(06:46):
wife Jen. Hi honey, how you doing?
I'm. Fabulous.
We have our foodie. What's up, King?
Mike, how you doing, man? I'm.
Doing great. I just had to look at close
open. Of course, you shifted to an
opening shift. More Damn dude, that's a long
that's a long shift for you. We did.
We did 9 hours today 9:10 no. No, no, no.
I mean, I closed last night and then I opened this morning.
(07:07):
Let's see what I do. Yesterday I pretty much got 2:00
in the morning, didn't go to beduntil 6:00 AM.
So there. And I tried not to keep try not
to make so much noise. He wakes me up and says stuff to
me when I when he comes in everymorning.
It's annoying. How was it annoying?
I just told you, I'm telling youthat I'm home.
I was asleep. But I tell you I'm home though.
(07:29):
But I was asleep. I know, and I'm sorry.
I do apologize. And from Studio 20, really
though I do, I do apologize. I'm sorry.
But you still do it. Yeah, I do.
And from Studio 21, the baseballpodcast.
What is a big country? Well, how you doing, man?
Like Jen, like it's been a long day, but I'm actually going to
be doing double, double work being right here with you.
(07:52):
But I'm also preparing for my own show tomorrow.
Let's go, let's go. All right, so I you know what?
So when I was at work yesterday,I am so sick and tired of these
guests. I'm sorry, but I'm just going to
say it because they do not know how to stop at a freaking stop
sign. They just keep, they just keep
(08:12):
going straight at it. They they don't stop, they just
keep going. And I'm like, guys, I'm, I'm
right here. I can watch you my my camera and
my vehicle can catch you withoutstopping.
Like what? The like, why would you go
through a freaking stop sign? Why?
That doesn't make any sense at all whatsoever.
And I'm kind of pissed at it. Yeah, it's a it's a little rant
(08:35):
I had, but haven't Jen and I, wehaven't been to the theme parks
lately. I was going to go to Hollywood
Studios while she was on, while she was out of town, but it was,
it's way too hot. It's this heat is just really
bad. Mike, how bad?
How bad is it over there with the with the heat?
Oh, it's it's pretty bad. It's already like, it's been
like the hundreds a few times over the.
(08:57):
It's been 100 over there. It's been 100 of it was 100
today, I think. I mean, you have you are having
a pretty decently bad heat wave lately up there.
That makes a lot of sense. We have a worse.
I wasn't gonna say that. We're gonna say.
I was up in Indiana last week and it was decently hot.
It was in the 90s, but it's not the same kind of heat that you
(09:19):
would have in Florida. How was it in not How was it in
the 90s in Indiana? I don't know, ask meteorologist.
I'm not that. No, but did it feel like it was
like that hot over by your your mom and dads or by your
brothers? I mean.
Yes, it felt like it was very warm.
It just didn't feel like it was our kind of heat because it
wasn't as humid. There was humidity, but it
(09:39):
wasn't like stifling humidity. Yeah.
But where are we at right now? Like what's our?
I don't know. Yesterday I got in my car like
3:00. Yesterday afternoon in my car it
was like 105°. One O 5 yesterday, yeah, but
wait, what time you left in the morning?
No, when I got in my car that yesterday afternoon at like 3.
Oh yes, 3. Actually almost 4:00.
It was like 105° in my car. Now granted.
(10:02):
My parking region huh? And no, no shade in the staff
parking. There's no shade in, in the
parking in anywhere in my at my school, no matter what.
There's literally no, we have trees, but they're little trees.
They're not like the big thick oak trees or something.
They so yeah, there's no like, shade.
Even when I even when I got to work yesterday I went into my
(10:25):
car and I saw the temp and it still said 90° but how did how
in the world is it 90° at 2:00 in the morning?
I have no idea. I will say my part of the reason
that my car was so hot was because I have black interior.
You know, that's part of it. I need to get like one of those
things that one of the windshield things to cover.
(10:48):
The the like a windshield shade.Yeah, yeah, I still am.
I getting one too. I was gonna give you, I was
gonna get you a UCF 1 and I was gonna get the Eagles one for my
car. Sounds good to me or I'd do it.
Or the Orlando Magic 1. I can't.
I can't tell which one I get. I don't want the magic one.
I would like a UCF. No, I'm saying for me, like I'm
saying for me, if I want the Orlando Magic or the
Philadelphia Eagles one, but I haven't decided which one I want
(11:08):
to get. But you know, the Braves were me
or the Braves. I couldn't get one of those two.
Maybe, like I said, I really haven't decided.
I really haven't decided which one I want to get.
But for all of you who are watching us on YouTube, thank
you so much for chiming in. And if you guys want to chime in
the chat, you guys can just let us know how hot it is in your in
your guys area. We just want to know.
(11:30):
I mean, it's bad over here. Plus, we have the hurricane.
We have hurricanes coming in soon.
Does not does not not sure when, but if if we get a lot of rain,
we're gonna get a lot of rain. And that's pretty much it.
That means it's gonna be a normal Florida weather day here
in the Sunshine State. But let's go ahead and get
started. It is now time for the latest
(11:52):
theme park updates. It's now time for the latest
theme park updates. It's not just theme parks.
We might throw in a little Florida news too.
From thrilling attractions to headline making Sunshine State
stories, we've got it all lined up.
What's the wait time again for this segment?
(12:12):
0 minutes. It's happening right now.
Take it away, Remy. All right, guys, so we are
starting out over. Where am I going?
We are starting out over at the Magic Kingdom.
That's right, the new show, the new nighttime show, the parade,
which is Starlight Dream the Night Away parade is finally
(12:32):
here. After months of waiting on end
on delays, Magic Kingdom guests can now experience a brand new
nighttime parade, Starlight Dream the Night Away beginning
on August 3rd on starting on August 3rd.
But there here's a kicker. Performance will run at nine,
9:00 PM and 11:00 PM on nights when the park closes at 11:00 PM
(12:53):
from August 2nd through the 19th.
That's double the dazzing, dazzing fun under the stars.
And Jen and I, we've haven't decided when we want to go back
to the Magic Kingdom and go see this nighttime show because I
believe her and I will actually love, love this new nighttime
parade. Jen, do you see any of the
photos or any of the. Nope.
(13:15):
OK, wait. Wait, I might.
Yeah, I think so, because I haveone of my friends.
Her husband is a, is one of the performers that's in the
Starlight Parade. Really.
Yeah. I saw pictures of him in his
costume. So we may have to go see him
then, right? Oh, it might be cool to go see
it. I don't know necessarily if
we'll go see Michael, but. We'll go see it at night, all
right. Also, we have some news for the
annual pass holders and cast members as well, and that is
(13:37):
Walt Disney has officially dropped the past.
I'm sorry to drop the post. Starlight Annual pass holder
reservation rule. Annual pass holders can visit
after 2:00 PM without a reservation except on Saturdays
and Sundays at the Magic Kingdom.
Cast members are also celebrating as blackout dates
(13:58):
have been lifted, giving them a chance to experience the new
show first hand. And here's a little bones for
you guys. The Starlight soundtrack is now
available on all streaming platforms.
So if you guys like the music ofthe Starlight Parade, you guys
can listen to the music right there on Spotify or on a you get
OB. Where you going, buddy?
He's right there. He wants a piece.
(14:20):
There he there he goes. Oh, we got a piece.
Cute. Yeah.
So if you guys want to listen our cat, it is our cats.
But if you guys want to listen to any of the any of the music
from the Starlight Starlight Parade, it is on on on all
streaming platforms. The Little Mermaid attraction
makes a splash early. An unexpected twist.
(14:42):
The popular Under the Sea Dark ride has reopened early
following a brief refurbishment.So everything's better down.
Everything's better down. What is wetter?
That sounds so wrong, Jen. Why would I say that?
I don't know. Jen, I can't hear you, would you
say? I said I don't know.
Mike, do you think that was a little, you think that was a
little off when I said that? I don't think so.
(15:04):
Everything's better down where where it's wetter.
Everything's wetter down where it's wetter.
Take it from me. There we go.
That's all I wanted. But only if you look into it as
being a dirty thing would it be a problem.
You Sir, are a dirty minded person.
He was a crab who obviously liked being in a water
environment. Jen, I just wanted to.
(15:25):
I just sing that part, that's all.
Whoa. Keep going like we're already
doing this. I'm literally tired.
Why are we? Why are we doing this?
We have some Haunted Mansion expanding.
That is. Construction markers have
appeared in the Haunted Mansion graveyard, sparking rumors that
the beloved spooky ride could bepart of a Magic Kingdom
(15:48):
expansion. Nothing's confirmed, but foolish
mortals are watching closely. We have some new merchandise and
that is there's a Jack Skeleton popcorn bucket, which will be
making its way to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party.
And yes, I do want to get that bucket, that popcorn bucket once
it comes out because it looks socool.
Oh, I forgot to tell you, my brother, No.
(16:09):
Has no no. My no he doesn't have like the
bucket. No, he has Jack Skellington
Crocs. Damn, now I want Crocs now,
Jack. Skeleton Crocs.
I want those. They're so cool looking.
Damn, damn it. I don't even like Crocs.
Damn it, why would you tell me that?
Like slip on. So are you.
So are you telling me? So are you telling me that?
Is that a possibility of the shoe I can get?
(16:31):
If you throw some shoes away. OK, All right.
I can do that. Weren't it.
There's a Tron life cycle run photo frame and you guys can
take that home with you for $35.Also, there's a there's a couple
new Haunted Mansion ornaments and those are also for sale for
30 bucks. The press penny machine.
There's an update on that. Liberty squares new design
(16:54):
features Jiminy Cricket in placeof the riverboat.
And lastly at the Magic Kingdom,Disney has reinstated the early
entry benefit for resort hotel guest.
That means you can enter any of the four theme parks, the four
Disney theme parks 30 minutes early every day of your stay,
even on check in and check out days as well.
(17:17):
All right, Jim, what's happeningover at Epcot?
Their Trust Track 3.0 zooms intothe spotlight.
It's time to Rev your engines. The updated Test Track 3.0 is
now featured on the front of Epcot's new paper maps, and a
sleek line of merchandise has arrived, ranging from $15 to
$35. Shirts, pins, mugs, the works.
(17:38):
Damn, that's a lot. Oh La La brunch comes to Chefs
Difference Food and Wine 2025 Say Bon Appetit to the new
brunch buffet at Chefs de France, part of the 2025 Epcot
International Food and Wine Festival.
This breakfast dream includes French pasties like croissant,
Bono chocolate, French baguetteswith buttering jams, cheeses and
(18:03):
charcuterie. I could.
I don't know why you said it that way, silly.
Silky smoked salmon, seasonal fruit and perfect pairing with
your mimosa or Cafe au de. Can you say charcuterie again?
Charcuterie. Charcuterie, Charcuterie.
There is new Epcot merchandise, 7 Dwarf Stein bag at the Germany
(18:23):
Pavilion, and then there is the Guardians of Galaxy.
Well, how much is that for? $60.00 for the Stein bag.
That's a lot for. About It is a lot.
Guardians of the Galaxy, Cosmic Rewind retro merch, hoodies,
mugs, tumblers, and teas that range from 13 to $60.00.
I'm guessing these are probably the $60.00 ones.
That's a lot. And then we have a refurbishment
(18:44):
reveal. The Italy Pavilion Tower is now
fully uncovered after a long refurbishment.
Grab your Gelato and admire the architecture and all its glory.
Maybe we need to go back to Epcot and do that brunch thing.
That sounds pretty good. That sounds really good at Chef
at Chef de France. Yeah, it does look good.
All right, so over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Animation
(19:05):
Courtyard, Disney has filed not one but two permits signaling
major changes. And that is the first permit
covers the archway gateway into Animation Courtyard and the
second permit targets the popcorn cart location just
outside of the art of the archway.
With rumors storing storing about a major overhaul.
(19:26):
This one, this one's sleepy areamight just get a magical glow
up. Could a new attraction be on the
storyboard now? If you guys real, if you guys do
go back and really listen to theprevious episode, like I said
before the Star Wars launch Bay will be closing and we'll say
bye bye to Disney Junior to makeway to make way for the
(19:48):
animation area. So we're bringing, we're
bringing back animation to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
So looking looking forward to that.
And of course, our our good friend, our good friend Dane
from big beautiful Diz. He is very excited about this.
All right, Jen, what's happeningover at Animal Kingdom?
All right, so we have something going on at an expedition
(20:11):
Everett Everest. Disney has filed a new
construction permit for mechanical work on this
legendary coaster. No word yet if the Yeti is
finally getting fixed, but one can dream, right?
So wait a minute, Is that a possibility?
Is that a? Is that a possibility?
Can they fix the Yeti? I don't know, but they said
mechanical work. It could be something.
The coaster fixing the coaster, Yeah, not necessarily the Yeti.
(20:34):
Could be the track. Very hard that they do fix the
Yeti but it apparently takes a lot.
I mean, listening about it, theythat's what, almost a couple
million, $1,000,000 on the Yeti to fix it?
I don't know. I mean, they, if Disney can find
a way to, you know, somehow fix the Yeti, I will be so freaking
happy. I'm like, yes, he's actually
(20:56):
working. The Yeti is back.
The Yeti is coming back to life.Let's do it.
Yeah. We do have some Disney, Disney
Resorts and Disney Springs updates and that is in a move to
boost guest safety, Disney Disney has closed a major
security loophole. Now all guests arriving on
resort buses must go through a new security checkpoint with
(21:20):
metal detectors and bags training.
Expect delays of up to 15 minutes during peak time.
So make sure you guys do plan ahead.
Like I said, we do have some resort news and that is there's
a villain sweatshirt. Bring your wicked fashion game
to trend D, which is a new, new sweatshirt that that has a
(21:41):
Ursula on the Ursula on the front and Jen Ursula is on your
favorite color T-shirt. I'm sorry, your favorite color
sweatshirt, purple. She's on.
She's on a purple sweatshirt. Ah.
Mickey Mouse Touch Land Hand Sanitizer Sleek is available for
20 bucks. There's a new Stitch shoulder
plush which is available for $25.
(22:05):
Disney gift cards, brand new theme designs are now available.
And lastly, Port Orleans Riverside ear headbands is now
available for $35. Let's see 3535 dollars.
Yeah, Old Key West water taxi has returned.
That's right, the water transportation is back.
Guests at Disney's Old Key West Resort can once again enjoy a
(22:29):
leisurely boat ride to Disney Springs.
We got some ongoing constructionMaestro Mickey's over at the All
Star Music Resort beginning phased refurbishment Bird Cage
bar at the Grand Floridian. There's framing and construction
is underway as well. And lastly, over at Saratoga
Springs, there's some McKenna, there's a mechanical permit has
(22:52):
been filed for that resort as well.
Jen, what's going, What's going on at Universal?
All right, at Universal Orlando Resort Halloween Horror Nights
2025, terror returns. There's two new terrifying
haunted houses that have been announced.
Five nights at Freddy's. I thought we already talked
about that before, but the yeah, animatronic nightmares await.
And WWE presents the horrors of the Wyatt 6 tribute to Bray
(23:16):
Wyatt featuring Uncle Howdy Bo Dallas.
Yeah, you. See, you see, Mike, you're not
in Florida, so you, you won't beable to see this haunted house.
But I will. I might.
I don't know. Universal Horror Unleashed
promises more even more expansions to the this year's
haunted offerings. Universal Horror Unleashed is
over and over in Las Vegas, so there's a lot of cool stuff
(23:39):
that's happening over there as well.
Pass Holder appreciation days are August 15th to September
30th at Universal. It's rolling out the red carpet
for its loyal pass holders. Free 10 year at UO AP Magnets,
discounts on Universal Express passes, exclusive merchandise,
treats and more. There is a new merchandise
alert. I know we don't have annual
passes anymore. We don't.
(24:00):
Not there at least. Grinch and Max shoulder plushes
who will approach. Approved for $25.
Damn. There's a wage in wage increase
coming soon. Beginning September 17th, 2025,
Universal Orlando starting wage increases to 1850 an hour from
up to $17.00 an hour. Several rules will also see
(24:21):
salary bumps. OK, so maybe I should apply for
universal 'cause that's. Stay with your job. 1850 an
hour. Let's go universal.
Yeah, how about you like stay inthe job that you're in?
I am staying. I'm I'm happy where I'm at.
Get to sit, get get to sit in the truck and do absolutely
nothing. So I'm I'm happy.
About How about we not talk about that on on a radio state?
(24:43):
Well, they're well, whatever. All right, so let's see here.
We do have some Florida attractions and travel news
guys, check this out. What was the last time you guys
went to the Kennedy Space Centerfor me that then within the last
two years, two years for Big Country.
Jen, when was the last time you went to the Kennedy Space
Center? Oh God, I don't even remember
(25:05):
the last time I went to the Kennedy.
Space. I don't think I've been there.
Mike, have you? Mike, have you ever been to the
Kennedy Space Center? I don't remember if I have.
I don't think I have actually. I mean, I've been there, but I
don't think I've been there since.
I don't think I've been there since I was a kid.
It's been, it's been a while since I've been to the Kennedy
Space Center. I think the last time I went
there was when it was myself, Ben and Justin.
(25:27):
We saw the with our rocket launch on the beach and that was
pretty cool. Ben and Justin are his two of
his best friends. Yeah, my 2 buddies.
Since nobody knows who those people are.
I know. But anyway, over at the Kennedy
Space Center, it's not just, it's not just about beaches and
Mickey anymore. NASA's Kennedy Space Center
ranks number one in the US for attractions, according to a new
(25:50):
report. Congratulations to Kennedy Space
Center. Let's see date.
Let's see date. Date.
Yes, you know why does you know why does Frank number one, most,
most visit attraction in Florida?
Kind of obvious why it will get a lot of foot traffic.
That's true. Yeah.
Imagine of how many people stop and visit that prize location
(26:14):
either as they're going to a cruise or they just got off a
cruise, or if they sailing at the Northeast and Port Canavera
have been a port of call and they could spend in Florida for
a day. You know what?
That makes a good valid point. I guess this article is true.
I mean, Congrats to the Kennedy Space Center for being number
(26:34):
one in the US for attractions. I mean, it's an off road
attraction, which people want togo see space, they want to go to
the beaches, they want to see a couple of rocket launches.
So you know what, it does make sense.
It makes it makes a lot of senseto go check out the the Kennedy
Space Center, which Jen, we needto plan a weekend to go to to
that place to go to the Kennedy Space Center.
(26:55):
What do you think? OK, OK.
All right. Daytona Aquarium debuts
Rainforest Adventure, a brand new family friendly exhibit has
is now open featuring exotic creatures and lush scenery
perfect for nature's lovers of all ages.
Camping World Stadium gets a newhome.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Camping World Stadium is is going to get a brand new name.
(27:20):
The Orlando stadium is undergoing a 400, $1,000,000
renovation. It could soon have a brand new
name to its name. Let's go.
All right, Jen, what we got for a cruise line all?
Right Disney Cruise Line Spider Man swings on to Disney's
destiny. A new Spider Man Stern character
has been installed, adding some superhero flair to the to the
(27:42):
high seas. That's.
Cool. Don't even know what that
actually means, but cool so. You don't.
You know what the stern is on a boat.
Oh yeah, I know what the Stern is.
The backside of the backside of the boat.
There's a spider man on that. Yeah, on the new, on the new.
Crew ship. Yeah, that was a little weird
that that was the way that that was written, but OK.
So we have some, we do have somecool pop culture news and
(28:03):
auctions as well. For all you nerds out there for
Star Wars, there's a Stormtrooper helmet that that
just that just sold at auction for 250 five, $255,000.
Darth Vader Original Trilogy lightsaber has to auction this
September and is expected to fetch up to $3,000,000.
(28:27):
And there's an Ewok plush or from indoor, which is now
available for $30 dollars as Star Wars Galaxies Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. We got some Lucasfilm update and
that is the Bad Batch will be returning this year.
Also, there's some cool Disneyland crossover and, and
you guys will be able to pick upthis mug as well as the

All right, so since we we are all here, Mike, I need you, I
need for you to do me a favor. I need for you to start writing
stuff down for me. And we're going to do a rating
on the some of the some of the ride of the weeks that we have
(52:54):
done so far to make it an official rating.
All right, the first, so the first, the actual first ride of
the week that we did was Ace Mountain.
Mike out of five Mickey ears. Do you give it?
A tough one. What?
Do you give it? I mean, I do like it, but I also
know it's I do like it, but I wouldn't say it's an amazing
(53:17):
ride. OK. 3.8 probably. 3.8 for Mike,
for me, me, I'm going to, I'm going to give it a 4.5.
Wow. Jen, what do you give?
What do you give? Space Mountain out of five
stars. You know what?
No, no, no, no, 4-4 change one to four do.
You want to change rows of four?OK, fine.
All right, so 4 from Mike 4.5 for me then.
(53:40):
Zero because I would never go onit.
Because we would never go on it.OK, well, all right, so we'll
disqualify you. Big country.
What do you what do you give a space mountain out of five
years? All right, Well, I guess Jared
is not. Jared's not here.
So. 425 then. You want to do a four would do
another 4.5. No, it's 4.25 dude.
What is it? All right, so .2 all.
(54:01):
Right, so we give. So we give a space mountain a
4.2. All right, so. 54.25.
South. Round .5 / 2 is.
Yeah, so 5. All right, so round it. 4.3.
All right, cool. No.
Doing 4.25. Just do 4.25.
It doesn't matter if it's rounded.
All right, fine. 4.25 for Space Mountain.
All right, Mike, just a second one that wasn't really a it
(54:24):
wasn't really a ride. It was actually a show that we
that we covered Fantasmic 555 S 5 for me, 5 for Mike.
Jen, what do you get, Fantasmic? And I know you did not see the
show, but what do you give it? It's like a four.
So a four for Jen divided by thethree of us and Tasmic came in.
A four came in at a 4.6. All right, the last one, I'm
(54:48):
sorry. Next one that we did, we did on
Indiana Jones epic stunt spectacular.
Mike, out of five, how many, howmany stars do you give it?
4.544 just 4. 4 for Mike. I give it a 5 Jen.
Which one? Indiana Jones Epic Stunt
Spectacular 5 five. There we go.
(55:08):
You know what, No 5. Actually, 5I do remember that
show. I was thinking of a different
show. But what show we what show are
you thinking of? I was thinking of another show
that I know what that's technically in with Indiana and
the other church is at Universal, right?
No. I mean not universal.
Highwood Studios. Studios.
I was thinking of the other Highwood Studios show that was
(55:30):
that. That's actually I don't think
it's there anymore at the backyard.
Well, we might be, we might be, we might be covering that.
So XO All right, so we all give Indiana Jones the rating,
overall rating rating for Indiana Jones.
We give it a 5. So Mike write it down five
stars. That's our rating.
All right, the last one we covered, this was on last week's
episode with we went to Universal Studios and the right
(55:54):
of week, the right of the week that we covered was on Jaws.
Mike, how many stars do you giveJaws out of five?
What was on Jaws 4.5? 4.5 and I'm going to give it a
5. Try to give it a 5.
Jen. 4.5. And a 4.5 from Jen divided by
three. We give Jaws a 4.6 as well.
(56:18):
Well damn. And the reason why I give it a 5
is because I used to work on Jaws.
So there you go. That's why.
And by the way, can one of the weeks next week, can you
possibly try to go on Velocicoaster?
Well, Mike, I'm glad you brought.
I see. Have you actually been on
Velocicoaster? Well, when the last time I went
(56:38):
to Universal, yes, I did. You finally did.
I went on. As you chickened out during the
meeting. I know I did.
I know I did. OK, wait.
OK, let's do that one. I'm going to.
See. Well, Mike, Mike, we have a
really cool ride right now. We're doing it on for Ride of
the Week. Are you ready?
What is it? You can find this attraction at
Universal Studios. It's right beside the Blues
(57:00):
Brothers, right across from Jimmy Fallon.
We are going to Revenge of the Mummy.
Welcome to Revenge of the Mummy.Welcome to Revenge of the Mummy.
(57:25):
Step inside the temple. Don't look back.
A mommy's curse is on the attack.
Golden greed have sealed your fate.
Now it's too late to escape. Fire Burst will start to shake
in. My tap is now awake.
(57:47):
Darkness falls the right takes light.
You're in for one wild night. Revenge, Revenge of the mummy.
Scream and fast through an ancient tomb, twisting and
turning into doom. Revenge, revenge of the mummy.
(58:14):
You can't escape this crystal man.
He's coming back again and again.
Where is my cup of coffee? You thought it was a movie set.
Now you're trapped in a deadly bed.
Scared of beetles. Was a flame.
(58:36):
This is more than just a game. Launching forward into the
black. Then you're flying fast right
back, laughing voices evil. Eyes revenge, Revenge of the
(59:00):
mummy. From the crypt to the Chamber of
fire, he'll feed on your soul and never tire.
Revenge, revenge of the mummy. You can scream, you can pray.
But he wrote that who won't go away.
(59:23):
Here's my cup of coffee. Just when you think it's over,
the flames rise higher, The ridegets colder.
Your souls are mine for all eternity.
(59:45):
You're only home. My final scream was this Reed.
Or just a dream Revenge. Revenge of the Mummy, A theme
(01:00:06):
park ride or cursed delight. You'll be haunted every night
then. Revenge of the mommy.
He's watching, waiting. Never far.
You'll find him wherever you are.
(01:00:26):
Where is my cup of coffee? You ate it all this time.
(01:01:03):
Oh, I've been on that right too.Here's.
A little hit here is the little history on Revenge of the Mummy.
Curse begins. Revenge of the Mummy open at
Universal Studios back in back on May May 21st 2004, 2002,
1004. That's when Revenge Revenge of
(01:01:25):
the Mummy opened at Universal Studios on May 21st, 2004,
replacing the classic Dark Ride confrontation.
Now something. Now some fans were not happy
about Kong leaving because confrontation was a beloved
attraction. But once Mummy debuted, many
guests quickly quickly fell in love with this fast-paced indoor
(01:01:49):
coaster. What makes Revenge of the Mummy
stand out? It's not just a coaster, it's a
story driven thrill. A driven thrill ride that
combines the elements of a dark ride, special effects,
animatronics, fire and high speed and high speed launches.
Oh yeah. It's a large coaster.
It doesn't go too fast, but it does like all of that there is.
(01:02:11):
You do see the screens and stuffand the seats actually do.
But in fact it's copy. In fact, it's so good they copy
pasted it at kind of copy pasteda lot of vibes when they were
between Universal Studios and inHollywood and Universal Studios
Florida. That's true.
But the cool thing about this, the cool thing about this, the
way they, the way I put it, I the way I would describe Revenge
(01:02:35):
and Mummy. Think of it as a haunted house
meets a coaster. Yeah, think about it.
It's a haunted house. It's a coaster.
So when my parents went to when my parents first went to
Universal to try out that vibe with me because we went there
because my dad has ever been to,we haven't been to university so
far down while and Universal Hollywood Studios didn't have
(01:02:57):
the one thing that my dad reallywanted to do the wizarding word
of Harry Potter, because they have a Hogsmeade there, don't
have a Diagon Alley, but they dohave Hogsmeade at at Hollywood
Studios. I said I wanted to do this ride.
It wasn't my dad's favorite, butit was the second favorite ride
there. Wait, your dad did like or he
just didn't care for it? No, no, he did like it.
It was a second favorite ride. That's good.
(01:03:19):
That's good. My mom loved it.
My mom loved it too. Thinking like OK this right is
fun. And we'll never go on it because
her well, because her, her back problems.
So and I I I understand. Revenge of the How about?
It Yeah. Revenge of the Mummy, Jen.
I have torn, torn, bulging discsin my lower back.
Yeah, so that's a no for coasters.
(01:03:41):
Also my neck is I have bulging discs in my neck.
OK. So that makes sense, yeah.
So we do have some, we do have some movie connections about
this. It's also one of the reasons I
don't like dinosaur. That's why that's why too.
All right, so we do have some cool movie connections about
this attraction, Revenge of the Mummy.
And that is why The Mummy. Back in the late 90s and early
(01:04:04):
2000's, The Mummy franchise starring Brandon Frazier was a
massive hit for Universal Pictures.
First film in 1999 brought in over $415 million worldwide and
Universal was ready to cash in on that success in the theme
parks. So they just so they decided to
replace Kung Fu confrontation with a ride theme to the Mummy.
(01:04:27):
Not just any money mummy story. This ride blurs the lines
between movie and reality. Instead of just following the
plot of the film, the story is that you're on, you're on a
movie set of a new Mummy film and Oh, no real curse of Imhotep
has been unleashed. All right, so we do have some,
(01:04:48):
we do have some ride details about this attraction and that
is, let me find my notes real quick.
Here we go. That is now technically, since
this is a Universal, this is Universal.
It's not called Imagineering, That's Disney's term.
Universal's creative team pulledout all the stops for this one.
Here's what they packed into theexperience.
(01:05:10):
First of all, it's an indoor, ithas an indoor roller coaster
track. It's manufactured by Premier
Rides and uses a linear indication.
Sorry, linear induction motor launch system.
So in other words, it's it's an Lim launch.
Oh, you blast forward with no traditional lift hill.
This is my favorite part. That's my favorite part of the
(01:05:32):
attraction. You also have some special
effects. So check this out.
You've got massive fireballs, balls covered in Skyrab
projections, animatronics, animatronics of Imhotep and
Eerie Pedro was a hieroglyphic laden tomb that feels like
stepping right into the movie. Which Yep, there's also a drop
(01:05:54):
track effect. The ceiling collapse in the
treasure room before you plummetbackwards feels like the floor
is giving out from you from under you.
Brendan Frazier cameo. He pops up at the beginning and
at the end of the attraction desperately trying to get trying
to get his what, Mike? What is Brendan Frazier trying
to get I. Know what he's trying to get?
(01:06:15):
Kind of remember right now because it was he was trying to
get his treasure. No, it's not treasure.
He was like he was trying to gethis coffee.
He's. Trying to get his cup of coffee.
Welcome back, hope you enjoyed yourself.
I would have enjoyed this interview a lot more if I had
gotten my cup of coffee. Thank you.
(01:06:38):
Yeah, coffee. Yeah.
And I haven't even been on the ride and I know that that's.
Such a funny cameo. Here's a cool fact about this
ride. The fire ceiling is so hot you
can feel it even when you're moving at 40 mph.
In fact, years, it's one of the hottest flame effects ever used
in a theme park. That is very true.
(01:07:01):
Very true. Say that they cool you off.
I should turn the because it does get hot.
So did you know that the rides tagline is Your soul belongs to
me? Delivered an emo tips ominous
voice. The hidden King Kong statue in
the treasure room as he nod to the ride it replaced back in
2022, Revenge of the mummy underwent a massive
(01:07:24):
refurbishment, upgrading its right system while keeping the
same storyline reversals creative team calls this right a
psychological thrill coaster because it mixes physical
thrills with spooky storytelling.
Right now here's my favorite part about this about this
segment and that is we do have some guest reviews.
Let's talk about real quick. One fan says they give it a five
(01:07:47):
star review. They said this is the perfect,
perfect universal ride. Scary, funny, fast, immersive.
It's like if if Haunted Mansion and rock and roller coaster had
a baby. We also we do also have a
there's a three star. There's a three star review and
of course from a Karen and she said that it's too dark.
(01:08:07):
I couldn't see where I was goingand I think Brendan Fraser was
yelling at me about coffee that about well, he want his cup of
coffee and my personal rating tell him.
Here's how I'm rating Revenge ofthe Mummy thrill factor 9 out of
10. Retelling out of 10 rewrite
ability 10 out of 10. Do an atmosphere 8 out of 10.
(01:08:28):
In other words, here's why because I used to work at that
attraction. That's why I give those reviews
for my final thoughts. And that is Avenge of the Mummy
is a must do every time I go to Universal.
Universal Studios. The perfect combination of
spooky, thrilling and just plainfun.
Let's let's be honest, all right, it just to hear Brendan
Fraser's voice shouting out about his coffee.
(01:08:49):
Next time you're at Universal, skip the gift shop and head
straight to for the Mummy's tomb.
But remember, the curse is real. There you go.
And now I want my and now I wantmy damn cup of coffee.
Hey guys, have it. That was ride of the week on
bench of the Mummy. And next time, next time we do
ride the week, we will be heading over to Velocity
(01:09:10):
Coaster. Yes, at Alan's Adventure.
So quick question. So if out of five, then what
would you say the overall would you give?
For Revenge of the Mummy, Five stars.
Those two, I can't. Oh, what about Big Country?
What about you? Country what do you get big
Country, what do you give revenge of the mummy?
Something is on, but and what doyou?
What do you give Revenge of the Mummy?
(01:09:31):
I can't do it. I can't do it because I have not
actually been. On well, even though you.
It was scary trying. OK, so tried to do it.
Flashback. A long time ago and when we
first started dating and we wentthere and I got all the way up
to where we were going to get onthe ride, I freaked out as it
was so dark and now I can't rideit so.
(01:09:52):
Well, after the, I mean after all this history about that
attraction, you can still give it a rating.
So what would you give it? I mean, I would probably give it
a four. I had ridden it so four that
it's thrilling so. So overalls a we get the mummy a
4.64 point 6 now I believe Jen is Jen is heading out for the
evening. So it's good.
It's just going to be myself andMike.
(01:10:14):
He did it on ride the week was on Revenge of the Mummy and next
week we will do it on do it on Vol loss.
We'll do it on Velocity coaster.So.
So that being said guys, it's now time for Mike's Cheese.
You smell that it's the flavor of the parks.
Time for the tastiest part of the show?
(01:10:35):
Mike's Munchies. You smell that?
It's the flavor of the parks. Time for the tastiest part of
the show. Wow, Mike's Munchies.
(01:10:55):
He's got the map and he's ready to dine.
From Disney Eats to Universals Live One man 1 mission, one
tasty plan. Are you hungry bitches?
Curly mice on the hunt with a fork and a grin.
Diving face first where the flavors begin.
(01:11:15):
Andre Chick desert. Define Andre.
Oh yes, frozen and fun. From fancy bites to theme park
basic and base. From the appetizer line to the
desert tray that says your mom. Call it tizer Yum Andre.
(01:11:39):
Yes Sir, Yes Sir, let's go and don't forget that tray.
Are you hungry bitches 'cause I AM Zero in one hand, pretzel in
the other, living that foodie life like no one's mother,
(01:11:59):
breaking it down course by course at every table.
He's the flavor soul from flame BBQ to toot some snack.
Mike's got a menu that's never off track.
You want Rex, he's got them by the plate.
Mike's munchies never hesitate. All right, Mike.
(01:12:53):
That tastes so grains, burgers, ribs and Donuts stack with Mike
on the mic, you'll Neverland. He's got the scoop and the
foodie flavor loose in your beltand pull up a chair.
You hungry? But just 'cause I am.
Remy totals up the building racing fun with That's a fun 5
(01:13:21):
right there, Baby Mike's munchies where taste buds take a
thrill ride only on Remy's roundtable.
(01:13:43):
Hey, are you hungry? I want to know the.
Best spots to check out while visiting your favorite theme
parks right here in Florida? We call this segment Mikes
Munchies. King Mike will take you to your
favorite theme park restaurant. He'll pick out an appetizer, an
entree and a dessert and give usthe grand total of his meal.
Take it away, King, Mike. Mike So it's time for Mike's.
(01:14:05):
It's time for Mike's munchies. So, Mike, you know the drill
that where the hell are we going, man?
Oh, we are going to. Well, this has been a while in
coming, but we are going to Contemporary Cafe to Dizzy's
Contemporary Resort. Remember what I told you last
time when we, when I, when we did this, the last time we last
time we spoke, I told you how many items did they get rid of?
(01:14:28):
They got rid of 20 items. Yeah, 20 items.
It's crazy small now. So, so this is a so this is like
a little little cafe and it's, uh, it's small, It's right.
Where exactly is it? Is it in, is in the contemporary
resort? Is it right by the the monorail?
Yes, it is. In fact, you could see the
monorail above it. Oh, that's cool.
(01:14:51):
Hey, Mike. So here's my here's my question.
Your first, so your first thing on the item is you're getting a
drink. What are you getting?
OK, so for drinks, hang on a second here.
So, so for the Contempo Cafe, I don't know why to say Contempo.
It's just Contempo. Let's just say, OK, so you have
(01:15:11):
beer and wine and stuff, but I have to choose one.
I'm going to go with another Howard Ching drink, which I'm
going to go with Ramona Blood Orange Wine Spritz.
Oh, OK. So so it's lightly sparkling
Sicilian wine mixed with organicblood orange juice 11:50. 1150
(01:15:33):
OK. Anyway, moving along, we're
going to talk about. So there's not really many
appetites. Well, OK, so appetizers, but
they're not like the typical ones where it's like you could
get you could get like it's mostly stirred depending on what
you get. So they have far parts, of
course, which are more of a share up with thing.
I'm not getting that for a single person.
(01:15:54):
Otherwise that'll be my whole meal.
One thing I will say though is that they have that's pretty
good is they have a but they have a loaded cheese fries,
loaded cheese fries we're bacon, cheddar, scallions, jalapeno and
housemate advance and that's 649so.
Bro, bro, we may when you come to Florida next year and we end
up at the Contemporary Resort, you know, I may have to, you
(01:16:16):
know, I may have to share, sharethat because that sounds so
good. Cheese, cheese fries with bacon
and scallion. Oh dude, that sounds good.
How much? How much is it?
49, so 650. Actually, that's not bad at all.
I'll buy that. OK, so the other bakery stuff
there too, but we'll talk about that stuff for waiter.
They have a few things there. Wait, let me make sure it got
(01:16:38):
down to yeah, 649. I'm gonna go with a sandwich
there because they have some pretty good sandwiches, which
the one I'm gonna go with is there.
I'm going to go with possibly myfavorite thing there, which is
the person. Oh, here it is.
Patty Melt. Dude.
And the cool thing about this place, it's a cafe, but they
(01:17:00):
make all of their sandwiches, their appetizers, their snacks.
Those are all handmade at the contemporary resort.
And the reason why I like the Patty melt is it's a grilled
cheese with a burger Patty, carameless onion and Patty melt
sauce. Hey, I'm going to tell you guess
how much that cost, About 9 bucks.
It's 1390. 9 teen bucks for for that sandwich.
(01:17:22):
OK, I will buy that. It's a good, it's a petty melt.
It's a good cheese sandwich for the.
Food. I'll buy that too.
That sounds good. Anyway, and As for dessert, I'm
gonna make a I'm gonna talk about one thing though.
This is for they do have what iscalled the Mickey Mouse
Celebration Cake. Those wheels are way too much.
I saw I went to when I was over at my resort.
Yes, when I was at my when I wasat my resort there night I went
(01:17:48):
inside to get a little like somefresh air and stuff.
So I went inside and I saw how much those things cost, $16.00
for one of them. And I'm like, that's too.
Much No, no, no, no, no, no. The Mickey Mouse celebration
cakes no the I don't think you get it the right one.
So the Mickey Mouse celebration cakes are they feed 4 to 6
people. Oh, OK.
(01:18:09):
And how much? How much is that?
39 bucks each. Me no.
Four people. Dude, come on, That's like,
that's too much cake. There's way too much cake
though. Yeah, 4 to 6 people though.
So if you get 6 people $39.00, that's about, that's actually
pretty cheap actually, it'll be.Like 6 bucks, 50 OK, all right,
(01:18:31):
so 40 bucks. So they have two of them.
They have white chocolate, whichis vanilla cake with white
chocolate ganache and white chocolate mousse, and chocolate
cake which is cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate
mousse. OK.
And are you any? Are you going to get that for
your dessert? No, no, no, I said.
It's for people. It's for a huge put people.
But no, I'm gonna go with hey, my mom.
(01:18:52):
I got my mom is coming up. Hang on a second.
Oh, Mike is saying bye to his mom, My wife.
She's a getting a little snack right now, or drink or water,
but she's a little she's tired. She's to get up early to help
out their classroom to get it all set up for the school year.
And I might stop by tomorrow to help her out.
But I got a lot of groceries. I got, I'm sorry, I got a lot of
errands to do to do for tomorrowand that means I got to clean my
(01:19:17):
car out, got to clean the room out.
So. Yeah, but all right, Mike.
So anyway, so. My dessert I was going to say
because I forgot to say it, the chocolate peanut butter.
Part sounds like a knock off version of a Reese's Cup.
Oh, it's actually so. It's chocolate crushed peanut
butter cream filling with chocolate ganache and it's top
of Pamphley strawberry whipped cream and strawberry crisps.
(01:19:38):
Oh, buddy, that sounds good. That sounds good.
Which is that? It's 590. 9-6 bucks.
All right, bucks, let's do it. All right, so that with this.
All right, So boom. Plus that and there's no tips.
So you're good on that because there's a cafe hike.
Are you ready for your grand total Bucks $40.00 for Contempo
(01:19:59):
Cafe. Yeah, that is not bad.
I will for my rating Contempo Cafe since they do have really
good food there. I'm going to give it a four,
four stars. Give it 4/2.
All right, so, so between you and I good rating for four stars
for for it. So it's not bad Mike.
Well, thank you so much for Mike's Munchies and tell me man,
(01:20:20):
where are we heading to next time for Mike's munchies since.
We are going to next week for a Universal.
I thought we should also go to another Universal park and eat
that. So I'm choosing the Confisco
Grill. Yeah, this is great.
Good margaritas too. Sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Did I? Did I say that out loud?
(01:20:40):
I am so sorry. I did not mean to say that.
You you kind of rude when I was gonna get for my what I was
gonna choose as as my potential trick.
Well, too bad, so sad because I'm telling you, man, those
Margaret, I'm talking man, thosemargaritas were good.
I had like maybe three of them when I when I was with a couple
buddies of mine. We're like, hey, where should we
(01:21:02):
go for for trains? Let's go to Confessco.
All right, cool. He's like, where you buying?
I'm like, I'm getting Margarita. He goes, good, put on my tab.
I'm like, all right, fine. A couple hours went by.
We got we got another one the last hour while we were there.
He goes get one more Margarita to like to go.
He goes, had to go. He goes, yeah, so we actually
(01:21:22):
got a couple more margaritas to go and we just drank them around
the park and I'm like feeling it.
I'm good. All right, so we are heading to
