REINVENTED with Hall-of-Fame NFL Quarterback Brett Favre

Down, Set, Hike! One of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time, Brett Favre, comes on the REINVENTED podcast! Not only does Brett embody the theme of reinventing oneself, but his longevity and ability to continuously adapt to the game of football is an inspiring anomaly.

 

Brett Favre played in the NFL for 20 seasons, primarily with the Green Bay Packers. Favre had 321 consecutive starts from 1992 to 2010, including 297 regular season games, the most in league history. He was also the first NFL quarterback to obtain 70 thousand yards, 10 thousand passes, 6 thousand completions, 500 touchdowns, 200 wins, and victories over all 32 teams. But enough about football!

 

On this episode, Jen and Brett discuss how he has managed to overcome adversity in life, losing his father unexpectedly at 56 years old, and how he handled his wife’s breast cancer diagnosis. Brett also gets vulnerable and discusses his long battle with a painkiller addiction to the point where he was taking 16 Vicodin a day at the height of his football career!
