On this jam-packed *guys-only* edition of **Remy’s Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast**, Remy, Mike, and Unk take the mics for an exciting ride through Florida’s theme park scene and beyond: no filters, just three theme park-loving dudes talking shop, updates, food, and nostalgia.

Remy opens the episode with **The Latest Theme Park Updates**, covering everything from big developments at the parks to the latest rumors, including chatter around Cars Land possibly making its way to Florida and the buzz surrounding NBA star Paolo Banchero's brand-new 5-year contract with the Orlando Magic. Then, the crew shares a bittersweet moment as they officially say goodbye to **Rivers of America** at the Magic Kingdom. With the Liberty Belle Riverboat docked for good and Tom Sawyer Island fading into memory, the guys reflect on what made this corner of the park so special and what might be coming next.

In this week’s **Mike’s Munchies**, Mike takes us over to **Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort** where he breaks down a delicious dining experience, highlighting his favorite appetizer, entrée, drink, and dessert from the resort’s vibrant menu. Remy tallies up the total, and the Roundtable gives their official rating, complete with some foodie banter and laughs.

Next up, **Unk shares a travel update**, diving into his recent Disney family vacation. From long lines to magical memories, Unk recounts the highs, the lows, and everything in between, offering great travel tips for any family looking to plan their next Disney getaway.

To wrap things up, Remy launches a brand-new segment called **Ride of the Week**, where he breaks down a classic attraction or show. For this inaugural edition, he takes listeners on a deep dive into **Fantasmic!**—exploring its creation, behind-the-scenes magic, changes over the years, and why this nighttime spectacular still holds a place in the hearts of Disney fans across the globe.

So buckle up for a fun, informative, and nostalgic ride with your favorite Florida theme park podcast crew. It’s *Remy’s Roundtable*—where the magic meets the microphone, and there’s always something new to explore.

tonight is my dangerous Co host for this evening.

(06:59):
We have our travel guide, UNK UNK What's up dude?
How you doing man? I'm.
Doing great. How are you tonight?
I'm doing good man. And you just came back from your
your lovely family vacation fromDisney.
And dude, I want I apologize. We had we didn't have a chance
to meet up with each other, man.It's.
It's OK, it was a whirlwind of atrip, but we got a lot done, had

(07:20):
a great time, did some first with my oldest son riding some
rides and he's never rode before, so it was a great trip.
I did miss meeting you, but it worked out.
I'm here back home in Ohio tonight, still recovering from
the trip. You're you're in, you're in town
for a good what a good amount ofa good week.

(07:41):
Yeah, I was there a week. We did 5 park days.
We did one day at the water parkand we did an off day.
What? Was he?
What was the crowd like, man? The crowds were not nearly what
I expected them. We got, I would say, very lucky.
I would say it was a low crowd time even 4th of July until

(08:03):
about mid to late afternoon the park was like empty we got.
Empty, empty, empty how? Like the let me say, let me just
try to guess here. So you're saying on 4th of July
it was empty and the park was open till what, 11:00 at night
or 12:00 in the morning? Let's say the rides were what,

(08:24):
1515 minutes long? I would say that first half of
the day, yeah, the ride the example Rd.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure, 30 minute wait.
Whoa, a 30 minute wait for Tiana's Bayou adventure at the
Magic Kingdom. Wow, on 4th of July.

(08:45):
That's that's insane for a that's insane for Tiana's Bayou
adventure. And I can't, I can't remember.
I can't remember the last time the Florida theme parks were
that low on the on the times. Because that's dude, that's
crazy. That is crazy.
So I said that to a cast member and they even said that that was

(09:06):
crazy for the wait time. They did warn us that it was
going to get this year because more of the locals were going to
be coming in, which it did. By about 4:00 my mother decided
she wanted to go and save our spot for fireworks and she was

(09:27):
there from 4:00 and I think a fireworks started at like 9
something. And the hub area got very
packed. But they had viewing areas in
Frontier Lands in Tomorrowland as well where they had DJs and
stuff playing and they were directing people there.
But the hub area was completely jam packed by about I would say

(09:50):
six 7:00. So it definitely got crowded on
the floor, but the rest of it, the days it was not super crowd.
Really, it wasn't like it wasn'tcrowded at all.
So that's dude, that's crazy because I was sadly, I was
working on 4th of July, you know, making that holiday pay
money. So and guys coming in right now
to our coming, coming in right now into our studio.

(10:13):
We have our foodie with us. Mike, what's up dude?
How you doing man? I'm doing great and well right
now. I've actually a little bit more
bad kind of upset today with with people online, but but OK,
can I just go on here and say this to anyone who says Jalen
Hurst doesn't deserve to be a top five or top ten QB?

(10:35):
You have no credibility for saying that.
You're just being an Eagle City because that's what all people
are. Jalen Hurst Jalen Hurst is a top
five. He is a top five regardless.
Yeah, no, I don't care. People like want to discredit
him because he's on the Eagle ishonestly, they say like all this
things. Oh, he doesn't deserve all this
place and stuff. You guys like news for us.
Yeah, he might not have the bestdance, but here's The funny

(10:55):
thing we make. There are people who make fun of
people who stat pad because instance, Dak Prescott.
Yeah, he gets a lot of stats. How many times has he made it
past games? Has he won in the playoffs?
And also, what has he done everytime he's made it to the
players? Oh, I don't know.
Oh, right. He's done an interception.
He chokes an interception. OK, the reason why Sharon Hertz

(11:18):
doesn't stat pad is because he'sbet.
He controls the ball. Controls the ball well, taking
up much time. Yes, they're not scoring a lot
of points, but he's keeping the ball work control.
But if you take a look at the Eagles how clock management of
like how long we control the ball, you notice we control it
the majority of time because he knows how to use the time

(11:39):
appropriately to so the doesn't make a comeback as easily.
Mike, I was going to say, so earlier today I was playing
Madden for a little bit and yes,I was doing my my franchise at
the as the Eagles. The team I was going up against
was the Cowboys and final score, final score of the game was 70
to 20. So I'm like, let me go and let

(12:00):
me go and spank the Cowboys ass for a little bit and I I just
spanked them badly. So I'm like, you know what,
screw you, Dax, Dax Prescott, I'm going to go ahead and give
you want to try to guess how many yards I gave Jalen Hertz.
What? Take a guess.
Two. I'm going to say 3.
I keep going, 400. Keep going.
Wait, wait, passing. Go rushing.
Passing. Oh, OK, so passing, you came

(12:21):
from 600 yards. Keep going 7.
Keep going. You did nothing but pass, didn't
you? Pretty much with pretty much
with the Jalen Hurts. OK all, all game.
All game man. Wait.
OK, so if I had to guess. There was there was barely no
running at all when I was playing and when I was playing
while I was playing Madden. If there, if there is, let's see

(12:43):
seven. So the most amount.
So you didn't do any two points, right?
You just went for one? Just went for one.
Just touchdowns and touchdowns and field.
Goals. So that's so that's 10
touchdowns. So that means the most you could
get is 1000 yards, so I'm gonna guess 800.
Yeah, I gave him 1200 yards of passing.
Wait, wait, wait. That doesn't make sense then.

(13:03):
Put it this way, Mike. Wait, did you throw?
Wait, wait, did you throw any interceptions?
None. I threw no interceptions.
None. What about fumbles?
Nope, no fumbles. OK, that doesn't make sense
because this. Is how wait.
Wait. Oh, wait, wait, wait.
This is how well this is how well I've been.
I can control. I can't control the ball with
Jalen Hurts. If I can get if I.
Can give it around. If I can give, If I can give

(13:25):
1000 yards of passing with 200 yards of rushing, that's how.
That's how. That's why, and I repeat, that
is why Jalen Hurst is a top fivequarterback in the NFL.
But wait, wait, that doesn't make.
Oh wait, I'm totally forgetting about the.
I'm totally forgetting about the.
What's it called the extra point?
You know, I love how we're I love how, you know, I just talk

(13:45):
about football and I'm just like, what the are you guys
talking about? OK I totally forgot about the
extra point I was counting. Oh wait, cuz like I was counting
only wait no, no, that still doesn't make sense because
because you can only get 100 yards.
Well, here, Mike, here Mike. I'll tell you what, after after
we're done doing this tonight, jump on my Twitch channel,

(14:07):
you'll see the video. And you were like, Oh my gosh,
because I'm going to show you the game.
I'm going to show you exactly how I'm playing the game.
You'll be like, wow, OK, Remy's got.
Remy is dominating with Jalen Hurd's on the field.
Yeah, I know. No, but it's just like the math
doesn't make sense because a football field is the most you
can get from a touchdown pass is100 yards.

(14:28):
Well, Michael, let's play this one he had.
Well, what does it say? He had a 1200 yards total in
passing. Yeah.
And, and The thing is, is that you said you scored 70.
Yeah, 7070 points to 20. Yeah, that's 10 touchdowns.
Well then I don't. I think my I think my math is
wrong too with the yards then. I think he yeah, he should be

(14:50):
1000. Then.
Somewhere. Because because yeah, cuz 1000 a
10 touchdowns, 100 yards. That's 1000. 1000 yards so.
Yeah, yeah. It shouldn't be 1200.
That doesn't make sense. If it was 84 then it would be.
It'll be yeah, it'll be enough, but jeez.
Or every time. Did you score every time you had
the ball? Yep, every time the ball, man,

(15:11):
every time with with Jalen Hurtsfrom the from the Eagles.
So anyway, anyway, guys, let's I'm actually going to talk to
you guys real quick. This is a little topic that I
kind of want to talk to you guysabout.
Now we all know that Unk, I knowyou went to the Magic Kingdom
and were were you and your family able to ride the Liberty
Bell one last time? We could have, but we decided

(15:33):
not to. We we never really rode it when
when it was open and just didn'thave a risen to ride at this
time. We did see it towards the end of
its time and we saw it going around but didn't want to.
I don't want to say waste time, but waste time doing that when
we had other priority quantity done.

(15:54):
I gotcha. I completely understand you guys
want to do more things at the Magic Kingdom than going on the
the liberty Bell one last time at the Magic Kingdom, which
sadly it did close a couple daysago on July 7th, but we are I'm
actually going to tell you guys what's pretty cool about this
attraction. I'm going to tell you guys how
this this attraction goes into you know, well, you know what

(16:20):
I'm gonna give you guys what's I'm gonna tell you guys what's
happening at the with the Liberty with the Liberty Bell.
How does Disney transport the Liberty Bell riverboat?
Well, the Liberty Bell riverboatlocated in the Magic Kingdom at
Walt Disney World is a large steam powered paddle wheel boat
that operates on a closed loop loop track along the rivers of

(16:41):
America. Unlike some smaller attractions,
the Liberty Bell is our is not easily removed or transported
into one piece due to its size into the park's infrastructure.
When major maintenance is is required, Disney uses a
specialized and carefully coordinated process.
So they actually have a computersystem that tells where to park

(17:03):
the Liberty Bell boat like in, in, in the, in the backstage
area. So like I said, yeah, it's over
by the backstage area, which theLiberty Bell is guided to the
dry, the dry dock area located behind the scenes near the edge
of the Rivers of America. So that little turn when you
guys see the, oh what you call it, Big Thunder Mountain, that's

(17:27):
where they park the Liberty Bellfor maintenance.
This back this backstage facility allows the riverboat to
be lifted partially or fully outof the water for repairs,
inspections or refurbishments. Transfer.
Now it's closing. Well, it's right, dude.
It's right. Been closed.
It's already closed. Yeah, it's closed, but yeah, I

(17:47):
when I love going to top stories, I with that.
I know, sad sad day for that transportation.
Transportation beyond the waterway, such as far for off
site refurbishment. It's extremely rare.
If necessary, the boat would be disassembled into large sections
and carefully transported by a flatbed truck with logistical

(18:08):
coordination, but most maintenance is handled in park.
Disney's engineering and maintenance teams ensure the
vessel is preserved and restoredusing both modern techniques and
traditional craftsmanship to maintain its historical currency
and show quality. And that's kind of like the
little back history on, you know, how, how did Disney remove

(18:30):
that boat for, you know, for refurbishments for for
maintenance work And all I all Ihave to say is that yes, I've
been on this attraction multipletimes.
When I do go visit the Magic Kingdom, it's a great it's a
great attraction. But Sally, it did close on July
7th of this year and. What's replacing it?
Oh well, Mike, you didn't know what's replacing it.

(18:52):
I totally forgot what it was again.
It's a call. It's it's had to do with the
cars, you know? There you go, buddy.
Yeah, we're. Yeah, yeah, that's right.
That's what we're supposed to get.
I, I I kept getting very. I keep getting confused about
which whichever we're getting replaced with which.
Yep. So we're getting Yep.
So Rivers of America, Tom's Rhode Island is getting replaced
by cars, Land and guys, let's goahead and jump right into it.

(19:16):
It is now time for the latest theme park updates.
It's now time for the latest theme park updates.
Today, it's not just theme parks.
We might throw in a little Florida news too.
From thrilling attractions to headline making Sunshine State
stories, we've got it all lined up.

(19:37):
What's the wait time again for this segment?
0 minutes. It's happening right now.
Take it away, Remy. All right guys, so we're
starting out over at the Magic Kingdom Rivers.
Like I said before, Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and
Liberty Square Riverboat have been permanently removed from

(19:59):
the Magic Kingdom map following their confirmed closure, which
like I said before, it did closeon July 7th of this year.
There used to be Steamboat here, with whistles echo and in the
breeze Tom's rafted float. Kids ran with cheer through

(20:21):
caves and crooked trees. The river curved through
frontier land, a slower time of gentle pace now lighting.
McQueen is taking a stand at oldmemories lose their place.
Goodbye, old river, goodbye to the breeze, The hucks, little
Fort in those shady trees. They're draining the past.
They're paving the stream to laydown a road for a radiator

(20:43):
dream. So wave to the Liberty Bell as
she floats no more. That old steamer's heading for a
backstage door. And Tom Sauer's Island will fade
from the map cause cars need roads and the magic God laughs.
No more white picket fences. No more paintbrush quest.

(21:08):
They're bulldozing through our childhood and calling it
progress at its best. A child.
They cry with open arms as the gravel grinds the grass.
But we know this was where the charm of classic Disney used to
last. Goodbye, my old river, Goodbye
to the breeze. Ducks, little farting, those

(21:29):
shady trees, they're draining the past.
They're paving the stream to laydown a road for a radiator dream
to wave to the Liberty Bell as she floats no more.
That old steamer's heading for abackstage door and Tom Sawyer's
island will fade from the map. His cars need roads and the
magic God laugh. Now kids will race through neon

(21:53):
lights instead of forts and caves.
No fishing poles or Lantern nights, no echo off the waves.
The Mark Twain stories, Davy Crockett dreams were worth more
than racing planes. But here comes Mater with a toe
and a grin, saying time to tradethe past in.

(22:15):
Goodbye old river. Farewell to the wood where Tom
and Huck once proudly stood. Liberty Bell gave her last loud
cry. And now it's cars land reaching
for the sky. We'll miss that corner of
American lore where kids found wonder without a storm.
Progress rolls in with asphalt and Chrome, But it sure don't

(22:36):
feel like home. So here's to the river.
May she rest in peace. Your waters made dry, But our
memories won't cease. The Walt Disney World Railroad

(23:04):
has begun operating in shuttle mode, offering limited route
services. The narration has also been
updated to updated to feature Stitch offering a fresh
experience for returning guests.Well, we do have some of some
merch news as well coming from the Magic Kingdom.

(23:25):

There is a, let's see what I gothere.
A new Paint Your own cookies with edible paints are now
available around the park for $20.00.
An interactive treat for families.

(24:10):
So they're talking about this little paint dish that looks
like a little Mickey, but it's edible paint and it's actually a
cookie. And you can also pick this up at
the Magic Kingdom and also over at Epcot as well.
The Contempo Cafe has undergone a menu update, removing 15
items, including themed dessertstied to Disney's Contemporary

(24:33):
Resort. Yeah, Mike.
So it looks like for Mike's munchies, we may need to go to a
Contempo Cafe as a contemporary resort because they got rid of
15 items. Yeah, buddy.
Over over at Epcot, From November 28th through December
30th, Epcot will host the International Festival of the

(24:53):
Holidays, which you guys be ableto go watch candlelight as well.
Presented by Advent Health, guests can enjoy seasonal food,
music, and merchandise inspired by holiday traditions from
around the world. There's a new cinnamon roll with
orange cream cheese. Orange cream cheese icing has
debuted at Kringla Bakery OG Cafe in the Norway Pavilion 4M.

(25:17):
Do you want to guess how much this new cinnamon roll cost?
15 bucks. Not 15 unk.
Do you want to take a guess? Let's go with 19/5.
Yeah, you guys are both wrong. Is 7 dollars $7.00 for this
$7.00 was for this brand new cinnamon roll with orange cream
orange cream cheese icing. So whoo, that sounds good.

(25:38):
The The Donald Duck meet and greet has officially reopened
over by the Mexico Pavilion area.
There is a third series of Mickey World Showcase Pandora
Charms has launched retailing for $100.
Yikes. Spaceship Earth is scheduled for
refurbishment beginning on August 25th, as confirmed by a

(26:00):
newly filed permit, but they didn't classify it on which
permit they are talking about. We just know that Spaceship
Earth will be down on August 25th, so if you guys are out at
Epcot right now during the Food and Wine fest, cool if you guys
go on it before it closes. Over at Disney's Hollywood

to see. Maybe if they do to get another
year they could do it to pay stuff at the fire is you could
do it off of the other one, the fire.
Fire Funhouse 1. Well, I think it might be.

(30:51):
I think it's going to be added in Halloween Horror Nights.

Stayed on the stayed, stayed with the family, right?
Didn't betray them technically or well one of the original 3.
The only other one that never really portrayed them but just
got switched to another. Not play who?
The guy who unfortunately got released again which sucked.

(31:56):
Leopard Stroman. Right, right.
I mean, he's still around, so who knows what?
Who knows what we'll see at. Hopefully he'll come back again

While early in development, thiscould indicate a new era of

(33:25):

project, though details remain under wraps.
Now one of my one of my favoriteactors.
All I have to say is congratulations to him and his
family. Mr. Keith David, acclaimed for
his work in film and video gamesas well, is going to receive a

(33:47):
star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
You guys do know who Keith Davidis, right?
Yes, I know who Keith David is. Mike.
Who is Mike? Who is Keith David in Disney?
Well, actually, he's a lot of people.
He well, actually, actually I remember him from one of my
favorite one of from one film That's an oldie The thing.
I remember him from the thing. OK, that's Marvel.

(34:10):
I'm talking about Disney, buddy.Come on.
No, no, no, no, no. The thing?
Oh, oh, the horror film. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
OK. All right.
But Mike. But Mike, my question was what?
What can you relate Keith David to with Disney?
I tried to remember what he did on Disney.
I really I know he did voice acting but I'm trying to

(34:31):
remember. Alec, you want to take a guess
who what Keith David is related to Disney?
No clue. Doctor Facilier.
Oh, I totally forgot he. Went and and if you guys don't
remember Saturday morning cartoons, gargoyles, he was
Goliath. Yeah, I do remember that, but

(34:51):
yeah, OK, said the thing. How did he come to Marvel?
Well, the thing Fantastic. Fantastic Four.
Yeah, yeah, but I would have said a Fantastic Four, The
Thing. I literally said the movie The
Thing. Well, that's where I got it
from. When you said the Thing, I'm
like, please, are you talking about Marvel?
But then you said the horror, but then you said the horror
film. I'm like, oh, that The Thing?

(35:12):
OK, we are. We're now on right now.
We're on the right track for Keith David as the Thing.
So yeah, OK, he's. Done a lot of stuff.
He's also, if I he did a lot of he did a lot of stuff from RNDP.
Let's see what Oh wow, he's in. Oh right, he's what's he called

(35:32):
one of my favorite series right now.
He's the He's Husk for the Husband Hotel series.
No, that's right. Yeah.
Yeah, they've that he's the new voice of Husk after they
replaced the original 1, which Imean, I kind of like the
original voices. At least they kept some of them
sound just kind of similar. But Husk, I remember, they
really changed him. Oh boy.

(35:54):
All right, so moving, moving on with the the latest theme park
updates and other updates as well.
Well, last last week, Jen and I,we finally went out on a date
and we saw this movie. We saw the brand new the brand
new Lilo and Stitch movie. Well, this movie has surpassed
all projections, becoming the highest grossing Hollywood film

(36:18):
of the year, earning over Mike, how much do you think Lilo
Leland Stitch made at the box office so far?
Billion. How much?
1.5 Bill. Not even close, buddy.
Not even close. 1 billion. Nope, not even close. 750.
Do you want take a guess? I'm going the opposite way.
I'm going 2.5 billion. Well, you guys are both wrong,

(36:40):
$975 million in the box office. So almost a billion.
Almost a billion dollars. Almost a billion dollars.
That's probably going to get surpassed.
It will get surpassed. I mean this movie.
A certain current movie that's doing really well.
How to train your dragon, Yes, yeah, that's yeah, I kind.
Of Hey Disney, Disney takes a Disney takes some notes.

(37:03):
DreamWorks just showed you how to do a good, how to do a
faithful. Mike, come on, don't bash on
Disney right now. What's wrong with you?
No, because they literally, oh, come on, literally, literally.
They've done so many live actionremix and and yet a lot of them
and yet a lot of them aren't that amazing of people getting

(37:23):
pissed at them. And DreamWorks did it in one
attempt, did what they what fanshave been have just been asking
for. Would you Would you see this
movie in a 40X? What?
How to Dragon movie? Yeah, how to train a dragon.
Would you? Would you, would you go see?
Would you see? Would you go see in a 40X where
the other cheat the seats move and you have to wear and you
have to wear a seat belt? Yeah, I would.

(37:44):
That movie is so good. That movie is, and I'm going to
say this for now, I the Red Death in this movie, I think it
might not keep it scarier than it did in the original version.
Mike, don't give it away. I haven't seen it yet.
You know. MM, shut up.
OK. You didn't you watch the
original movie? I watch like I watch all the all

(38:05):
the all the How to train your Dragon movies.
Even did you know the Red Death is?
In I know, I know, but. Yeah, I'm not.
I'm not showing it the design, I'm just saying the Red Death
looks freaking scary as hell. Hopefully that they did a good
job on it too. The.
Movie is great like. Did you see it yet, Mike?
Yes, I have seen him. Well, don't give me much any of

(38:28):
it away, any of it away, man, cuz I still need to go see it.
I want to go see this movie withJen.
This is what the one that moves that we really want to go see it
with each other because she wants to go see it.
I want to go see it. This is a certain move that we
both we need to go see it together.
So are you also gonna go see this movie How to Train Your
Dragon with the kids? I do more movies at home.

(38:52):
I wait for it. Just with the 2 little ones,
it's tough to go to the movies so I kind of wait.
I haven't seen Lilo and Stitch yet either so it's a rare
occurrence to go. To the movie.
I'm gonna tell you right now when you go see Lilo and Stitch,
just bring a box of tissues and order a large box of popcorn,

(39:12):
man, when you get there because, yeah, there were some moments
where Jen and I were like, what?Yeah, what just happened?
Like we're like, oh man. Yeah, yeah, by the way, Yeah,
I'm gonna. Yeah.
I watched both movies and. MM just want, Mike, do you want
to stop right there? And gotta stop right there.
OK, let's stop right there. No, I'm just going to say Dino

(39:34):
and Stitch was also a good movie, but like I said, I'm I
still like I still think how to shoot a track.
It is better currently made now because of wow.
You'll see when you see it. You'll see why there is some
cubits I have with the Dino and Stitch movie.
Yeah. And guys we also have some some

(39:54):

The antagon. The site The Cyborg.
The Cyborg. Long John Silver.
OK, the fact that people aren't set, you know what?
No, whoever made this this is stupid because that I know kids
were traumatized. Well, I think so.
I think some of these movies do did actually.
A couple of them did traumatize me and there was one that made

(44:08):
me just cried. Cried on his.
How in the hell does Cinderella traumatize you?
No. No, no, I'm not.
I'm not saying that. But I know people are
traumatized. There's a I'm not traumatized by
Cinderella. Then why would you say?
Then why would you say Cinderella?
Let's see, pictures goes to sleep forever.
No, there's a triad tracking. That's Sleeping Beauty.
Numb nuts. That's Cinderella.

(44:30):

(44:52):
traumatized and Cinderella, you do forget about the scary.
The stepmother, the step sisters.
Evil clear. That's just a normal, that's a
normal family, you know, gathering.

Yeah, that movie, yeah, that movie did kind of traumatize.
Me literally, I could literally give you.
I could literally give what literally judge for though every
single action he does like lusting.

(47:05):
Like if people didn't traumatizeby how creepy he is, I would say
yeah. Especially the fight when his
death at the end when like all of freaking Notre Dame is
burning. Yeah, if anyone says they
weren't scared by that, I would say they weren't fighted by
that. I was going to say.
Did you know that the the voice actor who did Furlough is also
the same voice actor who did thethe scary psychiatrist in The

(47:29):
Beauty and the Beast? I did not know.

appetizer? So for my appetizer, so the
appetizer says you could guess is is tapas and starters.
So there's a few of them that are pretty good, though I'm

(55:37):
going with the charred octopus with potatoes and chimichurri.
Bro Octopus sounds. Good.
Yes and yes. And like I said, this is Spanish
food, but they have like a few other things there for they have
a lot of different things that people could get there for,
well, essentially for anything. Like they also have gazpacho
there and yeah, a lot of other different things.

(56:01):
You got like a shrimp dish with some herb butter and got a
confused olive oil, some marinated olives that I guess
are heated up, chorizo if you'rewant some more media options.
And yeah. And how much is it and how much
is that? So the charter octopus is
$17.00. $17.00 for that dish. It's charter octopus.

(56:22):
It's Octopus. Well, I get that, but still,
that $17.00 is for a little appetizer for octopus,
chimichurri and whatever. Oh my God.
Potatoes. Potatoes.
Oh. Potato.
Oh, OK. Patatas is how they say potato
in Spanish. Patatas Alright, cool, alright.

for two people called the Chile Chile Tom Bonin rib eye for two.
Can you guess how much that one cost?
50 bucks? No.

(57:04):

Mike is talking about? It's a burden.
Rib eye 75. It's $150.00 guys.
Jesus. Christ.
Wait, how much is it Mike? It's for two people.

(57:24):
It's $115.00 so. Holy.
So yeah. Wow. 5750 It's a bone in rib
eye. Damn, for two people it's a rib
eye, yeah. And and it comes with two house
salads and tomato frito. Yeah, if I get, if I get that
dish, I'm only drinking. I'm only drinking water there.
Yeah, no, yeah, that's what I'm.Saying sorry, I'm only, I'm only

(57:46):
drinking water there. Yeah, I won't even get an
entree. So, All right, so the one I'm
actually going for is a I'm going for a smoke.
I'm going for a marinated, Yeah. And then we go for smoked pork.
Chop. Oh, the pork chop.
Oh, and I'm dude, I make some bomb.
I make some bomb pork chops on ahome.
So it's got a spinach fun, fun tuta secreto, potato valette and

(58:09):
crispy chorizo. And it's $34.
You said $34. Yeah, OK.
Got chorizo, pork chops. Got some.
It's got a lot of stuff. As for my dessert, So.
Do they do they have flan there?Do they have fried ice cream
churros? Going What is I'm going with
what they call the Toledo Tapas Bar, the way you do dessert

(58:32):
tasting the flavors of Spanish coffee, crunchy chocolate rose,
Raspberry mousse and a lemon curd.
Interesting. And it's $12.00.
And it's 12 bucks. And now I so, yeah, so that's
what I'm going to do. Now I'm going to tell you they
also have a substate dish for two where you get the where you
get to choose certain things, where you you get sort of things

(58:53):
and you get to choose where here's what you get, where you
get to choose between different things.
So it's that one is. Can you guess how much that one
is by itself? It's for two people.
It's for two people. Well, you said rib eye was
$107.00, so for this dish I'm gonna say I'm saying even 90
bucks. No.
Are you going by per person or total?

(59:16):
Total for both. No, no.
It's more than that. So.
It's more than it's more than $90.00.
So what? This isn't what dish?
So this is a substitute for dinner for two.
So this is $155. You want to hear what it is?
Wow dude, so. You get to choose between, so
you get to choose between two appetizers, which is Fighter 41

(59:36):
is called the Spaniard, which isactually an appetizer.
You got it there. It's called the Spaniard for
two, where it's a it's your charcuterie and cheese, your
typical charcuterie and cheese dish.
The other one is called the Fighter 4 Pink pink toast or is
for PINXTTOS where you get chilled mushrooms, Escobash,
olive oil, poached tuna with lemon tortilla, espanolas,

(59:58):
Spanish potato omelet and valdeon blue cheese with fig and
honey. That sounds delicious.
That sounds very. Good.
The otree you get to choose between is one that Bonobib I
already talked about before or the other one is a seafood
paella with bomb of ice, seafood, white wine, saffron,
butter, sofritos, scalp foam, and herpes.
No, thank you. I'm sticking with the rib.

(01:00:19):
I'm sticking with the rib eye. And the last one is, well, what
I talked about before the tomatoes, tapas, dessert.
And I'll go, I'll go to your choice for the dessert, which
sounds, sounds. Yeah, that's you got the one
dessert. But yeah, the tears.
Tapas it sounds. It sounds amazing.
Like it sounds really delicious. It sounds so fucking good.
That's that's all I'm gonna say.Like it sounded, it sounds just

(01:00:41):
really fucking good, dude. OK, Mike, so we want to do what
you want to do first. You want to do the rating or do
you want to do the total? Total so the the items that I
said so that would be the chart out to push, which is 17, the
search pork chop, which is 34 atthe top liters tapas bar, which
is 12 and the drink the and my Sangria Tinto, which is 1550.

(01:01:04):
Unk do you want? Do you want to take a guess how
much Mike spent all together on his meal?
6225. Dude, you know, I may you know,
I may have to go to this place. You know, I'm gonna say I'm I'm
not a single guy, but I know some single people out there.
And if you guys are listening, cool.
Thank you so much for listening to this podcast.
But like we do like we do on every single Mike's munchies.

(01:01:27):
This is based on a single reservation.
So Mike, I'm, I'm sorry, unk, but your price is a little too
high. What Mike Your grand total for
Toledo is $100. OK, you're screwed.
Of course you screwed with the. I didn't, I did not screw around
with it. Dude, that's a that's a total.

(01:01:48):
You're totally 100 bucks tip taxand tip buddy.
OK, that's, I mean, yeah, that'sa lot of money.
But like I said it now, like I said, as I keep saying in each
video, I'm not probably orderingall of that.
And that's if I did, I would have leftovers for the next
night. What's wrong with that?
There's nothing wrong with that.Yeah, I know, I know.
I'm just saying most likely if I'm ordering for one night I

(01:02:10):
would I might get a drink or butI would most likely unless I'm
with people I would probably either only get an entree and a
dessert or an entree and a nap. Remember, remember, you said
earlier that they had a seafood dish?
Look what I'm having for dinner tonight.
Sorry. Holding.
Sorry. Hold on.
Yeah, I'll blow this out. Looks like a seafood dish.
Yep, Jen made some grouper. Oh, with the teriyaki kind of

(01:02:31):
sauce. And dude, this is it's flaky and
it's delicious. Jen did a Jen did a freaking
amazing job on this on his dish. And I'm really, I'm really proud
of her on this. Cooking is such a really good.
Juice. Oh yeah, that sounds good.
Oh, by the way, I should say to people who think who are
probably asking because I know about this, asking why when I

(01:02:52):
was talking about this stuff like span or asking about the
burrito, asking why I didn't order burrito or any of that
stuff. Guys, there's a difference
between Spanish food and Mexicanschool.
Mexican food. Yeah, Spanish food is made in
Spain, a completely different country on a completely
different continent from Mexico.Yep, you're right.
Yeah, you're right. I.

(01:03:12):
Have to say, I have to say that because I literally went to
Spain and the first thing I heard from one of the tourists
there was where's the where's the Taco place?
Yeah, that's a, that's a just, I'm sorry, but that's a slop.
That's a slop across the face right there.
Just. And I literally was going like
are you kidding me? Do you not know the difference?
Do you think all Spanish speaking countries have the same

(01:03:34):
food? Nope, but they know.
But. Pretty different, but.
But they do know, but they do know how to make some delicious
food. So alright Mike, so we're going
to do a rating. If I had to choose this this
spot for dinner, I I give it, I give it a 4.5. 4.5 here this is
a really good place too. It's honestly one of the a lot
of I'm going to say this right now it's when it comes to the

(01:03:56):
hotel stuff, all the hotel, the resorts areas does not mean it's
hard to find a bad restaurant inthem.
You can find bad restaurants in the parks because they're themed
and they could definitely overpriced stuff.
But I've eaten at multiple Disney resorts both here and
even technically there were I know that they're technically
some that are crossed by this Disney resorts in in the at

(01:04:19):
Disneyland. I've never had really a bad meal
at any of them except for OK I. The only one I really would say
I had a bad meal at is the All Star resort when I went there
for high school for high school field trip.
That's just that's just cheap food and.
Yeah, that's that's that's just cheap food.
But if I which is yeah, it was, but that's like the low that's

(01:04:41):
like the worst hotels. But when you go to the yeah, the
All Star, yeah, the sports thereare the are the All Star resort
ones, like the music one, the sports 1.
The there's one staying and not. They're meant to be cheap and
you don't really get good food. But every other resort when I'm
staying in my family, the dolphin, the swan, Coronado,
Grand Floridian, temporary Polynesian, the Boardwalk one.

(01:05:06):
Like I said, all all the animal Kingdom wilderness.
Jambo Jambo Kidani. Like any of those resorts you're
going to, it's going to be very hard to find a a rest.
It's going to be very hard to find a restaurant there that's
actually bad. You're most likely going to
find, really. Good.
That's why I want to go back to Jambo.
If we get if we got we got all together like if you and UNK

(01:05:29):
came came at the right time, allof us would go to Boma and go to
that go to that restaurant. Yeah.
So I. Definitely want to.
I want to do some tequila shot. I definitely want to do some
tequila. Shot Yeah.
All right, Mike. So all right, so I give it a
4.5. Mike, what do you give it?
4.5 I said, all right, four point.
Four point 5 uncle about you. Have you even here unk?
I have not even here. It sounds delicious.

(01:05:51):
I'm going to give it a 4.54 point. 54.5 of Chrysler.
There we go, 4.5 across the board.
There you go. All right, Mike, so I give you,
I give you suggestion because I told you earlier that this, this
place, this little cafe got rid of, got rid of 15 items.
So how about the next time we dothe Round table?
How about the Contempo Cafe? Contemporary cafe?

(01:06:14):
Yeah, I can definitely do that one.
So contemporary. Yeah, Contemporary Disney.
Which? Why not?
We're just, why not? We'll just go back.
We'll go back to the contemporary, the contemporary
resort. Now that was an amazing meal.
Which restaurant should we head to next?
You can send in your suggestionsat remysroundtable@gmail.com.
We'll be right back with more ofRemy's Roundtable, the Florida

(01:06:36):
Theme Park Podcast. And guys that and guys that
would that will do it for Mike'smunchies and guys I know Unk
just came back from his trip. So guys, let's go ahead and jump
right in into it. It is now time for, you know, a
travel update with UNK. Want to plan out your very own
theme park vacation? Curry is going to spend money

(01:06:57):
wisely, and that's stupid. While visiting your favorite
parks? Well, you've come to the right
place. We call this segment Travel
Updates with UNK. Take it away, UNK.
All right, so I'm going to starttoday with a little sticking
with the food. I wanted to talk about my meal.

(01:07:20):
Mike is here tonight with us, soI want to be able to bounce
things off of Mike as well. I did some dining that I haven't
done in years and I had really good experiences everywhere and
one that I would say the only reason I would ever go back is
for one of their diving package.I started off.

(01:07:42):
First night was at 1900 Park Fair.
Went there for dinner at the Graham Floridian, and that was
amazing. Yeah, the food was out of this
world. I haven't been there probably in
10 to 15 years. And before I didn't like the
food. Now it was amazing.
And I had the some of the best character interactions with face

(01:08:06):
characters that I've had in 30 years.
The one when we met Maribel, shewas amazing with my oldest son.
Like she was letting him feel her different parts of her
dresses that had different textures because he's really
into textures and was just very good with him.

(01:08:27):
So that was amazing experience. The next day we did my least
favorite restaurant that we ate at, which was Hollywood and
Bond. And this is the one I would only
go back to because of the Fantasmic Dining pack.
The food was meth at best. Which?

(01:08:49):
One was this. Hollywood and Vine because it's,
I mean it is a seasonal, you know, restaurant during the time
because it literally says on thebuffet seasonal items.
Yes. So I was not overly impressed
with it. The saving grace of it was our
server. He was amazing.

(01:09:10):
At one point my youngest was waking up from a nap as we were
coming in and didn't want to wake up very well.
And one of his favorite foods isgrapes.
And they didn't have grapes on the actual bar that day, but he
brought us back a whole giant bowl of grapes when we asked him
if he could get it for him. Oh man.

(01:09:33):
So he was a great server. The fantastic dining package.
Well worth it. Right now it's only offered at 3
restaurants because they got ridof Mama Melrose's.
So the three spots you can get it is Hollywood and Vine, sci-fi
and Brown Derby. And being on the meal plan as my

(01:09:53):
family does when we go Hollywoodand Vine is a 2 credits option.
So you have to spend 2 dining credits to go there.
We we've done that in the past and the food's good there, but
two dining credits, it's hard tojustify going there.
So we may try sci-fi in the future.
But the fantastic dining package, having those reserve

(01:10:16):
seats and not having to sit in that theater an extra hour is
worth. Don't you think, don't you
think, don't you think that's a little too much for, you know,
the dining credits to spend 2 for that, for that package deal?
Well, it's only two if you go tobronzer.
It's one if you go to sci-fi or Hollywood and Vine.
OK. That's OK.

(01:10:37):
That's reasonable. OK.
That's why we avoid the Hollywood bronzer.
We've ate there in the past but not worth 2 credits to go there
in my. Then we did.
Our next day was 4th of July andwe ate at Crystal Palace for
dinner and Crystal Palace is ourmy family's favorite restaurant

(01:11:00):
to go to. Lots of great memories there.
So it's one that we go to at least once every trip.
We actually went there twice this year.
That's the one. That's the one with the Winnie
the Pooh, right? Yes.
OK, good. So they have Winnie the Pooh
meets everybody at their planner.

(01:11:22):
Now he doesn't come around Tigger your and Piglets still
come around to the tables. So it was only three characters
coming to the table, which made it a little bit easier than
having to try to plan out going to the buffet.
This was very good food and on top of that the server was

(01:11:43):
amazing, giving us tips, giving us suggestions not only about
the food but about the park. With it being the 4th of July,
he was the one that told us thatthe crowds are coming, that it
was still early in the day and most of the crowds was going to
be annual pass and locals comingfor the fireworks, which he was

(01:12:05):
correct. And that is why I checked on the
My Disney Experience tab and seeif I was going to grab a, you
know, a reservation for my annual pass.
Nope, it was capacity. I'm like, what the I'm like,
wow, Magic Kingdom, just like, just like it was at I was, I was
at my resort getting my, my bagsand I, I just looked on it just

(01:12:28):
for, just for the hell of it. And it was, I checked it out at
it was 7:00 and I was trying to see if I can get a reservation
for Magic Kingdom. Nope.
Like no, it was blocked out. I'm like wow.
So Magic Kingdom hit capacity on4th of July.
Yeah, it's it. Then we ate at Chef Mickey's on

(01:12:49):
the 5th. We did brunch there and very
good meal. They had all the typical
breakfast food, but they also had like beignets or yeah,
beignets, and they were really good.
So I was very happy with that meal.
We ate at We ate at Backyard BBQat Hollywood Studios.

(01:13:12):
Oh. Cool, that is probably becoming
one of my family's favorite restaurants behind Crystal
Palace. Their food there is amazing,
family style. Really, really good food.
Really, really good drinks. That's one of those drinks that
I remember. I had the adult PB and J drink

(01:13:35):
and it was so good. And then we finished our last
day in the parks with a early morning before the park opens
reservation at Crystal Palace for breakfast.
And all I need to say is churro Mickey waffles.
Those things were covered in whatever they used to make

(01:13:57):
churros. It was just a regular Mickey
waffle covered in that. But boy, were they amazing.
Yeah, apparently somebody on theround table told told me the
next time we hang out at Disney,he is going to buy me breakfast
at the Crystal Palace and try these these Churro waffles.
So Mike won't be. Disappointed.
Mike, you very keep your word, man, because I want those.

(01:14:18):
I want those, man. I want to try those.
I would, yeah. You got to, definitely.
You got to try them out. It's not just a churro waffle.
It's just a lot of great stuff there.
There's a ton of great stuff there.
Trust me. For breakfast, I like it.
I like the breakfast there a toncompared to the dinner.
Just lunch and dinner. Right, I skipped one meal.
I knew there was something I wasmissing.

(01:14:40):
Oh. I skipped Epcot and we ate at
Tapanito. OH.
Cool. The hibachi style restaurant.
The only thing downside to Tepenido with the meal plan.
Everywhere else you got both an alcoholic turn and a like soda
or tea or something. Tepenido you have to choose

(01:15:03):
between either giving a refillable soda or a alcoholic
turn. Well that sucks.
I think it's because I don't believe Tepenido is owned by
just. Tablet.
I think Tablet is a third party event, third party company.
And that would be, that's what Ithat's why.
And that's why it was one or theother.

(01:15:25):
Because it's the it's the same, it's the same thing over at the
Saint Angel in for their dining plan as well.
It's the same same process. You can choose, you know, either
alcohol or a soda at their location.
Everywhere else, even for breakfast, they have breakfast
drinks available and we, my family aren't.
We're not big drinkers, but whenit's included in in our meal

(01:15:49):
plan and we were able to get both, we're doing it take it.
So it was all very good. And I give all but Hollywood and
Vine very, very high reviews. Again, Hollywood and Vine for
it's a good character spot. It's good with the Fantasmic
dining package. I just feel like there's better

(01:16:10):
meals in Hollywood studios. So the main the main question is
when will you be back? My guess is more than likely it
won't be until next summer, right?
We only can really come down once a year and it's usually
early June. This year we had to push it back
to July because of my brother's wedding, but unless something

(01:16:34):
crazy happens, it'll probably benext year that I would be back
down in the is magic. But I love it and I follow all
the updates going on my travel level tip for people that are
planning different vacations is take time to research and use

(01:16:57):
somebody like myself that is knowledgeable on travel.
If you go with a good travel agent, you're not paying extra
for them. So I don't charge anybody
anything. So please look into travel
agents, whether it's myself or somebody you know personally,
because if they are a reputable travel agent, they're not going

(01:17:20):
to charge you for your their services.
And it takes a lot of the stressout of planning a trip.
I was able to plan my brother's honeymoon for him.
So that was one last thing off of his mind while he was
planning a wedding to do and youwere talking about doing extras.
He did the safari where they gotto eat dinner on the Kilimanjaro

(01:17:47):
Safaris. See, and that's one thing I want
to do that is all my bucket listof things to do at at Disney's
Animal Kingdom is do have dinnerout there, drink the wine on the
Savannah and see all the animalsroaming, roaming around.
And I think that'll be a really cool experience to check out if
you guys are back at the Disney's Animal Kingdom.
When are you going to come down to New Jersey?

(01:18:07):
Haven't decided yet buddy. Haven't decided yet, but.
Possibly cut this year. Yeah, maybe.
But anyway, guys, before we headout, apparently this is a big,
big, big, you know segment and you guys like it apparently.

(01:22:01):
This is Ride of the Week only onRemy's Roundtable, the Florida
theme park podcast. So since UNK you were out, you
were on vacation, you went to, you went to Hollywood Studios.
Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite theme parks here in
Florida. We're actually not, we're
actually not going to talk abouta, a ride at Hollywood Studios.

(01:22:22):
We're going to talk about a show.
What do you guys, would you guyslike to take a guess on what
show we are going to be talking about on ride of the week?
I'll give you a hint. I was in the, I was in the
recording studio of the show. Wait, is it an animal Kingdom?
Mike, I just says at Hollywood Studios.
Oh yeah, my bad is. It is it new?

(01:22:43):
It's old, it's old it it opened back in 1998.
I. Totally forgetting what shows
are there. Beauty and the.
Beast, It is not Beauty and the Beast.
Let's just say that this show isat 2 locations, one in
Disneyland, one in Hollywood Studios.
Fantasmic. It is Fantasmic.
We are talking, We are talking about Fantasmic.

(01:23:05):
In the heart of Hollywood, beneath the star skies, a
sorcerer's apprentice closes, dreaming night.
A spark of magic, a flash of light, and Fantasmic was born. 1
Summer night. The year was 98.

(01:23:26):
The curtain rose. Mickey faced the darkness as the
river flowed With fireworks bursting and music grand.
He took us all to a fantasy land.
A mountain stood on the water stage where dreams would fight
When villains raged, the crowds could still in breath the saw as
Mickey's mind to fight all imagination set it free.

(01:23:48):
A journey through what dreams can be with heroes both and
shadows deep and dragon fire that makes you leap from
Mickey's mind. The vision so you'll never see
the world the same. No more fantastic lights, the
sky so wide with magic only Disney could provide.

(01:24:12):
Started out in Disneyland back in 92 the magic land.
But Florida wanted its own spark, a nighttime show to light
the dark imaginers with brilliant grace to transform
that Hollywood studio space. The Hollywood Hills at the
theater ropes to tell a story everyone knows, from Pocahontas
sleeping on the shore to Steamboat really waving once

(01:24:34):
more with Princess gliding villains that scream Fantasmic
became the park's dream. Night after night, the lights
would dance with water screens and romance, laser beams and
flames of flu. A dragon roared the crowd.
All New Mickey's heart could conquer all with just a spark
and a fireball. Imagination, wound and true.

(01:24:59):
With every scene, the magic group, the evil queen, the
mirror spell, Maleficent rose straight out.
I know, but Mickey stood with sparks in hand, Proving dreams
can always stand. Fantastic cliffs where wishes
shine. A timeless tale that's still a
line. Years rolled by, the show

(01:25:25):
evolved with every twist new magic saw.
When COVID came, the lights wentdim, but hope still burned
inside of him. In 2022, it made his return with
Moana's ocean and Nelson's ice burn.
Show refreshed, reworked for fun, but kept the heart of
Mickey's mind. New tech, new stunts, new story
beats, and still the crowd jumped from their seats.

(01:25:46):
The battle between good and darkstill ends with Mickey's famous
spots ark imagination, pure and bright, A Symphony of sound and
light where stories rise from water and flame, and Mickey's
dream still takes its name. Fantasmic lives in every cheer,
a Disney memory we hold dear, And as long as we dream, it

(01:26:07):
shines anew. The phantasmic magic lives in
you. Some imagination, huh?
When the stars come out tonight and the breeze feels just right,
take your seat and you will findyou're stepping inside Mickey's
mind. Fantasmic glows in every soul

(01:26:29):
where magic, dreams and music roll from 98 to now it grows.
The greatest show the park stillknows, Fan says.
Make. Forever flow.
Like I Said, first premiered at Disneyland in 1992, but it made

(01:26:52):
its Grand Florida debut on October 15th, 1998 at Disney at
Disney's MGM Studios. MGM Studios.
I'm saying it because it happened at it.
At MGM Studios. It was designed as a nighttime
show unlike any other, combiningfireworks, live performers,

(01:27:12):
pyrotechnics, water projections, lasers, and some of the most
iconic characters in Disney history, all led by our
fearless, fearless dreamer Sorcerer Mickey.
The show. The show takes place in in a
dedicated amphitheater located off of Sunset Bull seating over

(01:27:33):
7000 guests with standing was with a standing room of 3000
more so guys, that's a lot that's a lot of seating seating
area Fantasmic that's a grand told us what 11,000 seats 11,011
thousand seats at Fantasmic. The scale alone make makes it

(01:27:54):
one of the largest productions in the park and it's the only
nighttime show at Walt Disney World that features such such a
dynamic mix of live action stunts, fire effects, water
magic and projection mapping. So we're so we got a little the
little background on fantasmic. So now we are we are going to go
into the imagineering details. Fantasmic is a tentacle marvel.

(01:28:18):
The lagoon where the show takes place holds over you guys want
to tell you guys how many gallons of water that that
theater holds in the lagoon area?
That's a lot of gallons too. It's a lot of gallons.
I'm. Thinking is it over 1000?
It's over 1000. Wow, is it?
Close to 10,000. Higher.

(01:28:38):
OK, so it's deeper than I'm thinking.
Very deep, Very deep unk. If he's, what did he say?
He's awesome. So, so UNK said 10,000 gallons
of water at Fantasmic 100,000 Well guys, 2,000,000 gallons of
water. Wow.
Yeah, two million 2,000,000 gallons of water and the perform

(01:29:02):
the performance features mist screens that act as projection
surfaces for animated scenes. The mountain centerpiece Mount
Fantasmic stands at 57 feet tall, so there's a couple more
inches above Tower of Terror andand house.
And it has houses, elevators andstage lifts for characters to

(01:29:25):
make dramatic entrances, including the Terrify the
terrifying fire breathing Maleficent dragon.
Now Speaking of Maleficent, she transforms from human human from
from human form to her dragon form right in front of your eyes
thanks to a 40 foot tall animatronic beast that breathes

(01:29:48):
real fire over the lagoon, igniting the water below in a
spectacular climax. The soundtrack.
Now try this out guys. So the music they guys hear a
fantasmic was all recorded here in Florida.
The one the one fantasmic show in Disneyland, that music was
actually recorded in California. The sound, the soundtrack was

(01:30:12):
recorded with a 90 piece orchestra bringing ground
cinematic power to every beat ofthe show.
And I told you guys this a bunchof times on the podcast.
I was fortunate enough to go into the Disney Studios here in
Florida to see the live recording of Fantasmic.
Pretty cool experience on my on my behalf.

(01:30:32):
Sorcerer Mickey's final appearance at the top of the
mountain uses a hidden lift thatrises him 40 feet in the air. 40
feet. It launches Mickey 40 feet in
the air. Over over 50 live performers
take part take part in every show, including stunt stunt

(01:30:53):
actors, dancers and beloved characters, characters from
Aladdin, Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Pocahontas and more.
Which, you know, they got rid ofPocahontas, so that's gone.
They met Pocahontas is still in it yes OK all right the massive
dragon animatronic used in the Walt Disney World version is

(01:31:15):
lovingly called Murphy 2 point Oby the fans A a nod to it's more
problematic California animatronic.
All right so we got now we have some really cool guest reviews.
Now I'll pull these up from somecool Disney websites talking
about fantasmic. The one thing that these guys

(01:31:36):
are saying that the guests rave about Fantasmic as a must do
nighttime experience, often calling it the best way to end
the day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Some describe it as a Broadway show under the stars while
others get teary eyed watching Mickey battle his fears and
bringing his dreams to life. Unk did you cry at Fantasmic?

(01:32:00):
Not this year, but I have. Mike, did you cry a fantasmic?
Don't think so, but I don't think so.
But I did like. I do like the show.
I cried because of the music. So there, there we go.
Let's see what else they have here.
Families. Families love the spectacle,
couples find it romantic and solo visitors say it captures

(01:32:22):
everything Disney stands for. Imagination, courage, and a
little magic. All right, so you know, for my
personal rating, Fantasmic easily scores a 10 out of 10.
Is the ultimate Disney send off.Between the booming soundtrack,
jaw-dropping effects, and the emotional arc of Mickey's
discovering his own power, this show is pure magic from from

(01:32:45):
start to finish. While the seating process can be
long in the weight, in the weight intense, the payoff is
100% worth it. What do you guys think, Mike?
What is your review? Your personal rating on
Fantasmic. Yeah, work probably should be
one of the best shows out there.10 out of 10.
I honestly get it's just a greatshow.
It's amazing. I find it a ton of fun,

(01:33:07):
especially I love how they make the E of our things.
It feels like like the one day where they make the bigger
thread initially who appears on screen, especially at the Disney
World one is the evil the evil queen from Snow White, making
her to be the bigger threat eventhough it's like technically I
mean you have Turner Bog and and.

(01:33:29):
You also and you also have the big snake from Aladdin too, so.
Yeah. Well, yeah, Jafar, yeah, but I
don't think Jafar's are strongeras the sorcerer as say, as
Maleficent is. Right.
OK, can I just? Yeah, go ahead, Mike.
We're going to say man. Can I just say that possibly the
scariest? If I had to choose one, I would
say that the. When it comes to who's the

(01:33:50):
scariest, which? Disney character.
In regards to Maleficent, can I say that I think that Maleficent
is scarier in in Kingdom Hearts than he than she?
Is Oh come on dude. No, she's more scary than
Kingdom Hearts than she is in her movie in the sleeper beauty

(01:34:11):
movie. OK, All right, we're gonna move
on. UNK.
What's your what's your personalWhat's your personal rating on
Fantasmic? Another 10 hands down.
Shout out to Ariel for having the most dangerous job on that
show. If you've done.
If you look at any background history, when Steamboat Willie

(01:34:34):
is driving the Steamboat around,Ariel is sitting on a stone in
the back. Because of that and because she
can't quickly walk with a tail, they have to put a fireproof
blanket over her as the boat goes off scene because of the

(01:34:54):
fireworks that happened as it's pulling off scene.
Shout out to Ariel for having the most dangerous job in the
show. I saw it twice while I was there
this past trip. It's usually one of those
nighttime shows that we try to see as many times as possible.
The first time, the first night we saw what we saw.

(01:35:17):
I would say an abridged version a little bit because it was wet
so they couldn't do all the stunts, but shout out for them
still giving a great show. I'd still give it a 10 out of 10
even without all the stunts. The second time we saw it, we
saw the full version and the updates that they've done to

(01:35:39):
make it have more characters involved in the show is a great
improvement. Bringing in some of the newer
movies like Moana and Frozen, but adding also things like the
Aladdin portion. I feel like that really brought
about full circle a lot of Disney movies.

(01:35:59):
And Justine Sorcerer Mickey up at the top of that mountain is
amazing. It's also the only spot on at
Disney World you can see Steamboat wallet.
That's right, you can. And guys, we do have some.
We do. We do have some final thoughts
about Fantasmic. And that is, Fantasmic isn't
just a show, it's a dream sequence come to life.

(01:36:19):
It's where heroes rises, villains fall, and the power of
imagination takes center stage. Whether you've seen it once or
20 times, there's always something new to appreciate.
Imagination. Dream of a fantastic dream.
That's what Fantasmic delivers and more so TuneIn next week as
