In the month of August 9th and10th I have a class, a level one
and two class, followed by amaster class At the bay.
Those are the whale classeswhere in the middle of the class

(01:39):
we actually go out, whalewatching, although sometimes the
whales actually come up and wehave a little bit of a hard time
paying attention in classbecause they join the class with
us, which is really fun.
Also, in August, the 16th to20th, I have animal Reiki one,

(02:00):
two, and master.
Training.
And we just love to have youjoin us for that.
If you can, at the end ofAugust, we'll be, I'll be
heading to the Reiki retreat inSedona.
And if you haven't been thinkingabout that, give it give it a
look, give it a thought.
Sedona is very special.

(02:20):
And it's a lovely retreat toattend.
So Jill, what do you have comingup in the next little bit?
Do I?

Jill (02:28):
I have always more Reiki classes.
I know I have an animal Reikiclass in May.
At Wild Acres Wellness in a TPLive Sound Healing.
That's a fun class, end of May.
And Reiki 1 and 2 in there.
I also have Launch Sound Healingclasses as well.
So there's some one in August, one in October, and one in

(02:53):
November.
Or one, I'm sorry, August,September, and November.
So those are also Available bothall on my websites Minnesota
Reiki Center or Minnesota SoundHealing are the websites where
you can take a look at those.

Pam (03:08):
And learn more.
And your class is filled reallyquickly, Jill.
I think of all the licensedteachers, you're you book way
ahead.
You fill, and I should havementioned, you're out of
Minnesota.
And so just encourage people tohave a look at those.
I think you've already got, they're booked ahead already,
aren't they?

Jill (03:27):
A lot of them are.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But there's always more that Iask.
Always more.
If I'm in your area and it worksfor you.
For you and yeah, take a lookand plan ahead.
Definitely plan ahead

Pam (03:38):
for sure.
And I love the wild acres, theclass and the teepee.
That just really speaks to myimagination.
That sounds amazing.
So yeah.
Yeah.
I love

Jill (03:49):
live, sound healing and live animals and it's a
beautiful location and we have alot of fun.

Pam (03:54):
Oh yeah.
I, maybe someday I'll join youthere,

Jill (03:58):
Thanks.
That would be lovely.
That would be great.

Pam (04:00):
Guys, before we go too much further, I'm just going to
invite everybody to put yourhands together and activate
Reiki.
And in addition to sound healingand Reiki, Jill is also an
experienced massage therapist.
And she's going to be talkingwith us today just about how to
integrate Reiki into thesemodalities.

(04:24):
And we'll have an opportunity tofinish today with a beautiful
sound healing experience.
But for right now, I just inviteyou to bring in any symbols that
you feel guided to bring in andjust moving your consciousness
to the bottoms of your feet andjust allowing that consciousness

(04:50):
to move through the earth allthe way down to the groundwater
and the bedrock beneath.
And just feeling strong andstable.
Take a moment to consider withthe sound healing that we'll
experience later.

(05:11):
Is there anything that you'reready to let go of?
Is there anything you'd like tobring in?
And in talking about integratingReiki with these other
modalities, are there any othermodalities that you would like

(05:35):
to explore or would like tointegrate Reiki into?
And just feeling the light ofReiki move through your hands.
And to your heart, we inviteReiki to guide us now and
always.
We sing please guide me and healme so that I may be of greater

(06:00):
service to myself and to others.
And we are so blessed to be ofthis lineage of light bringers
who are creating wellness on theearth today.
You creating wellness withinyou.
Namaste.
Thank you.

(06:21):
Jill, I first wanted to reachout to you when I recently
taught a massage therapist andshe was asking, how do I
integrate Reiki into massagetherapy?
And I said you know what?
I know who knows all about that.
You even wrote an article.
Call about.
It's this and I think we'llconnect, put the link to the,

(06:43):
your two articles into the thepodcast notes.
How did you first startcombining reiki with massage
therapy?
What did it look like?
And then how did that eventuallylead to bringing sound therapy
in.

Jill (07:01):
Yeah, good question.
Good question.
Actually, I was drawn to Reikifirst and sometimes people
coming into this may start withmassage and then add Reiki and
some people are Reikipractitioners who end up adding
massage or another modality.
So for me, my journey actuallystarted with Reiki first, and

(07:21):
that was getting sessions, in,in 2000, 2001.
And then, which eventually ledme to taking Reiki in 2004.
So I took the Reiki one and twoclass at that time, and it was
mostly just for self.
I didn't plan on, starting abusiness.
I didn't know, a lot of us comein I don't know what I'm going
to do with this.

(07:42):
I just am called to it, and so Ididn't have any plans or
knowledge and didn't really knowmuch about it.
And it was, My first class wasjust with somebody local that, I
think had actually learned it,not, These are really simple
words.
And most people did not knowthis word long Before so they
didn't know a lot and it was,Holy Fire wasn't out, But it
worked and So didn't matter likeit still worked some of Us have

(08:05):
these stories, about Our firstReiki classes and stuff and and
I, didn't know what to expect,But After a couple of years,
that's when I heard theguidance.
And after some healing ithappened I was actually in
Mexico for the winter and I,heard this voice say, when you

(08:27):
come back, you're not going backto your nine to five job.
You need to go into massage soyou can get more hands on
experience and then you can havea full time Reiki business.
Originally, I wanted to do Reikifull time, but in, 2004 this was
not this was something peopledid, but it was not very well

(08:49):
known.
And, I to laugh I think, we werestill in the social media.
world of MySpace.
And so I think about mytimeframe of what's going on,
like what social media platformwas around at the time.
Now, like there's a lot moreawareness with TikToks and,
Facebook and, Instagram, all ofthese things provide us with a

(09:10):
lot more resources to Reiki thanwe had where before you'd go to
the library or a bookstore, nowthere's a lot of other
resources.
So there wasn't a lot ofinformation.
I had my purple manual and andother than that, it was what can
you get out there?
Needless to say, I didn't knowabout the spiritual guidance of
Reiki but I did know that I feltreally drawn to it.

(09:32):
to go into massage therapy.
So when I got home I enrolledand I went through then the
massage therapy program.
And I then also took my master'straining.
So this was now 2006.
And so it's, it'd been a coupleof years and and then very
quickly.

(09:53):
Immediately I knew I was in theright direction on my path
because all restrictions hadcleared and the path was open.
And now I was, having, noproblems like finding work.
And also because I have an artbackground.
I had, I'd made my own website,so I was self employed.
But I also then.

(10:13):
Gained a lot of experience in alot of different types of
settings from spas, salons,chiropractors hospitals
different things.
Eventually then became aneducator at the Aveda Institute.
That's where I took my massageprogram and then I taught the
massage and bodywork programthere for about six years.

(10:34):
And also then had my ownbusiness part time.
I eventually moved away fromworking for other people.
I always had my own businessgoing once I got started, but
essentially I balanced it outwith teaching part time and then
running my own business.
was where I was going with andeven at that point, massage

(10:55):
therapy was still becoming moreaccepted.
A lot of people for a long timesaw it to be fluff, but now it
was getting accepted forinsurance and, chiropractors are
using it and people are likestarting to acknowledge it then
more than just fluff, that it'sactually therapeutic and

(11:15):
beneficial.
And and I was part of thatmovement of where, those kinds
of businesses, though have beenaround we're seeing.
Not a lot of people did them.
And now we know that's expandedand grown tremendously, which is
great because it's become a lotmore mainstream, which is what
we want.
So that's the path that got methere.

(11:38):
And then for many years, Ifocused.
On working.
I had massage, I had reikimassage.
And I did that for about 15years.
And

Pam (11:47):
how did you break it down, Jill?
Like you said, so you wouldoffer straight massage, straight
reiki, and then this combined.

Jill (11:54):
Yeah, so that, yeah, so that actually, and it's not
uncommon and a lot of you thatif you're listening to this and
have been doing reiki or you'renew to reiki.
Either one, you'll notice thatover time you change and you
shift, you start off okay, I'mgoing to do it this way.
But then as you become moreintuitive, you get more oh,

(12:16):
okay, I can do my own thing.
And so the process of doing thisReiki and massage evolved, like
it started off where in my mind,I thought that it was important
to keep them separate.

sound healing (12:28):
That,

Jill (12:29):
that I would have Reiki, that I would have massage, and
then I would have this Reikimassage.
Okay.
And because, if people wantedmassage, I, I wanted to respect
their free will.
But what's so funny is that youjust find out when you start
working with Reiki, a lot oftimes it just turns on.

sound healing (12:46):
So

Jill (12:48):
people are coming in for massage and I'm like, they're
getting Reiki.
And after a while you realizethere's really no reason to
really separate this.
The people that are meant tocome to you are going to come to
you and they're going to get thebenefits.
Regardless.
And because they're giving youpermission by coming to you, and
so it's pretty rare for somebodyto say, I only want your massage

(13:12):
therapy.
And if that's the case.
You

Pam (13:14):
were clear in your website that the Reiki was available and
was, could be part of it.
Yeah.

Jill (13:20):
Yeah.
So with that, people if theyobviously didn't want it, the
Reiki wouldn't turn on.
It's, so this is those, you'regetting going with things,
you're figuring it out.
So I wanted to say that evolvedover Over time, but in the
beginning it was very separatein the way that it would look
when I would, obviously amassage is a standard massage.
A Reiki treatment is more of astandard Reiki treatment and the

(13:42):
Reiki massage would be acombination.
So in the beginning I would Iworked a lot more to like with
crystals.
I would do all the crystals and,I would do all the Reiki
positions and then we would goin and do massage.
So it was like a combinationlike that.
But then over time as it evolvedI use less and less, like I do

(14:03):
use crystals, but I don't likeprobably use as many as I used
to.
It's a lot more selective, intentional before it was like,
putting them on the differentchakras and palm stones.
Like it was a lot of fun.
It was a lot of stuff.
But over time, the energy was.
Kind of it just showed me likeactually, you don't have to do

(14:24):
that.
And if people want to do that, like then they can.
And at one time that's how I didit.
And then my point is over timeit evolved into what I would say
a lot more of an intuitiveexperience that was more
minimal.
There was less thinking about itis essentially like now they're,
towards the end in doing it,it's okay what's your problem

(14:47):
area?
Okay.
Neck and shoulders.
All right.
We're going to start with someReiki.
And then we're going to focus onneck and shoulders, or their
trouble area because I becamemore of a specialist of what is
going on with you?
What do we need to focus on?
And so rather than let's doeverything, before it would be

(15:08):
like a full Reiki treatment andfull massage, where then, Over
time, it was like, the energywas like, let's work more
intuitively where we just needto work, which I could tell the
energy could go anywherethroughout the body.
It's not uncommon for me to evenbe working with Reiki.
on their head and to have themfeel it flowing through their

(15:30):
whole body.
So one thing that I've noticedwith Reiki is that the energy,
you don't need to go everywherefor it to go.
Like we know as we're workingit, you find energetic doorways
and windows and things and it'swhoa, how come that's going all
the way over to here?
And I built up my confidence andstuff and by doing everything, I

(15:52):
know I gave thorough Reikitreatments before, like maybe
more of a Takata style, coverall of these positions.
When I first learned Reiki, itwas more about the hand
positions covering all thosepositions.
Retaken Reiki classes andlearned more and got my
confidence and feedback.
I've realized that actually theReiki is doing more and has more

(16:17):
ability.
Like I don't need to do all ofthat.
So that's how the style hasevolved.
And so for some of you out therethat might be thinking of doing
this, that, that might be how itworks for you too.
Like you might, Be doingsomething now or the Reiki might
guide you to a specific way todo it.
And in a couple of years fromnow, you might be doing it

(16:37):
differently.
And that's okay.
And that's what I've noticedwith how I give that.
Now to finish up your finalthing was, and then

sound healing (16:47):
how to sound healing.

Jill (16:48):
Yeah, about the sound healing.
After doing it for many years, one of the things massage
therapists have to always bemindful of is the burnout.
And so most massage therapiststypically only last about five
years because of injury orburnout.
And and so by learning Reiki, itactually allows you to have a

(17:09):
longer career because if you canback off I've had feedback where
people would say, One massageReiki with you did more than 10
of the deepest tissue massagesthat I've ever had type of a
thing.
So it's very specific.
So as I said, like became moreof a specialist, I could zone in

(17:30):
and pinpoint very specific andnot even have to go that hard
or, Work hard, like to, get inthere, because that can be very
demanding on people.
And even if you're strong andany repetitive thing, so
tendonitis, frozen shoulders, carpal tunnel, a lot of these
things become chronic, yourelbow's great, but doing this

(17:53):
all the time, at some pointyou're going to, it's going to,
wear and tear.
And so that had become a concernafter many years.
I had, Become a specialist.
It was very effective.
I loved doing it, but thelongevity was like, even with
the Reiki after 15 years waslike, you know what, you got to
do something else.

(18:13):
So I have a background in musicand several years ago it started
coming in.
The guidance of Reiki to startadding sound healing to my
practice, and in a few years, you'll be transitioning out of
the massage and into that, andthat's how you're going to
shift, and I thought, oh, it'sso funny when something new

(18:34):
comes in because you're justlike, But how will I make any
money?
Who's going to want to havesound healing because it wasn't
popular at the time.
It was just like when I gotstarted with Reiki and massage,
like it wasn't popular.
I had to be the person to takethe leap of faith because I was
very busy as a massage therapistand a Reiki practitioner booked

(18:55):
out several months.
And I still am now even as asound healer and Reiki
practitioner, so it does work.
So I will tell you that part.
But in the beginning I rememberbeing like, huh.
But I took a leap of faith and Istarted practicing and getting
instruments and things.
Which eventually led me tostarting to bring them in.
And I, and, and that when Istarted my sound healing with

(19:17):
Reiki, it was the same sort ofjourney.
It looks a lot different than itdid, than it does now.
In, in how I was guided to dothat.
But it was basically at onepoint around the pandemic that I
decided at that point, that waswhen I was done doing massage
and that I would just focus withthe Reiki and the sound was when

(19:37):
I fully did out like in 2020.
I actually stepped away frommassage.

sound healing (19:44):
And

Jill (19:45):
so now it's been, we're going on five years now where I
have actually successfully addedthe sound healing.
I started A few years beforethat but, got out then.

Pam (19:58):
Wow.
Amazing.

Jill (19:59):
Yeah.
Yeah.

Pam (20:01):
I love that.
And tell me something, becauseeach of these modalities work
well on their own, and I'm justgoing to ask you if you can go
through what they, what each ofthem does individually, and then
what you noticed by combiningthem with Reiki, because I think
Reiki can combine with justabout any modality, and we

(20:25):
notice a change.
What did you notice specificallywhen you added it?
Reiki to massage.
You mentioned it wasn't so hardon you and your clients would
get more from it.
And what did you noticespecifically when you use Reiki
together with sound healing?

Jill (20:39):
Yeah.
Okay.
So you want me to talk about thesound healing part now?
Yeah.
Okay.
And

Pam (20:45):
also the if it makes sense to talk about the massage as
well, but yeah.
What what does, We know massagebrings like relaxation and
lymph, lymphatic movement.
And I'm, when you said peopledidn't really believe in it at
first, I was just gobsmackedbecause massage therapy in the
90s, in the early 90s is what, and it was new then.

(21:08):
But it is what got me throughfibromyalgia a fibromyalgia
diagnosis success.
I feel successful.
And But yeah so massage therapyhas a lot of different benefits.
And then when you added Reiki, what happened?
And then sound healing has a lotof different benefits.
And then what is the differencewhen you bring Reiki into that?

Jill (21:29):
Yeah, one of the main benefits that I find with the
sound healing is the ability tocut off a person's brain chatter
quicker.
So right now, especially, andwe're in a world because we're
so connected online and socialmedia and phones and people have

(21:51):
so much access, a lot of peopledon't know how to quiet their
brains.

sound healing (21:57):
Wow.

Jill (21:57):
And so they're coming in from wherever they were in their
busy life and then now lay downand just relax and get Reiki.
And they close their eyes andthey're like, why can't I relax?
And all of a sudden, all thethoughts start coming in.
And I noticed that several yearsago that even though people
might say, Oh yeah, I can feelthe Reiki, I can sense the

(22:20):
Reiki, things have happened.
There would be, people saying,Oh, I couldn't see.
Like I knew stuff was happening, but I couldn't stop my brain
from thinking.
And they weren't getting into asdeep of a relaxation.
Some people would, but I wouldsay statistically more people
were not fully able to fullyrelax.

(22:43):
And, when I started doing thesound healing people were going
into more like people go intomore of a delta or a theta state
of relaxation.
So they're actually at thatspace of sleep where their
bodies relax so they can get outof the fight or flight and more
healing it can be happening fromwhat I, it can amplify the

(23:06):
healing.
Because they are fully let goand present and so the thoughts
aren't consuming them andthey're actually having more
experiences in the sessions anddeeper relaxation to falling
asleep or almost falling asleepor just overall having, seeing

(23:27):
more colors experiences and sonow I would Say, whereas before
it would be more common forpeople to, and even as a Reiki
practitioner, you have nocontrol over their brain and
peop And it would be veryrelaxing.
And they would say, yes, this isvery relaxing.
But I would always hear morepeople, Oh, I had some stuff

(23:48):
that I was thinking about, andit's just an hour.
It's just not enough timesometimes for them.
to get there.
But with the sound healing, they're going down in 10 minutes
and they're in and they'recoming out going, whoa, or I had
a thought, but it didn't consumeme and they just passed by me.
So that is helpful then withbrain entrainment and brain

(24:10):
entrainment is like resettingyour brain.
And by using things likebinaural beats, they create this
left and right brain balancingwhere to, like I said, delta,
theta, some alpha state, depending on that of relaxation,
to really just shut your brainoff.
So that's one of the mainbenefits that I talk about is

(24:33):
the deep states.
And I've had Some folks nowcoming in that are have high,
higher stress and are workingwith therapists and things that
are able to, with enough soundhealing and Reiki sessions, be
able to, in their sessions tapinto that, like they can feel
that their brain is actuallybeing rewired where they will

(24:54):
say, I've gone into this statenow that my therapist would have
thought, Oh, Wow, how are youable to do that?
And they've realized because thesound healing is really
balancing their left and rightbrain, they're able to, in other
situations, go into a relaxedstate even quicker.

(25:14):
So that's a huge benefit rightthere.
But other things too are justthe actual frequencies
themselves, as we know, if we'relistening to beautiful music
that brings emotions and criesand just like smell taste these
are stimulus responses.
And so this is stress relievingand the sound itself, as it

(25:35):
vibrates in your body, itactually will shift areas, just
like Reiki.
Reiki is like a vibrationaltherapy in a sort of a way, like
it's coming in and it's seekingout where you're holding
negative energy in your body, and it's moving it out.
And the sound is coming in anddoing the same thing.
So you're just amplifying that.

(25:56):
So it also is breaking upphysical, emotional, spiritual
blocks and imbalances that wehave, and it's helping to
release those where if we thinkabout, Like somebody, like we
use things to describe peoplelike, oh, they're very high
strung or, they're out of tune.
And if you notice like differentthings about frequency, and it's

(26:17):
in, so that's essentially whathappened.
Like our nervous systems arelike going out of tune.
And as a healer and apractitioner, we're sensing
where is this out of balance.
And if you have a area and itcorrelates with various
different notes and things andthen you're it that's out of
tune and you bring thatfrequency back into the body

(26:37):
you're tuning that you're tuningthat like you're getting a tune
up right so a lot of thesethings you know go with language
that we even use around soundand so that is what sound is
doing and so really it is addingto your experience and your
session by amplifying all of theresults.

(26:59):
As Pam mentioned, Reiki is verycomplementary to everything.
And so we know it just makeswhatever you're doing better.
The same thing with sound, butsound on its own is a very
powerful healer.
And again, thinking about likeyour favorite song and if it
makes you cry and how it makesyou feel.
And if you have a smell withthat, like, All of these things

(27:20):
are parasympathetic nerveresponses, and so you hear a
good sound, it makes you feelgood it brings you back into
balance, and and then there'salso different healing sounds
that we know about that are alittle more mainstream.
We've heard about Solfeggio and432 Hertz and things.

(27:41):
And if you read a lot of theinformation about that kind of
stuff, at the end of the day,Sound is healing whatever sounds
good to you.
It's not like this is betterthan this and so as a sound
healer, it's important to listento thinking about these
different frequencies.
But It's sound plus intentionequals healing.

(28:03):
It's not just the frequency thatheals.
And so it's if you have apreference on, 432 Hertz or 528
Hertz, this is a whole otherconversation.
It's a question that I get.
And it's always the answershould be not one is better than
the other.
It's what sounds good to you?
And then just like the Reiki, just like each Reiki

(28:25):
practitioner is different.
You're bringing your own healingand your energy to that.
And then you're using the soundto enhance that with your
intention.
The Reiki is the intention.
The sound is like the vehicleand together it enhances and
creates healing, but it's notlike that.
432 hertz is better than 440 andso forth.

(28:47):
Each different thing hasdifferent reasons and why people
would choose.
Or but it's not just like one isbetter than the other.
And so overall, this is why Iuse it.
I've also then seen it in,enhance things.
I wrote an article in thecurrent Reiki News Magazine.

(29:07):
Called it's so I'm like, I can'teven remember the name of my
article, but I

Pam (29:12):
think it has the word Sofi, Sofegio.
I

Jill (29:15):
know.
It's is it healing with Sofegiofrequencies?
It's so funny.
I'm on the spot.
I'm like, I don't remember thename of my article, but but it
is it's so funny.
Sulfeggio Frequencies, Reiki andSulfeggio Frequencies, I think
is what it finally says orsomething.
But I do talk about a couple ofcase studies in there.
And obviously some of thesebenefits of course, are also

(29:35):
from the Reiki.
But what I find is like thisamplification and so things are
happening quicker, right?
Like it's just like anaccelerant, like putting a
crystal on something, right?
You're adding a little oomph toit.
And and so that's what we'redoing, and the same thing with
the massage, it's you're addinga little oomph, like the person
saying, wow, that one Reikimassage, was like 10 of this

(29:57):
other one, like it adds someoomph to it, and so it's it
there, it's great to complimentanything with reiki.
But you can take a look at thearticle and read a couple of
those case studies that I didwith folks on how, and some
benefits and stuff that I'veseen.
But I do point out one of themain thing is this deeper states

(30:20):
of relaxation.
which is like with everybody.
And so it is nice to now notnecessarily hear people say, I
couldn't relax.
It's they're, they are relaxing.
They are relaxed.
That, that does not usually comeup every once in a while.
But like I said, before soundhealing, I noticed that it was,

(30:42):
there is people, like I said, people love their Reiki
sessions.
We can't control what'shappening to them before they
come here.
And when it's lay down and relaxnow, that's sometimes when
people realize I actually have alot going on in my mind that I
wasn't aware of.
And that's a good thing.
It's a good thing to know.
Oh, good.

(31:02):
I've got stuff going on.
I probably should let this go.
How do we do that?
Oh we do that with self care andReiki.
Like Western people are a redpill, blue pill, like I want
results immediately.
It might take three to fivesessions, so I'm finding these
times are speeding up a lotquicker.
So for me, I like that becausebenefits are happening a lot

(31:25):
quicker and I'm having lesspeople, like I said they'll,
they're hard on themselves.
Oh, how come I couldn't relaxmore?
We tend to pile on ourperformance.
Oh I couldn't, and we shouldn'tdo that.
Because we need to become awareof that.
We're having these issues.
That's part of like healing isgoing, I have these, I'm getting

(31:46):
accountable and I'm going to letgo of them.
But sometimes that's hard toconvey to somebody.
Because they're thinking intheir mind, I like this, but I
wish that I could havecontrolled that.
And and in this scenario thesound does it for you and it
just takes them right in andthen you don't hear that.

(32:08):
And I think that's great becauseI want people to be as relaxed
as possible.
It also means that they're, theyfeel.
They trust me and that they feelcomfortable and that they're in
a place that they can heal.
And that's why I'm here.
I want people to be able to healand so sound is a way that I'm

(32:31):
able to like I said, amplifythat and and help people on a
deeper level.

Pam (32:39):
Jill, as you were bringing Reiki into both of these
modalities, did you experienceany resistance anywhere?

Jill (32:47):
From local people, or from myself, or A massage

Pam (32:50):
therapy board, or anything like that?

Jill (32:54):
No actually in Minnesota, it's very we're very open here,
so there's no legislation aroundmassage or energy work in the
world of Reiki legislation, wehave what's called the Safe
Harbor Bill and so things likehair and skin.
Chiropractic, things like thatare all board certified and

(33:15):
licensed.
Whereas like massage, Reiki aremore like certificates or
certification.
So places, of course, are goingto want to see your credentials,
but there's no board overseeingthat in making you.
Meaning that people can openbusinesses and get a city
license or a business license.
They don't actually need to havethe skills.

(33:37):
So it's a two way.
Like on one level it's great, but on another level it causes
issues.
There's no perfect situation andin other states they have like
very strict laws and so then youmight see some pushback and
stuff.
And the grass is always greener.
There should be some middle ofthe road here, as far as I'm
concerned because having ittotally open is not a great

(34:00):
philosophy either.
So I didn't really have thatpushback.
But in general, we know that, people have judgments and things
around, complimentary.
I like to say complimentaryversus alternative.
Cause I do think that it's notinstead of, I think it should
always be in addition towhatever you're but it takes a

(34:23):
village I always say it's not, you're gonna maybe be working
with other people along thisjourney which is great of
healing and, when a part of theReiki helped me to heal me
wanting to do things that otherpeople would be happy, instead I
was like, I want to do whatmakes me happy, and So even

(34:46):
though, of course, there isopposition on certain levels
it's what I really wanted to doand, prior to that, I was an
artist and a designer, which Iliked but I had reached a point
where Maybe it really wasn'twhat I should be doing as a
career, like that, that this iswhat I should be doing.

(35:06):
So some of where I hadresistance was just my own
insecurities.

Pam (35:11):
It was you.
Should I

Jill (35:12):
do this?
Yeah.
But then there were things, andas things have gotten more
mainstream they're it's becomemore and more well known.
But overall, Minnesota is areally remarkable state.
I, I love it here.
The people are great and andpretty open.
And so we've got a pretty, soeven though maybe I was one of a

(35:37):
few people the community hasalways been really great and
supportive, and I think for alot of people, it has been, so I
never really faced any seriousopposition, and I live in the
city and so in the city, too,it's always going to be,
there's, three and a halfmillion people or something, in
this metro area, And it's not abad place to start out because

(36:00):
it's, a lot more open being in acity versus like maybe starting
and being the only person in areally small town or something
like that might be a littleharder, sometimes it's, people
might say I'm the only one andit's sometimes being the only
one can be hard because, sometimes it's better to have a
few other people because you'renot the only weirdo.

(36:21):
I wouldn't say I'm weirdo, butit's not the only

Pam (36:24):
one doing that.
Yeah.
What I

Jill (36:26):
got my degree in, it's it's a self employed leap of
faith, a, I'm going to dohealing work, okay, good luck
with that.
Here I am 20 years later.
And and it was the right call.
But it did take 10 years toestablish myself.
And because I was newer and itwasn't well known and then it's,

(36:49):
and I've continued to evolve andlearn and grow because,
everything's impermanent time,everything changes.
Like I said, I don't do the samework that I did 20 years ago.
It's an extension of, but it'shelped me to be better at what I
do and from time to time I dohave some, sometimes somebody

(37:09):
might come in and go, I got afrozen shoulder or I got this
thing and I'm like, you knowwhat, we're going to do a little
bit of, massage on that I can'tdo it full time because it will
hurt me but from time to timeReiki will guide me to work with
people and all together.
Yep.
And it's and I do miss doingmassage.

(37:29):
I love massage.
I just, I wish I could do itforever.
And I like getting it and but ifyou are a body worker out there.
Make sure you take care ofyourself because, it's very
important.
And so Reiki will be one of yourbest friends and you'll have way
more longevity.
If you add Reiki, because like Isaid, you can be more specific

(37:53):
and provide less pressure whichis one of the main main reasons
for burnout is repetitive stressinjuries.
Yeah.

Pam (38:02):
Definitely.
Jill, before you lead us in asound meditation to wrap up, can
you tell us a little bit aboutthe specific bowls that you use?
Were guided to get.
I see that they're behind youfor those watching on video.
You can actually see thebeautiful colors and I remember
when you went down and got allof them and built the shelving

(38:24):
for them.
And so tell us a little bitabout why you chose those bowls
and what's special about them.
Because you sell those as well, don't you?

Jill (38:31):
I do.
And I have a whole another wallon the other side with more.
So I have about 100 bowls.
here in total.
And these come from KrystalTones.
When I originally started, Istarted with the quartz crystal
kind of starter bowls because Ididn't know if I was going to
like it or not, but I saw thesefirst and I was like, ooh, how
can I get those?
They're professionalinstruments.
So they're significantly moreexpensive but they're absolutely

(38:55):
beautiful.
And the sound and everything itis of a professional level.
And then it's And and gettingstarted, before you drop a bunch
of money.
It's good to know if you want todo it or not.
There's a lot of differentdirections and taking on this
course.
So if you're looking at theseand you like these They're
amazing.
And so my path eventually ledme, and working with it, I

(39:17):
realized, yes, I do want to dothis.
I really like this.
People are benefiting.
So at that point, I was guidedto go into a professional level
of instruments.
And it's important to understandthat there are different levels
of instruments out there.
There are professionalinstruments.
And so these are tunedinstruments.
And some of the tunings that yousee, you do see a lot of

(39:38):
different things for sale onlinethat sort of promote tunings and
stuff.
And a lot of that is justmarketing.
And it's not actual.
And sometimes you do go and readthe comments and that people are
misled because of various sortsof things that that are trendy.
And that's why I go back towhatever the right sound is the
right sound for you.

(39:59):
It shouldn't be based on somesort of marketing.
And so with these bowls, I havethe ability to put you into any
of these tunings that you wantto.
From 432 to 440 to, 444 with a528C that's all available and
they're all but it's a lot of itis based on what feels right to

(40:20):
you not marketing.
So these are all tunedinstruments.
They come from Crystal Tones andthey're called alchemy bowls
because they have.
Crystal and different preciousmetals in them making them
alchemy and then differentfrequencies and sounds and
notes.
And then when you play themtogether because they have
metals and crystal, they're likea combination between a Tibetan

(40:44):
or Himalayan bowl and a crystalbowl together.
And they create these beautifulharmonics of because like you'll
hear how crystal bowls soundmore.
or like a drone.
And metal bowls have overtonesand because of the metals that
are in there.
When you combine the crystalsand the metals together, you get
like a hybrid of a bowl.
So the crystal tones technologyis a newer, 20 some plus years

(41:09):
old and they come from Salt LakeCity.
And so they're made here andeach bowl is born.
So you can't like, I want thisnote with this.
Alchemy in it.
Sometimes you can find them thatway, but essentially they're
taking, they have all thesedifferent types of combinations
that they put in and then thisbeautiful bowl comes out and

(41:31):
they don't know what it's.
And then they check it and thenthey label it and it becomes
this note and so forth.
And I have all different typesof alchemies here and from
things like Citrine to SmokyQuartz, to Aqua Aura, to Jade
and Ruby.
I have Sedona Red Rock.

(41:52):
I have Sedona Red Rock, MountShasta, Serpentine with
Platinum.
Look at this bowl.
And so this is the combinationof stones, from Sedona through
the three main Sedona vortexesand then they take Stones from
the Mount Shasta vortex, andthen they put platinum in there

(42:16):
and then they put that togetherand then it makes this beautiful
bowl and so Yeah these are thisis a Super Grade, and so this is
a 100 percent quartz crystal, and the Super Grades are another
level up from the Alchemy Bowlsand they're the highest level of

(42:38):
alchemy, so most of the alchemybowls are 99.
9 percent crystal the supergrades are 100 percent crystal.
They have more sustain andclarity they're a higher price.
As well.
And they have some really bigsuper grades, 20 inches or
whatever and they can go reallylow really low.

(42:58):
The nice thing about the alchemybowls, they're very light.
And so you can carry themaround.
You can also put them on thebody.
You wanna be careful'cause youdon't want to break them because
they do come with a higher pricetag.
But the quartz crystal balls, you can't really put on the
body.
And you also need to be carefulbecause the regular chord
scores, they get very loud.
These get loud too but they, they blend and they harmonize in

(43:22):
a different way and the metalbowls you can put on bodies as
well but they can also get quiteheavy.
And so depending on what it is,everyone has a different style
and what they play, so I havemost of mine here are super
grades that we're working with, and and then obviously I have
all of these bowls for sale, sothey're all for sale on my

(43:42):
website.
And then I can help people pickbowls, or even too, I have folks
that have other bowls, like theyhave quartz crystal bowls or
metal bowls, they bring them in,we listen to them, I can help
them add to their sets byfiguring out their tunings and
what they have, and then helpthem move into a direction and
add, And then maybe over time, they move into, having

(44:05):
combinations of then,professional quality.
It's important to have highquality of instruments.
It's not the most importantthing but if we're buying things
for marketing and you don't knowyour bowls may not be what they
are, and they're not going toprovide the healing that you

(44:26):
think that they are if it'sjust, yeah, because if it's not
what they say that they are andwith these what is what you get
it, that, and I also if you weregoing to play in the orchestra,
your, those cellos, they're 20,30, 40, 000, professional level
instruments, a grand pianoversus a piano.
There, we know there aredifferent levels of instruments.

(44:49):
And so as a sound healer.
There are different qualities ofsound and those qualities do
provide deeper and more powerfulhealing.
And also things like binauralbeats and things like that are
they're more profound with ahigher quality of an instrument.

(45:09):
But then the intention as wellis part of it.
But there, there's a difference.
So that's what these are.
These are crystal tones bowls.
And I've got a variety ofdifferent ones here and all
sorts of different notes.
And yeah, so it's reallyexciting to help people on their
journey picking out theirinstruments.

Pam (45:29):
I love that you're doing this.
This is awesome.
Jill, I've had the pleasure ofexperiencing your sound healing
when we meet fairly regularly.
I'm excited for our listeners toexperience just a brief
introduction to your soundhealing.
So I'm going to turn the floorover and let you take it away.

Jill (45:51):
All right.
Okay.
And also you can see I got acouple of gongs over here.

Pam (45:55):
They're beautiful.

Jill (45:56):
Yeah, those are Groda Sonora, so those are from Italy,
and they have amazing gongs.
So I gotta just change the soundhere, because that's gonna be
important as far as,

Pam (46:10):
I'm gonna turn mine off.
Yeah.

Jill (46:15):
And so one of the other things, too, that I like are
these, just these really cutelittle chimes.
I just Invite you to close youreyes, and does everything sound
alright on your end, Pam?
Okay.
Take some deep breaths.

(46:48):
And relax.
Focus on your breath.

(53:20):
So come back now to your breathand to your eyes.
If you're ready, open your eyesand come back.

(53:42):
Just take a couple of minutes tointegrate the healing energies.

Pam (53:59):
Thank you, Jill.
I could feel so much moving andso much happening.
I know that I'm going to becoming back and listening to
that again.
That was wonderful.

Jill (54:12):
I don't know how long that was for, but just a couple of
minutes.
You could you could see how youcan just relax a lot quicker.

Pam (54:21):
Oh my gosh, I was feeling, I was yawning.
I was feeling twitches.
I was feeling energy moving andI may have formed an intention.
There was energy from, that Iwanted to release.
And so thank you so much.
And thank you for sharing allthis with us.
You're

sound healing (54:36):
welcome.
Thanks for having me.

Pam (54:37):
Oh my gosh.
I hope that people who areinterested in sound healing,
maybe have a way forward.
People who are interested inputting together Reiki and
massage or even other modalitiescan see a way forward.
And yeah, thank you so much forbeing here.
Thank you for having me.
It's my pleasure.
And just a note to thelisteners.

(55:00):
We appreciate you.
You are making the world abetter place just as you
continue to raise yourvibration.
It raises the vibration on theplanet.
And Jill, when you were talkingabout words and how many of our
words are connected with soundand frequency, it's all

(55:21):
frequency.
attunement.
Attunement.

Jill (55:27):
Attunement, tuning you up, right?

Pam (55:29):
Yes, I know.
I hope you appreciated the tuneup today as, as much as I did
and just keep shining yourbeautiful bright light in the
world.
Namaste.
