Shea is a fellow 5/1 Reflector, quad left, Cross of Separation, and the incredible voice behind The Uncommon Exposé podcast. She’s also a women’s personal trainer who’s deeply passionate about helping women feel empowered in their bodies and beliefs.
This chat was honest, energised, and so beautifully relatable. We explored the initial resistance many Reflectors feel when first discovering their design, and what happens when the narrative we’re given doesn’t match our lived experience. Shea shares how it felt to be labelled “the 1%” and the disbelief that followed, before she began uncovering the depth and truth of her Reflector nature.
We speak about emotional processing, discerning what’s ours, shifting energy quickly, the push-pull between productivity and burnout, and what it means to do things our way. Shea also shares openly about her time in the military, navigating motherhood, and how Human Design gave her permission to stop trying to be one thing.
This is a chat about being multi-passionate, redefining success, and trusting your own process as a Reflector. I adored it.

Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang. Gabe doesn’t know all the details of his brother’s nefarious dealings, and he’s made a point not to ask, to protect their relationship. But when Larry is murdered during a home invasion in a rented beach house, Gabe has no choice but to look into what happened that night. To solve Larry’s murder, Gabe, and the whole Ortiz family, must ask each other tough questions.
