PTSD stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

This week on the show, we take a break from the prison theme we seem to have adopted, (for no particular reason) and welcome Scott from PTSD Brokensword. Here’s what Scott said when I asked what message he would you like to communicate about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

“I think we need to stop the stigma of PTSD and look at how we can help people get through it. Over the years there have not been many people to help people suffering from PTSD and that’s changing and I’m glad that there are people like you helping out”.

If you have a PTSD diagnosis or you have a loved one, take a listen to this weeks show and connect with Scott from PTSD Broken Sword.

Unfortunately, more and more people have a PTSD diagnosis and it is through connection that enables support that we strongly encourage you to seek.

Thank you Scott for sharing your story with Removing Addiction and Healing Mental Health.

⁣Thanks to Executive Producer Jared Aviet and voiceover from Nathan Gardiner.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
