NEW BOOK! I'm pleased to say that we have completed a new book that has been years in the making. The Ten Shirot: Songs of Redemption looks at ten songs that were sung through pivotal times in Scripture. It's an examination of the redemption of Jesus, of worship, and of Scripture in a way that we believe you probably haven't seen before. Check it out at https://a.co/d/0a4KIooL .

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Hello, greetings and welcome to the Redeeming Love
Bible broadcast.
My name is Phil Duddy, evangelist with Grace Baptist
Tabernacle of King, northCarolina.
Thankful to the Lord to haveyou with me on the broadcast
today and please do reach out tous at redeemingthelost at
icloudcom.
We would love to hear from youthere.
Today I want to talk aboutsomething very, very simple the

(00:37):
simple presence of God and thereality that God is near and God
is not far away.
God is near, god is not faraway.
God is near.
He's not behind a wallsomewhere.

(00:57):
He's near.
He's not locked up in a boxsomewhere.
He's not locked up in a boxsomewhere.
He's not behind a bunch ofrituals waiting for you to do a
bunch of rituals to get to talkto him.
He's not waiting in a certainlocation that you have to get up
and go and you have to be inthat location in order to hear

(01:20):
something from God or in orderto say something to God.
He's close, he's near, and thisis true especially for those of
us who are born again, filledwith the Holy Spirit.
God is near, he is close.

(01:47):
I mean close is too small aword for someone who is filled
with the Holy Spirit, forsomeone who has believed Jesus,
for someone you know, the bloodof Jesus is applied to us and
our sin's no longer a factor.
Our sin is gone, our conscienceis purged from the old, dead
works and we are in the Lord andwe are rejoicing in the Lord
and we are living this abundant, full, fruitful life in the Lord

(02:10):
.
God is speaking to us, he'sleading to it, he's leading us.
We're speaking to Him.
He's speaking back.
God is bearing His fruit in usand so close.
To say that God is close tosomeone who is Spirit-filled
close is really too small a wordfor it.

(02:30):
You are in Christ and Christ isin you and there's a vibrant,
abundant life there.
And I want to draw yourattention to the reality that if
you're not born again today, ifyou're outside of Christ today,
well, god is not in a wall,he's not behind a wall, he's not

(02:54):
in a box.
He's not waiting for you to dosome rituals in the right manner
.
He's not waiting for you to getup and go to some sort of
specific location, some sort ofbuilding or some sort of service
or some sort of plane ormountaintop or anything like

(03:16):
that.
He's not waiting for you to doany of these things.
He is close to you today and weare going to unpack this now.
We'll be at a few differentplaces in the scripture today,
but let's start with hebrews,chapter 10.
So hebrews, chapter 10.

(03:37):
So come down to verse 19 and wewill read the word of god.
And this is what the Word ofGod says to us Having, therefore
, brethren, boldness to enterinto the holiest by the blood of
Jesus, by a new and living waywhich he hath consecrated for us

(04:03):
through the veil, that is tosay his flesh, and having a high
priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a true
heart, in full assurance offaith, having our hearts
sprinkled from an evilconscience and our bodies washed
with pure water, with purewater, a new and a living way

(04:31):
which Jesus has consecrated, andthat is past tense.
Bless God, consecrated.
He has already set this wayapart, that this is the way we
come to the Lord, and it's a newway and it's a living way.
It's by the blood of Jesus andwe enter into the holiest and

(04:53):
bless God and amen the holiest.
And this verse talks about theholiest and if you go down to
verse 20, it talks about a veil.
He is consecrated for usthrough the veil, that is to say
his flesh.
And if you go back to thecrucifixion accounts in Matthew,

(05:14):
mark, luke and John, they givean account of the time that the
Lord was put onto the cross.
The time that the Lord went tothe cross and he was whipped and
he was beaten and he wasscourged and he was pierced with

(05:34):
the nails that held him ontothe cross.
He was pierced with those nails.
Scripture tells us he was alsopierced with a lance.
There was a soldier who waspresent at the crucifixion and
he pierced Jesus in the sidewith a spear, with a lance.

(05:57):
His flesh was torn.
And we have accounts in thescripture that right before
Jesus laid down his life, rightbefore Jesus gave up the ghost,

(06:21):
right before Jesus commitshimself into the hands of his
father and he dies a literaldeath on the cross, he lays down
his life on the cross.
He said it is finished.
Just before he laid down hislife, it is finished.

(06:42):
And Jesus died.
And the Gospels record that.
Something happened in the templeright when Jesus died.
Something happened in thetemple.
There was a place called theMost Holy Place or the Holy of

(07:04):
Holies in the temple and thisplace was sort of walled off.
There was like a wall around itand the wall was made of a veil
, and this veil was a heavycurtain that separated the holy
place from the most holy place.
And there's a whole lot ofteaching that can go on here.

(07:26):
There's a lot of study about thetemple itself and about the
tabernacle in the days of Moses, and you'll see that there was a
most holy place.
There was a holy place and amost holy place, and the most
holy place was covered or walledoff by a veil, by a heavy

(07:49):
curtain.
And inside that holy place andthe book of Hebrews tells us
this as well in chapter 9, therewas a most holy place and the
high priest went into that mostholy place once per year and the
priest was carrying blood withhim to offer for the errors of

(08:13):
the people, as Hebrews tells it,to offer for the sins of the
people, to offer for his ownsins.
It was necessary for the highpriest to offer for his own sins
, and this happened once a year.
And this most holy place, that's where the ark was in the

(08:35):
tabernacle, this is where themercy seat was, in the
tabernacle, this is where bloodwas applied for the sin of the
people, for the sins and theerrors of the people, once a
year, blood was applied and thehigh priest himself, who had to

(08:58):
go through a lot of cleansing.
There was a lot that the highpriest himself had to do in
order to perform this ministry, which was a godly ministry and a
good ministry under the law inthe time of the law.
And long story short, becauseyou could preach for six months

(09:21):
to a year.
Just on this, just on the Day ofAtonement, just on the various
and different sacrifices thatwere made under the law, whether
they were blood sacrifices orburnt offerings or wave
offerings or grain offerings.
There was a whole lot ofdifferent offering that was made

(09:44):
under the law.
But the point for today is thatevery one of those offerings,
even the veil itself and theHoly of Holies and the high
priest entering in with bloodonce a year to offer for the
sins of the people, once a yearto offer for the sins of the
people, god put it there and itall points to Jesus.

(10:10):
It all points to Jesus.
This new and living way that he, jesus, hath consecrated for us
.
He set it aside through theveil, that is to say his flesh.
So Hebrews, the Holy Ghost inthe book of Hebrews here, is

(10:32):
likening that old veil to theflesh of Jesus, the flesh of
Jesus.
And just as that flesh was torn.
The flesh of Jesus was torn, itwas pierced.
He was scourged.

(10:58):
There was a whipping that wenton during the scourging and then
he had to bring the cross upout of the city and he had to
have help carrying the crossbecause he was so scourged.
His flesh was torn.
And then, when he was put ontothe cross, his flesh was torn
again by the nails that weredriven through his flesh While
he hung on the cross.

(11:20):
His flesh was torn yet againwhen the soldier thrust a spear
into his side.
And how powerful is it thatwhen he died, the veil that
separated the most holy placefrom the other parts of the

(11:44):
temple, that separated that mostholy place from the other parts
of the temple, that separatedthat most holy place, that veil
was torn from top to bottom.
Glory to God.
What does this mean?
That we have a new and livingway.
The book of Hebrews says we havea high priest over in the house

(12:09):
of God.
That's Jesus.
Let us draw near, because Godhas opened the way.
God has torn the veil.
God is not waiting for you tocome and do a bunch of rituals.
He's not waiting for you tocome and bring an offering.

(12:30):
He's not waiting for you tocome and say a certain prayer.
He's not waiting for you to bein a certain state of emotion.
He's not waiting for you to bein a certain state of mind.
He's not waiting for you to bein a certain state of mind.
He's not waiting for you to bein a certain situation.
He's not waiting for you toclean yourself up before you

(12:51):
come into his presence.
He's not waiting for you.
He says I have removed everypossible barrier that could come
up between myself and a humanbeing.
God has removed every barrier, god has removed every wall.

(13:18):
He has removed everything by anew and living way, which he has
set aside for us through theveil, that is to say, his flesh,
jesus.
And he says let us draw near.
Let us draw near because, myfriend, the blood of Jesus has

(13:43):
already been shed.
My friend, the blood of Jesushas already been shed.
My friend, the blood of Jesushas already been accepted and
received by God on your behalf, and Jesus is alive.
This is a living way and wedon't relate with God on the

(14:05):
basis of death.
We don't relate with God on thebasis of sin.
We relate with God on the basisof life.
Hallelujah and amen, becauseGod is alive.
Father, son, holy Spirit.

(14:26):
They are three in one, one inthree.
The point is we have a livingGod.
He's alive and he's well andhe's mighty and he's powerful
and he's good, and he's notlooking for you to make offering
after offering after offering, simply to be in his presence.

(14:49):
He has consecrated a new andliving way.
Jesus himself, he said on thenight before he was crucified.
He said I am the way, the truthand the life.
I am the way, the truth and thelife.

(15:13):
God came down and God reachedout, and God made this possible.
He made it possible for anybodyto be born again.
Jesus has presently, right now, right this minute, made it

(15:34):
possible for whosoever willbelieve on him to be born again,
to be saved, to be healed, tobe saved from the wrath of God,
to have his blood applied andfor all of the sin to be washed
away.
Jesus, right this very moment, right this very moment, the Lord

(16:00):
is drawing people to himself.
Jesus said a little while beforehe was crucified.
He said I'm going to be raisedup.
And he was speaking about beingraised up on the cross, because
the cross, you know, didn'thappen on the ground.
There was a raising up so thatpeople could see the person who

(16:23):
was crucified.
It was a public spectacle.
Jesus knew he was going to beraised up on the cross and Jesus
also knew why he was going tobe raised up on the cross.
He was going to lay down hislife and give his life as a
ransom.
He was going to die the deaththat we deserve.

(16:45):
He was going to bear our sinsand, at the same exact time, he
was going to fulfill the law.
He was going to fulfill the dayof atonement, when the high
priest entered into the mostholy place once a year, with

(17:06):
blood for himself and blood forthe people.
He was going to fulfill thatlaw.
He was going to fulfill thePassover.
He was going to fulfill theentire law of Moses that he had

(17:26):
given to Moses to point forwardto himself.
He was going to fulfill thatlaw and make it possible for Jew
and Gentile alike to be bornagain, for Jew and Gentile alike
to be saved from the wrath ofGod, for Jew and Gentile alike

(17:52):
to be in the presence of Godwithout bringing any offering
for themselves selves, buthaving received the offering

(18:15):
that God made on your behalf.
See, jesus made an offering onyour behalf.
He's the Son of God, he's fullyGod and fully man.
So that's why I say God made anoffering on your behalf.
God literally made his offering.
Jesus was born of a virgin.
Jesus was born and he had abody.

(18:37):
He had flesh.
The word became flesh and dweltamong us and walked among us
and ministered and preached andbore witness to the truth and
wept among us and walked amongus and ministered and preached
and bore witness to the truthand wept and laughed and sang,
and he hungered and he thirstedand he ate and he was filled and
he ministered among us and hewalked among us.
And when the time drew near andwhen the time was right, he

(19:02):
shed blood.
He shed real, literal blood foryou and me and he laid down a
real, literal life and he died areal, literal, true death for
you and me to make it, so thatyou and I could receive what

(19:23):
he's already done, so that youand I could receive what he's
already done, so that you and Icould simply receive him and
everything that he did for us onthat old, rugged cross.
You know he responds to prayertoday.
You know the Holy Spirit dwellsin living temples.

(19:48):
Paul would write that in hisletters to the Corinthians that
you are, if you're saved and ifyou're born again, you are the
temple of the Holy Spirit.
You are the temple.
The temple and even thetabernacle.

(20:09):
Before that looked ahead towhat Almighty God was going to
do in your life, what AlmightyGod was going to do in the
church, what God was going to doin all of the individual men,
women and children, all of theindividual living temples that

(20:31):
make up the church.
See, every single one of us whois born again, god says you're
a temple of the Holy Spirit, you're a living temple.
You come to God through a livingway.
You relate with God, who isalive on the basis of life and

(20:52):
not death.
Why?
Because God already took yoursin off the table.
There is no more death.
Death has lost its sting.
God has given you eternal life, and so you relate with a living
God, having an eternal lifethat you got from the living God

(21:13):
, and this life is abundant andfull, and God is bearing his
fruit in you on a moment bymoment by moment by moment by
moment by moment by moment bymoment by moment by moment basis
.
We relate with God on the basisof life, because Jesus has
already taken care of our death.

(21:33):
By his death, by his blood, byhis sacrifice that he made and,
hallelujah and amen, by the factthat he rose again from the
dead on the third day, he hasalready taken sin off the table.

(21:55):
He has already removed not onlythe veil that separated the most
holy place from the holy place, not only the veil that was
there under the law, but I'lltell you the truth, man, he has
removed fornication.
He has removed murder.

(22:17):
He has removed hatred.
He has removed pride.
He has removed all the twisted, false doctrines of devils.
He has removed apostasy.
He has removed blame.
He has removed hurt andwoundedness.

(22:41):
He has removed depression anddespair.
He has removed all of itBecause, my friend, by his
stripes we are healed.
My friend, jesus became yoursin on the cross.

(23:01):
He became everything of sin, everything that could possibly
separate God from you.
He became it and he bore it andhe died and he's risen again.

(23:28):
And so, my friend, if you'reapart from God today, you're not
alone.
It's not that God is pushingyou away.
If you are apart from God today, it's not that God hasn't made
it possible for you to be bornagain and to be in his presence

(23:49):
and to be with him.
My friend, the only reasonanybody is apart from God is
because of unbelief.
Reason anybody is apart fromGod is because of unbelief.
The only reason anybody isapart from God is because people
choose to believe somethingother than Him.
People choose to believe insomething else, people choose to

(24:14):
trust other things that aren'tGod.
But, my friend, you can't lookat the New Testament and the Old
Testament and say that Godwants anybody to be apart from
him, because he already tookaway everything that could
possibly separate us and, what'smore, possibly separate us and

(24:43):
what's more.
He's not waiting for you tocome, he's not waiting for you
to make the first move, he's notwaiting for you to reach out to
him first.
Now, my friend, the Holy Spiritis reaching out to you right now
, today, while you're listeningto this message, to this message
, and he says I want you to bewith me.

(25:04):
I've made it all possible.
You don't need to bring anysort of blood offering, you
don't need to bring any sort ofmoney.
You don't need to bring anysort of effort you don't need to
bring.
You don't need to go to acertain place, you don't need to
be in a certain frame of mind, you don't need to wear certain
clothes, you don't need to be ina certain situation.
No, I'm coming to you right now, as you are.

(25:26):
I'm coming to you right now.
Listen to that.
God is coming to you, for whilewe were yet sinners, christ died
for us.
Jesus never waited for theworld to get its act together.
Jesus never waited for theworld to get right with him.
No, he came while the world wasyet in sin, while people were

(25:54):
yet sinners.
Jesus showed up and Jesus wascrucified.
He willingly went to the crosswhile we were yet sinners.
He died for us while we wereyet sinners.
He rose again while we were yetsinners.
And he's calling you today to gofrom sinner to saint, and he's

(26:22):
the way that that happens.
He's calling you today tobelieve him.
He's calling you today to putyour trust in him.
He's calling you today to youknow.
In a way, it's like he'sreaching out a hand to you, to
you know.
In a way, it's like he'sreaching out a hand to you.
He's calling you today to takehis hand and say if you believe

(26:45):
on me, I'll take care of therest.
I already have you.
Believe on me.
You're a sinner now, but I'mgoing to make you into a saint.
You're lost and you're dying,but I'm going to make you into a
saint.
You're lost and you're dying, but I'm going to receive you and
you're going to be adopted andyou're going to be healed and

(27:10):
you're going to be in mypresence and you're going to be
with me, where I am, and I'mnever going to let you go.
I'm going to take care of yoursin.
Your sin is going to be washedaway because of what I've

(27:31):
already done.
You're going to be healed.
You're going to have my HolySpirit dwelling within you.
You're going to be in mypresence.
I'm going to be in yourpresence.
You're going to be in mypresence.
I'm going to be in yourpresence.
I'm going to be in you.
You're going to be in me.
You're going to be with me.
I'm going to be with you.
There's going to be a closenessthat we have and I'm never

(27:58):
letting you go.
You'll call to me and I'llrespond to you.
I'll minister to you and I'llrespond to you.
I'll minister to you and I'llminister through you.
You will have a holy, good, abundant life.
You will have a peace that thisworld cannot understand and
cannot counterfeit and cannotreproduce.
You will have a peace thatcomes directly from me and you

(28:20):
will be in my presence by a newand living way, which Jesus has
consecrated for us through theveil, that is to say his flesh,
having a high priest, that'sJesus, again over the house of

(28:40):
God.
Draw near.
The word of God says, let usdraw near.
But, my friend, I say to youtoday, don't wait another second
.
Draw near with a true heart, infull assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from anevil conscience and our bodies

(29:01):
washed with pure water.
My friend, the blood of Jesusis for you today and I hope,
church, that this is anencouragement to you.
My friend, jesus is in us, weare in Christ and Christ is in
us.
And, my friend, I shouldencourage you follow what the

(29:26):
book of Hebrews says Draw nearto your Lord, hallelujah and
amen, for your Lord is so verynear you.
You draw near to him.
And, my friend, if you're lost,if you're dying, if you're hell
bound, if you're under thewrath of God, today, why should

(29:48):
you perish.
There's no reason for you toperish, because the Lord has
died your death and his bloodavails for you.
He is alive today.
Call to him in faith.
Call to him in faith, call uponthe name of the Lord, jesus

(30:12):
Christ, and you shall be saved.
You shall be saved.
His blood that he's alreadyshed for you will be applied to
you through faith and you'll beborn again and you'll be saved
and you'll be filled with theHoly Spirit of God, no longer

(30:42):
looking forward to a death, butfilled with an eternal life.
And, my friend, I pray that thispodcast, this broadcast, has
been a real encouragement to you.
