Speaker 1 (00:14):
Greetings, hello and welcome to the Redeeming Love
Bible Broadcast.
My name is Phil Duddy, evangelist with Grace Baptist
Tabernacle of King, northCarolina.
Glad to have you with me on theprogram today, as always.
If you want to be part of theprogram, reach out to us at
redeemingthelostaticloudcom.
We do look forward to hearingfrom you.
And today we're going to be wayback at the beginning of the

(00:38):
Bible.
We're going to be in Genesis,chapter 1.
And this message, it's one ofthose things that's been in
Scripture the entire time.
It's been in Scripture sincethe Lord breathed Scripture,
since the Lord inspiredScripture, since Scripture was
written down and handed downthrough the generations to us

(01:02):
today Been here the whole time.
But it's one of those messagesthat you know, a lot of folks.
Once you see it and once youknow in the Holy Ghost, it gets
applied to you.
And once you believe this andtrust this and trust the Lord

(01:23):
who's given this to you, believethis and trust this and trust
the Lord who's given this to you, this will be one of the most
freeing, simple, glorious thingsthat the Lord has ever given
you out of Scripture, and you'regoing to see how it applies to
every area of life, every singlearea of life and it's so simple

(01:44):
and it's so rich and it's sopersonal and it's so profound
and it's something that you know.
I'm really excited that youknow.
The Lord said go ahead andpreach this message and give
this to them today.
And so we're going to be inGenesis, chapter one.
I want you to come on down toverse 26, genesis one, verse 26.
And we're going to read a fewverses and you're going to see

(02:07):
how this message sort of unfoldsout of these verses.
And God said let us make man inour image, after our likeness,
and let them have dominion overthe fish of the sea, over the
fowl of the air and over thecattle and over all the earth
and over every creeping thingthat creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his ownimage.

(02:30):
In the image of God, created hehim Male and female, created he
them, and God blessed them.
And God said unto them Befruitful and multiply and
replenish the earth and subdueit and have dominion over the
fish of the sea, over the fowlof the air and over every living

(02:51):
thing that moveth upon theearth.
And God said Behold, I havegiven you every herb-bearing
seed which is upon the face ofthe earth and every tree in

(03:16):
which there is a fruit of theverse says everything that he
had made.
And behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morningwere the sixth day.
Now this part of the creationaccount, god said let us make

(03:36):
man in our image, after ourlikeness.
Men and women didn't just makethemselves, and men and women
didn't just make themselves.
And men and women didn't justsort of pop into existence.
Men and women are not theresult of basically a cosmic

(03:56):
accident that happened billionsand billions of years ago, where
all of a sudden there wassomething that was dead and then
it was alive and it had lifeand it evolved.
That's not what happened at all, not even close to what
happened.
But God very simply said let usmake man.

(04:18):
God made man, and God made manin his own image, after his own
likeness.
God made man and God made manin his own image, after his own
likeness.
God made man.
And then God made man with apurpose.
He said let them have dominionover the fish of the sea, fowl
of the air, the cattle over allthe earth and over every
creeping thing that creepethupon the earth.

(04:38):
But the point, you know thebeginning of this message is
that you and I, and everyone yousee walking around, we were
formed, we were created, and wewere created by God, by a God
who knows us, by a God who lovesus, by a God who is almighty,

(05:03):
by the King of all kings and theLord of all lords, by a God who
had in himself the desire tocreate and the desire to form
something particular after hisown image.
He formed man out of the dustof the earth and he breathed

(05:24):
into his nostrils the breath oflife, and the man became a
living soul, and from the man hemade woman.
And this was all in the heartof God, this was all in the
desire of God, this was all inthe will of God.
And so God spoke and God acted, and God formed and God created,
and we are the result of that.

(05:45):
We did not form ourselves, wedid not will ourselves into
existence, we did not giveourselves life and we were not
the result of, basically, acosmic lottery or a cosmic
accident in which, you know two,you know, things banged into

(06:05):
each other and then, all of asudden, there was life.
No, that's not what happened, but God personally formed man
and God personally formed womanfrom the man.
And so, you know, god createdman.
And then God verse 28,.

(06:26):
God blessed them.
God blessed them.
You know it says male andfemale created he them?
And God blessed them.
And God said to them befruitful, multiply, replenish
the earth.
God gave them a role in thisbrand new creation.

(06:49):
He gave them again.
They did not come up with theirown stuff to do, they did not
come up with their own point, they did not come up with their
own purpose.
No, god created them.
And then God blessed them.
Hallelujah and amen.
God blessed them.

(07:10):
And then God said to them okay,be fruitful, multiply,
replenish.
And then you come down to verse29.
And God said behold, I've givenyou there's that word again
given, given, given, given, given you every herb bearing
seed which is upon the face ofthe earth and every tree which

(07:31):
is in the fruit of a treeyielding seed to you.
It shall be for meat.
And so God gave them his word, god gave them his provision.
You know the man and the woman.
They did not have to wanderaround coming up and figuring
out what they should do.
They did not have to figurethis out.

(07:53):
They did not have to come upwith it for themselves.
They did not have to provide, you know, figure out how to get
food.
They didn't have to figure outall this stuff.
But no, god gave it.
God gave it, god gave it.
And my friend, here it is.
We were never formed to beself-sufficient, but we were

(08:14):
formed to be provided for andcared for by God.
We were formed to be providedfor.
We were formed to be providedfor.
We were formed to be cared for.
We were formed that way andthis is you know.
Of course, this is before sincame in.

(08:35):
This is before Adam fell.
This is before Eve was.
You know, eve had thatinteraction with the serpent and
she ate and all of that, andthen Adam followed her in that
sin.
This is before that happened.
But this is you know.
This is fundamentally how wewere made.

(08:57):
This is fundamentally how wewere formed.
This is fundamentally what Godmade us to be.
We weren't formed to beself-sufficient, to take care of
ourselves, to figure it all outby ourselves.
To, you know, figure out how tobe bigger, better, faster,
stronger.
To figure out how to be moreefficient, to figure out how to

(09:17):
get more, you know, more out oflife, or anything like that.
We were never figured, created,to figure out our own purpose,
our own point, our own reasonfor being.
We were never formed to, youknow, pull ourselves up.
We were never formed to take, you know, to handle it all by

(09:37):
ourselves.
No, we were never formed to bein isolation.
We were never formed to bealone.
We were never formed to be thatway, but we were formed to be in
relationship with God.
We were formed to receiveblessing from God.

(10:00):
We were formed to receive theWord of God.
We were formed to follow God.
We were formed to walk with Godand to talk with God and to
interact with God and to relatewith God, and for that to be a
joyous thing, for that to be ablessed thing, for that to be a
life thing, for that to be agood thing.

(10:21):
We were formed for that purpose.
We were formed for his pleasure, for his will, for his desire.
We were formed to worship.
We were formed to praise.
We were formed to workaccording to what God gives us
to do.
We were formed to get everythingfrom God and to walk out and to

(10:44):
live out a life that is filledwith God and, my friend, that's
something that's very, verydifferent from like having all
this pressure and thinkingyou've got to figure it out by
yourself, and thinking you know, okay, god's, you know this
puzzle that I've got to solveand you know it's, you know that
it's all this.
You know I've got to do thisand I've got to do this and I

(11:06):
can't do this and I can't dothat, and I've got to make this
happen and I've got to make thiswork and I've got to force
myself to feel this way.
I've got to force myself to bethis way.
I've got to force myself to fitinto this mold, into this law,
into this set of rules.
My friend, that's not what wewere created and formed to be.

(11:29):
And, my friend, there's aterrible torment in that sort of
legalistic pressure field.
I've got to make this God thinghappen.
I've got to make this churchthing happen.
I've got to make thisevangelism thing happen.
I've got to figure out a way todo all this.

(11:50):
I've got to make my familyhappen.
I've got to make my financeshappen.
I've got to make all this stuff.
I've got to make my mental,I've got to make all this stuff
happen and it's all on me, myfriend.
That's a that's.
There's a lot of torment thereand there's torment there,
because that is all against thewill of God and that's against

(12:13):
the word of God and that'sagainst the nature of God.
And what God is telling youtoday is to stop and to listen,
because you were never formed, you were never made to be
self-sufficient, you were nevermade to walk through this life

(12:34):
apart from God and alone, thislife apart from God and alone.
You will never form that way.
That's not the will of God foryou, that's not the desire of
God for you.
And if you persist in livingthat way, you will find yourself
living against God, perhaps inthe name of God, because, you

(12:55):
know, in America that's perhapsin the name of God, because in
America it's sort of a commonthing.
There's this idea that God is upthere and he's taking notes and
he's grading you and he'ssaying, okay, you should have
done that, and it's this bigpressure-filled thing.

(13:16):
Okay, you should have done that, you know, and it's this big,
pressure-filled thing.
But, my friend, for that tohappen, for that to be your life
, there has to be a separationbetween you and God, and that's
not what God wants.
What God wants is for you towalk with Him.

(13:39):
What God wants is for you towalk with him.
What God wants is to ministerto you.
What God wants is to bring youhome to him.
What God wants is for you tolive as he formed you to live,
for you to be as he formed youto be, and that that involves a
surrender and that involves ayielding and that involves a

(14:02):
submitting, and that involves afaith, that involves a trust,
that involves hearing the wordof God and believing him and
trusting him and castingyourself upon him.
Because, my friend, this istrue you know whether you're
born again or whether you're notborn again.

(14:23):
You know, let's take a look atthis sort of another angle, but
keep that in mind you were neverformed to be self-sufficient,
you were never formed to make iton your own, and we're going to
see this in the Gospel of John.
Here let's go to Gospel of John, chapter 1.

(14:44):
And let us come down here.
Let's start in verse 11.
This is speaking of Jesus.
He, jesus, came unto his ownand his own received him not.
But here it is, my friend, asmany as received him.
To them gave he power to becomethe sons of God.

(15:10):
To them, gave he power tobecome the sons of God, even to
them that believe on his nameand then it goes on which were
born not of blood, nor of thewill of the flesh, nor of the
will of man, but of God.

(15:35):
My friend, this is looking atsalvation.
Okay, jesus came and Jesus wasborn of a virgin and Jesus
walked the earth and Jesus borewitness of the truth.
We did not make Jesus come to us.
We did not get to a point wherewe had it all figured out and

(16:00):
we were doing great and we weredoing well enough for Jesus to
come to us.
We did not earn God's favor.
We did not come up with God'splan of salvation.
We did not come up with thecross.
We did not come up with theblood.
We did not come up with theWord, made flesh walking among

(16:23):
us.
We didn't figure out the virginbirth.
We didn't put it all together.
We didn't figure out the virginbirth.
We didn't put it all together.
We didn't make it happen.
But God gave his only begottenson, hallelujah.
God gave his only begotten son.
Why?
Because God wanted to give him.
Why?

(16:43):
Because Jesus wanted to begiven.
Why?
Because Jesus wanted to begiven.
Why was the blood shed?
Not because we figured it outand we forced Jesus to shed his
blood, and we made Jesus to shedhis blood, not because Jesus
was obligated to shed his blood,no, because he wanted to lay
down his life.
My friend, this is the type ofGod he is, and this is where a

(17:07):
lot of people have trouble withthis message, because God is a
giving God.
God is an Abba Father.
God is a provider, god is aprotector.
Jesus himself, hallelujah, he'sour great high priest.
This is who he is, and soyou've got to understand that

(17:32):
God actually wants to take careof you.
God actually wants you to bewhole.
If you're not in Christ today,if you're yet in your sins, if
you're yet living under thewrath of God, god wants you to
be out of your sin.
God wants you to be out fromunder his wrath.

(17:53):
God wants you to be saved.
God wants you to be born again.
God wants you to be with himwhere he is.
God wants you to be emotionallyhealed.
God wants you to have a newmind.
God wants you to have a livingsoul.
You know, not an old, deadheart, but a living heart.
God wants you to have a life.

(18:14):
God wants you to have not onlya life, but an abundant life and
an eternal life.
God wants you to have not onlyjust joy, but great joy and a
fullness of joy, and a joyunspeakable and full of glory.
God wants you to have a peacethat the world can't duplicate
and the world can't comprehend.
God wants you to have awholeness and a life and a

(18:37):
fruitfulness and a fullness anda fulfillment.
God wants you to have thesethings.
And, my friend, today, do youbelieve that he's not only a
living God, but he's also agiving God, and do you believe
that he so not only loves theworld, but we're talking about

(18:58):
you?
He so loves you personally.
Right now, this moment, thissecond, even if you're full of
sin and full of wrath and fullof lust and full of fornication
and adultery and drunkennessdoesn't matter.
God still loves you.
And how did he prove it?

(19:19):
Jesus showed up.
Jesus went to the cross.
Book of Romans tells us youknow, this is how you know, one
way we know that God loves us.
He, while we were yet sinners.
Jesus did all of this While wewere yet sinners.
Jesus died for us, while wewere yet sinners.

(19:39):
He came and he shed his bloodand he died for us so that you
would have an option that youwould have the ability to hear
God and to know God and to beout from under your sin and to
be forgiven.
And, my friend, that's notsomething you earn, that's not
something you figure out, that'snot something that you kind of

(20:04):
work hard or you give money oreven both, and try to get into
the grace of God.
No, no, that's not.
It Matter of fact.
If you try to work your way toGod, you are working against God
.
Let me try it again.
If you try to work your way toGod in some way, shape or form,

(20:31):
you know there's so manydifferent forms this can take.
Some people they're in churchevery time the doors are open.
Some people, they're memorizingthe Bible.
Some people, they're drainingtheir bank account and they're
giving it to the church.
Some people, they're doing, youknow, all these sacraments.
And some people are even, youknow, cutting themselves and

(20:53):
hurting themselves and starvingthemselves.
And you know all this crazystuff and it's all against the
will of God.
Every last bit of it is againstthe will of God.
Why?
God already did everything thatis necessary.

(21:16):
God already provided everythingthat is necessary, all the
religious work that you couldpossibly do.
It'll never equal the blood,it'll never equal the cross,
it'll never equal Jesus hangingon that cross and saying it is
finished and commending you know, and giving up the ghost and

(21:39):
laying down his life andcommending his spirit into the
hands of God.
It'll never equal theresurrection and the empty tomb
and the fact that he is aliveand he is risen today and he is
speaking to you today.
So put down your religious work, because you've been working
against God the whole time.
But God wants you to stop thatand God wants you to listen to

(22:04):
him and God wants you to listento him and God wants you to know
that today, right now, he's agiving God, he's a providing God
and he's got some provision foryou and he's got a blessing to
give you today, and thatblessing is the fact that you
were never made to beself-sufficient in any way,

(22:28):
shape or form, and yoursalvation is included in that.
You were never made to saveyourself, you were never made to
clean yourself up, you werenever made to earn the grace of
God.
You were never made to do that.
And you find yourself todayfighting against God.

(22:51):
But the reality, my friend, isthis that God loves you and God
knows you and God wants you toyield to Him.
God wants you to trust Him andit's a matter of you trusting
Him, because he's already gotyour salvation.
He's already got the blood,he's already accepted the blood.
He's already Jesus took yoursin to the cross.

(23:15):
Already he died your death andhe has risen again and he's
saying come to me.
He's saying you don't have toearn a thing.
Matter of fact.
You shouldn't be trying to.
Matter of fact.
I say to you, in the name of theLord Jesus Christ, that
salvation is by grace, throughfaith, not of works, lest any

(23:36):
man should boast.
And so God's got the grace ofGod right here for you.
Will you receive him today?
Will you trust him today?
Will you trust him today andbless God?
This is good news, because, bless God, you trust him and
you're free.
Bless God, you trust him andyou're born again.

(23:57):
Bless God, you're a newcreature.
Bless God, you're saved.
Bless God, you're filled withthe Holy Ghost.
Bless God, you're seated withhim in heavenly places and
nothing will ever separate youfrom the love of God.
Even your flesh will neverseparate you from the love of
God.
Even the devil will neverseparate you from the love of

(24:18):
God.
Nothing in this world, nothingabove this world, nothing
beneath this world, nothing ofthis world will ever separate
you from the love of God, andGod has given all of this.
God has secured this already, god has done this already and it

(24:39):
falls to you, and it falls toeveryone hearing this message.
It falls to you to believe him,to trust him in faith or to
walk away.
But, my friend, I hope you trusthim in faith, because there's a
point for you to listen to thismessage today.
You didn't find it by accident.
You didn't find it by accident.

(24:59):
You didn't find this message byaccident.
This message didn't go to youtoday by accident, but no,
because God wanted you to hearthis.
God wanted to encounter youtoday and God wanted you to know
that there is liberty andfreedom in Jesus Christ, from

(25:20):
all manner of sin, whether itlooks really religious, whether
it looks really churchy, whetherit looks really Christian or
not.
God says that there is freedomand there's liberty.
And where the Spirit of God is,where the Spirit of Christ is,
there is liberty.
And that's not just foreverybody, it is for everybody.
But I want you to know today, and he wants you to know today,

(25:42):
that it is for you personally, and so be free today.
Let God provide for you today, because he loves you and this is
something that he delights todo.
Will you follow him, will youbelieve him and will you trust
him today, and hallelujah andamen.
