Dr. Lina Haji worked in the American prison system providing psychological forensic assessments. Looking to provide an improved experience for forensic clients in the middle of 2020, she opened her own private clinical forensic practice (Rise Psychological Services) specialising in psychological assessment and therapy in Miami, Florida, USA.
During the recording of this podcast, (the aim to interview guests who reveal how they assist in removing addiction and healing Mental health), Dr Haji's deep passion for helping America's forensic clients to be correctly diagnosed for accurate treatment was extremely clear.
Our interview with Dr Haji is full of shares about our stories and how the systems in both America and Australia fail us.
This episode is empowering for any person who has been a voluntary or involuntary patient of a psychiatric ward and/or incarcerated in the prison system, both in America and Australia.
Additionally, this podcast is an important listen for any person who has someone close to them with problematic substance use or mental health issues.
We hope you benefit from this podcast as much as we enjoyed connecting to make this for you.
Love always,
Mike, Jess and Lina xx

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
