations.
(10:15):
And oh, all this creation, myfriend, you know, creation in
some ways knows more than we do.
You know, Romans says it groans.
Yeah, it waits for itsredemption.
And it waits for all the sons ofGod to be revealed.
Hallelujah and amen.
Romans tells us that.
But my friend, your life is notyour own.
(10:38):
It was given a gift by a loving, passionate God who goes one
further.
He's a giving God.
He delights to give.
Makes him smile to give.
He's a blessing, sort of a God.
Because, my friend, you mightnotice that there's a gap
(11:01):
between God and you.
There's a distance between Godand you.
God is kind of this out therething.
I got news for you.
God is bridging the gap rightnow.
God is introducing himself toyou if you're lost tonight.
God is introducing himself toyou, if you're apart from him
(11:23):
tonight, if you're separate fromhim tonight.
God, this is God's introductionto you.
I made all things, I created allthings, that includes you.
And I know you and I see you andI love you.
And this whole time you've beenliving your life.
Goodness and mercy, my goodnessand mercy have been following
(11:46):
you this entire time.
My goodness and mercy led youinto this room tonight, into
this house tonight.
My goodness and mercy led you tohear this message, led you to
click on this podcast, led youto click on this video.
My goodness and mercy has beenfollowing you, and I want to put
you together with me, and I'mgonna do that through this.
(12:10):
You don't know who I am, I knowwho you are, so I'm gonna
introduce myself.
I am the Lord your God, and Iknow you and see you and love
you.
unknown (12:23):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (12:27):
God knows.
There was a distance to bridge, all because people fell.
You know, Eve was deceived, Adamfollowed her right on in that
deception, and there was a fall.
You know, ever since Cain, myfriends, uh, there's been a
separation at birth between manand God.
(12:48):
There's been a separation.
And so man goes his own way, yougo your own way, you you have
your whole your whole life.
Up to this point, it's just beenokay, what what feels good?
What do I like?
What do I deem to be good?
Um, what do I deem to have, youknow, what is pleasing to me,
uh, what is what what excitesme, what thrills me, what
(13:08):
comforts me.
So I'm gonna go after thosethings.
I'm gonna stay away from thestuff that makes me
uncomfortable.
Uh, I'm gonna I might tolerate alittle bit of discomfort to get
to the pleasure on the otherside, but you know, I'm gonna
judge what I believe to be good, what I believe to be evil.
I'm gonna go after my good andgo after, you know, stay away
from that from that other stuff.
(13:31):
There's a separation between youand God.
Because my friend, you know, theBible calls that sin.
And it can only lead to yourdestruction and to your death.
Whatever it looks like mightlook like fornication.
You know, we sang about part ofa song we sang a little bit
earlier.
(13:51):
Um, some people go after drugs, some people go after money, some
people go after, you know, justjust whatever it is.
But my friend, the wages of sinare going to catch up to you,
and maybe you're feeling that.
Maybe you're feeling the weightof your guilt.
Maybe you're feeling depressed, maybe you're feeling anxious and
(14:17):
worried and scared all the time.
Because I I believe a lot ofpeople are there.
There's a real spirit of feargoing on in America right now.
Um, a lot of people are there.
A lot of people are uncertain, uncertain about the economy,
uncertain about our politics, uncertain about you know, the
social order, um, uncertain, youknow, where we're going to be in
three to five years as acountry, if we are even going to
(14:39):
be a country in three to fiveyears.
There's a real spirit of fear inthe land.
There's a real spirit ofloneliness in the land.
There's a real spirit of, youknow, I've I've fornicated and
fornicated and fornicated.
I've drunk and I've drunk andI've drunk.
You know, I've done this anddone that and I've done this.
(15:00):
You know, I've worked and Iworked and I worked and it
wasn't enough.
Especially that work one.
I work and I work and I work andI work and I work and it's not
enough.
My friend, you're experiencingthe wages of sin.
You're experiencing a life livedseparate from God, and the
(15:22):
reality is God is bridging thegap.
And so come on up to Johnchapter 1.
We're gonna look at this inaction.
John chapter 1, when God showedup, hallelujah.
John chapter 1, right at thebeginning.
In in the beginning was theword.
(15:42):
We were just there back inGenesis.
In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and
the word was God.
The same was in the beginningwith God.
This is Jesus.
All things were made by himjoyfully, passionately, brought
(16:03):
to a finish, perfection, andwithout him was not anything
made that was made.
In him was life.
Do you want some life tonight?
Oh, you might be biologicallyliving, but you're not really
living.
And you know it.
(16:24):
You know that it's just thegrind every day.
You know that you're not whereyou want to be.
You know, just in yourconscience, you know that this
isn't all there is.
(16:44):
And my friend, that's a greatstarting place.
But God's gonna finish it.
Because my friend, you'reseparate from him, you're
separate from him, you'reseparate from him, you're in
sin, and God doesn't want you toremain in sin.
And so in him was life, and Godwants you to have it.
If you don't have it, God wantsyou to have it.
(17:05):
If you do have it, God wants youto live it abundantly, amen.
And life, here it is, was thelight of men.
And the light, and I love howthis is present tense.
The light shines in thedarkness.
He still does.
The light shines in darkness.
(17:28):
This is what God did.
He came down to a dark world, and you don't have to look too
far.
See, it's a dark world.
Easy to see the darkness in theworld, more difficult to see the
darkness in you.
Say it again.
Easy to see, point out thedarkness around.
(17:49):
More tough to see the darknessthat's in you, and so that's why
Jesus is coming right now andhe's shining a great big light
right on you.
He's shining into your darkness,he's shining into your pride,
he's shining into your ego, he'sshining into your greed, he's
(18:14):
shining into your fear, he'sshining into your
self-centeredness, he's shininginto your lust and your
perversions, he's shining intoyour loneliness, he's shining
into your despair, he's shininginto your hatred and this
shining, all the darkness in allof creation since the fall,
(18:34):
bless God, it cannot quench thisshining.
It cannot quench this light, butthis light shines and has an
effect on the darkness.
Light doesn't put it out, butthe but you know, the the
darkness doesn't disturb thelight, but the light disturbs
the darkness.
(18:55):
It unsettles you on a deeppersonal level.
You're hearing this preachingand it and it unsettles you.
It shakes you up.
There's a there's there's alittle part of you right now
that's starting to believe.
(19:18):
Wow, there there is a God, andhe's shining his light on me
right now, and all I've neverknown is that darkness hurts my
eyes.
All I've ever done is live indarkness.
I it makes me uncomfortable.
I don't know it.
God's still in it.
You know, I I don't know it.
(19:39):
I don't understand it.
Well, the darkness comprehendedit not.
Darkness is never gonnaunderstand it.
But what I want to ask, oh blessyou, but what I want to ask you
tonight is do you want it?
You see, a lot of peoplecomprehended it not in Jesus'
(20:00):
day.
They didn't they they didn'tunderstand, they didn't want to.
Um, Jesus was there, you know,he was doing all this stuff, and
people knew he was a little bitdifferent, but they didn't want
to understand.
They didn't want to know him, they didn't want to walk with
him, they uh they sure didn'twant to listen to him, and they
sure didn't want to obey him.
They sure didn't want to believehim, they they comprehended it
not.
They they they they didn'tunderstand it and they didn't
(20:22):
want to put their arms aroundit.
They didn't want to make themake it theirs.
I got a question for you.
Do you want the light of God inyour life?
And the light is the truth, myfriend.
The truth.
(20:43):
The truth about you and thetruth about him.
Do you want him?
Because my friend, the light'sstill shining, it's shining on
you.
And uh, you know what's more?
What happened?
After Jesus died and after Jesusrose again, he's alive today.
You know what happened to thelight, it increased.
(21:07):
It wasn't it wasn't just Jesusanymore and a few disciples.
In church, this is where youcome in.
The light increased.
What does Jesus say about thechurch?
You're the light of the world.
You are the light of the world.
(21:30):
There's more than one of yousitting in this room.
And Jesus said, You're gonna dogreater things, you're you're
gonna do the works that I did.
You're you're gonna continuethem.
You're you are going to do them.
As I the Father sent me, so Isend you.
And I'm not leaving you alone.
I haven't left you alone.
I give you a comforter, I giveyou the Holy Spirit.
(21:51):
Go back to John.
Whoever whosoever shall confessthat Jesus is the Son of God,
God, the light of the world, Goddwells in you.
And you dwell in God.
(22:13):
You are the light of the world.
And my friend, there should bemore light in this world
presently, today, in the lastdays, than there was when Jesus
was walking around.
There should be more lightavailable to this world.
(22:37):
Hallelujah.
Does that flip you on your head?
You're no longer the poor, pathetic, helpless little
church.
He's just scraping to get by.
No.
You're the light of the world.
There's more light in this roomthan there was back then.
Because there's more than one.
(22:58):
You see, it used to be justJesus.
Just Jesus and just the Father.
Oh man, what he did.
Hallelujah.
What he did.
What Jesus did.
He turned a nation on its head.
Um he turned a nation on hishead, but you know, bless God,
he still had time.
(23:18):
You know, Simon's Simon Peter'smother got sick one day.
He still had time.
He paused everything and hewalked in and he rebuked a
fever.
He turned nations on his head, but he still had time for the
individual.
Bless God.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah,hallelujah.
Greater things, my friend,greater things.
(23:39):
Do you believe in tonight?
So we've got God stepping intothe darkness, shining, shining,
shining, shining.
And let's move into Hebrews, myfriend.
Hebrews 12.
Looking unto, are you lookingunder Jesus today?
(24:02):
Hallelujah.
Lost man, lost woman, lostchild.
Jesus is shining in your heartright now.
Are you looking unto him?
Look to him.
Look to him.
Don't be as Cain did and throwyour eyes downward.
Don't say, Come again, comeagain, come again, some more
convenient day.
(24:22):
Look to him now.
For today is the day of yoursalvation.
Jesus, the author and finisher, finisher, finisher, he came up
with our faith and he finishedit.
Who for the joy, oh my friend,we come back to this again and
again.
The joy that was set before him,he endured the cross.
(24:49):
Despising the shame, and is setdown at the right hand of God.
Oh, there was a joy set beforehim.
He thought much of the joy andthought little of the shame.
He despised the shame, and allhe saw was the joy.
And the joy of the Lord, myfriend, on that cross.
(25:13):
The joy of the Lord.
Yes, there is a joy that Jesussaw in obeying his Father, but
it went beyond that.
See, Jesus saw the joy of asaved, born again, redeemed,
alive you.
He saw the joy of a man, of awoman, their sin forgiven and
(25:37):
their sin forgotten.
And so he saw that joy, and sohe took your sin on himself.
He saw the joy.
Oh, and he remembered it.
He remembered what it was likebefore there was sin.
He remembered what it was liketo create the world.
(26:01):
Let that blow your mind.
This is the word.
This is Jesus.
And all things created, allthings made by him.
Without him was not anythingmade, it was made.
He remembered making the world.
Hallelujah.
(26:21):
And so there was a joy becausehe knew what he was doing on the
cross.
And oh, he he he said in John19, I'll tell you this.
He said, It is finished.
He's hanging on the tree.
He became the curse of the lawbecause he hung on the tree.
(26:46):
He became a criminal ofcriminals under the law.
Because it was only a dire, dire, dire criminal to hang on
the tree.
Oh, and he became all of yourcurse.
He became all of your shame.
He became all of your guilt.
He became all of your hatred andyour blasphemy and your ego and
your pride and your arroganceand your drunkenness.
(27:08):
You rattle it on off and you seehow sin comes out.
You see how your sin comes out.
How does it come out?
Does it come out in in fear?
Does it come out in in guilt?
Does it come out in shame?
Does it come out in in outwardbursts of anger?
(27:29):
Does it come out in in in afornication and in a
drunkenness?
And does how does it come out ofyou?
Well, that sin, that nature,Jesus became it.
And he did it for the joy.
Whoa.
(27:51):
He did it joyful.
Oh, he nailed on the cross.
He's suffering suffering'sbeyond words, honestly.
It's beyond words.
Even physically, it's beyondwords.
Much less to have for the firsttime and for the last time the
(28:15):
Father turn his face away fromthe Son and say, I can no longer
see you, I can no longer regardyou, I can no longer have you in
my presence because you becamesin.
Oh, even that Jesus did with thejoy.
(28:36):
Even that.
For the joy that was set beforehim, because he knew, just like
in those days of creation, thatthis was accomplishing what he
wanted it to accomplish.
You know, there's a phraseearlier tonight.
This was the work of putting youback in the garden.
(29:00):
This was what it takes.
This is what was it was going toaccomplish.
God was going to have a peopleagain to walk with and to talk
with.
God was going to have a peopleagain to relate with.
Who know who he is and love himand walk with him and talk with
(29:23):
him.
God was going to do that again.
And it took the cross.
So there's a joy.
Because Jesus could see, he notonly saw the cross, he saw what
was coming.
The joy of a saved, born again, redeemed, alive, you.
Need to bring this down to youagain.
(29:45):
The joy of you.
And oh, Jesus said it's finishedon the cross.
And I'll remind you, completed, made perfect, brought to an end,
perfectly glorified, perfectlyright in the eyes of God and
true in the eyes of God.
(30:06):
Oh, and he spoke it in the crosswas an act of love.
While we were yet sinners,Christ died.
For us, Romans tells us that.
This was an act of love.
This is how God's love was mademanifest.
You see, he created it, and thenit and then and then it fell,
and then man fell, and the earthhad.
To be cursed.
(30:29):
And so in an act of love.
Parallels creation itself.
Jesus went to the cross.
Parallels creation itself saidit is finished.
God would say this over you.
(30:52):
Lost man, lost woman, lostchild.
In this room, beyond this room.
God would say this over you.
It is finished.
You are finished.
You're saved.
You're born again.
(31:15):
You're dwelling in me, and I'mdwelling in you.
You're complete.
You're made whole.
You're the way that I createdyou and formed you and wanted
you to be your home.
(31:35):
And we we we see it so much inthe Old Testament and New
Testament.
Peace.
You're filled.
You ever understand that?
Filled with the Holy Ghost?
And every time God speaks to youin the spirit, it's just like
back in the garden.
From our perspective, it's justlike back there.
(31:59):
You are finished.
Can God say that over you rightnow?
Are you finished?
Oh my friend, we're talkingabout the eyes of God.
And folks are gonna point out,you know, we're saved, are being
saved, we'll be saved.
Talking about the eyes of God.
(32:21):
The moment you're born again, the moment the Holy Ghost moves
inside, the moment the blood isapplied to you, the moment it's
finished.
Look me up.
Look me up in the New Testamenton it.
You see, you you get aresurrection body in glory.
(32:43):
You get a name that only Godknows right now in glory.
And he gives it to you in glory.
In the eyes of God, he know heno longer sees your sin.
In the eyes of God, God moves inwith you, God abides with you,
God walks with you through thisworld, God walks with you in
this darkness, you get to shineout in the darkness, just like
(33:05):
God.
You get He pours into you andyou pour out.
In the eyes of God, you'refinished.
He no longer sees your sin.
He sees, He sees you the way youwere supposed to be before you
fell.
No sin.
Just relationship.
No sin.
(33:25):
Just a holy, right, passionate, joyful, loving, unashamed,
unabashed, bold, fullrelationship with God.
Oh, and and he says, you know, you don't have to wait.
You can come before my thronewhenever you want to.
You can come boldly and you cansit down.
(33:48):
Matter of fact, I'm gonna helpyou.
I'm gonna sit you down with mein heavenly places, and I'm
gonna shower every spiritualblessing on you right now.
unknown (34:00):
Thank you, Lord.
SPEAKER_00 (34:02):
You're raised up.
That sin's gone and that sin'sforgotten.
Oh, my friends, do you want himtonight?
Do you want the Lord tonight?
Do you want the life that Godhas for you tonight?
Oh, don't go the way of Cain.
You might have heard about thatlast week.
Don't go that way.
(34:23):
Don't walk away from God.
You see, he walked away fromGod, but God wanted this.
For even Cain.
My friends, you might say, Well,my sin's too great.
You know, those sins you rattledoff before, those are those are
minor league.
(34:45):
But my friends, there's uhthere's only one way you can't
be forgiven.
And that's if you refuse.
If you refuse the Holy Spirit,if you refuse the drawing of
God, that's the only way youcan't be forgiven.
