America, America, there we go. America, America, there you go.
Right, the high speed hottie is here.
Let's celebrate. Oh, you got a new?
That's a new one, yeah. I like that catch phrases are
good. So.

(05:42):
So yeah, you, if you if you don't win trivia and you don't
get it right, you've got severalpeople to choose from here today
to help you out. It could be Amber Nova.
It could be Angelique Angel. We got Carlos and Ryan can help

upon first first? Calling from the city of
Orlando, we got Remy. Remy.
What's up Russ, How you guys doing?
Hey, Remy. Remy, how you doing?

(06:03):
Good. How you guys doing?
Good. Are you on your way to work?
I must be getting getting ready for work.
Getting ready for work. All right, Well, it'll be great
to win a prize. You know, right before work, you
can take whatever prize you want, and then you can plug and
promote whatever is important toyou.
If you don't get it right, don'tworry.
You can have one of the monstershelp you out.
It could be Angelique or Angel. It could Amber, Nova, Ryan or

(06:26):
Carl okay. Sounds good.
All right, next year the term action figure will turn 60 years
old. Action figure was first coined
in 1964 to market a male figure to boys who refused to play with
anything. Called a doll name the first
action figure. Daunting, Daunting came to my

(06:46):
mind as GI Joe of. Course it's GI Joe.
I thought that would be a swerve.
I thought. I thought that would seem too
easy. It did seem too easy.
And. You know what, I, I, I saw that
this morning and I actually still have my very first GI Joe
on the line who won in trivia and he got it all by himself.
That wasn't easy. I guess that wasn't easy.

(07:07):
I thought it would be so easy that maybe someone would guess,
I don't know, like Superman dollor something like that.
But no, GI Joe was the very first action figure.
Remy, you got it right buddy, right off the top of your head.
Congratulations. What are you going to work right
now? Yeah, I'm actually, yeah, I'm
actually getting ready for work at the at the moment.
What do you do? You mind saying what you do for
a living? Yeah, I'm actually, I'm one of

(07:28):
the supervisors over at Icon Park, over on a international
drive. Oh, nice.
Very good. Which ride?
Mountain Toussauds and Sea Life aquarium.
Oh dude. I love Madame.
Madame Trousseau, do you say? Is that it?
It's two sides, yeah. Two sides, yeah.
And I met the one of the gentleman that runs it over

(07:49):
there a while ago, and they gaveme a tour with my family.
It was so freaking cool. I was not.
Thinking yeah. Yeah, that wax figures were
going to be Speaking of figures and was going to be so cool.
But man, when you're staring face to face with Abraham
Lincoln, he's like, he's right there, man.
It's like he's right freaking there and.
When they did, when they gave methe tour, the guy said they they

(08:10):
make sure they're the same height, the same size.
So you're standing next to him like, OK, this is.
I would hope so, Russ, like I I would hope they wouldn't go like
you made Abraham Lincoln like six term, you know, like screw
it, making us tall, you know, regular center now, Remy.
Don't don't they? Don't they make the measurements
like exactly the same size as the real human?
They try to, you know, it's likeif you're like looking face to

(08:32):
face to the Rock, he has to, youknow, get all of his dimensions
and everything, his height and everything.
I'll get his baldness, his tattoos, everything that has to
match with the Rock. Yeah.
Did you see, obviously you saw the news where it wasn't your
organization, but another company made a, a, a, you know,
they did the rock and the skin tone wasn't right, so they'd go

(08:52):
back in and and darken it a little bit.
Did you see that? I did.
Yeah, I did see that. Yeah, yeah.
They actually hired Airbrush Pete to do it.
They just went in with a nice mocha.
He's like, done, son. Yeah.
So Remy, what would you like to the plug and promote and tell us
about? So I would actually like to
promote my podcasting program. We just celebrated 4 years of

(09:15):
doing it. We've been doing it for for four
years and I'm actually happy about it, Yeah.
You tricked me to be on it one time in a BBQ restaurant.
I'm so mad at you. Yeah, I'm sorry, Ryan.
What's the name of it? It's called Remy's Roundtable,
the Florida theme park podcast. OK.
And you've been doing it for four years?
Yeah. Have you run out of theme parks

(09:37):
to talk about? Nope, because Disney Universal
is always talking about stuff soI have to cover it.
Remy, what happened at Universalyesterday, do you know?
So lots of technical issues werehappening.
You know, there's a power outageover by the mummy area.
That's where like most of their power supply was coming from.
The whole thing shut down. So that shuts down all the rides
in the park shuts. Down.
Damn. Well, I was, I was like, what

(09:58):
happened? I was like, there's no way
there's not Russian hackers involved in this.
So all the rides at Universal shut down October 4 yesterday.
Wow, like. All day long before.
Yeah, yeah, man, that's sad. When you go to the park and all
the rides are shut, you know it's got to go eat.
So Universal, so Universal is like, hey guys, don't, don't
come to Universal Studios just yet.
Just head on over to Islands of Adventure.

(10:19):
Once the guests were walking over to Islands of Adventure.
Islands of Adventure hit capacity yesterday.
Wow. Well, that hasn't happened in a
while, Remy. Where do you get all your your
your kind of inside info and allthe sneaky stuff?
Because I mean, there's entire YouTube channels that make very
successful careers and podcasts that do this.
Where you guys finding finding your stuff?
Is it Facebook groups? Is it?

(10:40):
Is it you have a in with park employees?
Let's just say that I used to work with a lot of buddies back
at the theme parks. So they kind of tell me what's
happening, what's not happening, you know, and I kind of go off
their point of view. But then I also talked to my
other buddies who actually, you know, work behind the scenes at
Universal and in a way. Remy, did you watch the Bob Iger

(11:00):
disclosure, the business disclosure on what they're doing
and the immense expansion that'shappening at Magic Kingdom and
abroad? Yeah, yeah, it's exciting.
It's exciting to see, you know, as a theme park fan, to see
basically epic coming into town for Universal is a huge, massive
deal. It's gonna like shift the
landscape of theme parks or moreto Universal side, like for a

(11:23):
for a small time. Wow.
Because they really have now quartered off this.
Whole area where? They can dominate and Disney's
not going to build a new park, but they're going to expand
Magic Kingdom into this whole other area and and a bunch of
other stuff. So the competitiveness and
they're making money. So it's like the theme park
industry is actually super healthy.
Hey Whitney, so how are you doing a podcast about theme

(11:45):
parks and stuff like that? How many in a month?
How many times do you go to a theme park?
I try, I try to go. We usually all my days off from
work. So it's it's my day off.
I usually just go out there for a few hours, walk around
Universal and then try to hop over to Disney area, see what's
over at Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom, all the same parks over
there and see what kind of content I can pick up over at

(12:05):
those, over at those theme parks.
Make sure they're like, OK, I knew that was going to happen.
I knew that was going to happen. So make sure everything, make
sure everything is legit, you know?
Yeah, I watch all those theme park like, you know, channels
and they talked about the, I haven't been to Universal in
years, but I saw they expanded that whole like a minion area
and like kind of a dream works area.
Yeah, yeah. So what's the best coaster in

(12:27):
Orlando? Velocicoaster.
I was waiting which ones are. The Velocicoaster.
So good. Where is it in universal?
In Universal. No, it's islands adventure.
I mean islands adventure, you'reright.
So ribby if you had to, if you had to rate the theme park, like
top five in Orlando, right? What What are your What are your
top five? I'm putting you, I'm putting
universal #1. Oh wow, that's a hot.

(12:49):
Take and then I'll put I'll playHollywood Studios at #2 which
Disney, Magic Kingdom at #3, Epcot and #4 and SeaWorld.
SeaWorld is dead last at #5. Oh damn, yeah I was hoping you'd
say Gator Gatorland at some point, but where do you put
Gatorland? It'll be in the between 3:00 and
4:00, so 3.5. Yeah, I mean, it's it's almost

(13:12):
not fair to put it in the category of like, you know, the
the coasters and stuff. It's almost like I would put it
next to. Either way, good for you, Remy.
Hey, man, I remember when you first started doing this, man,
and you sound so much better. You can hear this is a testament
to why you got to to do 4 years of podcast.
The way you sounded in the firstpodcast.
I believe I was like one of yourfirst guests on your shows and,
and how you yeah, no, it's but you know what?

(13:34):
You stuck with it. It's obviously your passion
podcasts or niche and you sound really good, dude.
So props to you man. Thank you so much, Carlos.
Thank you, man. Hey, Remy.
Is Remy short for something? Is it no.
No, I do. I get, I get that all the time.
And they're like, is there Remy coming?
No, no, it's not. It's Remy.
I mean my parents, my parents name, name me after a Dennis

(13:54):
Quaid movie called The Big Easy.So it's our Dennis Quaid.
Whatever your parents named you after a good.
Kanye, Yeah. Remy Martin, baby.
That's how. You were made on a hot Sunday.
I only associate it with a Louisiana name, so like biggies.
That makes sense because the only Remy I know is Remy LeBeau.
Who's Gambit in the X-Men? I do remember the big easy.

(14:16):
I can't remember the the character Remy though, so that's
they named me after that character.
Yeah, Remy, Remy, he was a detective in that movie.
That's. Control name.
That's not that's not bad. Remy, let me ask you this second
follow up question. So like I when people name kids,
you know, you gotta you gotta rhyme them with things and like
you get you get made fun of for your name.
What was the way kids made fun of your name?
Remy Shmemi. I got some things I can't.

(14:39):
I can't. I cannot say on on air.
What do you say that I'm not gonna say yet?
Yeah. Horrible kids.
Hey so Remy to see. It doesn't even.
Just brutal. Just brutal.
So Remy what? What's the best day to go?
If you're going to go to Madame Chazeau's, what's the best day

(15:01):
to go? When do they come alive?
Yeah, yeah. Just the just the weekdays, I
mean, the weekdays are, are the best days.
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are usually our, our busy, our
busy days, right? That's why that's why a lot of
you know, guests want to check out both sides, the the wheel
master saws and the sea life aquarium.
Hey. So like a Wednesday at 1:00,
You're you're pretty good, yeah.Yeah, you'd be, you'll be just

(15:22):
fine coming in at 1:00. Hey.
Remy then wax figure, then lady got nipples.
Yeah, good question, great question.
Can I lift the to see if they'rereal?
I mean, I mean, there's a couple.
Oh, OK, well. You know, that would be
interesting to see. Do they come in full clothes?
Like are they building like a full body and then putting
clothes on? Yeah, well, well, they probably

(15:43):
in the, you know, they know sortof looks right in the shirt or
whatever. They probably have to put
little. Yeah, yeah.
Hey, what about who's the most popular wax figure like that?
Everything. We just we had our Halloween,
our Halloween season. I just finished.
So we had David S Pumpkins from starting live.
So he was kind of, so he was very, so he was very, very, very

(16:03):
popular at at our attraction. Hey, what's the turn around?
Because that's so obscure, you know, that's.
Funny, yeah. What's the turn around on a wax
figure? I actually I do not know to be
honest. Do you know what they call like
what is like David S Pumpkins? What do you think it cost them
to make one? About 900,000 $1,000,000 maybe?

(16:24):
OHH. Come on.
Each one of them things is $1,000,000.
Do you? Have to get Do you have to get
permission from Tom Hanks in order to cause it looks like Tom
Hanks, right? Yeah.
So they, So what they do is theyhad to make sure they have all
the copyrights, make sure they have, you know, all of the
contracts saying, hey, you guys can use this figure at our
location. Most of them are like, no, you
cannot use this one or, or or soon.

(16:46):
But you have to get the right inorder for you to build that the
last figure. How many do you know?
How about? You might or you may or may not
know this, but have there been celebrities that have said no?
Not, not unaware of, no. Yeah, yeah, it's.
Quite an honor, Yeah. I mean, to have somebody like
say we're going to make a wax figure of you.
That's not really do you guys? Do it for what you do it for
radio hoes if you have like, youknow like 5 or 6 people that

(17:07):
were like super cool in Orlando you love.
How much wax you got? Yeah, old riot Holmes.
Not yet. You're still fatter.
No. Did you see what I did to you
yesterday? Did you see that I'm?
A. Little afraid.
Yeah. What?
Hold on, Look. Yeah, hold on.
Look at the look at that picture.
Look, look, look at Ryan Holm standing next to me in that

(17:28):
picture from yesterday. I yeah, I saw.
Lens distortion, Russ. That's what's happening, man.
I'm standing on the side. Is that what it is?
Yeah, I don't know. Does that.
Lens distortion. Yeah, look.
Look how big he looks. My goodness.
It's. Definitely the oversized.
T-shirt? No, it's definitely Russ Didn't
throw it in an editor. Maybe 1?
100% it took me 10 minutes to make it look back.
There we go. You do it like a giant Ryan

(17:50):
Homes that would crush us. You're extra big in that pic.
It looks like Mick Foley in thisone is what he looks like.
