Poe’s tale of revenge, served ice cold, was published in the November 1846 issues of the magazines “Godey’s lady’s Book” and “The New England Weekly Review”.
Our production was adapted and directed by Tony Tsendeas, with incidental music and sound scape by David Crandall.
Our star , John Astin, has performed a one-man show called “Edgar Allan Poe: Once Upon a Midnight”, written by Paul Day Clemons and Ron Magid.
Said John about Poe: “I feel that Poe, through his own tortured existence, gained deep insight into the nature of the universe, along with an intense love and appreciation for life itself. Through this play I want to share that impression with others."
John Astin has had a long, rich career as an actor in radio, films and television, taught theater at Johns Hopkins University, and is most famously know for his role as "Gomez Addams" in the television show "The Addams Family".
